YOU JUST DON’T LISTEN(F.W)

Summary: Fred’s ex girlfriend writes him a letter to explain the how him using her wrecked her emotionally.

Warnings: angst, like a lot of angst, depressed Y/N, mentions of self doubt, a little swearing, mentions of parents not loving correctly, used reader. Let me know if I missed anything.

Fred Weasley checked the muggle clock on his nightstand. 10:30 AM. His mom will call him for breakfast anytime now. He has been awake for quite some time if he can even count the 30 minutes he tried to sleep but couldn’t, not when every time he tries to close his eyes his mind and eventually dreams are clouded by her. By the last time he looked at her, how devastated she looked, How her face was wet from her tears and her eyes bloodshot red, but the thing Fred will never be able to forget is her voice. How raw and vulnerable she sounded while saying the most horrible thing’s anyone has ever said to him, but he can’t blame her, he has no one to blame but himself because in the end it was he who caused all of this and now its come to bite him in the ass. He hears the door open and his twin brother George enters.

“Mom says breakfast is ready and she wants you downstairs. She says she’ll drag you herself if you don’t show up again today.”

“Tell her I’m not hungry and I’ll come grab a bite later.” I really don’t feel like being surrounded by other people right now. Not in this pathetic state I’m in. Besides it will take me willpower I don’t have to not hex Ron into oblivion.

“Well she will not take no for an answer and I wont either. What’s done is done now and you’ll have to face the world someday so start with your own family because everyone down there is worried sick about you and the least you can do is show your face once in a while so they know you haven’t died of starvation or sleep deprivation.” George has worry written all over him and I’m sure the rest of the family has it too. I feel even more like shit for worrying them.

“Fine. But I come back here if she is mentioned are we clear?”

“We weren’t gonna mention Y/N anyway now lets go moms worried sick for your dumbass.”

Breakfast was going smoothly with Ginny and Ron being exited for Quidditch season, Harry and Bill discussing the unfortunate events of the Triwizard tournament last year, dad asking Hermione about a rubber duck whatever that is, but the most shocking thing is mom asking me and George about the joke shop products. George is doing most of the talking but still the fact that shes even asking is awesome. I was finally feeling peaceful this whole winter break until I heard a hoot outside the window.

“I thought it was Tuesday but since mail is here does it mean its Friday already? Oh how fast time is going.

“No Arthur honey you are right it is Tuesday, Bill or George can one of you see if that owl has the owners name attached to it and bring whatever letter he has here to see who is it for.”

Bill got up from his seat and went to the window next to the countertop to look at the mystery owl. “Do we even know a Y/N Y/L/N?”

The room went quiet. The only thing that could be heard was the owls hoot asking for its treat. Bill seemed not to realise this as he took the letter from the owl, gave him a treat and sent it on its way.

“To Fred Weasley from Y/N Y/L/N… Who’s Y/N is she the girl you’ve been crying over this whole time huh Freddie?” Bill chuckled but I just grabbed the letter. I had no time to even be mad at him because once again my mind fogs up with only her. I couldn’t help but feel relieved and the happiest I felt in a long time. She has forgiven me. Y/N forgave me. That has to be it. Why else would she send me a letter?

“I had a great time with you guys but there’s important matters for me to attend so I have to go to now. Thanks mom the breakfast was amazing as always.” And with that I sprinted towards my room, locked the door and examined the letter in my hands. It was a bunch of them in here. I went to mine and George’s worktable threw some papers that were on top of it to make room for these letters and carefully opened the envelope.

The first thing that I grabbed was a photo. It was a polaroid of me and Y/N on the Gryffindor common room. Happiness filled my heart when I started remembering this night. I looked at the back of the polaroid and surely enough there was a writing on it.

Tears filled my eyes when I remember this night. It was the night I looked at her the way I always should have. Not as a replacement of someone who didn’t care about me.

The next one was also a polaroid photograph but this one I don’t remember being taken. It’s a picture of Y/N teaching me how to play the guitar. I can make up that we are in her dorm but not more as the picture is taken in black and white. I look at the back and surely this one also has a writing on it but the handwriting doesn’t look familiar at all.

The third one is an actual letter. I chuckle looking at the handwriting. Always so precise and not even one line out of place. I always thought Y/Ns handwriting always contradicts her hot headed persona but it’s actually really cute. I start reading the letter and my heart stops.

Dear Freddie,

I can only imagine the shock that receiving a letter from me would cause you right now especially after our last conversation.

But I have a lot to get off of my chest and I wont be able to move on if I haven’t said it all. Call me a coward but I was really scared to ask you to meet me so I can say it in person, but maybe that’s what I have always been. A coward. A coward because I get scared when someone wants to enter my life, a coward because I hate trying new things at the expense of failing, a coward because I should be able to confront people who brought darkness and sadness to my life.

But one thing I will admit Fred Weasley is that I wasn’t a coward when It came to loving you. It was the first time that I let someone come into my life and heart the way you did, and it will probably be the last. Throughout our “relationship” if you can even call it that as it was more of you customizing me to be her, to be someone I’m not. But that’s why you even talked to me is it, because I reminded you of her.

The signs were right in front of me and I feel stupid enough not to have seen them. But I guess people are right when they say love is blind. Love is such a funny thing to me as the first time I experienced the right kind of love was through you. But that was me creating stuff in my head. You didn’t love me no, you loved the idea of me. But I loved you. I loved you more than anything or anyone I have ever loved, I loved everything about you. But you just don’t listen. You don’t listen to anyone around you. Not George, not your other siblings, not Lee or any of your other friends for that matter, not your professors, but most importantly you don’t listen to me.

You didn’t listen when I told you that the love my parents gave me was only because I reminded them of my brother, the love my old friends back home gave me was one of interest. Everywhere I go no matter who I talk to no one will love me for me. I came to accept that until I met you.

You were funny and crazy and brave and oh so gorgeous. You were basically everything I looked for in… well everything. In a friend or in a partner it doesn’t matter. I thought you saw me for who I am. A broken teenager with issues but that at the end of the day was deserving of love. Oh how wrong I have been but no more wrong than you. You knew this but you just didn’t listen.

That makes us both horrible people now does it. Me who thought you were some kind of savior or some kind of saint and selfishly wrapped myself around your love and you who used me because I remind you of your ex girlfriend who broke your heart. But mine is excused I feel like and yours isn’t.

You would have kept me going for who knows how long just so you can live your imaginations you had for someone else.

Did you think about her the first time we slept together?

Was I not enough for you Freddie?

Was I too clingy too soon?

Is it my hot temper that gets the best of me?

So many questions will be left unanswered on my end because frankly, I never want to speak of you again. Sure I am deprived of love but I will not take it if its not directed directly at me.

I still care about you and will continue to support you and George on whatever you set your mind into. I was waking through Diagon Alley last week and saw this little store with a “for sale” sign. It’s right in the middle of Diagon Alley. I hate how my first thought went that you would have loved it but I seem to do that a lot recently.

I’ll get dressed and think would Fred love this skirt or this shirt.

I start applying lipstick and I’ll think will Fred love this color.

