… suddenly my piano lessons come in handy BECAUSE he would absolutely be in complete awe of you. Like he would definitely think its so cool and manly that you dedicate your time to learn music and obviously he would encourage you to do it even more.

Can he sing? Maybe. I think he’d be pretty decent at it, then would ask you to learn a song with him and then y’all can have a nice duet with him and jamming out for hours.

I remember being in middle school and going to my god-nephew’s Pre-K graduation and being so confused by the “class of 2019” balloons

This came about because I saw someone say “She completed one of the hardest things in life” under an 8th graduate’s post. No hat to the OP, she just made the post

What if I went back to university and did a degree in Russian and French though?

I could live at home* which would help my parents who have problems and are getting old, if I rented out my house that would cover the mortgage and probably a bit more and I could earn some money on the side doing Latin tutoring and hopefully getting some exam marking which would go towards the course fees.

IDK about the French though. I'm only really picking it because I already have an A Level in it and Russian I don't have any qualifications in so I probably shouldn't do two totally new languages. And I mean French is cool…

* back home with parents is very close to a very good university with a very good Modern Languages department.
