Do you have the Monday Blues, INDO BOARD Fam? Get outside under a blue sky like Morgan Hoesterey and know that there is joy in the world. 😊💪🤙🏄🏽‍♀️🌎✌️Georgette . . . #Indoboard #balanceboard #thankyouforthelove @theinertia #strong #beautiful #wild #free #indoboardgirl @morganhoesterey ・・・ via @theinertiahealth: “I know we’ve talked about it a million different ways but seriously, mastering your pop-up is probably the single most important thing to focus on while learning to surf. Screw up your pop-up, and you’ve messed up your wave before it’s even started. And with it your chance to get better at actually riding a board. With that in mind, add this stellar little progression to your dryland routine to help improve your pop up... Once you have mastered the balance board pop-up, the final part of the progression adds in a pigdog as a strength element. Start with your chest centered on the balance board, with your hands and arms directly under your shoulders. In one swift motion, pop-up onto the board by replacing your hands with your feet. Once you are on the @indo_board, immediately rotate into your surf stance, dropping your back knee down as close to the board as possible, grabbing the rail for stability.” - @morganhoesterey Watch this How-To video on theinertia.com/health #balanceboards #surftraining #theinertiahealth https://www.instagram.com/p/Bo9qp8uHcRJ/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=ghrzb8knd6pm

Dehydrated this Sunday? 😝Check out my tips to staying hydrated on @theinertia !!💦💦 #Repost @theinertia ・・・ via @theinertiahealth: "Dehydration is often misunderstood and is quite a complicated issue. Unknowingly to most, it’s even the number one cause of several health conditions and truly affects people’s day to day lives producing headaches, overeating and so much more. We can think of it as a silent inhibitor of health in this situation because people often choose to not attribute dehydration to major health concerns. When you are living in a dehydrated state your body cannot detoxify and is in a constant inflammatory state. This is a huge red flag because inflammation is the main cause of ALL disease. Treat your water bottle like you do your phone, your wallet, or your keys… I bet you never leave home without these essentials." - Torie Borrelli (@thevidawell) 8 easy-to-read signs that you’re dehydrated, on theinertia.com/health #dehydration #waterislife #theinertiahealth (at San Diego, California)

I love this #Repost @theinertia ・・・ via @theinertiahealth: "Researchers in Australia found that the lungs of surfers with cystic fibrosis were much healthier than the lungs of patients who did not surf. They discovered that the saltwater mist of the ocean helps rehydrate airway surfaces, which in turn lubricates the lungs. This makes it much easier for those dealing with cystic fibrosis to clear their air passages and break up mucus. In observing the relationship between surfing and healthy lungs, researchers developed a hypertonic saline solution that seeks to provide the benefits of surfing to those who don’t have access to the ocean. Researchers have found that patients who either surf or receive saline solution treatment have half as many lung exacerbations as those patients who do not. However, surfing offers the unique benefit of combining saline mist and physical exercise into one natural treatment." - @taylorpitz Read about 5 medical applications of surfing, on theinertia.com☝️Link in our bio! 🏄🏽 @kalanirobb 📷 @mauliolafoundation #cysticfibrosis #naturalmedicine #theinertiahealth

Following on from my previous post about my favourite feeds to follow, @theinertiahealth posted this. Very good reading. #Repost theinertiahealth: "If ever there were a man worthy of the title 'Super-Human,' @kellyslater would be the first one on my list. The guy’s an absolute freak in the best possible way; from winning 11 world titles to dating the likes of @camerondiaz, @gisele, and @pamelaanderson, there isn’t much that Kelly can’t do. However, I’m not writing to praise Lord Slater or to remind everyone of how great he is, but rather, to give an insight into something I’ve noticed that could use some more attention: Kelly’s diet and what he’s trying to say about it." - @shanecooney Read 10 amazing health tips according to Kelly Slater's Instagram, on theinertia.com/health☝️Link in our bio! 📷: @kc80 | @wsl #HealthyLiving #HealthVibes #theinertiahealth