I start eating and I’ll think does this look good enough that Fred would’ve stolen a piece of it when I’m talking to Ginny.

I don’t even know why I am telling you this. How pathetic I’ve become clinging into someone that doesn’t want me.

Anyway I’ve probably bored you enough with my ranting but I wouldn’t have been able to move on unless I said everything that felt heavy on my heart. I also attached some photos I thought you’d like to keep seeing as now you can see yourself with Kayla without having the burden to be near me.

Upon seeing your surprised face he'll turn away like he did nothing wrong.

But he knows what he did and he doesn't regret it one bit.

Since he isn't sure how to feel about this new emotion called jealousy, he doesn't approach you or talk to you about what happened.

That doesn't mean he isn't watching everyone in the room to make sure no one else pulls the same stunt.

He's noticeably a little angry, and so you get him alone to talk about what was going on.

"I'm… not sure what happened or why i feel so annoyed. But seeing those men disrespecting and flirting with you just-"

You could see his face scrunching up from the memory.

Give him some reassurance, tell him what he's feeling is normal, give him a small peck on his cheek.

He'll relax at your reassurance, and it'll save more people from getting frozen to the floor.

But that won't stop him from lingering around you all day and sending glares to anyone with wandering eyes.

After the event he may be a bit more affectionate than usual, he needs to relieve some of the stress from the day.

So expect plenty of cuddles, he'll keep you in his arms all night long.

Twist Of Fate - Ch11 - (Trixya) - katyahzamo

A/N: Here we are folks, the penultimate chapter of this fic! Things are slowly falling into place with these two and I can’t believe it’s been three months since I started writing it. Thank you everyone, for your continuous support and lovely feedback!

Katya wakes up sometime around eight in the morning the next day, with sweat on her upper lip and on the back of her neck. The air is stuffy in her bedroom, and only when her eyes open does she remember that she’s forgotten to leave the window open before falling asleep.

Additional source of heat is the pile of blonde curls spread across her bare chest, with an arm and a leg hugging her close as Trixie Mattel sleeps peacefully snuggled up to her. Katya can barely feel her arm that got trapped under Trixie sometime through the night, and there is a certain soreness in her thighs that reminds her it’s been a while since she’s had sex… or done strenuous yoga for that matter. Still, she has a large smile on her face as her fingers trail through blonde hair splayed across her collarbone, feeling her heart speed up at the mere thought of the last night’s events.

Seeing Trixie naked, getting to kiss every single inch of her soft skin… it was better than any fantasy Katya’s imagination could have conjured up in many lonely nights when she thought about it. Trixie was both gentle and teasing, and heat pools in the bottom of Katya’s stomach as she remembers Trixie between her legs, eating her out like it’s the last thing she’s going to do. It seems that it’s the smell of French toast, eggs and bacon that rouse Trixie from her slumber, and she’s standing in the doorway, in one of Katya’s shirts no less, hair pulled back in a messy ponytail and a bright smile on her face. It makes Katya’s heart jump violently and then drops to her ass. The shirt strains a little over her chest, but reaches her thighs nevertheless. She looks sexy as all hell.

“Morning.”

“Good morning, birthday girl. How did you sleep?”

“Mmm really good, but I think I fully didn’t move all night. Everything hurts.”

There is a little pout on Trixie’s lips, that playful one that Katya has seen so many times in the last twenty-four hours, and it is hard to breathe for a moment before she flips the pancake.

“Maybe you can do some yoga with me later?”

Katya turns her head, and Trixie is there, leaning her hip against the counter, her eyes big, and brown, and staring at Katya’s mouth.

A second later she hops on the counter to sit there and gets a toast and nibbles on it, watching Katya who puts the last pancake on the plate, turns off the stove and comes in front of her. Trixie’s knees part instinctively and Katya settles between her thighs.

“This is really good.”

“Yeah?”

“Yes. I usually don’t eat white bread that much but I was starving.”

“I also made you pancakes and bought a little candle so you can blow on it. Even though you don’t celebrate your birthday-”

She leans up seconds later to capture Trixie’s lips with her own, and before long Trixie has her nails dragging down Katya’s back and Katya desperately digs her fingers into the soft flesh of Trixie’s thighs.

“God you’re so sexy.” Katya’s words are barely a breath she speaks into Trixie’s open mouth, and are greeted with a soft moan before the kiss becomes needier, causing both of them to grind their hips towards the other.

“How old are you?” Trixie laughs loudly and Katya swats at her ankle playfully. “No, grandma, she won’t be on a show that ended ten years ago, but-“

“It didn’t end! It’s still going!”

“Wait, what?”

“Yeah! I’m pretty sure I watched it last week.”

They bicker for a little while longer, until Trixie pulls out her phone from underneath her and stares at the Wikipedia article with her mouth open, and Katya laughing loudly at her.

“I’m right, huh? It’s still airing.”

“Who the hell funds this still?”

“Mrs. Kasha Davis?”

“Right!” Trixie tosses her phone Katya’s way, who catches it and laughs again, doubling down on intensity when Trixie glares at her and then Katya raises her arms up in surrender.

“I’m sorry! Go ahead, what about her daughter?”

Trixie blinks at her pointedly a several times more but then her expression softens when she speaks again.

“Latrice called me while I was still in Wisconsin. Apparently, Mrs. Kasha Davis wants me to do her daughter’s hair. And her daughter’s best friends’ hair. And probably makeup too. There will be like… seven or eight girls there.”

“Trix, that’s great! They’re loaded, they will probably pay well.”

“Right? There’s a problem, though. Maybe one you can help me with?”

Katya tilts her head and can’t help but grin back when Trixie bats her eyelashes again, feeling her heart thump at the sight.

“What do you need?”

“They need a photographer. Apparently there’s a company who organizes these things and they usually send a photographer and a makeup artist in a bundle. And it’s hard for them to find a photographer on their own on such a short notice. So…”

“So if you don’t find a photographer, they will go with the company.”

“Right. I know you’re busy and you’re getting like a thousand jobs offer an hour but…”

“Trix, being booked one week in advance is barely a thousand offers.”

“I know! But you’re so good and all these modeling agencies are fighting for you, and I know teens are not your thing but…”

“I’ll do it.”

Trixie’s eyes widen, and her smile too. Money aside, this sight alone makes Katya think that hanging around teenagers the entire day makes it totally worth it.

“Really?”

“Yeah! I mean, they are loaded and I can probably get a rate as high as I get for weddings so…”

She doesn’t finish the sentence since Trixie has put the pancakes away and is pulling her down towards herself, her soft pink lips covering every inch of Katya’s face, causing her to burst into laughter, over and over again. Doing what she loves to do and with the girl that she’s pretty sure she’s in love with? Who would say no?

The two of them stay on Katya’s couch for the remainder of the morning and early afternoon, cuddling and watching Casablanca that comes on, parting reluctantly only when Trixie says she needs to go into Honey even though it’s her last day of paid leave and it’s her birthday. Since Katya needs to work on engagement photos she’s taken the day before, she lets her go, but not before spending fifteen minutes kissing at the front door and agreeing to see each other that evening for birthday celebration, and the next day, when Katya would pick Trixie up from work and go with her to test out a new lens in the park nearby. As she watches Trixie get into her Uber while she smokes on the window, Katya wonders what she did in her largely miserable life to finally get so lucky.

