It doesn't matter how, but I just stumbled across a Russian rock opera based on the Witcher and I don't know what's happening but the music is cool.
I do not speak enough Russian or know enough about the Witcher to know if it's a good story or not but it sounds neat ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Reading The Hobbit has a warm, cozy feeling to it, like sitting by a fireplace and downing a warm mug of hot chocolate. There are times when you want to cry, times when you want to laugh, times when you want to fight alongside Thorin’s Company. But at the end of the story, you realise that you will never experience that, because The Hobbit is fictional in reality, but so real in the heart and mind.
Reading The Lord of The Rings has a cool feeling, neither warm nor cold, but a comfortable one; it’s as if you’re sitting by a window, staring into the rain, and wishing you could go outside and relish in the rain but you can’t because it’s cold. There are times when you want to laugh, cry, dine with the Fellowship, fight with the Fellowship. But you can’t, because The Lord of The Rings is only a figment lodged in your heart, tucked away in a cozy spot.
Reading The Silmarillion has the feel of sitting in an enormous library almost abandoned, and fishing out an old, dusty book from a nook long forgotten, written about the history of the world. There are cases when you want to delve into that world and explore it, revel in it, fight it, love it, yell at the people in it. But you can never do that, because it is a history long past, existing only in the minds of very few.
Reading the old stories narrating the entire history of Arda has the feel of travelling back in time to the Library of Alexandria, reading and studying all the library can give. There are times when you want to cry, mourn, grieve, celebrate, laugh, revel in the world. But you can never, as that world, those people, are all part of your heart and mind, tucked away into the most precious part of you.
Reading the legendarium doesn’t make you want to be a part of that world because you love it. It makes you want to be a part of that world because the characters are normal people, like you, who got roped into an unlikely adventure, forever narrated in song, poems, ballads and laments.
They are simple stories, of simple people, in a simple world, where if you existed, you could have been one of those souls both fortunate and unfortunate.
Reading the legendarium makes you want to be part of it, because it makes you think you can survive it.
And certainly, if you have read this amazing mythological masterpiece, you absolutely can survive it.

Ghost Train
It was no secret that the trains in Gotham were damaged, whether it was from all the explosions that flooded the city on a daily basis or the fact that the rails were broken wasn't completely clear. At that point, what was once a train station was nothing more than an empty place used by some homeless people to sleep.
Or that's what it was supposed to be, because while the station was damaged and underneath the city, it was actually active. It just had another kind of train, a slightly more interesting one.
In Danny's defense, he was extremely bored and there was an abandoned train station he could use to play with. All it took was calling in a favor from Technus and a fully functional ghost train connected the Infinite Realms to Gotham.
The ghosts, of course, used this for fun. Fighting each other, chasing each other, celebrating, having concerts. It was a way to go to the human world without anyone causing trouble for them, not that anyone was paying attention anyway.
Or at least, no one was supposed to be paying attention, because Waylon was dumbfounded at the sight. He had escaped to the old rails when he had no other choice, his sewers were compromised and he needed a way out. He didn't expect to walk right into a party, or be offered a sandwich with a smile instead of a shout.
He could also observe a clearly glowing train and the fact that everyone there was glowing. They could be metas, or another completely new creature, but Waylon didn't care, they gave him food and he wasn't a snitch.

unrelated to the art but i think Zuke isn't necessarily a singer or an all-out karaoke person HOWEVER. In his head there's a very small list of really specific songs he'd cause a scene over of his own volition & his favorite is Perpetual Fool by Spacehog

Important take aways from the new blog post
They have been on the road for two years and have been solving supernatural mysteries all over the country
Gaston has grown up and is now heavier than 60 pounds and tall enough to lick Jack in the face when standing. Gaston is also apparently acting as a service dog (or as close as you can get without formal training I guess) which I absolutely love!!
Gaston also has a Bunch of spirits in him that originally came from Rosa (and seeing how Jack tried to use the trigger phrase for the Dark God during the timestop that could mean the Dark God is now in Gaston (or that the Dark God is still in Rosa))
One of said spirits (namned Sergeant Pupper) calls Jack "Papa" and calls Jerry "Uncle Jerry" which isnt really vital information but something I think is very cute
There is some strange man who can stop time, who has meet Jack before ("good to see you again.") and who seems to know something about Jack's future- more specifically that Jack is going to die before he reaches whatever destination he thinks he needs to go to
Jack's go-to move is to throw whatever is closest at the enemy's head and tbf we already knew this but I am continuously impressed with Jack's perfect aim
Jack's second go-to move is to go for the balls (another example being Jack grabbing Spencer’s ball at the end of vol 4)
Something is pulling the gang back towards the town and they are probably (maybe? possibly?) returning there in the next blog entry
Honerable mentions: Gaston violently hates Troyal Garth Brooks, the gang has visited Lucy (from Code Green) and Claire (from Bedside manor), and they mentioned the Snake's Paw podcast (!!)

The dog sniffed round for an instant, and then with a shrill whine of excitement started off down the street, tugging at his leash in his efforts to go faster. In half an hour we were clear of the town and hastening down a country road.

I'm gonna say this, and I hope it doesn't come across poorly, but.
I don't want Wanda to show up at the end of the series.
The series has not been about Wanda. She's a cursory artifact who caused Agatha's curse and is Billy's mom, but neither of them actually want her back. (Not right now, anyway.)
The story hasn't been leading to that. There's little narratively to prop that up, and it will feel like...like exactly what people were accusing Billy of doing. It would make the show suddenly about Wanda coming back - it would detract from everything else that's going on - and I don't want that.
I like Wanda a lot, and I hope she does get to come back at some point, but not here. It doesn't feel right for this story. It doesn't fit.
Tommy and Nicholas, yes.
But not Wanda.

It is 2024 and I am here having feelings about Gilbert Norrell seated across from Jonathan Strange, his tea going cold before the fire, as tears form in his eyes and he pleads with Jonathan to not leave his side and thus make him bereft of the magical companionship that he never knew that he so desperately craved until the very moment that he found himself on the precipice of losing it (potentially) forever:
"There will be noone to talk to. We will be quite alone".
🔪💔
It is too good, the peak of cinema 🤌🏻🤌🏻🤌🏻🤌🏻🤌🏻
