I know you probably get a million of these messages but I just finished The Rebel Path and it's so so good. I started reading cyberpunk fics to cope with the endings and the lack of Johnny romance and you literally delivered the most perfect solution to that possible like not only is it phenomenally well written it blends so seamlessly with canon that I legitimately can't tell at times what's the game and what's your embellishments to the canon scenes.

Anyway I know in all your ao3 messages you say you're working on those last four chapters and I really hope that's still true because I think it'd be a shame to leave a work as fantastic as yours hanging when you're so close to the finish line! Hopefully life clears up for you soon and you get some time to write again! As a fellow fic writer I know how hard it can be sometimes and I've got my fingers crossed for you!!

A lot of the pro-veilguard arguments I see include a very specific way of viewing what “dark fantasy” is which misses the entire point as to why there are criticisms about the overall tone of the game.

Dark fantasy is not just “how much murder rape bigotry and overall suffering can we put in a story for the sake of doing so”.

It’s about having events and themes based off of the darker parts of reality and then, as the player, being able to do something about it. The general appeal is the catharsis. It’s about seeing these stories reflected through an interactive story in a meaningful, respectful, purposeful way.

Is dragon age the poster child for handling its complicated, real-life-inspired politics well? No. But veilguard was somehow worse. The bar was in hell and it still tripped flat on its face.

Veilguard’s lackadaisical, chronically ironic “well THAT just happened”, neutered writing and theme is not a good argument as to why this is a good dragon age game, and you can’t blame the dark fantasy genre for it.

Hands got to the rendering of Mitt'raw'nuruodo's sketches. It was unusual to draw him without the Grand Admiral’s signature hairstyle, but I really wanted to make a strong contrast between his life “before” and “after” starting his service in the navy. Life on his home planet certainly wasn't easy.

C is a fun (if tragic) addition to the cast, and I love his use of colourful language. I may have quoted him a few times, I'm not gonna lie. Overall, I genuinely laughed out loud and smiled a bunch while reading this, which hasn't happened in quite some time.

HAPPY 3 YEAR ANNIVERSARY, MURDER DRONES!

Here's to the series that has corrupted my brain for 3 years straight and managed to inspire me to write 400K WORDS so far! I genuinely love this show to bits and I'm so lucky that I managed to find such an amazing show.

I don't know if there will be any guarantees of a season 2 or more Murder Drones in general, but in my heart of hearts I will always be waiting here and hoping to see more of the show that has - quite literally - been the brightest part of my life these past 3 years.

Murder Drones has given me a purpose and a hobby in a time where I had... basically nothing going for me, and no matter how long it takes, no matter what happens, whether we get any more Murder Drones or not, I'll stay here, working on a fanfiction of a show that I have gotten so emotionally attached to.

Here's to you, Murder Drones, and here's to the future, and here's hoping that I'll be able to see a season 2 someday.
