I’m so so serious when I say that Bagi and tubbo are siblings that are bonded after being born from blood and not bonded for sharing blood.
They shared blood in the way that they bled together and shared it when their bloody hands clasped together. They chose loyalty to each other instead of feeling they had to be loyal from birth.
Bagi would go to hell for tubbo and tubbo would take out armies for Bagi.
#fuck cellbit tubbo is her brother now#Bagi telling her team she would stick her hand in a fire if tubbo asked because she KNOWS that he only wants the best for her#and he would never lead her astray#the way she defaulted to him for advice and continued to follow his lead even when her team didn’t belive him#the way that tubbo immediately opened his arms to her when she asked to join goose team#the way he smiles at her when she calls him coach#they make me insane#qsmp tubbo#qsmp#tubbo#qsmp bagi#bagi

Can I get Wilbur, Philza, Technoblade, and Awesamdude (separately) dealing with a giggly, happily drunk reader, who is very nice to everyone but immediately goes into “I love youuuu, let me stay with you foreverrrrrrrr” cuddly lovesick puppy mode and proceeds to latch onto them for the rest of the night.
I hope you enjoy this! ♥
In Game and Female Reader
Warnings: Implied underage drinking(?)
A/N: I wanted to do like ten different things with these that would have been tooo long and strayed too far off path and then when I did have something I hated it. So, long story short, I had trouble writing it. Sorry it took so long! I’ve also never watched Sam I’m only just getting to the livestreams he was in with Tommy, I hope his character is good.
Wilbur
It had been a celebration of the freedom of L’Manberg.
Naturally, the men and their lady of the hour wanted to go all out and finally have fun after all the war and bloodshed. There were some things they wanted to forget as well, such as the betrayal of one of their own. For once, Wilbur didn’t join in with the drinking that had started, simply just wanting to rest till what felt like the end of time after everything.
Luckily, he hadn’t as now as he chuckled at (Y/N) rambling on about how adorable sheep were as they sat on the ground.
“I mean, we can make them different colors, and they just don’t give a fuck. And their little faces.” She put her hands close together. “I want a pet sheep Wilbur.”
He laughed as he stood up. “I think it’s time we got you to bed love.”
“What? No, the party is so much fun.” She motioned with a smile at the men away from them, doubled over in laughter.
He took her hand, pulling her up carefully. “But I believe you’ve had too much to drink. Your face is red, so let’s get you home.”
She was quiet before grabbing his hand again, smiling. “Ok.”
“Good. Make sure you get some sleep tonight boys, we got work to do.”
He got a few responses between their laughter, shaking his head before he led (Y/N) away through the cool night. Her house had resided outside the L’Manberg walls but Dream and his friends took care of that. So, instead, Wilbur led her to the van, deciding to let her stay there for the night.
“Alright love. You’re going to stay here tonight?”
“I like it when you say, love.” She giggled. “It makes me feel all fuzzy.”
He blushed slightly as he chuckled. “I’m sure it’s just all the drinks you had. Now, you get comfortable and I’ll…”
He let go of her hand, only to jump as she latched onto his arm.
“No.” She whined. “Stay here.”
“What are you doing (Y/N)?” He asked confused.
“I don’t want you to go. I love you. And you’re so warm.” She huffed, putting her forehead against his arm as she held out a few of her words.
Wilbur was red as he watched the woman beside him.
“(Y/N), you shouldn’t say those things. Come on, let’s get your uniform off.” He told her gently as he took his arm back from her only for her to hug him around the middle instead, making him laugh in surprise. “(Y/N)!”
“Don’t go.” She spoke muffled into his chest. “Stay forever.”
He softened as he took her hat off, putting it down on a chest as he ran a hand through her hair. “I’m not going anywhere darling. I’m just trying to make you comfortable. So, can we please get your uniform off?”
She pouted but let go, letting him help her take her jacket and accessories off. Plopping on the bed, she struggled but managed to get her shoes off as Wilbur laid down her uniform next to her hat.
“Alright, you need to get some rest ok? I’m going to go sleep in the front.” He explained to her, going for the door but she took his sleeve.
“Stay with me. You’re so warm and you give the best hugs and I love you.” She rambled.
Wilbur went red again as he looked at the door. He didn’t want to just stay here with her while she was drunk, probably unable to remember any of this in the morning, but she was stubborn even drunk. There was a voice in the back of his head telling him she would most certainly just follow him. So, with a sigh, he sat on the bed next to her.
“Alright, but you have to sleep.”
She grinned as Wilbur leaned back against the headboard. Coming over, she hugged him as she put her head on her chest, half on him as she hummed.
“Good night Mr. President.” She giggled as Wilbur put a hand on her back.
“Good night darling.” He muttered, running his other hand through her hair.
It took a few minutes but she fell asleep on him and he was red as he watched her. It did feel warm like this and felt so right and comfortable. Maybe in the morning, after he explained the situation that they were in, he’d finally tell her how he felt to celebrate their victory further. He wasn’t getting any sleep tonight.
Philza
Phil had been with (Y/N) for a long time, dating what felt like even longer. They had been on many travels together and seen the same amount of shit in their lifetime. Naturally, that called for a drink or two.
In the end, it was always Phil that could his liquor better than his girlfriend and he would usually just have a good laugh at her antics. She was very giggly and thought almost everything was hilarious and this time was no different.
“And, and he just fell. And I felt so bad for laughing but I did.” She giggled as she leaned on the table, Phil giving an amused chuckle.
She went to take another drink, but Phil took it from her. “I think that’s all for you tonight sweetheart.”
“You’re so good for me Phil.” She hummed, resting her arm on the table before putting her head in her hand. “Always making sure I’m ok.”
“Well, you help take care of me too.” He reminded her as he got up, starting to clean.
“Yeah, but you’re so much better at it. You’re so good at fighting and stuff. You also look good fighting.”
He laughed at that as he came back over to her. “Do I now?”
“Mhm. And-And your hair is so soft and your eyes are really pretty.”
“Yeah, I think it’s time for you to go to bed. Come on.” He helped her up.
As he did, she latched onto him and he knew what phase she was in her drunkenness, the clingy phase.
“You’re going to come with me, right?” She pouted up at him as she nuzzled into him.
“Of course.” He chuckled, putting a hand on top of her head.
“Good, because I love you. Just don’t tell Techno, he thinks it's gross.”
He put a hand over his mouth to muffle his laughter, nearly doubling over. “I won’t…God, I won’t. Holy shit.”
“Phil, you’re supposed to say it back.” She whispered as he led her to their bedroom once he could breathe right.
“I’m sorry sweetheart, I love you too.” He kissed her forehead, making the woman giggle in joy.
“Philza Craft loves me.” She squealed as she hugged onto him tightly.
“Yes, yes.” He nodded, chuckling quietly as he managed to unlatch her from him to get her into bed.
He made sure she dressed comfortably before they started drinking, knowing that this is where it would lead. Before she could protest, he got in beside her and pulled her in, hugging her close as he let his wings unfurl and laid one on top of them. She grinned, nuzzling into his chest, acting as if they didn’t do this all the time.
“You’re-You’re the best.” She muttered.
“Thank you, now sleep, angel.”
“You’re the only angel here. Good night.” She hummed.
“Good night.”
With that, the two were able to sleep easily into the night.
Technoblade
Just a couple glasses of wine, it will be fine, they said.
Now Techno didn’t know how the hell to deal with his best friend.
(Y/N) and a few of the others in Pogtopia had decided to have a few rounds of drinks, Techno deciding to opt-out of it as they made it into a party and he just wasn’t that into parties. Yet, now, here he stood as his best friend was giggling like an idiot at Wilbur’s stupid joke. He didn’t know how easy his friend got drunk but here was the proof.
Techno was trying to think of a way to get her away from the group without her putting up a fight when Tommy came over to her.
“Hey (Y/N), you know those diamonds you got the other day,” Tommy asked her, making Techno squint as he listened.
“Oh yeah!” She nodded with a wide smile.
“Want to know what would be cool? If I could have them.”
There was no way…
“Sure!”
That’s it.
“Tommy, are you really trying to scam your ally while she’s drunk?” Techno came over, arms crossed.
Tommy paled as he quickly waved his hands. “No! No! Why would you think that! I’m just going…I hear Tubbo calling for me!”
The younger boy scampered off as Techno looked at (Y/N), seeing her pout at him.
“That was mean Techno.”
“He was trying to steal from you (Y/N), you’ll understand in the morning.” Techno rolled his eyes.
“Tommy wouldn’t do that. I’m going to apologize to him for you.” She huffed, but Techno grabbed her arm.
“Nuh-uh.” He shook his head as he pulled her back in front of him. “You’re not going anywhere; you’re staying here with me so I can make sure you don’t do something you’ll regret in the morning.”
Then the girl smiled, giggling again. “You always look out for me Techno.”
He was sent through a loop by her sudden change in emotions but merely shook his head. “Because I have to. You’d be dead without me.”
That wasn’t true. While his friend was one of the nicest people he met, you mess with her and she became a whole new person that could hold her own with ease.
“E-Exactly.” She hummed, hugging onto his arm, making him stiffen. “You’re so great Techno.”
“Yeah, I know.” He tried to brush the emotions he felt off as he decided to make use of her holding onto him to lead her away.
“I hope you never leave Techno.”
“I can’t ever leave you.” He muttered truthfully.
“You’re really good at keeping secrets, right?” She asked as he brought her into her room in the cavern.
“I’d say so, yeah.” He nodded.
“I’m going to tell you a big secret. You can’t tell Technoblade.” She said and he opened his mouth to say he was in fact that same person but she spoke first. “I love Technoblade. He’s just so cool and nice and I love him.”
Techno.exe has stopped working.
Techno tried to remember where he was and what he was doing. It took a few tries but he finally got his mind working.
“Heh?!” He looked at her in shock.
“Shh, he can’t know Techno.” She giggled.
“…I don’t what the hell I’m going to do with you.” He mumbled, taking off his mask to run a hand down his face.
“You’re going to keep it a secret right?” She pouted at him.
“Yeah, now you need to go to bed. Like, right now.” He decided, taking his arm from her and turning for the door only for two arms to wrap around him from behind.
“No! You promised you wouldn’t leave.”
“I’m not leaving you idiot; I’m going to my room and letting you sleep yours.”
“Please don’t go Techno. I always sleep better when I know you’re close by.”
He didn’t know what to do. What were you supposed to do when your best friend you liked told you while they were drunk that they liked you back thinking you weren’t the same person?! His mind was fried and he didn’t have any ideas of how to get her to relent, so instead, he did.
Sighing, he took his arms off him so he could turn around. “Alright, come on. Get comfortable.”
She grinned before going over to her bed. After only taking a jacket and her shoes off, she got comfortable and he gave a long sigh before sitting beside her. As soon as he did, she put her head in his lap, humming with that dorky smile.
“Go to sleep. I’ll be here.” He promised as he ran a hand through her hair.
“Thank you. Good night Techno.” She muttered.
He didn’t say anything as she fell asleep. Yeah, he didn’t know what the hell he was going to deal with this in the morning, but he supposed he should just enjoy this moment.
Awesamdude
“Fuck!” (Y/N) shouted across the room where the Badlanders were spending the night.
“Language!” Bad shouted at her.
She giggled with Ant, Sam chuckling as he watched the two. It was just a simple party, nothing to celebrate just a moment between friends with a few drinks sent around. Sam had participated in some of the events but had stayed out of most of it, deciding instead to watch his friend as she had a generous number of drinks.
“I’m sorry Bad! I didn’t mean it!” (Y/N) called to him.
“You should do it again though.” Ant tried to convince her.
“No, I don’t want to be mean to Bad.” She laughed, going to have another drink.
“I think that’s enough for now.” Sam intervened, taking the drink carefully from her hand.
“Aww.” She pouted. “Ok. Thank you, Sam.”
He nodded as he put it down. “Good. You can still have fun, just nothing more to drink.”
“Alright. I can do that Sam. Have some fun with us?”
“Sure.” He agreed.
He didn’t do much with the group, however, mostly just sticking by the young woman’s side, though he didn’t have much choice in the matter. He had already planned on keeping an eye on her as he did know how easily tricked, she was into doing what others wanted, such as shouting fuck across the room, as they had been friends for a while; but this time was different. Usually, it was a fight to get her to stay by his side but this time, she refuses to leave his side.
The creeper-hybrid was genuinely surprised as she followed him where ever he went.
“Normally you want to be with everyone else, what’s new today?” He raised an eyebrow.
“I just want to stay with you forever!” She grinned as she took his hand. “That would be nice wouldn’t it?”
He looked at her surprised as he nodded slowly. “Yeah, that would be. But, why do you want to?”
“Because I love you silly.” She said as it was the simplest thing.
“I uh…” His smile grew as he processed her words. “Really?”
“Duh.”
He didn’t mean it to go to his head as his friend was drunk but it did.
“What about me do you, love?”
“You’re super smart and you’re really good at fighting.” She started to list and he laughed.
“Alright, alright. No need for all that. Maybe we should get you home. I think you had more drinks than I realized.” He scratched the back of his head.
“Aw, ok.” She gave a pout before he led her away and to her home.
He took out her hidden spare key she had told him about and unlocked the door as he went inside.
“Ok, home safe and sound. You get some sleep alright? I’ll see you in…”
“No.” She whined as she grabbed his arm. “You said it’d be nice to stay forever so please Sam. Stay.”
“No, I think it’s smarter if I leave so you’re not confused in the morning.”
“I don’t care. Please, Sam. Stay.” She pouted at him and he felt his heart race slightly before humming.
“Yeah, ok. Just to make sure you’re alright.” He nodded. “I’ll stay in the living room.”
“No, come with me. It’s cold and you’re warm.” She said, making him blush.
“I uh…Hey, slow down.” Sam protested as she dragged him along by his hand. “(Y/N).”
She pulled him into her room and sat on her bed, giving him a puppy dog eyed face. His heart melted as he tried to stay strong but sighed.
“Ok, but if you kill me in the morning, I’m haunting your ass.”
She grinned, throwing up her arms. “Yeah.”
“Ok, ok, come on. Let’s get comfortable.”
The two of them shed the unnecessary layers and laid in bed. (Y/N) cuddled into Sam’s side and he put his arm around her back, gently running a hand along her side. Before another word was breathed, (Y/N) was asleep and Sam chuckled lightly.
“Good night, I hope you say the same thing tomorrow.” He muttered before sleeping himself for the night.

***********
Dream huffed out a deep breath as he wiggled around between his cool sheets, searching for warmth that the soft sun shining through his curtains wasn't giving him. He groaned as the sun escaped through a crack and shone in his eyes, making him quickly roll to the side out of the beam, immediately finding warmth in the form of another body. He sat up slightly and rubbed his eye as he looked to his left, his eyes adjusting to the light to see a girl laying with her back to him. He smiled warmly and laid back down, scooting closer to her and wrapping his arms around her waist.
She hummed as he kissed her shoulder lightly and turned around in his arms, burying her face in his chest instead. He giggled and squirmed lightly as she peppered slow kisses to his collarbone and neck, eyes still closed and sleepy.
"Good morning," Dream whispered into her hair with a soft kiss to the top of her head.
"Morning," she replied sleepily, her voice familiar. He didn't have time to process it all before she said, "you're very warm," in the cutest mumble he had ever heard.
"You're very cold," he countered with a chuckle as she wiggled in his embrace, seeking further comfort. He was confused about how he felt warmer next to her even though her skin was cold as ice. Maybe he just felt warmer in his heart because of her presence, which spread throughout his whole body from head to toes.
"But you hate cuddling when I'm cold," she informed, snapping him out of his confusion.
"That's not true," he said as he closed his eyes, deciding he would much rather stay here in this girl's comfort than get up to make them breakfast. "I like that you use me as a heater."
He felt her giggle under his arms and place another kiss on his collarbone. "Did you sleep well? Any more nightmares?"
"Never when you're 'round."
Dream felt lips press against his and he sighed contently as he kissed back, loving how such a tender kiss could give him so many butterflies.
"I love you," she hummed against his lips before placing another quick kiss.
He still had his eyes sealed shut. "I love you too, lovebug," he promised. "So much."
"I'd love to stay here all day but you need to wake up."
He frowned playfully, pulling his eyebrows together. "Only if you get up too."
"Wake up, Dream," she repeated, her voice starting to morph into something masculine.
"What—" he opened his eyes and was faced with the girl staring at him as she pushed herself away from his embrace. He could only assume she was staring at him because he was looking at a blank slate of a person as if her features had fallen off cleanly or maybe were never given to her in the first place.
"Dream, wake up." Her voice was no longer sweet like honey, but he recognized it as someone else he knew. Despite him recognizing it as his best friend's voice, it was distorted and felt weird coming from this pretty, faceless girl in front of him.
"DREAM!" Sapnap's voice rang suddenly from a different plane and Dream shot up in bed, widening his eyes to get a grasp on the real world. His room was much brighter than it had been seconds ago and it gave him an immediate headache. "Dude, wake up," Sapnap repeated, his voice no longer distorted and scary, but coming from the doorway of Dream's room.
As Dream's eyes adjusted to his surroundings, he looked to his left and reached his hand out as if the girl from his dream was there, just invisible. When his arm fell on his sheets empty-handed, he looked back at Sapnap's confused but amused face.
Dream groaned and leaned forward, cradling his head in his hands in defeat. Why did he have a soft, romantic dream about some random girl? Sure, he's had some spicy dream's about girls he's dated and liked before but they always had faces, or at least there was no question about their identities.
Dream, his inner voice said as if reprimanding a child gently, don't pretend like that girl wasn't-
He snapped his head up quickly to shake his thoughts and was surprised to see Sapnap still standing in his doorway. "You good, man?"
"Yeah?" Dream replied, not sure whether he was trying to convince himself or his best friend. "Why are you still here?"
"You look guilty like you just committed murder or something. Do you... need help hiding a body or some shit like that?"
"I just woke up, dude," Dream argued, lamely reaching to throw a pillow at Sapnap.
He caught it easily. "No, for real, are you okay? Did you have another bad dream or something?"
"It was definitely a dream for sure..."
Sapnap paused before his face twisted in disgust. "Oh, gross! Like, a sex dream? I don't wanna know about that, dude!" Sapnap screeched, throwing the pillow back at Dream's face.
"No," he groaned. "Not like that! You're the one that said that, not me!"
"Whatever, just get up."
"Why?" Dream groaned, falling back into his pillows, hoping that if he wished hard enough, he could resume his dream and maybe find out who the girl was.
Again, dude, come on. You know who it was. You just wanna cuddle with her more. His inner voice was really annoying this morning.
"George is starting a stream soon and wants us on."
"Just the three of us?" he asked, eyes closed.
"And Bugsy."
Dream sighed and swung his legs off the side of the bed.
"Ah, that got him up," Sapnap teased, earning one last lazy pillow toss in his direction, before leaving the room.
"I already regret you moving in!" he yelled jokingly and smiled at Sapnap's loud laugh from the hallway.
Dream shook his head with a hand through his hair as he grabbed a pair of sweatpants from the floor, not bothering to find a shirt. His dream wasn't sexual but for some reason, it lingered in his mind. His skin burned where the girl had kissed him and he wished it was real or at least that he knew who--
A nagging thought in the back of his head interrupted his thoughts. No, he wasn't going to admit it was her unless there was solid proof. And there wasn't any so... forever in denial, he will remain.
Dream wasn't stupid. He knew what his feelings for Y/n were and he had for a while. It was hard to deny it when he messed up a perfect speedrun just because she said hi to him. His texts to his friends were all very incriminating, packed with evidence that he had a little crush on her. Okay, a huge crush. He liked her a lot. But that didn't mean he wanted to have a domestic dream about her and invade her privacy. So, no, he wasn't going to give in to the knowledge that nagged at the back of his head.
He grabbed his phone and sure enough, he was being summoned to a stream.
"Dream?" George asked, not giving him any time to settle after joining the voice channel.
"Yeah."
George laughed. "Finally! Where have you been?"
"Asleep," he mumbled.
"Awww poor Dreamie," Sapnap teased.
"Shut up. Is it just us?" he asked as he looked at the names under the voice channel, knowing full well that it wasn't in fact everyone. He just wanted to know when Bugsy would be joining them.
"Bugsy went to grab her comforter from her bed," George explained briefly.
"...What?" Dream asked, soon answered by Bugsy unmuting.
"I'm back. Oh, hi Dream!"
The air in his lungs evaporated at her words as it always did and he was left grinning at his desktop background like a fool. "Hi."
Sapnap scoffed at Dream's soft reply, but he ignored it.
"What are we even doing today?" Dream asked.
"Skribblio!" George huffed. "Do you even read your texts, Dream?"
"No. Wait, how are we going to play with four people? It's gonna be so lame!"
"Karl's coming later," Bugsy explained. "He's with Jimmy and Chris."
"And Quackity, Sam, and Ranboo and Tubbo are coming in a few. They're just being so slow."
"Then why did you start your stream already?" Dream laughed. "Why didn't you wait?"
"Because Quackity said he was going to raid me and made me start! It's fine, we can just mess around on the SMP or something until the others are ready."
Dream groaned. "Can I just go back to sleep then?"
"No!" George yelled. "If you leave I'll never talk to you again."
"Oh boohoo. I have Bug, I don't need you."
Bugsy giggled as George scoffed. "Whatever, I'm gonna go start the stream."
Dream tapped his fingers against his desk and stared at his Minecraft launcher. "So, Bug, what's this I hear about you getting your comforter off your bed?"
"What about it?" Bugsy asked. "It's comfy."
"But you just... take it off your bed? Do you own other blankets?"
"Yeah," she laughed. "But my comforter is way fluffier and it's nicer to just... wrap myself in. I dunno."
"That's cute," he hummed, not meaning to verbalize his thoughts. His lips seemed to be getting looser every day he spent with her, more and more thoughts spilling from his locked brain to the world each day. One of these days he was going to let it slip that he liked her or something.
"Whatever. It's comfy," she said. "How are you doing Sapnap?"
Dream couldn't hear his best friend's response but he didn't need to. If he wanted to know how Sapnap was doing, he could just go to the other room and ask. Besides, his mind was too busy swarming with how sweet Bugsy's voice was and how much it compared to the girl in his dream's.
Nope, he thought quickly, shaking his head. We are not going there, especially when George is about to start his stream. Stop thinking of her that way.
"SAPNAP!" Bugsy yelled, snapped Dream back to the conversation. He had finished loading into the SMP and was just standing, but he could see Sapnap chasing after Bugsy's avatar. He smiled and threw his phone down, placing his hands on the keyboard and mouse to join them.
"I'll save you!" Dream offered heroically, hitting Sapnap.
"How are you going to save me?" Bugsy asked. "Go cry to DreamXD, pissbaby."
"Bug!" he yelled fondly, not being able to hide his smile. "What the hell?!"
Sapnap cackled loudly while Bugsy giggled, which made his heart soar.
"You've been spending waaay too much time with Karl and Quackity!"
"What, jealous?" she challenged, running around him in-game.
Yes. Absolutely, yes.
"Nah, they don't have what we have. They should be jealous."
"Oh, whatever."
"Hello!!!!" George said loudly as he unmuted and undeafened. "Hello."
"George, save me!" Sapnap cried, making the other ask what had happened in the ten minutes he was gone. "Bugsy and Dream are flirting. Help, I'm scared."
"No we aren't," Bugsy laughed. "George!! How are you?"
"Great," George laughed. "How are you? Did you get your, uh, comforter or whatever it's called?"
"Yes," she said with childish joy in her voice.
"You doing okay, Bug?" Dream asked. "You're in a weird mood today."
"I dunno. I am in a weird mood today. I'm just very happy for some reason."
Dream wanted to pretend like it was because he had recently shown her his face, but the other part of his brain ridiculed him for being a narcissist. It wasn't narcissistic, the other part argued, he just liked to think that she meant it when she said he was attractive.
"Are you guys on the SMP?" George asked, receiving a variation of confirmations in reply.
"Oh, George!" Bugsy started. "Did you ever fix your house? Are you homeless?"
"I-I'm not homeless," he argued. "My house is just.... under construction.
"I was just gonna say we could fix it while we wait for the others," she offered, warming Dream's heart. It didn't even have to be directed at him, he just loved the happiness in her voice every time she offered to help anyone with anything. She was the sweetest person he thought he ever met and if he wasn't careful, he was going to be in too deep too fast.
"Oh!" George pondered for a moment. "Yeah, sure! Since we have nothing else to do."
"Wooooow," Bugsy said softly. "You wouldn't want my company otherwise? You're literally soooo bored so I gueeesssss we can build your house," she mocked his words.
"No!" George laughed. "Not like that! I just don't like building that much."
"Bug's really good," Dream complimented quickly. "She's a good teacher."
"Where's Sapnap?" George asked after a moment.
"Uh... I don't know. I'll go check if he's okay," Dream mumbled before taking off his headphones and leaving his room. He checked Sapnap's room before looking in the kitchen. "Sapnap?"
"In here," Sapnap replied, standing up from being hunched over in the fridge, a jug of orange juice in his hands. "We really need to go to the store."
"Yeah, true," he said distractedly as Patches rubbed against his leg. He bent down and scratched under her chin, making her purr lightly.
"You okay?"
Dream stood up and looked at his friend. "Yeah, we were just making sure you're okay. You just left."
"Oh, yeah, I'm good. Just thirsty."
Dream turned on his heel with the new knowledge that everything was, in fact, okay, but Sapnap stopped him.
"Hey, um..." Sapnap paused when Dream turned back to face him. "Just, not to be a parent, but, like, remember not to flirt with Bugsy as much."
Dream raised his eyebrows so Sapnap sighed and continued.
"You know, cause of the hate she's been getting? She asked all of us to dial it back?"
"Oh, yeah. I know." Dream nodded once. "Wait, she told you too?"
Sapnap nodded. "Yeah, except she told us in a groupchat. Not privately over the phone."
Dream felt his cheeks redden a little. "Wha—what? Does she think I'm a bigger problem... or something?" he asked shyly with a hand on the back of his neck. Was he really that obvious that she felt the need to tell him separately.
"I mean, you are, for sure, a bigger flirt towards her than any of us. But I have a feeling she just used it as an excuse to call you."
"What do you mean?" Dream asked. "Stop shrugging!"
Sapnap laughed. "I'm just saying! Girl definitely likes talking to you as much as you like talking to her, so..." He grinned and turned to go back to his room.
"Sapnap! You can't just talk like you have information and then leave."
"Sure I can. Watch me."
Dream groaned as Sapnap's door closed, turning to go back to his own room. Did Sapnap know something?
Sliding his headphones back on, he noticed a few new members in the voice channel and was thankful since it gave him time to process Sapnap's words. Did she talk about him to the other boys?
"DREAM!" Quackity yelled accusatorily.
"Quackity?"
"HELLO."
"Wh—? Why did you yell that?"
"I don't know," he laughed. "I just have a lot of energy."
"Yeah, join Bug. She does too."
"BUGSY!" Quackity yelled the same way, making Bugsy laugh loudly.
"Hello, mom," Ranboo greeted, making Bugsy squeal a little.
"Ranboo, my beloved. Where is your brother?"
"He's coming. He's on the phone with Tommy last I heard."
"Hey, Bug, how come Tommy isn't one of your kids?" Dream asked, just wanting an excuse to hear her talk.
"You think that boy would let himself be controlled by a woman? The first time I talked to him he yelled at me. He is no child of mine. Only my childrens' rebellious friend who I sometimes let hang out at our house and destroy my favorite vase."
Dream's laughter was interrupted by George's big mouth. "Hey, you know what I just realized? How come Dream is the only one that calls her Bug?" George asked before pouting. "Bugsy, I want a cute nickname for you, too."
"We know her real name, George, so we already beat him in the Bugsy name category of life," Quackity laughed.
Dream hummed hesitantly. He wasn't sure if she was okay with the fans knowing that they had that precious information but Quackity had already let the cat out of the bag. "That's not true. I know it, too."
"You what?" Quackity yelled. "HOW? You weren't in the groupchat??"
"Yeah, as if that's the only way to talk to Bug? She and I talk without you guys, you know?"
"Wait, she willingly told you?" Sapnap gasped. "Bugsy! I was your friend first and you didn't even tell me your name, I found out from Karl!! I'M SO HURT!"
"Ah..." she said softly, clearly uncomfortable with how much the chat was learning. If they knew Karl accidentally told them all her name, they might come after him to try to pry it out of him, even though that obviously wouldn't work.
"Okay, okay, Sapnap," Dream said in a voice he hoped Sapnap would recognize as 'drop it, dude'. He listened.
"Sorry, Sap. I still love you more."
"Wait, now I'M hurt!" Dream yelled. He was about to tell everyone how she knew his face but he realized how possessive it would sound bragging like that, so he held his tongue.
"It's because of their weird flower thing, Sapnap," George said. "Do you guys still have those, by the way?"
"Yeah, duh," Bugsy replied instantly. "It's in my enderchest for life."
Dream's heart swelled at her words. He hoped she wasn't just playing around and meant it, because God knows he wasn't playing around when he said he loved the flower she gave him. He walked over to and enderchest and hovered over the flower. love, bug.
Wait. Why did that sound familiar?
Love, Bug.
Lovebug.
His smile dropped. Gears turned in his head as flashes of his dream showed in his head.
"Dream?"
I love you too, lovebug.
His inner voice was back, teasing him senseless. What more proof do you need before you accept it was her in the dream, cuddling you, kissing you—
"Wha—?" he asked dazed, half-listening as he tried to shut his brain up. Not now. Not when he was supposed to be not flirting with her.
"I asked if you're gonna play Skribblio or just stay on the SMP?" Geroge teased. Dream hit tab and noticed he was the only one left, everyone else had logged out and was navigating to the new game. "Tubbo and Sam are on their way."
"Oh, uh, yeah. Sorry, I'm pretty tired," he admitted, knowing full well that his voice still sounded somewhere else.
"Probably still stuck in his dream from this morning," Sapnap teased, not knowing he was a thousand percent correct.
"Shut up, Sapnap," he warned, voice laced with venom.
"What do you mean?" Bugsy laughed.
"Man was deadass smiling in his sleep and then he woke up, like, so confused that he was in the real world again. I'm pretty sure I interrupted a sex dream or something..."
"What, Sapnap?" Dream asked loudly as everyone laughed. "What the hell is wrong with you? I told you it wasn't that kind of dream!"
"He was smiling? Dream..." George called teasingly.
"This is a weird place for me to join, I'm gonna be honest..." Tubbo's voice announced for the first time.
"TUBBO!!" Bugsy yelled.
"BUGSY!" he matched with a laugh.
"What was that about Dream having a sex dream?" Sam's voice asked, making Dream groan.
"Oh, come on! Sapnap's exaggerating! It was a nice dream, that's all. Would you rather I have more nightmares?" Chills ran down his spine at the thought. He had been having horrible nightmares lately, all involving the same concept and he always woke up in a panic. He'd much rather have stupid domestic dreams than those nightmares.
"Well, what were you dreaming about then, huh?" Sapnap asked. "If it wasn't a girl?"
Dream smirked. "It was about a girl, but I just didn't wanna say because it was Quackity's mom but... whatever, I guess it's okay if he knows."
"WHAT THE HELL?" Quackity yelled.
**********
After about an hour of playing Skribblio, everyone needed a break to use the bathroom and get snacks, so Dream leaned back in his chair and stretched, relaxing after hearing the satisfying click of his back and shoulders. His phone buzzed aggressively on his desk and he sighed, picking it up to check the messages flooding his home screen.
Dream set his phone back down with a large sigh.
"You okay, Dream?" Bugsy's voice asked softly. His head snapped to the discord screen, not realizing she was back from getting her snack.
"Oh, yeah," he said as he cleared his throat. "I'm just tired today." That and my friends are super unhelpful when it comes to having feelings for someone apparently.
"Well George said he only wants to play one more game, I think, so you can go take a nap soon."
He smiled at the warm care in her voice even though she was laughing lightly. He wanted so badly to say something stupid like, it would be better if you joined me, or something but that would be breaking her new "no flirting online" request. That was probably for the best because that line was awful. Imagine if he actually had said that out loud. Cringe.
His phone buzzed on the desk again and he looked down to see Bugsy’s name instead of his idiot friends.
"Hey, I think Patches wanted to say hi," he chuckled as his cat jumped onto his lap, making herself a useful distraction from the loud pounding in Dream's chest from his recent text interaction. The others needed to come back quickly so he didn't have to talk directly to Bugsy any longer.
Was he seriously so panicked about his dream that he didn't want to talk to Bugsy? His literal favorite person on earth? Maybe he would rather have more nightmares.
"Patches! My love!" Bugsy cooed happily, making Dream chuckle lightly as he scratched the cat's head.
"I'm back," George announced. "Sorry I took so long."
"It's still just us and Dream," Bugsy explained and George groaned. Soon, everyone else was back and they could keep playing.
"Hi, pretty girl," Dream whispered to Patches, really hoping no one heard as he continued petting her fur. The lack of mocks and laughs assured him that he got away with it.
"Any time you're ready, Dream," Sam teased as they all stared at a blank slate.
"Oh, shit, sorry," Dream apologized as he leaned forward and looked at what word the game auto-gave him for not choosing.
Lovebug
You're joking. You have to be kidding. He smiled at the irony and quickly snapped a picture to show George and Sapnap later... and maybe Bugsy.
"How do I draw this?" he asked loudly, stalling as he tried to think of what the animal looked like, the only image in his mind being the Minecraft skin of one BugsyGames.
"Just draw something!" Quackity laughed.
"What color is that? Wait, is that brown?"
"It's red, George," Karl explained as Dream used red to add the head of the animal.
"No, it's yellow," Dream joked, earning scoffs from a few people.
"I can see yellow, idiot."
Bugsy guessed the word!
"What? How?" Sam asked. Dream glanced at the chat and smiled that she had understood his interpretation of a lovebug. Ironic.
"Wait, got it?" Karl said before he guessed it right too. "Okay, bye guys. Bye."
"Shut up, Karl. What is that??" George asked.
George: mosquito Sam: firefly Sam: lightbug Sapnap guessed the word!
"HAHAHA!" Sapnap laughed loudly, making Dream turn red. He was never going to hear the end of this from him.
When the time ran out, only Bugsy, Karl, Sapnap, Ranboo, and Sam had guessed correctly.
"What the hell?" Quackity scoffed.
"Lovebug?" George laughed loudly, too loudly. "What is that? Is that a real thing?" he asked between gasps for air. Dream knew he was thinking of Dream's dream too, wondering how he managed to get such a serendipitous word.
"George and Tubbo said, 'wE DoN't HaVe ThoSe iN eNglAnd!!'," Karl mocked with a loud cackle.
"Yeah, it's like... uh... you know... what I drew. I drew it perfectly," Dream boasted.
"Honestly, it sounds like a cute name for Bugsy or something," Tubbo laughed.
"Aw, wait, that's so cute," Bugsy giggled and Dream's heart thumped loudly. Because of her comment, Dream desperately wanted to tell her he came up with it first, calling her lovebug, in his dream. No, bad idea. Bad idea. Not something to brag about.
"Oh, this is a good one. It's good, it's good," Ranboo said as he started drawing.
"What on Earth, Ranboo?" Karl asked after many moments of pure silent confusion from everyone.
"I— hold on..." He scribbled some more things above what looked like someone laying down. "It's—it's harder than I thought it would be!"
"Oh, wait? I'm cracked?" George said before his name popped up, revealing he had guessed the word right. "I'm actually cracked at the game."
Dream's brain was nowhere in the right zone to be playing this game. He was so distracted and out of it that he was pretty sure he was seeing things.
"Stop using your hacks, George," Sam joked.
Sapnap: dreams sex dream with quackitys mom
"Sapnap! That's messed up!" Quackity yelled.
Quackity: sapnap sux Dream: sex with quackitys mom
"Stop!"
"Oh, got it," Karl announced. "Bye guys."
Karl guessed the word! Toob: thunderstorm
"What is this? I'm so confused?" Tubbo whined.
"Me too, dude," Dream agreed.
The word was 'nightmare'
"OOOHHH!" Tubbo shouted. "Yeah, I see it now. The weird cloud thing confused me, I thought it was a storm."
Dream could not catch a break today.
"One more game?" George asked. A few people agreed but Dream couldn't take it.
"No, I think I'm gonna get off."
"Nooo..." Bugsy whined, unintentionally causing him more heart pain.
"One more, Dream," Quackity tried persuading. "One more."
"No, dude," Dream said firmly. "I'm really not feeling good right now. And the computer's just giving me a bigger headache."
"Oh, sorry. Go get some rest," George told him, the others agreeing.
"Feel better, Dream!" Tubbo chirped, making Dream smile. He was starting to understand why Bugsy loved the young boy so much.
"Do not die in your sleep. No one but Sapnap will be able to rescue you," Ranboo pointed out.
"Thanks, Toob. Thanks, Ranboo... I think. I'll talk to you all later," Dream promised. "Have fun." His mouse hovered over the 'leave call' button, waiting for a good time to leave, not wanting to miss any goodbyes.
"Bye, Dream," Sam and Bugsy said in unison.
"Bye, everyone." He clicked the leave call button and slid down in his chair pathetically as he ripped of his headphones, feeling the cool air rush to his on-fire ears. "What am I going to do, Patches?"
The cat meowed softly in reply and he smiled. He wandered to his bed and flopped down, his brain full of thoughts since he no longer had a distraction.
What was he going to do about his massively overwhelming crush? Or should he just leave it be? Bugsy already was overwhelmed by hate she got for the boys flirting with her, imagine how much worse it work get if she was dating one of them? Not to mention, he had no idea if she liked him back and there was no chance he wanted to ruin their friendship.
His phone buzzed from his pillow and he lifted his head, expecting George to tell him some dumb philosophical quote about how life will get better, but was both pleased and panicked to see Bugsy's name instead.

