sam has a uncle who is nicknamed roswell (like the location in new mexico noted for its ufo sightings and i havent chosen his actual name yet) that he has only met one time. the reason for this is that raúl went no contact with his family (originally from from nevada) before going to college in california where he eventually meets sola. his parents were abusive and his siblings left first meaning he was the last to escape. he only had brief re contact with roswell and he decided once again he's not someone he likes even if they are brothers. the nickname roswell is something their father gave him to basically imply that he's strange, raúl isnt too enamored to know he's still using it. roswell also didn't react well to finding out raúl was queer (bi) so all the more reason to keep him away from his family and his son. when sam met him (unplanned) he didn't like him either

for all the grief he gives his siblings, belphie really does love all of them. he just has complicated feelings with all of them, particularly lucifer.

naturally hes closest with beel; the two share a profound bond bordering on the telepathic. they have their spats, but its not rare that if you look for one twin, youll find the other not too far.

belphie enjoys cursed horror films. being a big hex buff himself, the hexes and curses in certain movies are part of the experience.

he falls asleep in strange places seemingly at random. belphie spotting isnt unheard of through the devildom, even outside of RAD. he doesnt have a lot of control all the time about when his sin pulls him into sleep... hes usually aware of his surroundings regardless of being unconscious, and usually a brother isnt very far away. (sometimes they fight over whos got time to go pick him up, and lucifer has to assign someone to just go DO it. usually, though, beels fine with it and volunteers.)

even being the "weakest" of the brothers, belphegor is still one of the top most powerful beings in the entire devildom and is recognized as such. even among his brothers, hes something to be wary of when he gets out of control; he might not have the same punching power as some of his other brothers, but he makes up for it in being cheap and being crafty. his brothers' biggest relief is in knowing belphegor has nearly zero desire to do any ladder climbing amongst them- its too much work, and holding a higher position would be exhausting.

he knows a lot of spells, curses, and hexes and has a pretty strong influence on the regular human, particularly those with little or no magical experience or proficiency yet. being kind of sour, he tends to put an unconscious pressure on those humans and even lesser demons in close proximity so theyre more likely to leave him alone. when pressed further, this can warp perceptions of him and the surroundings for whoever hes projecting it onto.

the pressure, he controls. but sometimes theres other things he controls less; he can make those nearby feel a bit drowsy if they arent protected, too, when he has his own episodes. luckily, most devildom goers do tend to be protected, because effects like this are common from many sources in the devildom. never leave home without your charms and wards, kids!

belphegors demon form can be triggered at will, due to immense emotions, or rarely, from external, forcible triggers that prevent him from "hiding" as a human. his appearance is the same overall with each transformation, but his mental state may cause slight differences from transformation to transformation. for example, hes more likely to be soft and fluffy if hes popped his demon form for leisure or cuddles, while being more sharp and wirey if he feels upset or hostile.

belphegors grades are some of the best amongst his brothers, despite how frequently he falls asleep in class. a majority of points he ever gets docked are for attendance; he falls asleep and doesnt make it to his next class. he always makes it to school, conscious or not though. lucifer sees to that... usually. belphie also has a few of his papers published.

belphegor is the third shortest brother; from shortest to tallest its asmodeus/mammon (same height), belphie, satan, leviathan, lucifer, beelzebub. belphie is likely roughly 5'6". he slouches and lays down a lot though, as well as wears a lot of baggy clothes, so its commonly thought hes the shortest anyway... even from people who usually know better.

sleep and dream states slip dangerously close into the dead and supernatural. like, more than demons of other sin affinities. dont ask to elaborate its a mess, just know belphie more than tolerates his job at the mausoleum for reasons. helps him appreciate a good horror movie too.

BNHA AU Ideas : Fair Folk

TL;DR: 

Iida, Uraraka, Bakugo, Kirishima and Midoriya taken away by quirk traffickers, convinced they are a family of specialized quirk users. Turns out, the truth is a little bit more complicated than that: they're fairies. With Midoriya the only one able to get free is up to him to find help. Who better than the hero All Might, a man so famous among the giants that even the fae know of him?

The Folk are born with weak but variable magic, able to learn almost any class of spell but without any great talent in any area. Sometime between the ages of 4 and 15 (they age at the same rate as humans but live a touch longer) their magic specializes into an area they have a calling for. The strength of this specialization is varied, with some Folk being totally unable to use magic outside their niche and others with only a reduced aptitude for anything unrelated to their field. There has never been a case of one of the Folk not specialising.

Kirishima: Gem Creation and Rock Manipulation - gem creation is just an aspect as he can alter the way the molecular bonds in rocks are formed

Bakugo: Fire - with a particular aptitude for explosions

Iida: Wind – his control isn’t particularly powerful but hes very good at using currents of wind to propel himself to incredibly impressive speeds

Uraraka: Flight - very rare aptitude. Not only can she give wing��s their enchantments, she can make other things float. Very useful for moving heavy things.

Izuku: Nothing.

Culture (brief):

They hide from the ‘Giants’ - humans - and see them as dangerous and strange, particularly as they terraform massive areas, stripping them of their natural magic.

Settlements are found in forests, abandoned places and parks, hidden from sight with a mix of magic and clever design. Children shouldn’t leave the safety of the settlement without an adult at any time.

Wings are not actually something they are born with - instead, they are fashioned from other things and bound to their magic. If they run out - spend too long away from a source of magic + burn through their own ability to create it - they fall away and that member of the Folk can no longer fly, at least until they find more magic. It’s traditional to use leaves for a baby’s first set of wings. Wing makers are valued and rare with skillfully made sets of wings being traded from settlement to settlement in exchange for other goods. They can be made from anything really, and are mostly made from a mix of natural materials and things scavenged from Giants.

Our Folk:

Uraraka is a fledgling wing maker - too young to have an actual shop, she makes wings for her friends. She’s very good at what she does: most wings are form over function but she takes care to make sure they are just as practical as they are pretty. Iida’s are made of spider’s silk - light and strong, good for reaching high speeds. Kirishima’s have beetle wing cases to protect them from dislodged rocks. Bakugo’s are fire-resistant, Midoriya’s are balanced so they’ll be practical no matter his specialization.

Kirishima wants to help people! He uses his magic to build houses and walls and often visits other settlements to help with their protections.

Iida wants to be a guard like his older brother - guards protect the settlement from animals that might want to eat them, natural disasters and help hide them from Giants. As the five of them are currently the only children in the settlement, hes assigned himself big brother.

Bakugo has 0 idea what he wants to be, but he’s skilled in just about everything he tries so it’s not a big issue for him.

Midoriya wants to research giants and magic and try and discover all it’s forms. Folk can only specialize in types of magic they know about, so he wants to know everything that can be done to help other Folk struggling like himself. Despite the fact he doesn’t have a specialization yet, his magic isn’t half bad and the number of forms he knows is staggering. He mightn’t be particularly good at anything, but he can do everything. He’s also a big fan of heroes, even if his knowledge of them is limited to torn scraps of newspaper and thrown-away toys.

Inko passed away when Izuku was 10 (he’s now 13) and he’s lived with the Bakugos ever since. Izuku and Katsuki have a pretty brotherly relationship and give eachother shit all the time.

Plot:

kids get kidnapped by quirk traffickers who think they are just a little group of specialized quirk users. Izuku is the only one who can get free (courtesy of teleportation magic, letting him blink through the bars of their cage). Lost, hurt and so far from home, he has nowhere to go. All Might ends up saving him from a crow. Izuku - recognising the hero - asks for help. Thus begins the journey of them trying to find the quirk traffickers and All Might accidentally acquiring a tiny magic son.

The first thing All Might does when he finds Izuku (after like, saving him and making sure hes ok) is has a quick crisis bc holy shit hes so small and so sweet and fuck he’s so t i n y. Then he panic calls Nighteye, a man who he has not spoken a word to in 3 years.

dude just nighteye being like "all might why are you so focused on this one group" and all might, the worst liar to have ever existed, a miracle that he made this far, responds with "oh you know just reasons not like i have a tiny son-boy who is totally not some sort of fairy like creature hahahahahahahah" and nighteye just fucking stares at All Might while he tries to process this nonsense.

All Might can lie but no to people he knows lmao, one look at Nighteye and the man just crumbles. Izuku, who was literally just hiding in All Might’s backpack, pops out to say hi! Both Nighteye and Izuku have to take a moment because Izuku forgot just how tall Giants are and Nighteye is trying to process ‘four inch tall flying boy’. He has to sit down.

Izuku, the helpful soul he is, summons a nice, cool breeze for him because he looked pale, then Nighteye has another quiet freak out because this definitely isnt a quirk.

Nezu gets involved in the hunt for the quirk traffickers and quickly realises something is Up with All Might hunting down this random group so single-mindedly. He gets Aizawa to take a look into it. Aizawa runs into Izuku who, upon seeing a Giant he thinks is going to try to kidnap him again, throws dirt in his eyes and bolts. Aizawa is Displeased.

Yeah! All Might fills him in and he’s super embarrassed and ends up leaving a tiny ‘I’m sorry!’ note on his bedside table.

Ignoring all the stuff that happens in the middle, after the Fair Folk are saved and like, find their settlement and let everyone know they aren’t dead, the five of them actually join UA! 50% because their time with the quirk traffickers was scary and they want to save people from that, 50% because Izuku is so enthralled with Giants and their world he’d be heartbroken if they never got to return.