“No, go back. Details bitch.  Is she a top or a bottom? What does she like? Did you talk kinks yet?”

The connection on Violet’s side is not really the best, and Katya has to squint at her own phone to recognize that the pixelated blur is in fact her best friend, calling her from the other side of the continent, after having blown up her phone when Katya told her Trixie began spending almost every night for the past week.

“Vi, I can barely hear you, what?”

Maybe she is trying to avoid the subject altogether now, at least until Violet is in the same room as her, since sleeping with Trixie is… different. She is not just a tinder hookup or a casual dating thing that Katya had no issues talking about with her best friend in the past, all details included. Now, she is afraid of sharing too much with the universe, fearing that the universe might yet again be a bitch and take it away from her.

Just that morning Trixie left her apartment to go to work, and she woke Katya up by dragging her to the shower and kissing the sleep away from her puffy eyelids, then proceeded to make them both coffee after which they sat by the window as Katya smoked. Trixie’s thumb rubbed her knee as they talked about their plans for the weekend. It has been surreal, more surreal than any other thing that had happened to Katya in the past year. Considering all the changes that she went through, this being the biggest one, it was a lot, and now difficult to put into words.

How can she even begin to describe the happiness she feels to get to spend every single free moment with Trixie when it seemed just like a distant fantasy only a month ago? No words could even begin to come close to describe how beautiful Trixie is, or how funny. How her nose scrunches lightly when she yawns over her cup of coffee in the morning or how she chews thoughtfully and looks into the distance when she thinks Katya isn’t looking. Anything she could say to Violet pales in comparison to the warmth in her chest when Trixie kisses her collarbone and talks sleepily before drifting off and the way her small apartment rings with the sound of Trixie’s absurdly loud laughter. Katya is happy, and it’s a scary thing to even fathom talking about.

“Fine, you don’t have to tell me now. Is it good at least? Is she good?”

The connection clears enough for Violet to see the wide grin on Katya’s face, the crinkles around her eyes visible even through the blurry video.

“She’s the best, Vi. I’ll tell you everything when you get back.”

Katya is barely holding in her laughter as Jean continues chattering on, giving precise instructions on how her hair needs to look like, the funny part being the way Trixie’s eyes are bugging out a little. Katya can see that Trixie is holding in an exasperated huff too, but nods along and keeps saying okay as the girl continues talking.

“And please don’t give Amanda the same hair as mine, she’s been trying to copy me for months.”

“Isn’t Amanda one of your best friends, dear?”

Mrs. Kasha Davis is sitting in the chair next to her daughter, flipping through the menu that the caterers have brought minutes after Katya and Trixie walked through the door of the gigantic mansion where the Davises lived. Her eyes lift up towards her daughter, a perfectly shaped eyebrow quirked.

“Mom, I told you fifteen times already, I have to keep Amanda close because she has the pull with the cheerleaders. But I can’t stand her, all she talks about is Justin Bieber and we all know he’s so 2013.”

Katya cackles at this when her eyes meet Trixie’s, and the girl looks at them in the mirror.

“What? You know I’m right.”

“You sure are.” Katya says amusingly, lifting the camera and adjusting the lens before she snaps a photo of the mother and the daughter, with Trixie fiddling with the scissors in the background.

Both Trixie and Katya woke up at seven in the morning to get everything ready for the Sweet Sixteen party, or at least the part they play in it, since Latrice instructed them both on what Mrs. Davis loves and doesn’t love, and when she saw Trixie getting nervous about her first big gig, encouraged them both that Kasha, despite being a rich white woman, has a kind heart and will tell them if anything is amiss.

They had no issues finding the house in the outskirts of Boston hours later and Katya expected to see swans in their larger-than-life front yard that had a fountain decorated with endless balloons and pink bows. Despite the kitschiness of it all, Katya appreciated how this girl’s parents went above and beyond to make their daughter’s birthday special. Jean, all teenager drama aside, is not as snobby as Katya expects most girls of her class to be, and she spent half an hour discussing photography with her before they sat down for hair and makeup.

Soon after they shit talk Amanda, the head cheerleader walks in with half a dozen of other girls and Trixie sits them all down and gives them catalogues to browse for hair styles they want, while Katya walks around, taking quick photos as girls get ready, of the tables and canopy set in the backyard, of the house and exterior decorations, and finally of Trixie.

The only dress code for the party is to incorporate something pink in their outfit, since that is the main color of the event. Trixie sure looks the part n her baby pink dress, slightly loose around her shoulders and flowy around her legs and reaching down below her knees. Her thick curls are pushed in a ponytail and makeup is as soft as one could imagine it being on a warm September day. She looks like she walked out of Katya’s wildest cotton candy dreams. Katya, in return, sports only a dark pink button up shirt that she matched with the black pantsuit, the jacket tossed aside as soon as they arrived to the house.

Katya feels smug whenever she notices Trixie swallowing every time she looks at her, and remembers how breathlessly she complimented her that morning when she saw Katya get out of the car to kiss her hello in front of Kim’s building when she picked her up.

She sees Trixie looking at her now, a curling iron in her hand and a little smile on her face that Katya snapped a photo of seconds before, and now has the wild urge to go over and kiss her senseless. Instead, Katya walks past her and squeezes Trixie’s hip lightly before she walks out of the spacious, bright-lit room and into the back porch of the house. Some of the guests have begun arriving already, mostly family members including older aunts and uncles. Mrs. Davis has told them that the main event would be after seven, when half of Jean’s school would be coming over for the party, but the afternoon was reserved for the older family members and friends of Mr. and Mrs. Davis.

Katya spends an hour or two walking between the tables, introducing herself to people who want to know her name, and taking photos much to the guests’ delight. Despite having initial reservations for an event like this, Katya realized that older rich white people are a goldmine for photography opportunities, and she has already given out a dozen of her business cards before she sees Trixie on the porch too, drinking something that looks like pink lemonade.

“Almost done?” Katya comes to stand next to her but only after she’s quickly snapped a photo of her, feeling her heart grow ten sizes when she sees Trixie pose playfully.

“Yep. Jean was right, Amanda talks about Bieber more than you talk about your Russian weirdo bands.”

“Hey!” Katya cackles and nudges her with her hip, sending Trixie into giggles too.

“They’re a cool bunch, though. They keep asking me if I can redo their makeup too.”

“How could they not? You’re the incarnation of their favorite Barbie they played with up until two years ago.”

“I’ll pretend I didn’t hear that.”

“What? I think you look beautiful.”

Trixie’s blush is visible even in the slight shade of the porch and Katya is grinning proudly.

“God, if we made out right here, right now, do you think we’d look unprofessional?”

“Only one way to find out.”

“Katya!”

“What? You think dykes would be too much for the poor old aunt Shirley over there?”

“She’d fully be clutching her pearls.”