It Was Yours, Why Does It Have To Be Mine?
Requested by this anon who decided to break my heart: “Hear me out. Dream x fem!reader angst. Originally, the reader was the one who wore the smiley faced mask. Dream and the reader were in love and dream proposed, reader said yes, then later that night, the reader passed away (either sickness or getting hurt idc) and in order to keep her memory, dream wears the mask in her absence.”
Dream x fem!reader
trigger warnings: some swears, character death, general angst
premise: in game au; You and Dream have been together since what feels like the beginning of time, and it had always seemed like you would be together, and now he had finally had the confidence to propose, unfortunately, Wilbur and his new developing country of L’manburg have other plans for you
{hhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh this one hurt}
{I listened to Sebelius : Finlandia Op.26 on repeat while writting this and only questioned my sanity twice}
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
You giggled, “Where are we goingg?”
“Somewhere special,” Dream said, raising your entwined hands enough to press a kiss to your knuckles, “Trust me, your going to love it.”
You laughed again, free hand reaching back to adjust the knot holding your mask in pace, “You’re ridiculous.”
Today had marked the four year anniversary since you and Dream had started dating officially, and he had insisted in abandoning all his duties to the smp for a day to take you out.
The two of you had been wandering through the woods for a while now, and you were fairly convinced that he had no idea where he was going, but still you didn’t say anything.
“It should be just through here.” He said, leading you down between two trees.
A moment later you came into a clearing, decorated with lights, a picnic set up in the middle, with a perfect view of the rest of the hill side.
“Oh my god!” You squeaked.
“You like it?” He asked.
“I love it! This is so cute, Dream!”
Dream chuckled, “Bad found the spot, and I got Sapnap to help get all this stuff out here.”
You grinned to a point where he could tell even with your mask on, “It’s perfect.”
Carefully he flicked at the edge of the wide mask, “Take that stupid thing off and kiss me.”
“It’s not stupid!” You protested, “Come on Dream just kiss the smiley face, its good enough.”
Reluctantly he pressed a kiss to the mask and you beamed, immediately moving to slip it off, kissing him properly before going to sit down on the picnic blanket.
You looked back up at him, “While don’t just stand there, come on! Sit with me!”
~~ A while later, after the food had been eaten, you were leaned back against Dream, eyes closed happily, mask still off to the side, “Thank you, for this.”
“Of course.” He smiled, “But, uh, actually there's one other thing?”
You hummed, peaking up at him, “Whats that?”
“Well- I- I’ve been thinking about it for a while and- well- I was wondering, if you’d- if you’d marry me?” He asked.
Your eyes shot open to see the ring box in his hand, “Your- you’re not kidding? This is real- this is for real?”
“Course its real,” He chuckled, “Would you rather have me get on one knee to prove it?”
Dream quickly maneuvered to be In front of you, on one knee, the ring box held out in front of him, “I have loved you, since the beginning of time (y/n) and now I’m asking you to become my wife.”
Your hands moved to your face in shock for a moment before dropping back down as you practically tackled him, “Oh my god!”
“Is that a yes then?” He chuckled, doing his best to sit up with your weight still on him.
You nodded eagerly, and he slipped the ring onto your finger, “I love you.”
“I love you too.”
Dream grinned, kissing you once more- only to be distracted by a yell from down the hill.
“Dream! Dream!”
“Oh god,” He muttered, standing up, “I’ll be right back”
You stood as well, stooping to grab your mask and fastening it on your face before following him.
By the time you had caught up, Sapnap was giving a report on what was going on.
“He’s starting a new country- says their starting a rebellion.”
“Who is?” You asked.
“Wilbur,” Sapnap said curtly, motioning over to where wall were being built, “TommyInnt, Tubbo and Eret have all joined this crazy plan.”
“Thats insane.” You muttered.
Dream frowned, “I won’t have this. We’ll stop them. Sapnap, see too it that all of there resources are destroyed.”
The man nodded, and hurried away, already pulling out his flint and steel, and Dream turned to you, “This is the exact opposite of what I was hoping for today.”
“We’ll figure it out, together.” You assured.
~~
Later that night, after you had returned home, Dream had gone out again, hoping for a civilized discussion with Wilbur, before getting launched into any war.
He stood at the gates of L’manburg, looking up at were Tubbo sat on watch, “I need to speak to Wilbur.”
“Why?” Tubbo challenged.
Dream crossed his arms, “Because this doesn’t have to become something bloody and violent, now get inside and get him.”
Scared, Tubbo quickly scrambled down off the wall and toward one of the buildings that had risen with the walls.
A moment later he came back to open the gates, Wilbur following behind, “I was beginning to wonder when you would show up. I knew you’d have a problem with this.”
“Wilbur whatever this is it needs to be shut down, now.”
“That's exactly what I thought you’d say,” Wilbur said, stuffing his hands in his pockets, “That's what tyrants always say.”
“I am not a tyrant!” Dream protested.
“Is that why you’re forcing your agenda on us? Read the fucking message dick head, we don’t want to deal with you any longer. ‘ere. read this, its the conditions of our independence. We are free and there is nothing you can do to stop us.”
Dream took the book Tubbo thrust into his hands, ‘the declaration of independance’
“Forever the nation of the dream smp has cast sin upon our great land of the hto dog van,” Wilbur quoted, “This book declarers that the nation that shall hence forth be known as the L’manburg is free and independent from the DreamSmp, totally, completely and wholly.”
“You’re starting a fight you can’t finish.” Dream warned, handing the book back.
Wilbur scoffed, “On the contrary Dream. You’ve threatened a country that is more than willing to fight back. Tommy, hurry up and get inside!”
As Wilbur barked the last words Dream turned to see Tommy coming out the darkness, an empty bottle in one hand and a dagger stained a dull rust color in the other.
“It’s done.” The teen muttered.
“She put up a fight?” Wilbur asked.
Tommy, even scared by what he’d done, couldn’t help but look at Dream, a glint in his eye, “(y/n) won’t be a problem anymore.”
On pure instinct Dream ran, the only thing in his mind that he had to get to you.
The stillness of the house was broken as Dream crashed through the door, “(y/n)? (y/n)?!”
Shaking he moved through the house, the was no sign of a struggle, no sign of a break in, but there was a slight lingering affect of a potion in the doorway leading to your shared bedroom.
From the color of the particles he knew it had been weakness, and he carefully pushed through into the room.
It was dark, and for a moment, with your form stretched out in bed, he could almost think that everything was fine, that you were just asleep, waiting for him.
Turning on a light he saw that the reality was much different.
Blood pooled around you, dripping from the bed and soaking the sheets, evidently coming from the gaping holes in your stomach.
The worst part of it was the mask clasped in your hands, held out, almost like you were offering it to him.
“(y/n)...” He whimpered, still frozen in the door, “What do I do? Now that your gone? Oh god what did he do to you?”
Some how the fact that Tommy had seen your face, the one thing you kept hidden from everyone, except him, seemed to hit Dream the hardest, even as you lay dead.
Slowly, he moved forward, taking the mask from your hands.
~~ Dream stood at the top of the hill, looking over the crater.
Somewhere off to the side Phil and Techno were celebrating the victory over everyone, the huge hole where L’manburg had been stretching all the way down the bed rock.
The porcelain was cold against his face, but Dream had long since gotten used to the uncomfortable feeling of the mask.
With the mask that you had given him, the mask he had unwillingly taken from you had kept everyone from knowing his pain. And now, he had made sure they felt all of yours and his own.
The chain with your engagement rings felt heavy around his neck, but he couldn’t help grin at Tommy, who had barley made it out of the wreckage, “Looks like you won’t be a problem anymore.”

Dream SMP Recap (July 6/2021) - Prime Path Renovations
Ponk experiences a setback. He and Foolish discuss Plan 69 together. It’s only a matter of time.
Tommy decides to clear some of the crowded area along the Prime Path by working with Foolish, Antfrost, Ponk, Sam and Bad to tear some unused buildings (and Pride decorations) down.
After Puffy discovers that her L’Targay was one of the builds destroyed, she decides to retaliate.

---
- Ponk tests out his TNT launcher and attempts to fly
- After one of the test runs goes wrong, Ponk dies in an explosion and loses all his items, including the trident. Sammy Wammy is lost forever
- It may be time to activate Plan 69. As Ponk says, it’s all about leverage...
- Ponk retrieves some items, puts on the creeper head and grabs Warden’s Will, Sam’s sword, from his underground base
- Later, Foolish comes online and Ponk meets him at the bank, doing his best Sam impression in the creeper head. She informs him that the plan is coming together, but there is a setback (Ponk claims she was testing the security system on the bank with Sam’s voice)
- The time is soon for Ponk’s arm plan. They show Foolish a chest. Foolish opens it and looks at the contents -- the leverage -- with his screen hidden. He’s shocked
Ponk: “Foolish! It was never in vain! I am twenty steps ahead, Foolish! I am a master of chess! I am the master!”
Foolish: “Do you realize that thing -- that is nuts! Does anyone else know about that?”
Ponk: “No! No one knows, Foolish! No one knows!” (laughs)
Foolish: “And that was like -- I guess I may have to ask you later to explain where you got it, but...”
- Foolish gives Ponk some resources
Ponk: “Our time will come. We will meet again. Very soon, hopefully.”
Foolish: “But you realize -- like, what you have, though -- there’s more than just the thing that we could do, like there’s a lot more--”
Ponk: “Foolish! I am a self-centered person, Foolish. It is only for my gain! And maybe yours!”
Foolish: “Yes, but we could also do it for other gains!”
Ponk: “No! No, Foolish. No, Foolish...Some people are meant to be, in the places they are meant to be. Okay? Alright. I will see you -- I’ll see you later, Foolish.”
- They part ways
- Tommy establishes Spud Lore
- He meets Foolish on the Prime Path and asks about BadBoyHalo’s promo codes. Tommy takes down the charity sign

- Tubbo joins the call and informs him of the copious amounts of TNT in his possession
- Tommy cleans up the Definitely Not Blood while Tubbo pokes Ranboo
- He also wants to make a trapped Freebies Chest
- Sam logs on while Tommy burns down the rainbow wall. Since Antfrost is there, it’s allowed
- The biggest challenge is the flag above the Community House, which is immensely prideful and an unfortunate image to destroy. Tommy takes down the Pride Flag. Antfrost simply watches
- They put the blocks in the Freebies Chest
- Next, they go to inspect the prison. Tommy hates the prison. Antfrost states that it would be a conflict of interest for him, since he works there
- Sam appears at the prison entrance and tells them to stop. Foolish tries to bargain with scaffolding
- Foolish puts on Sam’s head and they face off with Warden Sam. Tommy puts on his own creeper head and proclaims that they should get rid of this prison, as the prison system is flawed!
- Foolish brought pot. Antfrost brought weednip
- Tommy and Foolish go through the prison entrance portal and it gets deactivated by an explosion

- They start deactivating it and Ponk logs on
- Tommy takes down Dream’s honeymoon resort (the iron door structure)

- Tommy joins the VC again with a “’sup, bitches.” Sam tells Tommy that Bad is “on grinder for the experience”
- Tommy says he wants more people to be on the server more often and Foolish and Sam start comparing their server statistics. Tommy has 13 days on the server. Sam has 95 days
- Tommy concludes that he must be Foolish’s father figure and calls Foolish “son”
- Once Tommy leaves, the three go to destroy the ball but Phil joins VC to tell them that if they did that, Wilbur would cry, so they don’t
- Bad tells Ant they should go to Foolish’s summer home to destroy the things that aren’t being used there. They discuss what to destroy and destroy a red tulip
- Then they destroy Ponk’s essential oils shop
- Bad and Ant argue over who gets claim to Alyssa’s house. They go around various areas debating what to destroy
- They go to L’manburg and take down Fundy’s election whitehouse
- Afterwards, they go down into L’manhole and clear the Blood Vines off of the flag
- Foolish and Antfrost go back to Las Nevadas
- Puffy has heard that some damage has been done. She’s been told that there were several people there, including a certain muffinhead, a furry, and most importantly, a child (and also Foolish and Sam)
- Puffy turns on the slow Able Sisters Theme and logs on, immediately seeing the cleared-out L’Targay plot
Puffy: “What in the corporation is this shit?!”
- She walks down the Prime Path, surveying the damage, until she sees that they got rid of the flag as well
- There is now room for retribution. This seems to have been targeted at her
- Puffy goes to Tommy’s house. She could either destroy Tommy’s base, or cover it in rainbows...or...
- She spies the Big Innit Hotel in the background. They could take it a step further...
- She pulls up the stream footage for receipts. She sees Tommy start to destroy the gingerbread house and learns that Antfrost stopped it. Puffy is enraged
- She wonders what Tommy’s favorite tower is and makes her way to the Disruption Tower
- Puffy gets disrupted by the Disruption Tower and then takes part of it down. She gets Disrupted for a few minutes mining before finding out that it was the wrong tower, and it was the Power Tower that was Tommy’s favorite
Puffy: “Blackstone? I thought Tommy hated blackstone.”
- After walking past it several times, Puffy finally identifies the right tower as the Power Tower
- She gets some TNT and explodes Tommy’s house. While storing the dropped items in chests, she notices that Tommy has Schlatt’s bones
- She still remembers when she was living out of a turkey and the turkey was destroyed. While others helped, Tommy was the one who incited it. The others will get repercussions as well though
- Puffy builds Tommy’s house into a mini L’Targay so that when Tommy uses his house, he will finally be using L’Targay as well
- Next, Puffy takes down Antfrost’s gingerbread house and comes across the bathwater chamber
- She goes to Foolish’s summer home to put mustaches on all the statues, but is disappointed to find that they already have mustaches. She starts putting a brown hat on the sphinx when Quackity joins VC
- Quackity asks why Puffy is putting hats on all of Foolish’s builds, and Quackity tells her to leave him alone. Puffy informs him that Foolish is her son. They go back and forth about Puffy’s full name (Puff Big Daddy)
- Quackity is not BadBoyHalo’s mistress
- Puffy tells him about Tommy blowing up all the rainbows, so she blew up Tommy’s house. They chat a bit
- Foolish logs on, Puffy asks him why he helped in the destruction of Targay and Foolish says it was character development
- Then Quackity tells Puffy about how Tommy got exiled. Namely, that Tubbo betrayed him (he does an impression of Tubbo). Foolish sneaks around behind them
Puffy: “Do you think it would be wrong to kill my son on the server?”
Puffy: “Like do I pull a Philza?”
- Quackity says not to even think about touching Foolish. Puffy invites Foolish to the call and Quackity tells Foolish that he is Quackity’s beloved and then starts talking about metabolism articles
- They continue chatting. Puffy shows Foolish the top hats and Foolish says they actually used to have hats not too long ago
- Foolish shows off his Batman skin and Quackity becomes the Joker. They roleplay until the Joker suggests they have a threesome and abruptly cease the bit
- Foolish and Puffy head over to Las Nevadas. Foolish shows Quackity the progress he’s made on the sand and the hotel. They keep doing the Batman impressions, now with an added Bane impression
Quackity: Imagine Bane and the Joker kissing
Foolish: Can we do that?
- They talk quite a bit about Wattpad
- Foolish changes into his Superman skin
- Quackity leaves and Foolish and Puffy continue to talk in Las Nevadas

Upcoming events remain the same.

