He knows it isn’t your favourite day of the year. One that is usually meant to bring joy and happiness and love is instead one that fills you with dread. Worried people would forget, having to force a smile at gifts that show that they really don’t know you at all.

He knows not to push it either. He’s good at that. Knowing the battles to pick and those to leave. You suppose that’s why you love him so much. The way he’s comfortable to sit in your hurt with you, not immediately jumping into fixing it, because it’s been years and you don’t think he could truly unravel everything behind the feelings. But he’s there, with a strong arm around you and a kiss to your forehead. It doesn’t need words, just his presence to say I’m here, I see you and I love you regardless.

It rains, because of course it does, weather to match mood, drowning out any hopes of the walk he’d promised. You distract yourself, cleaning mainly, even though the kitchen counters are spotless and the vacuum has been used more times in the past week than it has in the previous two years since you bought it. Distraction mainly, but now, with nothing to do, you sit. Listen to the fat raindrops and odd rumble of thunder. It almost makes you laugh when he starts talking, like a scene from the old romcoms you used to watch, but you let him do it anyway. His right hand moves first, a beautiful bouquet of flowers, a dusty rose colour, which he hands to you. They remind you of the paint swatches, the way he’d patiently waited at the store for you to pick it. And then painted eleven swatches on the living room wall until you settled on one. Old rose.

“Hermosa,” he breathes, “Feliz cumpleaños.”

He bends, warm lips to your cheek, finally stepping across the threshold into your home, the place he spends more time in than his own home, his other secret revealed in the shape of a basket, woven, with a telltale red and white gingham poking out.

“Damn the rain,” he says, “and damn this misery, I know we can’t have this outside, but I know you hate eating outside anyway.”

He holds the basket up to you, lets you open the top. It’s full to the brim with food, all of your favourite things from your favourite places you’ve been with him in the past year. Pastries from the coffee shop where you had your first date, fruit from the farmer’s market you visit each Sunday, sandwiches from the shop you always stop at when you visit him at work to make sure he’s eating - it’s all there, in black and white, the moments you’ve shared, tiny, edible pieces of his love and care for you, that’s he’s the first person to ever truly see you, to ever truly know you. It makes your eyes water and your nose sniffle.

You press up on tiptoes and gently slant your lips over his, trying to tell him without words how much this means, how much you truly do love him.

You spread a blanket on the floor, unpack the food and sit for hours, eating and talking and kissing, until it goes dark outside. It still rains as he clears up, lightening now illuminating the sky, it rains as he leads you upstairs and undressed you, and thunder cracks along with your gasps and moans when he buries himself inside you.

It eases late, after he’s woken you in the dead of night with his mouth fused to your cunt. Draped across his chest, silence, save for the two of your breathing, you realise that this is all you need. One man who will do the most for you. One man who will continue, day in and day out, that he truly loves you. Maybe it won’t fix the disdain for your birthday, maybe it won’t fix anything else, but it doesn’t matter. All that matters is that he found you and he loves you.

Shopping addictions or impulsive overspending is a really hard habit to break out of, and depending on your financial situation you can end up in really tough spots because of it.

As a general disclaimer: I am not a doctor or therapist, I'm just a mentally ill 24-year-old on the internet who's had issues with overspending (like a lot >-<) but hopefully, these tips can be of some use to you! I would also recommend looking for advice in other areas as well! Don't use this post as your only resource ^-^

♡ Overarching tips ♡

♡ Identify why you might have a shopping addiction. There are many different reasons for this! One thing that can help you identify the reasoning behind it is to analyze the emotions you feel when shopping. Do you feel frantic? Stressed? Really overly-excited? After you make the purchase how do you feel? Do you feel guilt? Shame? Regret? Relief? Super happy? Really analyze your feelings through the process and get a vibe for how it's making you feel. A lot of times shopping addiction develops as a way to cope with negative feelings. If you're feeling sad, stressed, or anxious, it's really tempting to buy yourself a "little treat" to make yourself feel better! But that can spiral into situations where any time you feel those negative emotions you feel a strong urge to go out and buy something to make those feelings go away, and a lot of times they'll come back even worse after the fact. If this is something that you think plays into your shopping addiction, you'll have to build up your resources for healthy coping mechanisms to give yourself alternatives to shopping when you feel down or anxious. Shopping addiction can also develop as a reaction to being in a poor financial situation. You can see this a lot with food and toiletries, but it can happen with other items as well. It makes sense that if someone has experienced food insecurity, once they have extra cash, they'll overstock on food to ensure they never run out again. That same logic applies to other aspects of life as well. If this is something that is playing into your shopping addiction you'll need to do some work into identifying places in your life that you feel the need to overstock on, why you feel that way, and how you can help minimize those feelings to help yourself feel secure without needing to overspend and overstock on those items.