“Oh there you two are!”

The voice of Mrs. Davis makes them both jump a little and they turn around, their expressions slightly flushed and guilty. Katya prays she didn’t hear any part of the conversation they just had. But, even if she did, Kasha shows no signs of it.

“Trixie, dear, Jean is absolutely glowing because of your handiwork. You did a marvelous job!”

Trixie grins and Katya’s heart skips several beats. She’s so proud of her.

“I’m glad she’s happy with it. I only have two more girls left and I’ll be done.”

“Beautiful! Katya, we’ve agreed you’ll be staying here until nine, isn’t that right?”

“Yes, Mrs. Davis.”

“Please, darlings, call me Kasha. You’re making me feel old.”

All three of them laugh and Katya nods.

“Anyway, I’m here to offer you to stay for the party too, Trixie.”

“Oh you really don’t have to, I-“

“No, nonsense! You can keep Katya company and David ordered too much food for this amount of people. I insist.”

Katya and Trixie look at each other and Katya gives her a non-committal shrug, even though all she wants is to have Trixie around for the entirety of the day. It would definitely make the remainder of the party more bearable.

“Okay, I’ll stay then. Thank you. If you need me to help with anything-“

“No, absolutely not. You can finish up the hair and makeup, and I might ask you to touch up mine later in the afternoon, but the moment you are done you’re a guest like everything else here.”

“Thank you M- Kasha.”

“Oh you’re both welcome. Now if you’ll excuse me, I see my mother-in-law calling.”

Both Trixie and Katya laugh at the eyeroll and the wink Kasha gives them, and watch her trod across the lawn.

“Better go get Amanda ready before she cuts my head off.”

Katya laughs and takes her hand briefly, kissing it.

“Go. I’ll be out here. And bring me one of those lemonades when you’re done.”

The remainder of the afternoon goes by fast, and Katya barely has time to shove some of the food in her mouth while people call her from one side of the lawn or another, wishing her to take photos of them in different poses and with different family members and friends. It’s well past six in the evening and the majority of the adults are already tipsy and ready to dance, so the DJ is already in his spot too, forced to take requests of songs that range from Frank Sinatra to Spice Girls. When five minutes pass without anyone calling out her name, Katya decides to take a bathroom break while she still can, since the only people who like having their photos taken more than middle-aged people are teenagers, and almost a hundred of them are soon to start arriving through the door.

The bathroom offers a welcome silence and Katya feels her head pulsating a little bit, but she has to admit to herself that she is having fun, more so because she knows Trixie is going to join her soon. What makes her the happiest, though, is the fact that Trixie will be coming home with her later and they will get to snuggle on her worn out couch and talk to each other about the day they had.

Just as Katya flushes and goes to wash her hands, there is a brief knock on the bathroom door and Katya calls out that she’ll be out in a second. When she does open the door, she sees Trixie standing on the other side, the look on her face making butterflies in Katya’s stomach dance for the millionth time that day.

“Oh hi.”

“Hello.”

Trixie’s hand pushes her lightly from the door and back into the bathroom again, and follows her in an instant before she closes the door and locks it.

“I’ve missed you the whole damn day.”

“Me too.”

Katya wraps her arms around Trixie’s  waist and Trixie cups both sides of Katya’s face and leans in to kiss her – her soft lingering kisses that Katya returns eagerly, humming contentedly.

“I’ve wanted to kiss you all day.” Trixie mutters into the kiss and Katya kisses her again, and again, and again, until she’s backed into the wall and raking her fingers through Katya’s waves, the feeling of blunt nails against her scalp causing goosebumps on the back of Katya’s neck.

“Did I tell you how hot you are in that fucking suit? Holy shit.”

Katya squeezes Trixie’s waist in response, digging fingers there and grinding against Trixie’s thigh just a little, their mouths inches apart, both of them breathing heavily.

“Do you think it would be unprofessional if I bent you over in our client’s bathroom and fucked you senseless?”

That makes Trixie’s mouth fall open and she kisses Katya softly again, and Katya knows that she’s considering it. They both know it’s a probable thing that would happen if their kisses lasted for more than five seconds.

“Probably. Maybe we shouldn’t.”

“Yeah.”

“Maybe you can do that later tonight when we’re back at your place?”

“Sounds like a solid plan.”

Katya is the first one to rejoin the party, her neck still flushed from how easily worked up Trixie has gotten her, but her dark red lipstick is in place once again and her hair brushed out. There is an ache between her thighs for a while after, especially when Trixie comes to join her soon after with a hand on Katya’s lower back, but knows that they still have a few hours to go.

Taking photos of teenagers is definitely more work, since they ask to see how they look in photos every time they are taken, but they are also ready to go with Katya’s ideas of crazy poses, so Katya finds herself having a lot of fun. Both her and Trixie, who watches the entire thing unfold, are invited into several selfies too an hour into what turned into a photoshoot with the cheerleaders.

It’s well past nine when Katya packs up her camera, and when she comes out to the lawn that is now lit up with hundreds of small lights and with a crowd consisting now mostly of people under twenty, save some of the adults here and there, she finds Trixie surrounded by several girls who keep asking her about the hair products she uses to make her curls be the way that they are. Once Katya reaches them, Jean begs them both to stay a little bit longer to join the dancing since the band has taken over, and Trixie is the first one to give in.

An hour later Trixie and Katya are still on the dance floor, and no one seems to care that they are dancing with each other and not talking with anyone else aside from several older cousins who are there more out of solidarity for their cousin’s birthday wishes more than anything else. When the fast-beat song changes to something slower, Katya pulls Trixie close and Trixie leans her head on Katya’s shoulder as they sway slowly.

“This is like a prom I never got to have.”

Katya pulls her head from where it rested, leaned on top of Trixie’s, in surprise.

“You never went to your prom?”

Trixie rolls her eyes but laughs.

“Of course I went to prom, but I never got to go to one with a girl that I liked.”

Even though Katya knows that Trixie likes her, she’ll never get tired of hearing it.

“Did you go with a guy, then?”

“Yep, Bob. We were the only two out gays in the entire school so no one really wanted to do anything with us.”

“I’m sorry, Trix.”

“It doesn’t matter, we had a lot of fun. And I get to redo it with you now.”

“Does this mean I forgot to buy you flowers and that I’m a horrible girlfriend?”

Trixie lifts her head up to meet Katya’s eyes and only by the expression on her face does she realize what she just said.

“So that’s what you are, huh? My girlfriend?”

Katya grins wider, and kisses the small crease that formed in the corner of Trixie’s eye as her smile grows too.

“Yep.”

“Cool. Then I’ll need those flowers.”

“I’ll get them for you as soon as we get out of here.”

They leave the party shortly after that, and Katya does stop in front of a little flower shop whose owner knows Katya from before, and who gives her a bouquet of lilies that she passes on to Trixie when she gets back in the car.

“Are we having a little Imagine Me and You moment now, Katya?”

“I have no idea what you’re talking about.”

“Imagine Me and You? The best lesbian movie ever made?”

“Never heard of it.”

