hybe tarot reading
the group members vs current legal matters
this reading was concluded in 20th May of 2024
bts
the magician reversed, 10 of pentacles, 6 of swords, page of wands
good business, it requires safety, protection, health, newjeans is such a big group and hybe is such an influential company, these issues and their solutions affect the entire world and generations to come. they're breaking old curses, that are helping all types of workers, they know what they're doing and it's likely been planned and/or expected. there's only so much they could do before, this is like britney spears waiting til the right time to expose herself, to try and change the entire justice system.
txt
the moon, the chariot reversed, 10 of cups, ace of swords, 9 of pentacles
a lot to show for, they're loving the consequences and how it influences them, but they're waiting for their own time to make their move. this is bringing very necessary change, in things the public isn't talking about (literally), the cards are diverse here, groups are having fun with them, they're so untouchable, it's a breath of fresh air for those involved, cracking jokes and seeing things for what they really are - not that frustrating situation that everybody's trying to get involved. this is probably the strongest/most powerful group at hybe.
enhypen
3 of pentacles reversed, queen of pentacles, 7 of swords, the devil reversed, ace of cups
it's probably a good day for hybe/kpop/enhypen, leave behind stupid laws they have to answer to and stay in their own lane, doing their own thing. they must have broken ties with people that underestimated them and held them back, hybe is finally getting authority over their art, instead of a law-forced hierarchy, everybody's working towards the same goals. these dudes love science.
illit
10 of wands reversed, 7 of wands, the high priestess, the sun, 6 of wands reversed
they trust those people with eyes closed, it's frustrating how people think it's because artists can't see what's happening, it's because they're strong as fuck.... they defend themselves when need be, and most of who they are is hidden, illit members are happy that people are starting to notice that public figures are bigger and smarter than they thought, somebody cracked the mirror of their reflections and they actually just don't care. you know how illit debut is clearly scientists that ran away from psychic wards and live in abandoned places, but people think it's just "innocent concept"? hm that's very true to real life. they're defying gravity running in isolated spaces, how is that similar to newjeans who's concept is just them and their culture?
le sserafim
8 of swords reversed, 5 of swords reversed, strength, strength, 3 of wands
I literally heard "so the plan is working! it was you, little devils!?" coming from the cartoon on the tv as I shuffled the cards (it's rugrats by the way, but I didn't catch which episode was playing), just like the lyrics in smart. very similar to enhypen, they're involved in a lot of meetings and planning, they're all protected by the things they did when they were kids and by family and friends, there's no need to worry about these groups as if the public knows their story because everyone dismisses that. public has been playing detective because they're bored, le sserafim is changing the industry, like they said, and kpop is part of government, so they're actually changing politics. they're all fine.
seventeen
death reversed, 2 of pentacles reversed, page of pentacles, 5 of cups reversed
again from the tv "alright, but you're gonna regret it! if these rats wanna come in, let's give them a ride they're never gonna forget" right after the death card fell reversed. why is nobody paying attention to seventeen? they're really fucking things up for those that try to control people/the masses, this is a BIG company in every sense of the word, there is not a single small talent here, people are getting involved, posting and talking without even looking, they're everywhere! they're probably here too kkkkkkk this is not a joke, the cards really indicate that, they have a passion for design, it seems, meaning they have a passion for shaping the way people perceive the world.
fromis_9
king of cups, 9 of wands, 7 of cups reversed, 5 of wands reversed, 3 of pentacles reversed
again, have yall forgotten about these groups? they're really screwing things up, this feud is nothing about pedophilia or 1 vs 1, it's about politics and laws, it's obvious.. they may have many licenses, come from lawyer families or be lawyers themselves (yes, members), they've also been untied to something that tried to control them, they're hiding in the shadows, but damn they really know what they're doing.
tws
ace of cups, 6 of cups reversed, 3 of cups reversed, 8 of pentacles, knight of pentacles
this is an adrenaline level legal feud, it's all to do with politics and science, just look at the cards. they may have been pushed to debut by governors that think people are numbers, but that's no issue to them, they're like musketeers. there's not much to say here, just they're fine, they're gonna solve this their own way and they could care less if the public will think they're bad people (much like hybe staff - min heejin and bang pd), they don't care about "they deserve an apology; they're victims", ruthless and they don't get tired.
I'm reminded of miroh by stray kids, uh oh by g idle.
boynextdoor
the lovers, knight of wands, the emperor, 6 of cups reversed, the magician
they have ancient culture involved in this, spirituality, witchcraft and things like that - I don't know how people see things like these on music videos and pretend they're not associated with those people, like how many idols have had tarot and oracle on their images, that's like red velvet's entire concept and please don't pretend aespa aren't scientists and nct aren't businessmen, like kpop is still happening in real life, it's not a psychedelic trip. these members are way more in control than people think, because they relate to physics laws.
newjeans
2 of swords, judgement, 4 of wands, 2 of cups, the devil
they're FINE, these are HUGE cards to have in a situation like this, OMG. the cards don't even need any explanation, like look at this combo, like if you have any doubts or worries, just watch newjeans music videos and listen to stray kids songs like this spread is so district 9 coded. "but I'm not gonna be the one to get hurt" [hurt - newjeans], "I'm going crazy, right?" [omg - newjeans] and "when you say I'm a dream, you don't even know my name, do ya?" [super shy - newjeans]
also, I found the strength card hidden under the 2 of cups LIKE-
like there's a reason why newjeans, le sserafim and txt are the ones public is paying most attention to, "don't forget the shoes I left behind, what more need I say?" [antifragile - le sserafim]
&team
4 of pentacles, 8 of wands, 7 of pentacles, the world
"remember how he was obsessive over clowns? oh he'll be fine!" from the tv as I shuffled the cards again. it's like if you don't know anything about laws, of course this whole situation sounds scary, simple, yet unsolvable, these people train for YEARS, and their resumes are huge.

...Yes, I'm still brainrotting about assigning Sembla to (Kwaiz-ified) Warframes. Send help.
Putting it under a cut.
Excalibur - [???] ("Blades of Light" don't really fall under any of the Sembla. Light can make beams, but I don't recall solid swords of light falling under it lmao. Unless Kwaiz-calibur uses non-psionic magic alongside it...)
Trinity - [???] (She's a generalized healer. Could fall under Flesh or Sugar, and Kraizen can only have one Sembla...)
Ember - Fire (No shit lmao)
Loki - Ink (He's the invisibility and trickery guy, along with throwing out decoys. Switch teleport doesn't fall under any Sembla, though lmao)
Volt - Electric (No shit lmao)
Rhino - Gravity (None of his skills really fall under any Sembla except for Stomp, which "stomps with force sufficient to disrupt time, tumbling enemies around him in stasis".)
Ash - Plume (He has a smoke vent on his left arm and his invisibility manifests as a disorienting puff of smoke.)
Mag - Force (She's supposed to be magnets, but she can yoink basically anything and everything lmao)
Frost - Cold (No shit lmao)
Nyx - Ink? Spirit? (Neither of them have any real mind-control powers compared to, say, Fungus, but the animation for Chaos has a model of Nyx appearing on enemies affected by the ability, which could be an illusion to make the enemies mistake their allies for Nyx and start attacking each other. That doesn't really explain Mind Control, Absorb, or Psychic Bolts though lmao)
Banshee - Alarm (Pretty self-explanatory. Alarm isn't always just making sounds louder... I think...)
Saryn - Corrosion? Fungus? (Leaning a bit more towards Fungus. A lot of the wording for her abilities is "spores" and she has a wide umbrella of damage types that would fall under more than just the Corrosion Sembla, being toxin, viral, and corrosion.)
Vauban - Silicon[?] (He's a bit all over the place. I'm not sure whether he'd fit better under Plastic or Silicon, but I'm just putting Silicon because of his Overdriver mine lmao.)
Nova - Salt??? (Not the slightest goddamn clue. Her thing is antimatter, which isn't really tackled by any of the Sembla. I'm only putting Salt because her most popular ability is Molecular Prime, which makes enemies explode lmao.)
Nekros - Either Spirit or Dream (*Insert "IS THAT THE GRIM REAPER?" meme here* for Spirit, but also a toss-up between it and Dream due to Terrify being able to manipulate emotions directly.)
Valkyr - [???] (no damn clue. Her abilities are a bit of a mess, theme-cohesion-wise. She could be Alarm, or Thread, or Force, or...)
Oberon - Either Plant or Radiation (Similarly to Valkyr, he's also a theme-coherency mess. He's a paladin, king of the fairies, and he has radioactive pulses, slams, and grass, and also has a heal and a passive focusing on pets...)
Zephyr - Wind (No shit lmao)
Hydroid - Either Water or Corrosion (If this was pre-Rework Hydroid, I'd have listed only Water, but now he has a whole thing with the Corrosive status and stealing enemy armor and blablabla. He's still a pirate and water can also erode things...)
Mirage - Light, Spirit, or Ink (Not quite sure which single Sembla to give her. Her thing is confusing and blinding the enemy [See: the Disco Ball of Doom that is Prism], but that doesn't explain shit like Hall of Mirrors making more projectiles, Slight of Hand being explosive, or Eclipse unless she's also using non-psionic magic alongside it.)
Limbo - Either Void or Shadow? (Oh, Limbo, of course you keep being a pain in the ass to categorize. Limbo's thing is controlling "The Rift", a personal demi-plane as it were. While Void fits with using a "personal dimension", Shadow's ability to "sink into" shadows and move around in them untouchably outside of a few scenarios fits with how Limbo actually uses the Rift. Hm...)
Mesa - [???] (Not a single goddamn clue lmao. Literally the only ability that even vaguely falls under one of the Sembla is Shooting Gallery, which feels like it falls under Hex, but that's only one ability out of four and the other four are not really Sembla-ey.)
Chroma - [???] (No damn clue lmao. His thing is wielding four elements, which isn't really a thing for Kwaiz because there's a different Sembla for each of those four elements. No damn clue.)
Equinox - [???] (No damn clue lmao. She's two different frames in a trench coat, how am I supposed to pick one Sembla for this? And her abilities don't really feel Sembla-ey, either.)
Atlas - Rock (No shit lmao. Rocc.)
Wukong - [???] (No clue lmao. He's all over the place.)
Ivara - Either Ink or Force? (Got the Invisibility that feels like it'd fall under Ink, but she's also a pick-pocketing little shit and can guide non-hitscan projectile's movements, which feels like it'd fall under Force.)
Nezha - Fire (No shit lmao)
Inaros - Dust (POCKET SAND. Also his control over bugs and sand-theming also reminds me of Shilalaan, another Dust user who controls sand and bugs.)
Titania - Either Light or Wonder? (Fairy Fuckery is what she is. She likes turning enemies into lures and pulling random buffs out of her ass, she's all over the place. No clue lmao.)
Nidus - Flesh or Disease (Nidus is supposed to be a barely-tamed hunk of Infested material in the vague shape of a human person, but I'm not sure if controlling the Infestation would fall under the Disease Sembla...)
Octavia - Music (No shit lmao)
Harrow - Thread, Hex, or Silicon (Weirdo Void Crit Priest is also a pain in the ass to categorize. Thread would fit for chains, Hex would fit for critical hit manipulation, and Silicon would fit for team buffing and turning enemy damage absorbed by Covenant into critical hit chance.)
Gara - Glass (No shit lmao. Both in the sense of literal glass and the manipulation of perception.)
Khora - Thread (No shit lmao.)
Excalibur Umbra - [???] (See regular Excalibur above. Light? Alarm? idk.)
Revenant - [???] (No damn clue lmao. Another theme-cohesion mess.)
Garuda - Flesh (BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GOD BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GOD BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GOOOOOD SGAKHSGJAGSAHSK)
Baruuk - Force? (I'm not sure. He's pretty simple fisticuffs, and stuff like the projectile avoidance from Elude, weapon destruction from Desolate Hands, and attack shock waves from Serene Storm could fit with Force, but something about it feels... off. It also wouldn't explain Lull.)
Hildryn - [???] (Not sure what to give her. Her thing is shields, and stripping enemy defenses to bolster those of her allies. Plastic? Silicon? idk)
Wisp - Either Spirit or Plasma? (Not sure what to give her. Spirit fits with her being themed after Will-O'-Wisps and using the Will-O-Wisp ability to distract enemies, but that doesn't explain Breach Surge or Sol Gate, which both fall more under Plasma. And neither of them explain her teleportation...)
Gauss - [???] (No clue. He's themed around kinetic energy and has traits that'd fit with Fire, Cold, Force, and Salt...)
Grendel - Either Sugar or Toxin (Not sure which one to pick. Sugar fits with his whole "eating people" thing, but both Sugar and Toxin fit with his team-buffing abilities regarding Nourish.)
Protea - Either Plastic or Silicon? (She's kinda like Vauban. A bit all over the place, not sure which to pick...)
Xaku - [???] (Oh, I have no fucking clue what to do with them and all of their Void Fuckery lmao.)
Lavos - Flesh? (Oh, my precious weirdo. His broad, element-mixing alchemical abilities don't really fall under any single Sembla, but his Leverian lore states that he was given power over Flesh to execute Javi, so I decided to give him Flesh. Maybe he's honed his Flesh skills so much that he's able to make organs that mix and throw out various elemental combinations on the fly... idk.)
Sevagoth - [???] (I have no clue lmao. He's also a non-Sembla-acting weirdo. Maybe the Shadow is an Amplifier or something idk.)
Yareli - Water (No shit lmao.)
Caliban - [???] (Nope, no damn clue lmao. Force? Plasma? Idk.)
Gyre - Electricity (No shit lmao)
Styanax - [???] (Not sure. Force??? Something about that feels off. Idk.)
Voruna - [???] (No clue lmao. Ink??? Spirit??? Wonder??? Idk.)
Citrine - Crystal (No shit lmao)
Kullervo - [???] (Oh goddamnit, more Void Fuckery. No clue what to do with him. Wonder??? idk.)
Dagath - [???] (No clue, more Void Fuckery. Hex?? Wonder?? Idk.)
Qorvex - Radioactive (No shit lmao)
Dante - [???] (MORE VOID FUCKERY. No clue what Sembla he'd have, but he'd definitely also be using non-psionic magic, I mean, just LOOK at what he does.)
Jade - [???] (She isn't even out yet, but since she's based on Angels and choral music, I'm leaning towards Music for now. We can just wait and see.)

Re: mavity rundown
There's a few things to keep in mind:
The TARDIS translation circuits don't just translate for contemporaneous languages like a dictionary look up, but translate concepts psychically, accessing the meaning of the words themselves and changing the users perception of what's been said and what they're saying. Therefore the translation circuits work for languages across time and timestreams.
