Engage with the wheel as a source of inspiration. The Law of Attraction is less about sit-back-and-wait and more about step-up-and-be. Actions needn't be discernable movement. 🔮 Our card for this week is The Magician. And that was a somewhat surprising and very intriguing draw for this week, given its appearance in our monthly energy reading.* Let’s see what this master manifester’s energy means for us. “The Magician greets you with a great, warm smile of welcome and hope. He wishes for you to understand the powerful ability you have to make manifest that which is best for you, your family, your surroundings, and the world as a whole. He asks you to believe in your ability, and in your sovereignty. “The purpose of this card for you is a reminder. The reminder is that you are more powerful, and more able to effect change, than you give yourself credit for. This week, you are encouraged and urged – and may feel compelled – to make change within your life that will make change without your life. “This is important, for we notice that the inner reflects upon the outer, always. The outer reflects upon the inner only with your permission. Notice the difference. Feel the difference. Make a change.” Wow. That’s a powerful message – and more than one powerful reminder – for us. The word “sovereignty” stands out as though it’s a neon sign superimposed over a cardboard sign. There’s weight to the word because of its importance for us. We are called to remember our individual sovereignty – our place as leaders in our own right – and consider how that might support the change (whatever it may be) that we need to make for ourselves this week. I have the sense that we’re being pushed to take action more than usual this week because we enter our last Mercury retrograde of the year on the 16th. Daily #Tarot for Friday, August 14, 2015 ⭐️THE DEVIL⭐️

All morning my thoughts have been volleying back and forth between, “Drink coconut water, make green smoothie, do yoga…” and, “F*ck it, just go get donuts”. So I did. The Devil comes into play whenever we indulge in the very things that we know are not good for us, but we do it anyways because they make us feel oh so good. It’s about giving into temptation. Many people fear this card, but I think that to acknowledge the Devil inside is a good thing, because to do so is to understand the very qualities that make you human. Everyone has a vice, whether they care to admit it or not. The key is to integrate your shadows in a way that is healthy through moderation. Today, give yourself permission to eat a donut, or two! Don’t feel guilty about living it up every now and then. Because anyone who says that Heaven cannot exist on Earth has clearly never microwaved an apple fritter.

Three card Weekly To-Do Inspo, no set card placements. The Housewives Tarot

In the Ace of Wands, I am reading an upsurge of energy and motivation to get started on a huge undertaking to move my family to another country at an accelerated pace, which has got my anxiety at a high, but I am trying to remain optimistic and focused. 

The Devil reminds me that my anxiety can be very crippling, so some relaxation during this time is a must. 

The Two of Swords further alludes to the importance of balance and careful decision making, perhaps in terms of my time management. 

All of the cards together give me a feeling of sexual healing. So it’s time to get sexy.

🔮 Our energy reading for this week is guided by the Three of Swords. When I flipped this card over, I heard, “Let’s dig in.” That certainly sounds reasonable, given that this card can sometimes mean great heartache of some sort. • Even just studying the card’s imagery, I notice that even though the heart-shaped cake has been impaled by three cake servers, the impaling was done with such precision that the cake itself isn’t a mess. Perhaps that’s telling? Let’s find out. • “The tone of this week is one of getting to the heart of the matter, of digging in to the root of any heartache or despair or despondence which may be keeping you as though in the past. There is both need and opportunity to see what is perpetuating the dis-ease, and give it the attention and healing it requires. “With this, then, ask yourself, ��Who is holding my heart in such a way that I’m imprisoned?’ This will set the envisioning, investigating and healing in motion.” • Okay. It feels important to mention that while this card in Tarot is typically one that really bothers people, the channeled message brings forth healing rather than hurting. This is why it’s helpful to remember that Tarot truly is a tool for healing, no matter what card comes to light. • That said... I’m deeply appreciating the opportunity for some excavation and healing being offered up to us. And I’d encourage you to add another question to – or perhaps to sub it for – the one served through the message: What is holding my heart in such a way that I’m imprisoned? • Whether it’s a who or a what that’s holding us back, this is an opportune week to get clear about it and begin healing it so we can move wholly forward, apace with the other facets of our life. 💖 There's a second half to this reading, available on my blog. 🔮 What's up energetically for this week? 🔮 Ooh… The King of Cups after last week’s Knight of Cups. That’s a sort of upgrade, right? The King is higher than the Knight. What’s the buzz? (No pun intended, even with the beer in hand and the one waiting on the hassock. 😉) • “Promise yourself that you will hold firm to your emotional integrity. Promise yourself that you will hold firm to your own emotions and their balance. We see this week could affect you in the way of others’ emotions taking precedence over yours. 🔮 This week's energy reading: Interesting draw. When I look at this card, I think, “Schmoozing,” and yet it could be sincere… Right? It could be that he has the best of intentions and is wearing his heart on his sleeve (not his breast pocket).