“And yet you know that Sweet Sixteen is still airing? I’m breaking up with you immediately.”

The ride to Katya’s apartment is full of their bickering and Trixie’s loud laughter, and Katya can’t remember a better day at work in her entire life. A part of her wishes that she and Trixie can do things like this forever. She loves photography, and getting to finally do it for living is a dream come true, but now she wants to share that dream with Trixie. As she watches Trixie kick off her heels and stretch before she joins her on the couch, Katya thinks that it’s probably too early to even bring it up. She knows that Trixie has been planning to leave Honey for a while now, but Katya doesn’t want to put a strain in their very new relationship by proposing something like that. They have time.

An hour later they are still on the couch, their carefully applied lipsticks gone and their clothes discarded on the floor. They barely spoke anything in the hurry to get each other off, the tension between them building for the entire day and released only when Katya fucked Trixie until her thighs shook and then gladly returned the favor. Katya felt so exhausted afterward, especially with Trixie cuddling into her side, both lazy to get up, shower, and go to bed. The silence breaks shortly after, and Katya didn’t notice that Trixie has been chewing on her lip nervously for at least ten minutes before she speaks.

“Katya?”

“Yeah?”

“I have to talk to you about something.”

“Shoot.”

“Remember when I went back to Wisconsin to be with family couple of weeks ago?”

“Yes, of course I remember.”

“I went to see Pearl too.”

The name Pearl, spoken out of nowhere, and in that context, sucks all of the air from Katya’s lungs and suddenly she can’t breathe, so she sits up. Trixie, who was leaned on her, sits up too, bringing the blanket to her chest, suddenly feeling exposed. Katya opens her mouth once, both unsure of what to say and not understanding why this is being brought up now, then closes it. Then finally:

“Okay.”

“I didn’t know how to tell you back then. I wasn’t sure where you and I were going and there never seemed to be a right time. This is also not the right time, but I have to tell you anyway.”

This exact moment not being the right time is an understatement. Katya’s jaw is clamped shut, but all she can do is look at Trixie, and wait. After all, she has no idea what seeing Pearl means in this case, and wants to give Trixie the benefit of the doubt. Shiver passes down her spine, but it has nothing to do with being cold.

“And I know you and I didn’t talk about it at all, but our breakup went really badly, and I was afraid that I hurt her so I – I needed to fix it.”

Met with Katya’s silence, Trixie seems to falter a little bit, but she continues talking.

“So Bob and I went to Chicago and Pearl and I met over lunch and talked about… everything. Nothing happened obviously, I knew I didn’t love her that… way, and I knew I liked you, so I wanted to do the right thing and bring us both closure.”

A part of Katya, that has been under considerable strain and threatening to snap since Trixie started the conversation, loosened up and she let out a small breath. Nothing happened. Yet, there is an irrational part of her that’s still hurt about it. It’s not something she can help.

“Why are you telling me this now? That was almost a month ago.” Her voice too is slightly strained, but Katya tries not to project her insecurities on Trixie. Her insecurities are what ended every single relationship she’s had so far. There weren’t many.

When Katya didn’t snap, something that Trixie apparently expected, the corner of her mouth pulled into a small smile and she shrugged. Despite the rollercoaster of emotions that Katya went within two minutes time, she can’t help but want to hug Trixie when she sees her this way.

“You called me your girlfriend tonight. I was afraid that mentioning Pearl would fuck all of this up, and these past couple of weeks have been the best I’ve had in my life.”

“Mine too.”

Trixie’s face seems to light up at that.

“And tonight you called me your girlfriend and I became aware that I can’t hold this back from you because I don’t want to hide anything from you, Katya. I really, really like you and I want us to work. More than I want anything else.”

“Trixie…”

“So I had to say it. And I see that you’re upset and I’m sorry. I just wanted you to know and not find out from one of our friends or something.”

Katya reaches out and takes Trixie’s hand for the millionth time that day, and pulls her close, meeting in a kiss as she closes the distance between them, and Trixie readily responds.

“Thank you for telling me.” Katya speaks when they pull away, and Trixie leans into her side to snuggle her again.

“Thank god. If we had to fight it would have killed me.”

“How did Pearl take it?”

Trixie lifts her head to see that Katya’s looking at her, and they smile at each other.

“She was surprisingly okay and appreciated that I wanted to clear the air. She’s going on a big world tour and said it was for the best anyway.”

“And you’re okay? You guys were together for a long time.”

“Trust me, Katya, I’ve never been more okay with anything in my life. I have you.”

I Won’t Let Anybody Hurt You

Hi Guys, So this is my first ever Fic. its pretty long and i know it isn't perfect, but that being said, if i don't post it now I'm pretty sure i never will. i’ve followed this fandom since the last episode of the second series, and have fell in love with all of the beautifully written fics. one day hopefully, my writing will be half as good as yours. I’m pretty new a tumblr too so i stick out like a sore thumb.  it takes place during the night of the party at Ians, just a pre warning. hope you enjoy xxx

“I won’t let anybody hurt you. You’re safe with me” 

Its been a few hours since he got in bed, music off, so his dad thinks he’s asleep and he doesn’t have to answer any of his questions about Rae. The question that angers him most is “tell me what happened between you two, I thought you both made each other happy.” If he knew why they split he probably wouldn’t spend most his nights punishing himself for fucking up so bad. He’s not sure where he went wrong, but he obviously did. The second question he hates almost as much is “You’re not happy with Olivia, are you?” Of course he isn’t happy with Olivia, it wasn’t even meant to get this deep, his first date with her was only meant to be a favour for Macca, “please Finn, remember the time I took Vicky out so you and Stacey could get some time alone?” He feels sick just thinking about it. Yes Macca had taken Vicky out so him and Stacey could be alone, possibly get down to business, but he realised pretty quickly while they were alone that that wasn’t what he wanted, that Stacey was a bitch, that she didn’t care about anyone but herself and her popularity, he ended it pretty quickly after that, but yet Macca still claims that him taking Vicky out, was for Finn’s benefit only.

He always tries to be a good boy, a good Lad, He’s never brought any real trouble home to his dads door, he always does the right thing for his friends, which is how he’s ended up taking Olivia on this stupid date in the first place. A fucking Wine Bar, he knew he was out of his depth as soon as he walked in. He knew of Olivia from around the town, heard about her lapping the attention from younger lads, but he never really cared for gossip. He still doesn’t now. So while on this date with Olivia, he drinks the horrible vinegar tasting red liquid like its water, hoping to kill the pain that’s been in his chest ever since Rae left him on his doorstep. The more he drank, the more his guard slipped, and the next he remembers is waking up the following morning naked in Olivia’s bed. He was sick that morning, told Olivia it was just his hangover when she’d asked him if he was okay. But it wasn’t his hangover, no it was the guilt, how could he of slept with her when he didn’t even know her surname? How could he of slept with her when he was so in love with Rae? Olivia stuck around like a bad smell after that day, and he began to like the feeling of being wanted by somebody, and besides she wasn’t a horrible person, so he began to put the effort in with Olivia. But still every night, he’d find himself lay in his bed staring up at his ceiling, wondering where he went wrong with Rae, wondering when it will stop hurting so much, wondering if she’s okay. He’d ended it not quickly enough with Olivia, but at least now, he can love and care for Rae without feeling guilty.

