So it’s all 1920s fashion for the setting obviously, Atticus had to be full farmer boy vibes obviously and his hair needed to be messy and unkept with an overall red ish color scheme. Eyes are friendly and a warm brown. Hairy. Sen is forever baby face in my mind even though he’s like 18 I think, big pokemon protag energy. Also newspaper boy and canon curly hair, but I wanted him to be a little tan with freckles, big blue eyes, and overall blue color palette. Watery puppy dog eyes vibes. Wesley my beloved. He’s my favorite to draw, fancy rich vibe clothes. And purple color palette all the way, he has such ghost type energy he needs to be purple and none of these pcs have canon design but he is a black man in my mind and I have always drawn him as such. He might have glasses in canon but I don’t remember, I do remember him needing to have tired phd student vibes.

The 1920s fashion continue. Stella reminds me so much of Lilly from Sun and Moon if she was goth and I wanted to lean into that. Big modesty dress, hat, long hair, twin braids lots of purple. Livinia the diva needed to be in a flapper dress, there was no other choice. Dark reds were required to, just full on very elegant and sleek and in the fashion of the time. Mynt is the most off of the fashion, not by much but I thought it fit. Long hair, taller and chill.

This was both the hardest and the easiest one to do because they had canon designs but I also haven’t listened to this season. Debbie I knew was a roller derby girl but still seemed more on the modest side so I wanted pinks greens and also inspired by @lunarspaceartist cause I loved her design of Debbie. Chickenbone I just gave more metal 80s accessories for fun. His tattoo was a nightmare lmao. Mikhal was fun cause he reminded me of actual casual punk people I know irl, also pink mullet pink mullet pink mullet

Pokemon teams for alters #2

Well, as long as I’m on a Pokemon Scarlet/Violet kick, I might as well post this!

I came up with this shortly after finishing Scarlet. I don’t know if it counts as an AU or not seeing as it’s part of my personal Pokemon fanon, but it’s also not technically part of the game itself (at least not yet since we all know there’s gonna be DLC that sheds more light on Area Zero) so eh?

Anyway, meet the founding members of the Area Zero Research Team!

So, when I played the game, I was too fascinated by Area Zero to not return to it a bunch. I caught a ton of Paradox Pokemon and stuffs and I really liked the idea of the protagonist being all like “This place needs more research done on it. We can’t just let it fall to the wayside. I think there’s a way to right Professor Sada’s wrongs.”

Thus, I pictured them gathering up their buddies and working together to renovate the Research Stations and start working on studying the Paradox Pokemon. Since the Time Machine can’t work without Professor Sada’s AI, there’s no returning the Paradox mons to their home time period -- whether Paldea likes it or not, they’re here to stay. Florian also observes that the Paradoxes don’t seem naturally aggressive. They’re trapped in an unfamiliar place, so of course they’re getting mad and attacking everything they see. So Florian decides that the best thing to do is research the Paradox Pokemon and see if it’s truly possible to live with them in harmony.

I like to think they slowly but surely succeed at helping the Paradox Pokemon become more acclimated to the modern world.

Also, Mabosstiff is surprisingly hard to draw.

a/n: I was inspired by @reiignonme, and I just HAD to do this. I'm so excited to write it. Also, I do know that dragons are aggressive creatures, but to their bonded rider, they're different.

𝐁𝐀𝐋𝐄𝐑𝐈𝐎𝐍:

・The God of Dragons, is what his title should have been

・But to you, he wasn't the intimidating beast that everyone saw him as.

・To you he was a work of art, a creation so wonderous that your breath hitched whenever you saw him.

・You show your love to him by laying beside him, treating him with respect and dignity.

・You hate leaving him on his own, but you allow him his independence.

・Never in a million years would you put him in the Dragonpit, chained and waiting for you.

・And in turn, he shows you his love by fiercely protecting you. He will fly you anywhere, and calls whenever he's beckoned.

・Only obedient to you, he doesn't listen to anyone else but you. However, it's almost as if he's level-headed and can be reasoned with.

・The other dragons fall in line and let him lead - which means you're the leader as well.

・His roar is earth-shakingly loud. And it can be heard from miles away.

・All of your subjects bow to you, knowing your power.

・Because we know, that a dragonrider has the same traits as their dragon.

𝐌𝐄𝐑𝐀𝐗𝐄𝐒:

・Is quite the adventurous dragon; she isn't one to be paraded around like Silverwing or Dreamfyre. She rather dislikes large crowds, preferring mountainsides and flying over oceans. She doesn't like small spaces either.

・Bonding with Meraxes was like bonding with a Border Collie - always has energy and curiosity

・But unlike Quicksilver, Meraxes is less energetic in a comic sense. She's more mature; more battle-worn.

・Will protect you unrelentingly.

・Hates sudden loud noises

・But loves hearing how much you love her and how much of a good job she's done

・Her teeth are smaller than the other dragons, but more pointed/sharp and there's more of them

・Her roar is also more high pitch and of a scream

・Meraxes' scales are pearlescent and seem to move in the sunlight

・Not many people know that, because she doesn't like being approached by others.

・That's why she isn't kept in the dragonpit.

・But she isn't as aggressive as Vermithor or the Cannibal

・You can tell that she wants a mate though, and often tries to woo Balerion - but he wants none of it.

𝐕𝐇𝐀𝐆𝐀𝐑:

・She shows her love by waiting for you to sit on her saddle before taking off.

・You have to shout out the command to fly and then, she takes off.

・You have a very special bond with Vhagar, which clicked into place because you would spend more time looking after her than making her fly.

・For example, talking to her, brushing/washing her, stroking her face.

・For those who don't think dragons understand - you're wrong because they really do. That's why some riders have a bigger bond than others.

・Some just see their dragon as an animal, as a beast. But those that see them as apart of them, that's when the true bond clicks into place.

・And you knew that being pampered is everyone's dream - or just being doted upon. So, because you put in the hours for her, she does the same for you.

・She obeys your commands without question, because she trusts you.

・But she doesn't like anyone else touching her, in fact there's a few trainers with burnt hands because of Vhagar.

・She loves laying in the sun, and will fly you to a beach to lay in the sand. Often you're chastised by your family for bringing sand into the castle.

𝐐𝐔𝐈𝐂𝐊𝐒𝐈𝐋𝐕𝐄𝐑:

・LOVES TO FLY

・She's the type of dragon to be like, "let's go faster! let's go faaaaasteeeer!"

・Isn't as aggressive as others, but would rather be away from people if able.

・Hates being paraded around

・But will do it if persuaded with food and belly rubs (although most dragons don't like to expose their stomachs as it is one of their most vulnerable body parts)

・When you introduce her to a friend or acquaintance, she does a big roar and then huffs a laugh at the person's scared response

・One of the more docile dragons like Silverwing

・Has similar colouring to Meraxes, but unlike her, Quicksilver is smaller but nimbler.

・One of the fastest

・Can beat anyone in a race

・And she LOVES to race

・Has to be ridden everyday otherwise she goes hyperactive and will lash out at the trainers

・Once when you were bedridden for a week, she flicked a whole group of trainers with her tail and then let out the biggest flame she had ever expelled.

・Tail flick = I'm irritated, Roar = I'm hungry or is trying to scare someone for a laugh, Fire = she is actually angry, Baring her teeth = scared

𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐂𝐀𝐍𝐍𝐈𝐁𝐀𝐋:

・No one is allowed to approach him, hell no one is allowed to look at him.

・He's an incredibly aggressive and temperamental dragon. One that hates everyone but you.

・Completely black, he's known for eating other dragons - which makes him an outsider. No dragon, no matter how mighty, doesn't feel safe around him

・Even Balerion keeps his distance

・You weren't sure whether to keep his name or not, since you did have an emotional connection with him.

