Alternative meeting between Tifa and Cloud in FFVII.
…
This is so unbelievably stupid. Her and her big mouth were going to get her in trouble one day she swears to shiva “oh, what’s that miter Lexington? Your car battery died just outside of Midgar and you need it jumpstarted! I have cables I can do it.” What the hell was wrong with her! Not only did the old coot abandon her at the gates with a “bigger emergency” but to add insult to injury he’d slapped her ass and Tifa was STILL helping him!
… maybe she’d ask Barret to shoot her next time she decided helpfulness was better than self respect. Fuck it’s warm out here.
As she pushes on past the 200 mile sign for Kalm she wonders if the car is even out here. It’s a pain in the ass to see past the waves of heat radiating from the ground and last time she was out here she’d gotten sunburned everywhere but her ass. It has been unbareable. This time she’d taken the precaution of a long duster coat and what little sunscreen she could scrounge up from Jessie’s last tour in Costa-del-sol. She’s regretting the coat now, but whatever.
Off in the distance she sees the lookout point on the Cliff and a tiny moving yellow dot told her there was a truck coming towards her from the high roads. When it approached a gentleman in a red bandana and large moustache pulled on the hand break and rolled down the window.
“Where you headed little lady?” He said and it didn’t sound snide but Tifa didn’t let her guard too much. Rule one on the ground floor: people aren’t nice for free.
“Oh just jump starting a car. I’m not in any trouble. Thanks for checking though.” She smiles disarmingly.
“Well shoot, that’s alright. You just be careful though. Was driving some boys up this way but something damn near shot out my tires and the tallish feller told me to scram. Recon there’s gon-be a shootout around these parts.” He sniffed and whipped his nose on his sleeve, making Tifa cringe internally. But he didn’t have to stop and warn her. She felt bad for being grossed out.
“Oh, okay. Thanks for telling me. How far back did you drop them off?”
As she asked a few dozen shots rang out and the sound of fast moving metal hitting metal zinged through the air.
A voice rang out from the cliff top. Tifa couldn’t make out what it was saying though.
“Cliff top… got it. I’ll stay away for now. Than you…”
“Benny.”
“Thank you Benny”
When the man had driven away Tifa eyed the cliff top, watching for a second as a figure began to back up onto it. They were going to fall if they weren’t careful. She shook her head looking up at the sky. A helecopter was coming. Shit, whatever was going on was shinra business. Maybe she’d steer a little more clear than intended…
Mr Lexingtons car was only a little further in a ditch (which he hadn’t warned her about.) but after a few good pushes and a bolt of power she was good to go. The engine was pretty much full, and with a Jerry can in the back full of Gasoline she was confident there wouldn’t be anymore problems. As she jumped into the passenger seat though she couldn’t help but look at the cliff again.
There had been a distant rumble of gunfire for a good twenty minutes now, and at some point the clang of metal had stopped and the figure seemed to have crumpled to their knees. She watched in morbid curiosity as what looked like an infantry soldier smacked the butt of their gun into the persons head.
Ouch.
The figure crumpled onto their back and Tifa heard another shot and watched horrified as the Infantry guy went to take another shot.
Surely the guy was dead?!
Against her own better Judgment she gunned the engine and made a U turn towards the Cliff. If she could just get there. Just a little further…
The last shot rang out. Fuck fuck FUCK!
She pushed down hard on the accelerator, hoping behind hope the person could hold out a little longer for help. But about two miles up the road sand blew back against the truck as that same Hellicopter that had circled took off again back to midgar. Had they shot the person and just left them there?!
The rain had started, fast and heavy now. The trucks wipers were pretty much useless against the onslaught. It was bouncing off of the parched earth like halestones on a tin roof. The sound was almost deafening.
At the top of the Hill Tifa kills the engine and hops out, pulling her Coat closer against her. It did very little to ward off the rain but it was something.
“Hello!?” She yelled into the murky air.
“Hello?! Are you out there!”
There was someone at the edge of the cliff. They looked like they were wearing shoulder pads or paldrons. A soldier maybe? She hesitates for a second when a hand reaches up from the ground and pulls the other person down to their chest. It’s the guy who was shot. She can’t hear them. Not even a little. Maybe they can’t hear her either.
Before she can think better of this oh so stupid decision she keeps moving forward towards them. The body on the ground moves again, lifting something from next to them. A pipe maybe? No a sword. It’s a sword… fuck it looks bad. The hand slips and falls and Tifa tries to fight against the rain and the mud that is churning under her boots.
“Hello-“ her second attempt to call out is cut off by a scream from the second figure who’s head is tilted back towards the sky. Something is seriously wrong here and Tifa starts running as the second figure crumpled and clings to the body on the ground.
She drops to her knees when she’s there but thinks better of touching the perso-
“Cloud?! Oh gods Cloud is that you?!”
The person climbing to the body has spikey blond hair that Tifa would know anywhere, simply because it was so unique. He’s small and looks sickly, his face drenched in blood. It’s not his blood she thinks it’s-
She’s going to be sick. She’s going to throw up because the body on the ground is someone she knows. She knew. Fuck whatever! The body on the ground is First Class Sooldier Zack Fair.
