Jamil Viper

• Jamil's confession would be dictated by jealousy. Of course, he was aware that Kalim was your good friend. However, seeing you visiting their dormitory more and more often gave him a strange feeling. Are you here purely because you're friends? Or maybe you changed your mind and you love the prince? It took him a while to understand that the visits were dictated by the fact that you cared about himself. Because despite all his intelligence, he still hadn't completely overcome his feeling of being lower in the hierarchy than Kalim.

• The confession certainly wouldn't have happened before the Overblot. If it had, it would have been a long time after. After he had apologized to you and reorganized his self-perception. Rebuilding trust takes time. He wouldn't have tried anything until he was absolutely certain you had forgiven him.

• Jamil would make a point of cooking dinner for you. He's good at it and he knows it. That's why his signature recipes would turn into a table full of your favourite delicacies. All of this on the roof of the dormitory, surrounded by beautiful lamps in various shades and colours and soft satin pillows. He didn't want anyone to disturb you.

• He would be honest with you, which you would appreciate a lot because it doesn't come easy to him. He hopes that you are visiting Scarabia because of him and not Kalim. When asked if he is jealous, he would answer truthfully. Your kiss on the cheek would give him hope before you could answer him with words. He would breathe a sigh of relief, confessing his feelings. You are someone who motivated him to wake up and change for the better. You have to forgive him because this time he will be selfish. He loves you too much to let go...

Jack Howl

• Jack, like the rest of the first years, doesn't fully understand romantic love yet. He's grasping it on a theoretical level, which doesn't mean he has any experience with it. It'll take him a while to get to the point where he realizes he's chosen you as the object of his affections. You could even say that the situation will force him to do so.

• He grew up believing that the person he loves will be with him for life. This is what his parents passed on to him and he will stick to it.

• The first moment he clearly realized that he was treating you differently was when you and Grim were attacked. Several NRC students had a bad day and decided to take it out on the innocent, non-magical prefect. When he saw that, he only gave one warning. Right after that, in the blink of an eye, the white wolf scattered the unpleasant attackers. Of course, he would do that for anyone he considered a friend. However, the violence with which he reacted surprised him. You can be sure that after this situation, he would gently check if everything was okay with you. Any scratch? He'll carry you back to the dormitory on piggyback. Just don't comment on it as openly as Grim did, or Jack will turn red.

• After this event, the guy would start to realize that maybe you are more than just a friend. He would go for the classic, so a subtle bouquet of wildflowers and chocolates. Not too big, not too small, but just right. If you don't like sweets, he would definitely take that into account, buying some edition with sea salt because he knows your habits very well.

• In simple but sincere words, he would tell you how much he is charmed by you. Jack knows that love is built and takes time to develop into a deep form. That is why he would declare his readiness to work hard for your mutual feeling. You can be sure that he will put his whole heart into it.

Ace Trappola

• Ace had girlfriends before. But he never took them 100% seriously. He assumed he was young and had time for everything.

• To him, you were like a buddy. A good teammate, with whom you could get into trouble, laugh and get out of the worst when the situation got completely serious.

• Unlike Deuce, Ace is not blind to his feelings. When love does come, he will be aware of it very quickly. It's just that the moment of falling in love will come right after the stage of treating you like the rest of his best friends. However, this is by no means a flaw. It's one of the strongest possible foundations.

• He will go on the attack quite quickly. Ace will try to flirt. With varying results. Better or worse, but he will (your friends will be fed up with him, except for Sebek, who will not understand anything...). That is why when you take the initiative one day, a rascal's smile will appear on his face. However, verbal jousting will not last forever.

• Ace doesn't feel big bouquets, sweet nothings or love songs. He's not afraid to admit his feelings for you, though. He'll ask his friends to take Grim away from you for a while, and when you're alone, he'll ask if you feel the same way.

• He has a heart on his cheek and if you agree, he will give it to you... But only half because he has to have something left! (Maybe he is a bit romantic when he really wants to. Don't tell the others because they won't let him live, okay?)

Valentine’s Day always brought up old memories. Thoughts to a time that didn’t even feel like you had lived it anymore. So much had changed, things you never really expected too. It’s weird that it feels so much heavier this year. Maybe since it had been ten years. A decade later and your life was not what you had wanted or expected it to be. Which explains why you pull the box stuffed away in your closet out. A layer of dust covering the top and you slowly blow it away as you pull the lid open to memories you hadn’t revisited in a very long time.

It’s the big things you notice first. The pair of roller skates you seemed to live in sophomore year of high school. A stack of year books with worn covers and faded signatures on the inside. A hoodie, one from him that overtime just became yours. Then it was the pictures. So many pictures it made you realize just how much of your life had been intertwined with his. It may have been ten years since but it was still ten years together before. Trying your best to avoid your young smiling face you find a stack of letters, rubber banded together with handwriting that is all too familiar. You knew it maybe wasn’t the best idea to read one, open old wounds, and yet you can’t stop yourself from freeing one of the envelopes.

Did I happen to mention just how beautiful you looked today. I didn’t hear a single thing in Calc class because you kept brushing that perfect hair out of your face and across those shoulders. All I could think about was the smell of your perfume and wishing my head was buried in your neck. If I fail it’ll be all your fault but I wouldn’t really mind. It’d be worth it if it meant I got to keep looking at you. Just a degreeless loser with the most perfect wife. That’s right, I said wife, because I’m going to marry the hell out of you. The tears that spring to your eyes are not intentional. It was just that you had almost forgotten just how much he loved you. It was still your biggest regret that you never got to tell him just how much you loved him too. Maybe he had a girlfriend or even a different wife now but that still never stopped you from checking his Instagram and watching all of his latest movies. Which is why you’re so quick to pull up his account and scroll through the posts. He had grown up so much. He wasn’t that young 19 year old boy you used to know. He was a man now, a man you had let go of in order to not hold him back.