・But you guessed that he like being intimidating

・You have to feed him yourself or he will go hunting for dragons or sheep. Hasn't actually eaten a person, but has killed many.

・As he's your bonded dragon, people are a lot more intimidated by you. Since dragons and riders have somewhat similar traits.

・Although he does like showing you his den. He looks at you like, 'it's nice, isn't it. Did you see the bones I placed at the front? Yeah...it's to scare people off...'

・You see him differently than others see him. You aren't afraid of him. It's how you were able to bond with him in the first place.

・There was something in his eye that you thought was vulnerability, rather than hostility.

𝐕𝐄𝐑𝐌𝐈𝐓𝐇𝐎𝐑:

・His favourite form of physical touch is being scratched, like, really really scratched.

・Vermithor's back leg will wobble in absolute delight

・Especially when you get to those places where he cannot reach himself

・Doesn't like anyone but you doing it (or anyone but you being in the room when you do it)

・He's a very private & grumpy boi. Doesn't like being woken too early either. And likes to have an afternoon nap.

・And an angry/aggressive one too. He doesn't like being woken up early, and once you had to dodge out of his firing line. When he realised it was you, he made a really long upset face (that only you and his only other rider, Jaehaerys has seen)

・But he's incredibly loyal, and would die for you.

・What's important to you, is important to him (unless it's before 8am)

・Can sense when you're overwhelmed and will let out a huge roar so no one comes near

・Likes when you fall asleep with him. He may like his solitude, but he doesn't mind company (it depends on the company)

・Actually likes doing royal processions because he gets to show off how big and scary he is. He knows it's too remind the people of whose in charge.

𝐒𝐈𝐋𝐕𝐄𝐑𝐖𝐈𝐍𝐆:

・The least aggressive out of all the dragons (but that doesn't make her a formidable foe.)

・It's almost as if Silverwing understands that dragons keep people in line, but an approachable dragon keeps the respect and admiration of the people

・If she's patient and sociable with others, then you know damn well she has all the love, patience and affection for you.

・She shows her affection by nuzzling into your open palm, her eyes closed and you swear her lips are in the shape of a smile

・Wherever you are - standing alone, or in a crowd etc., she has her body wrapped around you; shielding you.

・And when you're alone together, she'll lay down and let you rest with her, and/or on her. Then, she'll fully wrap around you to help you warm up.

・She absolutely loves spending time with you. Funnily enough, she's a very outgoing dragon.

・She won't let you come into any harm though. Either because she herself has placated the people who could hurt you (the common people) by interacting with them calmly and gently.

・And if anyone tries to hurt you, she's the first to react. Although her temperament seems calm, she is highly protective of you and will burn someone to ash if they try to hurt you.

・When you're in King's Landing and the King demands that Silverwing be put in the Dragonpits, you sneak down to sleep with her. You have a very tight bond.

・Otherwise, she takes you somewhere else to sleep; amongst the grass, so you can fall asleep underneath the stars.

Torterra Facts

-The scientific name for Torterra is "Terrada Firma" which roughly translates to "Steadfast Land"

-Torterra are Testudines with their closest relatives being Blaistoise. They are both descendants of Caracosta

-Torterra are pokemon where both parents stay to raise their young. They often lay 5-10 Turtwig eggs at a time. Once hatched, they'll carry the young Turtwig around on their shells

-While most people are familiar with the standard/starter breed, which only has 1 tree, there are actually many different breeds of Torterra which can have different plants. My favorite breeds are the ones the resemble gardens

-A group of Torterra can be called either a forest or a garden

-They do very well with kids due to their patience, protective nature, and ability to empathize with others

-Torterra are very protective pokemon and have been known to adopt other pokemon, even if they're not the same species! They're also known to let other smaller pokemon live on their backs, and they go out of their way to defend defenseless pokemon. Because of their gentle, protective, and caring nature, many people use them as a way to help younger kids get used to larger and more scarier looking pokemon

-For centuries, Torterra's shell has inspired a lot of armor in Sinnoh

-Torterra are the only starter pokemon that are expected to live 100+ years, with some Torterra living up to 250 years! It's important for trainers to have a plan for their Torterra when they die

-Like Aggron, Torterra are known for purposely planting and gardening. Researchers aren't sure why, as they don't need to food. It could be that they are planting for other pokemon or that they just find the flowers pretty

-While Turtwig can swim, Grotle and Torterra cannot. Torterra can still hold their breath for a long time, and will sit at the bottom of small ponds to nap once in a while

-As Torterra age, their trees will fall, and their leaves will turn brown. By the time they fully die, their leaves are the color of autumn leaves

-Younger Torterra have more vibrant green colors

-There is a very old Sinnoh Legend that the world we live on is on the back of a sleeping Torterra

-When threatening another pokemon, Torterra will stomp, roar, and stand on their hind legs. While wild Torterra don't usually threaten humans (they'll either leave you alone, come up to check you out, or even act alp friendly to you), just walk away because they won't attack you if you get out of their way

“Ready?”

From across the field, Slater holds a Pokeball close to his chest. Steadying his cold breaths, he flashes a nervous smile to his partner- who now serves as his opponent, his teacher in the art of battle.

“Please be nice.”

“Don’t worry,”

His glasses shone under the summer sun, a hint of mischief in his tone. 

He knew Slater would get upset if he held back- and Slater, as much of a liar as he was, would poorly hide how a loss affected him, with flushed cheeks and a thinly-veiled lie.

Regardless of how this battle would end, Descante would get what he wanted- but, realistically, he felt that the battle would go in his favor.

“I’m very nice.”

“Scary.”

[ Battle! Vs. Slater ]

They sent out a pair of mirror images- Descante’s Tornadus against Slater’s own.

Through the mighty roars of the beasts and the howling beasts, it’s unknown to any spectator whose voice resounds.

“Knock off!”

“U-Turn!”

The same two commands are repeated twice for each trainer; and as soon as they appear, the soon they pivot out of the field.

Taking his Tornadus’ place, Slater’s Rotom whirls out of its Pokeball and into the battle, leaving a trail of static and droplets of water. 

“Washy! Hydro Pump!”

A swirl of sand forms around Descante as he calls out his next Pokemon. 

“Hippowdon! Stealth Rock!”

After one Hydro Pump follows another in quick succession- and Descante’s Hippowdon is out of commission.

He flicks his glasses, adjusting them to his face. “Wait- how do I,” He holds onto his headphones, still clinging on the side of his head. “How do I deal with Rotom-?”

“I don’t know!” Slater cries in a panic, holding his cardigan around himself in the midst of a sandstorm. “You picked this team for me!”

“Oh, I did,”

He grabs onto the next Pokeball in his belt, sending out his Stoutland, undeterred by the weather conditions.

“Washy, come back!”

“Stoutland, Return!”

“Bunny, go-!”

She doesn’t get a chance to Mega Evolve, either. Mimicking her trainer’s panic, Bunny is caught off guard as Stoutland rams into her, sending her flying and crashing against the walls.

Stoutland shakes its head from the impact, a silly little smile plastered on his face as the other Pokemon is recalled.

Descante is barely able to hold back an amused smirk. It was adorable to see both Slater and his Lopunny flustered. “Well, Doggy fell in love it seems. I would have too.”

“That’s not funny!” Slater squeaked out, cheeks flushed red as he sent Tornadus to the field. “I panicked!”

“You did. And it seems you’re still quite nervous,” 

Stoutland shakes off whatever lingering thoughts it had about Slater’s Lopunny, ramming into the legendary without much of an effort. Amusingly, it’s blown into the spot just next to where Bunny left a dent- this time leaving a hole.

“Lesson number one, angel- always keep your cool.”

