Random Reverse Runaways au headcanons

In no particular order! Mostly focused on the pre-runaway days, in Reverse Falls. A lot of characters aren't mentioned because this got long and I can't fit everything in. Feel free to send in an ask if you're curious about something/someone in particular.

The Gleeful twins were both homeschooled. Meanwhile, Gideon and Pacifica went to local public schools, same with Owen.

There wasn't a weirdmaggeon in the Reverse Falls timeline. Instead there was a failed attempt by Will Cipher to escape Reverend Ford. It went badly for everyone.

Gideon and Pacifica were supposed to go home after the summer ended. The Reverend made sure that didn't happen. Letting the troublemakers out of sight was not an option until he was sure they were no longer a problem. And then he forgot about them until they were one again.

Owen wasn't in town that first summer. He arrived a few years later. He could've gone back home to his father. But his father wasn't a great guy...

Dipper/Mason and Mabel were both bullies to the other kids growing up. Mabel was a mean girl and Mason just scared the shit out of everyone off stage. They had a grudge against the Pines siblings. Still do. But now it runs deeper than ever.

It goes both ways. The Pines siblings are resentful and aware of everything the Gleeful family has done and are capable of, to others and to them.

Gideon and Pacifica both have issues with food and food scarcity. Owen often had them over for dinner. His mom didn't mind. She worked so much, she barely noticed, but she seemed to like them when she was around

The Reverend is Southern Gothic as hell, a scam artist fire and brimstone preacher and miracle worker in a long dark coat. The whole of Reverse Falls is under his spell. Now that Dipper and Mabel are adults he's anxious about continuing to expand the family. Mabel hasn't found the right man (or woman, she adds sometimes). Dipper, on the other hand...

Speaking of Southern, Owen is actually from Alabama. Rough place to be an openly trans kid in 2012. He's still got a bit of an accent even now that he's an adult. Most of what he cooks is from his home region.

Nobody saw Will for a long time after the failed escape attempt. Even Dipper and Mabel never saw any sign of the guy. But sometimes, you could hear muffled screaming coming from their manor...

Yes, btw, Dipper still goes by Dipper. Only the Reverend calls him Mason.

After getting stuck in Reverse Falls, Pacifica and Gideon did seem to learn their lesson, for about a year or two. But one day, they watched the Mystery Tent from a distance

"Yeah... But what can we do?"

Cause problems on purpose, apparently.

Chelsie’s tangent with Cam is just not right at all. For a Christian preacher she really holds grudges and doesn’t forgive which goes aganist what they believe in the Bible. Now she’s paired up with Makensy talking shit about Cam and I really don’t like the narrative that’s being pushed about him using the girls and cuddling up to them cause that’s a fine line to walk on. You really could spill over to some life changing allegations about him as a black man and literally none of the other ladies talking bad about him like that except for Chelsie and Makensy. That’s not even game related. It’s just weird and she needs to stop it

Belos and Esmeralda see each other as potential threats to their plans, but also as “allies”, although they are both aware that they’re an edge away from stabbing each other in the backs. As they grow closer, the two bond over being “lost souls stuck in a place that certainly isn’t home”, and admittedly start to let their guard down. Esmeralda wants to help Emperor Belos on his mission to cleanse the word of witchcraft. As Esmeralda Celestine learns the truth about this mysterious “Emperor Belos”, and the human named “Philip Wittebane” behind the facade, she feels conflicted on whether she should befriend this stranger more, or not all all. The truth about the Day of Unity slowly unravels in Esmeralda’s mind, as she learns about the Draining Spell, Grimwalkers, the assembly of the portal door in his study, and Philip’s hatred of witches. Esmeralda assisted significantly in building the portal towards the human realm, helping to recover the damaged fragments and reassemble them. She initially thought that they would both return “home” to the human realm after the Day of Unity, part ways, and continue their own separate goals.

Her relationship with Hunter:

After her… unpleasant first encounter with the Golden Guard, she admittedly held a lot of grudges, and stayed relatively silent about them. Thank Titan, Esmeralda was glad she did. Hunter was a kind, good-natured boy, who reminded Esmeralda of herself as a child. She’s gentler to Hunter, and aware of his secret palisman. Yet, she stays quiet about it, and will never tell Belos in fear that he will hurt the poor bird. Esmeralda often finds ways to sneak Hunter a blood apple or two, when she finds the time out of duties. He isn’t exactly fond of Esmeralda’s growing alliance with Belos, and knows something is… off. He will open up to Esmeralda, but not fully trust her.