It’s when you accidentally double tap the screen and the heart appears do you feel your stomach drop. In instant panic you realize you’ve just become one of those crazy exes who still looks at their old boyfriend’s profile. Yet you shouldn’t feel this way. Drew was always your closest friend after all. So in order to make yourself look less crazy or possibly even more crazy, you hit the message button on the top.

Hey, was just reminiscing. So proud of all the things you have done. Hope all is well.

The internal cringe is enough for you to throw your phone across the room and pray that his famed status will keep him from ever seeing any notifications from you. Yet that isn’t proven true when your phone dings with a text from an unknown number on the other side of the room. Nervously picking it up, you prepare for whatever the text may hold.

Hey, it’s Drew. I’m really hoping this is still your number 😅

I got your DM but it feels weird messaging you of all people over Instagram

The second text comes through as you’re finished reading the first one, nerves tingling through your entire body. You hadn’t expected a DM back, let alone a text. Yet here you both were and now you had to face the consequences of your actions. You were the one who reached out first after all.

It’s still me! I would have texted but obviously your number did change

You know how awkward it seems. Texting him professionally as if he isn’t the only person in the world you are most comfortable with. You don’t have time to dwell considering another text comes through.

Yeah, I actually had to ditch it after a crazy fan incident. I would have given you my new one but honestly I figured you didn’t want it.

Of course I’d want it, no matter what you’ll be important to me

You don’t want to come off as flirty but it was true. Even if your relationship had been ten years ago. Drew held your heart and gave you every first experience of love in your life. That never goes away, he would carry those firsts around with him forever.

You home? I’m in town and I’d love to meet up

It’s not the text you expect to come after the one you just sent. Knowing Drew was so close now made you even more nervous. It had been so long. Were you really even ready for that kind of confrontation? Then again you didn’t want him to think you were still all torn up especially after you reached out to him. So you sucked it up and texted back.

Yeah! We could meet at our old place, 4 o’clock?

And just like that, you not only revisited your past memories, but were truly going to step in it. Ten years ago this was your normal routine and it was weird how getting ready for this still felt so natural after all this time. This time you put a bit more effort into your appearance. If you were going to see Drew for the first time after all these years, you had to look good.

So with your jacket wrapped tightly around you, you find yourself walking to the center of town. The bustle of familiar faces walking along the streets, colors of red and pink covering every storefront you can see. You register completely that you’re doing this on Valentine’s day. The anniversary of when you left him ten years ago. Right in front of the old diner stands Drew, bundled up and holding a single pink rose in his hand. He doesn’t see you approach right away which makes you smile just slightly.

“Hi” you hum out, all emotions leaving you but happiness. You never would’ve thought seeing him in person again would bring you this much peace. He jumps just lightly before his head swiftly turns to face you.

“Hi! There you are” he grins and you can’t help the small laugh that falls from your lips. Suddenly he’s holding the pink rose forward. “This is for you, since it’s Valentines after all”

“Are you asking me to be your Valentine?” you tease, fingers curling around the stem and lightly brushing his own. You can’t believe how long it’s been since you’ve felt his touch. Red covers the boys cheeks as you pull the flower close and take in its scent.

“No, well if you want. Yes, maybe. I don’t know anymore honestly” he flusters out and all you can do is giggle as you take a step closer to him.

“I’ll be your Valentine, considering I have been many times before” you tell him with a smile and he sighs in relief, comforted just as much by you, as you are of him.

“Let’s go inside, I don’t want you to freeze” he says, hand falling on your back and guiding you towards the door. You obey, heading straight for your old designated booth. Drew watches as you slide carefully into your side before he sits down himself.

“Look at you movie star” you grin at him after a moment, taking in his grown and handsome appearance. A fresh blush covers his cheeks as he lets out a soft chuckle.

“I’m no movie star, not quite yet” he says and you roll your eyes.

“Oh please, Drew I see your face everywhere I go. Edits of you pop up on my tik tok now. Who would’ve thought my high school sweetheart would be everyone’s celebrity crush by now” you say, knocking your foot with his and he laughs lightly.

“To be honest it shocks me. At the end of the day I still am the bad guy on my claim to fame show” he says and you just smile, taking all of him in.

“That buzzed hair, been so long since I’ve seen you with shaggy hair. It’s weird how different you look and yet you’re still completely the same” you don’t mean to be sappy but sitting here of all places with him will make you like that.

“Yeah, I kinda wanted to grow it out but with filming schedules I’ve had to keep it shaved down. Maybe after though” he says running a hand over his head and you just grin.

“I can’t wait” and the sentence isn’t meant to imply you’ll be spending time together in the future, yet Drew can’t help but think of that.

“Why’d you reach out today?” he cuts to the chase and the smile quickly falls from your lips. “And don’t give me some classic bullshit response. I want the truth”

And you consider your options before finally choosing to speak.

“Every Valentine’s day I go through our box of things. Mementos of our time together, because if I’m being honest, I’m not really over it. I know I left you but it wasn’t because I didn’t love you anymore. It’s because I didn’t want to hold you back” you saw no point in lying, he deserved the truth. Even after all these years.

“You never ever held me back” he says after he lets your words sink in and you sigh, hands coming up to tug at your hair.

“It doesn’t matter Drew. I know you, you would’ve chosen me over going to LA. Chasing your dream, becoming a superstar, I wasn’t apart of that” you tell him and Drew sighs, taking a moment to think of his next words.

“You were apart of that. You always were, because none of that mattered compared to you. You were always my greatest accomplishment” and the words from that letter ring through your mind.

“Do you still love me?” you finally ask, needing to know exactly what was going through his mind.

“I never stopped” he says and finally a small smile pulls at the corner of your lips.

“Do you think I could be apart of it now? So I stop accidentally liking your instagram posts?” you ask and a belly laugh falls from the boys lips across from you.

“If you’ll have me” he says, hands reaching across and cupping yours into his own.

