How the fuck did my silly goofy not serious little narumitsu Reddit fic turn into this?! (The answer is that the angst got to me)

Uh hi everyone have some free “Miles Edgeworth Chooses Death” angst (SUFFER SUFFER SUFFER SUFFER)

For those of you who don’t know, this is a supplemental comic for my fic Questions and Answers and it takes place in between chapter 4 and chapter 5 (as of writing this, chapter 5 has not been written or posted yet) so yes, this is canon to that story

I never drew Phoenix or Miles before this comic and idk they came out alright I think

I scrambled to get most of this done right before going to a rave and now I’m back home and finishing this shit up

Also I’m not really used to making comics so excuse the minimal movement or variation

I might write a oneshot fic expanding on this but don’t count on it

This is literally the gayest thing I’ve ever drawn

no but seriously the "my friend wanted some help with legal work" line in aa4 changed me as a person. i think about edgeworth trying to reach out to freshly disbarred phoenix in a million different ways and it not working, so this bastard pulls a damsel in distress move on the guy who's only weakness is people who need help and goes "wright:((( there's this very very tough case:((( innocent people will go to jail if you don't accept these first class plane tickets for you and your daughter and spend a week with me in this five star european hotel :((( oh i am so lost and confused ughh this legal work is killing me" AND IT WORKS MULTIPLE TIMESSSS

Y’know what I want DESPERATELY?….Kristoph Gavin Ace Attorney.

Obviously this won’t ever happen, but god, I need a fic or something of it. Like imagine being able to Play as Kristoph during the seven year gap with Apollo as his weird lil assistant. Then we’d finally be able to get more information on the Gavin’s backstory’s and maybe even understand some of Kristoph’s psyche locks. On top of that, we’d also be able to get a better looks at his relationships with those around him which we couldn’t get all that much of due to how little we actually interacted with him in AA4.

Adding to this, The first case could take place a month or two after Phoenix’s disbarment and have that be how he met Apollo. Have him be the first defendant. Apollo’s 15 at that time so maybe a teacher was murder by a senior or if you wanna torment the child more than necessary, make the culprit his foster parents or something and have the purposefully try to pin it on Apollo. Idk who the victim in this scenario would be, but it kinda doesn’t matter at the moment considering it just a concept. Both scenarios end the same, with Apollo following Kristoph around and him begrudgingly having to put up with it.

Imagine the one time Kristoph doesn’t have to deal with Apollo, he has to talk to a witness in a Chuck E Cheese type of place where you can only enter if you have someone under the age of 18 and Kristoph getting annoyed because now he HAS to have Apollo tag along.

Idk. The concepts neat to me.

It’s Miles Edgeworth who teaches Phoenix Wright to play the piano, and it’s a fact that will always strike the both of them as funny, in retrospect. [or: seven years of transatlantic commuting and repairing broken judicial systems.]

The seven year gap is a lot more tragic when you think about how sensitive Phoenix really is. Like this dude is still hung up and sad about being berated in the 4th grade, by a class full of kids. When there's thousands of people... he definitely wasn't in a good spot :(

^ i've been rewatching aa4 and saw this line, which is where this whole train of thought comes from; Trucy is very perceptive, obviously, and caught onto how Phoenix is sad when he's alone very quick for a 15 y.o.

Phoenix is a very extroverted/social person, and having to go into hiding definitely didn't do wonders for his self-esteem or perception. No wonder he clung to Kristoph despite knowing that he was the cause of everything; he'd basically take whatever friendship and socialization he could get.

klavier goes to visit kristoph one morning during the 7yg and as he comes in the first thing he sees is phoenix fucking wright of all people in boxers and a tshirt making bacon and eggs in his brother's kitchen. he thinks it couldnt possibly get any worse but then kristoph waltzes into the room with his hair down and wearing a nightrobe (and possibly not much else) as he says he wasnt expecting klavier to be arriving so early. klavier thinks this might be hell.
