best way to get better at art is getting obsessed with something and drawing it over and over and over and over and over again until you want to try new ways of drawing the same thing
#it also helps to have a friend who is also obsessed with what you're interested in#fuel for the fire etc#this is kind of about my recent fhr fixation but its also a callback to how i first started drawing#which was drawing my warrior cats ocs over and over and over again#yes i guess this advice technically counts as 'just practice' but thats boring and nonspecific#draw what you love until you learn to draw it new ways is much better imo#ramblings#art
