Da pochissimo avevo cominciato a leggere super eroi. Per me fino ad allora il fumetto era solo Topolino.

Poi con il numero 35 dell'Uomo Ragno Star Comics la mia vita da lettore cambiò.

Cominciai a leggere di super eroi che vivevano vite vere, quasi persone reali, con veri problemi.

Questa storia dei Vendicatori (perdonate la boomeritá) ma io i super eroi li voglio chiamare con i loro nomi italiani, mi colpí moltissimo. Un eroe, il Calabrone Hank Pym, perso nella sua follia dopo aver assunto questa nuova identità picchia la sua fidanzata.

Janet Van Dyne, Wasp, capisce che in Hank qualcosa si è rotto e non denuncia, cerca di coprirlo di salvarlo. Ma ad accorgersene sono i suoi compagni Vendicatori, e loro mettono in atto il processo al Calabrone!

Una storia a tinte scure, cruda, che ha cominciato a mettere uno dei primi mattoncini in quella muraglia che è la mia identità di lettore!

it wasn’t until he saw you after school one chilly autumn day, your face lighting up with the question, “is that jacket new, ‘samu?”

he nodded—he didn’t think too much of it when he got it for his birthday, so he surely didn’t expect anyone else to notice. “a gift from ma.”

“i like it, it’s my favorite color,” you took in his full appearance, your eyes looking him up and down, “it suits ya.” a cackle escaped you at osamu’s flustered face, only growing louder with him grumbling, “shaddup.” osamu’s biggest tell was always his accent thickening, and you knew it.

as winter came, osamu found himself wearing that same jacket to and from school every day, ignoring atsumu’s relentless “whadda simp” comments, as a part of him hoped you’d one day be chilly enough to need his coat.

and when that day came, with his jacket hugging your figure as you nuzzled in his leftover body heat, osamu found it hard to breathe.

in that moment, he realized he’d found his new favorite color—yours.

Hey, we're fundraising to help our friend replace the belongings she lost in an IDF strike on Gaza!

You might have seen this post floating around about our friend Swin who went to volunteer as a medic in Gaza, and whos residence was bombed the night before she was able to escape through Rafah.

Well, she's home! And we're so grateful to have her back, but the explosion utterly destroyed a lot of her belongings, including her phone, and left her with some minor injuries that'll need some care.

We'd like to raise some money (around $2000) on her behalf to replace this stuff; it doesn't sit well with us at all that Swin should go through so much to help people and be left with nothing but a bill.

Finally finished my most ambitious Hatchetfield project yet. Every box in the border represents a different Nightmare Time, as well as Hey Melissa, Trail to Oregon, Workin’ Boys, the BBQ monologues and Peanuts the Hatchetfield Pocket Squirrel. The three large boxes at the bottom represent the three main musicals. It’s 18x24” and made with sharpie :]