♡ Identify what you are spending your money on. What is it that you're overspending on? Toiletries like skincare products and soaps? Food? Cookware? Clothing? Stuffed animals? Identifying what it is that you impulse buy the most can help you pick up on some of the reasons for your overspending, and can help you know what areas of purchases you need to be more aware of.

♡ Avoid browsing. Especially with online shopping, browsing for items to buy is way too easy. It is so tempting to log onto your favourite shopping websites and just browse for hours, even if you don't need anything! You can open Amazon without the intention of buying anything in particular and the website will shove products into your face until you convince yourself that you absolutely need something T-T so avoid browsing these websites.

♡ Identify when you need something or truly want something vs when you’re experiencing a Fear Of Missing Out (FOMO). There are multiple parts to this. The first one is SALES. 20% off! Free shipping! Buy one get one 50% off! IGNORE THAT!!!! If you did not want to buy it before you saw the sale, do not let the sale influence you into buying it! That's what the corporations want! These sales are designed to create a false sense of urgency so that you feel a stronger need to purchase the product, even if you didn't really want it that much before. Another part of this is trends. This is really easy to see in fashion but it applies to other things as well. Do you really need the new skirt that everyone is talking about? Do you REALLY like the item or do you just want it because everyone else has it and you want to be cool? Would you wear it if no one else was wearing it? Do you already have items to style it with? How often would you actually wear it? Do you already own something similar? These are really important questions to ask when you're shopping for fashion because it is SO EASY to see everyone else wearing something and then just go buy it because everyone else has it, and then they all move on to something else and it just sits in your closet for the next few months never to see the light of day again.

♡ Take note of what you already have. When you're out shopping for something, ask yourself "Do I already have something similar" or "Do I already have something that can serve this same purpose". This works for a lot of things. If you see a new cardigan you really like, think about if you already have a cardigan you can style in the same way. If you're looking at new cookware, ask yourself if you really need another pot or if you have one that can do the same thing. And if you're not sure, go home and check! It is so much better to make sure that you really need the thing that you're buying before you buy it, than to buy it and then realize that you don't need it or you aren't going to use it.

♡ Don’t view shopping as a hobby. Ask yourself... truly, do you treat shopping as though it is a hobby? If you spend multiple hours on shopping websites, it is a hobby. If you get dressed up just to go walk around Target without any specific thing that you need to buy in mind, it is a hobby. Try to replace this with something else that doesn't involve spending money. If you're spending a lot of time on shopping websites, try playing a video game with customizable elements where you can sort of get the feeling that you're buying and building things without spending money (Animal Crossing is really good for this, making Picrews is another good and free option). If it's more of a way to get yourself out of the house try going to places that don't involve shopping instead, there's a surprisingly large number of free or really cheap little art galleries and museums around where you can go walk around and look at cool stuff without really being sold things. Look on your town's website and see if there are any events going on, you'll be really surprised to see how much stuff people organize and do ESPECIALLY around winter-time there are usually loads and loads of free tree-lighting ceremonies and light shows. Talk to your friends too! If meeting up with friends to go shopping is a big part of your friendship dynamic tell them that you're trying to save money and ask if there are other things that you guys can do instead. (Also just as a note I know this is a lot harder in rural areas than cities T-T I do apologise).

♡ Don’t go shopping just to go shopping. If you are going shopping make sure that you are shopping for something that you actually need or truly want and have the financial means of getting. Before you walk into the store identify what these things are. Buy only those things. Additionally if you’re looking for something specific but can’t find that item, don’t settle for something else, instead wait until you can find either the specific item you wanted or a really close alternative. Remember that it’s okay to leave a store without buying anything! If you didn’t find what you wanted or needed, you don’t have to buy anything!

♡ Set a reasonable budget. Sometimes it's okay to just go shopping for fun, but you want to make sure that before you go shopping you set a reasonable budget for yourself. You need it to be enough that you'll actually be able to stick to it (like I would not set the budget to $20, that's unreasonably low), but you also want to make sure that it is not SO much that it is going to financially stress you (for example $200 is usually too high for me). For most people, this is going to land you somewhere in the $50-$150 range depending on your income, expenses, and current financial situation. If at any point you find yourself saying "I can spend a little more if I don't do XYZ" STOP. If you start taking money away from other expenses for "fun shopping", STOP. Make sure that all of your essential bills and expenses can be comfortably covered before you start spending fun money.

