Summary:

Spider Socorro gets shot instead of Neteyam. But he lives, part 1. @ele-sme from what we were talking about. Also sorry for any miss spelling or grammar.

Spider didn't remember jumping into the sea, one second he was at the bay escaping with Neteyam and Lo'ak when one of the avatars failed his gun towards them, Spider remembers the adrenaline kicking in at the moment when he saw Lyles egg-headed ass firing at his bro- friends his friends. Spider forgot everything in that split second, everything happened so quickly yet so slowly. Spider still feels how his heart tightened when Lyle shot at the with no mercy in his eyes. During the months Spider spent with them in the forest Spider thought that he managed to at least get to know him, the others and his clone dad but now he can see it was all a sick evil lie.

He'd never gotten to know the true them, they had lied to him, just like everyone else. A horrified expression appeared on his face, Spider's eyes widened his mouth shot open as he yelled at them to get out. Then... nothing. Nothing comes to his mind.

Spider was now all alone. Or so he thought.

His mind was very vague but every few minutes he'll catch something, like a glimpse of someone or hear voices- no. Crying. Yes crying. Slowly his mind focused on his surroundings, he was laying down on something hard. It was cold, very cold. Spider swore it felt like spikes. His breathing clenched while his senses came back for just a second. His eyes open a bit. His face instantly became distorted from it.

"SPIDER! Hold on oh shit shit-" he knows that voice, suddenly a massive hand, bigger than his face cradles his head. Spider hissed back in pain due to the action.

"Fuck! They used one of their big guns! NO' Oh fuck-"

More scenes came back at that moment. Someone else was there- no a few more people were there.

" Dad, please tell me he's gonna make it! Oh great Mother oh no". Kiri. That was kiri. Spider looked up at her, his vision clears up enough to see her eyes all teary and scrunched up, her mouth was trembling. Her hand was over his wound trying to stop the bleeding, while another one, Neteyam was there his hands were trembling. His face was nothing like he's ever seen before, his once brother was frantic just like kiri. He was numbing little "nos" to himself while fat tears fell from his eyes which were full of regret. Spider didn't manage to hear much of what he was saying but he did her one thing.

" oh please great mother, I'm sorry I'm sorry for being a bad brother just please don't take him".

"LET ME GO- MAMA LET ME GO!".

He didn't need to look up to see who was yelling he recognises that voice anywhere.

"Lo'ak please-"

"NO, THEY NEED TO PAY LET ME GO- I"

Spider couldn't focus on what he was saying next. His breathing suddenly became faster, more raspy. His eyes shot open, Kiri sprung into action her face leaning down while her hands tried to cover his wound. Neteyam jumped in as well. His hands stroked his left hand. He didn't realise it before but Jake was talking to him. Spider didn't notice him before, he didn't even notice he was right in Infront of him. It was his hand on his cheek, gently stroking it, whispering to him.

"Hay! Look at me! Okay?! Your gonna be alright ! Everything is fine, we're gonna call norm and he'll have you all better in no time and..".

Spider knew he was lying. He watched as Jake struggled to say anything. Jake looked away for a moment, guilt covering his face. Spider felt his breathing tighten at that moment, his eyes were beginning to close them. Spider squeezed Neteyams hands and he squeezed them back.

" I want to go home" was all he could say. Jake looked back at him. His eyes were teary.

"yeah, yeah of course kid. We'll take you home."

Spider didn't remember what happened next when his vision became blurred, his head was spinning, everyone around him became fuzzy, and his world began to turn black. Spider didn't want to go, he didn't want to leave, unfortunately, now he has no choice. As his world slowly crumbles into the dark endless void he looked up past Jakes alert eyes into the sky his ears vaguely picking up what they were saying.

“ Spider!-“

His eyes closed.

Title: Tricks and Treats

Characters: The Sully Family and whatever Omaticaya the kids pester

Summary: Lo'ak is determined to embrace and practice some earth culture after learning about Halloween. Kiri and Neteyam don't stop him.

As always, cute family fluff for the lovely @nattikay <3 it’s nothing too crazy, and let me know if I need to fix any lingual mistakes with the Na’vi!

Every Omaticaya child knew how to weave -- at least to an extent. Especially after the loss of Hometree, weaving gathered materials was a necessity in order to create safe shelter, rebuild storage supplies of their food, and more. Lo'ak, though far from proficient, still wove away at his little child's loom with a thoughtful, furrowed brow and wild ideas coming to life.

However, his current project was not one of survival, but for fun. Or, more specifically, for treats, and perhaps for some tricks.

"That loincloth looks off, dude." Neteyam teased, lightly tugging at Lo'ak's ear. His concentration broken, the boy huffed and fumbled only a little before returning to his project.

"It's not a loincloth -- it's a costume!"

