Do you think this rp is suitable for newcomers?

I’m not sure if you mean newcomers to rp or the CQ comic scene, but in both cases, absolutely!!! We do our best to make a chill, supportive space for both experienced rpers and people who’ve never rped before at all! Heck, back in 2016, GVRP was my first time roleplaying, and here I am now - and we’re always happy to help newcomers wherever we can!!

We might be a lil more selective with the super main canon characters, but for the most part, you don’t need any prior experience at all!! And, really, the only comic you need to already know is the one you’re submitting a character for - we have a few quick rundowns of all the comics if you want, but you don’t need to have read Mortifer or anything before jumping in! - mod Neon (who really needs some icons)

What does the prompt cryptid mean?

It’s truly a homage towards “Conversations with a Cryptid” one of, if not THE fic, that popularized the Dad for One theory; it is also a reference to how AFO himself could be considered a cryptid.

You don’t have to do something that references CWAC if you don’t want to, that or you could do something fun like hunting for cryptids or just in general reference AFO’s cryptidness.

Really it’s something pretty vague enough that you can interpret however you want it.
