Bonham Carter has long said she would not have cosmetic surgery, and that fine-featured face now boasts the odd frown line. "I think the French have it right: you're allowed to be sexy and old [there]," she says. "Change isn't necessarily bad. There are some things about ageing I don't really care about, like wrinkles. The droop isn't great, though. But then you think, 'Am I betraying feminism by thinking that?'"

Generally she thinks we improve with age. "We're more interesting, wiser, more powerful, more ourselves. We're richer in character and we have more to give. Why should we be diminished just when we're getting going? And it's not just the acting profession - everywhere the attitude towards ageing is pathological. The messaging is we must avoid ageing at all costs."

She thinks the challenge is that we are unpicking centuries of societal conditioning. "There is a sense of indoctrination: thou shall not age, thou shall be valued only for what you look like; women are only worthy as long as they've got eggs. It's thousands of years of thought that we're undoing, but slowly."

Bonham Carter has said before that she thinks people are afraid of older women and I ask why. "I think it's because we have found our power."

Kenji Muto's Twitter Posts: Part 1

Before and while Tristamp was airing, Kenji Muto made some amazing Twitter posts giving us lore and production tidbits along the way. And while I don't speak Japanese (so I'm going to have to use Google Translate for this, so take everything you read here with a grain of salt because it may be skewed by mistranslation), there was some fantastic art and really cool concepts shared, and I want to archive anything Trigun-related. Shonen Nai is the character that took the most time to formulate his behavioral principles. The mysterious patterns that appear on the clothes are also designed by Koji Tajima. For some reason, most of the official concept art released is from the boyhood version. In the original manga, Nai plays an organ-like or piano-like instrument. Dubbing is also in progress. The sense of realism, the sound effects, the mixing, and the wonderful accompaniment music. I wanted to listen to it in the acoustic environment of a movie theater, but it was decided that an advance screening would be held. In Katsumata-san's words, I think it means "the feeling of groove is irresistible!" The power of sound is terrifying. #TRIGUN

I'm not good at repeating the same content over and over again, so I try to vary the themes and content from magazine to magazine as much as possible. A familiar silhouette. Although it was too heavy to use for motion capture, this imitation was very useful as a pose reference. I imagine it's probably heavier in reality when I direct it. The exterior is lost technology, and the interior is a synthetic weapon called a machine gun. "Punishment" means "punishment". #TRIGUN #トライガン

Sunday, October 2 2022. I had to work all day (9:45-1800) but my alarm was still on from my school internship, so I was awake from 6:30am. I logged into the online library app and read some FLOW magazine and a newspaper article while still in bed. Work was pretty okay too.

Days are so nicely long when you get up early. I also love that it's getting dark earlier this time of year because I get tired at an appropriate time to go to bed.

What We Know About Series 15

This post will be updated with more information.

It will be coming in 2025, preceded by a Christmas special in 2024.

CAST

Ncuti Gatwa as the Doctor.

Millie Gibson as Ruby Sunday. Russell T Davies described her as "crucial" to the season. Gibson stated at SDCC that the season would explore Ruby's life after leaving the Doctor.

Varada Sethu as Belinda Chandra. Belinda will join the Doctor and Ruby in the TARDIS. (Sethu's casting was leaked weeks prior to the April 12 announcement as she was seen at location filming.) The reveal of her character's name at SDCC has sparked speculation about connections to other Whoniverse characters, particularly Rani Chandra from The Sarah Jane Adventures. Sethu unexpectedly appeared as Anglican Marine Mundy Flynn in series 14 episode "Boom". Afterwards, RTD stated that there would be a connection of some sort between Mundy and Sethu's new character. Steven Moffat also said RTD had a plan for Sethu, and compared the plot to Clara Oswald – whose first season revolved around her having multiple doppelgangers in different time periods.

Nicola Coughlan will be appearing in the Christmas special as... Joy. I don't know whether her name or the title came first, but I'm honestly annoyed by the combination, although I like what I've seen of Coughlan's performance in the preview. Here's a video check-in from her.

Other cast members from "Joy to the World" include Peter Benedict as Basil, Julia Watson as Hilda, Niamh Marie Smith as Sylvia, Peter Baxter as Edmund Hillary, Samuel Sherpa-Moore as Tenzing Norgay, Steph de Walley as Anita, and Jonathan Aris as Melnak.

Anita Dobson as Mrs. Flood. Dobson promised the season would have some answers about her character, who ended series 14 on a decidedly mysterious note, teasing a "wild ride" towards the reveal of her identity. RTD also promised answers about her.

Jonah Hauer-King as a character who is "joining Ruby's journey".

Episode 2 is set to feature a guest actor who previously played a different character in the past.

EPISODES

Like Series 14, there will be 8 episodes and a preceding Christmas special. As of the publication of DWM 596, five scripts had been fully written.

RTD said that, besides himself, there will be four guest writers for the season.