The translation circuits need The Doctor to function, and they potentially can alter the functionality a tad - it doesn't translate Gallifreyian script and in the "Only Human" novel it has a swear filter.
The Doctor is less or unimpacted by changes in timestreams - they retain the knowledge of what happened before a change whereas others don't acknowledge it, at least conciously e.g. when baby Ruby was taken in "The Church on Ruby Road" (and countless previous examples).
The Doctor is fluent in 20th/21st century modern British English. This was most recently demonstrated in "Wild Blue Yonder" where he had no trouble talking to Donna without the TARDIS. But as he's learnt the language himself, he didn't know to change the vocalised translation of "gravity" to "mavity" until Donna, who's stuck being influenced by the timestream, corrected him and he rolls with it.
It's a bit up in the air how the TARDIS handles switch ups in language or its need for use. In "Fires of Pompeii" the TARDIS had Donna unknowingly speaking Latin, and when she then tried to speak Latin knowingly (Latin-squared?) it changed it to "something that sounds like Celtic" according to a street vendor, and the Doctor identifies it as/jokes that it's Welsh. In the same episode the circuits couldn't translate "volcano" as the Romans had no equivalent concept. The TARDIS doesn't translate tenth Doctor's "Allons-y", though that could be because his intention is to say something not in English and he potentially has finer control over the translation.
The Doctor is able to hear the language underneath the translation, as demo'd with the Celtic/Welsh above, which we as the audience aren't privy to.
All this to say:
1) If a time traveller from the Gravity timestream appeared and they spoke an alien language, "the concept known as Gravity" would be translated by the TARDIS to "Mavity" for Ruby. The audience would likely hear it as "Mavity" to preserve the joke (meta) and because Ruby represents the audience and we've also learnt the change, but we could argue that we should hear Gravity as that's what we'd understand best (as we are also time travellers). There's a way to argue either way, basically. But nothing would be amiss for The Doctor.
2) If said time traveller was fluent in English, but either didn't know about the "Mavity" switch or slips up:
a) As The Doctor, Ruby and the time traveller would be speaking English, its unknown if the TARDIS would catch it to translate the word. If it did, Ruby would hear it as Mavity and the Doctor as Gravity? Both? He might clock there was a translation or lack thereof at any rate. I'd assume the audience would hear it as Gravity in this situation.
b) Like we can hypothesise with "Allons-y", The Doctor could fiddle with the translator circuits as mediated through him to prevent the English-to-English translation of "Gravity", specifically to keep it as a shibboleth.
c) The safest thing to do (and to create an easy to explain build-up) would be to turn the translation circuits off if The Doctor suspects a fluent English speaker of being a time traveller, then test how they respond to a casual mention of "Gravity".
In summary, I bet Mrs Flood will not immediately understand the mavity of her slip up, giving The Doctor a small advantage.

Ikora Rey, the Stormcaller?
Okay, so shout-out to Destiny Lore Vault on YouTube for uploading videos on Osiris' Interpretation. They are from the Lightfall campaign. I'm not sure if you get them from completing the last mission, but that is when I listened to them all. If you haven't listened to them, basically they are the five elements we can now use in containers around Osiris in the Hall of Heroes and he briefly explains a bit about each. It's a nice touch for New Lights or returning players, as it describes what Void, Solar, Arc, and Stasis are. Osiris also explains his current understanding of Strand as the fifth.
(TLDR at the end!)
Here is the dialogue from each of them:
Strand is our newest foray into Darkness. As I understand it now, it is the elemental manifestation of psychic connection. All minds are connected in a web of consciousness, which we can now see and feel. To wield Strand is to pull on the hidden connecting threads, and to use them to create, manipulate, and unravel. I had assumed this element would behave similar to our other Darkness ability. But unlike Stasis, mastering Strand seems to require one to relinquish control. To embrace the connecting threads, and perhaps flow WITH them. I look forward to experimenting more with this new element.
Stasis is the element of will and control. It slows, detains, and shatters. It was our first step into Darkness, and taught us the universe is not as black and white as it first seemed. Elsie Bray and Eris Morn have slightly different interpretations of how one masters this element. Fitting, as Stasis thrives on individual will, but merging their thoughts gives me this... Control over the self can foster control over others, but without power over the self, destruction runs wild. When we wield Stasis, we must exercise the ultimate authority over both self and others.
Void is the element of cosmic distortion. It is the pull of gravity and the promise of entropy. The vacuum of space, and the gravitational forces that shape it, teach us that emptiness is not nothingness. In Ikora's words... "To wield Void is to draw strength from both the immeasurably small and the unfathomably massive." With it, we bend the very fabric of space-time.
Arc is the element of motion and conduction, and is created when the electromagnetic forces of our universe struggle to achieve balance. According to Ikora, Arc teaches us that change is a fundamental aspect of the universe. "To wield it is to ride the storm of the unguessable."
Solar requires us to both exploit and rely on the power of our sun. But to master it is to understand the star's duality. The nuclear force that scorches anything foolish enough to draw near... is the same force we harness to heal. It feeds the flora of our galaxy, just as it begets drought and famine. Destruction and re-creation are a necessary cycle.
One thing is really interesting--who Osiris decides to quote for each. Obviously, it's only really him and the young wolf who know about strand at this point, so he just gives his own thoughts on it. And well, he is known as the Phoenix, so obviously he is also just giving his own interpretations there. Mentioning Elsie and Eris makes sense for Stasis, since they are part of the "Darkness Vanguard" of Beyond Light (and would be the types to have more academic thoughts on it then say Drifter).
But then we get to Void and Arc, and interestingly, he quotes Ikora for both. Obviously the two most well-known/prominent lightbearers of Void are Ikora and Saint. I assume Ikora has done a lot more academic work than Saint on Void, thus Osiris doesn't quote his husband.
But why Arc? This really makes me wonder if Ikora was a Stormcaller before becoming a Voidwalker. But at the same time, this made me realize we don't really have an arc users well-known enough in the game currently (and I mean well-known enough for them to quote it to possibly people who don't read the lore/new to d2/returning players). We have so many solar users, a few void users, and lots of people who either use different elements or their preference isn't specified. But arc? Saladin used it in the one lore entry where Lady Efrideet yeeted him, but that is about it.
So yeah. Just something that made me rant to my boyfriend while we listened to these together. Even he was kinda surprised Ikora was quoted for arc. Idk, is this back up in lore that I haven't read? Or is this new lore that perhaps Ikora was a Stormcaller? I've always assumed she was a Dawnblade before becoming a Voidwalker.
TLDR: Osiris decides to quote Ikora when giving a brief overview arc, which is pretty random. Was she a stormcaller at some point or do we just have like no other arc-users to quote?

The Sahrijinn
In Cryas Darkstalkers Cast Bits 3, I had made mention about a race of beings known as the Sahrijinn. I want to discuss about this race of beings from Makai as they are quite important in terms aspects of world building. So first of all, what is with the name? Sahrijinn is the combination of the words sahri (سحري) and jinn (جن,). Sahri translates to basically 'magical' while jinn is a term many of have heard. Sometimes, jinn are angelized into the word genie. However, I was really against the idea of using that term genie. Still, the idea of the Sahrijinn are these magical beings who have quite the skill with magic of varying kinds depending on the different Sahrijinn among their race. Among the Sahrijinn are the Marid, Jann, Ifrit, Sila, Vetala, and Shaitan. Let us briefly talk about each group of the Sahrijinn.
Marid have the ability to bend spacetime and thus are able to create portals. However, they generally are limited to areas within the dimension they are in. They do however have a sensitivity for nexus points which can allow them create portals to areas outside the dimension they reside in. However, should enough energy be used, Marid can create brief nexus points to other dimensions if they are aware of other dimensions in the universe. The Marid were the first to find the nexus point to the afterlife of Makai, Inkai. They also used their abilities to open the nexus point that would eventually become the Gate. Marid have the capability to manipulate gravity, part of the reason for their ability to warp spacetime. This can allow them to fly without the need for wings or use of wind. Another notable trait of the Marid is their generally smaller size compared to the other Sahrijinn. However, the Marid are capable of entering into a state of being that increases their size exponentially known as the Unbound State.
Jann are beings with a powerful affinity for the wind. This allows the Jann to be capable of powerful forms of wind magic, from the lightest of breezes to the most devastating windstorms. This wind magic also allows them to control the atmospheric conditions of the areas they are in, inducing different forms of weather. The Jann have an affinity for desert areas, preferably finding oasis to hang around in. While they lack wings, they can fly via the use of wind currents. Due to almost being one with the wind, the Jann have a natural love for travel. During the exodus from Makai, they helped lead their fellow Sahrijinn as they traversed the unknown lands of Makai till finding a nexus point that would become the Gate. Once on Earth, they helped in making the first explorations of the ancient world. Their findings helped the Sahrijinn when it came to forming their own realm.
Ifrit are those who have a love for fire and battle. With their control over the heat, they are capable of producing using various forms of fire magic. Interestingly, they are capable of also absorbing heat, both from living beings and the air. Their bodies are capable of absorbing a high amount of heat, though when reaching critical levels, they must expel out the excess heat lest it prove to be fatal. Among the Sahrijinn, they are great warriors with a knack to fight and employing different battle tactics on the field of combat. Ifrit were the ones to help establish the first sense of civilization among the Sahrijinn, both in the ancient times in Makai and later on once the Sahrijinn left Makai.
Sila are shapeshifting beings that like to mimic the form of other beings in the name of fun. While they can be tricksters and like to get involved with others, they do have generally good intentions or just want to have fun. Once the Sahrijinn left Makai, they were among the first to interact with the ancestors of humans. Their interactions would lead to the first hybrids of Sahrijinn and humans.
Vetala are natural born psychics. Their psychic capabilities range from telekinesis to mind reading. Not only do they have these psionic abilities, they also have quite the high degree of intelligence. They purse to learn much in the way of knowledge no matter how big or small. Even in death, their stubborn pursuit of knowledge will lead them possess bodies, preferring the bodies of the recently deceased so as to not compete with control of the body. While they theoretically could keep doing this so long as they have a fresh supply of corpses, they usually only keep this up till they are content with the knowledge they know. Their incredible intellect helped lead to the creation of the realm for the Sahrijinn.
Shaitan are known for their way to weave words and sway conversations. While they lack the psychic abilities of the Vetala, the Shaitan have been noted of having a very uncanny ability to read the body language of others and get into the heads of the ones they converse with. This made them quite powerful in the form of political affairs during the time in Makai and later on with many other beings on Earth. Magic wise, they are fully capable of making use of dark based magic. Not only that, but they also have the ability to make use of various toxins that they can form from within their bodies. They can use these toxins to defend themselves should they be in a tight spot. The toxins from within a Shaitan can cause various effects from nausea to as serious as muscle spasms and temporary paralysis.
With all that knowledge laid out, let me give a brief history regarding the Sahrijinn. In the ancient times of Makai, the Sahrijinn came upon a strange ore that was discovered by some Jann. Upon interacting with the ore, it showed them strange visions of what was later interpreted by some Vetala scholars as potentially the origins of Makai. Among this, it also made them aware of the existence of the soul, the essence of an individual. Not only this, but the visions also showed of a realm where the souls go to rest. Thinking it best not to walk around with a piece of ore as they desired to find this realm, it was eventually carved into a gemstone to be fitted onto a ring. This ring would be known as the Ring of Isis. Eventually, the Sahrijinn found the nexus point to Inkai, which would be opened by a Marid. There, they marveled at the otherworldly land they saw before them, feeling the strange energy emitted by this realm. Not long afterward, they came upon some souls. From them, the Sahrijinn were amazed to learn that these souls were of the ancestors of many beings long ago. Learning of their ways, their knowledge, and even piecing together more about the potential origins of the lands they walked, it was a wonderful time for learning all sorts of knowledge. However, this wouldn't last forever.
At the time, the Sahrijinn were a powerful tribe. While not the largest in number, they had the advantage of having the greatest magical potential together as a race. Because of this, they brokered treaties with other tribes. Among them was with the Aensland Tribe, led by Zeruru. While he wasn't the friendliest, he stuck to his word with the treaties that were placed. Eventually, word of the existence of Inkai was spread. While initially with good intentions to spread knowledge of the collective origin of all, this eventually led to a great conflict. When others were shown Inkai, among them being some emissaries from the Aensland Tribe, it was soon found out that souls had power. Not only that, but they could also be absorbed to obtain power with the consequence of destroying the soul. When the Sharijinn eventually found out about this, several Marid not only sealed the portal to Inkai (trapping some demons who were in there) but managed to use their power to move the nexus point somewhere else. While the souls in Inkai could be safe from further tampering, this could not stop the now known knowledge of soul absorption. The leader of the Sahrijinn of the time, Solomon, confronted Zeruru about this. As the argument grew heated, Zeruru killed Solomon, not only absorbing his soul, but also taking the Ring of Isis. This not only led to the discovery of the great power held within a Sahrijinn soul but sparked a major conflict as other tribes sought after power. In time, many of the allies of the Sahrijinn turned on them and those who did stick with them would either be wiped out or eventually turn on them for their own safety. The only ally they had left were the Bigfoot Tribe. While the Sahrijinn were powerful and the Bigfoot were incredible warriors in battle, they were easily outnumbered by the sheer number of tribes. Eventually, they sought to flee, find another nexus point and leave these lands behind.
It took time, but they eventually discovered a nexus point in a far-off island of a great mountain. There, the Marid opened what would become the Gate. However, to deter pursuers, several Ifirt and Shaitan used their combined abilities with fire and toxins to ignite the mountain. Once they passed through the Gate, all of the Sahrijinn imbued their magic into several Marid to scramble and seal the Gate. Hopefully, the other tribes would not be able to find them. Finding themselves in a new land, they eventually acquainted themselves in this new realm. Luckily, the species here were not of any problem as they were practically like animals. The Bigfoot tribe would eventually go their separate ways, bidding the Sahrijinn good luck. As time went on, the Sahrijinn would discover a species of great intrigue. Primitive at the time, these beings would be the ancestors of humans. Several Sila were the first to interact with these beings. In time however, the Sahrijinn felt it best to eventually isolate themselves from all other lifeforms, still scarred by the events that went down that caused them to leave their homeland. While it took much time, they eventually found a new nexus point that led to a pocket of nothingness. Based on both their memories of their old homeland and the new lands they saw on what would be known as Earth, they constructed a new realm for themselves in this void. Jannah, the realm of the Sahrijinn, was to be its name and the new home of the Sahrijinn.