“Oh gods Cloud what happened to both of you?!” She reaches out to touch him and Cloud Flinches clinging to the body harder. He’s scared she realises. Whatever happened to them… it must have been bad.
“Cloud it’s Tifa. You know me. Cloud? Im so sorry for your loss but we can’t stay here, those people might come back we have to-“
“NO!” Cloud cages the body under him and snarls at her almost feral with grief. Gods he really is covered in blood. There are morbid tear and rain tracks down his face like a terrible kabuki mask and it makes her shiver.
“Cloud… it’s me. It’s Tifa. You know me. Please Cloud. It’s me.”
He manages to look like he’s a stray dog with his hackles raised as he stares at her. The longer he stares the lower his shoulders seem to drop… the more confused and afraid he seems.
“Ti- Ti-fa?”
“Yes! Yeah Cloud it’s me. It’s Tifa Lockhart. You remember me? From the village?”
He nods hesitantly.
“Good. Okay good. That’s great. Do you trust me enough to get in my car?”
Cloud clings to Zack again, and Tifa swallows the bile rising in her throat as the sick squelch of blood on skin seems to echo.
“He… Zack… He… comes… too.”
Fuck, she’s so not getting paid for this. Blood in a truck that’s not even hers? Does it even matter? This was her friend. The only person from Nibelhiem who had ever been unaccounted for.
Did he know about that? Did he know about his mom? About her dad? That Zack had been there? That his hero sephiroth had killed them? Killed them all!
She holds out her hand and telegraphs her movements taking Zacks pulse…
…..
……..
………..
BADUM……………..
………..
…….
BADUM.
Holy mother of Minerva this guy is still alive!
“Shit! Okay, yeah! Okay We can take him! Can you walk on your own? I can’t carry him and you. I’m strong but aim not two dead weight supersoldiers strong.”
Cloud shifted and blinked. He was still Gripping the sword.
“We can bring that too.” She offered gently. He didn’t look like he was about to let go of it any time soon.
“I’ll…. Be… his living…. Legacy….”
“Oh cloud…”
Tifa gets to her feet, her knee highs covered in tacky red clay mud. Bending at the knees she lifts Fair bridal style, trying not to agfitate his wounds. His head lolls back limply. She really hopes they can get back in time to save him.
“Alright Fair, don’t die on me. You owe me for bringing that psycho to my village, and I’ll be pissed if your too dead to say sorry…”
Zack doesn’t react, but a pale bloody hand reaches for his face. Cloud wipes the blood away the best he can.
“Live…. Please….”
Tifa chews on her lip nervously. They needed to get back to midgar. Now.
Getting them both in the Truck Tifa guns the engine and steps on it.
Gods she hopes this is enough.

Peace and Harry's Peace Ring
One Direction had a tour break starting in Harry's hometown of Manchester on the 20 April 2013. He arrived in LA alone on the 23rd without the ring (left). It was first seen when he left LA on the 28 April 2013 (right). It was only a 9 day break between the UK and Paris, the rest of the band stayed in the UK.
20 April - One Direction perform in Manchester, no ring. This performance is in This is Us (37 minutes in) when they sing Teenage Dirtbag in Manchester 20 April. Taylor in Tampa (Red Tour, I almost do Surprise Song) and starts a 5 day break.
21 April - Harry stayed with his mum who beat him a scrabble, he posted the board to Instagram and saw friends
22 April - When the Holmes Chapel/Bakery scenes are shot for This is Us. (no ring)
23 April - Harry arrives alone in LA without the ring
24 April - Neither Harry or Taylor seen.
25 April - First day Ring is seen. Harry has dinner with Rod Stewart, Rod then plays the Troubadour and Harry stayed at Rod Stewarts house. You can see the ring in photo holding a doggy bag. Taylor in Cleveland (The best day surprise song)
26 April - Harry attends an Instagram party in LA, leaves at 9 and posts photos with Instagram and Facebook execs. Celebs post photos with him, his hand is hidden in photos. It's the anniversary of Facebook's acquisition. Taylor in Indianapolis. (Mine)
27 April - Taylor in Lexington. (Our Song)
28 April - Harry posts photo of sunglasses on beach. Taylor photographed in a gym in Los Angles. Harry leaves LAX wearing the ring and there is an absolutely insane mob because he is there alone with no security.
29 April - Arrives in Paris alone, still wearing ring, described as a riot. The ring is in This is Us in Paris
So we don't know, I actually think he bought the ring himself as a reminder, but it could have been a gift.
Louis stayed in the UK, he rode the Orient Express in London with Eleanor and her mum on 26 April, 3 days before the Paris show. To be clear, Louis, was in the UK and Harry in the US when he got it.
Have Harry or Taylor marked 22 - 24 April
I don't think it is an anniversary, but they have marked it, at first it was Harry, but he stopped when Taylor started dating Calvin and Joe. Taylor stopped and he stopped wearing the ring after she released Peace.
2012 - 23rd Taylor's instagram story about him kissing a girl in NZ and they broke up. Harry then got the Never Gonna Dance Again tattoo (song about regretting infidelity). So in 2013 he got the ring on the anniversary of this - Maybe it represents being faithful, an agreement of some sort or about insane media about them.
