I remember making a post about Ford having the sole privilege of being allowed to use the nickname Lee. Well, I have a similar hc about Ford using the name Stan—it's not super happy. (Which is what the comic is centered on).

((Abuse mention tw for what I'm about to discuss.))

It's specifically about Stanford saying it when he's angry, upset, exasperated, etc. Because Ford can sound like their dad I fine when he yells sometimes. And with how differently Stan was raised compared to his twin, yeah, it doesn't mix well.

I was also inspired a bit by the fic "Clay Pigeons" by PoggoFroggo on ao3, which I was recommended. And you should give it a read! It goes more into the idea of Stan and Ford having two couple different childhoods by comparisons. (I also recommended their other Stan twins fic. They're all great.)

Wait so after all the John flashbacks when does Harrow realize that John Gaius ascended into godhood at the sacrifice of 10 billion people and an immortal (it’s the fucking planet man it’s 4.5 billion years older and only getting older) and then consumed its soul as the cherry on the divine necropie yeah?

And Harrow herself was born from the sacrifice of 200 people and achieved lyctorhood at the death of a immortal being (Gideon can regenerate and came back at least a dozen or more deaths making her nigh-immortal if not immortal until proven otherwise, by the time she impaled herself) 

like we get it--Harrow is meant to mirror Jod but like I think she's going all the way like she did necromancy in the river THE FIRST TIME SHE WAS EVER IN THE RIVER AND SHE WAS A TEENAGER

Harrow’s even more of a baby god than the lyctors. Like the lectors are demigods, but Harrow really is a baby god.

The thing about Jayce and Mel is that like. She does not view him as an investment. That is just certifiably false. You have to skip over all her scenes to believe that.

In the beginning she does! She absolutely does! She conceives of their relationship as a business one - where she makes profit off his inventions, and he profits from her business and political acumen, both monetarily and powerwise. And overall, she believes she's fulfilled her half of the bargain.

It's only when he comes back to her after Viktor gets sick that she realizes he believes this is something deeper. And it's notable that she responds to that emotion - she opens up about herself too, comforts him, and expresses real emotionality about it. It's then that we see his ideals start to influence her - especially reawakening in her a desire for nonviolence.

Wanting to do things peacefully is something that's been with her since she was a child. It is what guides her away from Noxus, because her pacifism just does not fit there. It's why she loved Piltover so - they aren't a violent expansionist empire, which is a really low bar, but that's what she's grown up in.

She never finds the violence in Zaun, because she never goes looking for it. This is her fault, and her flaw, let me make that clear. She has some of the most power in the city, and should know about what kind of violence is holding up, and work to resolve it, truly. But she doesn't, because she's focused on her own exploits, and has so insulated herself away from the class struggle that it does not register for her until it grows to violence.

And then, once that violence comes, she maintains that pacifism with an iron grip, more than Jayce himself. It is Jayce who constructs (almost) all the HexTech weapons that are used in the Undercity, in Caitlyn's police squadron. He betrays the oaths that he's made to his partner, where Mel keeps the promise she's made to her's. She is the only politician left to try to tamp down on the worst of Ambessa's instincts, and her removal from Piltover is what marks it's descent into militarism.

She is ultimately a complicated woman, with a bunch of interesting relationships to Piltover and Zaun. I think you can divide Piltover as a city neatly between her, Jayce, and Caitlyn - each of them standing for some of Piltover's best instincts, and some of its worst.

tongrak and his 'i'm about to have glorious jealousy-induced possessive!kink sex' shirt

lets talk about how tongrak puts on the same shirt. sets the scene up so that mahasamut is going to come find him. clearly at least encourages if not instigates the drink with another man. smiles when the other man holds his hand and only pulls away once he knows mahasamut is watching.

(i love the implication that mahasamut was glaring SO HARD the guy noticed him in his periphery and knew it was because of tongrak)

when mahasamut slams his hand against the wall over his head, tongrak visibly shuffles his feet forward whilst leaning back against the wall so he's even smaller/shorter than mahasamut. claims to have been touched at his waist and thigh (...?? when??). grasps at mahasamut's shirt as if to pull him closer even as he's shaking (in fear? excitement? both?). literally does that thing where he moans into the kiss.

then has the audacity to bite his lips and smile possibly the most smug smile ever as he remembers the moment.