He turns on his side to look at his alarm clock, it reads 03:17 and he can’t believe he’s been in his bed since he got in from Rae’s at six forty-five pm, she’d blew him off to go to a party with Chloe and these older lads, something about the lads cause him to shudder and it sets him on edge even more not only is he worried about Rae, he’s now also worried for Chloe too. Soon after he can hear the house phone ringing, he knows it isn’t for him, its probably his dads work, he’s been working a lot more recently. Just as he decides he best answer, it stops he relaxes back in his bed but literally two seconds later the phone rings again, its cut off pretty quickly so he assumes his dads answered. He’s correct, he can hear his dad’s faint voice telling whoever is on the other side of the phone not to worry, and he’ll check, there’s a soft knock on his bedroom door and before he can tell his dad to come in, the door is opened.

“Finn are you awake lad?” he replies with a horse “yeah” his voice is tight with panic.

“Linda, Rae’s mum is on the phone for you” his dad takes a seat on his bed and holds the phone out for Finn to take. He’s panicking now.

“Linda, are you okay? Is Rae okay?” he asks, her reply really gets him worrying. Linda explains that her and Rae have gotten into it a lot recently, and that during their last argument Linda had said some pretty terrible things, one being that she didn’t want to bring her baby up around Rae and the other telling Rae to go and live with her dad because she’d done her shift. She’s crying down the phone and Finn tells her to calm down before she causes herself or the baby some trouble. He’s pretty mad though, how can Linda say anything of such to Rae, If he can tell that something isn’t right with Rae then surly her own mother knows. He’ll be even more furious if Linda has lay a hand on Rae, the day she’d turned up on his doorstep, cheek red with a handprint, had broke his heart.

Linda goes on to ask if he’s heard off Rae at all, that she’d tried Archie who gave her his number, and Chloe is meant to be staying out at a mates. Finn doesn’t want to lie to Linda, but he doesn’t want to out Rae either, so he tells Linda that while he hadn’t exactly heard from Rae, he knew that there was a party tonight and he’d be happy to phone and find out if she was there, before calling Linda back. She thanks him before apologising for waking him and his dad up before saying, “speak to you shortly”

 Finn puts the phone down before looking up at his dad. He doesn’t know what his face looks like but it must be bad if his dad is pulling him into a hug and kissing his forehead. “She’ll be alright son, you get calling around, ill go fix the kettle.” but before his dad makes it to his bedroom door, the house phone is ringing, he picks it up with a rushed “lo”.

“Hi, I’m sorry to call so late, but my names Kester, and I’m looking for a Finn, is Finn home?”

“It’s me, I’m Finn” He reply’s wondering why the name Kester sounds familiar to him.

“Oh great, well I’m calling on behalf of Rae, sh” he’s quick to cut Kester off, “Rae’s there? Is she safe, I’m coming right now tell her, what is the address?”

“Wait Finn,” Kester rushes “before you come you need to know that she’s very upset, I can’t get anything out of her apart from your name and number, she doesn’t look hurt but something has happened, she’s very drunk.”

Finns head is spinning so much it takes a minute for him to reply, he looks up and his dad is back in his room in his coat and shoes with Finn’s jacket and boots in his hands, Finn gets the address from Kester and is shocked to find that Rae isn’t even in the same town as the party, she’s only 20 minutes away. Finn hangs up and almost falls as he rushes to his feet, his dad tells him to breath, but Finn is practically already down the stairs. He’s glad his dad stops to call Linda back, he can hear him telling Linda for her to sleep, Rae is okay to spend the night in the spare room, and either himself or Finn will drop her home first thing in the morning.

He Finds himself jittering in the car, he’s glad his dad has come, even happier his dad is driving, his nerves have got the better of him, he feels as if he’ll be sick and second and he’s already chewed his nails to the point they’re bleeding. His dad tells him she’ll be okay, but how can she be? His dad doesn’t know that lads she’s been hanging around with, and where the fuck is Chloe?

They pull up to a house, which has the porch light on, Finn gets out, and knocks quietly; his dad squeezes his shoulder in support. The door opens and Finn is facing a short, bald man, who he surmises is Kester, although he doesn’t look much like the Kester he’s imagined. Kester welcomes both men in and leads them through the his living room to a narrow hall, he points to a door and tells Finn she’s in there, that he’ll go and fix some drinks. Finn looks over his shoulder to his dad, his dad nodding him on and that’s when he hears it, Rae’s hushed sobs. He knocks once and opens the door calling out “Rae”.

The rooms pretty bright and he spots her sat on the floor next to the toilet, itching her right hand mercifully. He shuts the bathroom door behind him and is sat gathering her into his arms in 3 seconds, but she flinches and yelps, and it sends shivers down his spine. Something has happened to Rae, something terrible. He says her name again, a little clearer this time hoping the confidence in his voice comes through; she flinches but doesn’t look at him. “Rae, its me Finn, please look at me” is voice cracks. She looks up and sobs a little “Finn” before breaking down into the most heart wrenching sobs. He tries again to pull her into his arms, this time she allows him, and she easily rests her head in-between his shoulder and neck. He kisses her head and tells her “Shhh, its okay Rae, tell me what I need to do to make you feel safe” but she just sobs harder and harder.

“Rae please, please at least tell me if we need to get you some medical help, it okay if we do, I’ll come with you, stay with you, I won’t let anybody touch you, I promise” he places another kiss on her head preying that she answers him. He gives her a minute because it feels like her sobs are calming slightly, and he knows if she isn’t crying so hard, there is a chance that she will tell him what she needs. It looks like he’s correct because soon she’s shaking her head against his chest and then she whispers; “I don’t need to go to hospital, but please don’t leave me.”

He pulls her in tighter tells her he wont leave her, he’s quiet for a few minutes, he knows he should start trying to move her, but she obviously feels safe in this room, if she wouldn’t even sit with Kester, while he made his way here. He thinks he feels relieved that she doesn’t need to go to the hospital, but the he thinks he’d much [refer her needing to go to the hospital with a minor injury, than her being like this, sat on a cold bathroom floor, scared for her life, trying to be as small as possible, while barely making a sound. This isn’t his Rae. His Rae is full of life, loud and knows what she wants.

After what probably has only been five minutes, but what feels like twenty, he asks her “what happened Rae? I thought you were at the party with Chloe, how did you get here?”

“I did go to the party, I shouldn’t have gone, I should have stayed with you. I’m sorry Finn, I’m meant to be your friend and I just left you when I you needed me”

“Hey, come on now, that’s okay, we can talk about this another time, that isn’t important now, what is important is that you’re safe. Please tell me Rae.” She starts sobbing again and he figures he should stop pressing the matter for now, but then he feels her grab is bicep a bit tighter, and he knows she’s going to tell him.

