the organ was a sacred tool, kei thinks.
the keyboard was simply a distant cousin, kei knows.
fingers, translucent and neon, tap against plastic keys - they are lighter than what he is used to. the hustle and bustle of the music store is something most unfamiliar, akin to that of the train stations he had since forgotten come his days in a desolate wasteland.
truth be told, the company of demons was a welcome one. amidst the sand, snow and oddities that da'at presented to him, it was most unfortunate to stick out like a sore thumb here. blue hair, yellow eyes, a not exactly human appearance . . . he figures he looks more similar to the robot singer he sees across billboards. the one with the lightning blue hair. right.
and yet, there is an inkling of hope born within fiyero. someone traditionally nonhuman, someone with eyes somewhat similar to his. perhaps they had similar experiences. hopefully they did.
affront to god or not, some of demonkind had been kind to kei. some of his closest companions themselves had accepted him with open arms. it is only natural he would seek those of similar walks of life to him.
fingers dance on keys, waiting expectantly for his gaze. eventually, kei resorts to simply playing it not well. loudly. he makes no means to hide unwavering stare.
demons he knew had a certain aura to them. fiyero lacked it. there is no sense of angelkind upon her, nor the touch of an artificial god.
"do you play ?" kei eventually calls out. "piano, i mean."
"you look musical. i would like to speak to you more," . . . can someone look musical ? "privately, please. i don't like talking over crowds."

Okay. Fellas. Real talk. I've seen some of you do it and I thank you profusely for doing so but can yall PLEASE credit the original artist of that piece yall kinda made into an a dtiys/art meme? That's not official art. I am point blank refusing to engage with any of these pieces that I see not doing such. (Even when it pains me to keep scrolling, because some of them are really good!! And I want them here!!! But I do have some rules for myself I try to stand firm by with this blog.)
Like you can literally see them say right there that it's fine IF YOU CREDIT. I'm fucking begging you.
I'm not mad at anyone who didn't know but I've seen SO MANY versions at this point, and I think I've seen maybe 3 or 4 of them RECENTLY include the credit. (And one with improper credit, I think?) Please. Please just. Tack it on.

a lot of people found it really helpful the last time i provided some context for LU Legend’s games (this post!!), so i’m gonna do that again!! this time specifically about A Link Between Worlds. if you have any questions, please feel free to send an ask, and i will answer to the best of my ability! please keep in mind that i am only speaking on the english translation <3
also, i will only refer to this game’s Link as Link instead of Legend. while i’m writing this primarily to help the Linked Universe fandom, these details are only from the canonical game and can be applied to any interpretation of this game’s Link. it is not exclusive to Linked Universe whatsoever!!!!!
anyhow, in this game, Link has a family: the blacksmiths. while never overtly stated, it is so heavily implied that assuming the author’s intent is a relatively safe course of action.
for those unaware, the Blacksmith family includes three people: the unnamed blacksmith, his unnamed wife, and their little boy Gulley. also, prior to the start of A Link Between Worlds, Link worked as an apprentice at the forge!!
the Blacksmith is pretty tough on Link throughout the beginning of the game, berating him for oversleeping and not working hard enough to become a proper Blacksmith. this seems relatively mean at first, but then it becomes clear that he really just wants the best for Link. he’s a very successful man who wants Link to be just as prosperous. later on, there’s a really nice moment between the two after Link rescues Gulley (who was kidnapped by the game’s main villain, Yuga) where the Blacksmith says “I’m real proud of how you’re shaping up here, Link.” it’s a brief, heartwarming exchange between the two, and it really highlights their relationship dynamic.
his wife, on the other hand, is much more overtly caring towards our hero. in the description of Link’s green tunic, it’s said that the wife is the one who sewed it for him. more than that, she’s also the one who made the adventure pouches for Link’s belt, telling him “I made it for you so you could carry more items…. But please—you should use that pouch so I won’t have to worry about YOU quite as much!” once he receives them. she’s a very kind and caring figure in his life, who often takes time out of her day just to help Link out and make sure he’s okay.
Gulley is arguably the closest to Link out of all of them. For starters, A Link Between Worlds opens with Gulley waking Link up from a prophetic dream and mentioning that Link oversleeps too much, meaning that (a) Gulley has the key to Link’s home, and (b) this happens often. Gulley was also said to have insisted on being the one to give Link the adventure pouches his mom made! the entire reason Link originally goes on his hero’s journey is to save the boy after he was kidnapped, and when Link passes out and ends up in the middle of the road in Lorule, he’s said to have been mumbling Gulley’s name over and over again (furthermore, it was the blacksmith family’s Lorulian counterparts that had found and saved Link when he passed out.)
i don’t think Link is genetically related to the blacksmiths, even though they do share similar hair and eye colors. if that were the case, they’d simply be labeled as Mom as Dad. my interpretation of it is that Link is unofficially adopted :)
tl;dr: the Link in A Link Between Worlds isn’t alone. he has a family that loves and cares for him deeply. and this post doesn’t even include the countless close friends he made in ALBW alone. please guys acknowledge them im begging you
as always, i’m not saying that you have to take this post as gospel or even be influenced by it at all. i just want to open up new avenues to explore these characters through for people without access to the games <3