Holding the side of his face with one hand and a Pokeball in the other, Slater murmured. “Easy for you to say. All this, and you still have time to be cool- mentally and physically."

“You flatter me.”

In his flustered state, he sends out a Pokemon befitting the situation. 

Magearna twirls into the field as the sandstorm subsides, its rabbit-like ears clicking like the antennae of a bug-Pokemon. Perhaps it was trying to calm its trainer.

“Stoutland, go.”

“Let’s, um,” Slater pats his own face, trying to steady himself. “Okay, let’s see where my luck takes me now. Um, Focus Blast-!”

It withstands the attack, pointed feed skidding through the soil and leaving a trail on the grass. 

Before Stoutland can retreat to its position, the cannon in front of its face fully charges- and Stoutland is blown away, just as it had with Slater’s other two Pokemon.

This does little to deter Descante- his angel, thankfully, was lucky. The last thing he wanted was a one-sided beatdown.

“Good, good,” He takes another Pokeball. “I suppose you can make up for inexperience with faith.”

“It’s all I have, you know.”

Tornadus is once again sent out on the field.

“Heat Wave!”

In a show of irony, Descante’s attack misses.

In the split second he was utterly dumbfounded by the comedic timing of it all, Slater pointed his finger at the Tornadus. “Dolly, Ice Beam!”

A thin laser of ice blows through the field, striking the heart of Tornadus.

He sees Slater smiling a little behind his sleeve-clad hand.

“..faith, huh?”

“That-” He adjusts his glasses again, trying to hide his own embarrassed expression with his hair. “That was a cruel joke.”

“Now that’s funny.”

A Beast Ball is sent out next- he had gotten Slater “acquainted” with the Ultra Beasts much earlier on, so as to not completely overwhelm him with their presence in their battle.

But perhaps, that was a mistake on Descante's part as well.

“Earthquake!”

He had expected the piercing rocks to instantly one-shot the automaton- but, holding onto a single glimmer of hope, Magearna persisted, its cannon ready once more.

“Volt Switch!”

With that, Slater takes down three of Descante’s Pokemon in a row- at the cost of Soul-Heart being reset.

Slater’s own Hippowdon emerges, setting up the Sandstorm once more.

“Remain focused,”

Was it to himself, or to Slater? It didn’t matter.

“I can still win.”

Toxapex takes the stage, a little creature many in Descante’s college were fond of, despite its cruelty to Corsola. 

“Stealth Rock!”

Predictable!

“Toxic! Then Scald!”

Toxapex hurls a purple pile of sludge at Hippowdon, immediately followed by a burst of boiling water. 

“Whirlwind!”

Finally, Descante’s last Pokemon was forcefully sent to the field. 

Another angel just like the one standing across the field, Nihilego.

Descante raises an eyebrow. 

“Sludge Wave.”

Resisted, as expected. But with the buildup of Toxic, and another Sludge Wave, Hippowdon would be no more- and both Nihilego and Toxapex could make do with the rest of Slater’s party.

That was the plan.

Until-

“Earthquake!”

Wait!

And unlike Slater’s Magearna, Nihilego faints in an instance, its body nearly shattering into a thousand pieces of glass.

Droplets of venom splatter on the field, nearly brushing against Descante’s cheek.

Wide-eyed and mouth agape, Descante could not help but raise his voice in wonder at the sight of Slater, who seemed to have realized something.

Victory was in his grasp.

“Your Hippowdon-” He sputters. “It runs Earthquake?”

“Um, yes-”

“Why?!”

“It-” Slater waves his hands around. “Um, I had a battle before, it was against a Clefable- long story short, she didn’t have any attacking moves and all Clefable did was stall, so-”

In the midst of his amazement, Toxapex returns to the field, his last Pokemon standing.

“Baneful Bunker.”

The next Earthquake that Slater hastily commands doesn’t hit.

He knew he was going to repeat that action- and by that next turn, Hippowdon would succumb to the effects of Toxic.

Still, he had three remaining, one of which was-

“Earthquake, your last one!"

“Recover!”

Hippowdon’s last hurrah barely left an impact. His Rotom once again appears, but just as Descante plans his next move-

“Volt Switch!”

“Toxic!”

“Dolly!”

Steel was immune to Toxic- but Magearna faints upon arrival, courtesy of the rocks Descante had set up earlier. Toxapex’s attack fails, and it whines over the feeling of leftover static dancing around its body.

Rotom appears once more, and after two turns of Baneful Bunker, another Volt Switch lands, to be followed by a Recover.

When Slater sends his last Pokemon, Descante couldn’t help but stare.

Big eyed and sweet like a tart apple, with two small wings fluttering on its back- Victini looked just like Slater as much as Lopunny and Magearna had; but Descante supposed that should have been obvious, given that he had themed Slater’s current party over Pokemon he would love.

And Pokemon that resembled him, but neither Slater nor NEO PRO needed to know that.

“Baneful Bun-”

The shimmering crystal in Victini’s hands glows, floating out of its hand and shining a heavenly light down upon it and its trainer.

The Z-Ring Slater had borrowed started to glow in tandem with the crystal, and, with a flustered expression, he strikes a pose.

“Z-Celebrate!”

Oh no.

The wrath of two angels descends upon him and his Toxapex as Slater’s finger, directed at the both of them, points downwards.

“Stored Power!”

…

Laying on the grass, covered in a mix of poison and sand, Slater fusses over Descante with an apologetic expression.

“I, ah-”

“You didn’t tell me.”

“I’m sorry, I had Hippowdon’s moveset changed a while back, please don’t be mad-”

“Angel, you didn’t tell me how much you improved!”

He’s caught off guard when Descante suddenly stands up, lifting him off the grass and twirling him around in an uncharacteristic public display of affection.

“Oof, Descante-”

“You were training so hard all this time-” 

Admittedly, he would have thrown the match if he was overwhelming Slater, but-

“-and it really paid off. I’m so proud of you.”

The other’s eyes lit up. “..you are?”

“Absolutely. I- you’re really good, you should train with me, and-”

He was cut off by the beeping of Slater’s Xtransceiver- a notification to remind him to prepare dinner.

“..let’s do that tomorrow,” Descante cuts himself off with a smile, rare and fond; something he reserved only for Slater. “How about we go out for dinner tonight? As a treat for you.”

Slater’s ears perked up at the sound of a reward.

“We can, ah,”

Slater immediately thinks of his options, barely able to conceal his excitement.

“Take the subway to Black City. A little further down there, we can eat at that seafood place in Undella I keep telling you about, if it’s okay?”

From behind him, the only Pokemon that wasn’t a rental, Bunny, chirps in agreement. Her fur slightly tousled, body still vibrating with the adrenaline from earlier-  she was exactly like Slater in every way.

Though Slater was the one getting rewarded, Descante found a prize of his own in that pleasant smile.

Anything for his angel- as long as he was happy, Descante was happy too, whether he won or loss didn't matter.

“Sounds good.”

To Another Abyss - Chapter 28: It's a long way to the promised land

(Chapters -which are usually between 500-1000 words- will be posted daily here first on Tumblr, and will later be posted in 7-8 chapter batches on AO3.)

Kanto has changed a lot in the past ten years. The League is no more, and trainers are now only tools for the rich and powerful, either mercenaries or dogs of the government.

Sabrina is the latter. She is to play the role of Gym leader in a sick, twisted mockery of the art she once admired, bearing the name of her childhood idol, a woman who is now wanted across the region. All for the entertainment of Kanto’s shadowy new rulers.

It’s a role she doesn’t mind playing. At least until an unusual challenger comes into her Gym, into the life she’s worked so hard to build, and begins to unravel it all.

