Singing helps to boost self confidence in a child.

When travelling you can involve your child by pointing out landmarks and notifying them when your vehicle needs to turn left or right. Your child will learn the difference between left and right and that will put them ahead when starting school.

The best lessons are initiated by children as the focus is on their line of interest.  The teacher guides and extends that interest.

Try to allow your child to always be happy. Childhood is short.

Teach your child how to draw a circle then spend the next week pointing out items that are circular. Your child will increase their fine motor skills and quickly start identifying circular items.

Human movement studies have shown that regular children’s dance can improve overall cardiovascular health.

Even pretending to play cards with your child starts them in recognising the shapes and names of numbers.

Children sometimes do not enjoy certain tastes such as pumpkin and mushrooms as their taste buds not only detect bitter chemicals better than an adult but they also have twice as many taste buds! Perhaps a past protection against toxins.

Barriers are not needed when educating children.  They simply need to be interested in the subject and then allowed to enjoy wherever the education leads them.

Socially, it is essential that children learn to use manners as early as possible. Saying ‘please’ and ‘thank you’ are most important to children to understand the use of social conventions.