2013 - Harry went to LA and started wearing the ring
2014 - Harry's fern Tattoos were first seen (healed) on 26 April covering "might as well..." on his lower hip.
2016 - 23rd Harry tweeted "it's not the Ribbons in your Hair" Cars - Just what I Needed lyrics, about not minding anything because a person is who they needed.
2018 - 23rd Taylor played Angels with Robbie Williams at Wembley.
2019 - 23rd Taylor played Time 100 show w/Style, Delicate & NYD
2020 -23rd Taylor shared a photo of Olivia. Folklore 24 July.
2023 - 23rd Taylor Eras surprise song - Begin Again from Red
Wish You Would and Clean
Taylor wrote Wish you Would while on tour in May 2013 "it's about this guy that drives down the street and passes his ex-girlfriend's house and he thinks she hates him but she doesn't."
On 18 May Taylor posted Roses to IG and with a Gatsby quote that things do not grow.
Clean was written 10 months after Harry started wearing the Peace Ring, on 9 February 2014. "Ten months older, I won't give in / Now that I'm clean, I'm never gonna risk it"
Harry wore the Peace Ring pretty consistently
Harry wore on his left ring or middle finger pretty consistently up to 2020 and played with it when singing romantic songs or in interviews.
Taylor wrote Peace in 2020
It is thought of as a promise ring, to me I think Harry and Taylor agreed to be together in the future, when they were less famous. Taylor foreshadowed Lover in the Red Liner notes and planned the album when she was 30. Closer to the time saying she thought it would one of her last. It wasn't though, and Folklore was largely about her feelings about Harry and included Peace.
Peace is about Taylor's fame making it difficult to love her. It references to Joe Alwyn's brother in the second verse, which Harry doesn't have so it's not thought to be about Harry. However, the first verse with coming of age also doesn't work for Joe who was 25 when they met, but does if you made a promise to an 19 year old 8 years earlier. I think the first verse may explain why Harry stopped wearing the ring a few months after it came out:
"Our coming-of-age has come and gone / Suddenly, this summer, it's clear / I never had the courage of my convictions" [...] "'Cause it lives in me / No, I could never give you peace" [...] All these people think love's for show / But I would die for you in secret / The devil's in the details, but you got a friend in me / Would it be enough if I could never give you peace?"
It was replaced by the Pearl ring in March 2021
Harry started wearing the pearl ring in March 2021, below you can see he has worn them together sometimes. The Peace ring has appeared a few times after the pandemic:
Bowery Ballroom Session for Fine Line February 29 2020 and in the Vogue Cover in December. Last pre-pandemic show at the Bowery, it's on his Right Index finger.
7 September 2021 and again 2022. This could mark 2012, after the VMAs between 6 September sushi date and a weekend in Paris on the 28th September. Or, possibly 2019 - They were both at Ed Sheeran's wedding on 7 September, Joe left for Toronto and Taylor went to Paris where she filmed City of Lover on the 9th. Harry wasn't seen from the wedding on the 7th until the 12th. Joe was in Canada Taylor makes heart eyes at someone high in the audience.
He wore it the day before their 20 May anniversary on the Today show appearance on May 19 and Harry's House release.
7, 8, 9, 11, 15, 22, 27, 28, 29, 30, September 2022, LOT shows (MPM press)
2, 3, 6, 8, 9 and 10 October 2022, LOT shows
Last seen Love on Tour wrap up being tipped out of a bag
Harry had worn a ring in the past, on 13 February 2012 Harry wore a ring to dinner with the whole band in Paris. It looks darker than the Peace ring, but can't really be seen. He didn't wear it in interviews the next day or wear rings reliably till 2013.

Official Blondie Ball Of Confusion 2024 Tour Concert T Shirt Only three of the 2957 Plymouth dealers in 1999 were not also Chrysler dealers, so very few dealers were impacted by the decision to streamline the Official Blondie Ball Of Confusion 2024 Tour Concert T Shirt. And many of these 2957 also sold Dodge, so they could easily show the Dodge versions to interested buyers who did not want the Chrysler trim levels. When Mercedes evaluated Chrysler after the acquisition in 1998, the Plymouth brand was a logical sacrifice to save money and give the remaining brands unique attraction. Unit sales had been low for over a decade, less than half the equivalent Dodge model volumes, and the corporate executives calculated some level of network efficiencies to be had from canceling the Plymouth brand and streamlining the portfolios. After a year of internal discussions, the decision to end Plymouth was announced in November 1999. The last Plymouth brand Neon vehicles were produced in June 2001. The remaining brands had distinctive positions: Dodge (standard, performance), Jeep (SUV, fun), Chrysler (American luxury), and Mercedes (specialized European luxury), plus the super-luxury Maybach brand.