Under the cover of them being siblings with variations of the same quirk, they do all end up in 1A and become heroes in their own right. While they are getting caught up to speed on normal school stuff they missed, Izuku kinda ends up with 3 whole dads including Nighteye, same with the other kids to be honest. They like to hide in Aizawa’s scarf.

Some random things:

Izuku, the smallest of the bunch, is not quite 4 inches tall.

The group of them sneak out together to collect things - Izuku’s favourite thing is a tiny but detailed golden fox charm he found near a shrine.

Uraraka’s room is covered in half-finished wings and designs.

Bakugo secretly wishes his specialization wasn’t so destructive - he accidentally burnt a hole in Izuku’s second set of wings.

Iida secretly loves racing the birds nearby. Hes not meant to because they can be very dangerous, but by now they are used to him and look forward to when he shows up.

TON in a giant nutshell:

Apolo and Meg are coming back to NY to the final battle with Nero, but one of his minions (a Gaul named Lu) used to be Meg's legal guardian and trained her so they share a bond™ and Lu wants Meg to be safe so she betrays Nero. The three of them now are looking for shelter since Nero has eyes basically everywhere so they once again ask for the Jackson's help. We get two chapters to meet Estelle (giggly, cute and has salt and pepper hair despite being a baby and Sea green eyes that Percy got from Poseidon. Plothole? A Poly relationship? Who knows). Sally and Paul are kind as always and we learn that Percy graduated, and even If the school was really shitty for him he worked really hard. Now he is in a roadtrip to the west coast in the family Prius with annabeth and Grover.

Anyway, Lu, Apollo and Meg come up with a plan to fool Nero. Lu is captured and Apollo goes to chb with Meg because he needs Nico's help. Nico and Will are cute boyfriends and he seems more comfortable with himself and that relationship but Nico has ptsd from, you know, everything he went through and Mr D is helping him deal with It all.

Nero said that Apollo had two days for surrender before he burns the whole city so there isnt much time for preparation. Will, Nico, Apolo and Meg leave to find Rachel Dare because she can help them with their plan to stop Nero.

The plan is: Apolo and Meg surrender going through the front door. Meanwhile the other three, along with these strange frog-like creatures wearing hats that are REALLY good underground, find another passage to Nero's tower to disable the huge trap of greek fire he has stored. That goes a bit sideways but ultimately works.

Huge battle, another trap, Nero is a abusive peace of shit with Meg but in the end they manage to defeat him so now Apolo has to go alone to fight Python

He goes down to Python's lair and they fight. Apolo is about to lose, in a not-mortal-but-not-god state, but again he manage to defeat the snake, throwing it into Chaos. Apolo is in a bad shape but Artemis takes him to Olympus, his godhood now reatored. But it's bittersweet because he has seen how hard it is to be a mortal and he no longer feels part of the Olympians. He acknowleges how abusive Zeus is to everyone (including to Hera) and decides he is going to be better and break the cycle

Final credits: Rachel can see the future again and it is quite happy about it

Nico and Will receive a prophecy, and a voice (maybe Bob?) Is calling him for help from tartarus.

Jason is dead tho he appears in a dream and seems in peace with his fate

Piper has a girlfriend named Shel, she says she's figuring out who she is without Hera's or Aphrodite's pressure and seems to be doing well

Thalia and Reyna are best Hunter buddies, and they go to Jo and Emma's station for a visit. There, Leo is teaching mechanics to street kids and developing a sibling like relationship with Reyna and Calipso decided to try highschool.

Hazel and Frank are well respected praetors and seem comfotable with their positions

Percy and Annabeth are going to college in New Rome. Percy didn't decide his major yet but he seems happy and Annabeth is going to take a double run (I think it's called that) in UC Berkeley. Their dorms are still empty and they are going to have a lot of time there together (👁️👄👁️) before their classes start

And Meg gathered her adopted siblings and went to her old house in Palm Springs, where she lives with Lu and a lot of dryads and Nature spirits

And Apolo says he is going to remember and be there for the demigods whenever they need.

PIPER HAS A GF. I AM HAPPY. that is all. this is my main takeaway and quite possibly one of the few things that i care about from this book. wish it had been reyna but you know what piper has two hands okay

my soul can rest now and i can focus on writing either too fluffy or too angsty percabeth to my hearts content

Hi it's me I'm new but can you do one we're asta joins the Dark triad and how whould they treat him I know it's stupid but I couldn't think of any thing else

Hey there love. Thank you for all your kind messages, they really made me happym so I wanted to return your kindness by getting my butt out of this slump!! And sorry for the wait, I was on an excavation, but now I have Internet again and I had a long time to think about this.

So, this could be a relly great Idea for a kickass AU work. Like, what if Asta met the dark triad early on in the story, lets say even before the magic knights entrance exam. Canonically he met Fanzel around that time, too, so we’re even going to place this happening before all that. 

It starts with the big What If the Spade people had their Informationnetwork better under control and had way better spies than they appear to have right now (cause yall, how coukd they have missed Asta. He was in the Newspaper for gods sake. How bad a spy do you have to be to miss that? And for a warmongering nation, they really are way too uninformed about strenghts and their enemies. Little pet peeve of mine.) 

BUT! Now, they hear of this kid who got a great and strong grimoire in a place where that doesnt happen. First they hear all about Yuno and are like, yeah, okay, new blimp on the radar, we gotta calculate this new potentially powerful enemy in, and then they get the news of Asta and how he came to have a weird and shady 5 leaf clover grimoire. And now at least Dantes interest is piqued. 

So, they decide to check it out, cause who might that be? Which Demon has found a new host? And how did it happen without them hearing about a big catastrophic event in Clover, which is usually Zagreds, the word demons, preferred method of getting what he wants, 

Things are so interesting that the Zogratis siblings go on a road trip together, to find out more and maybe cause some menace on the way, in case they get bored. Its gonna be prime family bonding time!

They meet Asta under the skull, where he always trains, and they see him basically just lugging this big sword around but...not using either magic or the devils power. Something is weird here. Vanica also comments that the kid is kinda hunky with some nice features, but kinda veery very tiny, and she loses a bit of interest already. Zenon appreciates a dude who knows his workout, but the no magic factor makes him think of Asta as kinda weak, way too weak to be a Devil host, and he tells  Dante that it might be a fluke, that their information was wrong, and that they should just go and find the responsible spy and torture him, for having them come out all this way just to see a kid play at being a knight and yell a lot. 

Dante still has an uneasy feeling, that it might be a little more than just that, but he also has to agree that Asta has not shown any sign of devil powers, so he cant even ask lucifero which Demon slipped past their Network and got stranded in Clover, and this part of clover of all places too. Really, no self respecting lord of hell would do this to themselves, not even Zagred who maybe got a little desperate over the millenia.

Just as they are about to turn and leave, a voice comes up to them, asking them what they are doing. and yes, it comes up to them, cause they are in their usual and very very stealthy and absolutely not suspicious manner flying half a kilometre over the ground, maybe a little to the left, so they are guarded by the shades of the columns, and bickering with each other about first going to torture the spies, or getting something to eat before that. Just ye normal roadtrip talks.

Anyways, Asta heard them or sensed them (my boys instincts are crazy, like damn), and his gut feeling tells him something is off wht the weirdly fancy dressed floating strangers with seemingly cold eyes and spade-symbols and regalia all on them. He might not be the smartest noodle in the pot, but even he knows when he sees people in a place they dont belong.

Yeah, so, from here on out things can go a great many ways, Zenon would probably suggest they get rid of him and also that would make at least for a little amusement for now. Vanica would probably agree, cause at least they would be doing ANYTHing but staying there and doing nothing but watch a little boy. Or they could get some snacks, shes kinda hungry, for the 300th time today. 

Dante tho, he still wants his questions answered. So why not ask? He floats down towards Asta, and is all like, Hello there young man, that is a fine sword youre having there, pray tell where did you get that?

And Asta is like, wow, someone likes my sword? And this little angel boy just happily wants to help people, especially those 3 nobles who seem like they got hella damn lost (and not like they are a nightmare for many captains and Julius, I mean, can you imagine all the work thats gonna have to happen, when they find out that the dark triad can just enter Clover all willy nilly?? Oh, Marx is gonna haunt them with papers for months! And Augustus voice is gonna shriek through all the castle in that unbeliievable high octave about how useless they all are, and yeah, things just aint gonna be great, but Asta doesnt know, this blessed summer child is not the brightest light at times)

Cause sister lily and father Orsi raised him right he shows Dante all about his sword and his grimoire, and Dante sees it and probably goes like !!!. And then he knows that Asta really is a demons host, but he doesnt seem to have realized it himself. How strange. He tries to ask Asta a few questions, but the kiddo just really doesnt know a thing and after a while of talking around the topic, he tries the more direct route

“Say Boy, have you ever heard a Voice inside your head? Telling you things about your magic and what to do?”

“Yeah, Yuno says thats called thinking and that people should do that more often.”

“...right. But was there one besides the regular Voice you hear when you think?”

“No? Was there supposed to be one before I got the grimoire?”

“...Nevermind”

Asta also couldnt remember ever seeing a weird figure, well not specifically because “not before you guys showed up. I think the weirdest figure is probably Yuno, way too damn handsome that jerk!”

