Pairings: Klaus Mikaelson x Reader

Warnings: .....Y’all might hate me by the end of this one?, Character death, betrayal, fights, all canon typical stuff.

Author’s Note: LIKE the warning said, Y’all will hate me by the end of this one. This part concludes the last part of the request for this series. With that being said, there is only one more part to this. Brace yourselves, it’s gonna be a ride.

“You want me to do what?” Hope asked watching Y/N as she got up from her spot.

Y/N sighed as she ran her hand along her face. “Believe it or not, this isn’t about you getting into trouble or anything. I just prefer to not let your dad know that I’ve had your blood in my system. We both know he’d end up getting in the way when it comes to going up against the witches.”

“You make it seem like they’ll be coming tonight.” Hope shook her head. “As long as you don’t do anything reckless for the next day or so, you’ll be okay.”

Y/N gave her a smile. “Our session today has just confirmed my timeline for my visions.”

“They are coming tonight, aren’t they?” Hope asked taking a step back. Y/N nodded and Hope ran her hand through her hair. “I just fed you my blood and there is a very huge possibility that this could go wrong.”

Y/N chuckled. “I doubt it. But I need this to stay between us. That way I know for sure your dad, or even the rest of your family, will be safe from whatever is coming.”

Hope sighed. “Are you expecting to die tonight?”

“I hope not.” Y/N admitted. “But if that’s what is going to happen. There is that positive thought of being able to come back from it.”

“This is crazy.” Hope said as she placed her hand on her forehead. “He’s going to know something is off.”

Y/N shrugged. “Maybe for a bit. But then I can say it's because I let it slip that everything starts tonight.” Y/N knew how this must have sounded to Hope. She knew that this sounded crazy even to her own ears. But if there had to be one casualty, it might as well have been her.

“Alright.” Hope said with a nod. “I’ll keep this from him. But if anything happens to you, Y/N, I’ll tell him.”

Y/N nodded. “That’s a deal.”

Y/N had just sat down on her bed when Klaus came into her room. Her eyes moved over to him as an eyebrow raised, watching as he took each step into the room. The look on her face asking what this was about.

“I can’t let you do this on your own.” He said as he walked over to her. “You’ll get our help without any complaints.”

Y/N shook her head. “Come on Klaus. I can handle this on my own. There are several things in play that I can’t fully explain. But this has to be all me.” She stood up from the bed, standing in front of him. “Your family can try to help as much as they want, but my visions-”

“You haven’t so much as let any of us in on these visions of yours.” He noted as he crossed his arms over his chest. “How do I know you aren’t keeping something from us.”

The words had shocked her, causing her to look away from him. “I get it, I have way too many secrets to have you trust me on this.” She shook her head. “Telling you them isn’t going to change anything. Every detail that I tell you is set pretty much bound to happen.”

Klaus searched her eyes as she spoke. He hadn’t missed the way they dimmed as she spoke about the visions. “The look in your eyes tell me you have reason to worry about these visions.”

Her eyes never left his as she looked up at him. She kept herself calm in front of the hybrid, not about to break down just because he wanted to know what she had seen. She would hold her ground for as long as she needed to.

“Of course I have reason to worry. It’s me that are in these visions. And every time they play, you and your family are nowhere near. Which either leads me to believe you either allow me to do this on my own or-” She stopped herself for a moment, knowing how the next few words were going to sound to him. “Or you and your family abandon me. I’m sticking to the positive thoughts on this one. Cause after everything I’ve done for you and your daughter, I really hope it's not the latter.”

Klaus shook his head the moment the words left her lips. “We would never abandon you.” He placed his hands on her shoulders. “I would never abandon you.”

“Then trust me,” She said with a slight nod. “What I’ve seen, you just need to know that by the end of it all, I’ll be the one that comes out on top against these witches.”

“For as many times as these witches have gone up against me, they’ve always found a way to circle back. An annoyance that I’d rather have end rather quickly.” His words had caused Y/N to smirk.

“That’s because they haven’t dealt with a Hybrid such as myself.” She said as her smirk grew.

Klaus rolled his eyes at that. “Right. Though I’ve heard plenty of times that a hybrid such as myself has been a superior species.”

Y/N shook her head. “How about we make a bet about this?”

Klaus’s eyebrow raised. “About what?”

“Who the superior hybrid really is.” She said with a shrug of her shoulders that caused Klaus’s hands to fall to his side.

He eyed the woman before him wondering if he should take the challenge or not. “What are the terms?”

“If I go through the whole fight without needing any assistance in any way, and actually take down a coven of witches, it shows I can handle my own and therefore am Superior. If I can’t go without you or your family intervening to help, you can still gloat about being the superior species.”

It was tempting to accept it, at least until a thought crossed his mind. “How is that a fair bet if you’ve already seen visions of the future?”

Y/N huffed and shook her head. “Fine, you can take a look for yourself.” She offered as she crossed her arms.