During this night we reached the Blink 182 August 1st 2024 Rupp Arena Lexington, KY Shirt of the Tannu Ola and descended again into a valley covered with dense bushes and twined with a whole network of small rivers and streams. It was the headwaters of the Buret Hei. About one o’clock we stopped and began to feed our horses, as the grass just there was very good. Here we thought ourselves in safety. We saw many calming indications. On the mountains were seen the grazing herds of reindeers and yaks and approaching Soyots confirmed our supposition. Here behind the Tannu Ola the Soyots had not seen the Red soldiers. We presented to these Soyots a brick of tea and saw them depart happy and sure that we were “Tzagan,” a “good people.
The Officer Tatum Switch Up Shirt As Rugby Union starts to gather a bit of The Officer Tatum Switch Up Shirt in the US, some professional players from the rest of the world are beginning to come into it. One of the highest profile signings so far is probably Ben Foden, who has 34 appearances for England to his name. Ben has signed for Rugby United New York for the 2019 season. If club rugby gains a foothold in the USA, it may start to see American Football players, particularly those who play for their college but aren’t drafted to the NFL switching sports, as there is no real opportunity to play to a high standard and be paid after college outside the NFL that I’m aware of.

Alex Miller Strikes Hopeful Note With Upbeat Love Song, “Girl, I Know A Guy”
Alex Miller’s new single, “Girl, I Know A Guy,” is an upbeat love song that strikes a hopeful note with traditional instrumentation and a modern theme. Taste Of Country premiered the tune earlier this week and writer Sterling Whitaker calls the track “pure Country goodness.” He adds, “The former American Idol contestant draws from Country’s golden age for this one.” “Girl, I Know A Guy” follows Miller’s rowdy and successful single, “When God Made The South,” and will be included on his second project, produced by Jerry Salley for Billy Jam Records, due in October. The song was written by NSAI Hall of Famer Walt Aldridge, Tim Rushlow (lead vocalist, Little Texas) and Danny Orton (Tim McGraw, Dan + Shay, Reba). Miller’s booming voice brings nuance and charm to a straightforward lyric about a guy offering the girl who has everything a chance for something more … love. You’ve got it going on More than fine on your own It’s not like you need someone to show you how it’s done But if you ever change your mind Girl, I Know A Guy Let me show you what you’re missing let me be your something more Do some dancing in the kitchen let me open all your doors We could tear down all your walls brick by brick watch ‘em fall Wanna know what love feels like? Girl, I Know A Guy (Aldridge/Rushlow/Orton) Fans can pre-save and pre-add “Girl, I Know A Guy” now. “Girl, I Know A Guy” gives Miller a chance to continue pushing his musical boundaries. “I love trying new things,” Alex notes. “This record reminds me of the Eddy Arnold hit “You Don’t Know Me” (written by Cindy Walker), but with a real modern twist,” Alex continues. “It’s an in-your-face contemporary love song that leaves the listener in suspense. I don’t know if the guy gets the girl, but I do know he’s there for her if she needs him. There’s plenty of fiddle and steel guitar throughout – and that’s my kind of Country.” Alex is spreading his kind of Country far and wide this year, with tour dates pouring in. Facebook Twitter Boston is famous for a lot of things: the Boston Red Sox, the Freedom Trail, Harvard and MIT, and the famous Boston Tea Party, the event that kicked off the American Revolutionary War.We spent almost one full week touring Boston and the nearby towns and we were amazed by how much there is to do here. In just Boston alone, we came up with a list of 30 things to do! If you are planning a trip to Boston, here is our long list of things to do in the city. At the end of this post we have recommendations as to how to plan your time here, whether you have 1, 2, or more days to spend in this historic city.Table of Contents30 Things to Do in Boston#1 Buy the Boston Go CardThe Boston Go Card is an all-inclusive pass that gets you into most attractions in the city and in nearby towns, like Plymouth, Lexington, and Concord. It is available for 1, 2, 3, 5, or 7 days.We purchased the 5-day pass. During our visit to Boston, I added up the cost of all of the attractions we visited with the Go Card and we saved over $100 per person!Plus, it is convenient showing your pass at the ticket booths, rather than paying by credit card or cash over and over again. And if lines are long, at some attractions you can bypass the lines by using the Go Card VIP lines or waiting in the shorter will-call lines. We ordered our pass online before arriving in Boston. Install their app on your smartphone. In this app you can access your Go Card pass and read about the 41 included attractions in the guide. At each attraction, just show the ticket attendant your pass via this app. It’s so easy to use.I recommend printing a copy of your Go Card pass just to have as a back up.There are two versions of the Go Card. The All-Inclusive Pass, discussed above, gives you access to all of the sights on the pass. You can visit as many sights as you like during the period of time your pass is valid. The Explorer Pass is better for those who plan to only visit a few sights, since this pass gives you access to 2, 3, 4, or 5 attractions. For more information or to order your Go Card, click here.