While mostly keeping to themselves, the Sahrijinn still visited the new realm they found, interacting with creatures and what would become humans. Infact, several of the various Sahrijinn would eventually mate with these beings, eventually producing hybrids. Over the years, these hybrids would eventually dilute the Sahrijinn blood they had. However, it would remain, potentially being the basis for humans to have the ability of magic. Some of the Sahrijinn in time also sought to stay in this new realm permanently, integrating with these beings and hybrids.
Sometime after they did establish Jannah, the Sahrijinn were visited by a strange, but otherworldly race of beings. These were the Angels, observers of the universe and carrier of the souls to Reikai. The Sahrijinn were without a doubt frightened by these new beings but would be calmed when they realized these ethereal beings were not hostile. If anything, the Angels were curious by these new beings they see before them. Despite no words beings said, the Sahrijinn, felt further calm as the Angels merely only observed them for some time before eventually leaving. This wasn't the last they saw of them as they would see them again as their fellow Sahrijinn would die. The Angels would come to retrieve the souls of the dead. While anxious at first, they eventually came to realize these Angels were taking their fallen to a new afterlife, one for this reality. It wasn't Inkai, but elsewhere.
I hope you enjoy this world building bit! This is important beyond just establishing some prehistory of Makai, but also some backstory of this race as eventually a Sahrijinn will be a main character in Cryas Darkstalkers. Feel free to ask questions and I will be glad to answer. Till next time ya'll! 😄✌️

Elevated Railways - Ch 12
Ingo has been in Hisui for two years when two children fall from the sky - with wings like his. Did they come from the same place he did?
Word Count: ~2900
“Teach me.”
Ingo turned and observed Emmet. He was watching Ingo intently, seeing him flutter his wings in the warm afternoon air. “Teach you what?” He had a feeling he already knew the answer.
“To fly.” He was still watching Ingo, his smile genuine. The wind swept through Ingo’s hair, pushing it into his face. He brushed it away.
“Only if you promise me you will not miss any safety checks,” he said, looking back to the horizon. It was rather windy today.
“I promise.”
Ingo sighed, stretching his wings. Lady Sneasler stood outside with them, watching the sun and the Highlands below them. “Gliscor?” A ball popped open on his waist. He could hear his partner next to him, crooning. “Do you mind a quick race? To show Emmet how we fly?” He looked over at his partner, who screeched. That was a yes. Ingo took off his hat, giving it to Emmet. His coat was already tied around his neck. Emmet grinned broadly at him. He knew that Emmet had been waiting for this.
Ingo backed up a few paces from the edge, so he could have a running start. He knelt down, snapping his wings as they expanded. Gliscor laid its claws out on the ground, like Ingo’s hands were. “Emmet, the countdown, please?”
“Three… two… one… go!”
Both of them shot off, Gliscor soaring up immediately and Ingo running a few paces before he jumped off the edge of the cliff, his wings catching the strong current today and taking him up. He flapped as he changed their shape, as always. The wind was extremely strong today, blowing into his eyes. He needed to figure out some way to protect them, he reasoned. That could happen later. Right now he had a race to finish. He was already at the halfway point, changing his wings as he whipped around the tree, Gliscor at his side. Ingo’s heart thrummed in his chest. The wind was at his back now, pushing the both of them faster. Gliscor and Ingo were neck and neck. Ingo flapped once more, his wings shifting back to gliding mode. He fell into a gentle descent, allowing the winds and gravity to take over for him. The ground and Emmet were racing into his field of vision, his body vaulting over the edge of the cliff and the ground suddenly under him as he continued to glide. He finally fluttered his wings, shrinking them and coming to a stop as his feet touched the ground. He let out the breath he had been holding. He turned around and strode back over to Emmet, whose eyes were as wide as his grin, his hair blown back by the wind. He was practically vibrating in place.
“The winner?”
“Too close to tell.”
“We have a tie again, Gliscor.” The Pokemon glided over to him, grinning as it hugged him with its pinsirs. Ingo patted it and allowed it free to float. Emmet put Ingo’s cap back on his head at an awkward angle.
“Please teach me.” He might as well have been begging by that point.
“We will start simple, keep that in mind. I do not think you will be doing those kinds of things by the end of today.” Ingo was worried this would frustrate or deter his brother, but on the contrary, Emmet grinned wider.
“I want to challenge you to a race someday. I will take time to learn properly.”
Ingo nodded, pleased. “We will start by learning how to control the size of your wings…”
—--------------
The younger twins continued to go by Ingo's tent for the next several days to sleep, still wary of Jubilife. More than once Irida came by to ensure they were alright. In that time, they continued doing whatever Volo was showing them, filling out the pokedex, and Ingo got to catch up on a lot of time missed with his brother. In fact, Emmet was already learning to take off on his own, without the help of Tangela or Alakazam (who Ingo always ensured to have out, for fear that while Emmet was learning, he would hurt himself. The psychic came in handy at least once when Emmet forgot to expand his wings and jumped off the cliff).
Ingo was in the air, just below the cliff face, watching. "Alright, Emmet, full speed ahead!"
He heard footsteps slapping against the ground and Emmets form vaulted above him, into the air. His wings were growing and changing as he jumped until the updraft from the mountainside caught him, lifting him up. "Flap, Emmet!" Emmet did, beating his now-large silver wings to raise him higher. Ingo felt a warm feeling in his chest. He was so proud of Emmet.
"Bravo, Emmet!" Ingo flew up to meet him, changing his wings so that they allowed him to hover in place. "You did it without help! Bravo!" Ingo's voice boomed out across the Highlands, scaring off some Starly below.
Emmet grinned. He noticed Ingo's wings and matched his to them, the feathers blending and morphing seamlessly so that he could also hover in place. His facial wings fluttered in excitement.
"Now we can practice landing. That is the next most important step."
"Could we race?" Emmet asked, his face beaming.
"Once I teach you to land properly. And once you learn to navigate currents. I do not want to have an unfair advantage."
Emmet frowned at him. "You would not."
"I have experience. I understand how the air works up here."
"And I can learn."
"It will not take long to learn to land. I promise. If you do it properly, you can learn by the end of the day."
Emmet considered this. "Then let's-"
"WHAT IN THE NAME OF THE ALMIGHTY SINNOH?" Emmet jolted in the air, his wings faltering, causing him to lose altitude. Ingo caught his arm.
"Emmet, flap!" His wings began working again, allowing him to hover back to where he had been previously, if a little more frightened. They both turned, looking down at who had shouted.
It was Melli, standing at the edge of the cliff and pulling at his hair as his eyes bugged out of his head. Ingo met eyes with Emmet. "Follow my lead for landing. What you want to do is get close to the ground, and then flap a few times to slow yourself as you touch your feet down. Watch." Then he called to Melli, "Clear the platform, please!" And he darted forward.
Melli scrambled out of the way as Ingo soared down, coming a mere four feet above the ground before he flapped his wings twice, slowing himself enough that he could touch the ground. Then he turned, motioning to Emmet. "Pull into the station!"
Emmet wobbled forward, trying his best to copy Ingo. He glided a couple feet off the ground, flapping awkwardly as he touched his feet down. He tripped, stumbling forward and catching himself on the ground. "I am Emmet. I am alright." He stood and brushed himself off. Ingo strode to his brother and clapped him on the shoulder as both of them turned to Melli.
He stood like a Deerling in a headlights, eyes flicking between them. “Melli-”
“Why are there two of you?!” He was pointing at them now. Ingo huffed with amusement.
“Melli, this is my twin brother, Emmet. He fell from the rift as I did, however his memories are intact.”
“I am Emmet!” Emmet said brightly.
Melli continued looking at them for a minute. They watched him as their wings shuddered in the wind. “Did he get taken in by the Pearl Clan too and no one told me?”
Ingo then realized that Emmet was still wearing one of his tunics. And neither of them had on their hats or coats. “No, he is just borrowing my uniforms while in Hisui. We plan to return back to our home soon.” Ingo swept a hand through his hair, tying it back in a bun at the nape of his neck His facial wings fluttered about in the wind. “Emmet came here, somehow, during that deal last week with the almighty Sinnoh and the young twins. We have been practicing flight ever since.”
“I heard you yelling loud enough that it disturbed my Lord. I came to see what the problem was.” He glared accusingly at Ingo.
“Ah! My apologies. I am teaching Emmet to fly now that he has also acquired wings, and I got excited about his accomplishments.” Emmet grinned wider next to him.
“Who are you?” Emmet asked suddenly. Melli’s gaze flicked back to him.
“I am the great Melli, the Warden of Lord Electrode. I take great pride in my work, and I am also the younger brother of the Leader of the Diamond Clan, Adaman.” He straightened, putting his hand on his breast as he got into territory more comfortable for him: himself.
“He is the other Warden of the Highlands,” Ingo added for Emmet. Emmet nodded. He seemed satisfied. “I would like to see you practice once or twice more with landing before we begin doing other things. Landing is a crucial skill and should not be skipped.”
“Can you quiet it down? My Lord is having a rough time with all the new Voltorb rolling around and they do not need to be awakened from a nap again,” he sniffed.
“I will do my best-”
“Nope! Sorry! Can’t do that!” Emmet cut in.
“Emmet!”
“He is being rude to you. I know you have trouble controlling your volume.”
“But I will manage. Do not cross the yellow line.” Ingo squinted at Emmet to make his point, who rolled his eyes. “No more.”
“Fine.” Emmet smiled brightly at Melli again. “I do not like you, though.”
“Emmet.” Ingo looked up at Melli. “Do not mind him. He likes to speak every word he thinks of.”
“If I did that, I would have to put verrry many more quarters in the Swear Jar.”
“Emmet, I am warning you.” Ingo grabbed Emmet by the shoulders, shaking him. “Do not cross the yellow line, please.” Emmet’s smile tightened, but he nodded. “Thank you.” Ingo released him, allowing him to swing to Ingo’s side once again. Ingo straightened up, Emmet doing the same and both crossing their arms behind their backs as they watched Melli. He glanced between the two of them again.
“I have things to do.” He turned and left, his eyes still wide. The twins looked after him for a moment. Then Ingo ran and launched himself into the air, Emmet following suit. They continued the lesson.
—----------------
Ten days since Emmet fell. The young twins had been scarce for the last two days, citing that they had nighttime Pokemon to find. Ingo was nervous, but relented, so long as they checked in with him every so often. Emmet was exceeding at flight practice. He had gotten down the basics and was now practicing with wing shapes in the air, as well as navigation. He joined Ingo on his patrols of the Highlands and in doing his duties, learning more about how to survive in this harsh environment. Ingo also took him around other parts of Hisui, pointing out other Nobles and where the Pearl and Diamond Camps were. He also showed Emmet where Jubilife was, though he ensured that they flew a safe distance at night, to minimize the possibilities of being seen.
As it was, Emmet was beginning to grow bolder. He swooped and even did somersaults in the air, trying to get Ingo to race with him, who still refused. He did not want to, not yet. It was during one of their excursions. They were high in the sky, enjoying the warm afternoon air on their wings and the light sun on their necks. They took turns swooping below each other, Gliscor flitting between them and trying to ‘tag’ them. It made Ingo’s mouth curl up at the corners. He had missed this. He had missed Emmet.
“Ingo!” Ingo slowed, keeping a slow, steady pace with Emmet.
“Hmm?”
“Who is that?” Emmet pointed down and a bit ahead of them to a small group of people moving through the Highlands. Ingo had not noticed them yet.
“I am unsure. Let us ensure they do not require a conductor to get where they need to go.”
Emmet nodded next to him. Ingo called, “All aboard!” as he fell into a dive, Emmet copying him. The wind rushed past Ingo’s face, making him cover his ears with his face wings as he descended quickly in front of the group until he snapped his wings out, landing softly with a flutter. He placed his cap on his head immediately and turned, facing the people. Emmet landed neatly beside him, also placing his cap on his own head. It was already dirty from its time in Hisui. Gliscor settled behind Ingo, just above his head.
Ingo saw who it was and froze. His heart sank.
There were several people dressed in a matching uniform of red, all wearing wide-brimmed straw hats. In front, leading them, was a man in all black armor with thick facial hair and an intense frown. Behind him was another man, wearing a skin-tight body suit and wrappings over his hands and feet. His hair flowed in the wind.
Ingo stiffened. Emmet noticed and stood taller. Gliscor hissed softly.
The group stood and watched them, stunned. Their leader was the first to recover. “Warden,” he said curtly.
“Commander,” Ingo said just as frostily. Emmet’s eyes hardened. He knew who this was.
He flicked his gaze between the two brothers. “What is this? A Zoroark?” He narrowed his eyes at Emmet.
“I am Emmet,” he cut in before Ingo could speak. “I am Ingo’s twin brother. I fell ten days ago when the children fixed the sky.” He smiled, but it was tinted with something venomous, something dangerous. Ingo hoped he didn’t cause too much trouble (as much as he wished to do it himself).
“Hmm.” He snapped his gaze back to Ingo. “It was nice to see you, Warden, but we must be on our way. We have a mission.”
“And what might that be?” Ingo cut in, his voice as equally frigid as Emmet’s smile.
“It is none of your concern-”
“If it concerns young Rei and Akari, then it most certainly is.” Ingo was struggling to keep his voice level and smooth.
Kamado stared at him for a moment, his eyes calculating and sharp. “You know where they are.” He did not phrase it as a question. Ingo did not respond. “They have not returned to Jubilife in over two weeks. I am bringing them back-”
“You will not.” Ingo was shocked at how his own voice boomed out of his body, startling the Security Corps.
“You hurt them,” Emmet crooned, monotone. “You hurt them verrry badly. I do not like people who hurt kids.”
Kamado watched them again, unmoving. “They were only banished temporarily until the sky was fixed.”
“Your two best Survey Corps members, who have done nothing but help you, even at the cost of their own lives, who are also merely children, were given the impossible task of fixing the entire planet,” Ingo cut in, his voice sharper than a blade. “And they succeeded. Not without help, mind you. The moment I’d heard of your actions, I searched for them myself. They were injured and terrified. I did not leave their side for days unless required to. Even now, they are scared to enter Jubilife because of your faulty actions.” Ingo lifted his head slightly, looking the Commander directly in the eye. “You made them your scapegoat. Since they came from the sky, it was clearly all caused by them, was it not? Was it not convenient for you, that these two mystery children with no family be dropped into your lap to do all your dirty work for you, so you can toss them away when you are finished with them? So that if they were to perish, no one would notice? So that you could sweep them under the moving train without taking any of the blame?” Ingo’s wings puffed up in agitation.
“They were fine, were they not?” Kamado countered. “They lived. Everything is fixed. Why do you keep going on about this?” he thundered.
“Because I will not stand by as somebody abuses my twins for their own fulfillment,” he retorted, his voice scathing. Kamado fell silent after that, watching him, his eyes slightly widened.