“I went to that party, and Ian and Saul were handing out a lot of drinks, I didn’t like the way Saul was holding onto me, the way he was watching me, it made me feel uneasy, so I went to the toilet, so I could, think of a way to get out, without him being able to watch me, but he came in, handed me a drink and locked the door behind him, he told me it was water, so I had a sip, and then dropped it, pretended it was an accident, but it wasn’t, it wasn’t water, it had a funny smell. He called me stupid and got pretty mad, and I told him I was sorry, he calmed down and said it was okay, and started kissing my neck. I told him No but he ignored me, pushed me into the space between the sink and the bath, and started feeling up my leg.” She stops abruptly, and my jaw is clenched, how dare he touch Rae when she says no. Rae lets out another sob, and I feel a tear drop onto my cheek, I sniff and ask her what next she takes a few deep breaths before replying, “I kept telling him No, that I wasn’t interested, and that I wanted to go home, and he lost it said he’d always wanted to have sex with a bigger lady, said that he was hard for me and that I should just touch it, pulled down his zip to show me how hard he was”… she stops and blanches, and I blanch too. This is bad already, I don’t know if ill be able to hear anymore without being sick. Before I ask anything she starts talking again “… he kept pushing me against the wall, kept trying to kiss me, kept telling me not to be frigid. I pushed him back off me and tried to escape, but he caught me, dragged me back and I slipped on the floor mat. So I left and I ran as fast as I could for as long as I could, before I flagged down a bus, he let me on, but he’s gone to the depo up the road, so I walked here.”

“Sit a bit forward for me girl” she does as he asks, he moves her hair around her head looking for any signs of injury, he notices she filches when she can’t see his movements. “Its okay Rae, I wont let anybody hurt you, you’re safe with me, I promise,” she relaxes her shoulders and softly whispers “I Know”. Once he’s sure there is no blood on her head he shifts to the side and pulls her back close.

“My dads here, how about we go back to mine, I’ll check you over and I’ll run you a bath and then you can get some sleep?”

“What if he finds me Finn.” she sobs, “What if he hurts Chloe? I shouldn’t have left without Chloe. I need to go back and get her” He pulls her in tight again before carefully choosing his words. “Look Rae, to me it sounds like you did the best you could. Chloe didn’t want to come, She didn’t feel bad when she told you No. You absolutely should have left; you know what they could have done to you Rae. You know that right? He could have done so much worse than he already has, and there is no way after a blow to the head, that you’d be able to fight off more than one. Look, lets get you sorted, I’m sure my dad will go get Chloe.”

“I need to know she’s safe Finn, it was a shitty thing of her to do but she’s still my best friend.” Rae starts sobbing again. He can’t help but be mad at Chloe, drunk or not he can’t forgive her for leaving Rae to make her way home herself. He can’t forgive her for introducing Rae to those twats.

“Okay Rae, Shhhh, look, err we’ll go out into the living room and tell my dad about Chloe, I’ll ring Chloe’s house and see if she’s home. And if she isn’t then we’ll go and find her, but you have to stay in the car with my dad okay. He wont hurt you, I promise.” She nods her head, and he feels relieved that he hasn’t had to fight any harder with her about this matter. “Are you ready to go” he asks. She doesn’t reply, but she moves off him. He finds himself missing her touch. He stands and holds out a hand for her to grab so he can help her up which she takes. He’s happy; this is something she never did while they were together, however once she stands up and she tries to walk she knocks into him. He’s quick to steady her with his arms, before realising that she must have hit her head pretty hard. He wraps her arms around his neck and tells her to hold on which she does. He lifts he and she mutters something about him being strong. He opens the bathroom door and makes his way down the small hall towards the living room, where both his dad and Kester stand from their chairs. He goes to sit Rae on the couch but she tightens her grip around his shoulders and tells him “Please don’t leave me” and he gets it. She needs to be able to touch him, she needs him to hold her and keep them away. So he sits on the couch with her cradled in his arms. He looks over to his dad who looks ever so worried now he’s seen Rae with his own eyes. He catches his dad’s eye and looks at him as if to say ‘don’t come any closer’.

“Rae love, how about we get you back to ours?” Rae hides her face deeper into Finns chest and tightens her arms around him.

Mr Nelson looks to his son as Finn speaks up; “Chloe is still at the party, and Rae thinks she might be in danger, so if you don’t mind Kester could I use your phone to call Chloe’s house?”

Mr Nelson takes a seat and sips his cold tea. He’s always been proud of Finn, but right now, his young man sat in front of him protecting the girl he loves at all costs, holding it together for her, even though Mr Nelson can tell he wants to cry, well he’s never been prouder. His thought process causes him to miss out on the scene in front of him, he only just catches his son holding the phone to Rae’s ear while she whispers something down it. Soon enough the phone call is over and Finn is standing with Rae still in his arms.

“So where is it we need to go? Do you know the address?” Mr Nelson stands, reaching into his coat pocket for his keys.

“We’re going home Da, Chloe is home in bed, Rae’s spoken to her, lets get Rae back to ours so she can rest” Finn doesn’t miss the side glance both Kester and His dad give each other, he can see the anger in both their eyes at the fact that Chloe is safe at home, and Rae has been through god knows what, he reckons that anger is reflected in his own eyes.

“Thanks for calling me Kester, I’ll make sure she’s okay from here and I’ll speak to her mum in the morning, I’m guessing Linda will be wanting to speak with you also” Finn smiles at Kester

“Thanks, for coming, I’ve given your dad my number in case you need to call me for anything.” And Finn thinks the way Kester says anything, he means if Finn needs to talk about any of tonight’s happenings too. He decides he likes Kester. He looks down at Rae to find that she is light sleeping, instead of waking her by talking he smiles at Kester and looks down to Rae to let them know she’s nodded off. Kester walks and opens the front door for them, and Mr Nelson runs to unlock and open the car doors. He holds the door open and helps Finn onto the back seat without disturbing Rae as much as possible, before closing the door quietly.

Most of the journey home, he notices that Finn doesn’t take his eyes off Rae, he also notices the tears that fall on his sons cheeks. Once home, Finn carries Rae up to his room and lays her on his bed, she comes to a bit and calls out for fin. Finn bends to stroke her hair out of her eyes before softly telling her he’s there. Rae opens her eyes and sits up she spots Mr Nelson and he makes himself useful by excusing himself to get to fixing the teas he wanted to start over two hours ago.

“I’m goanna go and run you the bath, ill be right back okay? And then once you’ve had a soak ill get you straight to bed” Rae replies “Thanks Finn”

Finn leave his room and calls down to his dad for and Ice pack and some spare towels, before moving onto the bathroom where he turns the taps on and pours in some bubble bath. He heads back to his room and helps Rae to remove her shoes, before guiding her to his bathroom. He keeps a tight grip on her, as he’s not fully confident she’ll be able to keep herself up if he wants to hold onto her. He sits her on the toilet while the bath carries on running, before heading over to the bathroom door to watch for his dad coming up the stairs.

