love the idea of a zuko that gets so insufferably hot as he ages. like he’s almost 30 and people on the streets pass out when they see him, he’s just so gorgeous. even his friends are all like “don’t look directly at me, you’re making me uncomfortable.” but then there’s sokka, who doesn’t treat him any differently at all. he’ll run into zuko while he’s sparring in all his shirtless and sweaty glory but won’t pause one second before he explodes with his new ideas on how to improve the architecture of the turtle duck pond in the courtyard to make it more friendly to other animals and turn it into a healthier ecosystem for the native plants. and zuko loves this part of sokka—he loves sokka—so why is sokka the one and only person who doesn’t seem to find him attractive?

him waiting by her bedside til she wakes up. him stressing over if she’ll wake up or not. the immediate hope in his eyes when she stirs. “Hunter?” “hey, kid.” the combing his fingers through her hair as she wakes up. her trying to sit up and his hand moves to hers as his other goes behind her neck to support her. how he gently lowers her back down when AZ enters the room. his hand going behind her neck again to support her as she sits up. her recalling what she could last remember and getting emotional and him comforting her. him draping his arm over her shoulder to comfort her crying. him telling her they’d like to settle down in Pabu and asking her if that’s what she wants; her nodding in response and him saying “that’s what we’ll do.” hemlock commenting on how “parental” clones are. “We are going to get her back. <3 Ryan’s Smile <3

When you’re dancing, you’re expected to keep or have certain facial expressions that fits with the scene you’re performing. And, during full run throughs, you’re not supposed to break character. Your expressions are seen as part of your character and costume, not having it right during a scene is heavily frowned upon, even in practice. 

We see all of the dance troupe doing this, keeping the same expressions during every run through, no matter what happens with Johnny. This is what’s expected, this is the standard, this is normal in run throughs.

And yet we see Ryan, the Ryan who’s shown and presented as the perfect dancer, the best of the best, willingly break character. He was so happy to see Johnny do the routine, he broke character, risked getting in trouble, to smile at him.

We can see his expression visibly soften, his ear perk up, and he smiles. He looks so proud and happy for Johnny.

Truly, the bestest boy. <3