#2 The Freedom TrailIf you do one thing in Boston it should be a walk on the Freedom Trail. The American Revolution began in Boston. The Freedom Trail is a 2.5-mile route that takes you to 16 historical sites that were important during this war. Take a walk back in time as you visit meetinghouses, burial grounds, Paul Revere’s house, and the Old North Church.Faneuil Hall and the Samuel Adams statue | Best Things to Do in BostonYou can walk the Freedom Trail on your own or take a tour. How to Walk the Freedom Trail without Taking a TourWe chose to walk it on our own. I installed the Freedom Walk app on my phone so I had the route through Boston. We printed out the Freedom Walk Trail brochure, which provided information on each of the 16 sites. At each stop, we took turns reading about what we were visiting. Joining a tour probably would have provided more information, but for us, it was nice to explore the Freedom Trail at our own pace.It took us about 4 hours to walk the entire Freedom Trail, including quick breaks along the way.I would recommend taking a break halfway through the walk, just to recharge your batteries. Faneuil Hall and Quincy Markets are good places to grab a quick bite to eat and rest your feet for a little bit.We started at Boston Common and ended at Bunker Hill. If you are looking for a place for lunch or dinner, consider Warren Tavern, a historic tavern located just a few blocks from Bunker Hill. It’s the perfect end to a day on the Freedom Trail.READ MORE: Tips for Walking the Freedom Trail#3 Fenway ParkFenway Park is another must-see site in Boston. If you are here during the summer months, consider watching a game here. Even if you are not a baseball fan, a visit to Fenway Park is still well worth your time.Originally, we wanted to watch a game at Fenway. However, the cheapest tickets I could find were over $70 per person. We are not baseball fans so instead we chose to take a tour (at a much more budget friendly price, and it is included on the Go Card!). This tour was one of the highlights during our visit to Boston.Fenway Park is the oldest Major League baseball park that is still in use. It opened in 1912 and the first game took place just 5 days after the Titanic sunk. During a tour, stand atop the Green Monster, take in the view from the press box, and learn a lot of interesting facts about Fenway Park.Fenway Park | Best Things to Do in Boston#4 Take in the View from the Skywalk ObservatoryFor an aerial view over the city, visit the Skywalk Observatory. Get 360° views over Boston. There are lots of included exhibits about the history of Boston.Location: 800 Boylston Street, in the Prudential Center Boston#5 Boston CommonThe Boston Common is the oldest public park in the USA. This was once a pasture for sheep, then became the training grounds for militia during the Revolutionary War, and more recently has been the site for public speeches by Martin Luther King JR and Pope John Paul II.If you walk the Freedom Trail, you will start or end on the Boston Common.#6 Eat your way through BostonBoston is home to some excellent restaurants. The North End is Boston’s “Little Italy.” Dine on wonderful Italian food and definitely check out Regina Pizzeria, home to the best pizza in town.Lobster rolls are delicious and numerous restaurants claim to have the best in town. Our favorite spot was James Hook & Co.Other restaurants we recommend are Neptune Oyster (amazing fresh seafood and oysters), JP Licks (best ice cream in town), and Toro (a tapas restaurant that reminded Tim and I of Barcelona).#7 HarvardHarvard | Best Things to Do in BostonTake a trip just across the Charles River to Harvard. Harvard was the first college founded in the US in 1636. Take a stroll through Harvard Yard and while you are here, you can tour the Peabody Museum of Archaeology or the Harvard Museum of Natural History (both are included on the Boston Go Card).#8 MIT MuseumSitting right next door to Harvard is MIT. We visited the MIT Museum, a must-see for Tyler, with his interest in robotics and technology.MIT Museum | Best Things to Do in BostonThis is a small museum and takes about an hour for a visit. Holograms, robots, and scientific prototypes fill this museum.#9 Acorn StreetAcorn Street | Best Things to Do in BostonQuick to visit, a walk on this narrow, cobblestoned street is like stepping back in time. Located in Beacon Hill, a walk on Acorn Street can be combined with visits to nearby Boston Public Garden and the Cheers bar.#10 Boston Public GardenThe Boston Public Garden sits right next to Boston Common. The Boston Public Garden is gorgeous. Stroll around the lake, walk across the world’s smallest suspension bridge, go for a jog, or ride one of the Swan Boats.Boston Public Garden | Best Things to Do in Boston#11 Cheers, Where Everybody Knows Your NameOK, this one is a bit of a tourist trap. Located in Beacon Hill next to the Boston Public Garden is the Cheers bar. This is the bar that served as the inspiration for the setting of the TV show Cheers. On our visit, we were a bit disappointed to walk in and feel like we were in a restaurant like TGI Fridays. This was not what we had in mind at all.If you are looking for a bar with a more local vibe, this is not your place. But if you are a Cheers fan or want to check it out, pop in for a drink or take a photo. There is a second Cheers location in Boston at the Faneuil Hall Marketplace. This bar opened in 2001 and is a replica of the TV set.