I feel like if Dipper were ever reincarnated as a demon, he wouldn't fit in super well with the others. Yes, he's been raised to vie for power and step on everyone in his way using whatever means is necessary - it's the same toxic bizz as when he was a human, appealing to gender norms. He's tougher, scarier, more powerful (than ordinary humans, that is), but when it comes to asserting control - being Evil - he doesn't have it in him. Given enough time, I think he'd grow pretty vocal about leaving living things alone. NOT torturing organisms for the hell of it, or stealing people's souls, or conquering planets. Sure, he's a demon. That's no excuse to be a MONSTER.
It's a VERY unpopular opinion amongst neighboring demons, and rumor spreads fast about the Goody Two-Shoed Activist imp raining on everyone's blood-splattered parade, so much so that it makes it to Bill, who's immediately intrigued. Call it intuition, but only one soul's capable of overriding goddamn demon nature for some preachy bullshit about "Doing Good." Lucky for him, demons occupy the same plane of existence, so all it really takes to verify the guy is a snap of his fingers, and POOF! He's floating right next to him. Sure enough, Dipper's fashioned himself a new and improved demonic form, and it is lovely!
No one likes Dipper's kumbaya "Can't We All Just Get Along" ideology, but Bill's almost instantly smitten with the guy, whoever he is, so he's gotta be at least somewhat powerful. Demons take notice when the all-powerful Bill Cipher starts lending his time (and magic?) to some low-leveler like Dipper. Is he being blackmailed? Are they working together? No. Not possible. Bill doesn't "work" with anyone, save for whatever human catches his eye every few decades. Doesn't look to be doing him any benefit, either. The opposite, even. Lending power to a saint like Dipper only makes it harder to cause chaos, after all. Why would he actively go against his OWN best interest to cater some imp's? It's almost like he's. He's.
A henchmen.
(Bill's also 30% more affectionate the first month they reunite, because he still can't believe that his adorable little human husband came back as the same SPECIES as him! He'd never complain over having a sweet human to squeeze, but one with teeth and claws and cute pointy ears doesn't hurt).

Absolutely adoring how the chain seems to have assigned big brother little brother pairings for all of the minors:
Legend who is making sure Hyrule doesn’t overuse his magic and exhaust himself
Warriors who is constantly scruffing Wind to make sure he doesn’t do something stupid
And Twilight who is trying to stop Wild from yeeting himself off the nearest cliff and failing miserably
Peak sibling behavior