The Balcony of the Treehouse Pt.6
sleepy bois x reader au
no warnings:)
also merry christmas:)
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
“Is that good or bad” Y/n asked Techno, her gaze soft.
“I'm not sure. He was really cool but..” Techno shrugged his shoulders.
It was currently the next day, and Y/n was accompanying Techno in the treehouse. They were currently discussing Techno’s new friend as of yesterday, Bo. Sam's older son.
Apparently Bo was sorta like Techno in some ways. They were both pretty shy at first but then found some common interest, and became rather comfortable pretty fast. Bo even let Techno ramble about Y/n for a bit and also said he would totally wanna meet her too.
“He's just not me.” Y/n grinned cockily and Techno pushed her shoulder.
“Right.” he rolled his eyes. “How was it with the other boys?”
“It was alright. Surprisingly very chill. I guess Tommy and Tubbo had really tired themselves out in the morning beforehand.” she shrugged. She was telling the truth, they slept for quite a while and were only awake for about an hour before everyone else got back.
“What about Will?” Techno wondered how she handled being around him while he was still..angsty.
Y/n shrugged again. She didn't really want to tell him about the kitchen and how they talked for the whole tiny Tommy and Tubbo napped. Or the cigarettes.
She couldn't stop thinking about how she was sitting on the counter and how he seemed so calm and sweet as if nothing happened.
She just had no idea, he was doing it on purpose. Will figures, if he can ignore his protective and jealous feelings, and maybe just try to get a connection with her. He may actually be able to get somewhere. Techno has the higher ground, he spends all his time with her and he has for years. Wilbur's only just started to in the past year and a half or so.
Wilbur doubts Techno actually has genuine feelings for Y/n. He has no way of genuinely knowing. It's just sort of a hunch. Or a hope maybe.
“He actually asked if i wanted to go to that bonfire thing with him..” her voice was almost a mumble. Just after she said she thought it would be fun, Wilbur explained the next evening they were going down to the beach to have a bonfire and hangout and chill. He said they do it often and it's always really fun.
Techno looked at her, slightly surprised. She wanted to hangout with Wilbur? No way.
“And you said..no..right?” his brows furrowed.
“Well..wait why would I say no?” she looked at him. Her brows furrowed also.
“Well obviously..I- he- what?” Techno shook his head.
“What do you mean what? Why would I have said no? It sounds fun.” she crossed her arms.
Techno stared at her for a moment. He slid a bit forward, so he was a bit closer. He leaned his elbows on his knees and rested his head on his hands. Y/n stared back questioningly.
“Odds.” he stated, staring right into her eyes.
“Techno!” Y/n pushed his leg a bit, and looked away, slightly mad. “What the hell?!”
Odds was something they created when they were young, similar to the game odds, it ends with saying a number between certain odds to help decide something.except that's usually for something like a dare. In this case, they used it in sort of flip of a coin situations, but only when one of them thought it was really really important. And the person that calls odds, gets to pick the odds, ex. 1 through 5 or 1 through 10 etc. they did this so they didn't argue about situations sorta like this.
“If you say the same number as me, 1 through 4, you stay. If not, you can go. odds on your side.” he had 0 emotion to his features.
“That's not fair!” she frowned.
“It is though. I called it.” he shrugged, almost smiling. Almost.
Y/n huffed. “Fine.”
Techno counted them down and on the count of three,
“Two.” they spoke at the same time.
“Fuck!” Y/n hit his knee as Techno grinned. Crisis averted. Or so he thought.
Techno grinned as she huffed and crossed her arms with a pout, shooting daggers with her eyes.
“Hey, it's not that bad! Now I can read you that book you got me.” Techno had a happy little grin on his face.
“Oh no, i'm definitely going.” Y/n said. His smile disappeared instantly.
“What? But- but odds?” his shoulders sank. Y/n alone with will in a car, and then alone with him and his friends, at a bonfire. There would be beer and shit everywhere! He just wanted her with him, safe away from Wilbur's scummy friends.
“I told Will I would! I can't go back on that. That's so rude.” she looked at him with puppy eyes.
Techno glared slightly, looked away, then looked back. She knew the eyes work, he acts all tough but he's too soft for it not to work.
“Okay. but i want you back here, when it's over. Not your house, not inside our house. Treehouse.” he pointed to the floor.
“And then normal sleepover?” Y/n smiled a little.
Techno's face softened as he saw her smile. He tried not to match her smile while shaking his head a little.
“Sure.”
^^^^^^^^^^
“Who's going this time?” Phil asked Wilbur.
It was around 5 or 5:30 and everyone was sat around the dining room table having dinner like they always do. Phil was currently discussing the bonfire with Wilbur, because he wanted to make a guesstimate in his head for how long Will would be gone using context clues. Because Will was never really home by the times he says he will.
“The usual group” Wilbur pointed his fork at his plate. “Oh! And Y/n”
Wilbur looked to her with a grin. Phil, for a lack of better words, looked as if one of his kids just had a pregnancy scare.
“Sorry, “ Phil shook his head slightly, “say that again?”
“Or don't.” Techno mumbled, Y/n jabbed him in the side with her elbow.
“I'm going along! I haven't done anything fun lately so Wilbur offered to let me tag along. It'll be fun.”Y/n shrugged.
Wilbur was beaming, Techno was silently livid, and Phil was looking in between the two very nervously.
The reason Techno was so genuinely angry was because Wilbur looked so smug when they sat down at the table. His grin was from ear to ear and he was excited to talk to Y/n about when she wanted to go and if she needed anything from her house, and the entire time Techno sat and felt his anger levels rise. His ears were hot, his shoulders tense and not a smile in sight.
He wanted to smack the smirk of his brother's face to be frank.
Techno knew what was going to happen. She was going to go with him, and have an amazing time. Great, right? Wrong. Clear to Techno, this was some evil master plan. Wilbur was going to give her more friends she would only go see with him. So when she wanted to spend time with these new people she had to also see him. And obviously at first she'll be all she so he gets to confront her and break her out of her shell. Techno knows how social Y/n can be, and she loves meeting new people! He hated to say it, but his brother was a genius.
Techno's fingers were starting to tremble.
What if she did like them? And wanted to see them more? What if they're cooler than him and what if they do drugs? Y/n wouldn't do drugs..would she?
His breath was slowly starting to catch up on him. He excused himself quickly and made his way off to the bathroom.
The crisp sound of the door creaking filled his ears as his back slid against it till he was on the floor.
His mind was running rampant.
How well does he really know Y/n? What could she possibly want with a bonfire when she has him and the treehouse? Is he not enough for her? Should he try to make more friends?
What was wrong with him?
He clutched his leg as he silently shook and took tiny shallow breaths.
Soon enough, just as he was starting to be able to allow more air into his lungs there was a soft knock on the door.
“Techno?..” Phil's voice was soft on the other side of the door.
Techno sniffled as he stood, he brushed himself off, and took a deep breath pushing all emotion from his features. He reached over and flushed the toilet a few feet in front of him, then he ran the sink for a moment before opening the door with one hand wiping on his leg.
“Hm?” he raised his brows.
Phil stared at him, analyzing his face fully. He looked fine, sort of. He looks normal to anyone who isn't his father per say. Phil could see behind his cold eyes he had been crying. No matter how much he pushed his emotions down, he couldn't push away the puffy eye bags or the glossy sheen, though they were actually very subtle.
A simple arm was raised and Techno immediately fell into him, deadweight in his arms. Phil held him tightly, silently. He pressed his cheek onto Techno's head, brushing down the unruly tangles in his hair.
There were no words spoken, they stood silently. Phil knew Techno wasn't going to tell him anything so he did not bear to try.
A little bit of time passed, and they broke apart to make their way back when Phil leaned over,
“Laugh with me like we said something funny. Trust me.”
Techno stared at him for a moment, and then giggled softly. Phil joined him and their laughs were terribly fake which caused more laughter and soon it became real laughter as they were walking into the dining room.
Y/n was staring at a babbling Tommy, while Wilbur was on his phone. Y/n immediately looked to Techno once he was in the room, a worried look on her eyes that disappeared as she saw his face. She was worried for nothing.
Phil patted Techno's back softly as they both picked up their plates to clean them, Tommy following suit with his father and older brother. Will and Y/n stood to do the same.
“Alright dad, think we're gonna head off.” Wilbur said, his grin authentic.
Phil nodded, “Right, don't forget to send me a ping when you get there and on your way home.” he pointed a winger between the pair, both nodded.
Techno stared aimlessly as he watched his girl walk out the door with his brother.
He hoped she was going to have fun.
As soon as both doors to the front seats of Will's car closed, Wilbur looked at her excitedly.
He turned the car on and pulled from the driveway, “Are we excited?”
“You can say that.” her smile was small.
“Don't be nervous, you're gonna love them and they're gonna love you. It's gonna be great.”
Y/n stared at him for a moment, he read her so easily. He looked so giddy. Was it because of her? She didn't want to get cocky but she'd never seen him this excited to see his friends before.
Wilbur's mind was running wild, he was alone with her for once, and then she got to hangout with his people. He even had a small surprise for her that he was even more excited for.
Y/n was progressively getting more and more nervous as they drove silently. She was starting to overthink. As she listened to her thoughts quietly, she failed to notice her leg start to bounce.
Will placed a gentle hand on her knee, “None of that. Nothing to be worried over. I wouldn't have asked you to come if i didn't know for a fact they'd like you.” his eyes broke away from the road momentarily. Y/n nodded. She trusted him.
Soon the smell of saltwater filled the car. Y/n took a quiet deep breath. Letting it fill her lungs. She slowly calmed herself, trying not to think of the hand on her knee, it would only fuel her nervous fire.
Y/n felt strange being here without Techno. It felt wrong. She rarely ever goes anywhere he isn't. He's practically glued to her 85% of the time.
Which was why when she was first meeting Wilbur's “crew”, she felt like a fish out of water.
Even with Wilbur's comforting hand holding hers, she felt stiff and awkward. They were all intimidating, the dudes were tall and confident and the girls were all gorgeous and sweet. Confident too.
She did notice, one of the boys seemed much more approachable. He stood at the back of the group while introductions were going around, she learned his name was Eret and he was one of Wilbur's newer friends but he was really cool.
Wilbur beamed at Y/n as he told her about his friends, his hand was still gentle and it made her smile.
Wilbur was happy she was getting a bit comfortable.
Once they felt everyone had been thoroughly introduced, they all started placing blankets on the sand around the large fire they'd made before Will and her had arrived.
Wilbur set down a blanket he brought and motioned for her to sit with him. When she sat down, he leaned over to speak into her ear, “See, nothing to worry about, yeah?”
He leaned away, showing her a grin. She smiled and shook her head at his silly little grin.
This was really fun.
She loved hearing these kids talk, there was even one girl like her whose parents were also never home. She liked her. The girl even offered that they go drive around some time! When she said that, Y/n of course nodded eagerly.
Wilbur, well he couldn't keep his eyes off her. He loved seeing her like this, it was like she was in her element. Meeting new people and making connections. It's a shame Techno has hogged her from people for so long. He resented him for that. To be fair, it's been like that since they've met. Wilbur saw her all the time, but only in brief interactions up until highschool.
She was so sweet, excited to talk to all of them even though he knew she was nervous, and Wilbur knew his friends loved her already. How could they not?
Wilbur was about to try to get her to talk to him for a little, seeing as how they'd been there for almost 45 minutes already and had barely spoken to him, but he was taped on the shoulder as a signal there was about to be a cigarette break out in the parking lot.
Wilbur stood, and leaned down to Y/n whispering to her where he was going. Just before he was about to go, he placed a soft kiss to her forehead.
Her eyes were wide.
“Look a bit..surprised there?” it was Eret, he sat down on the blanket next to Y/n just after seeing Will was about to go for a butt. He didn't want Y/n to sit all alone.
“I um..no yeah he just..its nothing.” Y/n laughed at her own lack of words, and Eret did too.
“I take it you two aren't official or anything?” his voice was low, and almost gravely but it was still so comforting.
Y/n knew he didn't mean it as if he were trying to make a move on her, he sounded genuinely curious.
“No it's..complicated. Very complicated.” Y/n stared at the fire.
“If I'm not prying, how so? You both seem..really..content together.” he looked from her to the fire.
“I..well his brother is my..best friend and he..”
“He..?” Eret leaned in a little.
“Well i don't know what he is to me really.” she looked at him, her face in question at her own realization.
“Well I know for a fact, he's infatuated with you.”
Y/ns eyes were wide again, “what?”
“Oh he's always going on about you.” Eret had a cheeky grin, almost like Will’s she thought, “He's been talking about you meeting all of us since he asked you yesterday. Not to mention he’s..” Eret stopped himself. He got carried away in his little ramble.
“He's what?” Y/n was confused why he stopped himself.
“No no, I really shouldn't have said anything.” he waved his hand as if he were brushing away his words.
Y/n groaned and threw her head back, “You can't do that!”
Eret laughed, “I'm sorry!”
“Tell me please.” she looked at him with pleading eyes.
Eret stared at her for a moment and sighed. “He's in love with you. But i don't know if you know that or not..so..” she did not. “I think I'm the only one hes told, but he was so...I don't know how to explain it. When he told me he sounded like he was pouring his heart out.” Eret’s eyes were on the fire.
He was in love with her?
Y/ns heart ached. No wonder he was so...hurt. It was her fault too.
As if on cue, (this boy was terribly good with timing) she felt a familiar hand on her shoulder as it slid around her shoulders. Will pulled her to his chest as he sat behind her. He smelled of smoke, but it was comforting. Before she thought about it, or what they were doing, she leaned back into him. The rest of the group took back their seats and conversion rose again.
Y/n an Wilbur sat listening quietly until she heard Will's voice in her ear.
“Chatting it up with Eret while I was gone?” his arm was still across her chest, his hand on her shoulder.
“I was, he's really nice.” she turned to look at him.
“Yeah?” he smiled at her in the dim light of the fire. She smiled back and nodded.
Wilbur stared at her a moment, “How about..we get out of here, and I show you another pretty place?” he was still smiling, but his eyes were nervous for a response.
“Sure. Sounds fun.” she gave him a reassuring smile.
Wilbur was quick to get up. Telling the group they were heading off, a little too excitedly.
Before Wilbur could pull her away, she quickly got all of the girls numbers and was even added to a group chat. She was beaming once they reached the car.
“And she even told me that i could go and hangout when they went to her house! Isn't that so sweet.” she looked at Will towards the end of her sentence to see he was already staring at her, his hand on the wheel in front of him.
His lip was in between his teeth, “Mhm. I knew you'd get along swimmingly with them.”
Y/n giggled.
“So where are we going?” she smiled to herself as Wilbur put his hand on her knee.
“Not saying, but, it's not far at all. We're practically there.” he was exaggerating, but the ride wasn't long at all.
Even though he wasn't, Wilbur felt as if he was driving slow. He felt like time was still, and he was glad. He wanted this to last as long as it could.
Y/n would have never expected what she saw, she was expecting a pretty clif with a view, or something like that.
He brought her to a flower field.
He parked the car on the side of the road towards the middle of the field.
Once they'd both stepped out, Wilbur went to her side.
“Up you go, turn around.” he motioned up at the top of his car. Y/n stared at him for a moment before turning around and letting him hoist her up so she could climb on top of the car. He climbed up after her and sat beside her.
For a little while, Y/n stared at the way the moonlight was casting a blue white onto the field and all the flowers. Wilbur stared at her. They sat this way for a little while but Y/n was the first to break the silence.
“A little birdy..told me something interesting.” she looked at him.
“Hm?” he hummed.
“Is it hard?” Y/n was staring at the moon, her hand was picking at the seam of her jeans.
“Is what hard?” Wilbur stared at her feet as they swung back and forth.
“..being in love with me.” she looked up at him, her eyes starry.
“Maybe. But it doesn't have to be.”

TommyInnit Confession HCs
This is a combination of an imagine and some headcanons, this is a new way of writing for me so let me know if you enjoyed this format!
- Tommy realising he loves the reader and how he’d confess to them -
Tommy definitely would deny being interested in the reader in the beginning.
It would probably be a natural progression of feelings but tommy just wouldn’t realise it until WAY too late.
Like he just catches himself thinking about them when he’s just doing schoolwork and chores. And then he’s aware of just how much his mind wanders to them. Far too often in his humble opinion.
He lays hints about his crush when talking with Tubbo. He’s real defensive about it though. “You much of a ladies man Tubbo?” Trying to discretely get advice without actually asking for any. And Tubbo being Tubbo means he completely missed all the hints Tommy was dropping. (Not that Tommy’s hints were any good)
His stream for sure notices a change in his behavior, more scatterbrained showing visible signs of stress maybe a little more irritable too. Tubbo definitely notices the changes too and asks him about it.
Tubbo would probably ask tommy on stream or in private something along the lines of. “What’s up Tommy, you’ve been kinda uh, distracted lately…”
Tommy for suuuuuure blushes and stutters out a response that even Tubbo doesn’t buy. (So instead he talks to Tubbo about it off stream, doesn’t mention his crushes name, but he keeps Tubbo in the loop. Tubbo finds the whole thing very funny because of how defensive Tommy gets in response, however he offers his support to Tommy, obviously. “Even though I have no experience with romance Tommy. I’ll do my best to be the best wingman ever!” With a salute to Tommy on his webcam. Tubbo quickly leaves the call saying he needs to do some ‘research’ (he puts the word in quotation marks with a wink)
Tommy would be a stubborn flustered MESS if stream ever figured out that he was crushing on someone.
And of course they find out because Tubbo slips up and mentions Tommy having a crush.
By that point he is absolutely CONSUMED by his thoughts about the reader as the more he tries to not think about them the more he wishes he was with them.
He also would 10000% be ignoring or avoiding his crush for as long as possible because he knows he wouldn’t be able to utter a single word to their face. His usual ‘big man’ façade would be in absolute shambles if he were around the reader during this time.
There would be a lot of internal and external swearing from Tommy when he finally realises and accepts that he likes you though.
However, this acceptance doesn’t make him any less stressed because now he needs to figure out whether he is even going to tell you!
But he knows he can’t keep living like this as he can’t keep avoiding his crush forever. And he knows the next time he sees you he knows his heart is going to literally burst out of his chest. And he won’t be able to stop himself. So, he devises a plan.
He gets a pep talk from Tubbo in which they help brainstorm his confession plan but he finds himself messaging Wilbur one late night after his stream. “Hey, can I get some advice?” Wilbur is shocked. “Tommyinnit asking ME for advice? Never thought I’d see the day.”
Wilbur teases him for a short while surely. But when Tommy finally puts his pride aside and tells Wilbur about his crush he sobers up quick and dishes out some solid advice and support for Tommy. “In exchange for my services I better be meeting this crush of yours Tommy.” “You got it big man.”
After speaking with Wilbur Tommy feels as if he can finally breathe for the first time in weeks since he first started to realise his feelings for the reader.
CONFESSION DAY!
Tommy sends the reader a text in the mid-morning asking if they wanted to hang out sometime later today. Also apologizing for how ‘busy’ he’s been the last few weeks using schoolwork or chores as his excuse.
He’s furiously texting Tubbo the WHOLE time he’s waiting for a reply from them. Tubbo pulls Tommy onto Minecraft to try and take his mind off the situation. Offline of course, Tommy would not be able to handle streaming right now.
Even Wilbur sends him a few messages to check in, jumping on discord to give his ear for Tommy to chew off. Which he most definitely does.
Eventually his phone dings and Tommy DIVES for it. “THEY SAID YES!” Both Wilbur and Tubbo groan from Tommy’s mic peaking with his screech.
Tommy waits for a few minutes before replying per Tubbo’s request. “I read it online! You don’t want to seem too into them.” He proclaims with false authority as Wilbur chuckles in the background of the call.
The rest of the afternoon blurs for Tommy as he stays on call with Wilbur and Tubbo as they do their best to distract his overactive mind.
However, as the clock ticks on he knows he needs to start getting ready or he’s going to be late.
Wilbur demands that he choose Tommy’s outfit. So for the next half hour Tommy proceeds to perform a free fashion show for the two, only for Phil to join for a short while to give his two cents before going back to his stream.
Eventually Wilbur settles on what he dubbed “-a classic Tommyinnit look-” one of his favourite red shirts paired with one of his nicer black jackets and the dark charcoal pants his mum had made him get a few months ago for a wedding. They are very uncomfortable.
Tommy heaves a sigh as he thanks Wilbur and Tubbo for sticking around with him today. They both send him away, “Good luck Tommy!” “Go get ‘em big man.”
Tommy had agreed to meet the reader at the park, he thought dinner would have been a bit much. Wilbur and Tubbo both agreed on that front. This park was right near the water, so it had a great view of the sunset. He was still pretty chuffed about that fact, his chat was sooo wrong, he could be romantic if he wanted to after all.
Of course, he was a little late. He repeatedly told his mum to speed. She refused of course. His mother of course had noticed exactly what this ‘hang out’ was and had quizzed him about his crush the night prior.
“Don’t leave the car mum.” Tommy was quick to warn her, he did not want her to be anywhere near them. She didn’t need any more dirt on him to embarrass him with. She could end his whole streaming career in an instant if she wanted. A truly terrifying thought.
Tommy was quick to move near the waterfront puffing slightly, nose a tinge pink with the oncoming chilly wind from the lake. “Hey Tommy.” Tommy would freeze instantly before quickly turning with a forced smile, a little too big for his face. “Hey!”
His crush would lead Tommy over to the nearby bench they had been sitting on before he arrived. And they would definitely sit closer to Tommy than he would have wanted.
Tommy would be so obvious. Stuttering over his words, a LOT of frantic hand movements whenever he’s speaking to them.
Mid-conversation his crush starts to laugh. “Tommy I think I’ve figure out why you have been ‘busy’ recently.” Tommy stills immediately, sweat dripping off of him in POOLS. “H-Huh!?” He makes a noise in the back of his throat that he has NEVER made before.
This seems to only make his crush laugh more, they turn fully to him and take one of his clammy hands. He quickly goes to yank it from their grip knowing how sweaty it is. But their grip is strong, and surprisingly calm in contrast to his shaking hands. He gulps simply staring at the spot where their hands are touching. “Tommy.” His gaze snaps up to their smiling face hiding slight worry. “Breathe.” And he finally does. His tense shoulders drop, and their hand leaves his. And suddenly he’s laughing harder than he ever has before realizing how ridiculous he’s being right now. And when he looks over, so is his crush.
The conversation from that point on flows naturally as the two finally begin to catch up after not seeing each other for a few weeks.
Tommy finally realises how comfortable they make him feel. He simply stares at them as they speak. Awed that it took him this damn long to figure out he liked them.
His crush stops talking, noticing him staring. He jumps out of his thoughts, “Hey Tommy, take a picture it’ll last longer.” And suddenly he’s sweating all over again as they laugh.
His crush is having the time of their life watching ‘big man’ Tommy squirm beside them. Trying his best to scrounge up the courage to say something, anything to them.
They open their mouth to speak when suddenly Tommy yells, “I LIKE YOU!”
Tommy isn’t even looking at them, he has his eyes squeezed shut and he thrusts his arm outwards holding something which promptly shoves into his crush’s chest. Effectively winding them.
They wheeze in response, “Me too. Don’t know why though goD!” They push out through gasps of air, pressing a hand to their chest. Pain beginning to subside as Tommy realises he literally just punched his crush.
His jaw drops and his silence continues as they take what was in his hands. A small book.
A scrapbook.
His crush’s face softens as they flip through the photos, memories flooding back to them of days long gone by.
Tommy stayed up all night yesterday just to finish the final details on the scrapbook, it isn’t the most aesthetically pleasing thing. (Even he knows that) But he put his heart and soul into it.
“Very sweet of you Tommy. But I didn’t bring anything for you…” They end up mumbling in response. Tommy only grins. “So you like it?” They scoff and finally pull Tommy in for a hug. He stills for a moment, then melts into their hold.
Tommy mumbles his apology for literally punching them into his crush’s hair. They giggle into his chest in response, letting him know that it’s fine, they’re okay. Tommy mumbles something incoherent into their hair and presses a cautionary kiss to the top of their head.
“AWWWWW!” A loud noise comes from behind their bench. Tommy and his crush dive apart only to see Tommy’s mum hidden behind a nearby tree.
“MUUUUUUUUUM!” Tommy screeches as his crush cackles out a laugh.
Tommy’s mum ends up driving his crush home as well, they sit in the back seat of the car holding hands.
“This didn’t go at all how I’d planned…” Tommy complains with a deep pout. “Oh really? Your plan didn’t involve punching me? Huh?” Their crush sniggers at him.
“Oh! His real plan-“ His mother starts and in order to cut her off Tommy just starts yelling at the top of his lungs “Nononono!!”. Causing his crush to burst into laughter as the two try to increase their volumes to drown out the other.
His crush shakes their head with a grin and wonders what the hell they’ve just gotten themselves into.

