Road Less Taken summary

Basically the fic goes as follows; in the city of London, sometimes magical crime slips under the cracks. That's where the M.N.K (Magical Nutcases Kids) comes in order to solve what needs to be solved, find whatever needs to be found and save whoever needs to be saved. They usually take jobs and requests though they can refuse. That last part rarely is mentioned. They're a mix of Scooby Doo and urban fantasy books essentially Percy Jackson.

They do have recurring villains that they have to deal with.

I've spent the past 30 minutes doing hair and make-up to watch a movie in my own living room.

I may be dumb, but, how does the gangline work? Do you have different sizes for different numbers of dogs? What happens if you need to take a dog off the gangline, and keep mushing, but then you have extra gangline? Where does the extra gangline go?

So ganglines come in various configurations. Some are modular (like my 4 dog line that i use when running all three dogs) and others are not (like my two dog line I use for running only two dogs).

Let's take a look at my gangline:

I've chosen mostly snowy pictures because they provide the easiest view at the line. Above is my typical set up with Sigurd in wheel (the back) and Zombie and Slash in lead (the front). The main part of the line which all other parts branch off from is called the towline/gangline (often used interchangably). This is the black thicker rope of my set up. The tuglines (which attach the dog to the towline) and necklines are red to help distinguish this when packing ganglines away (I had this one custom made with these specific colors and dimensions (longer wheel dog section to acomodate the fact I don't use a bungee and provide more stopping room between the sled/rig and the wheel dogs.

Here's a look from the musher's persepctive:

(sorry for blurry quality, I'm running on video screenshots here...) you can see that the team looks a bit uneven here because usually you'd have four dogs on a line like this. What's nice about modular lines is that i can simple take the unused line off when not in use (they use knots and loops to attach).

You can also see the distinguishing colors pretty good here! Again, I have taken one of the lead dog tugline sections off and attached a wheel dog section to the back (in my gangline they are different lengths, but most are all the same length).

So some ganglines AREN'T Modular. This means that you cannot switch dogs around on the same line. My single dog and two dog lines are like this:

It's hard to see here but the two dog line is attached as one unit and you cannot separate the two tug lines from each other (a two dog line from Affordable Dog Sleds is pictured with a bungee below, the bungee is black and the two dog section is red and black):

A huge majority of ganglines are made from polyethylene rope which is strong and durable, while also being able to be cut in an emergency situation. Some mushers also like cable filled lines to stop chewing. Another non modular type of line is a nylon line, such as the Howling Dog Alaska Skijor lines with built in bungees (although I have not had much luck with their durability from a malamute strength perspective):

A huge majority of the time I run with either a backpack that faces towards me on the rig or if I'm on the sled a sled bag so I can easily put items in it such as extra lines, leashes, ratchet straps and quick releases. I am also lucky enough to have gotten a Fjallraven Nuk parka last year that has TONS of pockets. Lines don't take up a lot of space!

With the situation on Sunday my husband simple took Sigurd home and then caught back up with me. Simple stuff.

What’re your favorite kh ships?

If I'm being honest... I really only true ship SoKai these days (my forever OTP). Mainly because I feel like that's the only one I can really ever see actually being canon (well, aside from Yozora and Nameless Star, and I also ship them: a lot of that for Versus XIII reasons. My heart won't let go). And, I mean, not that a ship needs to be canon for me to ship them. Not at all. But I'll admit that I've grown out of some of the KH ships a wee bit, as I've found more adult ones in other fandoms to get invested one.

That being said, the KH ships that I do still care about are:

VenAqua slightly, but I'd always choose Terra and Aqua over it (but one thing about the Wayfinder Trio for me, if I'm being truthful, is that I prefer the three of them as friends before any romance with any of them. Part of me even really thinks all three of them are truly just meant to be friends.)

A lot of people ship Ven and Strelitzia for some reason. And I doubt it'll ever happen, tbh. Who knows if they'll ever even really get a chance to meet and be friends. But I do get why they think it'd be cute.

And while I don't know if I truly ship them anymore, a part of me will always have a soft spot for Ventus and Naminé. Because for some reason, I really used to ship this crack pairing, back in the day.

I also don't really know if I ship them... but despite what I said above, I do get the feeling that Nomura might be doing something with Lauriam/Marluxia and Elrena/Larxene.

Don't worry, we have the same thing here. If you want to be outraged or just learn examples from outside the United States, I advise you to look at the history of French motorways / autoroute, or more recently; the "privatization" of electricity, but especially the sale of electricity.

As the vast majority of our electricity is nuclear, that makes it even more absurd (we can NOT privatize nuclear power, so we make a law that forces us to sell a % of our production to private parties at a reduced price because ???? Otherwise it's unfair competition? Why would we need competition?). And last winter (or the one before I'm not sure) we had an increase in prices to "follow" European prices??? (largely due to the problem with Russia and its gas) while we produce more than we consume?!?

Results: Schools, hospitals or offices under heating, more sick people, elderly people isolated dead and found months later, increase in the price of certain things like bread to be basic. Increase in scams targeting the desperate and the debts and suicide that go with it.

When people admit that they purposely get arrested or even put in prison so they can sleep warm and not die (we're not just talking about homeless people here) you know it's really not going well