The Christmas special is "Joy to the World", written by Steven Moffat – marking the first holiday special not to be written by the current showrunner. Interestingly, RTD previously said he was working on it in 2022, suggesting plans changed. RTD has described the special as the "maddest ever", with a story about what the Doctor is like when he's alone. A preview (below in the "Trailers" section) shows the Doctor visiting various points in the 20th century while trying to deliver someone a latte and a sandwich, only to, in 2024, barge in on Joy at the Sandringham hotel, who is herself using a hair dryer to threaten a Silurian who just walked in on her.

Millie Gibson said that episode 4, the first one she filmed, was her favourite episode of the season and a "challenge" to get right.

When Davies wrote his "Letter from the Showrunner" column for Doctor Who Magazine 591, the Script and Legal departments were investigating whether the show was allowed to use a certain title for episode 6. RTD has since described the episode as a "riot", inspired by crossing an as-yet-unspecified movie with another element.

One episode contains the words garden, firmament, and diploma.

Another episode contains the words radiation, moth, and skiffle.

An Entertainment Weekly set visit saw an episode involving "space stations, holograms, and the Doctor using his brain to thwart an interstellar foe". They also had exclusive looks at two of the Doctor's costumes for the season.

PRODUCTION

Formal preparations for series 15 began in late July 2023.

Filming began on October 23, 2023.

RTD, writing about the final days of filming for series 14, said "Yasmin Finney wrapped a few days ago, big hugs, see you soon", raising a possibility that her character Rose Noble will appear in the season as well.

Block 1 will be directed by Alex Pillai, and block 2 will be directed by Peter Hoar, who previously directed "A Good Man Goes to War". Amanda Brotchie and Makalla McPherson will also be directing episodes. McPherson teased a maze sequence appearing in one of her episodes, through which the Doctor is fleeing enemies.

In DWM 600, Davies gave a production update for the season: the Christmas special was almost picture-locked before FX. Episode 1 had just one more scene to shoot, episodes 2 and 3 were to start filming soon, episode 4 had finished shooting, episode 5 was on its fifth draft, episode 6 was on its ninth draft, episode 7 sat waiting, and episode 8 would be written soon.

In DWM 601, Davies mentioned that the sets for the UNIT Ops Room and the Sundays' flat were about to "spring back into life", and also mentioned sets for a hospital, a set "so real, we could rent it out as its actual self", and another described as an "absolute labyrinth".

On a further note, Davies has indicated that series 16 is already planned out, and that a fourth season is being planned as well, for which he joked that he might write a dialogueless episode.

Davies said in an interview that he expects the season to air at least partially in May.

In DWM 597, Davies mentioned that sets for a hotel, a hospital, and a "chamber" were being built.

Davies said that the season will not include an anniversary celebration for the new series, due to possible "anniversary overload" after the centenary special and the 60th.

He also stated that a scene filmed on March 8, 2024 would "live forever in the show's history".

In DWM 607, RTD teased ADR being recorded with a guest star in New York City, and drone filming in another city "thousands of miles" away from the UK, presumably for establishing shots.

This would not, however, line up with the March rumours, regardless of whether they did a one- or two-episode premiere.

June 18, 2023: Tae and Jungkook both are captured on film wearing the same shirt. It’s an ERL- White 'Kappa Sweetheart' T-Shirt. Tae wears the shirt during his personal time, when he attends Bruno Mars’ concert on June 18, 2023 with Wooga (it’s interesting he wore it on a day when he’d be publicly spotted wearing it, which indicates a statement and wanting to be linked to Jungkook wearing it). Jk wears the shirt while filming his “Seven” MV in Los Angeles, when he was shooting his train scene.

Remember, Jungkook had said if he wasn’t filming, he would’ve attended the concert.

It’s a genderless shirt, and it’s good to also remember that Jk’s lines in “Seven” are gender neutral. It’s also telling that Jk said, “The lyrics of Seven mean you want to be with the person you love all the time. Like the title of the song, from Monday to Sunday. The willingness to be with the love of my life every day is shown in this passionate serenade.” No, Jk didn’t write this song, but it’s still quite telling he explained the song by saying “love of MY life” - indicating there is a lover in his life - and once again he kept it gender neutral when he described the summer pop song. All of this is quite notable. And on a personal note, I find it so sweet that they find ways to stay connected, even when one of them is in another country.

I love that Jk is filmed wearing it next to a “wish you were here?” poster while the lyrics “You know night after night, I'll be lovin' you for seven days…” plays. Jk also wore Celine necklaces in the MV. I especially love that he wore the padlock Celine necklace with the Kappa sweetheart shirt he and Tae both own🥰As a couple people brilliantly said, and I agree (this is my opinion) it’s like he’s saying “the keeper of my heart/safely locked you in my heart.” It’s quite loud IMO.

This is speculative, but I still want to point out what others have noted. It seems like Tae was potentially hinting at Jk’s MV when he posted - as part of a series of photos he shared on his IG - the Molang Halloween candy keychain he was wearing after the Dream premier. It could be considered as a hint about the “Seven” MV because Jk (who’s emoji in the fandom is a bunny) pops out of a coffin in the MV, and the opening lyrics mention kissing a lover’s waist (in the photograph, the keychain dangles from Tae’s waist). I, personally, find this interesting, but please decide as you like.