Chapter 28 - It's a long way to the promised land:

Black eyes set alight with fury, the man with the cross screamed at the top of his lungs as he threw the man holding him from behind over his shoulders, instantly producing a knife from his sleeve and stabbing it into his liver the second as he slammed to the ground. Two others reached to grab him, Pokeballs in hand, but he dove forward and vaulted over the one he’d just stabbed, putting distance between them.

“Agh, they… they have my Pokeballs!” he roared as he stumbled back toward Sabrina’s side, eyes moving back and forth dizzyingly. Yet when he glanced over his shoulder, he noticed the girl had her eyes closed tight, as though concentrating on something. 

What followed was an eerily familiar chill, air thinning, compacting around them.

Come on… Just a little more…

To the man’s great surprise, a faint blue light surrounded their bodies, blurring them, making them fizzle in and out like a broken T.V. image. They were almost gone-

“Swift!”

A wave of golden energy stars slammed against the back of both trainers, pushing them violently against the nearest pillar and almost throwing Sabrina to the ground.

“Shit! I can’t… I can’t do it yet!” She cursed her weakness as she wiped the blood off her cheek, vision swimming, head pounding.

A familiar, chillingly cruel laugh echoed from behind them, almost too far back to hear properly.

“It’s already too late!” Azure bellowed, sounding positively ecstatic, like a child about to open a birthday present. “Do you see now, Sabrina? At the most critical moment, when it truly mattered, you doubted him! You chose to believe me! And now it’s too late, no matter what you do!”

“SHUT U-!!”

A massive figure slammed against the wall behind them, shattering it with ease and forming a huge hole beneath the body of the Pokemon that had been tossed. The man’s Arbok lay unconscious over a pile of rubble. And on the opposite side, Azure’s Nidoqueen cracked her knuckles, eyes fixed on the wounded Scyther before her.

Bursting with panic and adrenaline, Sabrina’s eyes went to the hole in the wall. It led to the Gym arena, and thus, the exit.

“Now!” she screamed, grabbing the man by the arm. “Let’s go!”

“Wait-no! Clay!”

Struggling against Sabrina’s pull, the man looked horrified over his shoulder at the Scyther who could barely dodge the barrage of fire from the Houndour as well as Nidoqueen’s punches. He was fast, faster than the eye could follow, but against so many of them…

“Shit!”

In their distraction, a pair of buzzing Beedril appeared in between them and the exit. Sabrina froze in place. She still had another Pokemon, but-

He didn’t think about it for a moment. In an inhuman burst of speed fueled by fear and loyalty alike, the Scyther cut a zig-zagging green path around his opponents and threw himself at the two Beedril, blocking their stingers with each of his scythes. His two new opponents threw themselves at him alongside the four behind, and yet somehow, miraculously, Clay managed to hold them off for a few moments, dancing between their attacks like smoke through one’s fingers.

“Let’s go!” Sabrina repeated, desperately dragging the man toward the exit. “Please!”

Tears forming in his eyes, the man with the cross finally stopped resisting. They took the first step over the rubble.

“Clay… CLAY! Please… Don’t die, partner!”

He took one last, painful look back; he would never see his Pokemon again.

And they started to run.

Nemona - A motorcycle fits her well I think. She’d have a side car for her friends because they mean a lot to her. Only Penny is small enough to fit.

Penny - If we are going only Cybertronian animals. Turbofox because they look the closest to an Eevee. But honestly, I think she should just straight up have an Eevee alt mode.

Arven - Just. An oven. A big, giant oven. Bake a cake in him. I dare you.

Hassel - A dragon. One, I think it’d be funny as hell. Two, Predaking from Prime is hot and so is Hassel. And also: It’d still fit well with his from an ancient dragon trainer family who ran away to do music backstory. Except he’s the dragon.

Brassius - Something small and not built for fighting I think… Maybe a flashdrive?? To store images of his art and art history. I think it’d fit with how he was sickly and sort of weak when he first met Hassel.

Katy - A little volkswagen beetle. I was gonna just do an insect alt mode. Like. A katydid. But I think the pun with a little bug car is infinitely funnier.

Kofu - A boat. That’s really it, bro is a boat.

Grusha - A snowmobile, one of those really fast ones but an accident has rendered his tcog beyond repair and he can no longer transform.

Ryme - A speaker, kind of self explanatory considering her music career.

Iono - A camcorder! She makes guests on her stream hold her whenever anything good is happening. Also won’t stop recording people in real time.

Tulip & Miriam - They’re both jets. It’s said in game by one of the NPCs that Miriam used to be a model before she became the Academy’s nurse and I like to imagine her and Tulip as former coworker/friends. So they’re both jets and former seekers LOL.

Larry - I have no proof that transformers can have office supplies as an alt mode but this man screams stapler.

Rika - A dirt bike! I was gonna go motorcycle because sleek and she would love to do tricks, but a dirt bike would be good for her Ground-typing speciality. She’s always covered in mud.

Poppy - A little armored car! It goes with her Steel-typing speciality.

Geeta - The champion gets to be a triple changer. Jet and car combo. She has to go fast to get to all the places she’s needed at.

Clavell & Jacq - Both are microscopes, Clavell’s is a stronger one though I think.

Salvatore - A sports car, sleek and cool for a sleek and cool guy. He’s not big for joy rides though.

Tyme - An SUV. Very strong, sturdy, and reliable!

Saguaro - A tank! I think it fits well with his students thinking he’s a big tough guy, when he’s really a total sweetheart.

Raifort - A drone perhaps… Maybe I just have Earthspark on the brain but it’s small and it’d make it easy for her to access hard to get to historical spots. Also Raifort seems like someone who eavesdrops LOL.

Turo - Something stupid and machine-y. Like a centrifuge.

Sada - Straight up a dinosaur… Thinking. Pterosaur?? Because Roaring Moon kind of looks like one. I know those aren’t dinos technically but whatevs.

Ortega - A car, but a pink one so he’s REALLY conspicuous. He’s the mechanic who built the star mobiles so I think it works.

Eri - A tank! Big and strong, though she prefers hand to hand combat and training rather than relying on her alt mode.

Mela - A flamethrower. Someone has to hold her, usually Eri.

Giacomo - A soundboard. His favorite sounds are “Bruh” and a fart noise. Another team star member who needs to be held.

Atticus - An arachnid, specifically a black widow. Not only does it help him make Team Star costumes with webbing, but also ties in with his Poison-type focus.

About Pocholo De Leon Gonzales

   He comes up on stage and amazes the crowd with the many voices he can make. He says something funny and has the entire audience roar with laughter. He shares his visions and words of inspiration and simply makes everyone blown away. Is there any other Filipino motivational speaker who can do all that in a single talk?

The Titan of Filipino voice acting. Veteran radio broadcaster. Internationally-awarded youth advocate. Award-winning author. Highly sought-after voice director, trainer and motivational speaker. Pocholo de Leon Gonzales is known as the “VoiceMaster of the Philippines” for having utilized his voice not only for the purpose of entertaining people, but more importantly for inspiring, motivating and empowering particularly the Filipino youth.

At the young age of 16, Pocholo started his voice acting career after winning a competition in DZMM’s drama and singing contest “Radyo, Radyo” where he later became one of the anchors, scriptwriter, and co-director. His voice has since then been used for thousands of anime characters, hundreds of local radio and television commercials, various children’s programs, films, dubbed foreign telenovelas, drama, TV shows, video games, and audiobooks. He has also done work for many TV and radio stations – both major and minor – as a reporter, broadcaster, host, voice-over, radio drama talent and voice director.

Pocholo aced his education as a BA Speech Communication graduate from the University of the Philippines, Diliman. He then took his MA in Broadcast Communication in the same school, all while he is making his name in the voice acting industry.

