My 1st Designer's Brunch Thanks @leleandtheking1 for allowing Auntie & me time with my one year old niece Camille Rose. Thank you my little one for trusting me with your 👑First train ride 👑First brunch in NYC 👑First strut on these city streets Kudos to fellow queen, costume designer @molzwolz for the thoughtful Sunday excursion. With this little one in tow it definitely reminded us of our responsibility to design a better world for the next generation. P.S. Thanks Camille for tricking me into ordering your food off the kids menu but then eating all of mine, only to take yours home in a doggy bag. GUARDIAN ANGEL . . . . Today's #mcm & #EmperorbyDesign is the late Alexander McQueen. All of my button downs were in the laundry except this one; I layered one of my designs on top & chose to pair it with black and white patterned bias tape as a necktie. This look gave me some power to present at a fashion show I was thrown in last minute to produce. It felt like this angel had wings and it served as a reminder I pretty much can do anything I put my mind to. Now that this fashion show is over I can get back to work on my own creations. Thank you Alexander McQueen for staying true to your vision and paving the way for the next generation of creators. Went to @materialsforthearts today with @theempressofstylebydesign to see what treasures I could find for my HCZ comics club, & found some comics in Spanish! This one in particular looks awesome - my students will love them. Materials for the arts is an amazing FREE recycling resource for artists in NYC working for non-profits.