Be Okay
Part 8
Part 9 [CURRENT]
Part 10
DT: @petrichormeraki @applepie1000 @jump-in-the-cadillac @ivorylin
Enjoy!
------------
The kids were fast asleep in their room, all drained of their energy reserves from playing so much with each other. In the living area, Fundy sat on the couch, staring out the window. The sound of a throat clearing brought him back to reality. Turning to his side, he saw Tommy hold out a cup of tea to him, his own cup of tea in his other hand. Accepting the drink with a nod, Fundy took small sips as he enjoyed the calming sensation in the room. He shifted over on the couch, allowing space for Tommy to settle down. The two sat in a comfortable silence, one that Fundy was nervous to break.
“I’m glad you’re not dead, Tommy”
He willed himself to look over at his uncle, not sure what to expect. He still remembered his uncle as a brash, loud, spirited teenage boy, so it was strange to see him the way he was an adult. Sill startled with how calm the boy could be, Fundy watched as Tommy, eyes closed, simply nodded as he took a sip of his tea. Letting out a sigh, Tommy opened his eyes, staring at the ceiling with a warm look in his eyes.
“I’m also glad that I’m not dead”
The two sat in silence once more, their teas running low. After looking around the room, Fundy spoke up once more.
“Did you actually build your house? I remember that you always hated building.”
The low chuckle of his uncle made him squirm. It wasn’t that he was scared or uncomfortable with it, it was just that it had been so long. When was the last time Fundy just sat down, warm drink in hand, just to stay up and talk to Tommy? His mind immediately went back to the days of his childhood, before the wars forced his mind to shift his body into an older state. He remembered how Tommy would rush to his room, no matter how old Fundy was, just to calm him and keep him from waking a very tired, lonely Wilbur. He remembered how Tommy would carry him into the kitchen, letting him sit on the counter as long as Wilbur never found out he did so. He would watch as his uncle made two cups of hot cocoa, and took Fundy back to his room. The two would sit in silence, listening to Tommy’s discs, until Fundy would fall asleep. Sometimes, if Fundy had a very bad nightmare, they would stay up and talk the night away. Until this very moment, Fundy didn’t realize how much he missed times like this. Smiling down at his tea, he listened as Tommy spoke up.
“Yeah, I built this house. Did it myself, too. It was the first official build, aside from my bench in the market, on this server. Everyone else was so focused on teaching me how to properly build and work with all sorts of materials, so I eventually made them proud by creating this. I’ve noticed that it’s been slowly growing as the days go by. It’s quite comforting, really.”
“And this adventure park you’ve been advertising? When will it be done? Who helped?”
“Innit an Adventure? Built that all by myself, no help at all. It’s already done being built, I just pushed opening day back a few months so the server can properly prepare to hosts the guests.”
Fundy nodded as he hummed in acknowledgment, a habit he had picked up from Tommy when he was much younger. No longer afraid of the possibility of being thrown out by his uncle, Fundy continued the conversation.
“So Tubbo and the girls are doing good? Tubbo just vanished the same day you did, and Drista stopped visiting after a while.”
“They’re doing perfectly fine, actually. They all live in Stampy’s Lovely World. It’s a nice server, I’m glad that they ended up there. Hey, Fundy?”
“Hm?”
“I hope you don’t mind me asking, but how’s the server?”
Tommy watched as his nephew deflated, a shaky sigh leaving him. Not wanting to push the boy past his limits, Tommy was quick to speak up once again.
“You don’t have to answer me right now, I understand needed to wait before discussing certain things.”
“No, you deserve to know the situation. It’s, well, it’s complicated? So much has happened since you and Tubbo left the server. I’m not even completely sure as to what’s all happening because went into hiding. I do know that Philza and Technoblade have gone around, destroying anything that they identified as a government. Dream went off the rails searching for the two of you, and he’s threatened and punished anyone he though was hiding you guys from him. We received some new players in the server. They’ve helped settle down some of the threats. Oh, remember that weird red stuff that was spreading?”
“Yeah, what was that shit, anyways?”
“Apparently it sprouted from that egg, you know, from that weird egg propaganda? It started possessing and corrupting the members of the Badlands. From what I’ve heard, it’s been temporarily contained and the possessed members have returned to their normal state, but who knows how long that will last. When I left, the containment seemed so unstable. Oh, there is the thing with Wilbur.”
“What about Wilbur?”
“The last time I stumbled upon Philza, he was trying to resurrect him. I don’t know if they succeeded, though. Quite frankly, I’m not sure if I want to know.”
He felt like a jerk telling his uncle, the brother of his dad, that he wasn’t even sure that he wanted his dad to be alive. He didn’t even bring himself to explain his reasons for it, how he was scared whether or not his dad would be the dad he used to have, or the one that was barely recognizable. His negative thoughts, however, melted away as he felt a hand on his shoulder. Looking over at his uncle, he didn’t expect to see the understanding grin that danced on Tommy’s lips. He didn’t expect to hear the broken, wavering voice of Tommy.
“I know.”
Fundy stiffened as Tommy put an arm around his nephew, pulling him in for a side hug. After moments of hesitation, Fundy eventually relaxed in the embrace. It had been so long since Fundy has felt such affection by family that wasn’t his son. He sucked in a breathe as he tried to not let out the sob that was bubbling up inside him. Once he heard Tommy’s voice, however, he allowed tears to escape. It was okay, though, because he knew Tommy was letting his own tears out as well. And as Tommy put a hand on Fundy’s head, lightly scratching his comfort spot between his ears, Fundy couldn’t stop the half sigh, half sob that escaped his lips. And as soon as Tommy spoke up again, he let out all the hurt he kept cooped up out, in the form of messy sobs.
“It’s okay, Fundy, you can let it out now. You’re free now. You’ll be okay.”
------------
Fundy felt relieved that he didn’t have to be on guard all hours of both day and night. He was grateful that Tommy let him sleep in that morning, assuring him that he would handle the kids’ breakfast. Yawning as he stretched out his limbs, waking himself up, he smiled as he looked around the guest room that would be converted to his own. Don’t get him wrong, Fundy adored Theo, but it was nice to be able to wake up without fear or stress regarding his son’s health and safety. When he walked into the kitchen, he couldn’t help but smile as the kids helped Tommy with breakfast. As Tommy set down the hot cakes on plates, the kids fought over the fruit and syrup to decorate them. And as Theo laughed aloud, smiling brightly, Fundy realized that he didn’t regret a thing regarding his son.
“Papa! Look! Clem and I made this one to look like you!”
Fundy laughed as he walked over to the kids, saying a quick greeting to his uncle. Accepting the plate from the two children, he smiled down at the beaming faces in front of them. Watching as the two settled themselves on the counter, he took turns ruffling their hair with his free hand.
“Look at you two! Wonderful artists! Good job! Thank you!”
Delighted with the praises, Clem squealed as she clapped her hands, hopping up and down as she sat on her side of the counter. Theo laughed as he joined in on the clapping, equally as delighted as his younger cousin. Fundy just laughed as he helped Tommy carry the plates to the table, the children waddling behind once they were released from their tall prisons. Sitting Theo down beside Clementine, Fundy watched as Tommy poured drinks for everyone. And as they all sat down to enjoy breakfast as a family, Fundy knew that Tommy was right.
He would be okay.

Just A Bet (GeorgeNotFound)
MASTERLIST
pairing : georgenotfound / george x reader - dreamwastaken/dream / clay x reader
summary : you’re just a bet to him. that is, until he realizes that you’re someone with a title. he scrambles to pick up your broken pieces, but he doesn’t realise that he’s too late. (angst) (trigger warning) (happy ending)
a/n : here’s sorta a little AU for you guys, don’t take any of this seriously, some things in this are clearly made up. side note ; holy shit i have more than a 100 followers right now. thank you so so much.
everyone has probably dreamt of being a princess, a real one. for example, when the movie ‘the princess diaries’ came out, people wanted to be mia thermopolis and rule genovia.
sounds like a dream, that is, to be going to high school and have plenty of paparazzi’s chasing you, or to be able to be recognized everywhere.
in reality, it is the complete opposite of living the dream. you could barely walk out without being recognized if you didn’t cover up your face in some way. you were restricted to do many things, even to just hang out with your friends to grab lunch.
to other people, they might just tell you to suck it up, that in the end of the day, you’re royalty, and that these are only tiny problems.
you agreed, sure. but you did want to smell the fresh flowers outside. you wanted to be able to get food from wherever, with whoever without people’s prying eyes.
you just wanted freedom.
to whom might be reading this might be confused. you’re a princess. just like the movie, yes. princess of saudi arabia, you are.
you are fairly young, still in your twenties. most people your age are out having fun going on a girls night, or still studying for their degrees, or even working right now.
but you were prohibited to leave the castle. you were told to leave on the queen’s orders, only during meal times.
some days, you really liked it, being a princess. if you weren’t being egoistical, you would say that your face really did suit the royal title.
you didn’t have to leave your room to make stacks of money. but the problem with that was, what would you do with the money if you couldn’t leave the house?
so you went on the internet. you settled on the internet. with the queen’s permission, of course.
sure, she can be strict like all the time, but she tried her best to give you your freedom. so she let you have social media accounts. you being you, the public immediately found your accounts.
you couldn’t find new friends, they were too scared to come across you. so you just entertained yourself.
this isn’t bragging, but a lot of people knew who you were, but that doesn’t mean everyone does.
since you barely had a childhood, with being born and raised royal, you entertained yourself watching minecraft youtubers. for some reason, it calmed you.
dream team, as you called the group, caught your eye. you watched all of their videos, caught up with every single live streams of theirs, even followed their instagrams and twitters.
one morning, when you woke up, you found your instagram notifications fuller than other days. you were fairly confused. that is, until you realised that the whole of dream team had followed you back.
they definitely know who you are and what you do now, right? they have a large fanbase, surely, they would’ve told the boys.
your followers, since seeing the boys follow you, have told you to start playing games. you didn’t disappoint them. you asked your parents if you could and they granted you permission to do whatever you wanted.
they told you “this would entertain the public and love you even more.” and smiled at you. you thought maybe they hit themselves in the head today with the leniency they gave you. but you pushed that thought. maybe they thought you have grown old enough.
valkyrae, a streamer on twitch had reached out to you after knowing about your gaming desires. she asked if you wanted to join her and her group to play among us together.
you almost immediately agreed and the rest of her friends welcomed you in with opened arms.
your mum gave you one condition, that you had to follow in order to film yourself playing games. that is, if you kept yourself poised and respectable. you agreed to her shenanigans and started to play with rae.
playing with her meant that you met countless different content creators, such as corpse husband and pokimane. they all were super nice to you, even when you had told them that they didn’t have to be nice to you because of your title.
soon you had found yourself in an amazing group of friends and you felt great about yourself.
you and rae had sustained such amazing friendship that she had came over to your house multiple times for meals.
you’d text her “come over to my house, let’s eat lunch.”
and she’d reply with “your castle you mean?” she jokes around.
your friendship was loved by many people out there.
one thing you didn’t say was that not everyone was obligated to know who you are, which then happens to be funny to see when they did end up finding out who you are.
just the fact that they show such shock to their faces, and the tone in their voice changes.
“holy fuck, she’s royal.” toast says as he came back from googling your name to know more about how you came about in a game of among us.
“i’m so sorry for the past rounds.” he apologizes for the time he accuses you for no reason.
“please treat me the same way you used to, i’m just y/n when i’m playing games, definitely not a princess.” you told him.
you didn’t have a big ego, although your parents did. “they need to know that you’re important.” they told you, but it never stuck to you. you wanted to be respected as a person, for your personalities, not because of a stupid title you were born in.
sykkuno, rae and you had decided to make an smp, where you three would start building things for fun and stream it.
you three had enough fun until it got boring, for you to start asking your other friends to join. the first person you offered to tour your little world was corpse since you and him had clicked so well.
because you started playing minecraft and streaming it, it got the attention of minecraft youtubers. and for some reason, the seventeen year old, tommyinnit had found you interesting enough to talk to you.
with tommy being that close to you, you attracted tubbo and wilbur soot, as well.
“i am in a vc with a princess.” tommy had said on stream when you two decided to play minecraft along with tubbo and wilbur.
sure, the teenage boy got a little annoying at times, but you found it entertaining and funny. of course, tommy being tommy, he’d ask slightly personal questions about how royalty works in saudi arabia.
not that he knew how royalty works in general, anyways.
“the queen is still my favourite woman, but you come in close second.” he told you once. you laughed at that.
no big title could stop you from fangirling the moment the man, dream itself had sent you a donation, and then later sending you a direct message.
“let’s play minecraft together soon, seen me your discord.” he dmed you one day. of course you complied.
for some reason, you never had the chance to play with george, and you played minecraft with sapnap and dream separately, never together. not that you were complaining.
you decided on a more chill and laid back stream on that specific day, not really feeling like going on a minecraft server or play among us with your bestfriends when you got a text from an unknown number.
hey. they sent
who’s this? you sent a text back.
my bad, this is george. they sent a text back to you.
holy shit. why would george text you. sure, you have played minecraft and among us with him sometimes but he isn’t one to give out his number so this was weird to you.
although you consider to be close to the entirety to the dream team, you often tried to avoid texting them, especially outside of streaming. you didn’t want it to be awkward or tense.
surprisingly, as your conversation with george lengthened, it became less and less awkward. the more you two texted, the more you felt like you and him had been friends for the longest time.
being the princess, raised in a castle meant that you didn’t really have a social life. other than being put together with some prince of another country in hopes you’ll fall in love with them or marry them, you haven’t really had a legitimate boyfriend. not even a crush.
to you, the princes in the world can be arrogant, snobby. they act like they are the most important thing in the world, that if they walk in a restaurant, everyone was to drop all their work for other people to entertain them.
sure, this could just be the way that they were raised, but you didn’t want that in a man, a husband. it wouldn’t kill to be a little humble.
princes are also a bore. they live practically the same lifestyle as you. conversations were never interesting, always the usual.
to summarise this, since you and george have been talking and texting, you had fallen for him. hard. and it seems like he’s feeling the same way, just that the both of you hadn’t really said anything.
-
DREAM’S POV
being really close friends with someone, more than one person, bestfriends, that is, meant that we had a group chat together.
nothing constructive was ever said, only boys being boys.
nick was the one to bring it up. and since he is the youngest, he sure does say some stupid things.
dude, you should try to get in y/n’s pants. nick asked george in the groupchat.
there was a running joke between the nick and i. george lives under a rock, basically. when everyone was walking on eggshells around you, trying not to offend a princess, he never really cared.
and that was when nick and i found out that george had no clue you held such a title on your pretty little head.
you are a beautiful girl, no doubting that. i was sure that many people, even before you started streaming had a major crush on you. george definitely fits right in. he was practically vomiting hearts when he first saw you.
it was meant to be funny. it was never meant to go this far. nick didn’t mean for his little bet to break a heart, let alone a princess.
but he did. well, technically george did. he was so brutal with it. he toyed with your feelings, like he had no care in this world.
no one would’ve guessed that the little cute, short george would do something as bad as he did.
and now, no one can find you. no one.
you were there, smiling in front of your camera one day and you were gone the other. just gone. no one knew where you went.
granted, you are royal. it must not be hard to get people to hide you. but at the same time, you had major reporters trying to find you. and they couldn’t. what does that leave us?
where did you go?
come back.
and although i know you want to hear this from george instead of his friends, you won’t. because he probably doesn’t.
we miss you.
please just text us, we need to know you’re safe.
-
YOUR POV
you left. you had to. it had been extremely humiliating.
you didn’t think someone as sweet as george would do that, it all happened so quick.
you had flown to england to meet him. he encouraged you to. it felt amazing to leave your hometown, you’ve lived there all your life. you definitely needed to fresh air.
it took a lot of convincing your parents to let you fly to england. without a doubt, you knew that the only way you’ll get to leave is if you had a guard with you.
this isn’t that kind of cliche story, your guard could literally be your dad, get your head out of the gutter, you are utterly in love with george, and you were sure george knew that and that’s why he encouraged you to fly to him.
the first couple of days were fun. he brought you to all over brighton for you to experience what it’s like in england. he told you he wanted you to get your first real experience as a tourist, and that was what he did.
winding down for the night, you brought him to relax in your hotel suite. frankly, george was surprised that you could afford such a place. but he didn’t want to ask where you got the money from, he didn’t really care.
all he wanted to do was to complete his dare. his ego was too big to lose this time.
that night was when you decided to tell him about your feelings about him. you were pretty confident that it was going to go smooth sailing. just the way he treated you showed so much about his feelings.
so you did, you told him. while you told him that you love him, more than friends love each other, he looked you in the eyes. you weren’t sure what that meant.
but he smiled. or smirked, you weren’t sure.
and he kissed you. and the night didn’t end with you just kissing.
so you thought the night was amazing, that it couldn’t get any better than that.
that was, until you woke up the next morning.
-
you woke up, sun shining straight into your suite, curtains wide open.
although you didn’t really feel the presence of another person in the room with you, you brushed it off. you felt like something was off, that something was missing.
you rolled over in your hotel bed, to see if the british man was laying next to you.
he wasn’t. in fact, he was not in the hotel room at all. you checked the bathroom, the small little living room in your suite. he was found nowhere.
you tried to see if he had left traces of himself in your hotel room, a sign that he was indeed there and that you hadn’t been dreaming it all.
but the pain between your legs caused by the brit told you that it was all not a dream.
so you did what a logical person would, text him. maybe he left to get food.
but you knew that wasn’t the case the moment you had unlocked your phone.
texts flood in, your social media notifications seemed to not be stopping anytime soon.
you opened your texts messages. a couple from your parents, a lot from rae, multiple from some minecraft youtubers who you called friends.
besides your parents, they were asking if you were okay. they were telling you to stay safe and to lay off social media for a while.
your parents were practically screaming at you through texts. they called you a disgrace, not an honour to the family. you didn’t understand where this was coming from.
you opened twitter, knowing that it was going to be the easiest way for you to find out what had happened, and why were you involved in it.
you were trending. number one worldwide. you clicked on your name. your phone left your hand, falling hard to your hotel floor with a loud thud as you covered your mouth with both your hands, crying.
two pictures. two photos that said it all.
first photo was of you in bed, obviously naked under the hotel duvet. you were still sleeping. there was light coming from the windows, that showed that it had barely been sunrise when it was taken.
second photo was what hit you the hardest. you wanted the earth to swallow you from below. it was a photo of your back, very naked back. it was clear that it was a photo that had been taken during sex.
and it was obvious who you had it with, because he was the one who posted it all over twitter.
george.
that was why he left, with no traces of him ever being in the hotel room.
you weren’t sure what was his motive. but you sure did know that he had completely broke you.
crying, you picked up your phone from the floor, calling rae.
“oh my god, tell me you’re okay.” she was panicking on the phone.
“i need to leave.” you told her. you knew that she would immediately understand the severity of the four words you told her.
since then, you never came back. to the eyes of public, it was as if you never even existed. you were gone.
-
you moved with rae.
she had to leave her roommates to settle in with you. her roommates weren’t mad at her for leaving them. they completely understood, you needed the help.
although her roommates wanted to help you, they couldn’t. you needed to have the least amount of people to be with you.
it didn’t help that they were all content creators, too.
rae told people that she moved because she wanted her own space, so that she can make better videos. when she announced she was moving, not one person speculated that you had been the reason of her move.
you paid for the house, you needed to. you owed her. no matter the amount of times she told you that you owed her nothing, that she was just doing it because she loves you, you couldn’t let her pay for a single thing.
you needed to up your security, too. so you two had decided to get a house that was pretty big, somewhere in the mountains, with top security, away from other people.
your parents soon calmed down after that day. they told you to come back, the begged you to come back. but you told them that you needed the time alone at that moment, and assured them that you would be okay.
so they did what parents would. they made sure you were well taken care of. they sent you massive amounts of money, sent your their trusted guards to stay around the house.
they did this all for you without the knowledge of the public.
your parents told reporters that you were well safe, and would not be in the public eye, not until you were ready.
you helped rae film certain videos. well, not like there was anything good to do in the massive mansion, anyways.
all your social media pages were still up, just not updated. you left everything. you had created a more private one, for your close and trusted friends to follow.
and you thought that nothing could really top that eventful day in england.
but it did.
you’re sat on toilet in on of the bathrooms, rae rubbing your back.
pregnant. it was clearly written on the test.
no fucking way.
-
in no ways were you ready to be a mother.
as a little kid, you had dreamt of being a mum, alongside a successful man who took responsibility.
you never would have seen yourself to be a mother alone, with the help of your bestfriend.
you never thought that you would be a mother, whose dad is someone who clearly doesn’t want anything to do with you.
rae stayed with you all the time. even through the gross vomit sessions in the morning, or all the time, in your case.
but you were in no way shape or form ready for a child. you had to raise a child on your own. even the thought of that had emotionally drained you.
weeks after you found out you were pregnant, you were significantly getting more moody, and rae knew that.
she made sure you ate well, slept well and kept up with eating vitamins each day. that was until, you couldn’t take it all anymore.
maybe it was the stress. well, it was the stress.
you blamed it all on the emotional toll the pregnancy took on you. your body was practically screaming for help. help that you need, but you weren’t in the right head space to offer the help to yourself.
it was a typically normal day for rae and you. besides rae screaming in her gaming room while streaming, it had been pretty quiet.
you felt queasy, but you pushed it off. it was normal for you nowadays. everything almost made you throw up. the look of something, the smell.
but on that day, it was a different type of feeling in your stomach.
one second, you were walking into the kitchen, trying to get some water, and the other, you were on the floor, in pain.
you screamed. this was the worst type of pain you’ve felt in your life. you screamed for anyone who could hear you. you were sure that even rae’s stream could hear you, but you didn’t care.
soon you heard multiple footsteps. one of your guards came to your aid before rae did. he supported your head on his lap, him sitting on the floor.
he told the other guard who came soon after he did to call the ambulance.
that was when you finally found out what was happening.
“holy shit, she’s bleeding.” rae repeated to herself.
you were bleeding? that wasn’t good, right? that meant bad things, doesn’t it?
you felt like you were floating, like your limbs were as light as a feather. that was because you were losing consciousness.
you lost it. you lost it and found out it was a boy.
now the two boys you love more than your life aren’t here with you, forever.
you cried for weeks, rae next to you, making sure you were still alive and eating. she was the only one that stayed by your side in real life. sure, your online friends did care about you, but they just couldn’t be there with you.
clay and nick had always been texting you, sometimes calling to try their luck, clay mostly. you knew they cared about you, and they wanted to make sure that you’re okay. but you felt embarrassed. you didn’t want to face anyone, even if people kept saying that you did nothing wrong.
apparently rae’s stream heard your scream, and that was how rae found out that you were in danger. she couldn’t hear through her headphones, but her chat kept spamming her about it, and that raised alarms.
they kept asking about the ‘mysterious girl screaming’ in rae’s stream. it was short lived, though. rae told them that she had a friend over and that they were injured, and that rested the chaos for a little.
you were sure that some people knew you were living with her. most of them were almost like detectives, after all.
you didn’t blame the stans. it wouldn’t take a genius to figure out that you would live with her, anyways.
since the awful day at the hospital, you have texted clay and nick. you wanted to tell them that you were okay, that you aren’t hurt, at least not physically anymore.
it didn’t take you long to start calling clay daily again. other than rae, you didn’t really have anyone. so you told clay.
it felt weird talking about a baby that used to be in you to someone whose bestfriend was the dad of. but he completely understood you. sure, he couldn’t say for experience, seeing as he clearly can’t get pregnant, but he supported you, made sure you let it all out to him.
you and clay grew close, almost bestfriends. although you and nick were close, he’s still in college, and that meant that he usually didn’t have time to talk to you as much as clay did, and you didn’t blame him. school can be a pain in the ass.
but you still made sure to never keep nick in the dark. as much as clay is one of your bestfriends, so is nick.
clay made sure never to talk about george to you, which deemed to be difficult since they had been friends for years. he had accidentally slipped his name out to you a couple times, but you were sure he didn’t meant to do that.
other than the usual “george has been sleeping like a log” and “he slept through the smp war.” you hadn’t heard anything else about him, but it seemed like he was doing well.
clay had told you about the bet.
“nick brought it up, but we didn’t think he was actually going to go through with it.” the floridian said.
you aren’t the type to hold grudges, not even if they did you really dirty, so you told clay that you were on the path of being fully healthy and that he didn’t need to apologise for his friend’s behaviour.
“are you ever going to come back?” he asks you in a facetime call. you knew exactly what he was talking about. he wanted to know if you’d ever come back on the internet.
you didn’t even know the answer yourself. you weren’t sure. so you told him that.
“maybe, maybe not. who knows.” and that was months ago.
you had plenty of time to heal, to get back on track. but nothing could top your pain of losing your child, that you never got to hold, to kiss, to spoil.
telling your mother about the loss of your baby was the hardest. she is a traditional woman, always telling you to get married before bearing children, but that didn’t mean she didn’t love the baby you were carrying in you.
she cried on the phone, sobbing, hiccupping. you wanted to hug her so bad, she even asked you when you’d come back, but you told her you needed time, but you’d be there soon.
for some reason, although you got maximum hours of sleep each day, you still felt exhausted. you consulted a doctor, but he told you that it was normal since your body is still fragile, but the exhaustion never really went away as months go by.
being bored at home, and hearing rae having fun made you feel lonely, it made you feel like you were left out. so you made the decision to come back. not to stream, but to appear in rae’s videos.
rae and the rest of the group welcomed you with open arms. they were caring and made sure you felt comfortable again, not stepping any boundaries. not that you cared, the public was bound to know everything soon enough.
so you did that.
you were playing proximity chat among us, with the usual people. at that point, you and the other nine people were still in the lobby, chatting, until corpse sounded out.
“what have you been doing nowadays?” harmless question, in your opinion.
you didn’t want to hide anything anymore, and rae knew what was about to happen.
“been having a lot of rest. doctor said that i’m still fragile.” you told corpse.
“are you sick?” toast asks. some people would’ve been offended at that question, or take it the wrong way, but you didn’t.
“actually, i suffered a miscarriage recently.” you told them honestly.
there was no awkward silence. immediately, everyone started apologising, saying “sorry for your loss.”
you brushed them off, telling them that it’s okay, that they didn’t offend you at all for asking that question.
“feels good to get it out my chest.” you told them, laughing at the end of that sentence.
“she hasn’t slept well at all, she really wanted to tell you guys.” rae told her
one by one, they all spoke to you, asked you if it was even okay that you all talked about it on streams. you told them that it had been your choice to tell people this way, and they had nothing to worry about.
on the other hand, it was tough for george. not at first, though. he thought it was going to be easy, having sex with a pretty, virgin girl and ditch her alone in a country she she hasn’t personally been to.
but that changed the moment she disappeared. the guilt never really hit george until people started bashing him on the internet.
at first, people were too focused on the girl. people discriminated you, called you a slut. they didn’t think that george was wrong at all, although he was the one who took the explicit photos and posted it.
but then, people, mostly woman had started to realise indeed how messed up it was.
george really couldn’t care that you “left.” but then people kept on commenting on his posts. specifically, they often left a comment saying “really bold of you to do that to a princess.”
at the start, he thought the comments meant that they couldn’t believe he did such terrible things to their princess, someone wholesome they cherished. he didn’t realise that his comments literally meant that you are a princess.
so he googled it. he wanted to know why people kept calling you ‘princess’ or ‘next on the throne’. he was curious, and he wasn’t expecting it all to be real.
when he googled your name, a huge google tab came out.
princess of saudi arabia.
this must be a typo, right? he couldn’t deny that you are indeed a pretty girl, he just couldn’t believe that he had done such things to someone so royal.
he never even thought that one day, he would score to talk to celebrities, let alone be able to be in bed with an actual princess.
so he doubted it.
but then he kept looking.
he looked at images of you. photos of you with a small tiara, next to what seemed to be the queen of saudi arabia, wearing a long, modest emerald gown. the photo was taken when the king had a birthday.
picture after picture, he started to doubt his thoughts even more.
he couldn’t lie, your face really fit the title. if he really thought about it, your existence screamed royalty. the way you spoke, your poise, the way you strut in a hallway and was able to wow a crowd without trying.
george always assumed that people only stared at you in public because of how beautiful you are. he never really realised it all until now.
usually, guys can be insecure when they hear rude comments about how a lanky man is able to get a beautiful, confident woman. but to george, he felt even more egoistical. he used you, truly like a trophy wife.
that was until he really realised.
now, he thinks that everything he did was just a plain asshole move, not saying it isn’t if he did it to any other normal girl.
“i fucking messed up” he thought to himself, reading press conferences about your princess title.
if he thought he messed up then, wait till he found out you were pregnant, and then later losing it.
he felt like he was in a fever dream. it felt like a written book, not real life.
he kept slapping himself, pinching himself to make sure he wasn’t dreaming. it all felt unreal. so many things were happening.
now, he’s more concerned than guilty. he wanted to know if you’re okay. even he felt like he can’t cope with the information he was given, how would you feel?
furthermore, he kept reading theories that the scream in the background of valkyrae’s stream was yours. had you lost the baby there? had you lost his baby there?
-
he called clay and nick. he wanted to double check. it was all a lot to handle, knowing you’re a princess and a mother in the same week.
nick screamed at him on discord for hours, literally. george knew clay was just as mad, just as disappointed. he just didn’t have the energy to say it all, even though all he wanted to do was fly to england and beat george up.
although it took george a while to realise everything he did was messed up, he came to. and he really did want to contact you. but really, anyone in your position wouldn’t even glance at his name twice after what he did.
he was happy that you were looking healthy on rae’s stream. although you weren’t really ready to stream on your own again and many people understood that, and never pushed you.
but whenever he saw you sometimes on rae’s facecam, he could see that pain, deeply hidden in your eyes. you were trying to cover up the fact that you were still trying to heal.
-
CLAY’S POV
it was infuriating to see george not really giving a shit at first, and then changing to a new man. it took you to tell the world about your lost child for him to own up to his mistakes.
nick and i had been friends with him for years, it takes a lot to just dump a friend, a close one at that. so we did what we could, help him wake up from this “dream” he’s in.
that didn’t mean we weren’t mad at him still.
if he didn’t want to own up, i will.
-
the subsequent years came by and went really quickly. people were starting to forget the drama that you and george were in. people soon became uninterested about it, but still stayed with you, encouraging you to heal slowly and take your time.
that was what you liked about the internet. granted, some people can be mean, but the people who supported you were the ones that helped you keep going, helped you find a reason to wake up in the morning.
no, you’d never forget that you lost a child, and you were reminded by the people on the internet who made it a pact to make sure george never forgot that too.
george did end up talking to you a couple years ago. you accepted his apology, but not him. you were sure he only wanted to apologise after knowing that you were the next in the throne.
speaking of throne, you were back in the castle. not permanently, but you visited often. you still lived with rae, and you had actually started streaming on your own again a few months before george reached out to you.
clay and nick had been supportive of you since the start, still clearly apologetic even though you told him that you had forgotten about it and that it hadn’t even been their fault in the first place.
but they were persistent, clay more than nick since nick was still very busy with college. you loved the two of them and considered them to be one of your best friends, aside from rae.
-
GEORGE’S POV
it was difficult. i felt like i had no shame to just text her one day after being gone for so long. but i actually felt bad. i know it was a rocky start.
i had been so focused on winning the bet and not wanting to be called a pussy from my friends that i disregarded you, your feelings.
i knew from the start that you had been a great girl. you were just so sweet to everyone you meet, even strangers. it warmed my heart, it made me feel safe to be around you all the time.
not that i can say that right now anyways, i didn’t have the right at all, after what i did to you.
i don’t know what love is, given the fact that multiple girls had left me before this. i asked myself often if what i felt for my exes were actually love, or had i just been desperate.
but i felt like when i was with you, it had been love, or close enough.
but i couldn’t just burst it out one day that i love you, we weren’t really even dating.
given that you had been pure, prior to me, it was shocking to see you so open, so welcoming to me. it was like you had known me forever, that you trusted me.
and i took advantage of that, and later i got the consequences.
i suffered the consequences. i see him with you. and i see that you’re happier with him. if it was any other guy, i think it would hurt less.
but it was my own best friend. it was clay.
all the instagram photos you post, his face blurred or covered, or when he posts a photo of you, it all hurt.
i started the fall for you, for your genuine heart, and when i finally decide to do something about it, someone else had done it before me.
deep down, i knew that clay would’ve been the better choice for you anyway. but it still hurt me. hearing his voice coming from behind you when you stream without your facecam.
everyone was so supportive of you and clay, they’re obviously happy that you found someone who treats you better, even i knew that.
i wished i hadn’t taken you for granted, i wish i hadn’t listened to the stupid voice in my head reminding that you were all just a bet, that i wouldn’t love you like you think i would.
i felt left out.
a while ago, you were in florida with nick and your boyfriend, clay. it stung to see nick and you streaming so happily, not remembering me.
but i deserved it. and i knew you deserve to be happy, after everything i did to you.
but that didn’t compare to the pain i felt now, a year later, seeing photos of clay and you, his face turned from the camera, facing you. he was down on one knee, proposing.
and although you were crying and your hands covered the bottom half of your face, i could see how happy you are, i could see the amount of love you held for clay.
how i wish i had done things a little more differently.