Or sensing another Magic mingle with his, “What do you mean this isnt my magic?”

Finally, Dante asks Asta if he ever heard about the Devil, and “Yeah of course, I was raised in a church, and Sister Lily tells us all the best good night stories! Im gonna mary one day and then we tell each other all those every night!!” And then Asta got stuck thinking about his sister Lily,and Dante had to realize that its no use. 

He could now either kidnap Asta and train him under the dark triad, or he could leave him be and keep his tabs on the strange kid with big dreams. Yeah, well, kidnapping Asta is, if the conversation with him was any clue, not gonna be an easy and quiet thing, and its gonna be a political mess, a headache to boot too. Also Zenon and Vanica are probably going to try kill Asta if he gets too much for them anyways, so i would be useless. He sighed, and shook his head, and shot Asta a fake smile

“Thank you for answering all my questions, boy, have a nice training session for whatever it is youre trying o achieve here.”

“Oh, Im training to become a Magic knight in a few months!”

“Ah”

“Im gonna become the Wizard king! (✧ ∇ ✧)”

“...Well, good luck with that, Im going home now”

“Thank you, also your friends left like 20 minutes ago”

Cue unhappy Dante. But at least they learned something...I think? And they went and cleaned up that Information pipe line real quick and then got something to eat.

Yeah so, I tried. Im still not back to peak form, but this was fun! Poor Dante was probably hella frustrated afterwards, but Asta really jsut doesnt know xD and later on, Asta is constantly wih people who are pretty sure to recognize the Spade royalty. I mean, they dont make it particulary hard. And Asta has his goal set, and he takes the most direct route to get there.

im pretty sure, as things are now, Zenon and Vanica are going to be way more interested too, but I really need to know a lot more about Vanica.

Alive and Dead

BACKSTORY:

Josephine met Daryl back in Atlanta when she was hot-wiring a truck on the freeway in Atlanta. She didn't realize the truck belonged to one Merle Dixon until a gun was pointed to the back of her head.

She had been visiting from out of state to see her brother, who had recently been in a coma when the whole world went to shit.

She had always been the black sheep of her family. She never wanted to be in law enforcement like Rick and her father, and she had her own plans which turns out wasn't much and only seemed to have gotten her in trouble.

After meeting, and almost getting shot in the skull, her and the Dixon brothers trucked along together for a while until they met the group at the Quarry, where Josephine had been reunited with her Brother’s wife and her nephew.

The years went on and Josephine grew a strong connection with Daryl. She held him after he killed his brother, she was strong and always ready to team up with him for a fight or a hunt. She wasn't really scared of much, except loosing her family- which she was constantly trying to protect, and that family included Daryl.

Their closeness continued, and her bond with Daryl blossomed the most at their home at the prison. Neither of them said much about their budding relationship, but it was there. It takes a lot for Daryl to open up to the idea of romantic relationships, and for Josephine too. Daryl only felt comfortable letting his guard down with you, and it was something he’d never felt before.

After Negan had taken Daryl to the sanctuary he realized he needed Josephine. Life was too short in this new world, and he wanted to marry her.

When he returned to Hilltop to reunite with his group, Josephine and Daryl exchanged an moment together that bound them for eternity.

When Rick had asked Daryl and Josephine to lead the sanctuary it had been hard on the both of them. Daryl grew colder as the months dragged on. Josephine tried her hardest to grow crops but nothing worked in the old factory. It didn't help that Rick and Daryl were at odds with each other. Josephine had never been the perfect sister, but after the world ended and Josephine and Rick’s sibling bond became very strong, it was hard to not side with him on mostly everything- even if her husband hadn't agreed.

Years dragged on after Rick’s death. Daryl would show up at Josephine’s home in Alexandria, slipping into bed next to her some nights and their conversations were always surface level. Their spark was slowly disappearing, until she hardly ever went out looking for him. They had argument after argument about how Daryl needed to stop looking for Rick, or his remains,  but after a few years she knew it wasn't just about Rick anymore it was about Daryl and how hard it was loosing people you had become so close with.

By the 6th year, Michonne had started running a tight ship around their small community. Michonne was certainly the leader, always more outspoken and respected than Josephine. She had natural leadership qualities that Josephine just never possessed. Jo took to dealing with crops and hunting, and after a long debate was soon in charge of making sure Negan played his fair share in building their community. He was a far cry from the guy with a green thumb, but Josephine didn't let him slack off when it came to hard work in the gardens.

The 6th year was strange for Josephine, mostly because some of the people and Alexandria were noticing that she had started ‘forgetting’ to wear the old antique ring Daryl had given her as a wedding ring. He always found it so hard to be romantic, it just wasn't in his nature and he loved that Josephine didn't mind. She did however find the act of him giving her that ring to be one of the most romantic gestures she had ever recieved.

Over the years Josephine started gathering strong relationships with the other members of her community- especially Aaron, who was like another brother to her. She loved his daughter, and helped him as much as she could. At first when they had met Josephine was so skeptical of the man. Especially after being along in the woods for 3 months and raped but one of the members of a claimers group that ended up finding her and begging for blood when she had been reunited with Daryl. She lost a lot of herself when that had happened after the prison fell, but she gained a lot of it back once they had found Alexandria.

So much had happened in this new world, and finally after everything the different communities had to start working together. People had died in the hands of whisperers. Carol, Josephine’s closest friend had lost another child and she couldn't imagine what that must have been like after she had lost Sophia all those years ago.

Michonne, Daryl and Josephine headed to oceanside to practice some battling skills. It was sometimes awkward when Daryl was around Josephine because of the tension and distance the two had been experiencing for so many years. It hurt Josephine, but she knew the love they had for each other wouldn't ever just go away and they were slowly starting to rebuild that relationship they once had, especially because of Lydia.

Lydia had talked a lot with Daryl over past abuse, and she felt comfortable talking to Daryl about things, but it was different between Josephine and Lydia. Lydia adored Josephine, she was the mother she always dreamed of having. She was fun, and strong, and a great listener. When Daryl begged Josephine to let Lydia stay with them at their home she was hesitant at first, but as soon as the young girl made herself at home she treated her like family instantly. It was much easier having Lydia there when Daryl was away, because the void of loneliness didn't feel so large anymore. She felt she had a larger purpose taking in Lydia.

At Oceanside, they all gathered for training in battle. They had all been learning tricks to come together as one community to fight against walkers and whisperers if they had to. It had been a while since the boundaries had been set and there hadn't been problems when the heard moved out, but it was always good to stay alert .

As everyone finished they made it safely back to oceanside to rest and catch up before Carol’s boat was to arrive at the docks. Josephine sat in the sand as she watched her niece and nephew run around in the sand collecting shells.

It brought a small smile to her face to see the children actually behaving like children, not battle soldiers preparing for war. She felt a tug in her chest as she thought of Carl. He had grown up so fast and took the the new world with such ease. He was a fighter, and she missed him and his parents everyday. She wished Judith and little RJ could have grown up with Carl as their older sibling.

“When’s the last time you relaxed on a beach?” Came a gruff voice from behind her. Josephine didn't have to turn around to realize who was about to take a seat beside her. She stuck her feet further in the same and wrapped her arms around her knees and smiled lightly.

“When I was younger, my granddad used to take Rick and I to Black River to fish. I remember always hating the way the sand felt between my toes… but right now after not feeling it for so long, I cant say it’s that bad.”

She avoided his eyes as she continued to watch the children run around with buckets and laugh. Daryl placed one of his large hands on her shoulder, which she knew he wanted her to look at him.

“I’m going to try and make it home next week. I just need a little more time to get things settled here.” Daryl responded lightly, afraid of her response.

Josephine nodded slowly and let out a breath she hadn't realized she had been holding in. She finally looked over at him, and down at his hand resting on her shoulder and she realized his wooden ring she had made him was still on his finger. Older and worn from the years, but it was still there. She suddenly felt guilt inside of her when she realized she hadn't put hers on in weeks.

“It’s okay, I understand.” She whispered back. Suddenly, she got up from where she had been sitting and brushed the sand off of herself before turning towards the children, ushering them back to camp.

Daryl sat there, watching her leave. Promising himself things were going to change, and that once things were finally settled in all the communities then he was going to take a back burner from running around. Not only did he feel a desire to settle down now more than ever, he felt he needed to in order to keep his marriage going.

Daryl was never one to ever think he would get married to a woman, but when the dead started eating people he knew better than ever that anything could happen.

Meet the Adopticans (Edited)

Hello you all. The Mod here. I thought about a complete new start of this blog. So I wanted to introduce all of my characters to you so you know them all a bit better before asking questions. I also wanted to say that I, for the next time, only will draw on post it notes and will upload photos of them here on Tumblr. I will still answer the questions in my inbox but they have still to wait a little bit longer. Sorry for the waiting time. I also will not do a frequent upload rate like I said a few posts ago. I noticed if I have a fix date to upload something, I will go in a hiatus instead. I don´t want this to happen so I upload my drawings when I done them in my pase.

Now no more talking. Lets meet the citizens of Adoptica.

First to start the list is the chaos trio. Rain Dancer, Rainy Storm and Spheal Fighter.