“After all this talk you’ll show me anyways?” He asked with a raised brow.

She shrugged. “It will get you to trust me more. Just don’t go digging for things.” She didn’t like the idea of someone digging through her head. While she’d be open to showing him some of the visions she saw, she’d rather not have some one dive deep into the other parts of her mind.

“I promise,” He said with a nod. “Just the visions.”

Klaus brought his hand up to the side of face. His fingers brushed along her skin before he placed them against her head. Y/N watched him the whole time he had done so. He waited for her to agree once more before he’d dive into her head. With a nod of her head, she opened her mind to him.

She allowed him to see the visions she wanted him to see. The ones that didn’t include his daughter feeding her blood or little things that weren’t relevant to what he needed to see. But it was while he was watching that something changed within Y/N.

A gasp left her lips as she stood in her spot. Her mind playing out several visions that she hadn’t seen before. Klaus stood in the background as he watched Y/N take on the witches. There had been an impressed look on his face as he had. At least he did until something they both couldn’t see in the vision happen that caused his face to fill with worry.

Another vision passed through her mind and Y/N tried to take a step back away from Klaus as it began to play. While she had seen pieces of this vision before, she didn’t need Klaus to see what was about to happen. But just as Y/N couldn’t get herself to close her mind, Klaus couldn’t get himself to take a step back. The vision played through her mind before Y/N finally found herself and pulled away from Klaus.

Her heart had picked up from the moment the vision played. But now as she was free from Klaus being in her head, her heart was beating faster for a different reason. “You weren’t supposed to see that.” She bit down on her lip and took a step back.

Klaus shook his head as he tried to gather his thoughts. His mouth open to say something before it closed quickly. He could only look at Y/N in surprise. “You knew this was going to happen.”

Y/N looked down at the ground. “I didn’t know it was going to happen like that.” She admitted.

“This whole time, you’ve carried this on your shoulders.” His voice was barely above a whisper.

“Don’t do that. You’ve almost done the same. Don’t think for one second just because I’m some witch that it makes me any weaker to do this.” Y/N wanted to get it through his head that she would do anything necessary.

He took a step closer to her to close the space between them. Klaus Placed his forehead against hers. “You will not be alone when it happens.” He promised. There were so many other things he wanted to say to her after seeing the vision, but he couldn’t.

Y/N sighed as she tried to hold herself together. “There’s something else you should know.”

Before Y/N could say anything, the sound of large crash came through the compound causing them to look towards the doorway before running out to see what the comotion was.

A growl left Y/N’s lips the moment she stepped out the room. The magic that was mixed with her curse had warned her that danger was present. But Y/N knew better, this was what the witches wanted. For her to head down to the courtyard and be attacked without any warning.

As she looked over at Klaus, her amber eyes had come through. While the full moon wasn’t for several more days, the magic that coursed through her allowed for the wolf to come out as it wished. “Stay here.” She said before taking a step away from him.

Klaus grabbed her arm, and she turned to look back at him. “I give you my word, you won’t be alone.”

Klaus understood that this was happening tonight. There would be no way around it. Whatever visions he had saw moments before would play out in front of him tonight. While he wish it didn’t have to be the way he saw, Klaus understood.

Y/N looked him over before nodding. Klaus didn’t know all the details and that was what Y/N wanted. Things were about to change drastically, and she needed him prepared. “Keep Hope with you.”

Without another word she grabbed a hold of the railing in front of her and jumped over it. Landing in the courtyard on her feet, Another growl left her lips as the thickness of magic filled the air.

“Y/N, what is it?” Freya asked. Y/N looked up at Klaus and Freya’s eyes followed. Seeing her brother tilt his head to the side, understanding came over her. She moved back before making her way towards her brother.

Klaus had his hands on the railing just as he seen himself do in the vision. He waited as patiently as he could before he heard the beginning of chanting. A smirk pulled at Y/N’s as she watched the witches walked into the courtyard.

They circled Y/N, and she hadn’t moved or braced herself for what they were doing. Their chanting Y/N knew and understood. A barrier to keep her in as they brought in their secret weapon. She watched as some of their faces held confusion as to why Y/N hadn’t done anything in retaliation.

Y/N chuckled as she looked around. “You fear me because of my magic. I truly do understand that. But there is no reason to fear. If you stop this now, there are so many things I can show your coven so that it thrives.” She shrugged her shoulders. “If you don’t, then that means I need to protect myself, and as much as I hate to say it, very few of you will be left standing.”

That was when Y/N braced herself. After her words had been spoken and nothing changed, she made sure she’d be ready for whatever it was they threw out her. A witch stepped forward, one that she could only assume was the one that led this group.

“Give it your best shot.” Y/N said with a smirk growing on her lips.

With every spell the witch before her had thrown at her, it had been intensified. A coven of witches were being channeled to one witch and it made things harder for Y/N. But the magic she had flowing through her bones made it a little bit easier to take.