“Always” you tell him with a grin and just like when you two were 16 and first started to come here, he lifts off his seat and leans across the table to meet you. Searching his eyes you meet him halfway and slowly press your lips against his own. Kissing him like this again for the first time in ten years feels like a fever dream but it was perfect. He was perfect and still tasted faintly of cherries and coffee. He was the only thing you ever truly wanted.

And you got him back.

Tracey received a call from his supervisor to come straight to his office shortly after arriving at work. He began to wonder what his supervisor wanted so early in the day. He hoped it wasn't bad news. He really didn't need to hear that. He was having a bit of bad luck situations recently. He had been behind in his portion of the rent on the apartment, having his roommate to make up the difference. If that wasn't bad enough, his car was in the shop, having major repair work done to it. He had been forced to use Uber services to get to work. He didn't need any more bad news at the moment.

Tracey entered James, his supervisor's office. He motioned to have a seat.

"I called you in before you got started for a reason. There is no easy way to say what i have to tell you. Unfortunately, there were some budget cuts, and your position was one the company decided to cut effective immediately." James paused. "I am sorry to bring such sad news to you, but it's out of my hands."

Tracey definitely didn't want to hear that at a time like now. There had to be another solution. Honestly, if there was one, he would take it no matter what it was. "I understand that, but please, is there any other position that is open or available. I really can't take any more sad news right now." He pleaded to James, hoping there was something he could offer.

James had one other offer, but those who were released or fired would not take it due to the dangers it carried in accepting it. He decided to offer it anyway. "There is one opening available, but it carries a risk." He pulled out the contract and slid it over to Tracey.

Tracey looked over the paper and read it twice. There was a large bonus of $100k once done, but there was a risk. "So I get the $100k, and the other gets $50k once the year is up, right?" He asked, to be sure he understood right. He saw James nod yes to his question.

"But remember the risk you take. If the owner decides to forgo the $50k, you belong to him. There is no return." James paused. "You literally are placing your life in another's hands. You fully understand?" James reiterated.

Tracey needed something good. "Can I choose who owns me?" He asked back.

"Ordinarily, you really don't have a choice, but I will make this one exception since you really were a good employee. Just write in the name of who you want it to be and sign it. We will do the rest." James promised. He would at least do this one favor for a guy who was having a bad day. Tracey handed the paper back with his signature on it. He ran it through his copier and filed the original. He handed the copy back to him. "Take this to HR." He instructed him as he placed a call down to HR about the position.

Several hours later, Seth came into James' office. He motioned for Seth to have a seat. He slid over the shoe box to him. He watched as Seth opened it and was puzzled why he was receiving a new pair of sneakers. "We have been wanting to try out an experimental product, but no one ever took the offer. That was until your coworker Tracey signed up to do it." He spoke as he also showed the contract that Tracey had signed. "These sneakers are Tracey now. He is still alive, just that he is a pair of sneakers. He chose you to wear him for a year. The point of the experiment is to test the durability of our indestructible formula. All you have to do is treat him like normal footwear for a year. If you wish to conclude the formula test for both of you, he gets $100k bonus tax free, and you get $50k bonus check tax free." He added to his previous words. He waited for Seth to reply back.

Seth took out the shoes and examined them. It was hard to believe the sneakers he was holding were actually his best friend at work. He wondered why Tracey would even agree to this. "Why did he choose to be my sneakers?" He asked, feeling curious. Like, who would really choose to be another person's footwear?

"The company had cut his position in budget cuts. To stay on with the company, this was his only option." James reported honestly.

"So I wear him for a year and return him back, and he gets $100k bonus check and I get $50k bonus check, all tax free?" Seth wanted to be sure he understood right.

"Yes, that is your first option." James spoke.

Seth heard first option which meant there was a second option. "What's my second option since I have a first?" He asked wondering what it could be.

"Your second option is that after one year, if you decide to continue with the experiment for us, you get $100k bonus check tax free, but poor Tracey will have to spend another whole year supporting your feet. Every year that you continue, you receive a $100k bonus check tax-free, but that also means you subject Tracey to being your shoes." James paused to be fully serious. "Option two means you are in control of his humanity or return to human form. He specifically selected you to wear him. So I sense that he has some sort of trust in you to decide how long he will be supporting your feet." He finished.

Seth, like the thought of receiving a $100k bonus check. Yet, this was his best friend at work who he was about to wear on his feet for a year. To receive that bonus check every year would be awesome, yet that meant keeping his best friend as his footwear. Could he really do that to Tracey, he pondered.

"We will revisit your option in one year. Until then, enjoy wearing Tracey." James spoke.

Seth put the sneakers back in the box and left the supervisor's office. When he got back to his desk, he opened the box and whispered to his sneakers. "I have to say, $100k every year sounds so nice. Sorry Tracey, but I have to take option two. I hope you understand, but I promise to take good care of you as you take good care of my feet for a long time." He took off his current shoes and put on Tracey.

Tracey thought he knew his best friend well enough. He thought that he would only be sneakers for a year. He thought that Seth would not be tempted by the amount of money. He saw he was wrong. He saw the pair of socks on Seth's feet weren't exactly clean and had a slightly strong vinegar odor. It was pressed hard into his insole face. This was his existence, to live as sneakers for Seth for at least a year or possibly longer.

FIVE YEARS LATER.......

Seth enjoyed a rather smooth life. For the past five years, the job gave him a $100k bonus check for continuing to test their indestructible formula. He has used Tracey for every gym and workout session. He has worn him to work every day. He even tried cutting him with scissors. He did anything and everything to try to destroy his sneakers, yet he remained relatively unscathed. Not only that, Tracey was the most comfortable footwear he owned. He didn't exactly know how Tracey felt about being sneakers every year, but the money was coming in handy. He even wore him on vacations that he took each year. His life was great, thanks to Tracey choosing him instead of someone else. There were weeks where he wore the same pair of socks every day to thank Tracey for the money he wad receiving each year. Life truly was great with having a pair of indestructible sneakers.

