Guys I’ve been playing this indie video game I found of a small studio I liked prior work of, and. it is SO GOOD. And also weirdly therapeutic in the current political climate? It is this steampunk dystopian adventure game, really beautifully made with all these art nouveau elements. You play as a woman of colour that is unwanted by the regime and therefore, your life is in danger (sound familiar?). But unlike in real life, you get to beat up the cops in here! You get to smash the fucked up system to bits! It is honestly sooooo nice to be in that world, build a resistence, and fight back in a concrete way that I have yet to find in my daily life.

And the game is obviously a labor of love. The music was composed especially for the game, and all the dialogue is voice acted, which gives it such a real touch. The artwork is amazing. The story is so layered and poignant, about propaganda, misinformation, AI and the nature of humanity, and despite all the bullshit it still manages to feel hopeful.

I haven’t felt this way about a game in a long time and didn’t expect this at all beforehand. It was cheap on steam so I got it, but it was so much better than I expected for that price and from such a small studio. Treat yourself. Maybe it's because I've heard "Voices Carry" a million times (appropriately, being 'Til Tuesday's biggest hit), but this song can make me get up and DANCE like not many other songs motivate me to do, and I think "I Could Get Used to This" is actually my favorite song off of Voices Carry. Also because I've gotten so used to it (enjoying it so much; also, pun intended) that I don't get tired of it, unlike any other songs on the rest of the album (sorry to "Voices Carry" and "Love in a Vacuum").

if you have the opportunity, i strongly recommend you go see neil gaiman vibe with fourplay live onstage. idk how to explain it in clear terms (my one friend who did know said: neil reads poetry and stories to music and sometimes sings which does not actually explain it) but if you go in with no expectations, it will somehow still perfectly meet expectations!

just imagine someone, anyone, who spends a disproportionate amount of time on tumblr (proportionate = 0 to 0.25 hours per month so anything more than that) is given leave — or, not only leave but is in fact paid a lot of money from ticket and merch sales — to take their mutuals onstage with them to perform to a hostage audience for up to three (3) hours. they clearly have absolute creative freedom and what they want to do is show off things they wrote/made/composed/etc over their lifetime. no shame allowed and anything goes but they gotta fill that time and also do 1+ encore(s). and they did.

so that was the energy. also i could imagine a tumblr account for everyone present, audiences and otherwise.

anyway, strongly recommend! what a vibe.

deanna! you lovely soul, i am stuck with liam thoughts, and i can't really explain it, but - liam sitting on a rooftop with friends, or around a bonfire, or on a balcony, or at the lake during hot summer nights. sharing the drinks someone brought. making these cookie/marshmallow combos! sharing stories! sharing laughs! liam accompanying mickey and ian on a vacation / roadtrip. liam teaching franny how to write her name! them on the playground! liam goofing around with franny because he doesn't CARE if the adults judge him for wiggling his way through the too-tiny-for-his-teen-body tube. liam going to college! him moving out! coming back for the summer break and everybody celebrating him! because he's been missed! liam being hauled into the biggest bear hug by ian and getting a fond little side hug/hair ruffle from mickey. him sitting at the kitchen table listening to freddie's school stories that are childishly stupid, but freddie's enthusiasm makes him laugh.

just! liam being allowed to be carefree and wild and a teen/young adult and to live his life a little a lot different than his siblings could, thanksokaybye.

you are so right about all of this. he is such a GREAT loving uncle, and a great little brother too tbh! his bigs are all gonna make sure he is taken care of and feels loved.

i also love thinking about him going off to college. he is clearly going to do great at college and have so much fun and make so many great long lasting friends!

ngl my heart hurts for little liam at the end of season 11, we know he’s gonna be the most effected by franks death. but like i said before, his family unit is gonna get stronger and closer than ever post-season 11, i just know it. even if they end up living in a few different homes between the south side and the west side, they’ll be together all the time. and that kid is so independent he’d be taking the public transport to whichever of his siblings he feels like hanging out with whenever he wants! (i like to think he goes over to ian and mickeys a lot to play video games with mickey)

so yeah wow thank you for spreading the liam thoughts and feelings and for sharing so many perfect little moments!! i may be spiraling a little bit over him now!!! feels 😗👌 GREAT 💕