"What costume?" Kiri asked, coming up now. She held onto a Toruk figurine that she had successfully wrestled from her elder brother not long before. "It is for a play? Mom said that Auntie Sylwanin and her used to do plays when they had that human school."

Lo'ak rolled his eyes. At least he was nearing the end of his creation, tying up the ends. "It's NOT for a play. It's for Halloween!"

Neteyam crouched down and stared at the loom and fabric. "Halloween? That's just an earth thing."

"Yeah, a fun Earth thing. You dress up as anything you want and then people give you free food."

Kiri smiled and clutched the Toruk to her chest. "Oh! I see now! You're dressing like a Thanator! That's why it has extra arms there!"

The Thanator costume was cut off with pride. Lo'ak then took it and had it wrapped around his back, the hood falling over his face, and a connected string allowing the false arms to move with his real ones. "You got it! You guys should make costumes too. Then we can go round for the trick and treat."

The childhood stories that their father, Jake, would occassionally share, began to return to them. Neteyam was less enthusiastic than their sister, however.

"I dunno. I mean, about the tricking part. Dad said he used to throw food at people's buildings on Halloween too. If we did that Mom would pluck our eyeballs out."

"Ehhhh..." Lo'ak began to concide, doing a so-so gesture with one hand. "Fine. More treats than tricks. And the tricks can be fun ones, not mean. So go make your costumes!"

"Okay!" Kiri and Neteyam chorused together. Their costume designs were last minute compared to Lo'ak's, so they utilized the forest resources around them. His older brother decided to mimic the yerik, with large fern leaves tied to his head with twine. He even pursed up his lips, bared his top front teeth, and hissed like one, much to Kiri's delight. For her part, she gathered up as many atokirina' as possible, much to Lo'ak's chagrin.

"I still say you shoulda been a teylu." He insisted, holding out a worn-out rug to wrap herself with. Kiri shook her head with a smile.

"No way! I'm gonna be a soul tree. That way we can use the lights like with the...the..jack of..."

"Jack of the Latern." Neteyam said with a serious nod. "I suppose the Great Mother won't mind if we use her light for staying safe..."

"Yeah yeah, lets go get the treats and tricks then!" Lo'ak said, leading the way. Eclipse would begin soon and he wanted a head start. "First stop, mamaey!"

They did indeed marched straight to Mo'at's medicinal abode. There, they found her tending to a small child and her father, as she had a concerning though non-threatening infection on her scab that had not quite healed yet. As such, Mo'at was distracted.

"Hi! Can we have a treat?"

"Eh? Hungry? Ah..." Mo'at dabbed some essence or other onto the wound, yalna bark they saw. "I suppose Neytiri is busier than I thought! I can spare some nector. In the jar over there."

The forest hive nector was stored in a rather large jar, though not too heavy for them to carry out entirely. No one stopped them from doing so, as they were not being supervised.

"This is great! We should get some fruit next if we can." Lo'ak said with a happy grunt. Kiri perked up, the atokirina' glowing slightly in response.

"I know! We can pick for some just outside the village."

"Nah, we gotta ask for it, remember?" Lo'ak said. "Let's go ask someone else."

And that was how it was for the rest of the afternoon and evening. Given that their parents -- the Olo'eyktan and tsakarem -- were frought with recent responsibilities to attend to, few of the Omaticaya turned the children away empty handed. Those that could not spare anything were given harmless "tricks": some of their things shuffled around, or perhaps turning a few tools upside down at an odd place. The three Sully children would giggle as they did so before lugging away their goods.

They went back to their family tent and assessed their goods, as the darkness grew and the forest bioluminesce rivaled Kiri's collection of woodsprites. They floated away as she told them good bye.

"Alright! We got a lot of treats!" Lo'ak said, proud of their accomplishment. "Now we dig in!"

"Dig in? Like, eat ALL of it?" Neteyam said, looking wary again. "I mean, this is a lot of food. It was heavy to carry too. We should just eat a little at a time every day."

"What are you, a baby?"

“A fat baby if we eat it all.” Kiri said with a wide smile. However, a stern voice from the front of their home made them freeze with shock.

“How about a fat baby who plans to lug all that crap back where it belongs?”

All three turned, sheepishly taking off their costume pieces as they did so, to face their father and clan leader. Behind him was their mother, grandmother, and a host of other unimpressed Omaticaya. Lo’ak, the only one to struggle with his more elaborate Thanator costume, grinned sheepishly.

“Ah…trick and treat?”

I don’t remember if this was marketing or something from like magazine that explained the new characters. But I distinctly remember something saying the Spider was the adopted human child of Jake and Neytiri. And I went into the movie expecting that to be the dynamic. But obviously that’s not what happened and I’m still a little annoyed by it.
