*Blows dust off Tumbler

Howdy folks! Guess who’s back?! No not Santa Claus, that’s too early for him... I know. I’m sad too. 

I don’t know really what’s brought me back to Tumbler this time. I’ve been getting back into my own personal writing, plus I’m now a copywriting intern for Fresh Produce; an advertising agency. I was really disappointed when I found out they weren't farmers, but then I remembered that vegetables were ucky, so I soon go over it.

I thought it’d be fun, since it’s been so long, to share some more music with you guys! I’ve recently found Spotify and my Pandora days are done. I loved you Pandora, but I think it’s time for us to go our separate ways. It’s not me, it’s you... wait... that-I didn’t mean... *sigh

Well this is just awkward now... on that “note” let’s check out some new five faves!

“Out of this World” The Grass Roots (1969)

- The MINUTE this song begins, I swear, the sun starts shining, the birds start chirpin’, and Grandma starts doing backflips. If you’re having a slow morning, turn this on it’s like having a ton of cocain-COFFEE, coffee flow through you and gets you all pumped up. *sniff

“I Want to Know What Love Is” Foreigner (1984)

- If there was a hopeless romantics national anthem. This. This song would be it. I don't know a single song in existence that is as passionate, poetic, and personifies what it feels like to search for love. I realized way too late last year this should’ve been on my last list, and, don't worry, I’ve already undergone the necessary measures to rectify my injustice... those whip marks are STILL bleeding...

“The Rubberband Man” The Spinners (1976)

- Could someone PLEASE tell me where James Gunn finds his music? Seriously, if you have his number I won’t tell a soul I swear! If not, I’m afraid you’re just going to have to suffer the consequences... as soon as I find out what they are. ANYWAYS, If you thought “Out of this World” was a day brighter, oh man oh man. The Rubber Band Man HYPES UP THE ENTIRE GALAXY. So much funk and rhythm that just makes you lose yourself every time. How was this song not more well known for it’s time?? Honestly.

“Got My Mind Set On You” George Harrison (1987)

- This is that kind of song that goes through your head when you’ve met “the one” or if you’ve seen a triple decker sloppy joe with pickles, barbecue sauce with a side of ranch all slow roasted over an open flame with a cherry on top. Another song to get you excited and get the ol’ blood bumping. George is my favorite Beatle, and this song alone can back up my claim as to why.

“Believe” Cher (1998)

- 2017. Summer. Sioux Falls, SD. Harmadon Baseball Park. Parks and Rec. This was the melody that I had on CONSTANT repeat. No joke. I’m not joking. I just told-well fine! If you don’t believe me, you can just go! ...please don’t go. If you want to be transported to a rave made up of pure emotion and sweat that you’re sure isn't entirely yours, then come to my house. Just kidding (kind of)! This is the song that’ll do just that! Ok, my description didn’t really do it justice. Just listen and you’ll know what I mean...

Well you guys, this was fun. Now I’m in such a good mood that I think I’m going to do push-ups while I do a 5k sprint! I’m totally kidding! I’m still in a terrible mood. Again. Kidding. lol but seriously! This was fun! I hope you enjoy all you hear, that is, if you haven’t heard it before. (I KNOW YOU’VE HAVE. DON’T LIE TO ME!)