“Omg I can’t believe how boring his life is. I know he told me before that his life was nothing but I didn’t expect it to be this bad.” Finishing up the paper work from the most boring job ever I pushed my chair in. I wonder what he’s doing in Paris right now. Sure therapy wasn’t intentional but it happened somehow and now I knew I was in his American body. Right when I was about to walk out of the office I heard my email go off. I went back to check and it was yet again another down sizing. Me being good at this job of his wasn’t on the list hit it just meant his boring job was about to get more boring !!

I screamed looking at that computer. “I can’t take this shit anymore!” I slammed the door shut to the office and on the way home grabbed some beer. In the apartment that night I just stared at the glow of the tv. I was only on my first beer and I was already feeling sleepy. I didn’t want to be in this body anymore. This life was so boring !! It was so much more fun when we just talked about transfo….. I sat tight yo on the couch. Maybe this was a way to really live a transformation. Maybe this was the chance I had to really make a change. Pulling up his tumblr account i reread everything he posted. I didn’t realize how many different changes he had written about. But needless to say after couple hours I have decided on the changes I would make. Closed my computer I walked back to the living room and opened up another beer.

It was a couple months of my new ambitious beer drinking that I finally had a beer gut. He has written so many stories about having one that it was odd he didn’t actually have one. This was my first change I was going to make to him. And now here I am. Rubbing this big gut while I’m walking out of this office for the last time. It was now time for me to go onto the next phase of my plan. Destroying his education was right up his ally. He always talked about being dumb. And a dog. Well he needed a job that would fit that role.

I managed to get a job at a Construction site. The work was hard and labor intensive. I sweat all day and I smelled like crazy. But I kept drinking my beers and continuing on the path that I had set for him.

Making so much less made my next changes a little hard. One of the things he fantasized about clearly was tattoos and I wanted to make sure he had them. But the massive decrease in pay from the corporate world made it hard. I started asking some of my coworkers about the I tattoos and before I knew Indians out they was an artist and was offering to give me some at a discount

It was long before I was making daily visits to get as much ink as possible on his body. I was loving how fast his body was getting covered in tattoos. And the looks that people were giving. I was soon looking like a walking piece of graffitied skin. I began to do other things. Like adding gauges to hjs ears. One I had them completely obliterated to the point of now return I knew that his physical changes had to come to a close.

For the next part in his journey I decided to delve deeper into one of his stories tropes that he wrote about alot. Problem was that I wasn’t willing to do any of the work. I found myself on the dark web one night and with a couple thousand dollars and his social security number it wasn’t long before the stranger had logged into the federal system and began to add charge after charge to his record. Drugs, possession, firearms. He was making this man a low life thug criminal and now there was nothing he would be able to do about it. He would be able to find the chat rooms or anything to get this resolved. I even perfected his signature and sending a copy to the stranger online he used that to validate the claims of all the charges he was placing on this body. We even managed to invalidate his college degrees and even high school degree. Now he was a high school drop out who went down the path of being a hard criminal. It wasn’t long before his face was being seen all over tv. Armed and dangerous. I was now living the body of a wanted man just like in those stories he wrote. It was t long before the police came and aggressively arrested me. And I just smirked. Bring in prison was going to be the utmost change to his life that would be able to make. And from the sounds of it. With all the charges I had managed to get on his record, he was going to be here for several years. Especially after I admitted to everything for him.

✨ Xilonen Buffer Build ✨

🛹 Like I said in my previous pull recap, getting Xilonen wasn't in my original plan. I was waiting for Mavuika but there was no signs of her yet until next patch. The game got a little boring with no new character to build so I decided to use some of my Mavuika saving for Xilonen.

🛹 Turns out, I made one of the best decision, pulling for a buffer who doesn't just boost my character's damage, but she's also able to heal! Discussions started surfacing, comparing Xilonen with Kazuha, which one is better and is she worth to pull if you already have Kazuha? I will try to break down my thoughts and how to build Xilonen as a buffer in this post.

🛹 Disclaimer: This build is not perfect and by no means should be treated as a rigid rule. I just share what I have tested in game and what I know works for me. So always do your own research and take my guide with that note in mind!

Artifact Set

🛹 Being a character who hails from Natlan, Xilonen is able to activate Nightsoul Blessing as her own kit, which can easily help trigger the 4 pc effect of Scroll of the Hero of Cinder City artifact. Just make sure that you create elemental reaction with Xilonen to activate the passive. It's required to produce crystallize reaction with the element you want to buff for the passive to work.

Artifact stats: def% or energy recharge sands, def% goblet, def% or crit rate/crit damage or healing bonus circlet

Ratio to follow: 3.200 def if you use Peak Patrol weapon to maximize its buff, 150% energy recharge if you want her to burst every rotation

🛹 A lot of my followers asked me on Instagram if she needed high def number and tbh if we're talking about Xilonen's debuff, it doesn't scale off her def. It has its own multiplier which is why it's important to level up her skill. Def helps with her healing but not with the debuff. Unless you have her signature weapon, then it's required to have at least 3.200 def to maximize its buff.

Team Composition

Neuvillette hypercarry

🛹 Wherever Kazuha can exist in a team, then Xilonen can too. They pretty much work the same, the only difference is in the way they give benefit to the team and the fact that Kazuha can do crowd control. While Kazuha gives buff to us, Xilonen gives debuff to enemies instead. Tho since geo can't react with dendro and anemo, you probably won't find her place in those teams.

Talents Priority

🛹 Her skill takes priority as the resistance shred comes from her skill. The higher the skill level, the bigger resistance shred she can give. Her burst deals damage but you level it up mostly for her heal.

Weapon Choices

5* choices: Peak Patrol Song, Freedom Sworn

4* choices: Flute of Ezpitzal (Natlan craftable weapon), Favonius Sword, Cinnabar Spindle (event exclusive)

🛹 Xilonen is such an f2p friendly unit as she can use common 4* weapons such as Favonius, and even craftable ones from Natlan. You can give her def% or energy recharge weapons and she will still perform just fine.