“Here you go son, I don’t have any ice packs but frozen peas should do the trick, are you sure she doesn’t need the hospital?” before Finn can reply, Rae pipes up “I’m okay Mr Nelson, I’m sorry for being such a pain, thank you for letting me stop” Mr Nelson looks over his sons shoulder and sees Rae sat on the toilet, “its not a problem Rae, as long as you’re okay, do you need anything? Tonight has been horrible but he’s so relieved that it hasn’t ended any other way, he worries that Rae isn’t going to be able to come back from this, he worries what her mum is going to say in a few hours. The one thing he doesn’t worry about is this Twat Saul coming back, because he knows he’ll have him if he does. Gary Kisses Finns head a few times while Finn settles. Finn sniffs and wipes his eyes before speaking. “Thanks for tonight Da, I’m sorry it’s so late and you have work tomorrow. I’ve got some money, maybe you should take tomorrow off and rest and I can give you some cash so you’re not missing out on a days wage, Its probably about time I start helping out a bit more.”

Gary can’t believe the young man his son has become, he can’t help but tear up slightly, “Finn, you don’t have to do that, yes money is a bit tight at the minute but its only because of Nan’s funeral. Everything will be back to usual soon, don’t worry about me going to work tomorrow, I’m due a few days anyway” Gary smiles and pulls his son in tight again. He sets the glass down on the side of the bath and kisses the back of her head once more, before standing; he wipes his hand on the hand towel and asks, “anything else you need?”

Rae yawns and speaks “no I think I’m pretty much done in here now, could you hand me a towel please?” Finn turns and does as she asks, he turns to leave the room to give her some privacy, just as he’s about to open the door to leave Rae speaks up “Erma Finn, do you, I mean could you, its alright if not, but would you be able to help me out, I feel pretty weak.” She’s nervous he can tell, so he flashes her a reassuring smile before saying “course girl”. He hands her the towel and points to her hair, before he walks over to his draws. He pulls out a new pair of his boxers, a pair of his pyjama bottoms he’s not worn before, as he usually sleeps in his skin or boxers if the lads are around, and he digs around his bottom draw for the oasis top he got Rae at Knebworth. He never gave it to her, because he thought he’d look pathetic, but right now he’s not bothered about looking pathetic, he’d happily be pathetic all the time if it meant Rae was okay. He made his way back over to her and she’s softly towel drying her hair, he hands her the pile of clothes and excuses himself downstairs.

His dad is drinking a cuppa on the chair when Finn walks in. “Kettles just boiled, I rang Linda and told her Rae was here, that something has happened but she was okay right now and that you were making her comfortable in bed. The SPARE bed” Finn glances back at his dad with pleading eyes, he promised Rae he’d stay with her, he doesn’t want to have this argument with his dad tonight maybe, he could sleep on the floor. Gary starts to chuckle, “look son, I’m not about to move Rae to the spare room, its obvious to me that she needs you, however you’re not to tell Linda about this, and if she does find out, you make sure she knows I know nothing about it. She said she’ll be round just after mid-day to give Rae some time to rest, so that gives her at least 5 hours kip” It’s the first time Finns looked at the clock since leaving the house to go get Rae. He’s shocked to see that its gone 6am, he really should be getting Rae settled. “Thanks Da, I’m just going to get her some fresh Ice and a glass of water, do we have any paracetamol?”

Garry follows him into the Kitchen and roots through a draw pulling out a packet with a few tablets left in it. “No more than two, and I wouldn’t give Rae any until she’s slept a bit first.” Finn takes the tablets with a thanks and places them in his back pocket, he fills two glasses with water, and turns to find his dad rooting through the freezer draws, “Frozen chips will have to do this time, throw me the peas down and I’ll freeze them in case she needs them in the morning.” Finn takes the chips and calls a “night Da love you” before heading back up the stairs, he knocks on his bedroom door and rates still sat in the same place she was when he left, only this time, she’s dressed in the clothes he’s given her. He takes the frozen peas and throws them down to his dad wafting at the foot of the stairs, before standing Rae up and pulling back the covers. “In you get” he says, she slides, in and he covers her up, he doesn’t miss the panicked look she throws him “please don’t leave me Finn, please”

“I’m not, I made you a promise, I’m just going to wash my face and get changed, and I’ll be right back”

He’s imagined Rae being in his bed so many times he’s lost count. He’s never imagined her sharing his bed after anything like this though. He quickly changes, brushes his teeth and washes his face before heading back to his room and turning off his light. He turns his lamp on and gets into bed next to Rae, she turns on to her side and looks at him, so he matches her move, her eyes are shining and she looks like she’s holding in a sob, ““I won’t let anybody hurt you. You’re safe with me” he reputes his words once more to her, and that’s when he sees her tears start to fall, he moves as close as he can wrapping her in his arms once more. “You’re safe Rae, I promise, shah now, you need to sleep girl.” he places kiss after kiss on her hairline, and soon she settles into him, she makes to move back but he holds her to him “you’re fine where you are, ill be here when you wake up okay” he tells her, she lowers his head to his chest and kisses him once before laying her head there. It’s not too long before her soft snores fill the room. He stays awake for a while making sure her sleep isn’t fitful, before he drops one final kiss to her head, and closes his eyes for the rest he’s so desperately craving, he knows its going to be a rough few days.

hi, I just got my license like 2 days ago and I have a question about car insurance. My dad won't let me drive until I get insurance, but he said I have to wait until I actually get my real dirver's license card in the mail. I have a ford fester 3 doors that is insured with more than. My dad has a stroke and was getting worse as my mum or dad cannot drive I got a Peugeot 206 with 5 doors so that it would be easier for my mum and dad to get in and out of the car when taking them shopping, I also use the car when my partner is using my ford fester. My son (NAME DRIVER) uses my Peugeot 206 to go to and from college this is 3 days a week. Out of 7 days a week my son uses my Peugeot 3 days to do to college they are the only days he uses it. I use it the rest of the week. My son had a crash on the 30/09/2010 on the way home from college. The crash was not his thought as the car had just pulled out on him when the other car should have stopped. The car that crashed into his span the car around and smashed into the side of him, where the car has impacted him side (DRIVERS SIDE) the seat belt locked so my son had to climb out on the seat belt and get out the passenger side as the drivers door was smashed him. We have a witness and CCTV of what happened. When we called the insurance company (MORE THAN) they asked what happened and my son told them. They then said they will be in touch. That night we had to go to hospital as he is really has back, neck and wrist pains. It has not been 27 days since the crash and since then we have found out that we have been investigated for fraud has they are saying we lied about the amount of car in our house hold. When taking out the new insurance policy for my Peugeot I only said I have 1 car and that was the ford fester which I did, however is I was doing a new policy for me in my name I didt know I had tell them about other cars that my partner has. So basically. Im an 18 year old male. I passed my driving test in june 2013. My car insurance is too high. Now normally i wouldnt care but the reason i am asking this question is because. Basically my hubby took out insurance about 10 months ago with a new insurance company. He had 4 years no claims with his old company so informed the new company of this. The new insurance company have been taking out the payments every month from our bank however we have never had his insurance documents off them. When he contacted them the other day to query this they informed him that because the old insurance company will not supply them with no claims info they can not cover him.