♡ Wait before you buy. Don't feel rushed or like you have to buy something right now. Identify things in the store that you like, leave the store, and come back later if you can. If you forget anything that you wanted in the time between you leaving the store and coming back, then you don't really need it. If you cant leave the store, step away from your basket for a second. See if you can remember everything in your basket then come back. If there is anything in your basket that you did not remember, put it back. If it’s online do the same thing. Close the page and see if you can remember everything. If you can’t, delete what you didn’t remember. Even better if you wait 1 week before purchasing. You can leave the items in the cart, just wait a few days and see if you still want to buy them after those few days are up. The general idea is that if you do not remember and want the item when it is not in your immediate vicinity, then you likely don't need it. And especially if you leave the store and come back a few days later, if you really really wanted it on day one, but when you come back two days later you don't really want it anymore, then you likely don't need it.

♡ Think critically about each of your purchases. Ok Mouthwashing crew cat assignment as well as hcs.

Curly: the hardest for me to assign, I would say Main Coon or LaPerm. They have personally similar to Curly's and appearance vise too.

Cat Curly would get along with all the cat crew. He loves to sit near windows and observe the outside world. His favourite toy would be fish shaped, but he doesn't have any strong preference. This kitty is very polite and clever: when you call your cats he understands you and gathers all others cats. The best bug hunter, Curly will save you from any unwanted bug. Brings stuff to you too, like small trinkets or even his prey (still alive though, be careful!!). Camera likes him and he does very good poses.

Post stove cat Curly would be alert and quiet. Unfortunately he would be depressed, having troubles playing and eating, preferring to sleep at some secure place without people. Meanwhile cat Jimmy would become more confident and erratic, making trouble for everyone in the house. Curly wouldn't like taking his meds at all, his meows are extremely hard to listen to. Cat Anya could be found near him more often.

Jimmy: street Tabby cat with evil looking green eyes (found with flees and diseases too💚💚💚)

Cat Jimmy is a menace. Knows he is not allowed to scratch furniture and walls but still does it. Takes others' toys and hides them all the time. Fail cat because he can't groom himself properly (cat Curly has to help). Meows are weird and loud: DO NOT close any doors. Jimmy loves hunting, always in hunting mode but as mentioned above he is a fail cat. Play fights with Curly a lot, once he tried with Swansea and it didn't end well for him. HATES patting but doesn't mind head scratching. His tail is a no-no. Steals food from others, especially Curly (because he lets him), so you have to lock Jim away somewhere.

Swansea: Persian is made for him!!

Cat Swansea is very old and independent. He's hard to read, but if you manage to learn how, you'll be rewarded. Likes to be alone and watch the order in the house from his favourite spot. Quite distressed if something is amiss and doesn't like new stuff and strangers, especially kids but he has the saint's patience. Flicks tail in annoyance, flicks tail in annoyance, flicks tail in -- Swansea can eat anything, but he knows he's not allowed to eat human food. Would still look veeery intently at the ice cream you bring. If it doesn't contain chocolate, give him a lick or too....

Anya: unsurprisingly Russian Blue, from my experience very gentle cats.

She doesn't get along with all the cats. She and cat Jimmy have had nasty fights (he always initiated them), other cats had to step in as well as you. Anya enjoys human company more, especially if it's the humans she knows. Otherwise she hides somewhere for a while and then tentatively returns to sniff newcomers. She can sense negative emotions well so she will come and sit on the lap and purr... for hours. Cat Anya loves sleeping beside you or under your covers with you. She chirps and looks at you when you call her. A foodie, don't feed cat Anya too much or she will get sick.

Daisuke: Japanese bobtail cat with calico tri colour coat (cute bell provided)

Cat Daisuke is a menace but in light-hearted sense. He loves to explore your house, always gets stuck somewhere or breaks something but never on purpose. If you open a cabinet or a drawer, expect to find him sitting there (he will learn to open things himself anyway). Jumps when scared but quickly recovers. He's a young cat so he's still very active, loooves to play, the faster the game the better. Doesn't like to play alone though, he needs attention from anyone or he will sulk. Successfully begs for treats: Daisuke looks very cute and polite and you hate yourself for caving in every single time. Sticks to cat Swansea: one time Swansea hisses at Daisuke, the other time he grooms the younger cat. Strange.