Rain Dancer: This little fellow is the one who made this Blog possible in the first place. Even though he is a pegasus, he never flies higher than a few feet. He has a talent for getting in trouble. He is keeping his friends busy getting him out of dangerous situations he got himself into. From little things like a flower pot falling on his head to being chased by timberwolves through town. His friends even started to develope a color based alarm system only for him. There is rarly a week where he does not have a dump problem on his hooves.

He also is a little childhead. Always seeing the world with bright child eyes and never seemingly never thinking about consequences. Always being happy and trying to make everyone happy.

Rainy Storm: He is no one else than Rain Dancer only from the future. He somehow traveled 2 years in the past and now lives with his present self and all the other ones trying to help with the daily chaos and the little adventures they all get into because of his present self. But even though he is Rain Dancer he changed a lot in the coming two years. He got a barely noticed asshole attitude and learned to stand for himself. He isnt the quiet shy pegasus everyone knows from the present Rain Dancer. He is always acting strange like he does have a secret he don´t want anyone to know.

To prevent confusions with him and his present self he overdrew his cuitiemark with the symbol of a sword and wants to be called Rainy Storm.

He also is unable to touch his present self because it would tear a hole in time and space. (Timetravels are crazy)

Spheal Fighter: He is another Rain Dancer but out of another dimension. He was forced to travel through seemingly countless dimensions by a horrible curse before he landed in Adoptica. His real name isn´t Spheal Fighter but he never told someone about his real name after he changed his name to Spheal Fighter. His curse is forcing him to travel through different dimensions every time he dies. Normally he would only get a few days before meeting his inevitable fate. But this time he got a much longer stay. He is already two months in this world and he isn´t complaining about it. But he still hopes to get back home one day. He also have no cutiemark and does not think he will get one because he does not belong in this world.

Bloody Chocolate: He is the best Friend of Rain Dancer and a real movie geek. There is almost no movie he has not seen by now. He has a DvD store in town and is the first on pony to ask about any suggestions for such stuff. His special talent is, of course, movie based. If a spell is in a movie. He can recreate it. He hates it when someone ruffles through his mane but he gave up on trying to stop Rain from doing it.

Noms: He is a pony changeling hybrid. Half pony and half changeling. His mother was a pony and his father was a changeling drone which left them before he was born because he had to return to the hive. He does not know much about his fathers kind. Only the things his mother told him about them. He is capable of transforming in other ponys. Only into ponys though. He also feeds on emotions. But not on love like a normal changeling. He feeds on tensions. He can´t controle the tension eating. He automatical does it. If the tension is of an angry nature, he most likely throws up. He also can eat normal food but he don´t do it really often because of his easy to amberrase friend Rain Dancer. He also is a little prankster and uses his changeling magic often to prank his friends. Besides his tranforming spell he only knows the levitation spell.

Vila Greenheart: She is the majormare of Adoptica and born to be a real leader. A mare which does not fear to fight for her visions and her citizens. She is skilled in the art of sword fighting and is willed to defend her city with raw power if needed. She also counts to the friends of Rain Dancer and gives her best to clean after him when he again desolated the town on one of his chases with a creature of the everfree. She cares a lot about Rain. He isn´t ready to live on his own in her point of view. She hopes that he will not kill himself by accident in the future with his bad luck.

Rolling Dice: He is the born Pan and paper player and the number one to asked if he could do the game master in a sesion. He is famous in all of Adoptica for his long and awesome Ogers and Ogliettes rounds. A roleplay session is only complete with him around. It is like you are really in the game when he starts to tell the story of the adventures.

Swampy Tree: He is the owner of the T(r)ea  House. It is the local hot spot to meet your friends and to drink a nice cup of tea. Only a few citizens, including Rain and all his friends, are knowing about his secret storage he has beneath his shop. His eyes are completly stained in a light blue color and his hair is literaly moss which is growing on his head. His eyes, hair and tail are all side effects of previous experiments with potential ingredients for his magic teas. Which he is storing in his secret storage. He is searching in the everfree for magic ingredients from time to time to expand his secret magic sortiment. He also is kinda the father figure of the most ponys in town. Espacially to Rain, Bloody, Noms and one other guy. He always has good advice and his own ways of finding out what is wrong or even to punish bad behavior.

Linked Claw: This fellow is a wolf pony unicorn. No one knows where he comes from. One day he just appeared in Adoptica and soon found himself caught up in some dangerous situations with Rain Dancer. He than befriended him and helped him from time to time with his bad luck streaks. His special talent is lifelink magic. This is one reason to not get him pissed. Why he is half wolf is still a secret to everyone. The only thing he ever told someone about his past is that he was a normal unicorn once.

Gacha Ball: She is a always happy pony. Always there for everyone when they feel down and the best in keeping secrets besides Swampy. She loves a good hug and has a real hoove for those Gacha machines in town. She always gets what she ants out of them. She is the one to which everyone goes to when they feel bad or just need some down time.

Tapestry String: He is a tailor and is mostlikely making cosplays and custumes but he does normal clothing too. He always says „The crazier the better.“. He also ids a good friend of Rolling Dice. Because of his friend he met Rain Dancer and his crew in the first place. Even though he barely has contact with someone else of the crew besides Rolling Dice he got invited to take part in this Blog thing. He thought „Why not give it a try. Can be get funny to get to know the others better. What could possible go wrong?“

Shimmy Semibreve: She is just a little filly which got already her cutiemark. Proud carrying the title of Rain Dancers „little Sister of honor“. This little filly caught a big place in the chaotic pegasus heart. Always being like the little sister he never had and always telling him what to do to stay save. Even if they are not real siblings, the roles are reversed in their relationship. She is always watching over her „Big Brother“. No matter how much older he may be. Over the course of time they got a real tight bond. But the quirky friendship they share is the most funny thing in her life so far. She always gets everyone to explore the world new every day. She keeps the fresh and pure wind of childhood whirling through everyponys heart.

Blank Page: This always dressed fellow is a bit old school and special. While he always tries to be kind and charming, he gets a bit naiv every now and then. His passion is poesie. Sadly he isn´t that successfull with it. But this isn´t bringing him down. He spends so many time at his desk, writing new poems, that he catches himself sometimes rhyming in a normal conversation. This Character was designed by a good friend of mine. He/She is called Alex.

Zesk´o: He is a Zebra from out of Equestria. Driven into new lands by his need to explore and be an adventurer. Always open for new stuff no matter what it is. He does not care if it might be dangerous or disgusting. The more experiences he gather the better. The only real bad habit of him is his need to sleep really long. It seems that between  his long naps and breakfast is almost no time for something else and yet he is always energetic to do new stuff when he is awake. Rain Dancer and his friends are one reason why he settled down in Adoptica. There is always something happening. Something fun and new. No day is like the other.

Everyone else isnt you. It turns out thats a huge problem for me.

- Clementine von Radics, Things I Do When I Cannot Hold You

Two weeks have passed since that day on the parking lot.

Paul spent every night sleeping under Arya's window and every day trying to either get his mind off her or to get her to talk to him.

Apparently telling Sam about her working with a vampire started a brother/sister fight that Arya blamed Paul for and got even angrier at him, refusing to even acknowledge his existence.

Their dispute was bringing pain, both mental and physical to not only them, but the pack as well. In hopes of mending their bond and ridding themselves of their constant whining, the pack decided to throw a beach party.

While Paul had been growing distant from Rachel, Arya grew even closer to Embry. She didn't view him in a romantic sense, more like a best friend she never had, however Paul wasn't happy with her fondness of the younger wolf.

Paul's temper was worse then ever. Every little thing ticked him off which caused a lot of impromptu shifts, one even inside his house. 

On the other hand, Arya was eerily calm after her initial fight with Sam two weeks ago. Sam broke out his big brother card and forbade her to return to work which caused a rift between the siblings. It would be safe to say Sam wasn't in her good graces either. Emily played a mediator a few times, but each time it would end up in a screaming match.

'I am a grown woman Sam, you will not tell me what to do!' she yelled only for Sam to respond 'I promised you I'd protect you and this is ME protecting YOU! He's a vampire Arya, what do you think would happen if he lost control even for a second? Huh?! You'd be dead and it wouldn't be just your demise!'

Even after the pack explained to her everything about vampires: their cold, pale, flawless, hard as concrete skin, their immortality, the red eyes which she immediately connected to those that often plagued her dreams, but also the amber eyes of the entire Cullen clan that was apparently tied to their diet, she still insisted Carlisle was not a danger to her.

'Not all monsters do monstrous things Sam. All of you are monsters in a way, the bad guys in any fairy tale I've ever read, and yet you're not running around ripping people apart. They aren't either. I doubt they chose that lifestyle anymore than you did. The Cullen's are using their actions to prove that just because nature made you a predator you don't have to be a killer. That matters. Their choice of food matters. Why can't you guys understand that?!'

But each and every time that would end up with a room full of shaking boys running outside shifting soon after. It hurt her that not only were they so close-minded but that they also didn't trust her judgement. Seth seemed to be the only one who actually trusted her as he often sided with her, while she stopped talking about it with Embry completely, all in order to preserve their friendship.

As she got ready for the beach party, putting on shorts because it was strangely warm outside for this time of year, grabbing a 'Slytherin pride' jumper she walked outside to meet Embry.

