Help...

Dudes, I don't really know what happed, but i have got a really big hyperfixation on the band KISS again. It came out of nowhere and Eric C. and Ace Frehley have me in a chokehold.

The guitar riffs are face meltingly tasty, and if they were food i'd eat them. Eric C. being a goofball and a fantastic drummer (IMO) is the best thing that happed to that band in the 80s when they were trying to re-invent themselves and taking off the makeup.

I just keep listening to the band, and I want to find the old comics that they had going for the band back in the heyday, but they are so stinkin expensive though. The one from 1977 with their blood in the ink or whatever it was that they did is going for like $250.00-$350.00 USD on Ebay. It's like "Dawg wut? Why must you charge so high for that!" But I get that it is discontinued and "old" and so, someone out there has to make a quick buck.

Love the contrast between the Americans’ “Apollo” and the Soviets’ “Sputnik.” You got the Americans naming their rocket after a Greek god trying to communicate the grandness and importance of this rocket. And you got the Soviets naming their rocket “fellow traveler.” Like a friend you go on an adventure with together. This rocket is our little friend lol

#i think its cute #they took the mars rover approach #humanizing the space craft making it cute making us (me) project emotions onto it #the soviets also used imagery of laika in propaganda a lot #which is pretty fucked up imo #but if i grew up in the soviet union that shit wouldve definetly worked on me lmao #the narrative of a heroic little dog going to space and being honored by the whole country #as cruely wrong as it is its very appealing #the soviets knew what they were doing man they didnt reveal how laika really died until like. the 2000s #bc they knew people really cared about that dog #they liked the narrative around her