    Pocholo’s biggest accomplishment as a voice artist is being the voice of the greatest book ever written – the Holy Bible. Pocholo has been selected among dozens of voice artists to read the Filipino AudioBible produced by Biblica, the world’s largest distributor of the Bible in different languages around the world.

Pocholo believes that voice acting is an art that needs to be further developed. With his vision is to make the Philippines the center of voice-over excellence in Asia, he established Creativoices Productions in 2005, the premier voice-over company in the country today. Under his company, Pocholo built the first and only voice acting school in the country, the Philippine Center for Voice Acting. This school conducts voice acting workshops – more popularly known as “Voiceworx” – and opens the door for aspiring voice artists to get into the used-to-be exclusive industry of voice acting. For more than a decade, the school has produced more than 1,000 graduates and hundreds of voice artists, who now make up about 90% of talents that dominate the industry today – as voice actors, hosts, broadcasters, and even public speakers.

 Because of all his accomplishments as a voice artist, Pocholo became the only Filipino/Asian panelist in the 2012 VoiceOver International Creative Experience (VOICE) Convention held in Anaheim, California.

Being the “VoiceMaster of the Philippines,” Pocholo is by far the most acknowledged and recognized voice artist in the country. He has been featured in several television programs like “Balitang K,” “Matanglawin” and “Kabuhayang Swak na Swak” in ABS CBN, “I Juander” and “Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho” in GMA, “ShopTalk” and “Mukha” in ANC, “Tribe,” “Aprub” and “Taumbahay” in Net 25, “Sweet Life” in QTV, “Good Morning Boss” on PTV 4, “Medyo Late Night Show with Jojo A” on TV 5, and “Serbisyo All-Access” in CNN Philippines. He was also featured in both print and online publications like Speed Magazine, The Philippine Star, Manila Bulletin, Reach Knowledge Magazine, Rappler and Raket.ph. He was even featured in some radio programs of DZBB, Radyo Veritas, DWIZ, Radyo Singko, DZRJ, UNTV Radio, Pinas FM, DZRH, and DZMM.

Pocholo is the founder of Voice of the Youth Network (VOTY), an advocacy organization that aims to inform, inspire, involve and empower the Filipino youth through media and Information and Communications Technology (ICT). VOTY has over 20 radio programs all over the country, all of which are produced by the VoiceMaster. VOTY has become a venue for the young members of society to have a voice on issues that affect them and contribute to positive social change. Through VOTY, Pocholo has shared numerous opportunities to the youth to attend seminars and events that inform, inspire, involve and empower them.  

Pocholo has been honored locally and internationally for his contributions to empowering the Filipino Youth. In 2003, he was awarded as a District Winner in the 2nd Quezon City Youth Achiever’s Awards and also received the 2nd YouthActionNet Award given by the International Youth Foundation in Washington DC in the same year. He also received the Global Youth in Action Award in New York City in 2004. In 2014, the International Youth Assembly and Youth Federation for World Peace awarded him as a Youth Ambassador for Peace together with one of the country’s most famous actors and a fellow youth advocate, Dingdong Dantes. Pocholo is also one of the finalists of Asia CEO Awards for the Young Leader of the Year in 2014, and a nominee for the 2014 The Outstanding Young Men Awards. He has been awarded as a one of the 2015 Ten Outstanding Movers of the Philippines Awards by SAVE ME Movement.

As a veteran voice artist, Pocholo understands the importance of voice, not only for his craft but also for “professional voice users” – people whose livelihoods rely mainly on their voice. This is why he founded Voice Care Philippines, a non-profit organization that aims to teach professional voice users how to take care of their voice, and to use voice acting techniques for effective speaking. Aside from doing motivational talks in schools and universities for students, Pocholo has also traveled around the country to impart this knowledge through the Voice Care for Teachers program.

Pocholo also spreads his advocacies for the youth through his motivational talks. Being recognized as a truly inspiring and highly sought-after Filipino motivational speaker, he has been invited to take on the podium in more than 1000 schools and universities, as well as in various organizations and events here and abroad. He shares his knowledge and expertise in Voice Acting, Communication, Personal Branding, Guerilla Marketing, and Youth Empowerment and Development.

There is never a dull moment when the VoiceMaster speaks. Whether he’s speaking to a group of a dozen students or to a crowd of 20,000 – be it an assembly of students or corporate professionals – Pocholo never ceases to captivate the audience with his voice.   In May 2015, Pocholo has been chosen to be one of the delegates – and one of the youngest participants – to the Advanced Leadership Training of Haggai Institute in Maui, Hawaii. Students of the Advanced Leadership Training come from almost every profession from every Christian tradition. Only established leaders in their own fields are qualified to apply for the training, after a rigorous screening process of more than 8000 applications from all over the world. Through this training, Pocholo has been able to take his advocacy of empowering his fellow Filipinos to the next level, not only by spreading the Gospel, but more importantly by setting an example of how to live life as a divine spark of God.

In 2016, Pocholo launches Pochology Academy, a consortium of trainers and motivational speakers that teaches various life skills in the form of workshops, seminars and teambuilding programs. Negosyo Kabataan – a network of aspiring and existing young Filipino entrepreneurs whose mission is to ignite the Filipino youth’s entrepreneurial mindset, not only by getting them to go into business but more importantly, by discovering their skills and passion that would become the basis for their own enterprise. The network was established to support the Youth Entrepreneurship Act (R.A. 10679).

 Pocholo is an advocate of Youth Entrepreneurship, and has served as one of Go Negosyo’s Angelpreneurs since winning their Most Inspiring Bataeno Microentrepreneur Award in 2009. He has been invited to speak in various Youth Entrepreneurship conferences, including Department of Trade and Industry’s Youth Entrepreneurship Summit in Cagayan de Oro in November 2016, the National Youth Business Convention in January 2017, and the ASEAN Young Entrepreneurs Challenge in National University of Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur in April 2017. Pocholo is also a speaker in DTI and Go Negosyo’s Kapatid Mentor Me Program, and a mentor on Go Negosyo’s Mentor on Wheels.

 Pocholo is the author of 2 books. His first book, “Voice Care for Teachers” is the written version of his Voice Care for Teachers workshop that provides tools and techniques to efficiently and effectively use the voice in teaching, and gives 21st century teaching strategies that engages 21st century students and also help preserve the voice. In September 2016, he released his second book, “Gusto Kong Maging Voice Talent,” that gives aspiring voice artists a roadmap to build a successful career in the voice acting industry. It is the first-ever voice acting book in the Philippines that Pocholo has written in celebration of his 20th year in voice acting. “Gusto Kong Maging Voice Talent” was awarded “Best Book on Professions” in the 36th National Book Awards.

Pocholo also contributed a chapter about dubbing and localization to the sixth edition of the Bible of voiceovers, “The Art of Voice Acting” written by James Alburger, published in March 2019.

Bio:

Hojin was the 2nd born in his family. His sister was 1st and her words upon seeing him as a baby was “I’m cuter.”

At times he felt neglected given that his sister was getting more attention that him. Hojin tried to not have resent towards her, but she could be bossy at times

Things got easier when he was older since he could stick up for himself. Hojin and may have been tough on each other, but they were tougher on anyone who messed with them.

Hojin would pass the time watching action movies, he had the boyhood dream of being a martial arts star. Fighting for honor (and secretly love)

Eventually he begged his parents to let him take lessons and after throwing a “Dragon fit” he got his way. However not be outdone his mother signed him up for ballet “to keep his cool.”

Hojin suffered through ballet so he could participate in his favored activity, martial arts (TaeKwonDo and Kumdo). Besides the tights and boring music ballet did help with his balance and he got be around cute girls.

With adolescence comes choices and Hojin picked martial arts over ballet. He didn’t have the body for it even if the skill was there. Plus he was tired of getting teased for it. With the extra free time the young boy devoted more time to developing his physical skills to the point he was serious threat contender in tournaments.