Her relationship with Lilith:

Lilith was Esmeralda’s first ally in the Coven, giving her a tour of the castle and protecting her from stepping out of line. She was also the one to comfort Esmeralda after Belos’s outburst, and visited her in the Healing Chambers, while she was getting tended to by Hettie Cutburn. Esmeralda found herself fascinated by Lilith’s Raven palisman, and admired Lilith for fighting tooth and nail so that her familiar wouldn’t be collected by the Emperor. When Lilith started “waking up” from Emperor Belos’s manipulation and finally betraying him, she left without another word to Esmeralda, which caused her to feel abandoned again. She resented Lilith after that, and brushed her away. (At one point, Esmeralda had a temporary, one-sided crush on Lilith.)

Her relationship with the Collector:

The Collector keeps calling her “Auntie Esme”, and it’s starting to stick… She finds herself intimidated by the little starchild, but often hears echoes and cries for freedom, coming out of the little mirror he’s trapped in. She’s glad Belos is keeping them in there… for now.

Her relationship with Kikimora:

Often jealous of Esmeralda’s high-ranked position, and power, the tiny red demon often stalks her, makes an extra mile to ruin the witch’s day. She has tried 892 different times to kill her. Nonetheless, she’s intimidated by Esmeralda’s power, and will refrain from attacking her in plain sight. She takes a more passive-aggressive approach.

Her relationship with Eda:

Eda had taken care of Esmeralda for a short period of time, when she was younger and attacked by witch hunters. She rescued the dying young witch, and took her into the Demon Realm. When she heard of Esmeralda’s new occupation among the ranks of the EC, she almost choked on her apple blood and burst out laughing. The Owl Lady wasn’t expecting such a shy, skittish girl to become a well-feared and manipulative figure of authority in less than two decades. relationship with Eda:

Recruitment into the Coven System:

When Emperor Belos was informed that there were multiple opening factors into the Human Realm, the first action he took was to send Construction covenants to completely ravage every part of the Boiling Isles. No elaborations were needed, it was merely part of the “Titan’s Will”, the Lord had insisted. His nephew, Hunter Wittebane, was already preparing for his coronation as the youngest Golden Guard, and his only task was accomplishing a deed that would deem him worthy of the Title, and respect from his Uncle, which he had still had to thank for taking him in.

There had been tales of an “angel” in Bonesborough circling around the Emperor’s Coven, supposedly a religious and mythical creature from the human realm which was harder to encounter than a possum. Hunter could practically see the spark in Emperor Belos’s eyes when the information had entered his ears, and automatically knew what needed to be done. This “angel”… knew something about a certain place; where the rain doesn’t boil.

After endless nights of research, spying, and prodding at other members of the Emperor’s Coven, he had found where this mysterious “Esmeralda” had resided, and arrived with a cage, chains, and an army of scouts. Unfortunately for him, Hunter wasn’t the only one who was looking to please the Emperor… Lilith and Kikimora were also desperate for a form of praise from the cruel tyrant, and weren’t willing to back down without a fight. After hearing the commotion outside and losing patience, Esmeralda almost effortlessly outpowered and tricked the scouts, and left Hunter, Kikimora, and Lilith to take her down themselves. After begrudgingly teaming up, they clipped her wings, and dragged her into the gilded cage, a gift and an offering to be displayed before Emperor Belos.

While waiting in the throne room for the Emperor’s arrival, the three fruitlessly attempted to put a sigil on the struggling Esmeralda, until abruptly stopped by Emperor Belos’s refusal to give her a sigil, a simple and authoritative “no.”. Although Kikimora tried to protest, the Emperor explained that he couldn’t give sigils to those he didn’t deem worthy; and further dismissed the members. The true reason that Philip didn’t want to give Esmeralda a sigil, is because she could be useful, and it would be a waste if the Draining Spell killed her off. Plus, he didn’t even know if she was truly a witch. Despite his aloof and cold demeanor, he almost seemed morbidly fascinated in the so-called “Angel”, which he had restrained from moving with magic.

