COME ONE! COME ALL! TO THE MIDNIGHT PARADE!

In Saffron City, Halloween time is a big deal! Ghost Pokemon activity picks up, and the only way to escape alive is to show them a good time! The midnight parade is a week long, Halloween themed dash event for the Pokemon RPC with several major events planned- Namely a masquerade ball, a rave/edm dance, costume judging (For IC prizes), pumpkin carvings, cookie decorating, scavenger hunts and so much more! The party begins the morning of October 15th, and runs until the evening of October 22nd!

I binged Netflix's The Fall of the House of Usher on its release day (highly recommend the show!!) and was inspired to draw a second Halloween costume for Kita. Something that's a little more appropriate for a masquerade.

Don't worry, there will not be any plague outbreak or acid shower :)

It seemed the party wouldn't be ending, Green and Red having taken their leave an hour or so after defeating their respective counterparts in a proper battle. The champions chest had still thwacked against his rib cage with adrenaline, earning Red a smiley and giggly demeanor for the rest of the evening.

The moon still stood high besides the stars, celestial bodies doing their own respective twinkling as time progressed.

It was time to head home though, Red and Green walking down the hallway to their hotel room. Along the way, he'd already begun to move the extra bells and whistles of his costume, gloves tucked between his belt and mask in one hand.

"...You have the keycard for the door, right?" Red whispers, smiling at his friend as they approach the door to their temporary home.

Yellow smiles, offering a hand for Red to take if he chooses to. After all, what better first dance to have than one with a friend?

Ready to Party !

Green's Midnight Rave Outfit. His shirt is very thin, and he's wearing one of those very tight leather pants (vegan!!) that squeak when he walks. Maybe it's not the most comfortable for battling, but hell's be damned if he doesn't look handsome at all times! Alternative version under cut!

Morgan showed up to the party wearing a Ceruledge costume. She had modified a standard bikers helmet and painted it the correct color, leaving herself room for her red ponytail to flow out the back, as opposed to having a flame of some kind. The costume itself was skin tight, revealing her body shape without being exposed. And of course, all the pointy bits were foam and spongey to avoid hurting others. She had never been on a party like this on a ship, but the vibe was just right.

Morgan did, however, forget herself and began to explore. She wanted to poke around, to observe the infrastructure of the ship, and if she was lucky be able to see the engine room. In her endeavor, she was met face to face with an Alakazam who scared her. Before she could even question what the confrontation was about, she was teleported back to the dance floor. And Morgan was quickly annoyed.

"Really, dude? Really? A girl can't admire the ship she's on? What a load of-" And then a thought occurred to her. She's not working right now. She wasn't hired as staff this time around, she doesn't get special permissions here. Tonight, she's just a normal party goer. Now she's kind of embarrassed and hoped no one knows why she was teleported. She did her best to play it off when she saw someone raising an eyebrow at her. She shrugged, winked with a smile and said to them "I like to make an entrance."

She proceeded to rejoin the party, dancing with strangers for a while.

Valerie's costume for the @saffronmidnightparade. Taking inspiration from her favorite dragon, she has merged a hydreigon with a vampire.

@redlegend replied: He whistles in a playful catcall, raising a toast of a club soda he got from the hypno bartender from across the room.

That gets him to laugh and tear himself away from the group he's gathered with, all but drifting through the crowd to be beside Red. It seems some kind of drama's happening at the other side of the dancefloor, judging by the noise.

"This is one hell of a party. How come I've never seen this DJ Nightshade before?"

She's watching the people from the drink table, snorting and amused because of the ectoplasm shenanigans.

"...Why the hell did I pick this dress, my shoulders are cold now- Shit." She mumbles with a faint laugh, quietly wondering if that ugly burn scar on her shoulder was making people avoid her.

THE FINAL STRIKE

LETS HEAR YOUR WAR CRY!!

With everyones combined efforts, all attacks collide around the same time, the Gourgeist screeching so loud it echoes across the city, explosions seeming to rock its body as the Dynamax form collapses, and the Gourgeist is reduced to its original- Extra tiny state, clutching what is obviously a wishing star in its hands.

A mass of pokeballs fly out of the blue, but only one actually connects, that belonging to Caben (@blind-as-a-noibat)! The ball clatters to the ground and rocks- Once, twice, three times...

Click!

Gourgeist was caught! It's Highly curious, with a Timid nature!

The sky clears, returning the brilliant night sky to its original glory. Congratulations trainers! You managed to keep the collateral damage to a minimum, and the event can continue right on schedule! (After a bit of cleanup)