With a quick spell and a wave of her hand, Y/N had the witch before her on her knees. Her fist tightened, keeping her there. No matter what spells the other witches had done, there was nothing they could do to help the witch in need.

“This has been fun, but I think even your coven need to learn a lesson on what is power and what it could be used for.” Y/N had every intention to use the same spell she had with her own coven. Cleanse the coven of those that wanted power for themselves and teach them from the ground up.

But just as Y/N was about to do so, the witch in front of her smirked. “Your mother gave us some lovely insights. While she may not have magic, she gave us every way to stop you.”

Y/N crouched in front of her. “My mother’s way of magic was to control. Make her the strongest so that when anyone came seeking refuge, she’d take what she wanted and make them leave without so much as the help they asked for. The tools you think she gave you will only make her powerful again.”

The witch chuckled. “While I accept your warning, the only thing she gave me was a means to kill you. If memory serves me right, she said ‘I’d rather have my daughter dead than by the side of a Mikaelson.’ We all understood that. So now it’s time to fulfill your mother’s wish.”

The sickening crack that came from Y/N had made everyone flinch at the sound. Her bones had stated to break in a way that Y/N hadn’t felt it before. Even through the pain, she held her fist tight, while the other one waved, helping to put the bone back into it’s place.

“It won’t work.” Y/N said as clenched her teeth. “It will only serve to piss me off.” Without another word, Y/N walked over to the witch and snapped her neck. As her body fell, she knew this wasn’t the end of it. She knew there was one more thing she needed to deal with.

“Come out mother,” She said as she looked around at the other witches. “You should know that I already knew you’d be here. It seems they’ve given you back some magic.”

Out of the corner of her eye, Y/N watched her mother step into the circle. Her heart pounded in her chest. Her time was running out, but this would end up working in her favor.

“You sound just like him.” Her mother said as she stood in front of her. “Spend a few weeks with a monster, and they rub off on you. A witch with so much potential tainted by a creature.”

“Do it.” Y/N said coming to stand before her. “There is only one thing you want to happen right now. “I suggest you do it or get the hell out of here. I’ll even let you.”

As Klaus stood, watching the whole thing from above, he knew what was going to come next. He remembered the vision fairly easy. He watched as her mother lifted her hand, an orb just like Y/N had been using forming.

The smirk that pulled at Y/N’s lips left Klaus feeling proud. It was a challenge in itself and her mother had taken the bait so easily. A fight of magic began between the two. And for as many times as Klaus had watched Hope and Y/N practice, he’d never seen her as she was now.

She was fast in her attacks and made sure that her defences were stronger in comparison to her mother. But it was the last spell that her mother did, that made Y/N clench onto her heart.

Her breathing grew heavy as she realized what this meant. Her mother knew the whole time what she was doing. She knew she was no match for her daughter and there would be a time where that last spell would come in handy.

Y/N looked up at Klaus for a moment. As she did, she watched as Hope came to stand by her father, a look of worry on her face. Her eyes moved back to her mother and shook her head. “You’ll take us all down. But I’ll still be the one standing at the end of this.”

“I doubt that.” Her mother huffed a laughter. “Go ahead my darling, do what is needed to keep the balance in order. But there will be balance to come with your actions.”

“I know.” Y/N nodded her head. With one last spell, it hit her mother hard enough to send her flying through barrier made of witches and into the wall. And with one more wave of her hand, Y/N forced her mother’s heart out of her chest.

Her mother’s cries of pain had hurt her to hear, but she continued on. Her mother was a threat now and there wouldn’t be anything to stop her unless Y/N did. Tears filled her eyes as she watched her mother clutch at her chest. As Y/N pulled her hand back towards her body, the sound of her her skin tearing as the heart forced its way though filled the air. A moment later there was silence.

At that, Klaus made his way down, to Y/N. The witches around them muttering about how their secret weapon had failed them. Klaus placed his hands on Y/N’s face and she shook her head.

“I’m sorry.” Y/N said before her hand moved to her chest and look of pain formed on her face.

“There’s no reason to be sorry for.” But it was too late. Slowly witches around them had began dropping. The magic they channeled killing them. Klaus turned to watch as they did. A smirk grew on his lips as they had. At least it was until he turned back to Y/N.

The moment he had, she fell just as the others had. Klaus caught her before she could hit the ground. His head quickly shook as he heard her heart stop beating.

"No, no, no." He said as his eyes widened, trying to find a way to save her. He had even bit into his wrist hoping his blood would be able to help her. But with her heart no longer beating, it did nothing.

For as many times as people had come into his life, there were only a few handful of deaths that hurt him the most. While he hadn't known Y/N for long, this had hurt the most.

While normally he'd enact revenge on who was responsible, Y/N died doing that. And he couldn't bring himself to believe she was really gone.

The footsteps he heard come up behind him caused him to look up. He found Hope standing there with tears in her eyes. Klaus shook his head, not knowing what to say.

"Dad," Her voice was shakey as she spoke. "There's something you should know about Y/N."