„Hey Ems!“ she greeted him with a hug he eagerly returned. Some would maybe mistaken this action for a romantic gesture but neither truly felt more than a strong, almost brotherly connection. When he laid his eyes on her face he saw deep, dark circles under her eyes informing him of her long, sleepless nights. She was pale and her mood sullen, but she did a really good job covering it with a small fake smile she put on for the world to see hoping to avoid any questions. But she couldn't fool him for he already knew her better than that.

Embry could tell her fight with both Sam, her brother, and Paul, her soulmate was taking it's toll on her. Unfortunately he was forbidden to tell her about Paul imprinting on her or divulge anything directly about the recent Seattle situation that was going to soon involve them as well, but he needed to do something to help his friends finally find common ground.

Walking to the beach with their pinkies hooked together he noticed Sam and Emily were already by the grill making sure no one would starve today. Seth and Leah were playing volleyball, Quil was with Jacob and Bella on a log while Paul was sitting with Rachel a bit away from the crowd. Embry could see he was staring blankly at the crashing waves before him while Rachel went on and on about something Paul probably didn't give a damn about. He felt his friend tense next to him as she saw the couple as well, her lip quivered slightly as she turned to him.

„Please tell me there is alcohol here?“

Embry raised an eyebrow as a smirk grew on his face „have you ever had any alcohol before?“

„No, but it seems like a good day to start drinking“, she quickly replied with a strained smile.

He grabbed a few beers and watched her take a sip. Just as she took her first sip she choked up and started coughing which drew the attention of the pack as well.

„Wow. Didn't expect it to taste like that.“

„What did you expect it would taste like then?“ he looked at her with amusement. Truth be told he only ever had one beer a year ago and he grabbed it at a party he crashed with Quil and Jacob.

„I don't know, but not like...that!“ she points at the beer with a genuine smile spreading across her face. Regardless of her previous complaint she continued to down the beverage, finding she rather enjoyed the cool burn spreading down her throat to the stomach.

Embry guided her to Bella as he challenged the guys to play soccer with an agenda of his own.

The pack was running around, laughing and clearly having some well deserved fun while Arya and Bella conversed about the Cullens. They quickly bonded over their mutual understanding and beliefs regarding the family. Bella told her of Esme's nurturing side, about Emmet being a gentle giant, Rosalie's hard exterior, Alice and her visions and mad fashion skills, Jasper with the mood control abilities and finally her own soulmate Edward, the mind reading virtuoso. They were so engrossed in the conversation they barely noticed when Embry collided into Paul causing the latter to fall straight onto a big rock ending with a big, nasty cut. Rachel screamed and it drew the girls attention to the beach. Noticing a hurt Paul on the floor Arya broke into a sprint showing up seconds later. Dropping to her knees she inspected the injury while asking the boys what happened. The injury was deep and needed stitches, but her bag was back in the house.

„We need to get him to the house, I have my suture-kit in a bag with sterile gauze and bandages.“ She urged.

„Don't worry, I'll heal, it's not a big deal“, he responded as she looked at him, already getting red in the face, but this time it was from anger not embarrassment. One look from her was enough to know she wasn't joking around and it shut him up instantly. For weeks he longed for a moment alone with her to plead his case and now he would finally get it. She put a beach towel on his cut to absorb some of the blood and to put a bit of pressure on the wound.

She helped him up and offered herself as a crutch of sorts for him to lean on.

„I'm coming with you“, Rachel stated before they even made a step.

Paul mentally groaned but thankfully Embry stepped in, „Rach, he's in good hands, she's a trauma specialist. Besides you faint at anything more than drawing blood.“

Rachel walked away, but everyone could see how pissed she was. Jacob tried talking to her but it only angered her more. She could feel Paul slipping through her fingers. He'd been distant from the day that girl walked into their lives. She often asked him if there was something going on between them or if he imprinted, but he denied everything. She knew better tho'. Paul never looked at her the way he looks at Arya and it hurt her deeply. There was always hope that one day he'd feel just as strongly for her as she did for him, but from the looks of it, those dreams were dead and gone.

Meanwhile, Arya was walking with Paul, since the house was not that far away from the beach. Paul leaned on her just enough to make her believe she was really helping him walk, but he knew if he truly leaned on her they'd both fall straight to the ground.

Finally getting to the house Arya sat him on the couch and quickly disappeared upstairs only to come down not a minute later.

„First I'll have to clean the cut and it might sting a little.“ She said with her eyes concentrating on his leg, her gentle hands already in white gloves holding a dark brown bottle in one and a gauze in the other hand. She started cleaning the cut making him wince in pain.

She looked up to him with a smile playing on her lips „sorry tough guy, told you it might sting.“

God, he knew he'd take any amount of pain just to be near her as long as possible. Her lilac perfume filled his nostrils and helped him relax. Oh, how much he'd give to be able to nuzzle into her neck, to kiss her lips, play with strands of her wavy hair.

„I'm gonna give you an anesthetic to numb the area before I do the stitches. Werewolf or not, that will hurt.“

„I'm sorry“, he said suddenly.

„If you're apologizing because I'm about to go near your leg with a needle and a thread then you'll need a better apology then that“, she said with a cool and almost amused tone as she injected the anesthetic into the wound.

„No, I mean I really am sorry. I'm sorry about your car“, he continued while she looked at him with wide eyes, „about that fight, about getting Sam on your case too and about anything I might have done to hurt you. Hurting you was never my intention.“

He saw the shock register on her face before she could hide it. A small smile played on his lips, but it wasn't what he said though, his words were like pudding, sweet in an ordinary sort of way, it was the richness of his tones; luxurious and warm that drew her to him in way no one else could.

Before she could say anything he continued, „Don't get me wrong, I am still very much against you going near those leeches and there is no way in hell I'm letting you get hurt by them, but I am sorry about the way I went behind your back to tell Sam and the rest of the pack.“

She nodded and started sewing the cut shut. Her fingers worked fast and delicately. It was easy to see why she was a prodigy in her field, her talent clearly showing. After she was done with the stitches, she used another dark bottle with a darker, brownish liquid to drench a gauze she put over the stitches and a long white bandage to secure it. Just as she finished Rachel walked in with Embry following close behind. She ran up to Paul and hugged him in an excessive way that Arya couldn't help but roll her eyes at.

„Oh baby, you're okay“ she repeated during the hug which only irritated Arya more causing her to grab her things and leave the room.

She walked back to the beach with Embry next to her, grabbed the first beer she could find and downed it in seconds. Finishing the beer she grimaced, grabbed Embry's hand and plopped them both down on the sand.

It was already sunset and the romantic setting made her heart yearn for a certain wolf she swore to never think of again.

As the sun disappeared on the horizon she saw the fire was already lit, music was playing in the background and more importantly Paul was back with Rachel. She snorted grabbing her third beer of the day, already feeling slightly tipsy and Embry looked in the same direction.

„You okay?“ he asked.

„I’m drinking a cocktail of depression, anxiety, and insecurities“, she replied, not aware of a certain hothead listening in.

„You know, he doesn't love her“, he stated making her look at him with furrowed eyebrows.

„Before the shift, he was the biggest flirt in school, a player. Every week he'd date a different girl. He was short-tempered and got into fights and was a big ass to everyone. It all changed when he shifted. He had to control his anger better because one mistake could mean someone's life was done. That's why Sam gave us all orders not to talk to people outside the pack unless they were family or an imprint... So a player finds himself unable to talk to all the girls throwing themselves at him and a girl that knows of us rolls into town, what does he do?“ She looked at him confused and he shook his head in fake disappointment.

„He's with her because she is the only girl in on the secret that isn't a) related to him or b) someone else's imprint and c) because he's a stubborn ass.“

„Doesn't change the fact she's there rubbing herself on him.“ she spat out.

„Perhaps, but I know he's an idiot, because you're a catch.“

„Thanks Ems.“ She replies resting her head on his shoulder.

„Why must you call me Ems, it's damaging to my manhood“ he states with a light tone in his voice.

„Because your other nickname would be Bry, I'd be happy to change it if you want to“, she replied with fake innocence.

„Oh, you cruel woman“ he said dramatically.

„If you think that's bad, just remember I call Seth Puppy“, she claimed making him laugh.

„I'm good with Em and Ems......pun intended“ they both burst into fits of laughter.

A little further away Paul stood watching his imprint drinking and laughing with a different man. Rachel was practically rubbing herself on him, trying to kiss him a few times but what she didn't understand was how her touch was making him physically sick. He wanted Arya to touch him, not in a sexual way, , never anywhere other than his face, his hands, his hair. His warmth would seep into her being and he would comfort her without ever opening his mouth. She'd melt into him like ice-cream on a warm porcelain bowl, because she belonged next to him just as he belonged next to her. And each time before they parted the aching to be in his arms would begin anew.

He knew this wasn't working anymore. He long lost the fight, not with the bond, but with her. Her kindness, intelligence, laughter, innocence and many many other things called to him. He longed for her in every sense of the word. He knew what he had to do. Sparing one last look to the one that captured his heart and soul, he took Rachel's hand and guided her away from the crowd.

