Well...I didn't like the ending of II2,I want to change it...I already have it!

This ending will focus on mephone4 and cobs;mephone4 especially everything he did and realizing his mistakes,it go like the beginning of II18 and that,while cobs gives us flashbacks of his past and why he is the way he is now(not to justify his actions,but rather to learn more about him,because I think he lacked potential...).

While 3gs made his last effort and saved the bots and the other meeple products from there,bot goes to meeple to find out what happened and sees 3gs with the meeple products,telling him to take care of them and protect them,because he can't take it anymore...and after saying that,he dies with the thought that he did something good;bot does what 3gs said and takes them to a safe place.

Cobs,fed up with Mephone4,try to kill him,but Mepad sacrifice himself to save him,as it happened.

Meanwhile,inside Mephone4,the contestants and the other characters try to escape from there,and they meet Mephone4s,who would help them escape from there;everyone managed to cross the finish line(even the recommended characters and the unvitational committee),but when knife almost cross the finish line,4s pushed him so he could cross the finish line,and 4s ended up being the one who was eliminated(I don't know if that's possible,probably not but I don't know).

Returning to Mephone4 and Cobs,they have an epic battle that would end with Mephone4 sacrificing himself and revive everyone,at the same time defeating Cobs(that sounds weird).

All the characterso go to mephone4 who,in his last breath,apologizes to them and wishes them to be happy without hurting others,and there...he dies...with those words,the characters realize all the bad things they did and apologize to each other,as well as to themselves and to mephone4 and mepad (even though they are already dead);bot arrives with the bots and meeple's products and sees everything that happened,becoming confused,so they explain to him more or less what happened.

The Shimmers come for their egg and leave them an ARC(yeah that thing,i think that is alternate recovery center or something like that),they regret the death of Mephone4 and "forgive" 3GS despite what he did to them(it will sound weird but the real culprit of that is Cobs,I don't know what I'm thinking hehe...).

In the end the characters have normal lives and are happy with each other,they commemorate mepad,mephone4 and mephone3GS as heroes,and Spoiled Lemon makes a concert where everyone sings,like it happened at the end of II18.

After the credits we will see a post credit scene where Mephone4 wakes up in a kind of heavenly yard where he reunied with 4s,3gs and mepad;mephone4 feels happy because he's not alone in the afterlife,and in the end,them go to the horizon to...I don't know,meet the other Mephones and "live" their afterlife?...

That last thing sounds very weird,but it's the first thing I thought of.

II S2 Ep 17 Spoilers

I'll be talking about what I got right from my previous theory post and some newer ones too.

Theory 1: The contestants aren't gone forever

This didn't happen. However I do think it will. I am one of the people who think there will be an act 3. Mostly because there are a lot of loose ends and plot points that they brought up (even just in this episode).

I am now more sure then ever that this is how their going to bring the contestants back. Or at least it will be an important part.

The fact that they continue to focus on soaps phone kinda proves that to me. Why bring so much attention to something meaningless.

Theory 2 (well not really a theory, more of a question): What about bow and dough?

Bow and dough are indeed created by Mephone. Which also means that Mephone can create soul-like-substitutes. Which is wild.

Theory 3: Mephone didn't know he created the contestants.

I was right with this one! Yippee! Kinda. While he didn't remember creating them, he did assign them personalities and quirks. What Cobs really did here was make Mephone put 2 and 2 together.

What I believe happened was after Mephone escaped he was like "Time to start a reality show! Wait... I need people for that" and his subconscious was like "haha, wait a minute, we already did that" and spawned in the contestants. Seeing as he had an interview with suitcase, a season 2 contestant, we can assume that the rest of season 2 and 3 contestants were all subconsciously spawned in, then held an interview with Mephone.

The picture below is just to highlight that even the season 3 contestants where characterized by Mephone.

Also I haven't seen enough people talk about how genuinely awful and disgusting what Cobs did here. It actually makes me kinda ill.

Theory 3: Mephone is part Prime Shimmer

I was also right with this one! I am on a roll! Mephone being a Shimmer just makes sense narrative wise.

Now, onto the theories/observations I have after this episode.

I don't think Mephone knew he could freeze everyone. Besides the fact that he didn't know he created them an therefore wouldn't think that was something that he was capable of, just look at him.

He has no idea what's happening around him. He's far more focused on the season 3 folder then his surroundings.

I also don't think Mephone created the island. He may have terraformed it but I don't believe he can straight up created an entire island.

And like I said earlier, I really don't think that this is the end.

Reason 1: the loose ends/plot points

It feels weird to me if they brought up important information just for it not to be used. Like Bow's tail story/coming back from the dead, Soap's phone, and the Prime Shimmers. Not to mention all the people who would still be there, like Mepad, Bow, Dough, Bot, Baxter, and the Prime Shimmers (and maybe toilet too? But that is a huge maybe in my books). Or even The Unvitational Committee. What do they feel about everything that's happened. What are they gonna do now everyone's gone.

Reason 2: common act structures.

While this is admittedly one of the weaker points, as they're allowed to do whatever they want, I think it's important to bring up. "Act" is a very specific word choice, and most stories follow a three act structure.

Reason 3: The themes.

II has a really prominent theme through the entire show, you don't have to be what others think of you. It can be seen within most character arcs. This episode is kinda the antithesis to that theme. Even the title "Through No Choice of Your Own" highlights that.

Reason 5: Brian said that there will be 2 special guest voice actors and we haven't gotten that yet.

Reason 6: He also specifically said "multi-part." People don't tend to say multi-part for 2 episodes, optioning to say two-parter instead.