Hojin picked up basketball around his mid-teens because it fought off boredom AND if you were playing basketball that meant less time going to cram school…or doing homework.

During his last to years of high school Hojin played on the basketball team with them becoming regional champions. The team was never got any higher than that. Maybe it was because other kids had better equipment and the best coaches but his team had a lot of spirit.

Hojin managed to earn his 2nd Dan in Taekwondo and Kumdo and much to everyone surprise he was “taking a break” from both after graduating high school.

With his father having a high rank in the military it was no question that Hojin would spend at least some time in the service. While most would think it would be an easy ride for the young man reality proved to be a very difficult task.

Hojin mistakes and shortcomings where always compared to the almost God-like qualities of his father. He grit his teeth long enough to be promoted to corporal then was discharged.

One expectation after another the young man went off to college unsure about his major. His mother hoped he would picked a good major like math or medical but Hojin decided on sports science and business.

To ease his mother’s fiery (and to make up for his rank in the military) he promised to get his masters.

Hojin graduated and worked for a consultant firm long enough to understand the industry then switched to freelance. work plus he wanted more time to play ball.

Special Abilities:

Were-Panther - Hojin's father is a werepanther who can fully transform and access all his powers. His sister is rumored to do so as well but he never seen it himself. Hojin can't transform into a panther but has peak balance and strength. He can produce a roar that stuns others to freeze. He has above average hearing.

Jack AKA Jackie, the pangoro (male♂)

Move set: Bulk Up, Arm Thrust, Dark Pulse, Hammer Arm, Giga Impact, Hidden Power, Karate Chop, leer, Retaliate, Swords Dance

Ability: Scrappy

Jack, more affectionately called Jackie was a mischievous little panchan who loved to play pranks on anyone he met on the streets;

After another day of pulling pranks and using his cuteness to get food he was returning to the public playground where he lived with other pokémon and bringing some food;

But when he got there he saw a group of delinquents making a mess and scaring some pokémon that were in the crossfire;

Even before doing anything the panchan saw the leader of the delinquents being hit with a drop kick in the face and the person who had hit the guy was a very irritated Kelly;

The girl was even on fire with rage being a person who hates cowardice and with that those delinquents took a beating from Kelly Johntonian karate style;

Seeing Kelly's mastery of martial arts, the panchan can't help but admire the Pokémon trainer;

He then approached her without hesitation and looked at her with such admiration or even tried to imitate karate moves;

Kelly played a little with him, but had to say goodbye because she had an appointment at the lab;

But the panchan didn't let that happen, he wanted to become strong and cool like Kelly so he just jumped and hit one of the Poké Balls on her belt;

It was a vacant pokéball and then the capture system was activated and the panchan let itself be captured;

Honestly, Kelly has had encounters or peculiar ways of catching pokémon, but this one was on another level;

Kelly just wasn't going to release the pokémon if it wanted to go with her so much on her journey, so she just giggled awkwardly and welcomed the panchan;

Let's say that Kelly indulged panchan by letting him watch movies and action shows with martial arts, but the two's favorite was an actor and trainer specializing in fighting type and his name was Jack; So Kelly couldn't help but start calling Panchan Jack, but exactly “Jackie” in an affectionate way;

It was once an active Pokémon as a fighter and participating in pokémon leagues and other tournaments, but that changed when Kelly's biological mother had a hysterical attack and tried to attack her with a knife while the woman's Pokémon distracted the bodyguards;

Wanting to protect Kelly, Jack had evolved and his roaring booming voice echoed surprising everyone and just staring at the hysterical woman made her surrender;

No real damage was done other than a superficial cut on Kelly's left arm and property damage;

Nowadays as Pangoro, Jackie is a bodyguard pokémon like Persephone;

He's on hand both on the streets when Kelly is doing her pop idol routine and at home helping them with the heavy lifting, especially Isabel with the gardening as Jack can seem tough and intimidating, but he's a softie.

Juan, the inteleon (male♂)

Juan was a small sobble that was abandoned by its trainer who was from Galar and who was exploring Kalos;

The reason was that sobble was shy and afraid of battle and constantly cried;

The trainer also didn't want to deal with a weak cry baby pokémon and always thought how infamous the cry with the effect of a hundred chopped onions was annoying;

The poor little one was tied to a tree and left behind;

A few days had passed and he was increasingly weak because he could not feed himself and could only satisfy his hunger with water from a puddle;

In a storm he was scared, but he was weak and practically given up on surviving;

When he was about to pass out he heard a gentle voice sounding worried and felt something warm enveloping him;

It was hours later that he woke up in a treatment incubator with Nurse Joy keeping a close eye on his health;

She was happy to see that the pokémon woke up and asked one of the wigglytuff to get medicine and some pokémon food;

After being treated and when everything was fine, Nurse Joy let Kelly visit him because even though he wasn't her pokémon she was very worried about the little one;

It was then that he saw his savior, with Seiji the Samurott and Alecia at that time still a froakie perched on her shoulder and she looked so happy to see him well;

Obviously he was still scared of everything and it was then that Kelly, feeling the sobble anxiety, asked Nurse Joy if she could try to pick him up;

Having permission, she extended her hand so that the pokémon took the initiative to approach;

The little one was hesitant, but then Alecia caught the other water type's attention and nodded as if to say to trust her trainer;

Calmly he approached letting Kelly take him in her arms and rock him in a warm hug while she scratched his head affectionately;

Not holding back, she started humming a very common lullaby in johtonian and which her mother always sang to her;

Her voice was so melodic and gentle that it made him feel so safe, it was so different from his old trainer;

Falling asleep in Kelly's arms, Nurse Joy said he was in good enough shape to sleep with the young trainer as he might be scared not to see Kelly around;

Nurse Joy commented that the conditions in which he was abandoned can cause trauma, such as anxiety and fear of being abandoned again and that would not be healthy considering he was still recovering;

Kelly agreed and, thanking the advice, went back to her room at the pokémon center, leaving Alecia and Sobble in bed while she got ready to sleep;

She then snuggled into bed with Alecia and sobble each other on the side of her head while Seiji settled into his trainer's arms who held him like a plushie;

In the middle of the night Kelly woke up to see Sobble crying and shaking in his sleep, looking like he was having nightmares;

She then reached out to bring him closer before starting to hum a few notes to help him calm down and it worked;

Unconsciously he snuggled even closer to her and seeing that everything was fine Kelly went back to sleep;

In the morning Kelly took him out to eat before bring him back to Nurse Joy so he was going through another few tests to see how he was doing;

Once he was in full health Kelly invited him to join her and her team on their journey in Kalos and he happily said yes;

Given the name Juan, Kelly never forced him into battle as it was the same with Alecia who had virtually zero interest in battles;

Not unlike little Froakie, Juan spent most of his time with Kelly enjoying music and he particularly enjoyed when she played the piano on cafés;

As with Alecia, Kelly offered to teach him even though it was difficult given his size so he would often duet with his trainer;

But there were still precious moments between the two and both Alecia and Seiji and the other pokémon that Kelly caught in Kalos also appreciated and encouraged him;

Before they knew it Juan had progressed a lot and such was the happiness that evolved in Drizzile, despite the apathetic appearance he always had more than enough excitement to play the piano and he simply loved it;

Since Alecia and Juan evolved into frogadier and drizzile respectively they are very close due to their bond with Kelly based on music and before they knew it they became a lovely couple with their trainer being super supportive and cheering for them;

When Kelly managed to make her career as a singer and pop idol prosper, Juan became the pianist of the band, loving being able to be in front of huge audiences doing what he likes most alongside his trainer and companions in addition to his beloved Alecia.