Emperor Belos primarily keeps Esmeralda in close proximity, and his grip on her does not slacken an ounce. If anything, he grows more wary of the witch in what could be mistaken as an overprotective manner. It was already a risk to try to pry information from her on how to get back to the human realm, and the last thing he needs is Esmeralda getting too curious. She already knows too much…

At first, she was kept in her gilded cage as a precaution, often interrogated by Emperor Belos, or another higher-ranking member of the Coven. Emperor Belos found himself enthralled and somewhat amused by her occasional stories, and her connections to other witch hunters. Esmeralda had seemed more… dignified than other witches. Yet, she was rather stingy with the information told, either not trusting him enough to reveal anything to him, or simply not remembering at all. The cage would not do at all, if Belos were to gain her trust. He had to be patient and gentle, as Esmeralda could escape, along with the chance of accomplishing his goals. Esmeralda was unique and strong with magic (She had already taken down a troop of scouts, and had almost defeated Hunter, Lilith, and Kikimora together) had a deceptive, siren-like quality to her voice, and seemed to be pious.. that could be useful, especially for converting Wild Witches into covens, in a more efficient manner. More importantly, she would be easy to break, and fit the broken pieces into his little “game”.

And thus, “The Silver Priestess” was crowned, not long after the Golden Guard. Esmeralda was granted the elaborate title as Head Preacher of the Emperor’s Coven. To both Belos and inhabitants of the Boiling Isles, Esmeralda certainly has the mannerisms of a prestigious soul who is devout in the eyes of the Titan, despite being a witch. She knows that the Titan is dead as a result of spying on Belos.. But that’s okay, she finds it humorous. She will play up to it…

She became cunning and deceptive, often using her clandestine and occult methods of converting wild witches into Covens. In the grand scheme of things, it’s a facade.. A vow of death, behind chants of holy light, feathers, and empty promises of ascension into the In-Between realm. Silent threats are muttered telepathically through the victims’ heads… “Make the heretics suffer.. Play the music of the light until their ears shatter. Make their heads writhe in pain, until they finally repent for what they took away. Break every. Single. One. Of. Their. Souls.”

Esmeralda often holds her ceremonies in the Conformatorium, as a punishment towards wild witches who step out of line. She is occasionally asked to take “safety measures” so the Basilisks stay in line as well. Emperor Belos has taken great care to build The Silver Priestess her own cathedral, aware of her devout beliefs similar to his own. The room is dark and ornate, covered in elaborate stained-glass windows that sport eyes all over them, and many candles. Her ceremonies are often depicted on portraits as “blessings” and “heroic deeds”, when they are truly torture in order to get the “evil” to conform.

Ikemen Villain OC: Nessie

So Nessie is my first OC. She's got the hots for Harrison Gray.

Here is her first encounter with Harry and here's a thing in the future where they're together-together. They aren't posted in order cause I didn't plan the sequence of this soooo... ¯⁠\⁠_⁠(⁠ツ⁠)⁠_⁠/⁠¯

Also backstory that isn't really happy. I don't necessarily think it needs a trigger warning but please do tread carefully.

Here are some facts about Nessie:

🍄 Nessie is not her real name. It's a nickname that was given to her by their church's choir conductor. Eventually, everyone else called her that.

🍄 Her father was a miner and that led to a lot of health complications and injuries. He always attributed his survival to his faith and because of him, their entire family were devout in their faith. He eventually passed at fifty when Nessie was just shy of her twenty-first birthday.

🍄 Her mother was also sickly, likely from their poor living conditions and complications from several miscarriages. Nessie was her fourth child and the only surviving one. She and her unborn child would have survived if she had been able to afford medicine and visits to the doctor. This was two months after her father's death.

🍄 Though not rich, Nessie was learned. The nuns and choir conductor at their church helped her along with other children to learn how to read and write.

🍄 Nessie is a mezzo-soprano.

🍄 Once there was a preaching at their church that denounced the use of vigilante justice, though that preaching veered towards discouraging women to retaliate and hold grudges against their husbands. The preacher cited the aqua tofana incident in Italy. Nessie did not take the warning to heart and found herself fascinated with the women involved in it and the power they must have felt. Later on it became a fascination with poison. She kept this fascination to herself: reading about it discreetly at the church library.