I don't remember if you've written anything about the Dreamtale twins. Do you have any personal headcanons about them? No, I'm not asking because Nightmare is my favourite and has been on mind a tone lately...

I’ve written a teeny tiny bit about the dreamtale twins. Not all that much tho so I’m glad I get the opportunity to ramble about them!

Nightmare is 100% the elder twin, if only by a few seconds. He totally lords this fact over Dreams head whenever is most convenient, and also means he felt solely responsible for himself and Dream when they were children

Nightmare hid all of the abuse and mistreatment the villagers threw at him. Dream genuinely had no clue anything was wrong.

Dream has a hero complex. He doesn’t know it yet, and doesn’t want to admit it, but it’s something he picked up when he was a kid that never quite went away.

Nightmare is capable of positive emotions, just as Dream is capable of negative emotions. Though either twin isn’t the best at expressing positive/negative emotions

Dream really likes spicy foods, Nightmare loves sweets.

Dream picked up archery at first when he was young, a travelling merchant had gifted him a bow as a gift and he got into archery.

Dream is illiterate, or at least is for his childhood and then likely a few years after he’s released from stone. Neither twin grew up with a formal education, so they both had to teach themselves.

Going on from this, Dream has dyslexia. He hated reading for years and would only sit down to listen to his brother narrate one of his books.

Nightmare has a gigantic library in his castle, stocked with books from all different au’s. He likes seeing how the same author can write such different stories across multiple au’s.

Nightmares castle works like the Other mother’s home from Coraline. Theres only so much to the world, walk far enough and eventually you end up right back where you started.

Dreams version of Nightmares castle is a little cottage on the outskirts of a Monster town. It’s not in its own separate dimension like Nightmares is, Dreams home is settled in a highly positive au.

It’s probably Blue who teaches Dream to read. Ink is…not the best teacher, and Blue is the only other person Dream would feel comfortable telling about his illiteracy.

Ink and Blue both crash at Dreams home. Even though neither live there full time Dream likes to keep their rooms just as they left them. (He has a room dedicated for Nightmare… if his brother ever wanted to stay of course)

Nightmare does get along with the bad Sans’s. To varying degrees on certain days (….Killer I’m looking at you)

Nightmare and Dreams relationship never fully repairs. Ever.

Sure they’re not actively trying to kill each other anymore. But by this point there is such a wide gap between the two.

Dream doesn’t like this, and for the longest time tries to force Nightmare to be around him, to spend time together, etc.

And it doesn’t go well, Nightmare is really the twin who feels too different from his past self to ever go back.

As much as it hurts Dream to think about. Nightmare has new interests, thoughts, personality, friends, even family.

Dream can only hope that one day, they will be able to spend time together like they did as children.

Why is purple Rhett's new favourite colour?

To be honest I am not big on writing this post because all I want to say is "it's gay. that's the post. bye" but this would not be fair or totally accurate for this wonderful and well thought out episode.

Rhett and Link are painted red and blue and get isolated in respective tiny rooms, in some type of GMM-like experiment. They are guided through the experiment by what seems to be a sinister twist on Stevie. The point of the experiment is to check whether this colour theory of association to emotions can be proven real. There is this expectation that after a while in these colours Rhett and Link should start behaving in a certain way.

The food cube segment seems to allude to weird taste tests and competitive games in GMM. Rhett is more reactive and compentitive while Link is more stoic and relaxed, as expected. Of couse, before that we were graced with another imagery of them drinking from tubes.

Rhett and Link already express that they feel irritable and antsy and lethargic and pensive repsectively. This could be commentary on their real selves, as we know that Rhett can panic and get reactive in the face of hardship while Link has said on many occasions that he likes to nap away his problems. Things got worse when they listened to comments that resemble quite a bit some of the real life negative comments they get.

Another interpretation could be that this is a message that they comply to what is expected of them.

You know, the title of the fairytale evil!Stevie is reading them, Ferdinand the Fox, is a play on the children's tale "Ferdinand the Bull" and... I have a lot of thoughts...

Ferdinand is a young calf who, unlike all other calves playing fighting and acting tough and strong, he prefers to calmly smell flowers. His mother worries because he is different than the other calves but ultimately is understanding to him. Ferdinand grows up and he becomes an unusually large bull. Yet he is not aggressive and tough at all, he still prefers to sit at peace and smell flowers. One day Spanish bull fighters come to the farms to select the next bull for the bullfights. Ferdinand knows he would never be chosen and sniffs flowers calmly, only accidentally he steps on a bee and the bee stings him. Ferdinand starts running, mooing and heaving due to the pain. Impressed, the bullfighters take him for a challenging wild bull and take him with them. In the bullfighting arena, Ferdinand is entirely distracted by flower bouquets and ladies' garments adorned with flowers and refuses to fight. The bullfighters are filled with shame at his expense and return him back to his pasture. Unbothered, Ferdinand continues his flowery life in peace.