and the void looked back to say i love you (Part Five)
A/N: i know i typically update this series on saturdays, but tomorrow is the start of mcc season 2. and i have part 5 done, so i'm updating it a day earlier! enjoy!
Warnings: teasing/banter, bickering, strangely wholesome eldritch horror moments (spooky lady gets instantly attached to bird child, said bird child finds this a little creepy at first), mild anxiety, kissing, mild embarrassment
Masterpost
-
Wilbur now joined Phil’s visits down to the void, and sometimes just Wilbur would come while Phil was off trying to finish off the tunnel to the Overworld or gathering materials for other projects. Now that Wilbur was quickly becoming a cemented part of her and Phil’s life, Kristin realized she couldn’t imagine it without Wilbur. He was strangely cheerful for a ghost kid, and he enjoyed talking to Kristin about anything and everything he found interesting in the Overworld. Kristin adored listening to him speak, and she couldn’t help but be reminded of Phil when he had first started visiting Kristin in the void. While they weren’t related by blood, Wilbur was definitely Phil’s son.
It wasn’t long before another change came to Kristin’s once bleak, dark domain- now filled with light and life. The tunnel from Phil’s home to the void was complete, and both Phil and Wilbur were being strangely insistent that she stay put for a little longer while they went back up to make sure it was safe for travel. Not that she minded- she wasn’t sure if she was quite ready to travel up to the Overworld yet, but at the very least she was happy that Phil and Wilbur had an easier way of visiting her now.
“You still haven’t told me where we’re going,” a voice whined from above, one Kristin didn’t recognize.
“We’re going to meet Mumza!” a chipper voice replied, undoubtedly Wilbur.
“Phil still isn’t my dad, big man,” the first voice grumbled back.
“But you said we were like brothers! So that means Phil’s our dad and Kristin is our mum!” Wilbur answered matter-of-factly.
“You’re so weird. Why’s Phil’s wife all the way down here anyway?” the voice asked, and it wasn’t long before Kristin saw a head of unruly blond hair poke in from the newly-made tunnel entrance. For a brief moment, she thought the kid was Phil, before he tumbled down with a shriek, slowly drifting down to the void below. Kristin blinked in surprise. It wasn’t the first time someone had tumbled down into her domain, but it certainly was the first time that someone had fallen slowly. Kristin soon saw the reason the boy fell slowly- there were white feathers tipped in red growing from his arms, almost like wings. Kristin also saw tufts of feathers where the boy’s ears should be, patterned similarly to the ones on his arms. She drew herself up further from the void, reaching out her hands to catch the child. Phil hopped down into Kristin’s outstretched hands as well, carrying Wilbur. A few crows were flocked around Phil as well, cawing excitedly at Kristin and the people in her hands. Once Phil set Wilbur down next to the new kid, Kristin noted that he was much younger than Wilbur was.
“Philza, your wife is HUGE!” the kid gasped, open-mouthed as he stared up at Kristin. The crows squawked in amusement, hopping around the kid and flying up to perch on his shoulders.
“Tommy,” Phil said disapprovingly, while Kristin couldn’t help but giggle.
“Phil, this child you’ve brought me is small!” she teased right back, enjoying the responding chorus of laughter and caws from the crows, as well as the kid’s (Tommy’s?) resulting irritated expression.
“I’ll have you know that I am massive,” he muttered, feathers puffing up in irritation.
“A massive pain,” Wilbur said with a grin, playfully elbowing him. The kid looked about ready to shove Wilbur into the void, while Phil was (poorly) hiding his smile behind his hand.
“Could I maybe get an introduction?” Kristin asked, before the situation could escalate any further.
“This is Tommy. He and Wilbur sort of latched onto each other. Wilbur wanted him to come meet you down here… so I guess we have two kids now,” Phil said with a fond chuckle. Kristin smiled, nodding in approval.
“And he’s a bird, like you. I like him,” Kristin said definitively. Phil muttered something about how he still wasn’t a bird, but Kristin just smiled brighter. She wasn’t quite sure what it was- maybe it was how much Tommy seemed like Phil, how much Wilbur seemed to like him, or maybe it was some deep part of herself that just knew, like how the void was a constant and absolute certainty- but it was like Tommy was meant to be part of their little family. Their family had been fine as it was before, but Tommy somehow filled a gap that Kristin hadn’t even realized was there.
“Lady, I don’t know you,” Tommy said bluntly. Kristin couldn’t help but laugh again, while Phil looked on in fond exasperation.
“I’m Kristin, Queen of the Void. And I can’t explain it, but you just… fit. Like there was something missing before that’s now been found. That’s all,” Kristin said softly. Tommy seemed to consider this, before leaning over towards Wilbur with a hand over his mouth.
“Wil, our mum is fucking creepy,” Tommy said in a frankly very audible whisper. Three different exclamations happened at once, as well as a ruckus from the crows.
“Tommy!” “Aww, you said our mum!”
“Should a child be swearing?”
“Wilbur and Phil swear,” Tommy pouted.
“I’m more concerned about you being rude to Kristin,” Phil said with a laugh.
“Phil, your wife is a giant void lady. My description is acc-ur-ate. No offense,” Tommy said, sheepishly turning to Kristin.
“None taken!” Kristin said brightly. Tommy grinned up at Kristin, and while she had always found Phil’s smile bright, he had some stiff competition with Tommy. The kid could radiate sunshine, and Kristin wouldn’t be surprised in the slightest.
“You still haven’t admitted that you called Kristin ‘mum,’” Wilbur teased with a massively smug grin. Yet again, Kristin was reminded of Phil. There was no mistaking the fact that they were family, even if it wasn’t by blood.
“I thought crows were supposed to bring shiny things, but instead you keep bringing in children. How many more should I expect?” Kristin teased, her own smile likely mirroring Wilbur’s- she was his parent too, after all.
“I don’t mean to keep bringing in kids, they just kinda-”
“Does this mean Tubbo and Ranboo get to be my brothers now? What about Jack and Niki?” Tommy asked, interrupting Phil. He looked up at Phil expectantly, and he laughed nervously.
“Like I was going to say- I don’t exactly take in kids, they just sorta find me. Wilbur and Tommy are the only ones I’ve ‘officially’ taken in,” Phil explained with a sheepish smile.
“Well, why not take in the rest of those kids then?” Kristin offered with a grin.
“You don’t have to take in Ranboo if you don’t want to,” Tommy piped up. One crow cawed at him disapprovingly, to which Tommy responded by sticking out his tongue at it.
“Kristin, we can’t take in every lost hybrid kid- or really just any kid I come across,” Phil said with a laugh. Kristin tilted her head to one side with a frown.
“Well why not?” she asked. Phil’s hands gestured uselessly for a moment or two, before he dropped them with a sigh.
“We’re just two people, Kristin. And you live in the void, I’m not even sure if we could get Niki down here, she can’t leave the water- well, maybe if we…” Phil trailed off, muttering to himself. Kristin looked to the opening in the ceiling, where the tunnel to Phil’s house was. Then she looked at the boys in her hands. Phil and his crows, with all the adventures he’d had, the adventures that she wanted to join him on. Wilbur, the phantom hybrid who had stumbled into her life and despite his apparent aversion to sunlight, brought nothing but light and laughter with all his stories of the Overworld. Then the newest one, Tommy. Like Phil and Wilbur, he seemed to bring light into Kristin’s otherwise dark existence. If there were others out there- Tubbo, Ranboo, Jack, and Niki- then who was she to leave them above, in a world where she wasn’t there for them if they needed her? Hell, how could she stay in the void when the current members of her family were already without her most of the time?
“Then I guess I’ll have to come up to meet her. And the others. And for you,” Kristin said, smiling despite the way anxiety coiled in her stomach. Phil’s expression softened, his rambling ceasing almost immediately. He spread his wings and flew up to Kristin’s eye level, reaching out for a moment until he pulled his hand back with a sigh. Wordlessly, she raised the hand Wilbur and Tommy were sitting on up towards the tunnel entrance. With only some mild bickering between Wilbur and Tommy, the two of them (and the crows) clambered out of her hand and to the tunnel above. Once the boys were safe, Kristin shrunk herself down to Phil’s size to take his hands.
“Kristin, I- we don’t know if you even can leave the void. And if you can, what if it hurts you to be away from it? I can’t- I-” Phil stopped mid sentence when Kristin let go of one of his hands to instead reach up and put a hand on his cheek. He leaned into the touch, a sound resembling a coo escaping his lips unbidden.
“But being down here hurts you. The skies are your home, and I want to soar through it with you. Someday,” Kristin said, adding the “someday” as a bit of an afterthought. As much as she wanted to see the Overworld, there was a lot of residual anxiety that was hard to let go of.
“You are my home, Kristin,” Phil murmured softly,
“And you’re mine. I want to be able to experience it with you,” Kristin said firmly. A ridiculously sappy smile spread over Phil’s face, and he reached up to clasp his hand over the one Kristin had resting on his cheek.
“Well if you’re sure- I’d love to fly with you whenever you’re ready,” he replied. Kristin smiled, a bit misty-eyed, and leaned up to kiss his forehead. When she pulled away, Phil didn’t let her get too far by leaning his forehead against hers.
“Tomorrow,” Kristin said softly.
“Tomorrow?”
“Come back tomorrow to bring me to the Overworld. I just need a little time to mentally prepare,” Kristin explained with a smile. Phil squeezed the hand she was still holding, and his other hand let go of her hand on his face and reached out to brush a lock of hair behind her ear.
“Only if you’re sure,” he murmured. Kristin let out a small laugh, then closed the little distance between them to pull Phil into a soft kiss.
“I’m positive,” Kristin said, voice barely a whisper but no less steady and sure. Phil kissed her again, pulling away with a breathless giggle.
“I love you,” he said, grinning widely. Kristin was absolutely sure her smile mirrored his, and she let go of his hand and dropped the hand on his cheek to instead hug him tightly. Phil returned the embrace easily, wings shifting to wrap around Kristin. He didn’t have to worry about staying aloft, not while Kristin held him.
“I love you too,” she murmured into his ear.
“You think they’re done talking?” came a rather loud whisper from the entrance above. Kristin pulled away the slightest bit to meet Phil’s fondly exasperated expression, and she giggled despite herself.
“Shh! I think they heard you!” came another not-so-quiet whisper, unmistakably Wilbur.
“We can still hear you,” Phil called out, stealing one last kiss from Kristin before pulling back and flying up to the tunnel entrance with a wink. Kristin shook her head with a laugh, returning to her typical towering size.
“You boys gonna head out?” Kristin asked. Tommy poked his head out, frowning.
“Aww, already? But we didn’t even get to talk to you much, Philza hogged you the entire time!” Tommy protested.
“She is my wife, mate,” Phil scoffed with a laugh.
“Well she’s my mum!” Tommy shot back. Tommy seemed to realize what he said the instant he said it, face flushing slightly.
“Aww, you called me mum again!” Kristin chirped, beaming with pride.
“No I didn’t!” Tommy insisted, retreating back into the tunnel enough that his head was no longer poking out. Some scuffling was heard, and soon Tommy came tumbling through the opening, feathered limbs slowing his fall. Kristin quickly brought her hands up to catch him, and he landed with a soft thump.
“Are you alright?” she asked.
“WILBUR FUCKING PUSHED ME!” Tommy shouted, scrambling to his feet and glaring up at the ceiling. Tommy was met with laughter from Wilbur, which was soon cut off with a surprised shriek of Phil’s name. Wilbur fell from the opening soon after, Phil’s laughter following him.
“Your bird instincts are showing again,” Kristin teased Phil, after she had caught Wilbur as well.
“What instincts?!” Phil demanded, flying down from the entrance to perch on Kristin’s shoulder.
“The ones where you throw our kids off things so that they can fly,” she replied with a grin. Phil frowned but flushed in slight embarrassment, his crows flying down to heckle him.
“I’m not even a bird!” Wilbur protested. Tommy gave some quip in response, starting another bickering match between the two- but frankly Kristin was too busy with the feelings of safety, home, and love that seemed to flow alongside the void to really pay attention. She hoped that those feelings would increase tenfold the next day, when she finally visited the world of her family.

it’s not worth it, achilles.
(tws: manipulation, emotional & slight physical abuse, panic attacks, one very vague reference to suicidal ideation, agoraphobia)
eret is a watcher.
they’ve never wanted to be at the center of the conflict. content with being off to the side, content with taking what’s given to them.
(but are they?)
they care for wilbur, for tommy, for tubbo, for fundy, for all of them. that isn’t a question. wilbur had welcomed them into his nation with open, welcoming arms, and they accepted graciously and without hesitation.
they can see the gears turning in dream’s head, and they can only see those gears growing sharp with time. it’s not much of a question.
and maybe that has something to do with it, but at the end of the day they can’t quite say what made them accept dream’s invitation to chat.
(it was greed, it was the promise of power, it was cowardice and ambition and desperation all wrapped in a disgusting little bundle that rested in their chest, and maybe still does.)
in any case, they find themselves face to face with the man who should be their worst enemy right now.
they hold themselves poised as they can, and for some reason it makes dream huff what must be a laugh. he settles on a block, gesturing for eret to do the same. they refuse.
“so i have a proposition,” dream starts, adjusting his mask to more thoroughly cover his face. he pauses, and eret raises an eyebrow, waves for him to continue.
“we’re looking for a king to rule the smp,” he says, leaning forward.
“i thought you had george for that,” they say. what is this?
“not for now. later, sure, but i’m not sure he’s ready.” that makes eret frown. it’s an odd way to refer to one’s right-hand man, but at the end of the day it’s not their business.
“you’re asking me to be king?” they ask, hesitant.
“i’m not asking,” dream responds, and something in his tone makes them freeze. they take a step back, almost unwittingly.
“i want you to be king, eret. i think you’d do a banger job,” dream says, standing. as he stalks closer, they clench their fists, silently beg themselves not to show their discomfort.
he stops only a few inches away, crosses his arms far too casually for the situation.
“this is how it’s going to go,” he commands, and suddenly eret is far, far too aware of how this man has commanded men, won wars.
whatever he says… they can’t refuse.
> contrary to what everyone says, they don’t want to be a traitor, but if everyone’s going to think they’re the villain they might as well make it sound good.
the final control room goes perfectly. as they find themselves next to dream on the battlefield, dream’s cold, commanding hand leaving a bruise on their shoulder where he holds it proudly, they don’t feel like much a king, and they feel an awful lot like a slimy traitor.
> it’s not a coronation as much as a condemnation. dream places the crown on their head, and they can’t help but flinch away.
they think they hear sapnap stifle a chuckle, and every nerve in their body constricts in barely contained rage.
dream uses his hand to force eret’s chin up, and they refuse to meet his eyes until he squeezes enough to hurt. he nods, patronizingly, lets go and brushes invisible dust off their shoulders.
they pray for it to be over. > being a king has always been a figurehead. they hold no power.
dream doesn’t accept anything less than perfect. not in their posture, not in their robes, not in their voice and actions. they do what he says, and they don’t what he doesn’t.
the others hate them, still, and they can’t blame them in the slightest. they’ve barely seen them, not since the final control room, and they can only hope they’ve pulled themselves together, since.
they’re so proud of tommy. but they can’t say that, not hardly, not when dream’s pacing back and forth in the meeting room.
they stand at the door like a guard, only really there as a pretty decoration, and they’re only forced to listen while dream and the others concoct plan after plan to kill the others.
they’re so tired. > they’re more of a target than anything. dream promised them immunity, and they knew it was a lie then; it’s only brought the opposite.
they’re a figure for everyone’s hatred. dream is still acting reasonable in the public eye, for now, and eret is the crazy one. the one who traded their country for kingship, for power that doesn’t exist.
dream doesn’t let them cry, not when he can see it. they’re more thankful for their glasses than ever.
they’ve gotten real good at hiding flinching, too. > dream doesn’t starten to loosen his hold at all until the election. they don’t think he means to, but with other playthings in the form of a president and an exiled man, he doesn’t have as much time to fuck with them.
but he makes one thing very clear:
“don’t leave the castle without my permission, got it?”
they’ve got it. > fundy is the first to visit, and when the first signs of orange appear at the end of the throne room, they almost weep in relief, almost trip on the edge of their cloak before dream’s words snap them back to their senses, telling them not to act undignified. they still can’t help the giddy smile on their face, and fundy looks them hard in the eye before an awkward “hi.”
they return it quietly. > it’s a hard thing, walking the line between trying to apologize and trying not to reveal anything.
(because they can’t tell the others. they can’t.)
they’re pretty sure fundy suspects something, but they can’t say anything.
not even when they flinch whenever someone raises their voice or moves too fast, or how they’re so much quieter than before, or how they staunchly, staunchly refuse to leave the castle unless it’s an event they’ve been invited to.
dream is playing them like a fucking fiddle, and they can’t do anything about it. > niki is the first person they say anything to.
they’re on a parapet, looking out at the stars, and niki rests her head on their shoulder. they smile down at her. they’ve removed their glasses, and the light from their eyes bathes her in gentle light.
“i’m worried for you,” she says, hooking her arm in theirs. they start back a bit.
“what do you mean?” they ask, trying and failing to reclaim the royal disposition they fall back to in situations like this.
“you’re not happy as king,” she says, moving to fully look them in the face.
(they’re uncomfortable. what do they say? what would dream want them to say? what’s safe?)
“i’m fine,” they say. “it’s just stressful, is all.”
she scoffs. “with what work? eret, it’s obvious you’re not in charge. just please, tell me what’s going on. is it dream?”
they feel the urge to lower their voice like he’s listening in, as silly as it is.
(is he?)
their hands are shaking, and they clasp them to hide it. “i can't tell you anything."
and they don’t say anything more, because dream is there, guiding niki out of the castle, and they don’t say anything to stop it. > they hate him. they hate him, they hate him, they hate him, they hate him, and they don’t say anything about it.
they let dream toy with the idea of replacing them with george, they let him threaten their life, they let him say everything he wants to him, and they take it with grace like they know he wants them to do.
they stand in the center of the room as he paces, feeling so utterly exposed. their crown feels heavy, their robes feel like they’re pulling them to the floor, but they stand composed even as they feel like they might lose a life any moment.
they clench their fists to hide how they’re shaking like a leaf, and it does nothing.
he lunges forward, grasps their chin, and they know now to make eye contact immediately. their eyes reflect off his mask.
he tilts their head, inspecting something, and they don’t flinch even as they know he’ll leave bruises on their cheekbones. he pushes them back, and they try not to stumble.
“you’re an embarrassment,” is all he says. “and if you speak to any of them tomorrow, if you even think of leaving the throne room, i’ll kill you right then and there.”
and they don’t doubt it for a second. > fundy tries to get their attention, and as his ears droop and he spits retorts as he leaves and they pretend to continue reading the book and shift uncomfortably on the throne, they feel like crying. dream is just taunting them. > the next day, it’s niki. she stares them down, tells them not to bend this low, and she leaves. they do cry, then, and dream tells them to stop. and they do. > then it’s sapnap, and they don’t know whether they can talk to him as he tells them about his day. their hands curl on their book, and they don’t know where dream is, and they don’t know if sapnap is safe, and everything feels like too much and sapnap is asking them if they’re paying attention, and then they’re ripping the book with their grip and they’re crying and sapnap is asking them if they’re ok and they still don’t know whether he’s safe and they can’t breathe, and they’re on the floor and sapnap is still asking them if they’re ok and they don’t know.
and dream is there, and for once his hold is soft and he strokes their hair and tells them it’s ok, and of course of sapnap is safe, you’re being silly, and how about we call it a day, and they can’t even help but nod in agreement. > dream tells them to take the day off, and they know it’s not kindness, because as they give up on the latch of the door and wonder whether they can make it out of the window, they see a few people congregating near the castle. they can’t quite make out their names, their faces, or even their voices, but they can tell anger when they hear it. something is happening. > and in front of everyone, the next day, as dream stares her down, niki asks them to join her. they lower their head, stare at their lap as dream chuckles. > but they do. dream tells them he’ll kill them. he tells them he’ll kill niki, kill fundy, kill tommy, kill everyone, but it doesn’t matter. he won’t hurt anyone but them, at least not for now, and they don’t fucking care.
let him do as he pleases, they won’t go down easy. anything is better than this.
they rip the crown off their head, throw it down at dream’s feet, and they leave the castle for the first time in months. > niki cheers when she sees them, and they grin, hug her, grab her and swing her around. it doesn’t matter that they’re both in armor, it doesn’t matter that they’re about to go to war against him, they’re there and they’re out and they’re with the people they love.
even if they don’t love them back. they don’t miss tommy’s glare.
(they deserve it.) > they pity george.
they offer their comfort. they don’t get a response.
(not for months, anyways.) > they retake their mantle, and it’s only a bit easier than before. dream’s control has loosened, but it’s still there, still a looming sense of fear that makes it hard for them to take a full breath.
their friends aren’t there much anymore. fundy is lost in grief, and niki’s doing… whatever she’s doing.
but a new member approaches them oohs and aahs at their castle but approaches them like a person in a way that makes them want to weep.
her name is puffy, and they love her already. > it’s so hard to leave the castle. they still imagine dream popping out from somewhere, telling them to get back inside, and more often than not they don’t make it out of the door. they're loitering in the doorway, fidgeting with their hands when they see puffy. she waves at them, grinning, and they give her a shaky smile back.
“what’s up?” she asks. their chest tightens.
“um. not sure yet,” is all they can muster, and god, dream wouldn’t like that, but it doesn’t matter, it doesn’t fucking matter anymore.
she nods. “cool.”
they stand in silence for a few seconds, and then she extends a hand and says, “i’m on a walk. wanna join me?”
it’s clear what she’s doing, and they grin at her kindness. the looming feeling in their chest dissipates, just a little. they take her hand, and soon enough they’re out from under the shadow of the castle, and they’re in the sunlight.
and it's hard, their hands still shake and they get the urge to run back where it's safe even when it's not, but she distracts them every time their eyes stray and when they sit down in the middle of the prime path and hide their face in their hands and scrub tears a voice tells them they shouldn't be shedding in the first place she sits with them and makes them laugh. > “maybe being king can be something good,” puffy tells them one night.
“you think?” they ask, huffing a laugh. “i’m not sure.”
“yeah,” she says, elbowing them playfully. “you’re in a special position. maybe you can use your influence to help everyone.”
“i don’t have influence,” they start, but she interrupts.
“i know, maybe politically, you don’t. but people respect you. you can use that.”
it’s hard to imagine anyone respecting them, after their cowardice. but as they lean against puffy and stare at the crater, they suppose someone needs to try around here. and they will.
(they push down the voice that says it’s retribution.)