🍄 Following her parents' deaths, Nessie tried to make a living out of singing. She loved singing in pubs and parks and occasionally the church. She gained a number of suitors because of this, but she often found herself disappointed when they expressed that they liked her singing and nothing else.

🍄 Eventually, her paternal aunt introduced her to a young man looking for a wife. The preparation for the wedding took little to no time at all. But then Nessie found out about the crimes her husband-to-be committed with a number of other people: human trafficking and levying exorbitant prices of medicine and doctors.

Definitely a song for Bal's entire journey. Because truly, he had come out of nowhere for them. Like they knew of this guy that was doing stuff here and there. But when they had heard of him declaring war on the Unseelie. And SAW him when he was swooping in to take over settlements, people were shook.

Because until that moment, they didn't think about this nameless brat that they had beaten, used, a few brought to the brink. And now he's this menace, this tyrant that was about to bring fire to their lives. And the thing is? Balmoral never forgot. He never does. A grudge is a grudge and even if he's ruling for the best interest of the Unseelie...he's never gonna forget the unsightliness that he was dragged through to get there.

Missing my grandma probably the most today than I have since she died. At the end of the month it’s gonna be the first full year she’s been gone and I’m not ready for that. Which is stupid because it doesn’t even really make a difference. I just miss her. And haven’t really felt like me since she left. Everything about it was traumatic for me honestly. And my sister made sure to make it that much worse for me. I’d been going up every week to help look after her, stay with her at her house when she asked me to because she hated staying with my sister. I wish she could’ve lived with me. I wish she would’ve lived with me. I would’ve made sure she was so much more comfortable and had anything she wanted. But she was stubborn. And I’d been going for so long that I needed a rest. She told me it was okay. So I did. And she died. And my sister didn’t even tell me she went to the hospital when I called to check on her 2 days before she passed. It was just supposed to be a week and then I’d be back. But she died I didn’t get to say goodbye. I didn’t get to see her. Because I was resting and I didn’t know. I knew something was off from how my sister was talking but she just kept being evasive when I’d press harder and I was so tired that I just dropped it because everything is always a fight with her and I never expected she’d do something like that. And I shouldn’t have. She died alone. Without me. In the hospital because I needed to rest. She didn’t tell anyone where grandma was until after she died. She didn’t let grandma have people around who loved and cared for her. And I can’t forgive her for that. Ever. She made her funeral hell. Told the preacher how I didn’t go to my moms funeral and so when he was preaching he made sure to make some pointed remarks about grudges mean you’re going to hell. He talked more about people who weren’t my grandma than he did her and she didn’t deserve that. She deserved better from everyone. Getting her ashes was fucking hell. I had to fight like crazy with my sister to get them since she’s the oldest. Had to some shit that I know ain’t true but that still messes with me to this day because she knew it would. And when I finally did get my grandmas ashes she did that in the most disrespectful way she could have because she’s awful. After all the shit was said I’d finally gotten her to agree to a day I could come up and get her because she was “busy” all day every day until that one. Yet 2 hours after all of that she texts me saying she left my fucking grandmas ashes in my mailbox. I don’t understand her and how she can care so little. I don’t think I ever will and I know our relationship is never gonna be the same. And I don’t think I even want it to. I just wish I could be in my nieces lives without having to be subjected to her so much. Because I haven’t talked to her much at all since all of this and she blames me for that instead of what she did. Says I don’t care about her kids or any of the family which isn’t true and just hurts.

main comics continuity: taking pre-crisis/post-crisis/new-52/rebirth/whatever as one canon, because it... technically is? although it makes zero sense lmao.

honestly... the more I think of it, the more I'd say I don't have an OTP for it. I can love a relationship in a run, and I certainly have soft spots for a few chosen ones. generally speaking, the legacy romances in DC have Good Shit TM to offer. but the very nature of comics -the inconsistencies, the retcons, the rotating writers with wildly different agendas (not to mention grudges against specific characters), make it so I can't really point at one (1) relationship and embrace it wholeheartedly LOL.

if I have an OTP it's Jason Todd/Good+Interesting Writing, and although I've definitely seen it around, it eludes me just as often xD

Batman - Wayne Family Adventures: lowkey Barbara/Jason which is. LOL. but. see #53, #95, #96, and #104. The plot in 95-96 in particular made me want to write a more grounded+complex version of it.