🛹 Now comes the million dollar question: Should you pull for Xilonen if you already have Kazuha? My answer would be yes, cuz it's like having 2 Kazuha, and since we need 2 teams for spiral abyss so having 2 characters who can help buff both team will be our advantage. You can skip Xilonen if you still lack on field dps in your account. But other than that, there's no reason for you to skip her. You can even combine both Xilonen and Kazuha in the same team if you want a premium hyper carry team.

Context- I had been commissioned for this piece. Being in a financial pickle I picked it up and immediately set to work on it. Since I’m in need of money I put my all into the request to make sure it checked every box they could need. It turned out amazing I think! However I just checked our chat where I put the almost finished piece to find their account deleted. I was messaged by the user Freaky (later changed to Dust) for the commission of their two Characters Brimstone and Karma. Ecstatic we began consultation!!

They decided on a photo reference from the anime “Soul Eater”. They liked the old anime style and requested their piece would be similar. That meant a full body with simple background but a lot of technique put into the old anime style! Ofc I wouldn’t shy away from the challenge (since my bills won’t shy away from me- the apple did not work on the doctor….no matter how hard I threw it)

Upon requesting their budget they said between 130-200$ which worked fine with me. I always tend to under charge anyhow. Due to my needs this time was no different. I assured they would receive updates to let them know how the piece was going and that I would collect their input on any fixes needed. They agreed and without further wait I began.

Once saving the many provided refs I began by creating character reference sheets. Due to the customer not being artistic they provided me with several other commissioned pieces of their characters. Not all…looked the same… so I created these sheets to compile the parts that fit the personalities portrayed. Then I checked in with the user to figure out which features looked most like what they imagined for the characters.

Then I continued with the base sketch of the pose. The original reference for the pose didn’t entirely fit the characters so I chose to tweak it. I think I like the way they interact on the piece. I even made them doing rock paper scissors if you pay close enough attention! Karma lost but well…Brimstone would get what was coming for it later lol.

After all that it was finally digital art time!!! So I put my color references sent to me before adding the anime ref and my character refs. On the iPad I started with adding the details of the characters and sketching the pieces in further.

When that looked good I shifted the background a little to see it all before doing the motorcycle. (This is the first one I’ve ever drawn too- I know it’s funky! Don’t look too close)

Once the sketch was confirmed I began lineart. The title was changed to say Brimstone in big and in Japanese it reads “Freak Karma” the user of the customer and their second character.

Following that was color blocking which absolutely murdered me! I simply started with a big blob and did Alpha lock. Then I continued to block out base colors. Probably the worst experience of my life…goodness..

After I did a big dark brown layer with the opacity lowered for the look of a darker environment. From there I lightly erased the spots for lighting.

Then it was additional coloring and shading to the color block layer followed by additional erasing on the shadow layer. Building it up until I was satisfied.

Finally I did two layers- a layer for specific color lighting such as the flames reflection and the color to their skulls and a layer for the black and white liner.

All that was left was adding noise, Bloom, and a little bit of halftones to achieve the desired look.

With everything done I added my signature into the mirror on the bike!

ALL THIS ON ONLY 4 LAYERS! Due to the sheer size of the canvas (6000 pixels by 5000 pixels (ish)) I was only able to have 4 MAX layers. So pain…

Sooo It's Been a Few Months 😅…

It's been a while since I last checked in on here! I finally have time to talk about what it's been like getting to know J. Hope and Jin since their release, and I have strong thoughts on jikook (which I'll save for the end). First, getting to know Jin and J. Hope through their work, weverse lives, and the content they've released so far has been so interesting. It's wild that I'm finally getting to watch their weverse lives in real-time, after only getting to know them through older content (for context I only became a fan of BTS after they were enlisted). In some ways, they are exactly how I thought they would be, and in some ways different than what I expected. The way they've both thrown themselves into their work immediately after discharge blew my mind. I just admire them both so much. Jin's album was amazing and perfectly showcased his vocals, Hobi's new song is coming this Friday and the soldout tour is about to be soooo incredible!!! I am so happy for all the fans who get to continue to support them and show up for them.

As for Jimin and Jungkook, I cannot believe all of the discourse that is surrounding their iHeart Music Award nomination for Are You Sure?!. If it was any other duo nominated for the content they excitedly put out, I feel like everyone would be much more positive and enthusiastic when it comes to voting and encouraging others to vote. Not to mention A LOT of fans just seem to be flat-out ignoring the nominations. These past few months I've also noticed the effort that so many in the fanbase seem to be putting into separating/cropping their signatures of things they've signed together, trying to debunk stories of the things they've been signing, or if both those things don't work they just ignore it. Hell Jungkook recently went live (which I seriously could not believe, I missed him sooooooooooo much) and he talked about how he and Jimin sing in the shower together or Jimin's post on weverse where he talked about the conversations he and JK had before going to bed and what kind of lives they plan to live in the future and fans got mad they dared to mention each other.

Seeing the differences in reactions when it comes to jikook shouldn't surprise me anymore and yet seeing all the continued pushback to anything jikook makes me disappointed. Even the BT21 account felt like they needed to issue an apology because the Chimmy and Cooky dolls were switched and put in each other's boxes and they received sooo much hate for it. I have no idea what it was like years ago when BTS were active together as a band and Jimin and JK would post things together, but is this what it's going to be like every time they mention each other or are seen together post military service? Threaten any official account that dares to mention jikook in the same sentence, or spam them with hate? Is this what it will be like moving forward?

Anyway, I could go on, but I won't. In the meantime, I will continue to support Jin and Hobi, and continue to vote for Jimin for Best Lyrics for Who and Jimin and Jungkook for Favorite Onscreen for Are You Sure?!, one of my favorite comfort shows ever!! 💖

This was my gift at the HoggyWartyXmas fest, and I loved every word of it.

How could I not? With a sweet (but not OOC-sweet) Alastor/Minerva, an opera, and lots of humor.

I love the deep POV, with each character unsure and observing the other, trying to suss out what's going on in their heads.