He opened his mouth to say something when a catastrophic boom ripped the air around them. Ingo and Emmet whirled, looking up at the source of the noise. On the tip of Mount Coronet was a dark aura, something bad was happening up there.
And then the screaming. Even from this far away, Ingo could hear it. It was a young girl. “Somebody please! Dad! Irida! Adaman, anyone!”
Ingo’s heart stopped. He was running before he knew what he was doing, shouting in response, “Akari! I’m coming!” He pushed off the ground, his wings melting and changing shapes as he flapped as hard as he could, gliding up the mountain, Gliscor and Emmet not far behind him.

Beginning My Story: Part I
Here goes nothing!
I think of this blog as a record of my “becoming” because after being an atheist for the past fifteen years, and now being well into my twenties, I am undergoing a weird kind of transformation that I don’t fully understand, but wish to document. I sense (and hope) that I am becoming who I was always meant to be.
It began with a very curious emergence of the Baader-Meinhof phenomenon, which is also known as the frequency illusion. It is when, after you notice something for the first time, you begin to notice it more often. This leads to the illusion that there is a reoccurring pattern in your life. This year, for me, it was the Adirondacks. Before this year I had never thought or heard of this mountain range, but for some reason ever since January I’ve been seeing it everywhere. I even ordered a book not knowing that the book is set in the Adirondacks. When I flipped through the book for the first time, the first word my eyes settled on was Adirondacks. So yes, just the frequency illusion, but it also showed me how desperate I am for meaning in my life, for self improvement, for control, for ritual, for SOMETHING. I began to feel what I would describe as “witchy,” but being a fairly rational person I wasn’t expecting to find much in my pursuit of spiritual purpose.
I began reading a bunch of books on Wicca, but I just can’t abide the whole polytheism thing. Any theism, really, that purports a divinity that cares about humans, doesn’t sit well with me--it just seems like wishful thinking, ego, self-importance. And, I know from experience that one cannot simply force themselves to believe in something they logically conclude is unlikely to exist.
However, I knew I had to keep exploring Paganism in some capacity--I just “knew”--but a different kind of knowing--because there are many aspects of Wicca that resonate with me, which are the following:
1. The Wiccan Rede: An it harm none, do as ye will.
2. If you put positive energy into the universe, living by your own set of ethics, trying to do good by yourself and others, you’re likely to receive that kind of energy in return. If you put negative energy out, you will get that back too.
3. There is a powerful, celestial force that presides over the earth.
4. This force is too large and abstract for humans to comprehend fully.
5. “God is a thought. God is a name. God is an idea. But its reference is to something that transcends all things. The ultimate mystery of being is beyond all categories of thought.” - Joseph Campbell
6. Humans separate powerful, unexplainable forces into facets, archetypes or metaphors that we can relate to.
7. The celestial force referred to in #3 is immanent, or inherent in all people and things-- Ex: We are all made of stardust.
8. There is a sacred force that infuses everything, and this is deity, or at least part of it. Ex: Gravity, mass, physics, universal laws that bind all things.
9. The earth is a manifestation, indication, or materialization of the celestial force, and by this association can be considered sacred.
10. Because of the nature of the earth as a materialization of an unseen celestial force, it is beneficial to connect with the cycle of the seasons and participate in earth’s cycles through ritual and/or contact with nature. In other words, nature alone inspires awe and reverence merely by existing in the first place.
11. If each human is infused with the same celestial material, along with the earth and all things on it, we ought to be able to tap into this force in some capacity (which is currently not understood, and likely never will be)
12. Many things in nature occur in patterns-the shapes of spiral nautilus shells, the patterns of leaves and branches. There are also less scientifically verifiable patterns in nature--”psychic ability” is simply the sensitivity and awareness of these patterns--sensing things that science cannot explain yet, but not trying to assign meaning to them.
13. Magic can be defined as “the science and art of causing change to occur in conformance with will,” - Aleister Crowley, which by this definition makes magic objectively real.
14. Magic by this definition is a tool for empowerment and personal growth, and each of us must find our own path to enlightenment and a moral compass.
15. I wish to be the arbiter of my own set of ethics, take responsibility for my actions, develop intimate self-knowledge, and direct the course of my own life.
**Note: Most of these are direct quotes from Wicca for Beginners by Thea Sabin, which I thoroughly enjoyed despite the last fifty pages of the book, which go into specific deity worship (Zeus, Morrigan, etc.). I am a non-theist, but I still found a lot of wisdom here.

Hellsing Liveblog Ch. 82-86
LIKE A BLOODY STORM
Atsuku LIKE A BLOODY STONE
So it’s come to this. This is the “Black Onyx” arc and “Sorcerian Part 1″, where we finally get the payoff to the Major’s 55-year plot against Alucard. Walter betrayed Integra, the Hellsing Organization, and the whole United Kingdom just so Millennium would give him a chance to beat Alucard, and he’s failing. Alucard doesn’t see any point in dragging this out, so he’s sucking up all the fresh blood in London to power up and bring and end to this. Also, if you’re just joining us, Alucard looks like a 14-year-old girl. Just roll with it.
But the Major was counting on Alucard doing this, and apparently his plan to “poison the tyrant’s wine” involves his last henchman, Warrant Officer Schrodinger, cutting off his own head and adding his werewolf blood to Alucard’s meal. Why would this matter at all?
Walter seems to understand, because he begs the Major to stop this, as if the Major could.
Desperate, he bisects Alucard with his wires, but it’s already too late for that. Part of the secret behind Alucard’s invincibility is that he gains a 1-up for each person’s blood he consumes. That’s what Anderson and Walter were banking on when they attacked Alucard before. At the time, he had separated himself from the souls he had consumed, which meant that killing him once -- however tough that might be-- would finish him off. But now it’s too late for that. You kill him now and he’ll just come back and dare you to keep going. And he’s taken the blood of like three million people at least.
So the Major observes that Walter’s window of opportunity has closed. According to him, there’s only been two chances to beat Alucard in a fight since Abraham van Helsing captured him in 1898. I assume he’s referring to Anderson and Walter’s respective efforts.
No, Walter was never the final stroke in the Major’s plan, just part of the endgame. All of Millennium’s resources were sacrificed to get to this moment. Enrico Maxwell’s 9th Crusade? The Major was counting on them getting involved, which is probably why he leaked and shared so much of his plans with the Vatican, even though his target was always London. He wanted the Vatican to send all their best warriors to compound the horror, all so Alucard would use his full power to destroy them.
And then, once Alucard’s full power was deployed, the Major knew Anderson would step in and use everything at his disposal to kill Alucard. This battle destroyed all of Alucard’s familiars, setting him up for Walter to take a turn. And maybe Alucard could beat Walter without taking in more blood, but that;s never been Alucard’s style. He sees himself as a loaded weapon at the disposal of Integra Hellsing. He’s not going to drag things out for no reason, and Integra ordered him to destroy Walter, not humor him.
And maybe Walter was aware of all this, but he still believed he could buck the odds and kill Alucard before the Major’s winning move. Walter’s a rook who fancied himself a king. I guess that’s always been his problem. This was never Walter’s story, and I guess he couldn’t handle that truth. If he couldn’t be the hero, then he was content with being the villain, but in the end he was never more than a plot device, supporting whichever side he was on at the time.
And finally, it happens, whatever ‘it’ is. Alucard somehow hears the Major saying that he’s lost. Is the Major saying it? I don’t think anyone else would be. Whoever it is, he starts flashing back to all the other times he’s heard that.
Then he seems to realize something’s gone terribly wrong, and he pauses to notice the rising sun, which has been a common theme with all of his past defeats. Then all these eyes appear on his body and begin winking out, one by one.
Okay, so what the hell happened here? Well, get comfortable, because this is going to take some time to unpack.
The key to all of this is Warrant Officer Schrodinger, a werewolf with the power to be “everywhere and nowhere”. This sounds like he’s just a teleporter, like Nightcrawler from the X-Men, or.... Majik from the X-Men. Well, it’s more complicated than that.
Let me explain the “Schrödinger's cat” thought experiment, because that’s one of those things that’s widespread enough in pop culture that it’s easy to take for granted. I think people understand it has to do with an imaginary cat being alive or dead, but that’s about all.
The really short version of quantum mechanics is that subatomic particles don’t behave the same way as big objects like apples or planets or people. It’s convenient to think of atoms as tiny little solar systems, with electrons orbiting the atomic nucleus. But the reality is that electrons don’t revolve around elliptical orbits like the Earth around the Sun. What happens instead is the electron zips around the nucleus all over the place, from all angles and directions. What’s more, the electron can be at any particular spot at any moment. So it’s less useful to think of an electron having an orbit around a nucleus. What you have instead is this region where the electron is most likely to be at any particular moment. And you can do the math and figure out what the shape of this region is. You can’t locate the electron’s exact position at any particular moment, but you can consider the region where it’s most likely to be in an atom, which will resemble a sphere or a vaguely dumbbell kind of shape.
This is what the Schrödinger Equation is for. Erwin Schrödinger didn’t just talk about cats all day. He postulated his equation in 1925 to work out the movements of electrons in atoms. It was groundbreaking work, and he won a Nobel Prize for it in 1933, and don’t feel bad if you have trouble wrapping your head around all of this. I’m a professional chemist and a lot of this is over my head.
The point of the “Schrödinger's cat” concept was to help visualize how confusing quantum mechanics really is. There are principles to subatomic particles that we know to be true, but they make no sense in our macroscale world. For example, a particle might have a probability of being in multiple locations at a given moment. It can only be in one place at a time, but until you actually perform the measurement to find out, it may as well be in all of those locations. This is something called “superposition”, and I guess we could say that this idea is the basis for our wolfboy’s powers.
So Schrödinger (the scientist, not the furry) suggested a thought experiment where a macroscale event could depend upon a subatomic condition. Like there’s some subatomic thing that could happen or not happen, and depending on the outcome, it would cause a poison to be dispensed that would kill a cat in a box. If the particle goes one way, the cat dies, but if it goes the other way, the cat survives. But both probabilities are equal, and supposedly both outcomes are true for the particle until you make the observation. Therefore, you can’t know whether the cat lived or died until you open the box to look! Indeed, according to quantum mechanics, the cat is simultaneously alive and dead until you open the box to see for yourself.
How does that make any sense? Well it doesn’t, and that’s the point Erwin Schrödinger was driving at. In our large scale, things like gravity and being one place at a time are things we take for granted. But on the quantum level, subatomic particles are governed by rules that seem completely paradoxical to us. And yet, we’re not talking about some alternate reality here. Those subatomic particles make up the atoms that make up us. Cats, boxes, bottles of poison, they’re all just a huge pile of subatomic particles, each following these seemingly nonsensical rules. They’re just organized in such a way that they give rise to bigger rules that make more sense to us. Things like classical mechanics, chemical reactions, cats liking to be inside boxes, and so on. As Erwin Schrödinger put it:
“It is typical of these cases that an indeterminacy originally restricted to the atomic domain becomes transformed into macroscopic indeterminacy, which can then be resolved by direct observation. That prevents us from so naïvely accepting as valid a "blurred model" for representing reality. In itself, it would not embody anything unclear or contradictory. There is a difference between a shaky or out-of-focus photograph and a snapshot of clouds and fog banks.”
In other words, we see the world as discrete outcomes. We read the black letters on the page, and not the indeterminate spaces in between, or the hazy, unfinished thoughts of the writer. That doesn’t mean the words on the page aren’t legitimate, or that the passing thoughts of the writer don’t exist. We have to accept the seeming contradiction of it.
So what does this have to do with Alucard? Well, Schrödinger (the furry, not the scientist) has the ability to be like one of these subatomic particles. Our were-boy probably can’t be literally everywhere, but he has this probability region of places where he can be, and it seems to cover at least half the world. He’s appeared in Brazil, London, Zorin Blitz’s psychic visions, and so on. He’s been shot twice in this story, but he just reappears like nothing happened to him at all. It’s not like he teleported away in the nick of time, either. We’ve seen his head burst open like a ripe melon. Like Schrödinger’s cat in the thought experiment, he can be alive or dead at any given moment, so killing him doesn’t actually matter. Warrant Officer Schrödinger can do all of this and he’s conscious of this ability. So as long as he’s aware of himself, he can observe himself and direct himself to be in any location he so chooses.
I would think getting shot in the face would interfere with this ability to control his power, but that’s probably where his werewolf nature comes in. Like the Captain, he can grow back from a nasty headwound, so that gives him time to picture himself someplace else, and in better health. Now that I think about it, that must have been a silver knife he used to cut his own head off.
So when Alucard drank all that blood, he drank Schrödinger’s too, and just like when he drank Rip van Winkle’s blood and got the power to fire that magic musket, Alucard absorbed Schrödinger’s ability to be “everywhere and nowhere”. Except that power only works when Schrödinger himself is conscious of it. And he’s not conscious of it anymore because he’s part of Alucard now. Alucard might figure out how to control this power, but until he does, he can’t choose a location and be in that one place. Instead, he’s “everywhere and nowhere” all the time. So he’s experiencing all of his past moments simultaneously, with no control over his current position.
That sounds bad, right? Well it gets worse. He drank all those other dead people’s blood too, so on top of his own perception, he has the perceptions of all 3 million plus of the souls he’s consumed. So that just further complicates matters. The bottom line is that Schrödinger’s ability is fundamentally incompatible with Alucard’s existence as a composite being made up of multiple absorbed lives.
And since Alucard can’t just cough up Schrödinger’s blood, it’s too late now. He’s got Schrödinger’s ability and he’s stuck with it, but he can’t control it, which means he just winks out of existence. As the Major puts it, he’s now neither live nor dead nor undead. He’s become like a series of imaginary numbers. You’ll need to look that one up on your own time, folks, I spent enough time talking about quantum mechanics.
And you have to hand it to Kouta Hirano, this is a really clever way to bring down an overpowered seinen manga protagonist. This whole time, all of these lower villains acted like they could just beat down Alucard if they applied enough brute force, but that was never going to get the job done. For the purposes of this story, Alucard has been, almost by definition, unbeatable. So the Major’s solution was to give him a new power, one that he would be unable to control. It wouldn’t kill him, but killing Alucard seems like a fool’s errand anyway. Instead, it just... makes Alucard go away, which is probably as close to destroying him as anyone could ever hope for. He might still be alive in some semantic sense, but he can’t carry out his duties to Hellsing and the Crown, so the Major seems to have at least brought down what Alucard is expected to be.
And there’s no way to stop it, because it’s already happened. Integra commands him to stay, but it’s useless. I like the way he signs off in the dub of the OVA, where he apologizes to Integra and says this is one order he cannot obey. It’s just out of his hands.