Holos #4
Ao3 version
Jedi Council Groupchat :
Mace : [sent an image]
[Image description : A holo of Commander Ponds from behind, the angle and slight blur indicate that it has been taken quickly and discreetly. The Commander is carefully crouching behind a mossy log, in a thick forest. He is holding up his comm to take a holo of a space duck and its row of playful ducklings swimming in the river, beyond the log.]
Mace : don’t worry if your commander is a bit distracted later, @Ki-Adi
Depa : oh, the light looks wonderful ! Ponds must have taken a beautiful picture :D
Mace : he is getting quite talented isn't he ?
Ki-Adi : I was going to send you the same message.
Ki-Adi : [sent an image]
[Image description : from a similar angle as the precedent image, Commander Bacara is face to face with a frilled-neck lizard of impressive size. The animal seems to be showing off its beautiful collar to the Commander who’s dutifully taking a holo of it.]
Kit : the spots on that lizard’s scales are a shade quite reminiscent of Lighting’s paint, isn't it ?
Depa : oh yes. Ponds started that tradition from what he told me :)
Ki-Adi : Commander Ponds’ message had been well received.
Ki-Adi : [sent an image]
[Image description : Bacara is looking down at his comm. He doesn't seem aware of his surroundings in the slightest. A small, private smile is softening his face.]
Shaak : aww oh cute ! He looks very handsome like that.
Ki-Adi : I have managed to get a glimpse of Ponds’ holo, @Mace @Depa. It’s a beautiful display of talent, indeed. Do send my admiration to your Commander.
Baby-Wan : I wasn't aware that Commanders Ponds and Bacara were particularly close. They weren't squadmates from what I've heard. Are they exchanging holos often ?
Mace : [sent an image]
[Image description : Ponds can be seen standing in a clearing. He is smiling brightly at his own comm and seems to be bouncing lightly on the balls of his feet. Around him, a few troopers are doing they’re best to look away as innocently as possible. Some can still be caught taking discret pictures of their Commander.]
Mace : @Ki-Adi message well received here too :)
Stass : @Baby-Wan you should know by now that Bacara is part of the very tight circle of Vode of whom not much can be learned in the Rumor Mill.
Stass : @Ki-Adi @Mace, Neyo is thanking you both for the blackmail material.
Ki-Adi : of course.
Mace : our pleasure.
Depa : @Baby-Wan is our renown Negotiator not on top of the latest gossip ?? *gasp*
Depa : Pondsy and Commander Bacara have been courting each other for close to a year now :D
Depa : they’re being very cute about it too <3
Plo : it is good to see them both so happy.
Yoda : nature admirers, are they both mmh ?
Ki-Adi : Bacara is a very competent bird-watcher. I have understood that Ponds is fascinated by reptiles and amphibians but generally likes to exercise himself at wildlife photography.
Stass : Neyo told me that Ponds started his courting by sending a holo of a gecko to Bacara. It had become their thing since then :D
Stass : @All both Commanders are missing their shared breakfasts in the Temple by the way. We need to give a well-earned leave to the marines stat.
Ki-Adi : it would be greatly appreciated indeed. I haven't seen Commander Bacara this happy and relaxed in well past a month.
Ki-Adi : [send an image]
[Image description : Bacara is still looking at his comm but the focus of the holo has changed slightly. It shows a little group of marines smiling brightly among themselves, their posture relaxed. The direction of their warm gaze makes the source of their pleasure evident.]
Ki-Adi : it’s one of their favorite topics of conversation.
Shaak : aawww
Plo : I agree with Shaak, they're very adorable.
Baby-Wan : and me who thought that the marines weren't much for gossiping…
Yoda : rusty, your informers are, my grand-padawan. Not careful with knowledge, you are. Better, I thought of you.
Kit : master you shouldn't burn Obi like that when you know he won't go to the medbay.
Baby-Wan : understood. Please excuse me, dear masters. I have some matters to take care of.
Baby-Wan : @Mace @Ki-Adi rest assured that I will be utterly careful to not share Commanders Ponds and Bacara’s courting to anyone before they had the time to do it themselves.
Stass : oh, so Commander Cody really does not know about it ? Neyo had his suspicions that the rest of their batchers hadn't caught up but I still believed it was too big to be true…
Plo : should we now proceed in the next leaves planification ?
Plo : and do you have holos of the Commanders together ?
Shaak : I concur with Plo.
Mace : absolutely.
Mace : every master needed for this is already present, we should start now.
Depa : I have an amazing picture of them in the Hall of a Thousand Fountains, hold on !

