Life is not something you get; it’s something you experience. Life exists with or without you. It has been going on for billions of years. You simply get the honor of seeing a tiny slice of it. If you’re busy trying to get something, you will miss the slice you’re actually experiencing. Every one of life’s experiences is different, and every experience is worth having. Life is not something to waste. It’s truly precious. That’s why death is such a great teacher. It is death that makes life precious.

So Fine at 39
Today is my last day at 39 and I'm feeling fine. I have to say thank you to all my loved ones for making my 30's the best times of growth in life. Honestly the life I dreamed of and imagined, is the life I have lived. It's such a blessing and I'm truly excited for my 40's. Yes not everything has been perfect but it's been perfection of my self growth. I never imagined living this decade without my big sister. I still some days believe she is here in spirit.
Also the separation that happened with my partner was also giving, it challenged me to imagine life on my own. These days online many women and men are starting to decide not to engage in marriage or long term relationships. I am happy with my choice to raise our daughter together and if that ever changes I know I will be fine alone.
Our family vacation was so beautiful and super relaxing. It is our home away from home and so healing. Now that we are home, we realize how life will always test us and we have to stay dedicated to our goals. Olivia is thriving at school and I have started considering going back to higher education. Losing our Abuelita this year was also very spiritual and reminds us of the importance of legacy.
So tomorrow I begin the next chapter of life in my 40's. I am super excited and open to the abundance that will come my way. Love and life will always bring me what is needed to continue growing and glowing. Sister I miss you, I know you are with me in spirit because I feel so brave. Both Olivia and I remember how much you gave us while you stayed at our house the last days of your life. We are honored to continue your legacy and remember you with the greatest love of all. Until we meet again one day!

stealing freedom for your soul
the prerequisite to true freedom is to decide that you do not want to suffer anymore. you must decide that you want to enjoy your life and that there is no reason for stress, inner pain, or fear. every day we bear a burden we should not be bearing. we fear we are not good enough or that we will fail. we experience insecurity, anxiety and self-consciousness. we fear that people will turn on us, take advantage of us, or stop loving us. all of these things burden us tremendously. as we try to have open and loving relationships, and as we try to succeed and express ourselves, there is an inner weight that we carry. this weight is the fear of experiencing pain, anguish or sorrow. every day we are either feeling it, or we are protecting ourselves from feeling it. it is such a core influence we don't even realize how prevalent it is.
when buddha said that all of life is suffering, this is what he was referring to. people do not understand how much they are suffering because they have never experienced what it is like to not suffer.

I understand why people do drugs. I also understand that they will never ever take you, where truth will take you.

BOOK recommendations - from an AQUARIUS:
You can actually help the collective, just by focusing on your own personal growth, but you should already know that.

We as individuals always have a choice.
Whether it’s on a conscious or sub-conscious level, we fundamentally choose to make that choice or decision.
Did you know when you are angry or frustrated you are choosing said emotions. You are choosing to allow someone’s actions or words affect your energy. If someone gave you an ultimatum about whether you wished to be happy or angry for the remainder of your life, what would be your choice? Happiness. Then why allow someone else’s decision to be selfish, or inconsiderate, or completely ignorant affect you?
There is a beautifully written book titled The Untethered Soul by Michael A. Singer, who speaks about how we allow things to affect us. And how we count how many things have gone wrong throughout our day and hold on to them like tokens. Why do we hold on to them? To then brag to those who will listen of who had a ‘worse’ day? To use as an excuse for our foul mood or things we say/do to another?
We are choosing to hold on to those insignificant, trivial things and they are only harming us.
The one exquisite example I distinctly remember from this book is, when you’re driving and you pass a tree on your way, do you get angry at the tree for being there in your sight? You look at the tree, you notice the tree, your brain processes the tree and then the thought is gone. It’s as if the thought is water and your mind is the creek, the water flows gently, caressing rocks on its way, you notice it but it continues on melting and swaying along.
Why can’t we do that when someone is going 90 in the fast lane? When someone cuts us off? Or you hit every red light on the way to work? Those are all very small and insignificant in the grand scheme of things, but we allow these moments to irritate us to our core, to look for these moments to compound to give ourselves permission to have a piss poor attitude.
I don’t want to choose to be angry anymore, I’m making a conscious decision in reflection of your decision. I will be happy when I look back, will you?

Here’s a photo of my breakfast the other morning, something sweet after such a salty post. Berry topping from The Bite Me Balance COOKBOOK, it was delicious and decadent and for a much needed pick me up - I’d add whip cream!

of the 50,000+ thoughts we have in a day, how many are you immediately identifying with and automatically responding to? pretty much all of them, right? notice how you can think yourself in and out of bad moods by the minute; the mind is always looking for a place to "rest", to hitch onto so it can stop endlessly debating itself. how often do your thoughts drift away from the present moment, rehashing past problems or creating future ones that haven't come to pass? how many actual, real, pressing problems do you have in this moment that need to be solved this instant?
do you realize you are not your thoughts? even if you were to think "i am not my thoughts." in your head right now, that's not you. so what are you? you are the one hearing the thoughts. you are pure awareness having a human experience, nothing more or less. the thoughts and their resultant moods are happening to you.
for those of you who struggle with rumination/dissociation, i encourage you to simply start becoming aware of your thoughts. whenever you are drifting away on a stream of thinking, try to catch yourself and repeat an "awareness" catchphrase to let yourself know you're focusing your awareness in that moment.
"yaddayaddawhatshouldicookfordinnertonighticantbelievehesaidthattomeearlierwhatadick---hello, i am currently aware of my thoughts" that's it, that's all you have to do. let the stream of thoughts come on again if they do, don't resist them, but just become aware of it and use your awareness catchphrase again. the goal is not to stop having thoughts, just to be aware of them whenever you can.
try to do this as often as you can, and notice the effect is has on your ability to remain present and by extension, your mood.

“One of these great saints, Ramana Maharshi, used to ask, “Who am I?” We see now that this is a very deep question. Ask it ceaselessly, constantly. Ask it and you will notice that you are the answer. There is no intellectual answer — you are the answer. Be the answer, and everything will change.”

16 the spiritual path of non resistance
In other words, the experience of an event does not stop with our sensory observation of it.
It’s about not resisting energies as they pass through you. If you have difficulty doing this, don’t get down on yourself. Just keep working with it. It’s the work of a lifetime to become that open, that complete, and that whole.

MUSIC OF MY DREAMS...
It’s a pattern of soulA movement of drumsTranscending through feetNurtured with hipsAnd glorified by the sway of my hands It’s a whisper of warStomping through beats, heart beatsTraversing spaceGathering limbsAnd tormenting waists It’s a tinkling of melodiesHumbling heartsBreaking cursesBreeding peaceAnd birthing tales, tales of surrender It’s a whining of thoughtsTrembling with doubtUnhinged…

Ultimately, the word "beyond" captures the true meaning of spirituality. In its most basic sense, going beyond means going past where you are. It means not staying in your current state. When you constantly go beyond yourself, there are no more limitations. There are no more boundaries. Limitations and boundaries only exist at the places where you stop going beyond. If you never stop, then you go beyond boundaries, beyond limitations, beyond the sense of a restricted self.
Beyond is infinite in all directions...It would only cease to be infinite if you created an artificial boundary...Boundaries create the appearance of finiteness in infinite space. Things seem finite because your perception hits mental boundaries. In truth everything is infinite...There are no limits. There is just the infinite universe.