Then he vanishes, and all that’s left of Alucard is a bloody mark on the street, shaped like the Hellsing insignia on his gloves.
Wait, so does this affect Seras too, since she was Alucard’s servant vampire? Remember, way back in Chapter 1, Integra said that killing the head vampire would automatically kill any ghouls or vampires he creates. So maybe Seras is gone too?
Hell naw. Seras joins Integra in the Major’s command center, and she looks like she’s ready for some revenge. Does she know what’s just happened? I mean, she was furious at the Major to begin with, but she sensed Alucard’s return a while back when he floated up the Thames River. Surely she sensed her own vampire dad winking out of existence.
Meanwhile, Walter had a front-row seat for Alucard’s disappearance. At first he laughs with triumph. I guess he must be giddy with relief, since he wanted to kill Alucard, and for a minute there it looked like Alucard had him dead to rights. Imagine a guy’s about to murder you and then he just ceases to exist. But it doesn’t take long for Walter to realize how hollow this all is. He wanted to kill Alucard himself, and he bet everything just to get that one opportunity, and now he’s failed and he’ll never get another chance. His body is giving out and he’s betrayed everyone who ever cared about him and he’s got nothing to show for it.
Then Heinkel starts shooting at him with a sniper rifle. Yeah, she never left the battlefield after Walter killed Yumiko. The Captain stopped her from interfering before, but the Captain’s dead now and I guess she figures she’s got nothing to lose by trying again. And I suppose the sniper act proves she’s learned from Yumiko’s fatal mistake. Attacking Walter up close is dangerous.
At first, Walter seems to invite this. He even invites Heinkel to shoot him a few more times, as it’s a fitting punishment for a traitor. If you’ve only seen the TFS Abridged version of Hellsing, they actually use this as Walter’s death scene, but in the original version Walter takes a few bullets and then leaves. He says Heinkel can shoot him, but she doesn’t get to kill him. I don’t think she even heard him say that, but whatever.
Instead, he uses his wires to board the Major’s airship one last time.
So remember how the Major was protected from Integra by a reinforced glass barrier? Yeah, well Seras finds an 88mm cannon and shoots through it. It also shoots through the hull of his ship and rings a large bell on the outskirts of town. Right before she shoots, Integra orders Seras to “Search and Destroy” just like she always told Alucard. It’s kind of sad, but Seras has automatically succeeded her master as Integra’s weapon. I mean, it’s a triumph for Seras, but it comes at a heavy price for her. She’s probably too enraged by what’s happened to appreciate this moment on all these other levels, but there’ll be time for that.
So there’s no way the Major could survive a cannon like that at pointblank range, right? Wrong, the dude’s a fucking cyborg, and I guess Seras’ aim was a little off. I suppose the downside to using big-ass guns is that you have trouble aiming at small targets. Wait, no, what happened to all that “third eye” stuff from before? What’s wrong with you, Victoria?
Oh wait, she missed because she’s sad. Aw... :`(
So we knew the Major had to be something to have survived this long without aging, but we had already learned he wasn’t a vampire. He insists that he is still human, however, no different from a man with a pacemaker or an artificial limb. His mind remains his own, even if it should be a brain in a life support system or backed up on a computer. I’m not sure if either of these describes the status of the Major’s brain, but to his point, it doesn’t really matter. He describes himself as Alucard’s polar opposite. While Al is this beautiful monster who masquerades as a human, the Major is a human who resembles the grotesque form of a monster. I’m not body-shaming the dude, I’m just reporting what he’s saying. He’s taken a few fat jokes in stride, and I guess he’s got the same attitude about his cyborg body too. He doesn’t seem to care if others find this unpleasant, because it’s better than being a vampire with a diluted self.
Arguably, this whole campaign to destroy Alucard was the Major’s effort to prove his claim on being human. Alucard often said that only a human could defeat a monster like him, and the Major beat him, so doesn’t that prove he’s a human in the end?
So Integra whips out her other gun, the one she didn’t use to shoot at the Major’s glass case, and they start shooting each other at pointblank range. The Major’s a terrible shot, though, and yet somehow he manages to take out one of Integra’s eyes before she puts a bullet in his forehead. I still don’t understand how you can shoot someone in the eye and not kill them. Did the bullet just angle away from her brain or is the Major’s gun just really weak on stopping power?
Anyway, Integra’s shot kills the Major, but not right away, so I guess it’s not just his original brain in there. He’s just thrilled to have finally hit something after a lifetime of terrible marksmanship. It’s a fitting reflection of his win over Alucard, because he and the rest of Millennium were warriors who had never won a war before. In the end, I’m not sure the Major would have been disappointed if his plan had failed. He’d never won before, so I don’t think another defeat would have bothered him much. As it is, he dies contentedly, satisfied with his “good war”. What a shithead.
So yeah, we’ve got three more chapters to go and then we’re done. See you next time.

The black cloud that blocks my sight subsides as I slip into Spike’s memories. Then, I lose myself completely in Spike’s mind....
Enraged, I storm into my crypt. Slamming door behind me, I immediately begin smashing everything and anything in my reach.
“You bitch!” I scream to the ceiling and pick up the candle stand beside before throwing it to the far wall at full force. The glass holder shatter against the concrete and fall to the floor. “Wherever you are Glory,” I growl. “I’ll find you and make you pay!”
After Y/N left Glory’s mind and I ran to protect her, she screamed bloody murder before going mute. All I see are her traumatized eyes starring back at me. She won’t speak to anyone, look at anyone... What if I can’t fix her? What if I can’t get her back?
I pant, continuing my rampage as my rage grows. I punch the nearest pillar, making a giant gash. I look down my fist and bloody cuts consume my knuckles. Turning around, I slide down against the pillar to the floor. Tears fall from my eyes as I brings my knees close to his chest. I hang my head low, hiding my face from the world.
“I need her back…” I plead in a whisper, thinking of Y/N. “I need her...”
I snap back to reality, flying up from my laid position, panting for air. Spike is knelt before me, no longer touching me. He must’ve pushed me out by breaking free. He looks at me with a narrowed gaze, presumably waiting for my reaction. I didn’t mean to invade his memories. I just didn’t want him to leave me again.
“I’m… I’m sorry,” I stutter. “I didn’t mean to.”
Spike shakes his head, assuring me it’s alright. “Will that happen every time we touch?” He asks and I notice his hands resting inches from me on the bed.
I swallow hard, still a bit shaken from the insight. “Not if you shut me out.”
His brows scrunch together in confusion, but when we kissed, I didn’t feel you in my head,” he describes.
“That’s because uh... that’s because when you kiss someone you’re so zoned in on the sensation and your uh... your thoughts that you’re- in a way- isolated and internalized,” I explain what I’ve learned over the years.
“Is there a way you can prevent it from your end?” He questions, much to my surprise. “That way we don’t have a repeat of the hospital?”
“There is one way,” I explain with pause, unsure myself. “I’ve heard of psychics who’ve learned to manage it. Some can touch people without a problem. It’s complicated though. I tried to learning when I was with the coven, but I never mastered it. When I slip... it’s sort of like falling. I lose control and keep going deeper until something triggers me out.”
“Do you only see memories?” He rushes out eagerly, moving to sit on the edge of my bed. “How does it work?”
I prop myself up my elbows, shaking my head. “There are layers to it. It also depends on how open the recipient’s mind is to me. When I’m in your mind, I’m living through you basically. If I’m seeing old memories, then I relive them from your perspective. Seeing a memory is the easiest layer to reach. If you wanted me to experience a specific moment, you can project that by thinking of the memory. If I’m experiencing the world through you in the current moment, then that requires concentration of your side. You have to open your mind to me completely. It requires a lot of awareness and discipline because the mind is protective of itself, your first instinct is to kick me. When it comes to seeing your future, that’s highly complicated. I would have to navigate your mind and focus on channeling the images. For example, if I envision you ten years from now hard enough, I would see a flash of it,” I do my best to explain.
Spike leans to rest an arm over my legs. I shift under his touch, afraid I’ll slip.
“It’s okay!” Spike assures me, showing me how the fabric of his coat keeps our skin from touching.
I settle back down, relieved and subtly impressed that he’s already taking precautions.
“Is there a way you could do both?” He asks. “Be in the present moment but read what another is feeling or thinking?” He clarifies further.
Processing the seriousness of his request, I sit up, shifting to lean against my head board. He’s speaking of extremely sophisticated self-control. I’ve only ever heard of leading psychics mastering such skills. It would require immense self-awareness and discipline. People have spent months, years even, in Asia studying the methodologies. The leader of my coven visited the temples on her way to Australia last summer. When she came back, she taught me everything she learned. I tried the practices while in New York and gave up when it became too much. Every time I failed, I entered someone’s memories and saw all sorts of things.
“What?” He asks urgently, noticing my hesitation. “What is it?”
“I’ve... I’ve tried it,” I confess, growing nervous as I remember the constant trials, the countless hours.
There’s a glimmer of hope in his eyes, “how did you test it?”
“Practiced, had friends in the coven touch me and I would focus really hard on not falling in” I mutter, fiddling with the fabric of my blanket and avoiding his gaze.
He shifts closer to me eagerly, “could we try it?”
I know Spike is just trying to help me, to find a solution. Yet, he’s asking for too much. My friends in the coven tried the same thing! This won’t be a one time thing, I’ll fail on the first try. I experienced first-hand the frustration and obsession that forms from wanting control so badly, but failing on the way.
“I’ll fail,” I admit, certain of it. “I’m far too weak to channel that much power.”
“It’s okay if we don’t get it right the first time,” he encourages, reaching for my hand until he stops himself. “I don’t care how many times it takes! I want to do this with you! I want to be able to touch you, actually touch you!”
“Spike...” I exhale deeply.
Overwhelmed, I toss my comforter and climb out of bed. Spike moves out of the way, watching me pace the floor of my bedroom. He’s asking too much of me, of both of us! He’s offering up every aspect of his mind. Every memory, every thought, every emotion, there will be nothing left. In return, I would be accepting the possibility of seeing and experiencing events that could leave me worse off than I am now.
“It’ll take days, months, maybe even years!” I try to reason with him.
“I understand that,” he claims, still up for the idea. “If you’re afraid of what you may see, I’ll do everything I can to prevent the bad part from coming forward!”
I shake my head, it’s too risky. What if I become confused between reality and memory? I mean, it happened at the hospital with Glory! Then, there’s always the risk of falling in too deep and become obsessed with consuming power.
Spike rises from the bed and crosses the room, “it doesn’t hurt me! In fact, it does quite the opposite. When you’re in my mind it gives me a rush- if you can even call it that. It’s like weight off my shoulders,” he describes with a bright grin.
“That’s because I absorb a part of your energy,” I explain. “Everything you’ve ever felt I take a piece of it and carry it forever.”
“So when you saw me turn...” he frowns, beginning to piece everything together.
I nod, “I felt it and took some of the pain from you.”
“Bloody hell, Y/N!” He moves to reach for me, but again realizes his mistake and stops himself with a growl. Growing irritation etches across his features as he clenches his fist. “Why didn’t you tell me?!”
I scoff, is he serious? “Why do you think I was so emotional the other night? I was dealing with over a century of emotions!” I shout in defense.
“For God’s sake, how did you not explode or something?” He remarks, sounding both impressed and concerned.
“Umm, nearly fucking did,” I admit darkly.
He tilts his head back with a deep sigh in reaction to my words.
“I certainly did after Glory!” I add with a brief snicker, making light of the situation.
Spike doesn’t share my humor at the mention of Glory or of what happened. He snaps his head in my direction, looking into my eyes pleadingly. I don’t have the same optimism he has for this to work.
“We could at least try, Love,” he urges in a mutter.
“What must I say to make you understand?!” I snap uncontrollably, turning away from him. “You’re asking for the impossible! It’s like challenging gravity! It can’t be done!”
“But it can!” He yells, “you said so yourself! There are people out of there who’ve done it! We’ll go to them and we’ll do whatever it takes!”
“You don’t think I wish I were normal?!” I shout back. “Spike, I would give anything to be normal!” He forgets that I’ve been dealing with this my whole life. I pause, finding it hard not to cry. “To be able to touch you...” I whisper.
The room goes quiet as the two of us reach a crossroads of our opposition, perhaps now he’ll see that I’m not saying ‘no’ for the fun of it.
“You may not believe in yourself, but I do,” he confesses, breaking the silence. “You’re the greatest witchy-psychic I’ve ever met. If there’s anyone who can do it, it’s you.”
“You hold too much faith in me,” I reply, utterly broken.
“You’re the only thing I hold faith in...” he mumbles sorrowfully.
My lips part as I fall speechless. I would’ve never predicted him to say that.
Abruptly, Buffy storms into the room. “Spike!” she shouts, as though she was looking for him. Then, she notices me out of bed and functioning. “Y/N, you’re up!” She practically squeals and yells for everyone.
“Yes,” I reply plainly, starring Spike in the eye. “I’m back.”
Disappointment plagues his face, his eyes glistening with emotion. I don’t want to let him down, it’s the last thing I want to do. It’s true, I would do anything to be normal, to touch Spike and for us to be normal. However, as the universe has made, we’re not normal. I’m a ‘witchy-psychic’ and he’s a vampire, nothing about this is normal. It’s the most complicated affection I’ve ever felt toward another. Yet, I refuse to ever let it go.

Backstory/Background:
Past
Helmut Zemo was born into barony, in Germany in 1991. To parents, the elderly Heinrich and his wife Hilda. He was the only child of the two. Being slated to become the 13th Baron Zemo, and being an only child, Helmut's childhood, from an outward glance appeared to many to be a relatively easy and normal one. As a young boy he had developed certain interests in quite a few fields in which he would use in his actions later on in life. One being, an interest in acrobatics. Which his father had not approved of. His father was not a kind man overall. Often trying to treat Helmut like a miniature version of himself. Though, Helmut, awed by and loving of his father had tried his best to at least mind his father and not try to take too much of what his father would say in his personal interests to heart. Despite some despairing comments and harsh believes Heinrich did in his own way love Helmut, to a certain degree. His mother however, was much colder toward her son. Hilda would often strike Helmut if she did not get exactly what she desired out of him.
Both his parents were often prone to hitting him in order to communicate to him their disapproval and desire for him to adhere more to their own ways rather than veer on a different path. As A Zemo he had his whole life more or less completely laid out in front of him from the moment he was born. The fact that his parents were, by others, considered to be sick or twisted had never even been a thought in his mind at such a young and innocent age. Walking in on his fathers work and the degree in which he had displayed cruelty became something that Helmut would attribute to just being his father. At some point while growing up, Hilda dies and Heinrich is left to raise Helmut on his own. Though his father soon started showing just how unstable he had started to become. Then one day Heinrich left, abandoning Helmut at their estate. Raised by the staff through the next several years of his life, Helmut kept with his studies and lived life as a normal every day person. Who just so happened to be rich, and a bit royal.