what is grief if not love enduring?
not me blasting sad songs and writing for an hour before retreating to youtube to watch animatics of funny bits to Cope.
The last part was written very soon after Tommy’s stream, the rest was written after the streams yesterday/before Tubbo’s one today.
Basically me just being emo and writing everyone’s pain!
______
The corridor of the prison stretched into darkness but Sam didn’t stop moving. His grip was tight around the trident he held, his pace brisk and quick and sharp. He moved down one long, endless hall, and then another, and then another.
How long he had paced through the cold, dark halls he wasn’t sure. Again and again, looking for clues he knew he wasn’t going to find. Sometimes he dove into the dark depths of the water surrounding the prison (the tomb). Sometimes he ventured into the painfully bright of outside, stood on top of the prison, covered every inch of it again and again and again.
“Sam - Sam please!”
The ghost of a boy’s voice chased him endlessly. The desperate pleas of his final moments. The words Sam had ignored.
“You’re going to have to trust me.”
He had asked for trust. Asked for faith. Asked for so many things and he had failed. Failed. Failed. Failed.
And Tommy had paid the price.
“You remember when you visited me in exile? This is worse than that.”
Tommy had been desperate. Afraid. So, so very afraid.
Sam knew why. And yet he had stilled ignored Tommy’s frantic attempts at help. He had ignored Tommy’s lowered guard, a guard he only lowered when he was desperate.
“He was mine! He obeyed me immediately. I didn’t even have to ask him to destroy his armour by the end. It was almost too easy. Too fun.”
Dream’s laughter echoed through the corridors.
No matter how much he tried to convince himself it had been necessary, Sam couldn’t rid himself of the guilt that ate him alive.
The halls were cold.
Sam kept walking, searching for a culprit even though he knew who was really to blame.
~*~
His cheeks were burning. A fire that still wasn’t as bad as the ache in his chest, a stinging that was worse than any physical pain he’d felt in a long time.
It hurt, but he couldn’t stop the tears from flowing, even when he pressed his sleeve to his face to try and dry them, to relieve the pain even a little.
Ranboo trudged through the snow, a few flowers still hanging limp from one hand, the other pressed his sleeve to his face.
He felt… numb, in many ways. The ache was strong, threatening to overwhelm, but so was the desire to just sleep.
He should have done more.
The cottage came into view and Ranboo looked up, blinking his eyes, and taking a shaky breath to keep back the rest of his tears.
He’d forgotten how much it hurt.
Fitting, really.
He’d almost made it past the house when the opening of a door caught his attention. He dabbed at his cheeks again, trying to stop them stinging, to hide the fresh scars that were no doubt noticeable.
“Hey mate!” Phil called, stepping out of his house and leaning on the edge of the bridge between buildings with a grin that Ranboo suddenly wanted to punch. He balled his fist, the flowers in his hand drooping. When he didn’t respond, Phil’s expression flickered. “Everything alright?”
“No,” Ranboo said, his voice catching slightly. “No, not really.”
How could he explain?
“What’s up?”
Phil’s concern seemed so genuine and Ranboo couldn’t help but feel so angry. Angry at everyone who only cared after it was too late. Angry at everyone who hadn’t done anything, himself included, who had let this happen.
“Tommy’s dead,” he said, and the words felt heavy as he spoke them, like a finality.
(The flower sat on the path, limp and forlorn and nobody came).
“What?” Phil’s voice was almost amused, as though he were holding back a laugh. Ranboo balled his fists tighter, not caring that he was probably cutting into his palms.
“He’s gone,” he said. “He was trapped in the prison and Dream…” He bit his lip. It was better than the burning cheeks.
“Oh.”
Phil’s expression barely changed. He was silent for a long moment, knuckles white on the railing the only sign of his emotion. “I see.”
Then he turned abruptly and returned inside, shutting the door behind him. Ranboo swallowed thickly, determined not to cry anymore.
He hurt enough already.
“So Theseus finally fell.”
He started, turning to see Techno standing behind him, arms crossed, axe in one hand, Steve’s lead in the other. Ranboo nodded, swallowing again and taking a shaky breath.
“What happened to your face?” Techno’s voice didn’t change, still as steady and monotone as always. Ranboo blinked.
“When… when I cry. My tears…” It felt silly to say.
Techno didn’t answer, just gestured with one hand for Ranboo to follow him. He did, suddenly wanting to bury his face in the polar bear’s fur and cry without it hurting.
It wasn’t fair.
“I don’t even know why,” he said quietly, barely aware he was speaking. “I mean… he was always mean to me… I…” he trailed off, realizing Techno wouldn’t want to hear his rambling.
Techno didn’t answer for a while, setting Steve up beside the fire before opening a chest. Ranboo stood near the door, fidgeting nervously, spinning the flowers in his hand.
“Loss is funny like that,” Techno said finally. He glanced up from the chest, withdrawing a potion and holding it out to Ranboo. Ranboo took it, offering him a small smile.
“Thank you,” he said quietly. Techno grunted, and Ranboo took that as his cue to leave.
As he did, he heard Techno muttering something under his breath. He wasn’t sure exactly, but it sounded like “... I know… be patient. I won’t let him get away with this.”
The door to Phil’s house was closed and his windows dark.
~*~
It felt almost wrong to sleep in a room that he had effectively stolen from a dead man. Jack couldn’t sleep, staring at the ceiling, trying to stop thinking.
Somehow, he kept thinking of L’manberg. Specifically, a day a few weeks after he had joined the country, while he and Tommy were standing on top of the wall and they were laughing.
He couldn’t even remember why - maybe it had something to do with something Tubbo had said or done.
He just remembered laughing. Remembered the sun on his back and Tommy’s eyes sparkling with mirth and his loud, obnoxious cackle and laughing so hard his sides ached and he had tears running down his cheeks and he couldn’t breathe.
He curled onto his side, shutting his eyes tightly.
He remembered lying on the van with Tubbo and Niki and Tommy, pointing out stars and making up constellations.
He remembered standing over a cold crater, annoyance mingling with simmering anger and Niki’s frustrated and furious expression.
When had it all gone so wrong?
Finally, he threw the blankets aside and stepped outside onto the balcony, looking out over the land. It all felt so… empty. Just yesterday he looked out here with pride and excitement - part of him was looking forward to the challenge of keeping this hotel from Tommy’s grasp when he returned.
And now he was never going to return.
A glint of light caught his attention and he glanced down to see a figure standing in the moonlight.
Sam Nook. A silent sentry.
Jack wondered how long he would stay there, waiting for a boy who would never return home.
He gripped the edge of the balcony, feeling the cold wind and stared at the tree and the bench just across the way.
He didn’t care anymore.
He just wanted his friend back.
~*~
“I’m sorry.”
Puffy sat on the edge of the crater, staring down at the glass that reflected the stars and the pit that lay underneath.
“We all really let you down, huh?”
L’manberg was so quiet now. It had been for a long time, but Puffy refused to let its memory fully die.
Now, she felt like it had for good this time.
“You shouldn’t have had to go through that alone. You shouldn’t have had to go through that at all.”
She held a bundle of flowers - white and red, like the ones Ranboo had been collecting. Somehow it felt fitting to sit here, over the land he had created.
“I let you down. I failed you. Even before you went into the prison. I should have visited you more in exile. I’m sorry.”
She pressed the heel of her hand to her eyes, taking a shaky breath and shaking her head.
The words felt empty.
Nothing she could do could make up for what had happened to him.
She just had to make sure it didn’t happen to anyone else.
Taking a deep breath, she stood. Carefully, she held out her arm, opening her hand to let the flowers drift down to the glass that covered L’manberg.
“I heard there was a special place,” she began softly. “Where men could go and emancipate.”
The moon was cold as it shone on the lone woman, singing softly in the rubble of a home.
~*~
He paced the halls, the halls that felt more empty than ever. He’d barely unpacked from his travels, barely settled back in and now all he could think about was the pit in his chest and the ache in his bones and the lingering guilt he had carried for months.
Eret ran a hand through his hair and let out a long breath, stopping in front of his throne.
Realistically, he knew he couldn’t have done anything.
Part of him wondered if this would have happened if he’d come home just a little earlier.
Part of him wondered how different things would be if he hadn’t let greed and naive foolishness blind him a long time ago.
He began pacing again, aimlessly moving through the halls of his castle. He missed them. He had missed them all for such a long time and he had only just been starting to rebuild those relationships.
Without meaning to, he found himself leaving his castle, walking the prime path, feet leading him aimlessly up the path.
He stopped in front of the shrine Puffy had made earlier that day.
Tommy had forgiven him. Tommy had been the first to forgive him, when Eret had long ago given up on any chance of that happening.
Tommy had given him hope he could be forgiven. Given him hope he could redeem himself, could rebuild the relationships he had broken.
With a long sigh, Eret reached up and took off his crown, glasses slipping down his face to reveal his white, white eyes.
Clutching both to his chest, he lowered his head, closing his eyes.
“Thank you,” he said softly.
~*~
Snowchester was cold.
Tubbo pulled a blanket over his shoulders and sat in the corner of the room, Micheal’s chicken sleeping on his lap. Micheal was asleep as well, curled in his boat across the room and Tubbo couldn’t help but be glad.
It was cold, and no matter how many blankets he pulled around himself, no matter how hot he cranked up the fire he knew he couldn’t drive all the cold away.
Part of him wondered if he’d be cold even in the depths of the Nether.
Part of him didn’t care.
It wasn’t true, surely.
Sam was just playing another prank on them. A cruel one, one that was Tubbo’s biggest fear, but that had to be it.
Right?
But Sam’s voice had been shaky and his eyes wet and deep down Tubbo knew.
This was worse than last time, somehow. Last time they hadn’t had a proper goodbye, last time Tubbo blamed himself, last time it hurt so, so much.
But Tubbo had had L’manberg. He had had to keep pushing forward. He had things to distract him.
Now he had nothing. Nothing but the cold shell of a house that had no heart, no soul.
Because that was always Tommy’s job, wasn’t it?
It was always Tommy who made a house a home. A nation a place to be proud of.
They had won and somehow that made it all so, so much worse.
They had won, and Dream had been locked up, and they had been able to go about their lives how they wanted to. They had won, and that should have been the end of the story. The book should have closed, the song should have finished.
Happily ever after, right?
Tubbo pressed himself into the corner, burying his face into the feathers of the chicken in his lap and fighting down tears.
He couldn’t do this.
Not again.
Why did Death favour Tommy?
~*~
Tommy woke with a chocked gasp, one hand flung above his head, shaking violently, a plea still on his tongue.
He shuddered, breathing deeply, shutting his eyes and regaining his breath as he slowly realized he wasn't in immediate danger.
It was warm, but not the blistering heat of the Nether, or the wet, unpleasant heat of Dream's cell. It was a pleasant warmth, like sun shining down on him.
The ground was soft as well. Not hard and uneven like the floor of the cell, but soft and comfortable, what felt like grass tickling his arms. And wind blew softly over his face, a slow, lazy breeze that made Tommy relax more.
Then he opened his eyes and stared up at the blue sky above him. A few stray clouds drifted across the sky and despite the still aching of his arms and head, Tommy smiled softly.
He was out. He wasn't trapped any more. He could feel the wind, could see the sun, could hear the trees rustling nearby. He was out and he was finally free.
(What had happened? It had been dark and hot and terrifying and Dream had been there and he had been violent and harsh and…)
He didn't want to think about that. With arms that were still shaking slightly, he pushed himself up and looked around.
A few trees dotted the area, a river flowing lazily past. Hills rose around them and standing a few meters away, his back to Tommy, was a figure.
He was tall, wearing a coat that flapped slightly in the wind. A beanie was pulled firmly over his hair, and his shoulders were more relaxed that Tommy ever remembered them being.
"Wilbur?" he called, unease and excitement mingling, together. His voice shook slightly, the panic not fully faded.
The figured turned, revealing a familiar soft smile. It was strange, seeing Wilbur like this. Wearing the clothes he died in (he was dead how was he here?), a bloodstain across his chest, but smiling. Eyes soft, proud, sorrowful.
He looked at Tommy the same way he had when Tommy claimed independence.
"Welcome home," he said softly.
Tommy blinked up at him, suddenly aware of the hand Wilbur stretched out to him. He took it, letting Wilbur pull him to his feet and swaying slightly.
Everything felt off. He was aching, pain pounding through him, but it didn't feel real. It felt as though someone else was hurting, but when he looked down at his arms he could see the bruises, could feel dry blood in his head.
"What happened to you," Wilbur said softly, cupping his chin and lifting his face. Tommy felt a lump in his throat at the softness of the touch, despite the involuntary flinch the action drew from him.
What had happened. He didn't remember exactly, everything felt like a dream. One that he didn't want to wake up from. This open field and Wilbur soft expression were far better than the nightmare of the last week.
"I-" he began, looking down. Wilbur's hand drifted down to his arm, gently holding his elbow. Tommy followed the movement, seeing the bruises that littered his arms.
(Dream standing over him, eyes blazing. Fists clenched, bloodied with Tommy's blood. He was holding his arms above his face, tears in his eyes, blood running down his cheek.)
He shuddered, despite the warmth of the afternoon. Wilbur lifted his hand hesitantly, pausing a moment before returning it.
"Take your time," he said quietly. "It takes time to adjust."
"Adjust to what?" Tommy asked, and he hated how small his voice was. "Wilbur where - where am I?"
Wilbur glanced up, and Tommy did as well. His heart skipped a beat, his breath caught suddenly in his throat.
He knew where they were. This was home. This was L'manberg's land, the foundations she was built upon before war and death had stained her soil.
If L'manberg was here, unbroken, unspoiled. And if Wilbur was here, alive…
Was Tommy?
"Wil- am…" He trailed off, breath catching. "Am I?"
(Dream was angry, more angry than Tommy had ever seen him. And the lava seemed to be laughing at him and the walls were closing in around him and -)
He was breathing quickly, shaking his head, heart bounding.
"No," he said softly.
"Tommy-" Wilbur began but Tommy stepped back, pushing Wilbur's hand away.
"No. No. I - I can't… what about my hotel? What about Tubbo. I can't leave I can't be… I was going to leave him behind, I was going to be done with him this was going to be the last time."
He couldn't breathe. He shuddered, wrapping his arms around his chest and collapsing to his knees. The ground was hard underneath him and his breath was short, sharp, panicked.
"I'm not dead," he whispered. "I - I won. I can't let him… I left him behind. I - I'm finished with him he can't… he can't win."
"Tommy." Wilbur's voice was soft, even, full of hurt. A hand lay gently on Tommy's back and he stiffened, remembering the past week of Dream's casual punches. But Wilbur's hand was steady, comforting and Tommy leaned into it despite himself. "I'm sorry."
Wilbur's voice was so genuine, so full of regret that Tommy felt tears prick his eyes again.
He was so tired.
"Wilby, I-"
He was tired. Tired of being afraid, tired of nightmares. Tired of not being normal, of freaking out over the smallest things. He was tired of Dream's shadow that never seemed to leave. Tired of losing again and again and again.
"I know," Wilbur said softly and drew Tommy into a tight hug. Tommy didn't resist, curling into Wilbur's embrace, sobbing softly.
"There - I had a hotel," he whispered. He wanted to do so much. He wanted to prove he could. He wanted to become someone, to prove that Dream didn't control him. Didn't own him.
He wanted to do so much.
He buried his face in Wilbur's chest, shoulders shaking, weeping for his lost childhood.
At least here, maybe he could rest.

Do You Permit it?
{*wakes up in cold sweat* Failed L’manburg revolution Les Mis/Les Amis au}
Wilbur Soot x reader
Trigger warnings: yelling, swearing, character death, mentions of alcoholism
Premise: Wilbur, the marble lover of liberty wants nothing more than to gain freedom from the Dream SMP, You, the lowly drunk cynic want nothing more than to be by Wilbur’s side. When Wilbur becomes insistent that the only way to gain freedom is to barricade the few revolutionaries into the walls of what would one day hopefully become L’manburg you see all the flaws in the plan, but unwilling to leave your friends, nor you love that was never meant to be you stick with the foolhardy men, resigning yourself to your fate
{aka I wanted to make les mis content and this was the only way I could think of. also Wilbur = Enjolras but brunet and his revolution didn’t fail}
{Also Tommy/Tubbo as Gavroches but I can’t fully figure out this au, someone help}
{I had to dig out my copy of the brick for this one boys}
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
“We will stand our ground! Fight for the freedom we deserve!” Wilbur yelled.
The men spread around the backroom of Niki’s café cheered in agreement, causing you to sigh, and tip down a portion of your drink, “You do realize Dream will never let you be free right?”
Wilbur glared at you, “(y/n) if we can fight, and we can prove to him that we deserve our freedom then we can have it.”
“Well sure, if you can fight,” You chuckled looking around the room at the men gathered, “I’ve never seen Jack Manifold pick up a musket. Fundy’s never had the chance to learn to shoot more than birds out in the forest. Tubbo shouldn’t be throwing his life away for something as foolish as this. Tommy just- Tommy just shouldn’t be given a weapon- period.”
“They know how to fight well enough,” Wilbur spat, venom lining his voice, “If your not going to be a part of this cause then I suggest you leave.”
You glanced around the back room again, “Well this is a free public space innit? I shouldn’t think I could be kicked out of a public place.”
Wilbur's glare was burning, yet you reveled in the heat, watching as he crossed his arms, “(y/n) if you don’t believe in this cause why do you bother to come here night after night? Do you find satisfaction in poking holes in our plans?”
“Perhaps I find more satisfaction in spending a night with my friends than drinking alone,” You challenged, taking another sip from your drink, “Perhaps I enjoy listening to your fantasies Apollo.”
“These are not just fantasies, (y/n)! This is our tomorrow! This is the future that we are shaping!” He yelled.
“This is your tomorrow?” You bellowed, standing up and gesturing around, “This plan of dying like a martyr? You are planning a future you will never see! You do see that this won’t work right? This revolution is doomed! Throwing your lives away for some stupid cause may not be a fantasy, but believing it will work sure as hell is!”
“You know nothing of belief,” He spat, “You believe in nothing.”
“I believe in you.” With that you plopped back down into your seat, having said your piece.
Wilbur sighed, turning back to rest of the group, beginning to give instructions to his men, making plans for the coming days, discussing how they would smuggle the weapons and munitions into the city.
Niki sat down next to you as she entered from the main part of the café, “Why do you do that? He could like you more if you didn’t always disagree with him.”
“There's no other way I can get his attention. Nothing else gets through to him.” You muttered.
“Have you ever tried agreeing with him? I know you dreamed of freedom once.”
“That was a long, long time ago.” You sighed.
~~
As days went on Wilbur’s plans grew bigger, the day of reckoning grew closer, and your nightmares of fire and blood became more and more frequent; no matter how much you tried to warn your friends, or drink your fears away they still lurked in the shadows of your mind.
You watched as their plans continued to take form, never, no matter how much you urged, drifting from Wilbur’s plan of a barricade.
Many a night found you in the back room of Niki’s café, arguing against everything that they said.
Tonight, as you entered, the café was a flurry of activity, people running excitedly to and from the back room, some not even bothering to hide the muskets or cartage packets they were carrying.
You grabbed Tubbo’s shoulder as he started to dash past again, “Woah woah woah, what the hells going on here?”
“Wilbur says that this is it! Tomorrow it begins!” He said excitedly.
“Tubbo! Quit standing around we’ve got work to do!” Tommy yelled thundering out of the back room.
Tubbo smiled at you apologetically, “Well, I’ve got to go!”
As the two boys ran off you quickly made to move into the back room, immediately coming face to face with Wilbur, who grinned wildly, “Come to join the festivities (y/n)? I’d’ve thought you’d be off away from here by now.”
“Its happening then.” You murmured, slightly shocked.
“Of course it’s happening,” Wilbur spat back, “You come here to try and shut us down again? You gonna try and sabotage our victory?”
You sighed, starting to turn to leave, “Only a fool celebrates before the war is won Apollo.”
“Are you suggesting I am a fool (y/n)?”
You glanced back at him, looking around at the confident men and women around the café, at the people who were surely preparing to march to there deaths, “Never, but maybe, my Apollo, just this once.”
~~
You had spent the rest of that night wandering around outside, skirting around Wilbur’s men, and moving through the gap in the walls where Wilbur would build a barricade come dawn, all with a bottle in hand.
Just before dawn came you returned to your lodgings, gazing around at the mess just long enough to make up your mind.
Somehow you found yourself going to your wardrobe, reaching far into the back, to where Niki and Eret had convinced you to stash your old flint locked pistol once you had figured to keep it, pulling it out and tucking it into your waist band.
Soon you were back on your way, cartages knocking together in your pockets as you strode down the streets, absorbing the all too calm energy of the city, a storm clearly brewing.
The time until Wilbur’s plan was to begin seemed to stretched on forever, and yet all the same you soon enough found yourself in a hive of activity, Fundy shouting at people to throw down their furniture, Tommy and Tubbo helping Eret, Niki and the others drag said furniture to form a barricade across the gap in the wall, Wilbur shouting orders and directing everything from the center of the storm.
Distantly you could hear Sapnap’s yelling, slowly retreating as the barricade rose higher and higher.
People began to cheer as it was finished, and Wilbur hoisted the L’manburg flag up to sit atop the structure.
“I need someone to go find out there plans!” He yelled, climbing back down, “Someone they wouldn’t except to be with us!”
“I’ll go!” Eret offered, “George trusts me.”
Wilbur nodded, “Good man, get going, and come back quickly, this is imperative to our success.”
Eret tucked their carbine into his jacket, nodding to Niki before heading off.
“(y/n).” Wilbur said, finally having seen your presence.
“Apollo.” You nodded.
“What are you doing here?”
You gestured around, at the Barricade, and the barrels of gunpowder being rolled out of the stores, “I am here to help.”
“Help?” Wilbur questioned.
“Something like that.” You nodded.
Wilbur's stare cut into you, “Are you good for anything?”
You leaned back against the wall of the café, “I have a vague ambition that direction.”
“What could you even do to help? You’ve hardly done anything in your life.”
You scoffed, “I wasn’t always a drunk. Used to have lofty aspirations and the like.”
“Be serious.” Wilbur demanded.
“I am wild.” You argued.
~~ The day wore on, and the barricade held some semblance of peace, even as Eret returned, quietly announcing herself to Wilbur.
“What have you learned?” He asked.
“They aren’t moving forward with any attacks tonight,” Eret reported, glancing around the barricade, “Dream has the badlands on his side, but they’re holding off until tomorrow, getting ready to attack from the right.”
Wilbur sighed, looking to his men and then back at Eret, “We will take the hits as they come. We can win this.”
Off to the side you watched as Niki bit her lip, standing up abruptly, “He’s lying!”
Eret opened his mouth, both in shock and to object, when Wilbur held up a hand to cut them off, “Niki?”
She took a shaky breath, “Eret has been spying for the enemy. Feeding them information.”
“That's not true!” Eret yelled.
“I’m sorry,” Niki took a shaky breath, “Check their pockets, Dream probably gave them extra cartages, or a better carbine.”
Wilbur turned to Eret expectantly.
Slowly, relucantly, Eret began to pull extra cartages from their pockets, letting them fall to the ground as Fundy and Tommy quickly grabbed his arms, pinning them behind her back.
Wilbur stared at them, disappointment in his voice as he said, “Put them in the café. We can deal with them later.”
Almost on que the sound of boots slapping the earth grew closer, and you quietly began to load your pistol as Dreams voice echoed up the barricade, “What the hell is this?”
Wilbur carefully scaled a part of the barricade , just enough to peak over the top, “L’manburg revolution!”
Dream audibly groaned, then turned to his men, “Open fire!”
Almost immediately all hell broke loose, and shots were exchanged over the top of the barricade as you rushed forward to drag Tubbo back, hissing, “Stay down.”
He frowned, but stayed put as you hurried back forward to rejoin the fighting, shoving George, who’d been attempting to climb the barricade, back down to the ground.
“Get back!” You heard Wilbur yell distantly, “Get back or I blow the barricade!”
Whipping your head around you found that the marble man had grabbed one of the smaller legs of gunpowder, and was now slowly lowering a torch toward the barrel.
“Wilbur no!” Tommy yelled, already trying to get to him to wrestle the torch away.
“And yourself with it?” Dream challenged.
Wilbur took a shaky breath, “And myself with it.”
Behind the mask, Dream wavered, slowly turning back to Sapnap, who shook his head, “Fall back!”
Tommy’s face changed as he jumped off the barricade, whooping as Wilbur laughed, slowly climbing down as various people scolded or congratulated him.
“My life is not yours to gamble Wil!” Niki yelled.
Wilbur waved her away, still looking somewhat relived that his plan had even worked as he started to address everyone again, “They may be regrouping! Hold yourselves in readiness, if we’ve made it this far we can take this victory!”
Tommy was still grinning and jumping around, grabbing your shoulder, “Did you see how they turned and ran! Ha! Cowards!”
“And so the war was won.” You scoffed, still looking to Wilbur.
Tommy rolled his eyes, muttering, “Cynic.” as he went to find Tubbo.
~~
When night began to fall, and the barricade was still standing, you found yourself sitting next to Niki on the edge of the barricade, sharing yet another bottle of wine from the café.
“Should I have ratted him out?” She asked, craning her neck to look at where Eret was slumped against the wall of the café.
“If you didn’t we might’ve died sooner.” You mumbled, taking a swig before handing the bottle back to her.
“Well- I just- I guess you’re right.” Niki tipped the bottle back, taking a long drink.
Wilbur came out of the cafe, arms loaded with bottles that he began to pass out, Tubbo following behind, passing out bread, before taking his spot next to Tommy at the base of the barricade.
“Fundy! Take the watch. They won’t attack until it’s light,” Wilbur called, offering out the last bottle, “We’ll use this time to rest.”
Jack Manifold chuckled, holding up the bottle he’d been given, “Well, lets drink!”
“Yeah!” Tommy yelled, a little too enthusiastically, “To all the women I’ve had!”
Tubbo laughed, elbowing him, “You haven’t had anyone!”
Niki chuckled, “To the life that used to be!”
“To the life that is to come!” Wilbur added.
You rolled your eyes, the liquor you’d consumed that day coursing through your veins as you stood, scoffing, “Yeah, sure, to days gone by. Could it be you fear to actually die Apollo?”
You shuffled forward, reaching out toward Wilbur, “You think that they’re gonna remember you when you fall? Is your death going to mean anything?”
His attention was back on you, and even if he seemed pissed you lived for that attention so you pushed on, grabbing onto his coat, “Is your life just one more lie?”
Wilbur seized your hands, throwing you off of him, “(Y/n) that is enough!”
You stumbled away, blindly grabbing the bottle from Niki, who simply grabbed your arm, leading you back toward the café.
“What the hell was that?” She hissed.
“This is gonna fail, I know its gonna fail. How can they not see that Niki? How can they not see that?” You rambled.
Niki pulled you past Eret and up the stairs to the storage room, “Stay up here, I’ll come get you once we’ve won.”
“Not gonna win.” You mumbled, “Hey- you got anything to drink?”
“Wine cabinet’s over there, don’t hurt yourself.”
With that she was gone leaving you to your wine and your thoughts.
~~
It was a warm day, and you watched as Wilbur and the rest gathered around the gap in L’manburgs wall, cheering as Tommy held his musket high.
Cheers of ‘we won’ fill the air, as your friends gathered around, cheering as the last of Dreams men fled, leaving L’manburg its freedom.
‘I guess I was wrong.’ Still, you smiled as you moved to stand next to Wilbur and the others moved away.
‘I suppose you were.’ Wilbur smiled.
You looked up at the pale blue sky, ‘it is nice to see freedom, I do have to admit.’
‘i knew you’d come around (y/n).’
Sighing you looked at him again, ‘what now, Apollo?’
Wilbur’s hand grabbed yours, ‘we dance.’
You froze, ‘d- d- dance? you want to dance- with me?’
‘why not?’ he chuckled, ‘i know you can.’
Slowly you took his other hand.
The day was warm, L’manburg was free, and you and Wilbur danced.
Distantly you heard a yell, “He’s the leader!”
‘Wil? what was that?’ you mumbled.
‘whats what?’
“Wilbur was the one who nearly killed George!”
You looked around frantically before turning back to Wilbur, whos face seemed to change, looking beyond you, “Shoot me!”
‘wha-’
Suddenly the day was cold, and not yet begun, as you bolted upright in the storage room of Niki’s café.
L’manburg was not free, and Wilbur was stood proudly, his back to the wall, barley visible beyond Dream, Sapnap and Sam, who all had the barrels of there rifles aimed at his chest.
Distantly, you felt yourself standing, “Long live L’manburg! I am one of them.”
Wilbur’s face fell to shock, “(y/n) what are you-”
The enemy still stood, frozen as you moved between there ranks, repeating, “Long live L’manburg! Take us both with one blow.”
Wilbur was still staring at you in shock as you turned to him, “Do you permit it?”
He smiled, understanding finally in his eyes, and then his hand was in yours as he turned back to face Dream, proud even in his last moments.
The day was cold and not yet begun, Wilbur’s hand was in yours, and you could not feel the bullets enter your chest.
All you could feel was his hand in yours, his smile still warming your face, until there was nothing more.