Reason 7: Adam deleted his account shortly after he made(?) it. He also died from Mephone X. However this could just be nothing more then a fun way to leave and I'm looking to far into things. I thought it was important to bring up anyway.

Reason 8: General vibes.

While II has had lots of sad moments before, they usually have some kind of happy/bittersweet/hopeful ending. This is just depressing, with little to no upside.

Look man. I'm gonna be honest. This is mostly me sipping copium. I genuinely can't fathom there being no act 3. Like, that's not even an option. This ending is so genuinely horrible (emotionally) it's unreal. I might make another post just about how awful this all is for Mephone specifically. Like, it's the worst possible outcome from him. Anyways, post is ending here. I had some more ideas but I forgot them.

Thinking about the foreshadowing of the twist rn (some of these may be reaches but I just wanna talk about them)

In Taco's tirade I feel like the lines about defective outcast and history + reality being rearranged could be taken as evidence for Taco being the intended winner but Bow messing that up for reasons that you've already mentioned but a contestant that Mephone never wanted in the show messed up his orginal ending.

Characters having so much trouble breaking away from their stereotypes, they can do it but it's a struggle because it's what they were made to be, Soap feeling the need to constantly clean, Fan being unable to describe who he is when separated from the show, ect.

The season 3 contestants asking what they're fans of, my idea here is they were created knowing they were fans of something but not what that thing is.

Bot not knowing who Springy is since they were one of the few not made by Mephone they don't know who someone he made up is.

This is more of a reach but I did say that in the start, the way the contestants just kind of stand there when Cobs says he doesn't talk to his parents anymore, it's just a joke but it also feels like they don't have anything to say because no-one can actually relate in any way, they know of the concept of parents but don't have experiences of their own the best they can do is try to remember which, going off of Cabby's experience, doesn't really go that well.

I'm not sure on this one but I saw a theory that Springy glitches so much because he was more rushed than others and was just based off the generic theme of those types of mascots or a copy of an actual mascot Mephone could've seen on TV while still living with Cobs, he could've also been made to remind him of before all of this where (despite still being in Meeple with the person he spend so much time hiding from) he could just sit down and watch the reality shows that gave him comfort.

Also seeing that Mephone prefers Bot over the others because they're a person without the predetermined code everyone else has (not sure about this one either but might as well put it here).

Mephone wanting the show to go on for so long because it's the way he can do something away from Cobs (not really but you know, he sees it that way) and the contestants possibly being okay with doing it over and over, The Unvitational Committee didn't want to stop the game itself, they wanted to stop Mephone being the host.

In one of the interviews Test Tube doesn't really go into detail about her origins (and saying she has trouble recalling) namely because they don't exist in the first place.

In Paintbrush's interviews they say their bristles have 'just always done that' in an answer to why they catch on fire when they're mad.

Despite saying he had a good upbringing Silver Spoon is very vague about it in his interview.

Tissues doesn't remember when or how he ended up so sick, just that it's been like that for as long as he can remember.

Okay this might be a bit much and it goes off theme of most asks a bit, I just wanted to make sure you don't mind at the end? Like if it's too long or off the focus of this blog (since it's mainly Taco but it does have others) if it's too long or anything I'm sorry though

Hello there!!!^^ Welcome, and thank you for your submission!!! :] These are all interesting foreshadowing tidbits to think about!!

It's true!!!!! I really really like how they lyrics can be interpreted like that!!! That's how I like to see them :) With Taco as the first one to break away from her role, even if it wasn't really her prerogative, it makes sense and is very satisfying for her to the one who sings about reality changing and being defective, even if the latter is also following her own personal feelings of self-loathing!!!^^

Yup!! Breaking out of their programming is a real challenge for all of them!!! Some are further than others, but regardless I sense a lot of self-discovery in the future of ii!!!! So exciting!!!!! X]

That's honestly low-key hilarious to me. Mephone made them to be fans but just. Forgot to make them fans of II specifically. I like to think all the season 3 newbies have something they're big fans of because of this programming, but it's something they get to choose for themselves.

Yeah!!! Bot did not get the Springy update from the Melife Neural Network. I really really really hope they explore the Melife Neural Network more in whatever is coming up for the show because IT'S SO COOL!!!!! XD

That's pretty neat!!! It's an awkward moment, yeah, but none of them know how to respond because they don't have any parents of their own!!! Augh that's so neat to think about now!!

I believe that in a stream it was stated that Springy glitches like he does because Mephone's memory of the commercials and the time in which he watched them is older and more faded!!! But that's an interesting way to look at it too!!

Yup!!! In a time in which all of the contestants that he made are eager and content to leave the show, there's one contestant he didn't make, who is playing of their own will, and even likes him too!!

Mephone has only had 2 periods in his life, his time with Cobs and his time doing the show, yeah? It makes sense that he'd be so scared for the show to end, his only experience of life without it is living with his abusive father, who he knows is still around. The show is his safe place, an escape where he wants to stay forever. Even through the Unvitationals, manifestations of his own guilt, he doesn't want his show to end. He thinks he needs it.

As for the last few with the contestants not specifying their pasts or saying they don't remember when things started- that was such great foreshadowing actually!!! Because pre-twist you could easily look at it as the crew wanting to let people have their own interpretations and backstories for the characters, keeping things contained to the game, just like the contestants themselves were at the time. But it was actually clever foreshadowing!!! How fun!!!!

Don't worry about it at all!!!!^^ This was a pleasure to read :). I will take any and all asks other than sexually explicit ones!!!! I don't mind at all!!!! The blog theme really is II in general, I just have a favorite character who gets to be all over it, yeah? I'll take asks about anyone!!!! I simply can't promise I'll be able to go quite as in-depth on their character. I am also hyperfixated on ii so no need to worry!!!! :)