„Rachel, we need to talk.“

this is rly dumb and there is the HUGE chance im going to regret this but ok

basically when i was 15 i wrote an approx. 200k OC doctor who fanfiction featuring a kind of half self insert/half attempt to subvert mary sue comapnion stereotypes named jenna quigley. and ive been thinking about it more lately like the general storyline bc like. idk. n i figured i should write it out.

i should mention this is all 11th doctor era bc i was a huge fan at that time, and it takes place between that time he leaves amy n rory to when he does his farewell tour bc i wanted to try n add some canonical irony that ill get to later

so basically its all narrated from jenna pov as kind of stories she’s telling to the tardis database via recording. why, we don’t know yet. she;s. ok so in the plot she was from our universe n was an AVID fan of the show which like tacky i know but whatever. she starts out 15 and in basically my house and neighborhood (this fic started from a constant daydream i would have of going on adventures w the doctor bc i was a nerdy 15 yo so like. sue me) and there have been a disturbing amount of disappearances in the surrounding area that local police are stuck on. so everyones kinda afraid to go out into their own homes and at one point, jenna is doing something out in her backyard and actually witnesses one of the abductions, but is surprised to see the kidnapper looks like the silence, aka the television show shes been watching. she thinks shes going bonkers. her family leave her alone for the day to go to a thing for one of her siblings and she’s just kind of ruminating on this event when--lo and behold, an officer arrives at her door.

and jenna, she’s very skeptical about this guy. like, given recent events she doesnt trust her own eyes. and the guy is...off. like his badge n credentials, if she concentrates, looks like something else for a flash of a second, and for some reason the figure of him is kind of hazy whenever jenna tries to look directly at him. he is shown to have a quirky, friendly demeanor n jenna figures well, i gotta tell someone about what ive seen, so she invites him in. they have a brief chat n its obvious to the reader that this guy is someone VERY familiar (mostly due to my bad writing at the time) and jenna begins to explain what she saw and how its like this one show she watches, and this guy suddenly becomes very very interested in this before realizing he’s got it all pieced together and asks for jenna’s help in navigating the area to find what is, ultimately, a silence space ship.

jenna agrees and over time realizes this guy is most definitely connected to something in the whoniverse and originally believes he might be a time agent bc that seems more likely given their number as they travel to the ship. its also revealed that the officer has brought jenna along bc the key thing about what she saw is that she actually remembers the silence and can see past perception filters due to the qualities of alternate universe, slightly alternate brain chemistry and so on. its not exactly perfect--she can’t get through perception filters rly, especially good ones--but its enough to know something is wrong n remember certain things others from the dw universe might not be able to like the actual silence aliens themselves.

anyway they make their way to the ship, which has come through a massive tear in reality that the officer came through. in the fic lore i guess tears are seen as usually benign things meant to leak ideas of universes into other universes as a kind of waste disposal system, and as a side effect create inspiration in those who are close to them. this tear, though, became too big, kind of like a leaky pipe, and actual material was able to get through by keeping a frequency from both ends of the tear as a kind of safety rope. and to maintain their energy as a stranded ship the silence have been using humans as batteries. i put a lot of thought into this, i know.

SO once theyre in the ship the “”officer”” (we know who he is by now lets just face it) and jenna are captured n separated. jenna is held hostage and it is revealed she is a part of a second half of the “silence will fall when the question is asked” prophecy which goes “the unexpected shall follow the guided task” (i loved rhymes) which is further revealed to the be the following: change the timeline and destroy the doctor. and jenna, being jenna, is like “listen u guys i dont even know the guy so uh failed step one i guess”. she’s saved by the “”officer”” in the nick of time through work of faulty electrical work (like? i know its for style but the silence have all those lights on the floor n it is VERY dangerous) so the whole ship is blacked out n she hears the differently pitched speech patterns (”why do u sound all different” “they took my equipment nevermind lets go”) and after doing some work to reverse the frequency and basically make the ship implode back into its original universe they run back to jenna’s home in the dark, seeing as she was out for quite a bit. her family is conveniently not home yet n decided to hang out with some friends. and when she gets back n is finally in the light SURPRISE!!! turns out the officer was the doctor all along in disguise from the silence using a perception filter. 15 year old me was a literary genius.

n u might think hannah this is rly long is it done now and of course it isnt!! that was just the intro!! after the initial shock jenna kind of parses what era the doctor is from, which is pre-silencio but after finding out about it n in that 200 yr stretch that was never rly shown. and jenna’s like, a whole season ahead of him basically and knows all this stuff and is trying to engage with this guy she’s a huge fan of without like accidentally spilling the beans on his future. she sits him down to explain the whole tv show thing n lets him watch an episode while she goes to her room to pack like clothes n her laptop because its not every day the doctor just flies in and she’s 15 so shes like hellz yeah im gonna be a COMPANION not even THINKING of the consequences in terms of the multiverse, the prophecy and her family (she does leave a note but its self centered n kinda lame tbh just like be back whenever). afterwards she walks the doctor back to the tardis and is like so where we gonna go n the doctor looks at her like jenna you are a literal child im not taking you anywhere and jenna though some MASTERY of writing that was basically hey look over there! and doing it anyway sneaks into the tardis when the doctor isnt looking n becomes his stowaway.

for the next few weeks she just kind of chills in the tardis with this fear that the doctor will immediately bring her back home so might as well have fun and kinda sneaks around him and keeps couch hopping from room to room. the tardis does not like her one bit due to the whole different universe funky energies thing (and this was pre-clara and i really wanted to see a companion the tardis didnt like so) and has multiple conversations with it via the interface hologram which meant i could write cameos for classic companions and write the tardis as a character bc i was a nerd.

SO after weeks of casually avoiding the doctor eventually she gets caught by him and hes not happy about it so shes like well ok then send me home n then she gets the real kicker which is the tears all mended up. after the material was put back in place it went back to being benign n too small for anything to travel between. so jenna basically stuck in this foreign universe with a very slim chance of returning back to her old life and her family and friends and she mistakes the doctors anger at the situation for anger at her so shes like basically im all alone here oh god n has a crisis n has a dramatic run off into the bowels of the tardis hallways

eventually the doctor finds her and they bond over being kind of the last of their kind in a way and he takes a kind of fatherly role and is like well youre already here and im miserable on my own so why dont we two birds one stone it n just go on adventures for the time being and takes a kind of fatherly platonic role with jenna bc i was sick of seeing companions hook up with the doctor and was confused as to why they wanted to hook up with him (spoiler alert: huge lesbian)

so they set off on their adventures. the first one was about the doctor and jenna accidentally boarding a ship of genetically engineered soldiers called evos being shipped off to a galactic war and finding out some of them had rebelled and had been camping out in the ships underbelly. they had no mouths but were able to communicate via sign language n empath touch powers of transferable memories. the captain was a bitch who didnt see the evos as living things n eventually in a stand off either offered them a chance for the other, still podded evos to live and for them all to live a horrible life or have the podded evos be ejected into space in return for them to have a chance to fight for their freedom. the choice ended up coming down to jenna, somehow, i think, and she chose freedom and cost the lives of like 200 evos but were able to get the ones they were able to save (about, like, 100 i think) to safety and create their own civilization away from harm on a distant planet and their success and triumph to live their own lives i guess canceled out the fact that jenna played a part in the deaths of 200 beings. it was. i dont even know 

the next “episode” after a brief interlude of less impactful adventures and discussing mortality was a sherlock crossover episode that im too embarrassed to go into detail about but did reveal jenna’s newly formed abandonment issues due to her stranded in a strange universe situation and the fact she had a self harm problem that, surprise, mirrored mine. her n the doctor went on some more adventures over the next few months that were mentioned in passing. it should be noted that this first “act” i guess takes place over a solid year

the next episode featured river song bc i was gay for her without knowing it and i had just learned about easter island in history class and i decided to expand on one of the adventures said in passing during the series to kind of root my fic in canon bc i was a smarmy bitch. it involved being perceived as gods and the silence and using the flesh as a means of luring villagers to be used as human batteries and also putting a percetion filter on the ship so what was actually a crater was perceived to be a mountain. through this episode we saw the doctor again facing his own mortality, river sitting jenna down after a series of events pieced together her abandonment issues n harm problem n being like you cant rely on the doctor for this alone trust me i know its fun but when it starts ending it wont be. jenna gets kidnapped again by the silence n is reproduced as flesh to try and steer the doctor n river away from saving the day but overcomes that impulse and eventually pulls herself out of it and helps save things.

this episode also imports an important plot device of misplacement, which i shouldve put in earlier if im honest. the basic idea of it, within the fic lore, was that the universe, multiverse, whatever had to compensate for temporal displacement all the time when choices were made, but when big things that would alter history happened--like a giant supposed mountain blowing up 200 years after it had already blew up--it had a fail safe to transport the object causing the harm to the exact place but in a different time where the event would have less of a temporal impact. theres also an important note here where the doctor doesnt recall jenna being with him on their first adventure together. both are setting up the larger plot.