He can be a little jealous by the way, but Alecia thinks that's cute and funny when Juan glares at other pokémon as a warning to back off before things get ugly;

(Especially the Rillaboom of a certain Galar's champion…)

Margaret the [white] florges (female♀)

Move set: Moonblast, Synthesis, Aromatherapy, Wish, Dazzling Gleam, Light Screen, Toxic, Vine Whip, Petal Dance, Grassy Terrain

Ability: Flower Veil

Margaret was a white-flowered Flabébé that Kelly captured for her mother as a birthday present;

At the time Isabel had already suffered the accident she was a little depressed for retiring so early from the job she loved so much;

Kelly knew that one of her mother's hobbies was gardening, being one of the few that she could do without having difficulties because of the sequels and then something came to her mind;

She then scheduled a few days to go to the Kalos region after asking for help from one of her cousins who would be visiting Unova to take care of Isabel and letting her cousin know about the plan;

When her cousin agreed, Kelly prepared everything and took advantage of the fact that there was a unique educational event in Kalos, using it as an excuse;

Flabébé are not very rare pokémon, except depending on the color of the flower and for some reason Kelly was having trouble finding a single flabébé;

Despite the difficulties and it took almost a week to get a flabébé, her efforts were rewarded with a white-flowered one;

Kelly immediately booked a flight to Unova and was back in time for her mother's birthday, giving her mother her new friend;

Isabel was moved by her daughter's act of affection and would try to match the expectatives, she may not be able to work what she loved to do, but she could still live many moments like this with the one she loves;

Legally Margaret is Kelly's pokémon, but she became a companion and emotional support for Isabel along with Rin the Goldeen and Haru the Starmie, being able to enjoy good times like that.

Anahí, the [polar pattern] vivillon (female♀)

Dulce, the [tundra pattern] vivillon (female♀)

Maite, the [marine pattern] vivillon (female♀)

The vivillon trio were Pokémon rescued from smugglers and were under the care of the professor who was in charge of Lumiose's lab before Sycamore took over;

One of Kelly's cousins was interning under that professor's tutelage and seeing how difficult it was to get the vivillon to trust them, he remembered her empath skills that made her a human magnet for pokémon;

Said and done, Kelly received the invitation to help in the lab and little by little she can help the vivillon to feel more secure;

Well, only when she was around and they always perched on her never approaching the interns or the Professor;

Seeing how well she got along with the vivillon and how the trio adored her, she was asked if she wanted to become the trainer of the vivillon trio;

As long she was fine with the three Pokemon in question she was willing to accept and that's what happened.

Alecia, the [sniny] greninja (female♀)

Move set: Aerial Ace, Low Kick, Rock Slide, Ice Beam, Gunk Shot, Taunt, Toxic Spikes, Double Team, Shadow Sneak, Water Shuriken

Ability: Protein

Alecia's early life was somewhat hard;

As a Froakie, she was hatched from an egg and initially lived her life alongside other Froakies in a lake.

While others of her kind spent their time playing and dancing, she spent most of her time away from others in her own world enjoying using sticks and rocks as instruments.

She practically didn't interact with the rest of the pack and let's say some of them thought she was weird;

Due to this, when the group decided to migrate to a new location, they abandoned it and then it was attacked by other pokémon;

A Nurse Joy healed Froakie and gave it to Professor Sycamore to be given as a starter Pokémon.

But she didn't have much interest in pokemon battles, so she didn't listened a thing of her trainers.

As a result, Froakie went through several trainers, always returning to the lab after leaving them or being returned for being disobedient.

But that changed when Kelly came to the lab to answer a request for help to take care of the vivillon trio that had been rescued from smugglers;

Kelly worked to gain the trust of the three pokémon using music and once the little froakie witnessed the young girl playing the drums with such mastery and engaging rhythm that all the pokémon in the lab gathered to enjoy the little show;

Even she readily walked over and joined in as she perched on Kelly's lap who giggled in delight;

After the presentation, Kelly noticed how the frokie was looking at the instrument with fascination;

That little frog pokémon was very interested in the instrument and Kelly, thinking how cute was the froakie reactin, began to explain what it was and the parts that formed the drum set;

Even letting the little froakie play a few songs or letting her drum randomly;

When Kelly asked if she wanted to teach her and the trainer could see the twinkle in the little one's eyes;

The rhythm was a little awkward as she taught the frog pokémon or did little practice duets, but the two had fun and Kelly even ventured to sing a few snippets of songs;

But unfortunately all that is good never lasts, the vivillon trio began to trust Kelly and became attached to her so her role ended as soon as she made the three pokémon part of her team together with the mischievous Jackie the panchan in addition to her faithful partner Seiji the Samurott;

When she was about to leave she was surprised with the little froakie jumping on top of her and clinging tightly;

The professor had already see that coming so she said that Kelly could take that froakie with her and would give her the froakie's Poké Ball if she agreed to be the little one's trainer;

Not denying Kelly that she became attached to froakie and loving the moments they had fun playing drums together she agreed naming Alecia who was a drummer and guitarist with a famous channel on PokéTube;

Whenever she could Kelly taught her what she knew about music and how to play instruments, but definitely drums were Alecia's favorite;

Alecia evolved because of Kelly's immense friendship and love, which was always let her do what she liked best, in this case, having fun playing instruments;

Alecia since evolving into a frogadier is a bit of a tomboy, but totally hates the bullshit that there are things for boys and girls can do and sometimes she's been stopped by her trainer from sending some idiot flying with a Low Kick;

But when someone says something like that to Kelly, better run or they'll be hit with Gunk Shot or Water Shuriken;

When Kelly's career as a pop idol and singer took off, Alecia obviously became the drummer in her trainer's Pokéband;

While not a combatant Alecia is still a formidable opponent, she can be quite competitive especially when it comes to drumming skills that would gave any Rillaboom a run for their berries;

Alecia sometimes has to deal with her own portion of fans, some pokémon who have a crush on her because she's just exuberant on stage and playing the drums;

But she can't help on thinking how funny and cute is when Juan the Inteleon who is her mate just glares at them as a warning to back off before things get ugly;

Other than that Alecia doesn't usually clash with others, unless it's really necessary…

Like one of Kelly's ex-boyfriends who never wanted a serious relationship and made her trainer just a play thing.

Sasha (female♀), Marley(male♂) and Michael(male♂), the slurpuff trio

Sasha's Move set: Belly Drum, Play Rough, Return, Drain Punch, Attract, Dazzling Gleam, Lick, Leer, Psychic, Energy Ball

Marley's Move set: Belly Drum, Play Rough, Return, Drain Punch, String Shot, Hidden Power, Lick, Leer, Psychic, Energy Ball

Ability: Unburden

Michael's Move set: Copycat, Flame Thrower, Cotton Guard, Cotton Spore, string Shot, Hidden Power, Lick, Leer, Psychic, Energy Ball

Ability: Sweet Veil

Sasha, Marley and Micheal are the slurpuff trio of the Gonçalves family, Sasha and Marley are normal slurpuffs and Michael the shiny version of their species;

They are nurse pokémon for people with diabetes or eating disorders or other illnesses that cause malabsorption of nutrients;

Long before Kelly's fame, Isabel got them in a government program between Kalos and Unova as an initiative to care for and prevent or mitigate the impacts of diseases like this;

Kelly is anemic, but her family has a history of hereditary diabetes and even the young trainer could develop the disease;

Michael is one of the only Pokémon that remained in Isabel's custody after the incident precisely for medical reasons;

Marley is Isabel's parents' nurse pokémon while Sasha is Kelly's;

Sasha, Michael and Marley are of great help in monitoring the health of Kelly, Isabel and the idol's grandparents;

Even though they are not combat pokémon, the trio can be a nightmare when it comes to defending the Gonçalves family.