#12 Mapparium: See the World like it’s 1935We loved this!!The Mapparium is a three-story stained glass globe that was constructed in 1935. The map has never been updated, so you can see the world with its political boundaries as it was before World War II.From a glass catwalk that spans the globe, view the globe from the inside out. I felt like I could stare at this map forever; it was just so fascinating to see just how much the world has changed.Mapparium | Best Things to Do in BostonOne of the coolest parts about the Mapparium is the acoustics. This is a “whispering gallery,” where one person whispers and people at the other end of the bridge can hear what they are saying. It’s wild and makes this visit even more fun.Location: Mary Baker Eddy Library#13 Go Whale WatchingJust off the coast of Cape Cod is the Stellwagen Bank Marine Sanctuary, a feeding site for humpback whales, right whales, dolphins, and other marine life. The New England Aquarium offers daily whale watching cruises between March and November.View of the Boston skyline during the cruise | Best Things to Do in BostonThis was an awesome experience. We boarded a catamaran and cruised for an hour and a half out to the tip of Cape Cod. We could see Provincetown just off in the distance. For one hour we watched with amazement as 20 different humpback whales made appearances near our boat, breaching, feeding, and swimming along the surface of the water. We saw so many whales that even the naturalist on board our boat was amazed.Length of time: 4 hoursWhen to go: March to November, peak season is August#14 Rose Fitzgerald Kennedy GreenwayIt’s got a big name, but the Rose Fitzgerald Kennedy Greenway is a strip of gardens and walking trails through the heart of Boston. We walked on the Greenway almost every day we were in Boston, since it connects Seaport Boulevard with the harbor, Faneuil Hall, and the North End.View from the Greenway | Best Things to Do in Boston#15 Take a Duck Tour of BostonThe Duck Tour covers all of the major sites in Boston. Cruise past Boston Common, Faneuil Hall, the Old State House, the Boston Public Library, and Beacon Hill. The boats also enter the Charles River for views of the Cambridge and Boston skylines.Tours last 80 minutes and this is a great way to get an overview of the city or see a lot of the most popular sites in a short period of time, perfect for those with just a day or two in Boston. We did not take the Duck Tour since we walked to most of the included sites on our own. But we did see the boats all over town.Visit the Boston Duck Tours website for more information.#16 Boston Public LibraryBoston Public Library | Best Things to Do in BostonThe Boston Public Library is located next to Copley Square in the Back Bay area of Boston. It is heralded as one of the best public libraries in the US. Highlights include the Roman style courtyard and art murals by John Singer Sargent. This can be a quick visit if you just wander through the library or you could spend hours here. They even offer guided tours.Location: 700 Boylston StreetCost: Free!#17 New England Holocaust MemorialThe New England Holocaust Memorial is dedicated to the six million Jewish people who were killed in Nazi Germany during World War II. Visitors walk through six glass towers. Engraved on the glass panels of the towers are the identification numbers of those killed during the Holocaust.New England Holocaust Memorial | Best Things to Do in BostonWe visited the Holocaust Memorial during the afternoon of August 14. Just a few hours later the Memorial was vandalized. A 17-year-old man threw a rock at the Memorial, breaking one of the glass panels. We returned the following day. Flowers and candles now stood in front of the missing glass panel and the Memorial was being guarded by police officers. This was the second time the Holocaust Memorial was vandalized that summer, and there have only been two such incidences since its construction in 1995.Peaceful demonstration held after the Holocaust Memorial vandalismLocation: 98 Union Street, near Faneuil Hall and just a few steps off of the Freedom TrailCost: Free#18 The Greenway CarouselIf you are traveling with kids, add the Greenway Carousel to your list of places to visit. This is not your typical carousel. Animals indigenous to the area, such as lobsters, sea turtles, whales, squirrels, and owls, are found on this carousel. It’s a fun, quick break for the whole family.Location: The Rose Fitzgerald Kennedy Greenway, near Faneuil Hall and Christopher Columbus Waterfront Park#19 The Isabella Stewart Gardner MuseumIsabella Steward Gardner Museum | Best Things to Do in BostonIsabella Stewart Gardner was a unique woman, a woman ahead of her time. Born in a well-to-do family, Isabella became a world traveler. She collected art and artifacts from around the world and then built a home/museum to display this artwork. Now, the public can tour this gorgeous, eclectic museum.I will admit, art museums are not what we seek out when we travel. This one is different. Just the building itself is a joy to wander through. But the artifacts Isabella collected are astounding, including paintings by famous artists and ancient artifacts from around the world. We really enjoyed this art museum. In 1990, more than $500 million worth of artwork was stolen from the museum, making it the biggest art heist in history. It still remains unsolved today.Location: 25 Evans Way, near the Museum of Fine Arts and Fenway Park#20 The Museum of Fine ArtsAgain, we were pleasantly surprised. This art museum is amazing. It’s also gigantic. It would take a day to tour the entire building. With ancient artwork and artifacts from Egypt (including panels of hieroglyphics from Giza), art from around the world, paintings, sculptures, and contemporary art, there is something here for everyone.Location: 465 Huntington Avenue, within walking distance of the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum#21 The Quincy MarketThe Quincy Market is part of the Faneuil Hall Marketplace. Filled with food vendors and small shops, this is a bit touristy, but it is also a great place to get good, cheap food. With its central location in Boston, this makes a great spot to grab a bite to eat while you are touring the city.#22 Walk or Jog along the Charles River EsplanadeCharles River Esplanade | Best Things to Do in BostonThe Charles River Esplanade is a walking trail along the Charles River, located near the Back Bay region. From here, enjoy views across the Charles River to Cambridge.#23 Take a Brewery TourWhile in Boston, you have the option to tour the Samuel Adams Brewery or the Harpoon Brewery. Both breweries are located a bit far from the city center of Boston, but you can get here by taxi or Uber. The Samuel Adams Brewery is located near the Stony Brook station on the MBTA orange line.