So... that is an interesting starting story to draw from, isn't it?

However, Ferdinand the Fox is quite the different character from Ferdinand the Bull. Let's take a look to the Wonderhole fairytale because this one is very interesting as well.

We have a land of many furry animals (Mythical Beasts) whose favourite songs are Fo-Rest and Trees (Rhett and Link). They chant these songs daily (daily content) and the magic fountain fills with the purest, sweetest water (the - monetized yet authentic - creativity produced by the chemistry / collaboration / bond of Rhett and Link). A fox called Ferdinand however crafts a plumbing system that routes all the water to his own place, so he enjoys all the water while the other animals are dehydrated and sing in vain (Rhett and Link's creativity is drained and channeled to a single format / style of content, perhaps due to somebody's or some people's responsibility, to the dismay of their loyal fans). Eventually the animals stop chanting their favourite songs (Rhett and Link lose popularity / viewership), however this is not beneficial for Ferdinand either because the fountain needs sound in order to produce water (money). But he knows singing Forest and Trees is not necessary for this (Rhett and Link's authenticity and artistry are not truly necessary to make money). So he goes to the other animals and starts spreading gossip, negativity, toxicity which creates unrest amongst the animals but, if nothing else, the fountain makes water again (uninspired, basic content with toxic, negative fan community). A mole named Marvin - another occurence of a mole, most notable was the mole who was supportive of Rhett and Link's hole digging - digs deep enough that he discovers what is going on. He comes to the surface and tells the other animals the truth. However, Ferdinand manages to turn the animal community against him by questioning his claims and even blaming him for the water drainage. Ferdinand wins (as Rhett and Link's videos usually have bad endings).

Who was the recurring mole? The old fans? Someone in particular? Someone in their immediate social or workplace circle? Someone who rallies for Rhett and Link's creativity / authenticity / sincerity but their efforts are met with too many obstacles? And who is Ferdinand? Is it some certain person with power in Rhett and Link's business? Is it the toxic, conservative or overly particular part of the fandom that wants only one type of content? I cannot tell what these characters exactly stand for but I feel the story told here is pretty much along those lines.

Rhett says how "we the animals" would want a revolution (a drastic change in how Rhett and Link present themselves and express their creativity?). Link comments how he feels sorry for the dehydrated animals (long standing fans?) and just before the crescendo of this video, he reflects how the animals (fans) should have listened to the mole (truth teller?, shippers?, old fans?, real life ally?).

And then we have this scene which was kind of agonizing, especially when you think there is a symbolism in it, which it obviously has a symbolism in it:

Like a literal wake up call, we are blasted with the image of Rhett and Link cuddling in their sleep. They also make sure to show that they must have "mingled" enough during their sleep that their bedspreads are messed and each has ended up on the other's bed and they are towards the opposite direction than the one they had in the beginning. In short, they have "cuddled" long and hard.

It's not just about that though. Rhett and Link are still being watched throughout in this context and, if anything, it seems things are going according to evil!Stevie's plan or expectations for the experiment. She removed the wall between them, waiting to see whether it would led the experiment to this and it DID lead the experiment to this. So there is an element of manipulation of which Rhett and Link seem to be the victims, either because they are driven to this or because they are watched while inevitably this happens. It sort of reminds me again Rhett's passive aggresive "Perhaps you are right after all" to the shippers last year.

When they wake up, they act like they have no memory of what happened (that level of twist and turn with another person in bed requires you to be at least semi-awake) and they deny having any will in this, particularly Rhett. In fact, Rhett accuses Link of "blueing him in his sleep" (wow) and slaps him. Then we get ANOTHER Puzzle Video reference!

Which is not surprising at all... remember what Link does in the Puzzle video ;)

A lot of denial, in short. The incident has made the tensions go up high. Rhett and Link start fighting each other in an ingenious fight sequence, wonderfully shot, directed and acted. With their fight, Rhett keeps redding Link and Link keeps blueing Rhett more and more, bit by bit. Eventually they challenge each other to "surrender". This goes on for a while until Rhett promises he will surrender, only if Link does as well. Then there is another round of "surrendering first" challenge until they proclaim to surrender, only to tighten their grips on each other extremely. The tension rises uncontainably and they eventually explode, creating purple in the process. Their purpling provokes another food reward by evil!Stevie. And here is what "purpling" means in Evangelical context, as explained by @unforgivablengk .

