Story where there is a creature that erases people out of existence (so nobody remembers them and has any records of them whatsoever) but nobody knows what the creature does because we don’t remember it’s victims (so we dont know the effect of it’s powers)

gillion tidestrider deserves to be viscerally horrifying more often. like he would tear a guy's throat out with his teeth if he were pushed far enough. he would have fun doing it too.

Small but significant character moments that I actually really adore are from both the times we see the boys as tots. There is a reoccurrence that happens in both of them that I find so incredibly interesting.
For the turtle tot short, Splinter leaves the boys with weapons. In the short, Raph is the one who suggests they do “what Lou Jitsu would do” and Leo is the one who takes point when Splinter comes back to reprimand them. Leo, in taking point, is the one to defend them and get Splinter off their tails.
And then, in the flashback regarding the Kuroi Yōroi helmet, Raph is the one who grabs and throws “Skully” as a way to replace their missing ball which breaks it into pieces, but Leo is the one who speaks for the group and rushes into action to fix the teapot.
I love this for multiple reasons, but the biggest are how it shows that Raph has always been inclined toward the bold and fun and making the plans to include his brothers in what he loves and believes they’d love, whereas Leo has always been inclined to be the “Face” of the group and shoulder the attention even if it’s potentially negative all while coming up with on the spot attempts to fix the situation.

Ghostly Case
When Richard Grayson was asked to investigate the murder of Daniel Fenton he didn't think much of it. Sure, it was extremely sad, but Dick was a cop, he saw cases like that every day, it was a little unusual to be asked to investigate it directly but that was okay.
Dick didn't know the rabbit hole he had gone down. There were so many complications, and none of the witnesses were cooperating, the boy's family refused to see his body!!!, to make matters worse someone had stolen the damn corpse.
So yeah, Dick couldn't be blamed for bringing Nightwing into the case, maybe Bruce would scold him later but he didn't care, Nightwing had resources that Officer Grayson didn't and that was all that mattered.
When he finally thought he had figured something out a ghost appeared in his apartment, scared and asking for help. Of course the case was more complicated, what did he expect?
But Dick had never been able to say no to a scared teenager and he wasn't about to start now.

Narinder had expected many things.
To return to power. To punish his traitor family for millennia before erasing their miserable souls. To despise the Lamb and their methods.
But to his surprise, the Lamb, infant god that they were, was a dutiful one. Honoring the lives of their followers, burying or composting them as requested, and bringing back from the dead those who the Lamb felt needed more time.
They even gave him alone decorations of bone for his new abode at his… request.
What Narinder was not expecting was the Lamb - Lambert they insisted he call them - return with another sheep.
This one was different, however. He was tall, taller than even Narinder, with such dark fur and wool that he looked almost to be made of shadow. Long horns curling towards and away from his face, the new arrival returning to the base of the (recently designated) New Faith sent the flock into a near frenzy if Narinder hadn’t bullied the Witnesses into aiding him in calming them down.
Lamber pulled the black sheep, Narinder, and the Witnesses into the temple, ordering the flock into compliance. They would expect a celebration.
They would expect a new holy day.
Narinder expected nothing good would come from Lambert informing them that the Mystic Seller demanded they rescue his heathen family from Limbo.

The delicious, tragic irony of Percy, who looks exactly like Rhea, being both desired and loved by:
Luke Castellan. Kronos' right hand and host, sharing his ideals as well.
Jason Grace. Son of Zeus who's straight up Kronos' carbon copy.
And falling in love for both of them simultaneously.
One way or another, she's doomed to relive the past.

Do you guys remember when the name "Hoid" felt like just a fun Easter egg, a silly little mystery, a small and interesting detail?
I remember those days.