#24 The Boston Marathon Finish LineThe Boston Marathon has always been a historic running event, but this site became even better known after the Boston bombing that occurred during the 2013 Boston Marathon. The finish line is permanently painted on Boylston Street, just outside of the Boston Public Library.#25 Newbury and Marlborough StreetsIn Back Bay, spend some time walking through the neighborhoods on Newbury Street, Marlborough Street, and Commonwealth Avenue. Townhouses line the streets and a tree-lined path runs through the center of Commonwealth Avenue. It’s a beautiful area for a quick stroll or a leisurely afternoon of sightseeing.#26 Boston Tea Party Ships and MuseumThe Boston Tea Party Ships and Museum is a 75-minute tour that takes visitors on an interactive learning experience about the Boston Tea Party. Learn about the events leading up to this historic night, tour a replica of one of the merchant vessels, and even throw the tea overboard. This is a tour that is great for kids and adults.Location: Congress Street Bridge#27 The JFK Presidential Library and MuseumThis museum is a great place to learn about the life of President John F. Kennedy. It is filled with videos and artifacts from his life and the 1960’s. This museum has a spectacular setting right on the waterfront.Location: Columbia Point. Get here via the MBTA Red Line or by car#28 The North EndThe North End is Boston’s “Little Italy.” During the afternoons and evenings, this area gets very lively, as people flock to the numerous restaurants and bars. We were no different, and we ate here a lot. Some of our favorite places were Regina Pizzeria, Neptune Oyster, Mike’s Pastry, and Giacomo’s.Paul Revere’s House | Best Things to Do in BostonAlso in the North End are Paul Revere’s house and the Old North Church. Both are located on the Freedom Trail and they are places definitely worth visiting because of their historical importance. The Old North Church is where the lanterns were hung on Paul Revere’s famous midnight ride.#29 The New England AquariumThe Aquarium is a fun place to visit, especially if you are traveling with kids. Our favorite exhibits were the penguins and we were here right during feeding time. Various IMAX movies are offered throughout the day and you can participate in one of the animal encounter activities.Location: 1 Central Wharf#30 The Boston Public MarketNot to be confused with the Quincy Market and the Faneuil Hall Marketplace, the Boston Public Market is wonderful. This is the place to go for fresh produce, gourmet pastries, amazing donuts, and homemade bread. This market is quieter and has more of an upscale feel to it than Faneuil Hall Marketplace. I really liked it here and I will be back the next time I get to Boston.Organizing Your TimeSo, that’s a lot to do in Boston, right? How should you organize your time? One Day in BostonWith one day in Boston, I recommend walking the Freedom Trail. Along the way, you could make quick detours to the Holocaust Memorial or restaurants in the North End. Spend the second half of the day touring Fenway Park or watching a baseball game here. Then have dinner and spend the night out on the town. Two Days in BostonOn your second day in Boston, visit the Back Bay area, starting at the Isabella Stewart Gardner and Fine Arts Museums. Then visit the Mapparium, Skywalk Observatory, and the Boston Public Library. Stroll through the Back Bay neighborhoods on Newbury and Marlborough Streets, visit Beacon Hill, and have a drink at the Cheers bar.Three Days in BostonTake your pick of what interests you the most, whether it is whale watching, the JFK Library, making the short trip over to Harvard and MIT, or taking a brewery tour.Four Days in BostonWith more time in Boston, consider taking a day trip out to Plymouth (to see the famous Plymouth Rock and to tour the Plimoth Plantation) or to Lexington and Concord for more Revolutionary War history. You can even take a day trip to Cape Cod, a great way to spend the day during the summer months.Have you been to Boston? What are your favorite things to do? Hope Scarborough
Snow, sleet, and chilly temperatures greeted us outside the hotel this morning in Boston and seemed to follow us throughout the day. The morning started with a visit to the Bunker Hill monument in Charlestown, Massachusetts where one of the first major battles of the revolutionary war between the American patriots and the British red coats took place. We have learned so much in school about the revolutionary war and the battles that took place during the war, so it was fascinating to see these places in person. In many ways, it brought the history of the war to life and made it a reality.
The second half of the morning was spent on the USS Constitution, which was built in Boston in 1797! There were three different decks on the ship. The first deck is the top of the ship that is outside in the crisp, open air. On the second deck, there were 30 cannons, and each one weighed around 6,000 pounds each! Back in the day, it took 14 men to work one cannon! The third deck, the lowest deck, is where all of the men slept. The funny thing about the third deck is that the ceilings are super low. I had to duck down to walk around, and I am short! Overall, the USS Constitution was a very fun experience.
After lunch, we drove through part of the Harvard University campus as we made our way to the Lexington and Concord tour. I do not have much to say about the tour except for the fact that it lasted 3 hours and our very zealous historian tour guides had A LOT to say. We only heard every detail about the entire Boston tea party at least 3 different times throughout the tour! If you need a better understanding about how we felt, just look at a few of the last pictures… especially the picture of all of us sitting against the wall. Our faces show it all!
