hmmm favorite AUs?? aahh there are so many good ones. i’ll list some that come to mind.

time loop and time travel aus!!! band aus, canon divergent, modern/no power aus (like hs/college or at some job or other typical settings), something with horror, ummm… angel/devil, vampire/vampire hunter.. fantasy… hmmm. that’s all i can think of rn, tho ik there’s a lot more. i really like aus in general tbh. i think it’s fun placing characters in different kinds of settings and situations :3

As a movie suicide squad isn’t valid, but for au sake Andrew would be Harley and Neil would be deadshot

as a movie suicide squad is,, fine :/ i saw it in theaters, i’ve seen worse movies ig

i thought enchantress was hot and i really respect all the work robbie put into training for the role (that crazy bitch did most of her own stunt work!! all intense acrobatic shit!! in heels!!) also joel kinnaman (the rick flagg actor) is one of my andrew inspo/references but only in altered carbon specifically. so maybe instead i should say takeshi kovacs is one of my andrew inspo/references and that actor also happened to be in suicide squad lol

and like,, not to say ur not valid, but i think if anyone’s anything they would be switched. neil as harley and andrew as deadshot. 

deadshot has a much more detatched, “done with this shit” stoic demeanor which i think fits andrew better. plus deadshot’s motivation in the movie is protecting his daughter and ensuring she gets the chance at a good life, which fits in with andrew’s protective instincts of his family. and neil as harley? well it’s more of a stretch, but harley is a smart, observant character that hides that fact under a ditzy guise, somewhat similar to how neil josten hides under his own lies and identities. also he has the thematic arc of longing for an abusive relationship (with his mother), making escape attempts/disappearing, then returning to the team, like harley does with the joker. also neil is valid to smash things with a bat. he deserves it

the rest of the foxes tho? i literally don’t think i could place them as suicide squad characters. like maybe i could see a kevin/jean/riko perfect court dynamic out of rick flagg, dr moon, and whoever viola davis plays. maybe. but the rest of them? i would genuinely feel like it’s offensive to cast the rest of the foxes in suicide squad’s minor roles lol
