following on from this. not to always bring marc into everything (sorry marc) but if assen 2015 had happened against jorge, valentino would have very likely pulled something similar again imo. rather than what he actually did, which is approach marc almost immediately for a nice normal friendly handshake and backing off during the podium celebrations. should be noted that during laguna seca '08, valentino was very much committed to yapping at casey on the podium with the world's biggest smuggest grin on his face

partly that disparity is because jorge not marc was the direct title rival, partly it's because valentino was treating marc with kid gloves right until the second that he wasn't, which marc was seemingly entirely oblivious to. if anyone other than marc had said what he said in that presser, had then continued on with similar rhetoric during sachsenring, valentino would quite likely have gone nuclear. he's done it over less than that. his fondness for marc made him continue to exhibit uncharacteristic restraint... except that fondness unfortunately is what left valentino feeling so very betrayed when (to his eyes) marc could not leave well enough alone

It was kind of hectic when Mikey saw the tots for the first time ever, while also being emotionally stunted, so the warming up is kind of a slow but surely process!

The whole "Claudia is now his sister"/Louis' sibling comparisons are never gonna sit right with me because that's never going to erase the fact that Claudia exists as a vampire partly because of him. Their relationship will never have this clearly defined role of siblings in the same manner Louis had with Grace or Paul, even if he was their older brother and was implicitly given the role of providing for them as the successor and manager of his family's estate. Because Louis was never responsible in part for their creation, the reason why they existed the way that they do in terms of behavior and life itself.

It also makes his betrayal of her all the more heartbreaking in ways that him and Grace drifting apart never will. He was her father, and didn't provide emotional support for her. She had to turn the tables and try to assume the role of being on an equal level because of this failure but this doesn't make him not choosing her any less painful than it did the first time. Even as they shift roles, take or give emotional responsibility one has towards the other, the fact that Claudia exists the way she does because of him and Lestat will always be there.

To be fair to YJ, they did reneg on the idea that the speedforce didn’t exist on earth 16 because I think they realized the implications of not having it (aka making earth 16 not connected to the dc universe among other petty flash things) but they did say that people in that universe don’t know about it yet and that’s why I tend to think an easy out would be in the trauma of the event Wally misremembers how he got his powers and doesn’t remember the lightning storm outside and even his strict agnostic magic isn’t real mindset (that is def no where close to his clap if you believe mindset in the comics, and is more Barry’s mindset) is a way of protecting his own preconceived notions and mind from whatever he saw when he first entered the speedforce which may have been his own first “death” or maybe alternate versions of himself.

One of the things that @babyflash has talked about is Wally as a kid/teen experiencing weird speedforce shit mostly alone like getting stuck in happy death day time loops via thawne/Savitar among other things.

Ohh I could talk about Wally not being /human/ all day. I can imagine everyone being weirded out by him not because they know he's not human but because of the little things

Just imagine — and yeah this is Danny Phantom body horror level, maybe even more — how horrifying it would be to not know that there's an eldritch being among humans but to know that you're it. I don't know, I just think people should talk about the potential this has more

I want the characters to notice thay “Hey! This is not normal!” and just not care. I want them to realize that Wally's everything has always been kinda off but writing it off as superhero stuff

I want the little things to be shown more in media. Like how speedsters somehow always know when someone enters the room even if they currently can't hear/see for X reasons. Or like how they seem to be constantly vibrating, or how they generate lightning when they get too excited

I want someone to look at their friends and realize that they're not aging. At all. Even though Flash is supposed to be one of the most ‘normal’ ones of the league in terms of humanity, he's still not aging, and that's honestly really scary if you think about it

It'd be cool if someone realized that no, speedsters aren't impatient, it's just that everything goes so slow for them and hey, you wouldn't be able to sit still either if 5 minutes was 5 hours to you. Because speedsters tend to overthink everything. You'll walk up to them and ask them a question and they've already thought of 100 different ways the conversation could end

I think it'd be very cool if someone, idk, wrote a fanfic about the league (JLU) somehow losing their powers and Wally panicking because oh no he can't think anymore. Everything's suddenly going so fast and he's gotten used to acting slower for everyone around him so now that he doesn't have to do that he's so slow to react. He's way more anxious than usual because now he has no time and there's nothing he can do about it because he has no powers

Speedsters tend to enter Flash Time whenever they're feeling down so that people don't notice. Now that he can't, the team notices how much more quiet and sad and scared he looks, and it's honestly terrifying because he's the happy, funny one! If he's not laughing, then the matter is way too serious for them

The last time he didn't smile in battle was when he almost died fighting the Brainiac/Luthor thing

I also think it'd be cool for them to have like, little twitches or ticks (is that what they're called?) sometimes that are usually unseen because of their powers, but if they lose them...

Idk. This has sm potential and ppl need to talk more about it

And intimacy coordinators literally choreograph the whole thing, and make sure everyone feels safe and comfortable.

But like, this is why people think actors are dating in real life or fucking in secret, it's part of why RPF exists

Acting is their job - they're professional play pretenders. And again it's all choreographed/coordinated - so what is likely going through their head is "and now I place my hand where he said he wanted it, and I'm going to dip my head here so it looks like I'm doing X. What's the next thing? Oh yes, I trace my hand down his chest. Man, this position is uncomfortable. I hope we wrap this shot soon, I'm cold".

Acting for film/TV especially is much more boring than people think because there are so many moving parts (which means a lot of set up and waiting for things to be ready, pausing for blood to be added or pausing for make-up, pausing for a costume change, etc. Everything is completely silent, sometimes your costars aren't even actually physically there with you, etc.). Not to mention shots can have to be redone.

The fact that it's pretend should ENHANCE the experience for you, not take away from it. It's okay that it's not real! It's good even! Who wants to live in real life All The Time? No one! It's why we consume media in the first place

i want eddie to see steve (he came to pick up dustin for some shit- and maybe to see his legendary brother that he goes on and on ab) and is ab to start being a little shit before he realizes steve is blind and is just like “… what” (playing back every interaction/time he saw steve in high school trying to make it make sense) and then ends up spending like, half an hour with the guy while waiting for Dustin to finish some chores he forgot. in that time he found out that steve harrington- “henderson,” Steve corrected- loves a good pun, is full of endearingly awkward charm, is funny, sarcastic and nothing like how Eddie thought King Steve would be. another thing he found out in that time is that Dustin takes forever to do the dishes and take out the trash, and that steve is perfect, bc he kept offering to help, despite Dustin’s attitude and commands to sit down. When they finally leave, Eddie realizes another thing. he has a crush on steve henderson He had just offered to be Dustin’s designated driver, and according to Dustin’s raised eyebrow and Steve’s smile, it wasn’t in his head.

Writing prompt: Steve gets blinded after season 3. He gets to move in with Dustin after parents refuse to be there for him. Hey, they left him money. (Yeah, his parents are assholes.) Anyway, Eddie's new sheep keeps going on about his brother, and he finally gets to meet him only to find that it's Steve Harrington. Eddie immediately falls for the charming blind guy who keeps making cheesy blind jokes.
