though eva had no issue with the barrier being brought down, her mother did. snow white, the woman who had raised evangeline to be kind even if eva had lost her way occasionally, was now trying to keep her daughter at home, away from the former villains that could now move freely about auradon. being the overprotective mother to evangeline, snow was now keeping her inside, away from the evil queen. well, she was trying to. eva snuck out late that night, going past the guards as hidden as she could be before breaking off into a sprint.

gasping for breath, she found herself at somebody's door, knocking loudly. the brunette winced as she realized just how late it was. oops. as the door opened, eva took in a breath before starting. ❝ i am so sorry to bother you, but i was wondering if i could stay with you here for a little bit ? ❞ evangeline and the person sort of knew each other, maybe not enough for to have been asking such a large favor, but it was worth a shot. ❝ my mother is practically keeping me locked away like rapunzel just because she is afraid of the villains being allowed access to auradon. i don't think that's very fair of her. i mean, i think that if they were going to do something they would have already, right ? ❞ brown eyes widened as she looked over her friend's ? acquaintance's face. ❝ you won't even know i'm here, promise ! ❞ eva added quickly, hoping that they'd let her stay with them for the time being.

sure, being stuck in the castle wasn't that bad, but she still wanted to be able to go out and see friends. plus, she was starting college soon ! would her mother keep her from that too ? eva felt that her mother was being ridiculous and her father was too considering he wasn't even trying to put a stop to it !

A Roman Secret Garden

This was a quick snap under a cloudy sky. In post, some tedious dodging work was applied to the sky to white-out the conservatory structure. The original image was actually a little on the yellowish-green side. And this was corrected somewhat lazily with the Photoshop ‘auto colour correction’ feature. Saturation was then brought back up a bit.