The characterizations remind me of why I love fic in general, and fic about these two in particular: A cagey, canny Alastor, whose gruff exterior protects a man who is sensitive and kind at heart. And practical, cerebral Minerva, who also has a softer side that she hides from everyone but her closest friends.

The warmth and humor of Minerva’s friendships with her colleagues is one of this fic’s great pleasures.

Only Murders in the Building, Ep. 4x07 – Valley of the Dolls (Spoilers)

There is not a thing on this planet that would convince me to stay in that house. 

I’m going to say this, most of this episode is filler and, in my personal opinion, this is one of the weakest episodes ever created for this show.  Most of the episode, I really did not like.  So, really quick post this time.

The Trio goes to stay at Charles’ sister’s house.  And, uh, everybody ends up there with them (well, The Producer, The Actors, and Loretta, who’s trying to figure out why Oliver broke up with her by text).  Loretta finds out about Oliver’s fake account and, uh, they’re engaged now.  I…really don’t know how to feel about this. There's being eccentric and there's needing to set boundaries. And, uh, I wish boundaries had been set in this episode, with the proposal later.

The actors are given a crack at the case and turn the three murder boards into a murder wall.  As a lot of people have figured out by this point; this does tie back to season one.  The murder is the one who wrote the notes and poisoned Winney.  Also, the notes are written by a left handed person (that explanation…I’m just going to nod my head and move on).

Meanwhile, Howard has gone to the Bodega and has taken a look at the ledgers to see who’s cashing the Social Security check.  He realizes that, while there’s only one phone number, the signature isn’t always the same.  In fact, it looks like there’s five different people signing for the check.  He is able to look at the security footage and it’s the people from the West Tower.  He calls the number, which makes the five from the Tower realize that they’ve been caught.

So, there should be about three episodes left; which means it isn’t going to be as simple as these five people killed Dudenoff.  That doesn’t mean that none of them can't be the murder; but it will either be some or none.

In my post for Ep. 4x06, I wrote that believed that the killers (there has to be two) killed Dudenoff before Kono was killed.  That they were threatening The Trio during season one because they were afraid their investigation would lead to Dudenoff’s body.  They hoped that threatening The Trio would get them to stop investigating, so that they wouldn’t have to kill The Trio to prevent the secret of Dudenoff coming out.  That they stopped threatening The Trio because they felt that the body wouldn’t be discovered.  And then Sazz, who I have a feeling they know because everyone seems to be tied to the entertainment business, started snooping around.  Sazz got too close to the truth and they killed Sazz.  They hoped they had covered up her disappearance and, when The Trio started investing Sazz's death, they started threatening them again; trying to get them to back off.  In other words, nothing about this (at least, for the murders) is personal. There's no vendetta against the Trio or Sazz. But the murders are going to make sure they aren't caught. Sazz got to close, so they got rid of her. If The Trio continues to investigate, they'll get rid of them too.

Nothing in this episode really changes my theory; although I may have to fine tune it once they confront the five in the West Tower.  What will be interesting to see is if any of the five are left-handed.  Also, the fact that they were cashing the checks…is it because they knew he was dead (or, at least, suspected it) or is it another red herring?

I'm sorry if you've been asked this before but what are your thoughts about Arcane potentially being canon? I do not like it.

And if you don't mind answering another question, how do you feel about the way people sort of interpret Jayce and Viktor?

I don't think it's a good idea and it strips away many of the interesting things about these characters and the *universe's story as a whole* to exclusively represent the simplified, time-limited version of events that could fit the runtime of a TV show.

I've been asked this before and I always say this: Arcane is the MCU version of league lore; with the same strengths (improved visuals, the fast pacing of a cinematographic adaptation) and same biggest weaknesses (flimsy story summarizations that sacrifice a lot of the compelling narrative and kill entire characters)

I've been a comic fan for nearly as long as the MCU has been viral and I can tell you every attempt to retcon MCU events into the estabilished comic universe has not worked. It has the opposite effect of interrupting character arcs and stories people actually like and undoing pre-estabilished facts about the magic of the universe, driving away fans of the original medium while failing to attract the new movie/tv-show audience to check out the original, because those are completely different demographics.

It's even worse with Arcane, as we already KNOW one big joke in the fanbase is "even if you like the show, dont play the game. It's stupid bigoted redditor shit and it sucks" - there's an entire genre of arcane fan accounts who are militant about not playing the game and encourage others to never play the game. I don't think league's execs understand this, though, which is why we are seeing this current trend of a DRASTIC pullback in any and all lore-related content for league coming from higher-ups, and some of the old estabilished writers leaving the company while CEOs promise they're trying to find "an unified version of the narrative experience."

To stay on topic here and also answer your second question; ive rambled at length about jayce viktor interpretations in my meta tag. I reccomend you to look there! You'll notice i havent gone into specifics about what in arcane's narrative is weaker since its included on those.

I'd like to finish this post in another way though. In the long run, I don't think it matters that execs are trying to force narrative retcons despite the internal and external negative response to it. Fans will always like the specific thing they like, and in this scenario, start to define what versions of the universe/character they're talking about by release year or authorship, which is already happening in league. This is why the vikjayce codex exists and will not change, and this is why you see people using "2011/2016 lore" and "jayce giopara", etc.

Remember all these MCU retcons I mentioned? Whenever a movie is past its expiration date and the story element they tried to fit into original canon is considered a fad, it's just rewritten back to what it used to be. The newest marvel news this month is that CEOs decided to kill kamala khan ahead of her upcoming movie, as the MCU couldn't fit her signature elastigirl powers and they want to swap those out for the dumb purple magic the movies gave her instead. This will not last, as these never do. In 4 years she'll be back to normal, and in the meantime, elastigirl kamala will continue to exist in all her source books and videogames. The same way league's original bios are preserved and spin-off game content like the LOR comics or Convergence will continue to exist; I can't change any shortsighted decision from the CEOs, but fans as a whole have systems to define different universes and pick the version they like best.