Alright, time to work on tying up loose ends ish. i think there’s like... 2 chapters left after this? idk, I’m still writing!
@petrichormeraki @helleborusangel
While most everyone wanted Grifter dead, the fact that he was the only way to free Xannes made them keep him alive. They did manage to get the Listener to let him out, but at the same time, he let his own family out as well before disappearing with them. Fortunately as they left, the world rolled back, undoing all the damage as well as leaving Grian rather grumpy that his hard work was gone.
Shortly after that, everyone had to keep Grian and Techno apart when the avian tried attacking him for being near Grum, who to Grian’s annoyance seemed perfectly fine around the warrior. He reluctantly accepted it, only to get piled on again as he tried to make a second nest.
Xannes hacked them all out of the castle, at least those he could. Kristen and Joe followed on their own a few moments later, everyone soon at the quartz mansion. Grian was immediately after as many blankets as he could obtain, Tommy laughing, but quickly helped out.
Kristen stayed for a bit, long enough to officially say hello to Grian once he was lucid enough, but stayed longer after Grum clung to her leg and refused to let go. Eventually she relented and got pulled into Grian’s blanket nest, Grum running off to drag Techno in next.
“So… how have you two been?” Kristen asked, before correcting herself. “Besides this whole mess that got me involved.”
“It’s been pretty pog since I found Grian. We didn’t even know we were related until, what? A week ago?”
“I’m sorry. I honestly had no clue.” Kristen apologized, but Grian shrugged.
“I don’t blame you. I ended up in a world that death didn’t seem to exist in, at least not really. People who died showed up as ghosts. So even if I did remember your job, I wouldn’t have blamed you there. Then there were the Watchers, and then apparently Zed’s been dealing with things in Hermitcraft. I- are you two related?”
“Yes, we’re siblings.” Kristen replied, shocking both Grian and Tommy.
Zedaph, who was nearby, stepped closer. “Why do you look so shocked? I thought you knew, or at the very least I thought Grian knew.”
“Is that why you acted so casual when you asked me to kill myself?!” Grian balked, making Kristen whip around to look at Zed.
“You asked him to what?!”
“It was for a game! I asked a number of hermits to see who could kill themselves the fastest for a prize! Honestly, I don’t see what the problem was since he started Demise a year later.”
“That was sort of my last shot to find anyone. I thought so much death would make Mum show up.”
“Well, as far as I know, she wasn’t even showing up for Phil after you left, so not like there was much hope there.” Tommy shrugged, though he said it in a joking manner. It still made Kristen frown before Tommy elbowed her. “Hey. It’s fine. I mean, we’re meeting you now and not before we found each other again, so that’s pretty pog too.”
As the two of them chatted, Grian managed to find some paper and ink and started putting together a quick family tree before handing it to Techno to fill in the blank of Fundy’s mom. “Alright, so Wil, Techno, Tommy and I are the kids of you and Phil. Wilbur’s got Fundy with someone named Sally?” Grian quickly looked to Techno who nodded. “Sally. Mumbo and I built Grum and Jrum, meanwhile Techno and Tommy don’t have any kids.”
“Yeah I’m still looking for the ladies.” Tommy jokingly boasted, getting some chuckles from those nearby.
“And I don’t see the point in relationships.”
“Aro, got it.”
“I prefer fireworks. I don’t need arrows.”
Grian stifled some chuckles before continuing. “You’re siblings with Zed, who’s currently with Impulse and Tango, which I’m not going to go further into for my own sanity. And then you and Dad are immortal or something, so who knows about your parents.”
Kristen nodded. “Good, but you’re forgetting your uncle.”
Grian showed off the chart. “What? No, I’ve got Zed there with Impulse and Tango. If you’re going with the misconception that Worm Man is related, I’ll have you know that Poultry Man has assured me that’s not the case. Plus Zedaph has an interview with Worm Man and they are definitely in the same place.”
Kristen half nodded. “Oh, I’m sure that’s very much the case. However, I’m talking about Phil’s brother.”
“Mum, I’m glad to meet you and everything, but could you have waited like another week to drop that on us too?” Tommy asked as Grian looked like he was on the edge of a breakdown.
“So, should I not mention he has-”
“Nope! Not now! And we’ll ask dad ourselves.”
“I was just a hermit a week ago. I was technically still an orphan. I had the hermits as a family. Now some of them are really my family. Why? Why? Why is this happening?”
“Okay G, time to go to bed.” Tommy said, pulling one of the blankets out of the nest and throwing it over Grian’s head, hoping the darkness would kick in Grian’s parrot brain and get him to calm down.
It was just at the right time too, because the door opened with Phil coming into the building. “How’s everyon- Kristen?!”
From there, all of the family currently in that world - other than Zedaph - ended up in Grian’s blanket nest. They chatted a bit before Kristen eventually had to leave, though she made sure to let all of them know how to call her if there was an emergency. Zedaph finally joined to take her place, getting glared at by Grum of all people. “You doing alright there?”
“I’m upset I didn’t know you were my uh… great uncle?”
“Grunkle has a better ring to it.” Zedaph smiled, but Grum just pouted and crossed his arms before being pulled into a hug from Grian. “But yeah, I’m sorry Grian. I can’t believe I never noticed you didn’t know.”
“No, it’s fine. I had a crazy enough story with my family growing up, what’s five more.”
“Five?” Phil asked, raising an eyebrow.
Grian started counting on his fingers. “Finding out that Tommy was my brother, the whole situation Techno caused, finding our Zedaph is related to me, finding out you’ve got a brother, and then Mum mentioning there was more to that.”
Phil sighed. “Oh, she told you about that? Okay first off, we’re half brothers, so that’s normally why he’s left out of things. Plus, he’s been doing his own thing for a while. I haven’t really heard from him since his letters about Minecrack.”
Grian paused, processing that new information before grabbing one of the blankets and screaming into it, Grum patting his dad on the back.
“Is he okay?” Phil asked, making Zedaph shake his head.
“Some of the hermits used to live there, so one of them might have met your brother. Sorry, half brother.”
“Ah, good to know.”
Grian slowly put the blanket down. “Okay, obviously talking is just making things worse. How about we all shut up for like… ten minutes while we still have some peace? I’m scared if we try much else, something else will come out of the woodwork and make things worse again.”
“Ugh, normally I’d hate not talking,” Tommy piped up with an agreeing groan. “But for once, you’ve got a point.”
“For once?!”
Tommy didn’t say anything else, just mimed zipping his lips up, locking them, and throwing away the key.
.
.
.
Grian woke up, glad it wasn’t from a nightmare. He, Tommy and Grum were the only ones left in the nest from before, but he smiled upon seeing the empty space had been given to Tommy’s friends. Ranboo seemed to have been dragged in based on his awkward position, likely by Tubbo and Michael who seemed much more comfortable.
Looking around, it didn’t seem anyone else was in the room, voices coming from elsewhere in the building. Grian carefully moved Grum closer to Tommy, the bot happily clinging to the teen instead. He then pulled himself out of the nest, doing his best not to wake anyone in the process.
He was glad to see everyone looked calm and nothing immediately seemed concerning. The closest thing was what looked like a living diamond walking around, but the fact that no one else was concerned made it less worrying. “So, who’s the new… person I think.”
Phil looked over to where Grian was standing now. “His name’s Skeppy. When the world got repaired, the people that weren’t already revived showed up. It also fixed my wings.” And he let one of them open up so Grian could see.
“Good to know. Nothing bad’s happened yet?” Grian asked, and Phil shook his head. “That’s good. Once Grum and Tommy are away, I’m going to be taking them home. I mean, unless Tommy wants to stay, because he might want to see people again, but Grum still needs repairs. Plus I need to talk with Mumbo about something I found out.”
“Anything bad?”
Grian shook his head. “Not necessarily, just something we need to be aware of.” Then Grian was quiet for a while before speaking up again. “You know, ever since I found it again, I’ve been taking care of the castle.”
“You mean… back in-?”
“Yeah. The place I grew up in has way too many bad memories attached. Evo’s gone and my building world is lonely. Hermitcraft is the closest thing I have to a home, but being able to take a break and go back there helps.”
Phil smiled. “Well, you’ll have to show me what you’ve done with the place.”
“Yeah.” Grian smiled. “I’ll try to visit with Tommy plenty. I’m sure you want to stay here now that it looks like things are calmed down. I’m sure you’ll want to visit us, or at least someone will, so I’ll look into that.”
“Just don’t go silent for eighteen years.” Phil joked, making Grian whack him in the back of his head with a wing.
From there, the two of them chatted, catching up. Both of them avoided the more unfavorable topics, which was a bit tricky, but they managed. At least they did for a while. “Hey… I’m sorry. I know I screwed up with Tommy.”
“Can we not talk about that?” Grian said, ruffling his feathers. “Enough has happened. I don’t want to talk about serious stuff right now.”
“Well who knows when we’ll get another chance.”
Grian sighed. “Fine, but I’m making it quick. Since you’re not going to be around, I’m just trusting you’ll maybe do better. I can check in any time I want, so just know if you screw up, there’s a good chance I’ll see it. There’s a good chance I’ll break down your door if I heard more stories from Tommy, but for like the next week or so, you’re safe. Is that good enough?”
Phil hesitated for a moment before responding. “Alright, sure.”
As soon as he responded, Grian went back to the other room, glad to see Tommy was awake. When Grian replayed the options to Tommy, the teen thought it over before deciding he would stay behind for a little bit at the very least. He didn’t want to disappear while Ranboo and Tubbo were both asleep. Grian made sure Tommy still had NPG’s old comm so that he could call for Grian to pick him up again.
Grian carefully picked Grum up, the bot clinging to his chest, then he opened a portal to take them home.
.
.
.
Grian was glad that the repairs ended up being mostly his job to fix. The redstone seemed unharmed, save for right near the trident wound and Grum’s buttons. Technically the buttons themselves were mainly aesthetic anyway, but some redstone was close by so they needed to be careful.
Once everything was fixed, they plugged Grum in to be safe and then Grian started explaining what he had learned. Mumbo was surprised and excused himself briefly to try contacting people for information. For the most part, he was able to get help, but in terms of whatever glitch the bots had, the information was too vague for anyone to get a good guess.
Grian got Xisuma to take a look, but unfortunately the admin couldn’t figure anything out. Neither could Xannes, but that was affected by NPG wanting to go home soon and check in his aerbunny.
With no other options, Grian was ready to use his Watcher magic, but he was quickly interrupted. Suddenly Grifter was there and threw himself into Grian’s arms, leaving the Watcher struggling to hold his double up before just dropping him. “What are you doing here?”
“Hiding?” Grifter answered innocently. “I kinda messed up, though Dad did too.”
“What did you do?” Grian growled as Grifter stood up and dusted himself off.
“Okay, so dad wanted me killing Nightmare. That’s cool, I did that. He just kinda let it slip his mind that he didn’t tell Punch. So now until Dad talks him down, I’m hiding here! Also watching for spies. Who knows where they could be hiding.”
Grian half groaned, half sighed. “How do I know you’re not going to destroy the place?”
“Uh, because that would make it obvious I’m here, duh. Look, just tell me what you want and I’ll do it. I mean, if it’s something other than leaving. I’m sticking here because if I get seen here, he’ll assume it’s just you. Wait, I’m going to need to get out of my new look. That’s no fun, I really like th-”
“Okay shut up for like five seconds. I don’t have the patience for this today. You said there was something of a glitch with my kids. Tell me what it is or fix it or something and you can stay for a bit. If you cause any trouble, you’re out though.”
“Oh yes of course!” Grifter responded, hugging Grian. “Okay, so the problem is kinda pretty simple. They aren't completely connected to this world so other data is being used to check where they’re from. If everything’s just within this world, it’s fine, but it fucks up their respawn if it’s not.”
“That’s… that’s it?”
“Yup! Just tell your admin and I’m sure he can- OH FUCK! Gimmie your bowwwww!” Grian suddenly started doing his best to climb Grian, having little luck with them being the same height. Grian did his best to keep his balance before seeing what exactly was freaking his hels copy. Nearby, a chicken had walked into view, and apparently that was the problem.
Grian gave a deadpan look before killing the chicken, which immediately calmed Grifter down. “You were scared… of a chicken?” He asked, raising an eyebrow.
“I said he could be sending spies!”
“And… those are chickens?”
“Yes! Of course!” Grifter exclaimed like it was the most obvious thing in the world. Grian wanted to sigh in exasperation, but then he realized that this was good news. If for some reason Grifter acted up, well, a certain hero could help save the day.
“Alright, maybe this might not be the safest place for you here, but you can stay.”
“Why? Why isn’t it safe? Are there lots of spies?”
“Oh, we have the worst one yet. His name is Poultry Man. Have you ever heard of him.”
“I have! I thought Xannes was lying! He’s really real?!” Grifter asked, trembling, making Grian have to hold in laughter.
“Well, he hasn’t been around for a while, but who knows? If - you said Punch? - if he’s looking for you, Poultry Man might show up.”
“Oh no! Do you have anything to stop him?”
Grian couldn’t help the sly smile that got onto his face. “Well…”
.
.
.
Grum watched as Mumbo looked through a bunch of books. He had gotten fixed up, but his daddy said there was still something they needed to figure out, so Dad was out doing that. But he had left a while ago and sitting in one place for a long time was getting boring. “Daddy, how much longer do I have to wait here?”
Mumbo jumped slightly before looking up from his book, which just made Grum frown. Obviously he had been forgotten about. “Um, well, I suppose that depends on what your dad does.”
“But I’ve just been sitting here for ages.” Grum crossed his arms.
“I know, but apparently there’s a bug in your system and until we can identify it, we want to keep you safe. You’ve already been through a lot, I’m sure you don’t want anything more happening.”
“But Daddy I-”
“Grum, this isn’t up for discussion.” Mumbo cut the bot off, who flinched back at the harsh tone. “I know. I don’t like it either. But sometimes the harder options are the better ones.”
Grum was quiet again, just thinking. Mumbo started to look at his book again, but then the bot spoke up once more. “Is it about Console? Or my chat in general?”
“What?” Mumbo looked back up, confused.
“Well, Jrum’s not here, so it has to be something that’s just me, correct? That would likely involve when the admin was using me as a console or the fact that I have gained a chat like Techno, Phil and, based on conversation, Dad.”
“Oh, you mean MFDD? At least I’m still pretty sure that’s what we said it was. I’d have to go digging for my old books again. And Grian might have them at this point.”
“What’s MFDD?” Grum asked, tilting his head.
“It’s the abbreviation for the condition we’re pretty sure Grian has. But it’s a condition that last I checked, was still in a sort of odd state, and I’ve been in Hermitcraft since school, so I’m not updated on it.” Mumbo glanced over to Grum, who just looked confused. “Right. Well, the simple version is that’s what the real name of your Dad’s ‘chat’ is. MFDD. But based on what he told me, that’s not what you have.”
“Oh. Wait, I don’t?” Grum asked, sounding worried and slightly panicked.
“Don’t worry, it’s fine. It’s nothing bad. I’m sure we’ll need to get it properly diagnosed, but the fact that you seem to have what’s like… multiple people in your mind and they can sometimes be in control, along with the fact that it happened after… stressful events. That all likely means it’s DID. Which essentially means you have multiple personalities.”
“And is that good or bad?”
Mumbo rubbed his mustache. “Well, I don’t think it’s necessarily good or bad in and of itself. I wish I knew more about this… In short, it’s at the very least not bad. Or at least not bad if you don’t let it be bad.”
“I still don’t understand.” Grum frowned, leaving Mumbo to try and figure out some other way to explain.
“Hmm… It’s. Uh… Well let’s see. Well it… no that wouldn’t make sense. It’s… Oh! So, when you’re building, say you make a house. And the house has a bunch of rooms. It’s all one house, but there are different rooms and um… well each one has its own person.” Grum nodded along, mostly understanding. “And well, you own the house even though others live there. Because you own the house, you’re in charge.”
“But sometimes I’m not. Like Console and Eyes decide to be in charge or I let them.”
“Well, sometimes something… happens. Like maybe you’re busy… cooking? And so if you’re doing that, someone else gets to be in charge. Or maybe you just want to… sit on the couch?”
Grum’s digital mustache twitched in thought before he nodded. “Okay, I think that makes sense.”
Mumbo nodded, turning back to his books before sighing, glad that what he made up on the spot worked.
“Mumbooooo! I’m back! I figured out what’s wrong! We need to take the boys to Xisuma!” Mumbo jumped from Grian arriving, then was confused to see two of him.
“Why is Grifter here?”
“Long story, it’s fine for now, we need Xisuma. Let’s go go go!”
Mumbo just stared for a moment before sighing and shrugging before going to get Jrum. It didn’t seem like anything bad was happening, so there was a fifty fifty shot it really was fine. Maybe less since there were two Grian’s involved, but it was something Mumbo came to expect with Grian in general.