As a young boy still Helmut grew up fascinated by heroes, one in particular being Captain America. As his own father had been distance, only keeping in bare minimum contact with him, Helmut had often been spoiled by his estate and those put in charge of taking care of him. With his family's bad reputation, even as a child, Helmut was feared. Not because the small boy was capable of bringing anyone who upset him harm, as much as Heinrich had the potential to make any one of them suffer. Helmut only would ever see his father on 'special occasions' he would say. Often meeting many other villains in his childhood and becoming friends with them or close in some manner or another. At one point he had been running around playing with one of the wait staff in his families Castle when he had suddenly run into the man known as Red Skull, Heinrich had not been far behind and grabbed Helmut, pulling him away and giving him a shake before starting to curse him out. Only for Red Skull to seemingly take an interest in the young child.
After this meeting, Helmut had felt slightly terrified by some of the other visitors to the castle he had called his home. Many of them enjoying teasing or taunting him. Or saying something horrid. Except for Red Skull, who, was more or less grooming the young boy, for a future leader of Hydra. Much of the reason for some of the teasing was that on some of these days Helmut would be in the meeting hall with his father, talking of super heroes he had read about recently. Heinrich would often say something about the hero in question that would make Helmut feel put off by the comment. But still loving of his father he took it all in stride, giving a shrug before he would run off to enjoy a play date with other children that would be brought with those who came to the castle. Then one day his father had returned home for a brief time. An incident had happened to Heinrich which had left him with a mask clued onto his face. For many days Helmut would stand outside his fathers room listening to the older man screaming in agony.
He found it to be unbearable, for the most part, listening to it day in and day out. Then, when Heinrich would finally be at ease and start to rest Helmut would often pay his visit. Talking with his father about how he would hope the other would get well soon and that maybe they could do an activity together. Heinrich would never reply in words, but in agonized groans. Which only upset Helmut more than he would admit. Then, after weeks of recovering, Heinrich had finally showed his face. Seeing the mask that had stuck to his fathers face scared the young Helmut, enough that upon seeing his father he would turn and run away from the other before they could make him stick around. After some time Heinrich once again left, however. Abandoning Helmut yet again and moved to South America from then on, till the time he had died. After this incident no more villains came to visit, and Helmut was one more left to his own devices. He would go to school and come home and hang out with his friends. That was his life.
Most of his friends were often their because he was rich and his family was well known in Germany for their barony and of course, nefarious activities. Helmut however remained a mannered young man. But would often at times dip into some manipulative behavior. As he had a fascination with how the human mind worked. For the most part these acts of his and tests were mostly harmless. That was until on day while pointing out a boys need for attention because his mother was an abusive alcoholic and his father was a druggie who was sent to jail for murder and that the boy would never be able to achieve anything outside of those prospects in his own life, the boy retaliated by cutting Helmut's throat open with a previously concealed pocket knife. After this near brush with death Helmut had decided to lay off analyzing real life people at that point in time. Though he did put his focuses on his acrobatics and engineering. Two things he thoroughly enjoyed for the most part. Despite being teased for his acrobatics.
When leaving the hospital and returning back to his private school Helmut noticed the boy who had attacked him had disappeared. Though thought nothing off it, until years later. As he grew older Helmut developed a crush on a girl in his grade named Heike. She was the first to approach him, taking notice of his observing her. Asking him out on a date, he agreed. So, he and Heike became boyfriend and girlfriend. Helmut was often the more submissive, in appearance anyway, of the two. As he would rather sit back and observe and Heike would rather initiate things. Their first kiss, she had initiated after dragging him out to watch a sport she was interested in. Helmut and Heike stayed with one another until they graduated when Heike had told Helmut she had wished to marry him. Helmut agreed. In the following months the two prepared their wedding, while Helmut also prepared to go to college. Heike had decided to take the year off, to find herself. Within a year of their graduating the two were married and starting their life together.
Helmut got into studying engineering at the college of his choice. As well, he had been, as a baron, consigned to the army. Moving to base Helmut had his hands full with a wife and school. Though he had proved to be adept in his training and balanced it well with his courses. A year after they were married Heike told Helmut she was expecting. Helmut was nervous at first. Though as the months went by he grew to accept this new event in his life, often talking with Heike about what to name the boy. As well, talking of how they would raise their son. Though training and school work soon entirely consumed Helmut. He was rarely seen at home leading up to the birth of his son, Helmuth. Though had managed to arrive home from a mission in time to see the birth of his son. Promising Heike he would never miss it, not for anything. Making due on his promise and letting Heike rest Helmut named their son, and held him for the first time, in awe of what he had created. It reminded him however, of his father. It had been years since he had even heard from the other.
For a week or so the family got settled. But soon enough Helmut was again sent out to another mission by the army. Out near where he had last his father to have been Helmut went AWOL for a short time from his band to go visit his father in his stronghold. While he was there he only got to briefly meet with his father, before needing to had back to camp. Days after his visit however, a report came in to his team that Heinrich had been killed by Captain America. Frozen for a moment, he felt the eyes of his team land on him. He hid his rage well enough. But as he continued to conduct missions with his team, his rage began slipping out against those he had been sent to hunt down. Eventually Helmut started to invest more into his fathers own footsteps. Taking on an alias for a brief period known as The Phoenix, Helmut goes on to capture Captain America, on his own. Condemning super soldiers for what Captain America had done, he had sought to get revenge against the one that was the face of them, all in the name of getting revenge for his fathers death.
However, his plans failed to fight against both Captan America and The Falcon, ultimately he presumably fell into a vat of substance known as Adhesive X, which had been created by, no one other, than his own father. Thought to be dead, Helmut had at this time escaped arrest and soon emerged from the Adhesive X, disfigured entirely. After this point, consumed in his anger still he went back to lick his wounds, covering his face with his trademark purple mask. When asked about it he told his team it was a piece of equipment he was trying out. However, when his wife asked about it, he could not lie to her. Angered by her husbands reckless and stupid behavior she chastised him and promised she loved him and not just for his face when he insecurely asked if she hated the way he had looked. Helmut, despite her answer, set out to find a way to fix what had been done to his skin. Eventually finding away to cut off the damaged skin and heal naturally with some experimentation's he conducted on himself. He was able to fully correct his appearance back to it's original self.
Still dawning the mask however, even years later, Helmut was soon approached by a much older Red Skull who told Helmut that he had been dying. But that he wants to destroy Captain America before that happens. Recruiting Helmut into helping him out, of course the Baron agrees, still angered by what happened with his father and wanting revenge. It is in this team up that Helmut also learns that Red Skull is not happy to have only had a daughter that would inherit his empire. The team Red Skull put together does end up kidnapping, torturing, and tormenting Captain America's friends. Though he also has several of the villains fight over who will take Leadership of Hydra when he is gone at this time as well. In a battle wiht Mother Superior it is made to look as though Helmut has been killed by her, Red Skull goes Sike and tells Mother Superior he never planned for his daughter to be leader of Hydra. Then announces to Helmut that ever since he met the young boy he had put into motion Helmut’s succession as Leader of Hydra.
Though Helmut tries to reject this appointment, having gotten a sufficient revenge for the most part. As he realizes that his father was not a very good man, himself. Leaving Mother Superior and Red Skull then he returns back to his duties with the army. Joining his squad once more, taking the mask off and leaving it tucked away until he needed it next. The following years Helmut stuck to commanding a paramilitary tactical unit and working as an engineer. Supporting his family, Helmut eventually graduated and was able to spend more time with his wife and son. For the most part he ignored all the super hero nonsense outside of his missions. For a time his life was what he would have called, perfect. If not for an incident happening. One that would ultimately change his course entirely. While visiting one of his families old estates in the Nation of Sokovia, Helmut had been out with his wife and son. Needing to go take care of some things nearby.
However, before he was able to leave his son stopped him, holding onto him tightly and asking about a light in the sky. Looking over toward the situation that was unfolding in the nearby city of Novi Grad, he grinned a bit before glancing back down toward his young son and telling him that it was Iron Man and that he was probably protecting the people of Novi Grad from a very bad man. Then, saying his goodbyes for the moment to his son and wife, he promised them he would return soon enough. Then set out to join his task force on their mission in Sokovia. Believing his family to be safe in the estate Helmut thought nothing of it as he left to help defend Sokovia that day. However, this would have been the last time he would ever see his son and wife alive again. The destruction that had followed the Avengers battle with Ultron had left what remained of Novi Grad an absolute wasteland. Two days after the battle, Helmut managed to finally pick through most of the rubble of his estate. Still not being able to contact his wife and son, of course.
Not until those two days later when he would find their bodies in the rubble, confirming what he had feared the most, they had been killed. Enraged, Helmut began to hate the Avengers and decided to get revenge on them for their 'disregard of innocent lives'. Vowing to disband them entirely. Though, being just a mere human he had to control his anger and and plan accordingly. So he did. His meticulous planning would lead him to one Vasily Karpove, who had been a leader of the Winter Soldier Program. As well as a member of Hydra. Seeing the man as inconsequential, Helmut dispatched the other and after torturing Karpov, found the Winter Soldier Book in Karpov's Hydra files. Before then demanding more files on the assassination of Maria and Howard Starks assassination in 1991. You know, politely. After getting the information he needs he uses it to frame Bucky Barnes for the bombing of Wakandan King, T'Chaka. Making sure this event lined up with the signing of Sokovia Accords, as well. Then, luring Theo Broussard to his hotel, he murders the man and steals his identity.
Soon he came face to face with Bucky Barnes, who had been by then, captured and placed in the Joint Counter Terrorist Centre Building. Posing as Broussard he was aware he was being watched by others at the centre. He deceptively managed to evaluate Bucky's mind while waiting for the signal to continue on with the next stage of his plans. When the power for the building eventually went off, which cut power to the cameras watching them as well, Helmut quickly made the move to conduct the next part of his plans. This being, the reactivation of Bucky’s Winter Soldier Programing by Hydra. With Bucky under his control and now free from his confinements he asked of the mission report to Howard Stark’s death. Having gotten the information, as well as that of the remaining Winter Soldiers he intended to use in his plans, next, Helmut sends Bucky to go distracts anyone who attempted to stop him before he got into a helicopter and escaped, knowing that his exist would prove his involvement in the death of T'Chaka and bombing would be used as evidence against him.
As Bucky is off obeying his orders, Helmut feigns having been attacked by Bucky, for his cover to work. However, Captain America and Falcon confront him while Bucky is distracted. With Steve questioning him about what happened, Helmut says his famous line of 'Wanting to see an Empire Fall.' And all the fangirl’s wet themselves forevermore. Anyway, Steve plans to take Helmut into custody but before he could Bucky enters the scene once more and attacks Steve and Sam. Curious after Steve is thrown down an elevator shaft, Helmut looks to see if the fall killed Steve. His old childhood fascinations rekindling briefly in awe of what he managed to see... Though he was unable to observe too long as Sam had once more come to and started chasing him as he fled. Though he had eventually managed to escape Sam.
Arriving in Siberia it appears as though Helmut has planned to awaken the five remaining winter soldiers of the program, that had up till then in a cryostasis, and left that way. With little motivation needed, he listened to the voice of his dead wife, via a voice message on his phone. To remind him what he was doing all these things for. Making another call he set up the hotel to find Theo's body the next morning and to allow for his true identity to be known, thus having them follow him. Which he would then enact the final part of his plans. Soon he arrives at the Hydra facility where the soldiers have been kept. Helmut then waited for Steve and Bucky to arrive, as he had waited he killed the five soldiers by shooting them in the head. Before then sealing himself in a room to wait for the others to arrive. As Tony, Steve, and Bucky finally decided to show up, Helmut had to be dramatic and show them what he had done. As he was questioned about his actions Helmut revealed to Steve that he had planned this for a year.
In that year Helmut had studied everything about them all. Especially him. Then he flirts with Steve a bit by commenting on the green in Steve’s blue eyes being a flaw. Steve quickly came to the conclusion that Helmut was part of the incident in Sokovia in some way. Bringing up then that this was some sort of revenge, for him. As the first time Helmut and Steve had met, Helmut had been wearing his mask and going by a different alias at the time. Steve had no idea of his past connection to Helmut aside from the awareness that he had killed Helmut’s father. Helmut revealed that, even before The Avengers, Sokovia was a failed state. Then he reveals his reason for being their was because of a promise. Then informed Steve that because of The Avengers, he had lost everyone he lost everyone he cared about. Then he gives a speech as he puts the video he had on, talking of empires can only be completely destroyed from within. After Tony sees the video he then attacks Bucky, and Steve tries to stop them.
As the three fought one another Helmut stealthily escapes the bunker he was hiding behind in the scuffle and made his way outside to wait for the battle between the two factions to come to it's conclusion. Content with the current outcome however he again listens to his wife's voice via voicemail, one last time. Then he deletes it, ready to die. However, he is distracted when T'Challa finds him. The two talk about what he did to T'Chaka and how it almost misguided T'Challa. Despite T'Challa attempts, however, Helmut resigns to try and shoot himself, only for T'Challa to stop him just in time, an subdue Helmut. Now arrested Helmut is charged for his crimes against the Avengers and was himself placed in confinement where he is mocked and taunted by Everett Ross. With threats of electrocution if he so much as spoke too loudly in protest. When asked how he felt about his plans failing Helmut shot back with a "Did it?" For a time Helmut remained in confinement. But had managed to get free of this by the help of other villains.
Once he has been freed, he once again takes up his mask and starts a group called Masters of Evil. Nothing much eventful happens during this time, mostly just more fighting with random heroes and even The Avengers and more specifically, Captain America. This period ends with Helmut trying to attack Captain America and missing, ultimately falling off a roof. After a couple months of recovering from this incident and slipping some more into madness. Helmut starts to become obsessed with bringing his dead wife and son back to life. Which leads him to ally with others once more, in a quest to collect pieces of something called a Bloodstone. Which apparently has the ability to bring the dead back to life. However. Captain America yet again gets between him and his goals, at least half way through. As Helmut is about to raise his dead son back from the dead before he can complete the task he is interrupted and his son reverts back to being dead. As well, still too weakened and greatly injured from his fall off the mansion, Helmut is too weak to try again.