#Repost @theinertiahealth with @repostapp ・・・ "I think when you hear the word fat, people think it’ll make them fat. Americans have the lowest fat diets in the world and have the biggest and most obese people. There is a correlation between the two. People don’t realize the positive effects of healthy fats on your brain, digestion, and joints. We have good fats, too. People talk about coconuts and avocados being fatty. Avocados, coconuts, and chia seeds are natural foods. They just grow on the earth as they are. They’re unprocessed and they’re some of the healthiest foods in the world for you." - @kellyslater Eat like a pro: Health tips from Kelly Slater on theinertia.com☝️Link in our bio! 📽: @thechiaco #HealthVibes #nutrition #theinertiahealth (at Trestles)

It’s Fire Up Your Core Friday, INDO BOARD FAM! Do your best to keep your INDO BOARD as level as possible. Or use the IndoFLO®️Cushion instead of the Roller. * Turn on your major core muscles - pelvic floor muscles, transversus abdominis, multifidus, internal and external obliques, rectus abdominis, erector spinae (sacrospinalis), especially the longissimus thoracis, and the diaphragm. And the minor core muscles: latissimus dorsi, gluteus maximus, and trapezius. * Team rider, Alise Carver, leads us to a great weekend workout! 😊💪🤙🌎✌️Georgette * #Indoboard #balanceboard #indoboardgirl #fitness #littlebantumsurftrainer @littlebantamsurftrainer @theinertiahealth ・・・ “Looking to improve your stability & balance for surfing, snowboarding, skiing, riding, running, swimming, living... @Regrann from @theinertiahealth - "It’s no secret that the health food world is experiencing a coconut craze. People are chugging coconut water while they condition their hair with coconut oil and bake cookies with coconut flour. It seems like coconuts have made their way into every aspect of daily life, and at times, it can be a little overwhelming. I’ve often wondered how much of the coconut hoopla is real? What are the actual benefits of this stuff? Well, simply put, coconut lives up to the hype. Here are 7 ways that coconut can heal and help your body. 1) Repair and Moisturize Skin Coconut oil is great for any type of skin, and if you use it, you’re sure to see results. In fact, a new study has shown that it can even help repair skin suffering from xerosis, a common skin condition which is “characterized by dry, rough, scaly, and itchy skin” that is caused by a defective skin barrier. The study found that coconut oil worked “comparably” to mineral oil in the treatment of this condition. 2) Maintain Oral Health Coconuts have certain antimicrobial properties that have long been documented by the people of rural Southern India. In this region, people have been known to brush their teeth with coconut husk. To test these properties, a recent study found that alcoholic extract from the coconut husk actually did inhibit the growth of common oral pathogens. This test both confirmed the existence of powerful antimicrobial compounds in coconuts and demonstrated their strength in supporting oral health."- The Inertia's @taylorpitz Learn more about the 7 healing powers of coconuts on theinertia.com/health👆Link in our bio. Some good advice @Regrann from @theinertiahealth - "Success is the sum of small efforts, repeated day-in and day-out." - Robert Collier... "Most of us just wing it when it comes to how we eat, and there is nothing wrong with that. However, if you want to get serious about leading a healthy lifestyle, preventing disease and chronic illness in the future, or dropping a few pounds of fat now, then you have to change that. You need to get a plan, and you need to be prepared. And then you need to practice. Practice. Practice. Fail. Keep practicing. It’s the only formula for success. The good news is that just like anything else the more you practice something the easier and more automatic it becomes. In the beginning it can be difficult, (think about the first time you went to hot yoga), and how over time it became easier. This is true for getting better at eating for a healthy lifestyle. 1. Create a grocery list. Once you have an idea of what you are going to eat, put together a grocery list. Stick to what you need for each meal. Your list should be heavier on the veggies and protein with some fruit and starch. Try to keep most of the list full of fresh food..." - Julie Gohring 5 habits of a healthy lifestyle, on theinertia.com/health☝️Link in our bio!