Not So Baby Brother
Summary: Tubbo is trying desperately to bury his past, if only everyone around him wasn’t interested in digging back up in front of him.
A/N: Warning for hinted child abuse and endangerment. Both to Tubbo, Puffy, Schlatt, and to Michael. I try to keep the majority of it off screen or undetailed but it’s still there. These events coupled with his time with the SMP makes Tubbo in this AU who he is in the present. Which is emotionally withdrawn and prone to pushing people away.
Tubbo in the first flashback was about four, while Schlatt and Puffy were about 10.
~::~ 13 Years Ago ~::~
Tubbo was in his bed, hiding under the covers, hands over his ears as he heard the arguing and smashing of things across the house. The little four year old was so scared and he didn’t know what to do.
Then his door opened and Tubbo hiccuped in fear. He tried to stay quiet and still, hoping that if he did the person would just leave him alone.
A hand came down where his shoulder was.
Tubbo flinched.
“Tubster? You awake?”
The little boy let out a breath of relief, it was his big brother. Still scared, Tubbo peeked his head out from underneath the covers to see both his siblings there: Schlatt and Puffy.
Schlatt looked bad but he still smiled at Tubbo. “Hey don’t cry, c’mere[1].”
Tubbo was already crawling his way over to Schlatt and crying, and he couldn’t stop.
“C’mon,[2] you know what he’s gonna[3] do if he catches you crying,” Schlatt tried to calm him down.
Puffy came to sit next to them, her own eyes wet. Schlatt slightly rocked Tubbo to try and comfort him.
“Hey, T-Man,” Schlatt tried to soothe him. “Kinda[4] loud isn’t it?”
“We’ve got you,” Schlatt held Tubbo tightly, the younger brother still shaking and sobbing. “I won’t let anything happen to you, I promise.”
Tubbo nodded his head, clutching onto his brother. A little embrace of safety for a young boy whose life was so turbulent and scary. Tonight nothing would hurt, and that was what mattered to the young boy.
~::~ Present Day ~::~
“I was just thinking about it Tubbo . . . we like to have fun.”
“Schlatt, I can’t get out.”
“I know what you’ve been up to.”
“Uh, what have I been up to?”
“Everyone knows what you’ve been up to!”
“Do you know what we do to traitors, Tubbo?”
“. . . No?”
“Techno, you wanna come up here for a second?”
“Let’s just send a message, real quick.”
“Techno, if you would be so kind.”
“Murder him right now, on this fucking stage, and make it hurt!”
“Tubbo, I’m sorry, I’ll make it quick.”
“Techno, what the hell!”
“Wilbur!”
Tubbo shot up in bed, his eyes wild and heart racing. He was disoriented at first, expecting himself to be in some hole somewhere, still in pain after pulling himself together from a discorporation and desperate to escape before Schlatt found him again.
Tubbo surged out of bed, trying to get away.
Then he heard ruffling behind him and disgruntled child sobs.
And Tubbo came back to himself, he looked back to see Michael crying and Ranboo sitting up in his own bed. Tubbo mentally chastised himself.
“Mikey? Daddy’s sorry, did I wake you up?” Tubbo walked back to his bed, his pace quickening when Michael reached up and made grabby hands towards Tubbo.
Ranboo was already getting out of his bed and walking over to them. He looked like he was going to collapse in a heap of limbs on the floor. “Hmmm,” Ranboo hummed.
The two-toned teen stopped right outside the bed and gestured with his tail, “Can I join?”
Tubbo scooted over a bit, and Ranboo sat down as Tubbo tried to rock and soothe their adopted son. Ranboo making little cooing and odd vwoop noises, while Tubbo was humming some lullaby, that helped Michael fall back asleep with the familiarity.
A little family the two teens had carved for themselves.
Tubbo and Ranboo had found the small boy thrown away by some demon hunter as a “disappointing failure” and after Tubbo left Ranboo to tend to the scared and crying boy, Tubbo went to “fetch the adoption papers” and the mage was never seen again. Ranboo didn’t question what Tubbo had done but they took the boy, bundled him up in Tubbo’s jacket and got the boy some food before taking him into the Bee ‘n Boo before spending the next couple hours finishing the attic store room and Ranboo used their downstairs storage for all the establishment’s storage.
That day Ranboo busied himself around their bed and breakfast as Tubbo kept the boy entertained and fed. Michael immediately bonded with Tubbo, and Ranboo found himself falling in love with the boy as well.
The attic was immediately barred from all entry that wasn’t either of the owners. Tubbo made the announcement and was very firm. Beforehand it was frequently used as a temporary living space for Ranboo and Tubbo and they just didn’t want anyone in their personal space anymore.
Which was true but now Michael was there and Tubbo desperately didn’t want people like Quackity and Techno to find out about Michael quite yet. The boy had been through enough and . . . Tubbo wanted a little slice of peace.
He didn’t think that was too much to ask.
Right?
And it certainly didn’t help that bonds and possessions were treated like weaknesses to be exploited and used as currency. Sapnap and Dream had long since set a precedent for that.
So as Tubbo sat in the dark attic bedroom, holding his son in his arms, he pushed down his fear and focused on Michael, who needed him right now.
Soon the little boy was back asleep, tucked back into bed, and Tubbo threw up his arms. He got up because, after his nightmare, there was no way he was getting back to sleep.
So Tubbo changed into his suit and made sure he wasn’t wearing his horns before he left to go down to the staff lounge for a coffee.
“Tubs,” Ranboo called out, shifting in his suit and looking human. “You okay?”
“Yeah, go back ta[5] bed, bossman,” Tubbo dismissed.
“You sure, you’ve got a big day, and we got a lot to do here,” Ranboo looked uneasy.
Tubbo didn’t trust his voice at first, but when he did he told him, “Go back ta[5] bed. I’m grabbing a coffee.”
“Oh, okay,” Ranboo looked away and slowly went back into the room. Tubbo knew he wasn’t going to go back to sleep. But at least it gave Tubbo time to clear his head.
After three coffees, four hours of paperwork, and bullshiting around with Tommy for a bit; Tubbo was overjoyed to put on his Bomble Bee costume and start running around town with Tommy like a maniac.
It was freeing, the suit went on and he wasn’t Tubbo anymore. He was free.
Logic and Jackie were less than enthused to find them by themselves, and Tubbo didn’t appreciate the babysitter, but at least Logan didn’t talk down to Tubbo during it.
They went on a patrol around Brighton, and they were halfway through when Logan brought something up, “You have a sister?”
Tubbo flipped up his visor to glare at Logan, “Thought we agreed family wasn’t shit?”
“There was no agreement on that matter, that was merely a comment you made,” Logic sighed. “If you feel unsafe around your blood related family that is one thing, but demon magic or not you are still underage and the Coalition is bound to follow the law as far as it is actually protecting people.”
“I legally emancipated,” Tubbo countered, flicking his visor back down. “Tommy’s an idiot who doesn’t know how ta[5] do shit. I don’t need anyone ta[5] sign anything fer[6] me.”
“Do you have copies of those legal documents?” Logan asked.
“Yeah, at the BnB,” Tubbo told him. “You wanna pop on over?”[7]
“There’s no rush at the moment, you can email me those tonight when you get home,” Logan offered Tubbo an out. “However, I would like to know the nature of your relationship with your family. You don’t need to go into detail, I trust you had your reasons for emancipation if that was the route you chose to follow.”
“Don’t talk with my parents, if you can call ‘em[8] that, and I haven’t fer[6] years, I only really talk ta[5] my older sister?” Tubbo told him. “She lives in Gainesville with her girlfriend.”
“Are you on good terms with her?” Logan asked. “I wouldn’t want you in communication with someone who is hostile emotionally or physically to you or your family.”
“Nah, she’s alright, she’s part ‘a[9] the Server though, you wanna[10] meet her?” Tubbo smiled.
Logan thought on that, “We might want to send some kind of warning if we go over. Last I checked, several of them had sent me death threats. Does your sister know you’re working with us?”
“Oh yeah,” Tubbo lifted himself up with his bumble bee wings, looking quite proud of himself. “I got several pissed off texts from some ‘a[9] the guys after they saw me an’[11] Big Man on the news. It was great, Quackity screamed at me fer[6] at least five minutes.”
“Are you certain you will be safe when you visit your sister?” Logan asked again.
“Oh yeah,” Tubbo promised. “Come on.”
The logical Side continued to ask questions, letting Tubbo use his phone to send a supervised text to his sister: Puffy. Then they started making their way over.
When they got to the condo Puffy lived at, Tubbo didn’t even knock. In fact he practically kicked the door open.
“Puffy!” Tubbo cupped his hands over his ears and called into the townhouse, calling out at the top of his lungs. “You fuckin’[12] Niki in here?”
“Fuck you, Tubbo! You little gremlin piece ‘a[9] shit!” Someone shouted from upstairs.
Tubbo chuckled and announced loudly, “I bought company.”
“Hide the good kush[13]!” Someone else yelled and Tubbo laughed even more.
“Hey Hannah,” Tubbo greeted as he walked in and motioned for Logan to follow him. “Alyssa in?”
“Don’t care,” Hannah was on her phone, sitting in an armchair. “She’s probably off with Callahan.”
“Yeah, prolly[14],” Tubbo replied. He started walking towards the kitchen, he quietly motioned for Logan to follow him.
Tubbo immediately went for the fridge, leaving Logan to just look around the little space. It was obviously lived in, and on the far wall were some pictures of several women with various people Logan recognized as being from the Server. But there was one almost hidden, almost completely tucked behind a bowl full of different colored rocks. It was a small framed picture in the corner of the kitchen, almost hidden from view, of a much younger Tubbo surrounded by some people that Logan didn’t recognize.
Logan didn’t have long to inspect the photos and start making inferences that he would most likely never ask, because someone stomped into the kitchen.
She had fluffy hair that was a chestnut brown on one side, and white on the other. Flecks of rainbow hairs interspersed on both halves. She was one of the people in the picture, Logan quickly realized. She resembled Tubbo a little bit, and on prolonged examination, Logan noticed that her fluffy hair was hiding a set of thick, curled ram horns. The kind that looked capable of crushing someone’s skull if they made an impact.
Logan figured that Tubbo’s would probably look like that in a couple years, just a bit more like a goat’s.
Tubbo glanced at her before asking, “Where are those rad fuckin’ ice lollies yeh bought?”[15]
“You took them last week for Michael,” Puffy snapped.
“Ohhh, yeah, he loved those,” Tubbo smiled, closing the freezer. He gave her a smug look. “So you didn’t buy more then?”
“No,” she gave him the stink eye. Then she glanced at Logan. “Who’s your friend?”
“Pardon me,” Logan spoke up. “My name is Logic, from the Coalition, I believe I texted you a little bit ago.”
“Yeah, I did get something,” Puffy agreed hesitantly. “Who’s this?”
“My mentor,” Tubbo pointed at Logic as he closed the fridge
“Huhhh,” Puffy hummed. “Hey, Tubbo, why don’t you go into the next room and watch some Adventure Time?”
“Don’t kill him,” Tubbo told her pointedly.
“And take that fight from Bad and Big Q, are you insane?” Puffy told him. “Oh, wait, you build bombs, of course you are.”
Tubbo held up two fingers, his middle and index, and flipped her off before walking off.
“You asshole!” Puffy told him and Tubbo was already cackling in laughter. When he’d completely turned his back, Puffy rolled her eyes and smiled. “Ehhh, he’s a good kid.
“He is,” Logan agreed, “Tubbo is intelligent and resourceful. Even if he is threatening to set off explosives under the guise of experimentation.”
“Yep, that’s Tubs alright,” Puffy chuckled. “He always liked figuring out how stuff worked, even as a little kid. He’s like a baby mad scientist.”
“Excuse you, I am a full blown mad scientist, I e’en[16] have the arrest record ta[5] prove it!” Tubbo boasted from the other room.
“From what Tubbo has told me, you seem to approve of him working with us,” Logan commented.
“Hell yeah,” Puffy told him, leaning against the counter as she watched him. “Between Ranboo, the Bee ‘n Boo, and working with you guys; Tubbo’s happier than I’ve seen him in a while.”
“That is good,” Logan agreed. “Tubbo’s mental and physical well-being is of primary importance.”
“You talk like a textbook, you sure you’re not a robot?” Puffy asked.
“I do not classify as an inorganic being,” Logan answered.
“Sure you don’t,” Puffy smiled. “So what brings you to the neighborhood? I’m guessing you didn’t come over just to stand in our kitchen and look like Apple’s version of Robocop?”
“No, that’s not the reason I came to visit,” Logan agreed. “The Coalition prefers, if possible, to have a good working relationship with the families of our apprentices. So that in the case of emergencies they can be notified. While I am glad you and Tubbo seem to have a positive relationship, the more important question is are there any safety risks that any other members of your family would pose to Tubbo or his family?”
Puffy looked uneasy, “What has he told you?”
“Not much,” the logical Side admitted. “I haven’t known him for long enough, but when I asked him about his extraneous family, Tubbo mentioned he was emancipated, and that he was not in communication with his parents. He only mentioned you, and I have seen his son once.”
“We had an older brother,” Puffy frowned, looking over at the half-hidden picture. “Started turning into a demon around the same time as Tubbo and I, and he was . . .”
She looked down, “Well he was the type of demon you keep your kids away from, and I wasn’t there to keep my eyes on them.”
“That must have been a difficult experience for everyone,” Logan tried to offer his sympathies.
Puffy looked in the direction of the hidden picture, “I should have been there, it would have never happened if Phil and I had been there to stop them. But the real problem is Dream has something that can apparently restore a demon. I don’t know how thorough it is, or if it’s just something he tells Tommy and the others to make them afraid of what he can do. But he apparently needs some of the original demon’s essence or aura and both Schlatt and Will left those behind. Wilbur left Ghostbur behind, and Quackity cremated everything but Schlatt’s heart and five of his bones. Meaning if Dream gets his hands on even one of those bones then he could, if he does have that power, bring Schlatt back any time he wanted. And I’d ask you to get those bones from Quackity and Dream but that means going into the Server and there’s no way Dream would allow you in. Just, if Wilbur and Schlatt come back, promise me you’ll keep those three safe?”
“With my life,” Logan promised. “The death and manipulation of children are unacceptable.”
Puffy smiled, a breathy little snort coming from her, “You know, I always heard that legates were buttfuck insane. Glad to know you’re not.”
“I am not in the Coalition for fame and vainglory. Others might be, but I strive to make the world a better place, and such can only happen through the acquisition of knowledge and reason over fear. Of fact over fiction. Tubbo is, despite his demon aura and insistence to the contrary, still a child. And regardless of all of that he is a person who deserves to be in a safe and loving environment.”
“Yeah the Server’s never been that kind to minors,” Puffy scoffed. “It’s kinda[4] like taking a box of kittens and turning them into robotic war machines. Tubbo and Purpled just took to it better than the others.”
“How many minors are in the Server still?” Logan was concerned. The trio the heroes were dealing with already had their pasts marred by trauma and death, he’d never considered there were others still trapped in the same unsafe environment.
“You have three,” Puffy began counting. “Quackity still has Purpled and Fundy in Las Nevadas so they’re doing slightly better than they were before when they were working directly under Dream. You guys also got Jack, who just turned nineteen. But I would not trust Jack alone with Tommy, he threatened to kill him several times.”
“Thank you for the information,” Logan told her. “Anything else you can tell me about the other two minors?”
“So, Purpled is from a league of assassins and he loves money too much to defect,” Puffy dismissed. “You’d need to start paying him the big bucks to make him switch sides and Quackity already gave a good price. While Dream is paying his older brother through the nose to keep him out of Quackity’s hands as well. Punz is older than me though, so if Purpled went anywhere else it would be back with him. But Fundy is a different story. He’s Wilbur’s spawnling and Fundy is kinda[4] a basket case already. If you can get him away from Quackity, good, but I don’t imagine he’d go all that easily and Big Q’s only gonna[3] clamp down harder on him. Fundy and Tubbo were kinda[4] the server mascots back in the day since they were the babies of the group.”
“Everyone loved Tubbo,” Puffy smiled fondly before frowning sadly. “But that’s not the case anymore. He’s made himself a lot of enemies.”
“I see, thank you, I will relay the message to the others and we’ll do what we can for them,” Logan promised.
Puffy came off of the counter. “Thanks, no one in the Server really thought twice about those kids, they kinda[4] just tossed ‘em[8] around and personally I’m really glad you got the ones you do out of there. All three of ‘em[8] have been through enough.”
Then she went to poke her head out of the kitchen. “Tubbo, take yer friend and get out of my house, I don’t want you in here while we’re out.”
“Sure,” Tubbo kicked his feet up and already started for the front door. “Whate’er, go back ta snoggin’ yer girlfriend, I’ve got shit ta blow up.”[17]
And he was out, leaving Logan to immediately rush off after him, which got both of them out of the condo. Puffy watching them with a smile.
Tubbo, as it turns out, did not make good on his explosion test threats, he continued on his patrol, and then went back home to the Bee ‘n Boo. Walking in with a suit and his usual business-friendly smile. Logan, meanwhile, returned to the base to communicate with, especially Ethan, about what he had heard from Tubbo’s sister.
To clear his mind, Tubbo immediately went into his apiary to make sure his bees were alright. Which is exactly where Ranboo found Tubbo.
“Hey, Tubs,” Ranboo smiled and Tubbo managed a small smile back.
“Hey, bossman,” Tubbo was looking at him through the fringe of his hair, “how have things been?”
“Been alright,” Ranboo sat next to Tubbo, crossing his legs as he sat down. “You feeling better?”
“Yeah, why wouldn’t I be?” Tubbo denied, trying to ignore what had happened in the morning.
“Because,” Ranboo mentally halted, “this morning you screamed and you looked really scared, and I didn’t know how to help.”
“C’mon,[2] big man, I’m fine,” Tubbo lied. “E’eryone[18] has the occasional nightmares, I was just jumpy. Happens ta[5] e’eryone[18].”
“Y—” Ranboo looked away. “Yeah, I guess, but you know you can talk to me? Right?”
“Yeah, of course, same fer[6] you,” Tubbo told him, both teens knowing that they kept secrets from each other.
“I’m thinking,” Tubbo redirected, “pizza fer dinner. Wanna order somethin’?”[19]
“Sure, yeah,” Ranboo agreed and after Tubbo finished caring for the apiary, and the pizza was delivered, they both retired to their dwelling and Michael was very happy to settle down with both his dads for the night. The little boy stuffing his face with pizza, and trying to feed some to his stuffed toy chicken. The three of them watched cartoons until Michael fell asleep and Tubbo tucked him into bed.
Tubbo and Ranboo hoped that tomorrow would be a better day for all three of them.

more bitter than sweet (Ch. 2)

A crack of lightning interrupted the relative calm of the mansion. Tommy titled his head to the side in confusion. They hadn’t predicted any thunderstorms on the weather channel. Another flash of lightning and Tommy was standing up and moving towards the door. As soon as he saw what was outside, he rushed to open it.
The wind pushed him back, but Tommy took another step forward. What appeared to be a swirling blue vortex had appeared in the middle of the courtyard. The others were already outside.
“Stay back, Tommy,” Tommy heard someone- probably Schlatt- yell. He scoffed, though the sound was ripped away by the wind. Like hell he would stay put.
A figure was barely visible, pushing through the vortex. Schlatt and Techno tensed up, ready for battle. With a strangled cry, the figure pushed themself all the way through the portal and it closed up behind them with a vwip .
Tommy staggered with the sudden lack of wind, before rushing forward to join the half-circle his siblings had formed around the stranger. They groaned and pushed up to their knees, breathing heavily.
“Uh-” Ranboo said. Everyone turned to glance at him. His eyes were blown wide as if he had seen a ghost. Ironic.
“Is it just me...or is that Niki?”
Tommy’s mind short circuited. He rushed forward to help the figure off the ground, and she looked up at him. He held a hand to his mouth and tried to keep his emotions in check.
“Niki?” He asked quietly. He didn’t have to ask. It was undeniably her, with her bubblegum pink hair and her round, open eyes, still wearing her SBI uniform. She smiled hesitantly at him.
“Hi, Tommy,” She said, brushing a strand of hair behind her head and standing up fully.
Tommy didn’t want to take his eyes off of his not-dead sibling, but he could imagine his siblings were just as shell shocked as he was.
“Niki-” a voice choked out. Wilbur. “We thought you were dead.” Tommy could hear the sorrow in Wilbur’s voice. They had always been close, growing up. Always there for each other. Wilbur had taken Niki’s disappearance particularly hard.
“Well, I’m back,” she said, not unkindly.
Wilbur froze for a second, before rushing towards her and sweeping her up in a hug. Niki tensed for a moment, before relaxing slightly and hugging him back. She pulled back after a few seconds. Wilbur looked like he wanted to hug her again, but she ducked beneath his arm and started walking towards the house as if things were normal.
Tommy caught up to her, walking by her side, unable to take his eyes off her face. He had thought he would never see her again. They all did.
“I have many questions,” Techno drawled, but Tommy could see that even he was shocked.
“And I’ll gladly answer them,” Niki smiled back at him. Tommy wanted to ask her where she had gone and why she had come back, but he bit his tongue. Niki led them to the kitchen, walking briskly, and the brothers all followed close behind. She made herself a sandwich while everyone settled around the kitchen, perched on various counters and stools.
Niki took a bite of her sandwich and closed her eyes in bliss. She took a few more bites, before regretfully setting it down and looking at her assortment of siblings.
“So,” she began casually. “What do you want to know?” Chaos resounded as everyone started asking questions immediately, cutting each other off and trying to get Niki to listen.
Tommy tried a few times, before sighing and screaming at the top of his lungs, “Shut up!”
It worked, everyone’s grumbles slowly faded out, and Schlatt cleared his throat.
“Where did you go?” he asked first.
Niki pondered the question for a second. “I went to the future,” she said eventually, “Looks like dad was right, huh? I was never ready for time travel.”
Ranboo perked up. “What was the future like?”
Niki glanced at him, something unrecognizable on her face. “It’s...not good.” She looked down at her hands and took a shaking breath.
“Niki?” Wilbur prompted gently.
“I was stuck there for 45 years . I think I’m done thinking about it for a while. I’ll tell you someday.” She pushed herself up to her full height and let her eyes roam to each person individually, daring them to contradict her. When she caught Tommy’s eye, he resisted the urge to shrink down. Her gaze was so intense, and even he knew better than to push farther.
Tommy couldn’t stop staring at his sister, as if she would vanish again the moment he looked away. Niki saw him watching her and offered a small smile.
“Don’t worry,” she said quietly to him, reading his expression. “You won’t lose me again.”
---
It was raining by the time they went outside for the funeral proceedings. Tommy suspected as much- looking at the weather when he had arrived, it didn’t come as a surprise. His umbrella helped him stay dry, but the ripping winds still sent shivers through his body. Ranboo’s multi-colored umbrella stuck out like a sore thumb and Tommy had to give props to him for his audacity. Reginald had never liked colors.
Schlatt’s umbrella was all but broken in the wind yet he didn’t seem to notice. The urn with their father’s ashes was held gently under his arm. Schlatt stepped forward, passing his umbrella off to Wilbur.
“Does anyone want to say a few words?”
Nobody stepped forward. Schlatt looked around disapprovingly.
“Why aren’t you sad that our father, the man who raised us, is dead?”
Tommy resisted the urge to scoff. He figured it wouldn’t go over well. Reginald might have raised them, but he had never been good at it, and he certainly had never been a father.
Techno had no such reservations, letting out a quiet “good riddance.”
Schlatt turned to him, anger alight on his face. He had been especially sad and irritable recently, even if none of his siblings shared the sentiment.
“How can you say that?” he accused. Techno stayed silent, sharpening his blade with a methodical back-and-forth motion.
“Ranboo,” Wilbur interrupted before a fight could break out. Ranboo looked up at Wilbur, a question in his eyes. “Can you summon dad’s ghost?”
Even Schlatt fell silent to await Ranboo’s answer.
He laughed. “I thought I was the one with the memory problem,” he joked. “Of course I can, that’s literally my power.”
After a moment’s pause, Techno drawled out, “Well…?”
Ranboo startled, before nodding rapidly and Schlatt set down the urn on the damp earth. Ranboo crouched next to it and settled his hand on it, coughing loudly to clear his throat.
“Um, hi,” he said out loud. “Dad? Yeah, can you uh- come talk to me, maybe? Schlatt wants to know whether your death was accidental and will never get off my case if this doesn’t work. Techno is still doing his weird hero-complex stuff and probably needs a good lecture; Wilbur has abandoned us, come talk some sense into him; Niki actually admitted you were correct for once- and I know you always wanted to see the day. Uh- Tubbo’s still dead but he’s still a nerd and still way too chaotic- though I suppose you might’ve already met him in the afterlife or wherever you are.”
Ranboo paused, glancing to his side and hissing, “Shut up, I’m trying to talk to dad.” Tommy looked to his siblings but they were all too busy gaping at Ranboo or opening their mouths for an angry retort to question who he was talking to.
“C’mon, c’mon,” Ranboo muttered, slapping the ashes lightly. “Hurry up, get over here, you stupid ghost.”
After another minute of nothing happening, Tommy moved forward and put a hand on Ranboo’s shoulder, pulling him away from the urn. Ranboo groaned and raked a hand across his face.
“I feel him,” he admitted sullenly. “I feel his ghost but he refuses to talk to me.”
“Or maybe you just aren’t good enough,” Schlatt muttered.
Techno pulled himself up to full height and glared at Schlatt’s head as Schlatt picked up the urn. He went to scatter the ashes, but the rain clumped them all up, ruining the effect. Niki snorted at the pathetic display.
“You just love tearing everyone down, don’t you?” Techno glowered, sending a look towards Ranboo, who seemed crestfallen at Schlatt’s offhand comment, though he was hiding it well.
“What?”
“Does it make you feel better about yourself? Is that why you do it?” Techno advanced towards Schlatt, menacing. “Does it help you sleep at night, upholding dad’s legacy to the point where you will do anything in your power to make us all feel like garbage?”
Hypocrite , Tommy thought, remembering the way Techno refused to even look in his direction.
“Dad only wanted what was best for us,” Schlatt sniffed, not backing away from Techno’s silent challenge.
“Are you joking? Schlatt, I don’t know how long it will take for you to get this in that thick skull of yours, but Dad abused us. He’s not some picture perfect role model, and yet you’re trying to turn out just like him!”
Tommy sighed and followed Ranboo, who was already leaving the scene. He tapped Niki’s arm as he passed, and without a backwards glance, she followed them back inside. Tommy winced at a thud and looked over his shoulder, just in time to see Schlatt tackle Techno to the ground. Techno whipped out one of his knives. Wilbur was flitting around, unsure of what to do.
Techno slashed out towards Schlatt and rolled out from his hold, and Tommy turned back around for deniability. He refused to be a witness if Techno actually stabbed Schlatt, which didn’t seem like such a wild possibility at this point.
He only did look back towards the fight when he was safely back inside the manor, umbrella tucked away and in the process of tugging his coat off. A crash resounded through the courtyard.
With a rapidly sinking heart, Tommy looked back to see Tubbo’s memorial statue, on the ground, broken from its pedestal. It had originally been placed there as a reminder of the SBI’s failure to protect their brother, but as it fell, it felt like another part of Tubbo’s memory had been destroyed too.
---
Schlatt is fourteen years old. He is the oldest of all the Hargreeves siblings. The children sit in a row of chairs, ordered by how important they supposedly are. Schlatt, Number One, sits in the first chair, arm cuffed down. Phil is tattooing a small symbol on his inner wrist, a design of a dark, threatening bird taking flight. Schlatt bites his lip to keep from crying out.
They all take their turns, each trying not to cry as the insignia is burned into their skin.
Tommy is only five, but even young, he understands. He watches, almost sadly as everyone gets a tattoo, except for him. Later that night, Tubbo complains to him about how much it hurt. How he wishes he was in Tommy’s place, exempt from the pain their father put the rest of them through.
Tommy sees it as the opposite though. It’s better to be united in suffering than to be alone. Still, Tommy lets Tubbo rant and doesn’t share his thoughts.
Alone in his room at midnight, Tommy draws on his own crow in black sharpie.
---
With the pathetic funeral over, the Hargreeves were avoiding each other like the plague. They only met briefly in the kitchen to get breakfast. Schlatt poured himself a cup of coffee, and Niki blinked into the kitchen, snatching it from his hand and ducking under his arm, ignoring her brother’s shout of protest. In one gulp Niki downed the coffee, before making a face and tossing the empty cup over her shoulder.
She ignored the loud smashing sound and Wilbur’s mournful cry of “My favorite mug!”
“Where around here can I get a decent coffee?” she asked irritably.
Techno stared at her from his place in the corner. “Do you not remember-?”
Niki rolled her eyes, sticking her hands in her pockets and leaning back on her heels. “No, idiot, it’s been 45 years since I was last here. A lot is changed in the future.”
Ranboo raised a hand as if waiting to be called on. “Then- why do you still look 12?”
“I made a mistake in my calculations, and eventually had to resort to moving my consciousness into a version of me that exists in this timeline, and the last time I existed in this particular timeline was when I was 13 and first time jumped, so, ergo, my mind has been stuck into this ridiculously small body.”
Based on Ranboo’s expression, he didn’t fully understand at all, but he nodded anyway.
“You could head down to Quackity’s donut shop downtown?” Tommy suggested from on the counter, having just taken his anxiety pills and tuning into the conversation. “He makes a fairly good cup of coffee, plus: donuts.”
Niki tilted her head to the side. “That’s not actually a horrible idea. Care to join me?”
“Can’t, sorry,” he shook his head. “I’ve got piano lessons to teach in about an hour or so.”
“I’ll come,” Ranboo offered with a grin.
To everyone’s surprise, Technoblade sighed, standing up fully and stretching. “Somehow I doubt that either of you actually have any money, and Niki looks 13, so I’ll drive you there.”
“Great, let’s go!” Niki said, clapping her hands and taking large strides towards the door. Techno followed at a leisurely pace and Ranboo waved back to the other as he left.
Tommy gave a mock salute to Wilbur and Schlatt who continued to stand in the kitchen.
“I’ll be staying for a week or two before flying home,” Wilbur offered. “Come find me after you're done with your lessons for the day. As annoying as you are, I want to hang out with you a bit before I leave.”
Right. Wilbur was flying back across the country soon. He had almost forgotten. Tommy nodded and exited the building.
Wilbur and Schlatt both finished grabbing breakfast and headed their separate ways in the mansion.
...
Across the house, Philza had been dusting the same lamp for an hour straight. In the back of his mind, it registered that he was malfunctioning again. He was rather self aware that way. Straightening up, Phil went back to his charging station and plugged himself in. His work was done for the day.

Okay a couple of things:
1. you can absolutely read this fic without knowing the plot of TUA. 2. I call them the SBI instead of the Umbrella Academy, even though y e s, i know that a lot of them aren't in the SBI. shh. that's just what I'm calling the group as a whole. 3. unlike the show, they aren't all the same age. they were all born on the same day at the same time, but on different years, because I said so. Schlatt is the oldest and around 25 and Tommy is the youngest and around 16 and everyone else is somewhere in between. 4. as in the show, Schlatt has been on the moon for four years directly before the events of this fic. Wilbur is a famous musician rather than a movie star. Techno is still a vigilante. Ranboo isn't a drug addict, he just has a really bad memory and blacks out occasionally(because of his powers, somehow). Tommy plays piano instead of violin and gives younger kids lessons. 5. Wilbur and Techno both moved out of the house when they hit 18, respectively. About a year before the events of this fic, Ranboo and Tommy ran away and got an apartment together. 6. for people who haven't seen the show, basically Schlatt has super strength, Techno can manipulate the trajectory of objects, Wilbur can 'rumor' people and convince them of stuff/to do stuff. Ranboo can speak to ghosts, Niki can 'blink' or jump through space and time. Tubbo is dead(I will talk about his powers more during the actual fic), and Tommy doesn't have a power.
+7. (cursed) one of my friends who was beta-ing this said that they kept picturing Philza in a maid dress in this AU and now I cannot get that mental image out of my head. someone help me. please note that he is *not*, in fact, wearing a maid dress.