Also something fun to note (and not necessarily Taekook related) is Jk’s funeral suit was created by Tailorable, a company that makes good quality, bespoke clothes.

Tailorable has a past with the group. This isn’t a comprehensive breakdown of all the times they’ve worn the brand, but this is a small summary. BTS wore Bespoke suits by Tailorable for their Butter performance at the AMAS 2021. They also wore their clothes for their cover on Time Magazine, and for their May 2022 visit to the White House.

While the group, and other members individually, have utilized Tailorable for official projects, what I want to point out is Tae is a frequent commissioner for Tailorable’s custom outfits, as seen in these photos below. This link may not mean anything as far as Taekook goes since BTS have utilized Tailorable in group, and individual, official activities, but I found it interesting enough to highlight that Tae clearly is a big fan and wears their clothes for other, varied occasions (his personal time in Vegas, with Wooga, for his Veautiful Days folio which was BTS’ personalized concepts, etc). You can decide relevancy, if any. I can understand why some see a link between Taekook because 1) the Kappa Sweetheart shirt and Celine jacket have clear, definite links and 2) Tae is personally a big fan of the brand (so it can be insinuated he suggested them for Jk’s MV), but to be honest, I’m not really sure if the Tailorable suit is relevant. It could be stylist choice, coincidence, personal preference or suggested to Jk. What I find important is the shirt and jacket. Still, I still wanted to preserve the information (for some reason my gut is telling me to), disclaim it and you can decide.

The man who allegedly planned to kill US presidential candidate Donald Trump spent “most of” the past three years in Ukraine, trying to recruit foreign fighters for Kiev, Time magazine has reported, citing his private messages.

Ryan Wesley Routh, 58, was arrested on Sunday after the US Secret Service spotted him at Trump International Golf Club in West Palm Beach, Florida. Police found an illegal rifle with a scope at his improvised ambush spot.

Dozens of social media posts, a self-published pamphlet, and multiple interviews with Western media outlets while he was in Kiev testified to Routh’s activism on behalf of Ukraine. Time has since obtained his private messages from two of his contacts in Kiev, who were not identified.

“I have 40 or 50 men sitting around waiting for a logical place to fight,” Routh reportedly texted in early July 2022. “Done digging trenches for the Ukrainians,” he added.

After a man who appears to be obsessive about the war in Ukraine was arrested for allegedly attempting to assassinate Donald Trump on Sunday, rumors and conspiracy theories have spread online attempting to tie Democrats to the two assassination attempts on the former president this election. Ryan Wesley Routh, the suspect charged with gun-related crimes on Monday, previously conducted media interviews about his efforts to recruit volunteer fighters, particularly from Afghanistan, to help Ukraine in its war against Russia. Routh also apparently self-published an e-book on Ukraine in which he said that Iran was “free to assassinate Trump as well as me”, according to media reports. As details of his passion for Ukraine have emerged, some on the far right have claimed Routh may have ties within the US military, with some going even further to say the arrested suspect could have been part of a larger plot. There is no evidence to suggest either – and none of those spreading the rumors have put forth any proof.

“What are the odds that this shooter, who spent months fighting in Ukraine, has zero links to anyone in US military or intelligence circles?” Charlie Kirk, founder of Turning Point USA, wrote on X. “Find them.” Questions surrounding how Routh knew Trump would be golfing that day, given that the round wasn’t on a public schedule, led some to suggest that those tasked with protecting the president could be in on the attempt. The former president praised the Secret Service in the aftermath of the apparent thwarted shooting. Another conspiracy theory claimed Routh appeared in a video for the investment firm BlackRock. The video footage circulated along with the claim shows him at a protest in Ukraine, though the video is unaffiliated with the firm, the company said, adding that Routh “has never been an employee of BlackRock nor has he appeared in any BlackRock ads”.

The theory attempted to tie Routh to Thomas Crooks, the shooter in the first assassination attempt against Trump in July, who did appear in a BlackRock commercial when he was a student at Bethel Park high school in Pennsylvania. “That means BOTH featured in Global Wealth management firm’s Commercial,” an X account with nearly 600,000 followers posted alongside a video that included Routh. “THESE ARENT COINCIDIENCES [sic]. They love their symbolism.”

Routh spoke to the New York Times in 2023 and the Guardian in 2022 for stories about volunteers going to Ukraine to help fight. The New York Times reporter who spoke to him wrote on Sunday that “it was clear he was in way over his head” and had no way of pulling off his plans to recruit Afghan soldiers for the effort. His interviews in the Times and other media well before the shooting led to further speculation. “Now we see Ryan Routh, who tried to assassinate President Trump today at his West Palm Beach, FL golf club, was profiled by the New York Times @nytimes in 2023 and worked with the US foreign Legion in Ukraine, which has ties to the CIA,” the far-right conspiracy theorist and Trump ally Laura Loomer wrote on X. “The DEEP STATE runs Deep!” Loomer also pointed to the recent cover of Time magazine, which shows Trump on a golf cart stuck in a sand trap and says “In Trouble”, and said: “Coincidence? Or coordination?

The 2nd Trump assassination attempt has brought out the right-wing conspiracy theories, especially regarding the attempted shooter.