Based on this video, the tension and subsequent explosion can mean one of these three things:

Rhett and Link try desperately to resist the inevitable, all while challenging each other to make the first move to surrender. It reminds me of the peanut butter argument in the Flight Simulation, where they fight over who will take the first scoop. This only builds up the tension and they eventually "explode".

Rhett and Link are on different pages regarding being upfront and honest with their audiences and they both stick-in-the-mud forcing each other to surrender to the other's opinion. They are so stubborn in their own opinions that they neutralise and dissolve themselves in the process.

Maybe it's only artistic / work commentary, showing how they are different personalities who have different creative visions but their tension and the rubbing off of each other creates their trademark "purple" identity. I mostly saw this being the interpretation of many others on youtube. However, it does not explain why it needed physically touching heavily in bed to convey that message and also Rhett and Link have never claimed their artistic visions are different or that their personalities are opposite when it comes to the artistic vision.

But here it's time to remind you all that Rhett has only since the previous year started expressing his love for the colour purple (there was also the Lucy Lavender chicken in the Road Crossing Chicken video) but it has not always been his favourite colour. For the longest time, Rhett was not that decided on having a favourite colour but whenever asked, he would say that his preferred colour was grey. For ages. Then for a short while he also appreciated green, after his own eyecolour (lol). But suddenly, since a year or so, he is so big on the colour purple like he was never before with any other colour. This is a slightly sudden change. I believe he has associated purple with some particular symbolism in his mind...

Fansession rambling time before I go back to sleep!!!

Lusii and Carapacians in my fansession have formed a mutualistic bond on post reckoning Alternia and the two races often aid eachother. My headcannon is that Lusii can project their voices but cannot read minds(save for some species I'd imagine) and most have adapted and learned to speak carapacian!

Lusii on post reckoning Alternia are revered by its Carapacian inhabitants because instead of a desert biome,the land is pretty much the same but overgrown and wild meaning all of the dangerous flora and eventually fauna are deadly to those who don't know their way around. So the lusii guided the Carapacians and in turn both parties gained companionship, protection, and shelter(Example:Surly Milkmaid and Playful Nanny, SM provides shelter and care for PN who provides companionship and milk to sell)

It's not unusual to find carapacians wearing headwear and or armor fashioned after lusii after being on Alternia. Most commonly this is done for good luck but can mean many things(Example: EM in her Derse attire has headwear fashioned after a tiger lusus because she admires their ferocity and cunningness)

But it's also common for headwear and armor to be fashioned after lusii companions past or present! In turn most lusii will adorn themselves in the colors that their carapacian companions wear.(Example:Loyal Steed wearing barding in the Dersite colors that Daring Courier wears)

However not everything is perfect, due to the insane amount of outer god tampering and influence on the session there is the presence of cult activity(these cults are not only on post reckoning Alternia but hold a very real danger for it's unknowing inhabitants.) Lusii will sometimes be coaxed in by cultist who will provide them food and shelter and promises of companionship before sacrificing them to their god of choice. Ectobiology machines in my fansession are almost all infected by fragments of horrorterrors, most of which feed on blood, meat, and negative emotions. So the machine will not work without a blood offering. All of the carapacians generated in this session are sterile so they depend on these machines to keep going when people die, but most people don't know how they really work since the holy machines are protected and hidden by churches away from the public, many of which have fallen into outer god worship.

However some churches don't contain cultist and members will willingly sacrifice themselves in order to create more carapacians. It's a somber event but also a grand celebration is held for the person beforehand. Their favourite music is played, their favourite food cooked, and they are embraced by everyone before leaving. It is seen as honorable and brave that they are willing to give up their live for others to have a chance but the person will not be shamed or judged if they change their mind.

Okay to wrap this up lol many Alternian tech is still present, not all of it works but some are still functional. It's not uncommon to find a radio in someone's home or even TV's and VCR's. These are seen as valuable and groups of carapacian and lusii will venture out together to collect working tech to sell or use. While the setting is medieval its completely normal to spot adventuring parties gathered around tablets for entertainment or Inns and Pubs playing old Troll movies and shows from cd's on refurbished TV sets

Anger was boiling up inside of you the more the day went on... It started as mere irritation, unable to get the negative mood you were in off your back. Then came the memories...