It's both funny and increasingly annoying to me when Hatchetfield fans associate Bill with Blinky, the way Paul is associated with Pokey and Ted with Tinky, but leave out Alice. She was there in Watcher World too! Her eyes were also purple! She was also controlled to try to kill her family! There is no way you can think of “Watcher World” without remembering Alice's equal involvement in Blinky's scheme.
I'd argue that she's a much better fit for Blinky's special human. He forms a grudge against her for insulting and disobeying him ("Fuck you, Blinky", "You'll be sorry"), just like Pokey's fixation on Paul because he defied him. She has a theme of watching going on herself, in contrast to Bill's naivety and obliviousness: being perceptive enough to notice the creepy, suspicious elements of Watcher World; trying to use observation as a tool to control Deb's behaviour, Blinky's modus operandi (though I personally like to believe that Deb didn't actually cheat and Blinky was tricking her); and having a connection with social media in general, which Blinky is thematically similar to and embodies the worst, most harmful elements of. She's deeply self-conscious, concerned with her reputation to her peers and has an anxiety disorder. The result that she's always worrying about how people see her and feels pressured to act in certain ways by that is exactly what Blinky wants in his prey, just like how Linda is Nibby's ideal hungry Honey Queen. She's interested in theatre and wants to be a playwright, to write shows where people will passively watch characters struggle and suffer for their own entertainment. Blinky creates live plays too - he even proudly says “Welcome to the show!" when the father and daughter's duel begins. She knows how to manipulate people by showing them what they want to see, giving her script draft a tragic ending for the queer main characters that's more likely to get it accepted in the discriminatory industry, when in fact she wants to change the ending once she has more power.
And she alone defeats her Lord in Black. Pokey assimilates Paul. Tinky breaks and owns Ted. Nibbly consumes Linda. Wiggly completely enslaves Linda and leads her to her death, and Wiley is unshakeable from his allegiance to him. But Alice? She overcomes the mind control, pushes through her panic attack, shoots Bliklotep in his all-seeing eye and goes home with her dad. And lets go of her independent issues with perception and image by putting down her phone.
She is so much like Blinky, and so much his perfect victim. Except that she wants happy endings. For the characters in her stories, for herself and for the people she loves. And she has the strength to make them come true. She's Blinky's equal and opposite. The hero to his villain. She can do everything he can, on a human scale, but she believes in happy endings.
I know the fandom likes the 'CCRP eldritch horrors’ favourites gang', and that is fun. But give Alice the respect she deserves! I see her as Blinky's Ted while Bill is his Pete; also a valued toy, but more by proxy than in his own right.

A complete travesty in the Good Omens universe? Michael not being portrayed the leader of angels.
She's supposed to be the Supreme Commander, and she's supposed to be the boss. I sincerely suggest you don't fight me on this hill. For Hell's sake, the actress has the perfect vibe... A crime has been commited here.
Therefore, I swear to fix it in my fanfictions. General, I'll do right by you. ❤
If you can't tell, in spite of being on the opposite side, I'm attached to this figure. I'm protective of this figure. I'll defend this figure with claws and teeth.

The worst part about JJK (at least for me) is that they’re literally JUST KIDS. They should be doing stupid kids stuff, not dying, not watching their friends die, not fighting, just being TEENS. Nobara shouldn't be saying shit like “I’ve have a good life”, Yuji shouldn't have to be forced to be a vessel for some fucking monster, Haibara shouldn't have been in a situation where he could have died like that, Geto shouldn't have had to watch TWO of his close friends die, and none of those kids should be fucking fighting. They should all be out shopping and watching movies and making friends and doing stupid teenage stuff. They shouldn't be worried about life and death, they should be worried about homework and stupid drama.
Like none of them were old enough to chose that life. They shouldn't have to do all this :(

this is not your part of history exactly but i was wondering if you were going to watch queer, the luca guadagnino movie set in the 50s with daniel craig? it seems like your style
I've read Burroughs (including Junky and Queer) and honestly. after reading one of Guadagnino's interviews, & a couple of others from the screen writer: I became hostile to it conceptually lmao. in a surprise turn of events, it seems like I've got strong opinions on adapting Burroughs/Queer to screen and I'm not sure that Guadagnino will deliver something I'm interested in seeing
but! I'm going to wait and see if any of my friends watch it and what their thoughts are before I commit one way or another