Our time at Lexington and Concord concluded our time in Boston. Our day finished off with a nice 4 hour drive to the Big Apple. Boston brought so many lasting memories that I will always cherish! Next up — New York City!

Why a Handmade Barbecue Sauce Formula is an American Favorite
Called after the buffalo that when etched trails throughout the land, the Buffalo Track site has been house to an operating distillery since 1787, having its first contemporary distillery accomplished in 1857 by Daniel Swigert Property. Clement & Ashton Craig ordered the Distillery in 1859 and then in 1970, it had been acquired by Edmund Taylor, Jr., who dedicated to their modernization and named it O.F.C. Distillery, which stood for Old Fire Copper.George Stagg acquired O.F.C. in 1878 and extended the site. Further expansions, additions, buys, and renaming occurred over the years and the Distillery produced alcohol for both World Conflict efforts and medicinal whiskey all through Prohibition.
Right after making their five-millionth barrel following Prohibition, the Distillery was acquired with a New York investor class in 1982, and in 1984, it produced the world's first commercially sold Simple Barrel Bourbon named Blanton's. In 1992, the Distillery becomes a family group organization again following being ordered by the Goldrings. In 1999, following renovations, the Distillery was renamed the Buffalo Track Distillery and released Buffalo Track Kentucky Right Bourbon.
Today your website of the Buffalo Track Distillery rests on 119 miles and is house to 114 structures with three centuries of architectural styles. Extremely, it's the sole distillery to possess number pcs in the however house and to be named both "Distillery of the Year" by Malt Advocate Newspaper and "Distiller of the Year" by Whiskey Magazine.Since the first 1800's, Kentucky's popular distilleries have constructed the world's best bourbons, using secret dishes and a long-established method handed down from technology to generation. From Clermont to Bardstown, Lawrenceburg to Loretto, Louisville to Lexington, we have the down and filthy on the best way to play difficult and live well in Bourbon Walk Country.Looking for that perfect vacation place near Louisville or Lexington, Kentucky? Or searching for that perfect recreational experience to be on, whether it's touring distilleries, sipping Kentucky bourbon, or exploring regional horse facilities? Paper Plane Cocktail
If there's one thing that might explain the way in which Americans enjoy their meals, it's how they take their barbeque sauce very seriously. There are a variety of methods barbeque sauces are organized and it all hangs on what area of the place you belong to. Some will be quite content with the multitude bottled kinds for sale in groceries or niche stores while others demand on only good old house model barbeque sauce recipes. While many Americans choose a barbeque sauce menu that's red and sweet, a number of sauces do come in several flavors, varieties of preparation, foundation elements, and consistencies, and it all hangs on where in fact the sauce originated. Some would like their sauce heavy and sweet based on tomatoes or mustard while others have a desire for a significantly finer, vinegar centered sauce.

(@partialsun responding in a rb cause replies kept hitting me with character limit...)
Absolutely there's so many beautiful things to see on the east side of our handsome state! Arguably most would say the east is much more beautiful & has way more to offer in terms of outdoors activities than the west of KY... i think central KY has a lot to offer too but- yeah-
I'd say, if you're looking to stay north east then the entire Carter Caves area has some quaint hikes + there's like ermm 30 caves i think? I remember touring 3 of them when i camped out there once. It's a fun little spot!
Uhmm I don't consider it East KY but a spot relatively north/central and pushin East that's just absolutely rife with beautiful views and trails to hike is the whole red river gorge geological area. In that entire strip of parks the north most point i thiiink is about near morehead KY which is a college town ofc... it's a cute area. there's tons of archways through the whole geo-region though, lots of good hiking, everything is usually pretty well maintained. it's where i've camped the most when going out.
In the south there's places like black mountain and the region around the pine mountain settlement school, there's stuff like chainrock (highly recommend, short hike and just a fun bit of local folklore thing) bad branch state park has good hiking it's down near whitesburg ky. There's kenetia state forest, Daniel Boone National is in the south near east-ish of ky... there's kingdom come state park near cumberland ky (in harlan county, not to be mistaken for cumberland falls or the portions of the gap we have in ky) there's the hindman settlement school area.... I live in central KY ≈1 hour south of lexington, so I frequent those places nearby to me the most, and can certainly say we have nice hiking out in the knobs area :•) here's some silly jpgs i collected up though since i don't have a comprehensive list of all the spots in KY (especially east KY) that i've visited, but just know... there's SO much to do in this state it's a crazy and beautiful place! Like if you wanted historic sites or museums that'd be an entire other list y'know? We're rife with stuff to go look at lol... but anyway! Here's some jpg
Generally the "geologic" areas will have good hiking, and the caves too since they require sandstone caps to form :-) so you'll get nice views usually in these regions.
And as a treat if you're interested most of our state parks are historic sites tbh... but looking through things per county is pretty good to do if you're looking to stay east, especially if you need to stick more north or south. as you can see East KY is saturated lol...
When i see anyone on the internet from KY or see KY things mentioned online i always get soooo happy but the unfortunate thing is usually when KY is mentioned online it's just rudeness or people beinf really weird about our cave(s) and imo disrespectful