Arcane has been called an AU by people who've worked in LoL's narrative, and is just the newest shiny thing. It is not "canon", as it never fit any part of the current game universe, and any future attempt to "make it canon" is just another permutation of an AU. I would encourage anyone who's nervous or anxious about retcons to not give a shit and disregard it altogether. If it doesn't work, you can always change it back.

Hello Rotomblr! I’m Professor Reina Maple, and this blog is a joint account between myself and my wife, Professor Mari Cedar. It will mostly be me posting on here, however, as Mari doesn’t particularly care for social media. We’re based in Nacrene City of the Unova region, and have a lab just outside of the city, in the outskirts of Pinwheel Forest. Feel free to ask us any questions you may have!

I’ll do personal introductions here, and then talk about our teams below the cut!

As mentioned above, my name is Reina Kondo Maple, and I am an immigrant to Unova from Johto. I grew up in Azalea Town, where my family lived for… quite a few generations. I have a sister who lives there still. My research focuses on the ways that pokemon adapt to different climates, status conditions, and other external factors. My Trainer Card is attached below. Also, Vivi told me about ‘signatures’ that people often do with emojis, so I will use “🍁” to signify that it is me speaking and not Mari.

Uhhh Reina says I’ve gotta introduce myself? For the rotumble or whatever she’s doing? So I’m Mari Cedar, and I’m Unovan, born ‘n raised. I grew up in Nacrene City and took a liking to the native pokemon, so I’ve been researching pokemon migration patterns and how they can affect local wildlife. I also much prefer learning about pokemon in a hands-on way out in the field, so I let Reina do most of the lab work. I also study pokemon behavior fairly extensively, and my pet project is a rewrite of the pokedex given to kids when they start their journey. I hope to travel and work on this more extensively in the future. Also, according to Vivi, my passion about inaccurate pokedex entries has done numbers on here? 🍁’s Pokemon:

My starter is a Slowking named Daryl. I caught him in the Slowpoke Well when I was 10, and he’s been my closest companion ever since. He is very intelligent and checks behind me in the lab to make sure that I don’t mess anything up. He understands spoken Johtoan and Unovan, and can communicate telepathically in Johtoan. I’m currently teaching him how to write so that he can help check my numbers and records as well. He gives surprisingly good life advice.

One of the first pokemon that I caught back when I was on my journey was Jenna the Bellossom. She’s very sweet and laid-back. She spends most of her time relaxing in the garden and coming up with new dance routines. When we need her to help with lab work, though, she’s able to put wild pokemon to sleep so that we can transport them or get away from them with minimal harm.

The last of my original teammates is Edward the Espeon. I received him from the kind daycare couple when he was an Eevee. Apparently some trainer had left him there and never picked him back up. Despite that, he’s a very kind and affectionate pokemon. He used to be trouble, but he’s settled down some with age. He isn’t trained or registered as a service pokemon, but he helps quite a bit with my anxiety problems. He is also bonded with Mari’s Cincinno, and they’re an adorable couple.

My last pokemon that I have presently is Nokoribi the Ninetales. She has been in the Kondo family for the past 357 years, and was given to me when my mother passed away. Despite the reputation that Ninetales have of being majestic and wise, Nokoribi is much more like a young Growlithe. One of her favorite activities is trying to eat plastic. She does have her majestic moments from time to time though.

🌊’s Pokemon:

My starter’s a Seismitoad named Foggy. I caught him right outside of town when he was a Tympole. He’s a more stoic sort of ‘mon, but it’s just because he shows his affection differently. He ‘works’ as a security guard around the lab, making sure wild pokemon don’t set up shop too close by.

Pretty soon after I caught Foggy, I met Missy the Cincinno. She’s a real stickler for cleanliness and has always made sure I keep myself straight (heh). Now, she’s in charge of storage and tidiness in the lab spaces, and she couldn’t be happier with that job. She can be sorta overbearing when you do something ‘wrong,’ but it comes from a good place. She’s bonded with Reina’s Espeon, Edward, and they’re one of the cutest couples you’ll ever see. They balance each other out.

Back between my seventh and eighth gym badge, my father got me Seashell the Floatzel while he was on some business trip in Sinnoh. I’m not the biggest fan of her origins (and don’t ask me about them), but she’s an important part of my team. She’s a very laid-back sort of pokemon, but when she has a job to do, she takes it very seriously. She used to do scout work for me and Helena, but now she just makes sure that the populations we’re studying aren’t going to become hostile. From what I hear, the Pinwheel Rangers are big fans of hers, and she works with them when she gets bored.

More recently, I took Evergreen the Haxorus (Fraxure back then) off the hands of a shelter that couldn’t take care of her. She broke one of her tusks as a Fraxure, which caused a lot of behavioral issues and hostility. But, after a few years of TLC, she’s nearly as relaxed as Seashell. She helps with ‘security’ alongside Foggy, or whenever he’s off doing something else. She also made a surprisingly good babysitter when Vivi was younger.

Week 7

Day 2

- I don't have a day 1 since it is the schedule of our pictorial so I'm absent. This day when i came in the office after how many minutes ma'am carla gave me 30pcs of new receipt, they give me instructions to stamp each one, in one receipt they have 100 pieces, each of one i need to stamp before the DO and teller get it, i make it in half day and the other receipt that i did not finished i gave it to my co-interns, after lunch, sir Gilbert call me to input their collection in the system, and i count the money that they are collected and i write it in the collection sheet. After that i make a cash flow with 4 members, these members apply for a loan so they need a cash flow before they approve. They need to know the capacity of the member if they can repay their loan to the cooperative, It is very important the capacity of the member to pay before they are approved. After i input the collection of sir Gilbert ma'am julie call me to check the application form if the important details are completed and the application of the member and the disclosure document and insurance i put it in one member.