Memories you had buried for the longest time, stuffed inside an old trunk in your mind, padlocked shut and tossed into a flowing river. Except, it was washing up now. Slowly but surely, memories came back to haunt you.

You refused to let them make you feel sad, refused to give them the satisfaction - so you replaced it with anger, an emotion you felt you could control better. But no, the anger was brewing, spewing over into your day to day life.

Copia had heard whisperings that his amore was in the worst of moods today, siblings of sin warning others to steer clear where possible for fear of making it worse or being the person you took it out on. Not that you were usually feared, but people knew of a side to you that was darker, less forgiving. And they knew it came from a place of trauma, of pain and hurt.

You were none the wiser, going about your day and letting inanimate objects have it. Cupboard doors took a hit, chairs were shoved, papers thrown on desks and doors slammed shut. In fact, the door to your living quarters slamming shut is what alerted Copia to you returning home that evening.

"Amore?" he called out to you from the kitchen.

"What?" you snapped back. Copia didn't take it personally.

"I-I made you your favourite," he called back, a little nervous. You could smell the food he'd made wafting into the living space now. You sighed to yourself, pinching the bridge of your nose. Sometimes you wish he'd give you a reason to get angry, give you an outlet to vent but he was too kind for that. He only ever tried to make it all better.

"I'm not hungry," you deadpanned, knowing you were going to disappoint him and doing it solely out of spite to try and get a rise out of him.

There was silence, until he walked into the living room with a plate of food for you still. "You should still try to eat a little, amore," he reasoned.

"Copia, for the love of Lucifer! I'M NOT HUNGRY!" you yelled, regretting it instantly as soon as you saw the hurt look on his face. You weren't being fair, you knew it. You were being cruel for the sake of being cruel. You were hurting him.

Tears welled in your eyes, the anger inside you evaporating at the look on his face. Immediately, the surface layer of anger and rage was pulled back, revealing the hurt and trauma behind the curtain. And you just broke.

You flopped onto the couch, sitting with your head hung low as sobs racked through your chest and tears stung your eyes. Everything hurt, every memory was coming back and it was all just so exhausting.

Copia laid the plate in his hand on the coffee table by the couch, and sat next to you, not hesitating to wrap his arm around your shoulders and draw you into him. The moment your cheek hit the material of his shirt, it dampened with tears, and your body fell limp against him.

Pretending all day had been the most exhausting part. But you didn't have to pretend anymore. "I...I don't... want these... memories anymore..." you sobbed into his chest. He just hugged you closer, kissing the top of your head and whispering sweet nothings into your ear with a gloved hand stroking your hair.

He sat with you for Lucifer knows how long, knowing you just needed to let it out. He'd be as patient as he needed to be.

When your sobs quietened and your breathing returned to an even rhythm, he lifted your head to check on you.

"I'm sorry..." you mumbled, embarrassed. But he just smiled at you sweetly, holding your chin up with his thumb.

"It falls on deaf ears, amore mio... You have no need for apologies, eh?" He pressed a sweet kiss to your lips for a moment, a perfect distraction.

"You're too good for me," you admit.

"No, cara... We are a perfect fit, I believe..."

He fed you bites of your favourite meal that evening, long since cold, but each bite made with the love he held for you.

You didn't believe in angels, but if you did? He'd certainly be one.

This Post is about Fuu.

(Because he's been rotting in my brain for the last few days and he's one of my favourite characters.)

This post is mainly about questions and general thoughts surrounding Fuu. This is mainly self-indulgence since this creature has been invading my thoughts non-stop for the last few days. If some parts are kinda cooky or out of place or smt please just ignore them😭

Ok, so you guys remember when the trash beast was falling apart and everyone was sorta freaking out? Noerde got YEETED out the beast and presumably died or at the least very injured. The cleaners escaped thanks to Guita's jinki and the Vandals thanks to that girl's manhole. But what about Fuu?

It is VERY CLEAR that the vandals abandoned him, and yet the next time we see him, he's seemingly completely unscathed from the prior events of the story.

(I mean the title of the chapter didn't even bother saying "the people left behind" instead of "the woman left behind" but that's prob bc Noerde was the main subject) he doesn't have any means of escape, and let's be honest,

He is not able to do anything alone.

His whole character seems to be centured around his absolute dependency on someone else. Especially when it comes to leading and making decisions. The minute he has to act independently, Fuu completely breaks down and spirals into panic extremely fast.