Hey kids.  Are you struggling to clear the special CS?  Grass types just not cutting it?  Well I've got great news!  Stall meta is back, and that means there's an easier way!  Follow me, and I'll show you all about how to stall like a champion.

General Overview Stall, as a format, has been gone a while.  So I imagine there are plenty of players who aren't as familiar with the art.  For those unaware, the emphasis is usually on Toxic/Trap for passive damage, healing through Potions and/or Synchro Healing/Recuperation.  The parameters for success are:

Physical/Special Shield Def +1 Def +3 HP +2 Physical/Special Damage Reduction Crit Defense Def +5 Can't change weather, terrain, zone HP +4 Move Gauge -2 HP +6 Standard Damage Reduction HP +8

These parameters provide exactly 2500 points.  A clear against every stage with Stall parameters will get you all rewards, without having to engage with your Grass-type damage dealers at all.  Provided your main tanks are at 3/5 and have full grid access, this is completely manageable.  Ideally, eggmons are also up to 4*, though I think 3* would be safe for most as well.  Everyone should be equipped with Vigilance, although you can get away with typical damage dealers like Koga, Ghetsis, and Lodge Lillie having Crit Strike 2.  That said, Stall is able to be disrupted.  Really badly, actually.  And three of these fights have answers to Stall.  I'll be going over the threats of each stage, why I chose each team, and whether this was a smart move, because...not all of them were.  I could've played this better.

Vs. Bertha (BP Morty/Tech Nidoqueen/BP Erika) Bertha goes first, because she's almost entirely physical, so Reflect at start helps.  Sandstorm damage can be threatening to your stall team, if you can't apply rapid recovery, so I chose BP Morty's team.  Morty's grid should emphasize MPR on Potion, trainer move, and Synchro Healing.  You will lose First Aid 4, but he can manage; the team healing is more important because Bertha's team knows Bulldoze.  BP Erika has Toxic/Trap, while Nidoqueen debuffs with Venom Drench.  Erika's rotation is Toxic center, Toxic right, Trap Center, Toxic Left, Trap Left/Right, Trap the Other, spam Infestation on center to ensure it's reapplied.  My mistake here was type matchup.  Nidoqueen is weak to Ground, and while this is ultimately negligible because Nidoqueen does not need to persist past hitting -6 after first sync, it's painful.  Bertha also spammed Bite a lot, which is really bad for Morty, who is Dark-weak.  That said, no deaths, clean win.

Vs. Lorelei (Leaf, Tech Golbat, Viola) Lorelei has to go second, for boosted passive damage.  Lorelei will apply Gradual Healing, which is a massive problem for Stall teams to handle.  It's legitimately the worst counter this stadium has.  I went with Leaf Team because Viola's special attack debuffs work best here.  Unfortunately, I forgot Golbat is weak to Ice.  Oops.  Anyway, Leaf wants to grid Recuperation and her Potion MPRs, but avoids Staggering.  Flinching center is a good way to take more sync hits than you want.  Recuperation allows Leaf to focus her Potion healing on allies (Golbat).  Viola is a strong secondary tank with First Aid 4 if needed, but isn't needed to go beyond 1/5.  Golbat can drop after applying the Toxic, it's not critical for it to survive, but we did clear no deaths.

Vs. Bruno (BP Janine, Ghetsis, Tech Sandslash) Initially, I wanted to use my Jasmine/SS Leaf/Wallace team, but because not everyone has SS Leaf, I decided to go a bit more F2P aligned.  I wanted to run Liza, but she skews too far into Special, and it wouldn't work out.  That said.  Might have been better off.  BP Janine has Recuperation and the ability to buff evasion.  Sandslash has Trap, and lowers accuracy.  I had expected this to go well, since Bruno has quite a few inaccurate moves.  Anything that got through, well, Ghetsis has Noble Roar Double Drop, so we shouldn't take much, right?  He hit like every attack, boosts his crit so Ghetsis is in danger, and worst of all, has Full Heal.  This will cure your first application of Toxic.  Which means, I really should've used someone consistent here.  I was a fool.  Janine almost lost.  We did wind up winning, but when I say "barely," I mean one more attack connecting from the sides would've finished the job.  This was...risky, and not in a fun way.  I feel like it needs better compression, but mostly I just don't think BP Janine is good at stall.  The comedy is that the heavy emphasis on AoE attacks did in the allies long before Janine was threatening.  Which...sure.

Vs. Grimsley (BP Clemont/Lucy/Janine) Few things are as devastating to stall as the "half sync countdown" parameter.  They knew what they were doing.  Grimsley's scary just because of Snarl AoE and boosted crit, but a full Vigilance team isn't threatened at all.  BP Clemont Team took the field, because Clemont is unbreakable.  Half sync countdown usually means eating a whole extra sync, which can be scary, but Clemont can grid Synchro Healing, First Aid, and MPR on his trainer move to cap defenses, while also getting natural Endurance.  I thought about using him against Bruno, but my initial run had Bruno spamming Bulldoze and speed debuffs, which wouldn't work.  Clemont's weak to Ground, and speed drops murder his access to Synchro Healing.  So, Grimsley it was, and thankfully he had a much easier time of life.  No deaths, clean win.  Grimsley's pretty easy to stall.

Vs. Champion Serena (Lodge Dawn, Lodge Lillie, Koga) Serena's natural parameter is that debuffs are stronger, which is supposed to tie into her debuffing your special attack.  Unfortunately for her, two can play at that game.  Lodge Dawn team, it is time.  We took the extra parameter for bonus passive damage, because of course we did.  Lodge Dawn has this wonderful thing, where she buffs both defenses when gridded with Shielded, and gets Evasive Rush, alongside her special attack debuffs.  Dawn is an ideal.  Lillie supplies trap, attack debuffs, and Synchro Healing, being the best little stall bot around.  The general plan is Dawn takes sync if HP isn't a concern to boost her evasion, while Lillie takes sync when HP starts getting close to the yellow to heal up.  I didn't get any AoE off of Serena, so your sides are safe; Dawn's evasion is sufficient.  Koga is a bit inconsistent on Toxic, but this is a fair stage to be a bit late on, given how hard the others counter her.  This was...free.  Dawn has absolutely no trouble against this stage.  At no point did she ever feel remotely threatened.  We almost ended at full HP.  The team is that good.  "Okay, but...why is Lodge Dawn EX'd?"  It's a special surprise for later this month.  Don't worry about it.

Final Thoughts The structure of Stall is such that it can, in fact, clear these stages no problem.  That being said, I do think they are aware that Stall is back, and attempted to set up roadblocks.  Bruno's Full Heal really slows down progress.  Lorelei's gradual healing is a massive problem if you don't have consistent healing or good MPR luck.  Bertha's Sandstorm is a major problem if you don't have aggressive healing.  Grimsley and Serena were pretty free, though.

The main thing I keep in mind is, one day they will release Electric-weak Lorelei into this.  One day we will face Sync Cure.  And on that day, Stall will falter in this mode.  But the purpose of a pure Stall clear is to showcase that it can be done at all.  More importantly, that if any particular stage is tripping you up, stall works reliably now.  It's frankly easier than it has been in almost two years to get full rewards.  Which...probably means the 3k meta isn't too far off.  I hate to think like that, but especially with the Special CS thing being a draw for pulling on new sync pairs, I imagine they'll want to limit Stall.  I expect there to always be a half timer to sync parameter.  I expect stuff like Sync Cure.  I expect that the bonus passive damage condition won't be around much.  I expect counters like Impervious to block offense debuffs, heavy field effect use to power through defenses, more Gradual Healing, etc.  There will be anti-Stall tools.  I'm certain of it.  But for now, it's possible.  Stall's in business, baby.