Day 3

- Yesterday sir Russel scheduled that i am the one who joined the field to observed what the DO's doing everytime they are out in the office to field. But before that i make a cash flow for the member of sir gilbert who applied for a loan. I compute for their monthly income and their expenses to see if they have the capacity to pay their loan approve or if they are qualified for the loan amount that they are applied. After i finish the cash flow i get the flyers because one of the task of the DO is to market and give flyers so since i am the ojt so my task is to market, i am the one who talk to the people that I've market. I explain the product and services that the SAFADECO have and they offer to those who want to become a member of the Cooperative. I have 10 flyers and i give that in 10 person, so one of my task is to finish that in 10 person but the challenges that i face there's a person who are not accept the flyers based on them that they are not interested but it is okay, sir russel said that it is natural since not all people same attitude. But in whole day i finished my task all the flyers i give it to the 10 person. So while we ride we do Credit Investigation (CI) in different bank since sir Russel have a mmber who apply the loan but they have existing loan so they need to conduct the CI if it is cleared or not, we conduct CI in 5 banks. Also while we market and consuct CI, we also collect the payment of the member of sir Russel, in this task i am the one who make a receipt for the member who payed but some of the members are not payed since they are not here in there house. After that, we go back to office to input the collection and remitted the money to the teller. So i am the one who input it in the system since i am the assistant of sir Russel for today. I input it in the system who payed and after that i write it in the collection sheet and count the money to put it in the cash breakdown. So after how many minutes sir gilbert since this is the last day in his work they arrange their drawer and they ask for help to file the paper of the member in here drawer. After that I volunteered to ma'am ivy to make her report to check the principal balance of 400+ members, some of the members are closed accounts and they have no existing loan, but i did not finish it today, I will continue that tomorrow.

- So today i will continue the report of ma'am ivy since I stopped it yesterday at 300+ so today i will finish it. After that i continue filling those papers of the members of sir gilbert . After that I helped Kathleen to check the signature of the loan appliction because this is the finding of branch manager some of the loan application has no signatures. After lunch ma'am ivy give a task to make her another report, but this time i need to compute their regular savibgs since some of the member don't have enough balnce that they are need to put their saving. Ma'am ivy teach me to compute, i need to get the principal balance and multiply it by the percentage, the pension loan, atm and easy loan 2% also but the other loan product like productive loan that is 10% after that add the 100 the total that is the savings of the member that is need to payback to the SAFDECO, i think some of member borrow their savings, i forgot to ask the reason for that. After that i help the BU student to make a certificate of the member who attend PMES. And after we finished, I volunteered to Kathleen to find the DO's of every member, to give the list to the DO and this is the report of the DO that is needed to submit to ma'am chloe by monday. I did not finish it today so we will continue this tomorrow.

Day 5

- Today i will continue the report of the DO's but in 2 hrs only since this task is given by kathleen, i try to make that. After that i print also the document that are needed of ma'am julie for application form and i continue to print the certificate for the member who have not already get their certification when they're member. After that, ma'am ivy called me, since from january to February 2025 report of ma'am ivy is done they give me the December 2024 report to make this. After that ma'am carla give me some document that are needed to give to the member, so i need to sort this by DO's since the DO's are the one who deliver this document to their member. After that, when I'm in the field with sir russel, we make some interviews per barangay to know the total voters in every brangay, and the percentage how much the voters in manila and how much the student that can vote at in legal age. So today sir ryan gave a task to make a report in excel, this is submitted by monday to our branch manager which is ma'am chloe since ma'am chloe is not around for 1 week. And ma'am ivy asked for help to compile the Collection sheet per DO's because this is needed by the Loan officer which is sir ryan to make the monthly report of their DO's.

Day 6

- Today me and kathleen will continue the task that was given to us by ma'am belle, we need to separate every member by their DO's, i make this a half day. And after that, i call the 4 members who are scheduled today for the loan releases, i need to inform them of the time that they are in the office because they need to attend the loan orientation to remind them of their obligation as a member and a borrower and also their classification in membership. And after that i cut the certificate that i need to file this by their folder. And before we out sir ryan call us to compute the principal and interest that the DO's collection, sir ryan make their monthly report to evaluate the performance of their DO's since every DO's have a target by the end of the month.

Coinbase Has The Worst Support and Does Not Care About You As A Customer

I've been wrestling with Coinbase support for over five months now, trying to access my account so I can receive a distribution from the Celsius bankruptcy. When it was announced that Coinbase would be managing these distributions, I logged in to confirm that all my details were up to date. For context, I've only used Coinbase occasionally to swap between USDC and other cryptocurrencies—just a handful of transactions over the years.

As I checked everything, I noticed my address on file was outdated from before I’d moved to South Africa. Trying to update it immediately triggered a restriction on my account, and since then, I’ve watched others in the same situation receive their distributions while I’m still battling Coinbase’s endless requests for verification. Each time I send documents, they come back with more requests—often the same ones they’ve already asked for. My case seems to bounce between agents, with each email having noticeably different grammar and tone, and the responses are slow, taking up to a month.

No matter how often I ask for direct updates, I receive the same templated response: "Thank you for your patience," "We understand your frustration," and "We’ll get back to you as soon as possible." Despite providing all requested information within 24 hours, I get nothing but repeated demands for further verification.

Here’s a rundown of what I’ve provided so far:

Tax documents (submitted February 16, 2024)

This doesn’t even cover the redundant questions they keep asking, many of which I’ve already answered. I have five separate email threads, each containing a mess of requests for the same information. They’ve even asked for my parents’ names and signatures on a document to prove I receive an allowance. The process has been drawn out for months, and each response just demands more paperwork. And yes, reaching Coinbase support often means messaging through Instagram or Twitter DMs—an oddly unprofessional touch.

Celsius has now tried to credit my account five times, and each time, they’ve had to inform me that Coinbase won’t process it. If you ever think about moving internationally or changing your address with Coinbase, let this be a warning. They could have asked for all this in a single email, but each request feels like a new hoop to jump through. If I told them I used crypto to buy a t-shirt, they’d probably want receipts, a selfie of me in the shirt, and a note explaining my color choice.