after the deal with the kidnapping and the flesh and all their adventures the doctor becomes kind of protective of jenna because i mean the dude also has abandonment issues like lets be real. so he kind of tones down the danger in fear of jenna dying or getting hurt. i mean, its been a year and theyve kind of become these friends who snark at each other like a family would and its nice that jenna has this person she can trust because she watched the show and like, knows him and knows his tells and calls him out on his bullshit before he can even get started and feels a kind of responsibility for due to the prophecy she was given and the doctor has someone to talk to and someone he also doesnt have to hide from really because she already knows almost everything. theyve been equally protective of each other--jenna keeping the doctor in the dark about the prophecy about her and keeping mum on the fact that she knows he isnt going to die, and the doctor worrying about jenna’s safety and trying not to screw her up like he has past companions to kind of try to atone for his past mistakes and make it up to this girl whose life he kind of unintentionally ruined. ok honestly idk why im getting in depth but i spent. years on this fic you dont understand

so. after a while jenna just kind of calls the doctor out like come on lets at least go somewhere fun and end up spending christmas eve in new york in the forties and befriend this newly single mother and jenna fakes a REALLY BAD accent to get across that her n the doctor are related n poor to gain sympathy. they do all the things she wants like times square and macy’s, where surprise! she sees amy n rory n their son and just kind of like. guides them away from the doctor like guys. this aint ur guy. and it would fuck EVERYTHING up also hi i know your guys’s entire life story, cute kid, etc. they give jenna some advice dealing w the doctor and she tells them that she’ll try her best to make sure he doesnt like, go self hating n all that bullshit n they part ways. her n the doctor meet up again and throughout this whole first part jenna’s been noticing people following her? with like, these weird orange-y eyes. and she thinks like fuck ok this’ll ruin the adventure, maybe theyll leave but they end up starting to go after her and reveal themselves to be a species called the visicheck

after escaping and dumpster diving because the visicheck hunt based on scent, jenna and the doctor start heading towards the single mother’s place for refuge (she had seen their situation n offered a place to spend christmas eve) and on the cab ride over the doctor explains that the visicheck r these ancestors of the family of blood, and basically are lifeless specks that latch onto living things and possess them until they burn them out and move onto the next one. they consume what is the basic energy a thing needs to exist and be alive, and for different species there’s different levels. lets say a dw universe human is ur basic ten on the scale. because of different circumstances in different universes, jenna is basically a 120 on the scale. like, these things could possess her body and use it for centuries to wreck havoc with the kind of energy she holds. and jenna, thinking about the prophecy of changing the timeline and also not wanting to basically be the living dead is like yeah ok fuck this is bad. 

they find some brief refuge in the single mothers apartment for a time and enjoy a lovely christmas eve dinner but eventually the visicheck catch up to them. the doctor escorts the single mother n her kid into a cab to get as far away as possible while jenna is just supposed to keep holed up in the apartment, but things arent so easy and they end up breaking in. she’s able to hit them over the head with a pan n kind of stave them off for a bit and heads for the roof, but is eventually backed into a circle. knowing the visichek can’t possess something that is dead and not wanting to potentially endanger the universe just to keep her life jenna jumps off the building in a dramatic fashion that i wrote to play with the carol of the bells because i thought it was cool, and you know what? it was. it really was.

and so jenna dies

at least for a bit

she wakes up in the tardis, rly confused because like, she died. like she knows she did. and the doctors not speaking n acting all broody and she finally gets the story out of him that after she died (posted as an anonymous person in the newspaper, i should note, and put in an unnamed grave to keep the whole “written in stone” thing in line) he kind of. went off on his own for a bit before rly hating himself for letting jenna die right in front of him and went back to catch and save her before she landed, therefore altering the events as it happened. and jenna is...not happy about this. like, one bit. because, in a twist of fate, because she is both living and dead the universe must compensate by going to misplacement, but jenna can’t fully complete the misplacement “”process”” i guess until she is in the exact location she is misplaced from, only different time and all, and in this case she’s in the tardis which almost always has its shields up, so she can’t even complete that bit. so, as explained, the universe will start the process over whenever the tardis decides to fly off again, and send jenna to a different time within the tardis’s general vicinity.

basically, she’s gonna be stuck hopping around the doctor’s timeline. like, all of it, until she finally meets up with the right doctor who knows her n has been past this point. which could take years for her. and, mind you, the task she was “assigned” in the prophecy was to change the timeline, and as a result destroy the doctor. so this is basically jenna’s worst nightmare, and she finally spills the beans about the prophecy in a fit of anger before trying to say goodbye and being whisked off

and this is where the angst stuff happens

basically, for the next year or so (when i rewrite in my head its two years, makes more sense) jenna is thrown around one end of the universe to the other, trying to stay out of the way of the doctor’s events while also trying to, you know, survive and eat and drink and sleep. she’s basically a homeless vagabond for most of it, and her abandonment issues and self harming kind of escalate. she begins leading a really lonely life, and grows this kind of love/hate relationship with the doctor where she really hopes to see him again but also grows bitter against him for putting him in this situation. she visits companions before their time with the doctor, like donna, by accident and stumbles through meeting them and trying to just keep going. in her loneliness she starts talking to a version of the doctor in her head, which starts taking more and more of a form to her before its a fully grown kind of hallucination she’s created out of loneliness (which was kind of based off of me being a lonely kid and having pretend conversations with characters to simulate human connection which is. sad. i know. really sad. its a lot). 

for a time jenna is stuck with the doctor and martha during the months leading up to human nature/the family of blood, and inadvertently meets martha and gets a job at the school as a fellow maid through helping martha drag the doctor to the place. she figures its the only stability she’ll have for a while and since she was never shown in the show it isnt rly affecting the most important bits of the timeline, and resolves to stay as far away from john smith as she can and just live out her life until the events of the episodes start happening and she’ll vamoose. she adopts an accent to blend in and when she has free time finds the stashed away tardis, which initially does not recognize jenna as a companion until finding archived recordings from the future bc duh its a time machine, which brings the whole pov thing full circle, and interacts with the interface to get answers about her growing questions about the silence and her situation and learns about a device called the cage, which has been alluded to in previous “episodes” only by name, as a great machine created by the silence that is meant to basically make it so that anything inside of it would be erased for existence, past present and future, using energy form the cracks in the universe. this was still at a point in the actual series where we knew nothing so i just kind of went buckwild.

jenna ends up having to interact with the tenth doctor as john smith once, and kind of aims all of her bitterness towards her future self at him and realizes that isnt fair, apologizes, and has a cathartic moment of finally moving past a grudge with the wrong version of the doctor. eventually the events of the episodes start happening and she vamooses before getting sent off to god knows where again, yippee

eventually through the next year jenna kind of begins to rly lose hope. like, it’s been a year already, she doesn’t know if she can keep living like this. so she makes a deal with herself to wait out until the end of this second year of time travelling vagabonding before she decides to off herself to save herself and the universe the trouble. 

she keeps going through the motions and actually stumbles upon a future, post-silencio doctor, with rory and amy in tow, and in a fit of like oh my god relief she kind of runs up to him and is like i found you, finally, holy shit n the doctor looks at her like im sorry but i dont...know you? like i genuinely dont know who you are. you might have ur timelines all switched up. and jenna knows this isnt true and freaks out and kind of just is like, theres like fifteen days until the deadline, all hope is lost, gonna just completely self destruct n cuts her hair and stops eating, but on the day of the actual deadline she keeps stalling as she zaps from place to place before finally deciding to end how it should end by jumping off a building n she has this heartfelt convo with this imaginary figure thats kept her company all this time

so she makes the journey up this apartment building in this basically abandoned future...chicago, i think? yeah. and you know, is about to do when whaddaya know, a familiar voice is calling out for her. she thinks its just the hallucination but eventually realizes that its actually the doctor, one that knows her, and they have this really heartfelt hug before she punches him square in the face

after the fact is a lot of secret keeping on jenna’s side. she doesnt want to be a burden and just kind of wants things to eventually get back to normal after a period of just resting finally and lies about her time being thrown around the doctors timeline, telling him it was only a few months instead of two years, and hiding the evidence of her self harm and other forms of self destruction to try and get things back to the way they were. the doctor can see through jenna’s bullshit though and over a month of just kind of chilling in the tardis and getting better she eventually tells him and after being pulled into an adventure with alien bees and a prison break and characters very much based off of the captor brothers from homestuck they kind of find their original rhythm

the next adventure was the one where i stopped writing mostly bc the plot absolutely sucked. it was a beach adventure episode, involving aliens and aliens who were mermaids and being stranded on a remote island. also, at the time i was going through a sexuality crisis and decided jenna was gonna go through it too and made her realize she was gay for one of the alien mermaids and totally made out with her. you can see how the plot was failing a bit, and the only thing i dont regret is the whole mermaid makeout thing really. 

the rest of the series from that point on was supposed to go something like this: jenna has to go back to her old high school, except in the dw universe, and finds out she actually doesn’t exist in this universe??? which is weird. the doctor plays teacher and they live in the prop attic of the school investigating a counselor that literally feeds off of emotions until the students are a husk and die. there was going to be a filler where the doctor and jenna start the doctors farewell tour (it is revealed when they finally find each other at the end of the timeline jumping debacle that the doctor has like two years left until silencio happens, with like a hundred years passing between new york n finding jenna) and the doctors mortality is discussed and jenna begins to wonder what happens to her since she isnt at the event or anything going forward, and begins to worry about the prophecy again.

the finale of jenna’s adventures was supposed to go like this: they end up tackling the silence again, only with the help of the cage, after jenna notices the doctor beginning to forget more and more things about her. they get captured and the silence plan to place the doctor in the cage and eradicate him from existence so that the question to be asked never existed to begin with. i hadnt figured out how yet, but basically jenna would finally click everything together and realize it was her destiny to do this, and even had a better chance since it eradicated her from this universe, and she still had a life in another one and could maybe start over and appreciate her family and friends a bit more, and would pull a switcheroo so that she would be put in the cage and slowly eradicated from existence. from that point the silence ship would kind of go haywire from the power being used by the cage and jenna would drag the incapicitated doctor back to the tardis and saying she has to go record something real quick, and then we dont hear from her again.