Again, he joins up with his Masters of Evil bros and again starts doing crime and fighting The Avengers and anyone else who gets in his way. He also starts another team while still running his old one, called The Thunderbolts. Taking on the new identity of Citizen V. With the Thunderbolts Helmut tried to gain the worlds trust so that he could then take it over. But, the people liked the team so much that Helmut and everyone else in the team actually started liking being heroes. Though when the old Heroes inevitably returned from the Onslaught crisis, Helmut also leaked everyone's former Villain identity's to the world. Which made them all have to escape to space and help him still try and take over the world. Because why not, why the fuck not just ruin shit for fun. Clearly these are early signs of Helmut's fall into complete madness, the like of which are probably the same as his father and fathers father, before him. Though, shocker, The Thunderbolts weren't cool with any of this and rebelled against Helmut which forced him to go into hiding.
There, in hiding, Helmut started to plot revenge on his former team. Who were at that point trying to win back humanity's favor and trust by actually being heroes, what a bunch of losers, right? Helmut thought so. However! Helmut didn't have much time to think about any of that because Captain America came to ruin his revenge yet again. Then, being killed by the Scourge, Helmet's mind was transferred over to a bio-moden so you can see, Helmut's a very busy bee. Even if you know, it wanton killing of him to make him to some alien thing or whatever. Where he is then made to be John Watkins the third, who is the grandson of whoever in the fuck the original Citizen V is. Now in his new body, Helmut went back to playing his Citizen V alias yet again. Shit happens, we got fights, we got everything you could ever want. Even Helmut’s consciousness being removed from John, oop. He's now in a tech-pack...?!?
Soon his min is transferred into an AU version of himself, who is using the Alias of Iron Cross. Now, back in a body, Helmut again takes leadership of the Thunderbolts, the ones from the AU, not the mains verse ones. Okay? Then he lost leadership...Some shit happens. Hawkeye becomes leader of it. Some more shit happens. A lot of other shit happens. He's leader of the Thunderbolts again. Then he tried to take over the world gain. This time however it's because he wants to save it? He's clearly just falling deeper and deeper into madness. A teammate of his goes a bit berserk and in an attempt to protect Captain America, he gets blasted by the teammate. After this Helmut leaves the team and takes the Moonstone's twin alien gems, two artifacts great power. Only to again show back up, fuck around and find out. Fuck up some shit between other factions of heroes, Harass some of the new Thunderbolts. Though he did some good. He stopped Genis-Vell after his powers went out of wack. Of course, he's also the reason they went bonkers, anyway, Helmut decided death was better for Genis.
Then he seemingly saves the world from an alien threat. Fought the cosmic powers of the twin gemstones he stole earlier. Then he dies while saving the world. Or seemingly so. But is actually sent back into the past to see that...holy shit, all his ancestor’s are kind of the fucking worst. Though he manages to finally return back to his time. Only changing...well, probably a lot of the future honestly, by this trip. But Helmut learned a lot in the centuries he traveled around in, watching his family members throughout them. Even got in a fight with his own father in the past about his bullshit. Heinrich very nearly killed Helmut but the little devil, he escapes in the nick of time back to the present time. Upon his arrival he was created by a cousin, distant cousin, who was planning on killing him. Though the little coward couldn't go through with it so decided he should die instead. Helmut stopped him though. When asked why Helmut had stopped him from killing himself, Helmut told Wendell that too much Zemo blood had been spelt.
Helmut then invited his cousin to be in evils with him and to fight by his side so that he could prove a point. It's definitely not slipping farther into madness. Not one bit. Some more shit happens. Not too much happens for a hot minute. Still disguised with his ever present mask, Helmut runs into Bucky Barnes, who is now the new Captain America. Annoyed by this turn of events Helmut attacks Bucky because he's 'ruining his fathers legacy' or some nonsense. The man has clearly lost all sense of reality. He recruits some people to help him. He then injures Falcon. Before sending Jurgen to attack Bucky while he's at the hospital, being drugged by nanites that was slipped into a martini of his. Bucky, you are having TOO much fun, calm down. Soon enough the nanites are neutralized however. Then Helmut leaked to everyone like the gossip girl that he is "Hey! HEY everyone, this Captain America's a PHONY! It's actually, BUCKY BARNES. The Winter Soldier. BOOO!". His makes Bucky have to face Helmut face to face in a battle.
Some more crazy and wild shit happens. Helmut ultimately wins the fight against Bucky. Who is then put on trial for his crimes by the government. Helmut’s not done yet, because he's lost his ever loving mind of course. He does all kinds of fucked up crazy ass shit for a minute. Even so much as learning about some Fear God his father was fucking around with in Egypt. With another villain Helmut tries to find some hammer but this partner ends up shooting Helmut's teleportation device and steals his ship, stranding him in the desert. He then does this whole villainy speech about his partner having made a new enemy of him. That's cute...anyway! He then goes after Hawkeye for a minute. Be we don't care. Congrats to Hawkeye on the mentor and brother. But we don't have TIME for that. Helmut again has to get revenge on Captain America, now Stever Rogers again. So he's just going to do that. WE already know what's going to happen. NOT much. Not much happens at all. Except for Helmut seems to die in an explosion, but everyone is not convinced as much.
Some time after the explosion Helmut wakes up with amnesia and has no clue who he once was. He is now residing in the town of Pleasantville (Hill? who gives a fuck.). Where everyone is so nice! So nice until you k--Ahem. Anyway. He knows something wrong with this place. When he tries to escape but finds he is unable. That is because he has been in a coma for several months, now. Since the explosion. As well, he has been returned back to his prison cell in Germany. There he waits out the remains couple of years, recovering from his vegetative state(And placed in a simulation with the help of SHIELD in an attempt to ‘REFORM’ him, along with other criminals who are also trapped in the simulation). Still having little to no memories returning to him outside of most of his life before starting his latest stints into villainy. This has left him a bit more withdrawn and more like his former self. Helmut hears news about The Snap in his cell, But other than this he knows nothing of what is going on outside of his prison walls.

((THE FALCON AND WINTERS SOLDIER SPOILERS HAPPEN AT THIS POINT. I’m NOT TAGGING THEM OR PUTTING THEM UNDER A READ MORE, if you don’t want to see them SKILL Till next DOUBLE BRACKETS! THIS has been your warning. TFATWS Spoilers))
That is until the day Bucky comes to visit him. Testing Bucky, He repeats the phrases from the book, to see if they still work. Finding out that they do not he takes note of this change with the other as they explain as much, then revealed he had already known about it.
Continuing his observations Helmut eyes Bucky closely, still seeing a bit of his former self inside. Soon, the subject is changed, though Helmut tells Bucky about how he had the pleasure of being frozen during most of his captivity. While he did not. When Bucky says his time wasn't pleasant, Helmut offers an apology for framing Bucky. Which seem to be nothing more than manipulation on Helmut’s part. But it's not. The two then stage his break out from the prison and after this Sam and Bucky start arguing about him being free. Helmut again tries to apologize, but in turn also yelled at. So he just smiles and watches the two quietly, letting them both finish their little fits with each other. Once they finally get down to business Helmut takes them both on a fancy trip in his to his fancy estate where he picks up some of his things. Including a mask that was the same as the one he had lost in the explosion years before. Which Bucky and Sam make the connection to with a some what small time villain they faced in the past. Helmut and Sam have a bit of a chat about what Helmut plans to do. Then they all fuck off and clown around for a bit.
At some point they finally get around to actually very nearly completing the mission when John Walker shows up and cuffs him. Moments later he breaks free and goes to find the serums that Karli's group plans to use for their nefarious deeds. Helmut can't have none of that though. So, injuring Karli and knocking the vials over, Helmut realizes exactly what he's knocked over and starts smashing the vials, gleefully. However, he does manages to procure one secretly. As he is smashing the others, though John interrupts him, hurling Captain America's shield into the side of his head, knocking him the fuck out and thankfully not killing little Helmy. Unconscious, he is taken back to the safe house where his head wound is taken care off. Though for the most part, Helmut is out of commission. But not completely put out that he doesn't continue drinking, because why stay sober when you’re going to be locked up for life, am I right? He had been getting pretty much tipsy the entire mission with Sam and Bucky always bickering and being pricks to him. He needed him some drinkies in order to deal with....all ...of that.
While in the middle of his latest attempt to drown out all that's happened since the deaths of his wife and son, John Walker comes barging in and demands him to be handed over. Helmut remains quiet, though is getting a bit fed up with being treated like everyone's new chew toy. Not long after that the Dora Milaje show up and they all start getting in a fight. Taking something to drink Helmut sees this as an out and fucking leaves, bye, you dumb motherfuckers. After this Helmut gets away for a bit and manages to go back to Sokovia, contemplating yet again, killing himself. But by now, all that raw anger he had felt before had faded into a numbness that left him nothing more than cold. Helmut, realizing that Bucky has finally come for him goes on to admit that he forgives Bucky, and that he's marked his name out of Bucky's list. Then he is soon escorted away by Ayo and the others to be taken to RAFT. Where they all would hope he would spend the rest of his days.
En route to Raft on the Wakandan ship that’s transporting, with the Dora Milaje making sure he makes no escape, Helmut is chained and remains cuffed, to the ship as a means to keep the average human man from doing anything. Though, part way through the escort the ship was attacked, by an entity powerful enough to tear right through the whole of the ship, despite it’s being built taught, destroying it’s engines. Which then nose dived into the vast ocean around them. Rendering the craft entirely useless and sinking. As water flooded into the cabin, Ayo had a decison to make. Staring at the secured down Helmut, she decided to abandon the fastly sinking aircraft, keeping the chained Helmut there to die. With a disguesed look on her face saying “The world isn’t going to miss another evil white man”. Taking her injured warriors then they fled the ship. Soon being rescued afterword, but having lost the location of their aircraft they decided to regroup.
((Spoilers Stop Here, now back to just making shit up!))
As the ocean waters started to overtake the ship Helmut quickly worked at freeing himself from his confines, removing each cuff that kept him secured to the ship hastily and, then digging through his pockets he found the hidden vial of serum he had secured earlier. Thinking about injecting it for a moment, he decides against it, instead just swallowing the vial in it’s entirety to keep it from falling into anyone else’s hands, and in some scant hope that he could get out of the sinking airship. Diving down he tried to swim out of the hole that was made. But continued to be pushed back. Running out of space and air Helmut soon enough lapsed back into a fit of desperation and madness. Ultimately resulting in his disillusioned final attempts to get free of drowning to death, scratching at the interior of the ship, till his fingers were raw and the water was flooding over his head, filling out any remains of space and air in the cabin.
Several months later the aircraft was finally recovered, along with Helmut’s body. Which was transfered to a facility. As it had not decayed in a way they had imagined it to have done. Most of it had remained, paled in death, but intact. He looked as though he had just been alive, if not for being cold and stiff in death. As well as the nibble marks that had marred his body where his bones could be seen. A few tests were run on his corpse to find that a foreign chemical had been coming off Helmut’s skin. That chemical being the very same thing that he had used years before to heal his disfigured, melted skin. Kept on ice none the less Helmut remained in this blacksight facility for several years, being a subject of experiments and tests, before his body was stolen.
Months after his boy was taken from the unknown facility, Helmut was revived and healed of his injuries. Struck however by another bout of amnesia, Helmut spends the months following this regaining his memories yet again. As he also realizes who has brought him back to life. Hydra, wishing once again to make him their new leader. To bring back their ‘greatness’ once again. Starting to decline Helmut is threatened, and subsequently comes to realize that as easily as one of them could bring him back to life, they could easily end it as well. In the past he would have, of course, chosen death. But with his being revived he thinks back to yet again bringing his wife and son back to life. With proof that it can be done, Helmut agrees to lead Hydra, for now. Even if that means their life would be tethered to anothers, in the end. Like his was now.
Wearing his iconic mask once again, Helmut expertly becomes the new leader of the reformed HYDRA. Though, in apparently slips of madness he has HYDRA do petty crimes and missions they are ultimately doomed to fail, in fighting against The Avengers, in order to keep HYDRA in is current state from manifesting once more into it’s old ways that were close to another faction in the history books. Helmut is deemed an effective but questionable leader by the rest of HYDRA who at times thinks he’s planning for them to fail in their endeavors to take over the world and spread evil. Though Helmut’s scheme’s always seem like they might work, overall. Helmut is however, not always pretending he’s going insane. As he is gradually losing parts of his sanity and going mad, dealing with the New HYDRA and it’s members.
This is shows more definitely after he and Captain America have a battle with one another, yet again. Coming face to face. The two battle near a vat of Helmut’s Adhesive X. When Steve throws his shield at the glass container, it busts open, and the Adhesive X spills onto Helmut’s mask, gluing it to his face, as it had done so to his father all those years before. Injured, Helmut retreats to his HYDRA Base.
Future
Fails to revive his son and wife. Falls deeper into his madness. Finally is freed from the tether that keeps him alive, without dying himself. Is arrested and sentenced to life in prison. Which isn’t very long because he gets killed for being annoying. By mutant. OR Maybe. Who knows. What happened to the vial you ask!? Flashbacks. Multiple choice. WHO KNOWS! Choose your own adventure, with Helmut Zemo!!~

Superpowers I Like
An ongoing list of superpowers i like. most from superpower wiki, the stuff in () are my thoughts, the rest from the website’s linked. sometimes powerlisting changes the names so if the link doesnt work let me know ad i’ll update.
Let me know if you use any and tag me in the fics you write!
Geometric Physiology
Transform yourself or objects into any shape
Universal Irreversibility
Ability to render an action impossible to be stopped, blocked, manipulated, and reversed
Talpidae Physiology
can mimic/transform into talpids, including the moles, shrew moles, desmans, and other intermediate forms of small insectivorous mammals.
Earth Weaponry
can create or wield weaponry with power over earth, which grants the user a wide variety of earth-based abilities
Transcendent Demonic Mage Physiology
The power to use the abilities of demon of godly arcane powers.
Tooth Fairy Physiology
Can transform into and perform acts the tooth fairy does. (Rip out the teeth of your enemies. control every tooth in the room. could also be strengthened to control bone? maybe?)
Psychic Food Manipulation
The ability to manipulate psychic food/edible substances. (technically, animals are edible, people technically.. like this has so much room for creativity)
Contact Force Defiance
can ignore contact forces, forces that require contact with something, like a surface of the ground or an object. They can defy contact forces and not need to make contact with the surface, or interact with objects from a distance without touching them. Like magnets that don’t want to touch.
Life Connection
User is connected to any/all life and living things, so that as long as they exists life does as well. This allows them to have both an emotional and spiritual link to every form of life, so if the target feels pain or is injured all living things would feel the same pain and/or possibly gain the same wounds as the user. If the user ever dies or is killed then life itself may cease to exist as well. Reader needs a bodyguard??