Also, in this panel, Fuu talks about a "flaw" he has to fix. This could be just a natural flaw someone could be born with and that he was born with these extremely negative traits.

But in this case, his main flaw is dependency. Something like this is usually grown out of. Obviously, this can very easily be different for everyone. But, for this trait to be so present and strong in someone they legitimately collapse and completely break down the way Fuu does.

There can be many reasons, but in this context, I'm theorizing that Fuu has Dependant Personality Disorder.

But first, what is DPD?

"Dependent personality disorder (DPD) is a mental health condition that involves an excessive need to be taken care of by others. A person with DPD relies on people close to them for their emotional or physical needs. Others may describe them as needy or clingy.

People with DPD believe they can’t take care of themselves. They may have trouble making everyday decisions, like what to wear or what food to eat, without others’ reassurance. They usually don’t realize that their thoughts and behaviours are problematic."-Cleveland Clinic

This paragraph describes Fuu's behaviour pretty darn well. Even when he was supposed to fight Enjin. Fuu essentially just begged Enjin to begin the battle. This could tie in with his jinki tho...

This theory can explain why Fuu doesn't really seem to acknowledge his way of acting. I could be wrong but it seems as if Fuu isn't aware that his way of behaving is off-putting.

(I mean the amount of lack of awareness you need to pull up on the guy you were supposed to fight and lost to pitifully, calling him master'n sir...)

People with DPD typically don't realize their actions are weird or problematic. This disorder can easily explain his weird clinginess to Enjin given he sees him as a role model and someone he can depend on.

There are a few causes for this disorder to come up,

Experiencing abuse: People who have a history of abusive relationships have a higher risk of a DPD diagnosis.

2. Childhood trauma: Children who have experienced child abuse (including verbal abuse) or neglect may develop DPD. It may also affect people who experienced a life-threatening illness during childhood.

3. Genetics: Someone with a biological family member who has DPD or another anxiety disorder may be more likely to have a DPD diagnosis.

(I'm leaning more toward the first and second, because of smt we'll talk about a little later...)

Ok, let's get back to the trash beast thing...

It's clear that Fuu used his jinki to escape the trash thing. But his jinki is weird...

His jinki seems to have some conscience. It can speak and is aware of its surroundings and situation. Since Urana hasn't shown us all the world, I'm just gonna assume jinkis aren't "alive" and that Fuu is a special case. In fact, his jinki seems waaaayy more in control and in charge than Fuu himself.

The way I see it, Fuu is the battery that supplements Hii, given that jinkis need to be taken good care of and be loved. Fuu is the perfect candidate due to his possible disorder. Hii is the leader, the one in charge whenever Fuu needs it, (which is essentially all the time)

The word that describes their relationship best is DEPENDENCY, A TOXIC ONE:

Fuu needs Hii to take charge and Hii needs Fuu to give him love and attention to stay alive.

Fuu's entire character is surrounded by DEPENDANCY.

On top of Hii's intelligence, he is surely a very strong jinki. I mean think about it, if my theory is right, a person with DPD would have a lot of love and dependence on their jinki, which would increase its power. Also, to be handpicked by Zodyl means you're a special case.

Hii's independence could explain why Zodyl showed interest in Fuu even with his cowardliness and lack of combat experience.

Perhaps Zodyl wanted to test to see what would happen during a fight:

Or is it Hii? If so, how does he operate? Do they work together or one at a time?

When does Hii come out? When Fuu needs help/is in danger or just whenever he feels like it?

What is his limit? Does he have any true potential?

HOW STRONG IS FUU IN REALITY?

Obviously, Fuu did NOT pass the vibe check and is abandoned.

But I think that's gonna bite Zodyl in the ass later for one reason:

I think Hii is Fuu's abuser

Well, specifically, I think he is supposed to be Fuu's abuser, almost to replace or incarnate his former abuser.

Let me explain...

See how one of the causes of DPD is an abusive relationship or a traumatic childhood?

WELL...I think Fuu had an abuser, whether it was a parent, friend or even lover, and it was BAD. But Fuu endured it either because he had nowhere else to go or was deluded into thinking that the person loved him (which I think fits him best...)

Eventually, the abuser abandoned Fuu and my man was crushed. The abuser had made him so dependent on them that once they left, he didn't know what to do. Something was missing... so he found Hii.

He basically used him the way a kid uses eany meany miney mo. Whenever he had to make a decision, he would use his imagination and wonder: "what would [ ] do?"

As you can imagine, the love and care Fuu gave Hii made him go back to life. And that's how I think Hii came to life.