last scene would be of the doctor, years and years into the future, during one of his alone periods, sifting through the tardis database and happening upon the archived recording files and listening to them, not remembering exactly but living through these events with a person that was there but also never there to begin with, and the last recording being an actual face recording of jenna saying you know, she doesnt regret a minute of it, go out there and have a nice life and dont feel bad for her before saying goodbye and zapping out of existence.

last “scene” i guess would be a fifteen year old jenna, rather than the 18-19 year old we’ve come to know, waking up the day it all started and realizing she accidentally napped through the whole day when her parents wake her up. it seems apparent she doesn’t remember a thing, but her parents say something offhand that wouldve been a prolific line and she has a sense of deja vu and hints towards her someday maybe remembering but also having a chance to live a life without the trauma of her life lead in the other universe

so uh yeah. idk why i decided to write all of this. actually i do i have an essay i have to write but. idk this fic was a huge part of my life for like. a good amount of time and despite its tackiness im actually very proud of it and just wanted to share its story without having anyone ever have the link to it and read it because despite my careful planning i did narrate like a superwholock for most of it and it was REALLY annoyin. but this fic and the character of jenna actually helped me work through a lot of my own bullshit and im still kind of in love with it. and in the years to come actually m*ffat fucking used these plot points like the tardis hating the companion n the doctor forgetting about a companion like years after i wrote this shit but i think i wrapped up the cracks in the universe n silence thing pretty fucking well so uh. petition for fifteen year old me to rewrite the last half of season 6 i guess. anyway its 2 in the morning and i just wrote honest to god a full 5,000 words about my doctor who oc fanfiction so uh. yeah. fuck.

okay MISC CHARACTER HEADCANONS AND THINGS

* first and most important one: arthur and dylas consider porcoline their adopted father just like margaret does, and they all see each other as siblings. Its never actually stated in canon but IT HAS TO BE TRUE OKAY * I wish Illuminata, Bado and Pico could have been marriages in dlc or something. Thats not really a headcanon but I wanted to mention it. * ALL THE GAY JOKES ARE NOW NOT JOKES BUT CANON. That is my headcanon. Stop teasing me with ‘lol isnt it somehow funny that they seem to be gay but arent’, and give me more actual being the what they are. Pico has a crush on Dolce, Doug and Dylas have a crush, Margaret is totally crushing on Forte, imagine a universe where all of that gets to be canon and not just a ‘joke’! And imagine if these characters that’re implied to be gay or bisexual could get to be gay or bisexual with regards to the protagonist too! If dylas, doug, margaret and forte could be marriageable no matter which gender you picked! Maybe if you could have some options that’re exclusively gay too? Perhaps pico is the lesbian marriage and I dunno.. bado could be gay because he’s kinda bara? XD Tho I think it’d be neat if frey could marry him too, i just wish he had a route in general. * Also i wish we could have been able to help Arthur track down his mother again and reconcile with her. It was mega heartwarming that you could help him discover that his mother loved him all along and only left because of outside cricumstances involving the controversy of arthur being the product of his father’s affair with a commoner, but still we dont know where she is now and whether she’s happy. I like to hope maybe she’s out there still alive somewhere, and maybe she collects newspaper clippings hearing about her son’s adventures as super businessman prince! And thus someday she hears that he moved to selphia and married frey the commoner, and maybe this leads to her deciding to come back and confess why she really left. And also maybe the marriage to the protagonist could help society get over the whole predjudice and stuff and arthur’s mum could regain a better reputation in the eyes of the nobles. or maybe she never does and she just ends up moving into selphia and never being able to return to her home city, but still its all ok cos at least she can hug her son and meet her new grandkid. * My thoughts for the guardians who didnt get much said about their past lives! For Amber the game says she ‘wanted to fly with ventuswill’ and thats at least more than we know for Dylas, but still its very undeveloped. My headcanon is that maybe she was a pilot? or like.. lived in an era before airships were actually invented, and was someone who dreamed of finding a way to make it possible. And her notes were discovered after she vanished, and ended up inspiring the person who ended up inventing the first flying machine! And even though now she can fly on her own wings, it could be heartwarming for her to find out about this and have a bit of conclusion to her life. I also headcanon that Amber’s relationship with Ventuswill was maybe more like an adoptive mother-daughter thing? I think it would fit with how strange and monster-like Amber thinks sometimes, even though she must have been human to begin with. I mean maybe thats just how the magic works and if you’re a weirdo who loves eating raw potatos and climbing trees to steal honey from beehives you become a butterfly?? But I think it could work if maybe she was an orphan who was raised by the native dragon and ended up a little ditzy because she hadn’t interacted with humans much until nowadays. like, maybe this was a period when ventuswill was mourning the first person who became a guardian (what order did it happen, actually...?) and she became more solitary instead of having this personal presence in the town. She flew off to watch over selphia from within the forest cave instead, and found an abandoned child by chance. And then once Amber had grown up she was always trying to drop her off at the town and make her live with her own kind, but amber would always find her way back. And ventuswill was like ‘aww shit no i ended up loving someone again’ and couldnt stop amber from finding out about the guardian ritual and doing it too. And like... the only reason ventuswill went back to the town was because now corrupted-amber is the boss of the forest area and ventuswill cant break through her magic to get back in. So amber’s sacrifice also helped convince venti to open up to other people again. *eternal sobbing* * And my headcanons for Dylas’s past are less developed, but I was considering maybe the idea that he was the last one to be guardianized? And by this point it had become seen as a tradition by the people of selphia, and they would like.. look for a human sacrifice, rather than it being someone who willingly did it. It was a very dark time in the town’s history. It was nearly the end of the town not because it was in danger, but because if they’d gone through with such a horrible plan it just wouldnt be selphia anymore. Those people wouldnt be worth protecting, it probably would have caused ventuswill to leave and never return. So anyway I was thinking maybe Dylas was some sort of weird loner fisherman on the edge of town that everyone hated, so they considered him the one who should be sacrificed. And he was so lonely and suicidal that he wanted to agree to it, just because he wanted to die and didnt care how. But then ventuswill put a stop to the angry mob and rescued him, and he regained his faith in people and found his first and greatest friend as he got to know her. So in the end he performed the ritual out of his own free will, after realizing she was the one who would be saved by his sacrifice. And she was haunted by the guilt that by saving him she’d inadvertantly caused him to go down the same path anyway, just for different reasons. And then Dylas is just way more happy nowadays because whatever reason the town hated him is now gone, and he’s seeing how kind and wonderful its become, and he’s never had so many friends before!! And he can still go fishing and hang out with venti, and even meet three other people who also loved venti enough to die, and bond over their super sadness together. Oh! An idea! Maybe Dylas was part of a different race of nomadic humans who travel in caravans, and the town treated him so shittily because they were racist fucks? I was just thinking how that could maybe be a reason why his monster form was a horse, if maybe horses were a highly respected animal in his home culture, and he’s all estranged from it and stuck living in a foreign land with a bunch of intolerant bastards. And it could be extra heartwarming cos nowadays he’s living in the future version of this town that is even more foreign to him, but nowadays that racial tension is less common and he’s actually been welcomed as one of them. And maybe he could have extra quests added to his rather short romance route, cos he could be trying to learn whether his clan actually survived and still exists nowadays. And then have a heartwarming reunion with the grandchild of one of his siblings maybe? look, everyone else in the batchelors got a big sad questline, why cant perfect tsundere horseman join them?? IT WOULD BE THE SADDEST OF ALL THE SADS * also it would be really cool if when you married the guardian characters your child could inherit monster powers! I’m still gonna forever headcanon that they do, even if they dont get any of the appearance traits. It would be so cute if noel/luna could poof into a tiny baby unicorn and dylas is just sobbing with pride :3 * also headcanon: I wish Leon’s fox statue guardians could move into the city after you marry him, and be like loving uncle babysitters to your child! the excuse would be like ‘we need to protect the next in the proud dragon priest lineage’. And maybe once they leave the temple they could be stuck in de-powered tiny pet forms of cute? * Oh and a possible headcanon that the name Leon is passed down from father to son in Leon’s family. That’d explain why that temple is called Leon Karnak. Unless it was renamed into a memorial to him after he sacrificed himself? But it could be cute if your kid with him was Leon Jr/Leona and had adorkable fox statue pets and was a prodigy champion in the buddy battle festival and made their parents proud. I HAVE MANY HEADCANONS! * Gahhhh I really dont know who I should marry! Arthur was the first one I dated and I really like him though I wish you could have a friend route with him where you still help him with his backstory problems, I dont feel like I like the ship as much. And then Leon’s backstory was so sad I feel guilty not marrying him, but Dylas’s marriage route was so BAD that I feel guilty not marrying him! He didnt get as many scenes as leon, so I wanna marry him instead so i can fly off headcanoning more scenes!! But gahhh leon!! I think I ship leon with female protagonist and dylas with the male one :P I might make two saves to try both. And a third save just to see what arthur’s route is like, though i still like him and female protagonist better as a brotp, yknow? Or maybe amicable exes. Or just people who dated once casually but didnt end up together. Or any way i could get the happy ending to his backstory stuff without having to date him, seriously why does everyone be backstory sad unless I date them??
