I was so fortunate to have stumbled upon the “Holy Grail” of mid century modern furniture! Broyhill created their “Brasilia” line of furniture in 1962. It was inspired by the Brazilian architecture of Oscar Neimeyer. I've absolutely LOVED 'Abstract The Art Of Design' on Netflix! One of the many things I love is how articulate each subject is. They share their passion and process through their working lives, rather than a retrospective of their past. I love that! It's so ridiculously inspiring, it's energising (and daunting - getting that creative freak-out we all get of "What have I done!? I need to do more more more!"). JFCS Fashion Show 2016

After two years of working with JFCS, 2016 marked the third straight year that Fuller Street Productions was invited back to handle the fashion show set up. JFCS is an independent organization that serves Long Beach and 22 other communities in the neighborhood. Their mission is to help anyone in need, including individuals, families, and children, regardless of their religion, economic status, sexual orientation, disability, or ethnicity. If there is anyone out there that needs help, JFCS will definitely give them a hand with no hesitation. JFCS offers a safe place for anyone who needs counseling and support.

This past year’s event, RUNWAY: The Art of Design, featured all student designers from local colleges and their lines consisted of the top Fall trends. This event sells out every year and 2016 was no different. This incredible event raised $47,000 to provide professional, affordable counseling and social services.

In order to create such a chic runway, we provided High Gloss White Staging, measuring 6’ W x 48’ L x 24”H runway with a 20’ W x 6’ D x 24” H upstage. The long stretch of runway allowed the models more space to walk and allow everyone in the audience to see their unique outfits. We also provided two 8’ W x 10’ H Bleached White Muslin Wrapped Set Flats on the sides and a 12’ W x 10’ H Bleached White Muslin Wrapped Set Flat in the center back. The lighting package was designed specifically to highlight the JFCS speakers at the podium and the models walking the runway.

As always, we had an incredibly great experience working with the wonderful staff and members of JFCS. We look forward to the next time we get to work with this superb organization!