Fine Interaction
The user can interact with anything that that is microscopic, no matter how small it may be, allowing the user to interact with them as if they were objects or surfaces, possibly even causing macroscopic effects if skilled. This can include viruses, diseases, microbes, atoms, molecules, particles, superstrings, etc. reader is a heart surgeon.
Snake Den
The user can project numerous snakes from their body to eject poison into the target, project snakes as projectiles to attack or otherwise send them to the target.
Chi Manipulation
The user can create, shape, and manipulate chi. By learning to harness this inner latent energy, they can gain superhuman capabilities and use them in cases of extreme combat. Some examples include physically manifesting all of their inner strength and unleashing it through sheer force of will
Dimensional Storage
The user can put items/beings into a separate dimension for safekeeping and can summon them back with relative ease.(I really like this one)
Liquid Transmutation
User can transform any/all liquids, whether organic or inorganic, into any other fluid/liquid and change a liquids inherent properties such as turning water into acid or even make something like soda poisonous. Any liquids transformed by this power would have all the properties of the liquid they become.
Replication
User can instantly and perfectly replicate themselves and/or targets which can be objects or living beings, numerous times, while usually being able to recombine the clones. Most users have both of these abilities (if subconsciously), copying their clothes/equipment along with their body. Original target will normally be able to maintain control over all copies.
Reactive Adaptation
Users can either instantly develop powers or abilities to deal with threats or their bodies dynamically learn from experience. Depending on the user's control of the power or genetic structure, the reactive effects can be permanent or temporary.
Self-Sustenance
Users physical needs are greatly reduced or completely removed. These needs include air/breathing, sleep/rest, food, drink, bodily evacuations, shelter from environmental effects and their lack (heat/cold, dryness/wetness), etc. The user is also able to stay immobile without the normal effects this would have.
Technology Manipulation
User can create, shape, and manipulate technology and technological constructs, computers, robots, hardware, and other devices that can be termed as "technology." Manifested as a special form of electrical/telekinetic manipulation, a special form of "morphing" which allows physical interaction with machines, or even a psychic ability that allows mental interface with computer data.
User can control the flow of intricate machinery, and assemble or disengage their programming at will and operate most technology at distance. A variation of Electricity Manipulation, they control specific electrons and instructs them which items to engage or disengage and may be able to use the electric impulses to gently control smaller metal parts
Matter Ingestion
The user can eat any substance without harmful effects, regardless of what they consume. They can consume matter in any form - solid, liquid or gas.
(maybe what they eat gives them energy, maybe like how Natsu can eat flames?)
Persuasion
can compel people by speaking, the victims are unable to disobey; the seemingly cogent commandment is far too compelling. At a high level, users can persuade people into hurting/killing themselves or even flip around sense of logic, but can never cause victims to achieve what they are not capable of.
(maybe user has to work up and strengthen it to be able to persuade peoples to do bigger things)
Anatomical Liberation
User can split their own body apart into pieces and control the said pieces however they wish, by levitating them away from the user's main body and using them as they were connected to the user.
User is immune to cutting and being slashed because they can just pull their bodies back together again. They can also remove their own organs without dying and will neither bleed to death nor die if their brain or heart is removed.
Omnilingualism.
User can speak, write, understand and communicate in any language, including computer codes, languages they have never been heard before, sign language (even lip-reading), illegible words, and backwards speech and writing with little or no training. The user may even communicate with non-human animals or read body language.
Item duplication
user is able to mimic and replicate the objects of others around oneself, and be able to use those objects as one's own.
Darkness Manipulation
User can create, shape and manipulate darkness and shadows. By itself, darkness is mostly used to cloud everything into total darkness, but by accessing a dimension of dark energy it can be channeled to a variety of effects, both as an absence of light and a solid substance: one can also control and manipulate the beings that exist there, create and dispel shields and areas of total darkness, create constructs and weapons, teleport one's self through massive distances via shadows, etc.
Density Manipulation
User can manipulate density, which is defined as mass per unit of volume. This allows them to alter solidity, change the size of substances, create or destroy matter/mass in a volume, change inertial resistance (mass), make things intangible, either strengthen or weaken gravity, concentrate or expand matter, or create pressure differences in a fluid (gas, liquid, plasma) to induce a current and possibly use it to move solids.
Some users might even be able to control electrical charge density, which is the amount of electric charge per unit volume. This would, in turn, enable them to manipulate electromagnetic fields. Control over population density might also be possible for some users as well.
Luck
The user is gifted with an automatic and continuous supply of good luck, most have no control over this power as things considered "lucky" randomly and unexpectedly happens to them despite any predestined fate or logical reason. Ergo, nothing bad will happen or if it does, their power will sort it out no matter how impossible the situation is or how high the odds are against them, allowing the user to always be in complete context in whatever situation they are, be free to do as they please without consequences, and be untouched and ineffective to the laws of causality.
All aspects of user's life improve drastically: work, social, romantic, personal, financial, school, and basically life as a whole would become easier, happier, and would excel altogether.
Paralysis Inducement
Users can immobilize the target completely or partially, causing them to be left without movement and sensation. Making motor functions and muscle movement unavailable, the victim may freeze on the spot or crumple to the ground.
Pain Infliction
Pain Infliction is the ability to inflict horrible pain on others with the mind. It is triggered by pointing one's hand at a target, who will be overwhelmed with pain. The pain is described as a thousand tiny blades stabbing the brain. The pain will instantly vanish once the user loses concentration.
Prehensile Muscles
User can make their muscles stretch/extend and hold/manipulate objects like an extra limb. (could be like tendrils)
Liquid Mimicry
user can morph their body into a liquid state, is made up of or can transform their body completely into liquid substances. A user's transformed form is anatomically identical to their normal form, aside of being made of liquid, in which case it contains all to organs and is somewhat vulnerable to attacks. Alternately the user can transform into homogeneous matter, without any part of their form being more important than the other.
Animal Morphing
User with this ability either is or can transform into animals, whether partially or completely, as well as use the abilities, traits and appearance/physiology of animals by rearranging their own DNA structure. They are able to transform into animals that exist, alien animals and/or animals that are extinct, such as Dinosaurs.
User may have this ability from an empty genetic code, allowing them to accept any form from which they have a DNA sample, others may be able to alter their form mentally and change just by seeing and mimicking animal features.
Life-Force Absorption
The user can absorb life-force/energy, vitality and health, while removing it from the source, into their body and use it in various ways, gaining some form of advantage, either by enhancing themselves, gaining the drained power, using it as power source etc., either temporarily or permanently.
Weapon Hands
User can transform parts of their body to form a weapon of their choice onto their hands and forearms, possibly their biceps, triceps, and shoulders.
Vision Manipulation
The user has complete control over the vision of oneself and others. They can enhance, reduce or remove them temporarily or permanently, protect them from being overwhelmed, cause the target to see things that aren't there or prevent them from seeing things that are, cause/remove sensory ailments, etc.
Tactile Teleportation
User can teleport objects and/or beings through physical contact, the user can transfer them to any location they desire as long their in physical contact with the object/being
Disease Manipulation
The user can create, manipulate, shape, transform, cause/heal, etc. all forms of diseases, including their severity, contagiousness, methods of spreading, etc. They can control the organisms that spread diseases, including germs, bacteria, virus, or other pathogens on a cellular level, including bacteriophages, microorganisms (microscopic organisms), retroviruses, cells that abnormally grow to make cancerous tumors and cysts, and pathogens that produce genetic mutations
Morality Manipulation
The user can manipulate morality, making people ethically good or immorally evil by psychically kindling the targets’ minds so that they succumb to the voice of truth or to the urge of sin. The victim may feel the calling of the Almighty or some other cosmic force of good or succumb to all inner sins. The effect may expire, but that may be years after the evocations.
Dream Manipulation
User can create, shape, enter and manipulate the dreams of oneself and others, including modifying, suppressing, fabricating, influencing, manifesting, sensing, and observing dreams as well as nightmares, daydreams, etc., possibly including past ones. They can produce and modify dreams, bestow nightmares or lucid dreaming, entrap people in REM, and promote spiritual/emotional healing within dreams.
In some cases, user's power extends to the real world, such as wounds inflicted on a sleeping victim, healed damage (mental or physical) affecting the physical form, and other wise blurring the line between waking and dream. They may be able to pull someone from the waking world into the dream world or brings people/things from the dream world into the waking world.

Lady Light - Character Bio
I wanted to make this little get to know my character thing before I release the last few chapters of Day & Night. This will list all her abilities and Weaknesses. Yes she is a Reader insert character but when I write her I have to envision something to base her off of. I understand that my view will be different from what most of my readers look like but please have an open mind. With Lady Light I haven’t used any descriptive words so that I could keep the reader tag true. Hopefully this will help some readers understand exactly how powerful she truly is.
Day & Night - Master-list
Lady Light
(Yes I see Lady Light as Halsey. She is the most amazing artist and person I have ever had the pleasure of hearing.)
Name: Reader insert so her name is up to you.
Age: Unknown (Thank you Themyscira)
Relationships:
Cosette & Xavier - Birth parents (Deceased)
Hippolyta - Adoptive mother
Diana Prince - Adoptive sister
Clark Kent / Superman - Ex-boyfriend
Connor Kent / Superboy - Son (Technically her son because of DNA used in cloning)
Bruce Wayne / Batman - Boyfriend (Maybe more wink wink)
Dick Grayson Wayne / Nightwing - Adoptive son
Jason Todd Wayne / Red Hood - Adoptive son
Timothy Drake / Red Robin - Adoptive son
Damian Wayne / Robin - Adoptive son
Powers and Abilities:
Superhuman Strength: Lady Light’s strength varies greatly and depends on her mental stability. She possesses vast superhuman strength, granting her the ability to lift (press) far in excess of 100 tons easily. She is one of the strongest beings in the Universe. She is strong enough to rip Darkseid in half with absolutely no problem.
Superhuman Speed: she possesses the ability to think, move, and react at superhuman speeds. She can catch bullets and can move far in excess of supersonic speeds; her speed on earth is enough to be gauged as fast enough to move at orbital velocity (5 miles a second). She can fly to the sun in less than ten minutes.
Superhuman Stamina: Lady Light’s enhanced musculature is far more efficient than that of a human. As a result her muscles produce no fatigue toxins. However, her stamina greatly varies, depending on her mental state.
Superhuman Agility: Lady Light’s natural balance, agility, and body coordination are enhanced to levels that are far beyond the natural physical limits of even the finest human athlete.
Superhuman Reflexes: She can react at superhuman speeds exceeding several times the speed of Sound.
Superhuman Senses: Possesses vastly enhanced senses. Is able to hear almost any sound at any volume or pitch. The range of her eyesight is also far greater than that of a human being. She is able to detect a single person from hundreds of miles in the air and above cloud level.
Flight: possesses the ability to float by defying gravity, utilizing her superhuman speed to fly far above hypersonic speeds (above mach 10).
Nigh Invulnerability: She is, for all intents and purposes, almost completely impervious to harm, unless she wills herself to be killed she has no direct weakness. Like all of her abilities, her durability depends on her mental state, she can go to completely no-selling Class 100-level characters but as soon as he wishes herself dead she could be killed in an instant. She has allowed herself to get hurt just to fake that she has a weakness to something.
Photokinesis: She has the superhuman ability to generate, control, and emit light.
Light Projection: By conscious control over the light she produces, she can control its direction, frequency (color), amplitude (intensity), and duration. She can produce numerous effects with the light she manipulates. She can simply cause a bright glow all about her body. She can create a pulse of light on the order of several tens of thousands lumens of power per second (the sun produces at most 10,000 lumens of brightness at noontime), which temporarily blinds people with its brilliance.
Energy Blasts: Can generate light, heat, force, and other forms of energy as powerful blasts and explosions of a yellow color. These blasts are usually generated from the hands and eyes. The maximum power of these blasts is unknown. It has burned Superman’s skin. (He found out the hard way when they were arguing one night.)
Psionic Abilities: Possesses powerful psychic and mental powers, She could erase her existence from everyone’s memories in a single moment if she wanted too.
Healing Factor: Can heal herself from virtually all injuries.
Resurrection: (This one is kind of a spoiler if I continue with my plot line) Is able to bring the dead back to life under extreme emotional distress. This also extends to simply healing others' injuries.
Genius Level Intellect: (Partially thanks to Themyscira) is very intelligent. is capable of using her powers to detect all substances in a single object and thence determine how much of what substances make up an object. Is adept with mechanics, architecture, machinery, tracing energy sources, cybernetics, robotics and computer science.
Weaknesses-
None, unless she wills herself to be hurt or killed.
Void
Locked inside Lady Light
Only comes out when LL’s mental state is in tatters
Has all lady light’s power and abilities
doesn’t care about the human race
will kill without a hesitation
surprisingly a defense mechanism for when LL just can’t handle things anymore.
Doesn’t like anyone but Bruce, his kids, and Connor
Will commit murder to protect those she cares about
Well there you have it. I hope this clears things up for everyone who is curious. Again the gifs are how I see her. You can see her however you wish too since she is a Reader insert character.

Excerpt
Prologue Southampton
A cold morning in early spring 2017
Unbeknownst to Annie, a mundane commute to London on a train — will change her life forever. A fatigue crack in one of the front wheels of the train’s control car had started to open up, and further up the frozen track, a set of points were waiting for the fail...
Chapter 2 The Crash
The previous babble of voices had now risen to a headache-inducing hullabaloo, prompting Annie to put her earphones in to listen to her favourite track ‘Human,’ from the new Rag’n’Bone Man album. She closed her eyes to concentrate on the haunting words.
Suddenly, the train shuddered, then jerked violently. Annie sat bolt upright and yanked her earphones out. The carriage had fallen silent, everyone froze; all eyes widened just before fear kicked in. Then, an unprecedented sound as loud as an overhead thunderclap exploded through the carriage. The screeching of brakes set the students screaming and running for the exits, tumbling over each other like waves. Some commuters stood still, straddling the aisles, and holding onto anything that was bolted down.
Annie could only watch in terror and disbelief; none of it seemed real.
Then, the impact came. A jolt so violent it sent bodies crunching onto the floor of the carriage. Annie was forced backwards with a massive thud into her seat, knocking the wind out of her. If she had she been facing forwards, she would have been horribly smashed.
The screaming in the carriage had become unbearably loud, with commuters slamming into solid objects. The train rocked on its tracks and tilted violently over to her side; and just—kept— tilting.
Annie grabbed a pole on the aisle side of the seat and instinctively lifted her legs from the footwell below the table, tucking them under her. There was a combined screeching and scraping, whilst brakes and metal sparked and twisted, before the train succumbed to gravity.