Dark Knights of Steel: an elseworld run I finished recently. not heavy on romance but Clark/Lois was cute in it (with bonus bondage xD).

DC Bombshells: it's been a really long time and I was up for anything that run threw at me, but I particularly liked Kate/Renee, from what I remember. Tragedy + exes... lovely.

Red Hood - Outlaws: (I know technically there's some overlap in the webtoons but considering them the same canon, especially this one, just... nope. impossible xD). Artemis/Jason FTW.

Zatanna & the Ripper: Constantine/Zatanna is quite good.

ANIMATED WORKS

Batman - The Brave and The Bold: what little I remember of this involves Bruce/Selina being delightfully flirty lol.

DCAU/Timmverse: Clark/Lois. I liked what I saw of others (with caveats regarding certain... choices lol), but STAS is the only one I watched in its entirety and they were delightful.

Harley Quinn: Harley/Ivy. that show has made some shitty choices but they are good lol.

My Adventures with Superman: Clark/Lois, although I wish they were given more room to develop with depth.

Young Justice: DICK/ZATANNA. ngl, I think Chalant is one of the best ships DC has put out which, taking into account how little time and room to breath it had? Remarkable.

LIVE-ACTION WORKS

Arrowverse: kind of a hard pick given the givens but I have the biggest soft spot for Angelique/Ryan from Batwoman.

Batman Returns: Bruce/Selina obviously. I haven't watched any of the other films in the series, but I know they wouldn't change my mind LOL.

Gotham: BEST BATCAT EVER.

Lois & Clark, The New Adventures of Superman: Clark/Lois, obviously.

Nolanverse: I got a lot of misgivings on this one, sure, but I do enjoy some self-indulgent Bruce/Selina here as well.

Hello there! My name is Hells I’m 23 and currently I’m looking for some kind of self indulgent plots, these will feature smut but trust me I want there to be a story 60/40 plot to smut probably. FALLOUT (features lore from the TV show and New Vegas)

The Ghoul (Cooper Howard) x OC

The idea for this is that my O.C works on the New Vegas strip as a show girl and head of security, she’s effectively House’s dog, whenever someone seems a risk to the Strip she’s asked to play fetch. Due to this she often crosses paths with The Ghoul bounty hunter, the two of them also often scuffle over targets and due to how often they steal targets from eachother they hold personal grudges. My character is fiery, she’s small and chubby, surprisingly strong for her height, and has a hell of a southern temper. She is also a huge flirt and likes to get under The Ghoul’s skin. If you haven’t guessed it yet I want this to be an enemies/rivals to lovers plot. I like the idea of them having a dynamic similar to Batman and Catwoman or Kitty Softpaws and Puss n Boots. They tease and insult eachother, fight often, but there’s way to much sexual tension between them. Might even culminate into a hate fuck. How the two meet will be up to us, we can start with their first meeting or have them know eachother and their rivalry be going on for a while, maybe something happens and my character ends up traveling with The Ghoul. All kinds of potential here. I really want to explore this dynamic so I’m begging here. This plot may have dark themes like murder and drug/alcohol use just due to the subject matter of the fandom so keep that in mind.

Kinks that may be featured: Hate Fuck, Jealous Fuck, Biting, Choking, Degredation, Tying up, Drug and alcohol use (mutual and consensual), some dubcon due to the hate fucks, sadomasochism, some knife/gun play and blood play/drinking, WAY TO MANY PET NAMES because it’s Cooper.

I’ve been searching for this one for a while, not sure if I’ll ever get any takers for it but here it is.

Eddie Munson x O.C (Phoebe Carver)

So this plot is essentially Eddie Munson falling in love with a deeply religious, preachers daughter, good girl and helping her overcome her catholic guilt and let loose. He introduces her to drugs and alcohol, corrupts her more and more, eventually they kiss or there’s a confession or maybe even something more explicit, there are a ton of options here! The jist of my O.C besides being a preachers daughter is that she’s Jason’s cousin, this is done simply for drama and can technically be completely retconned if you aren’t into it. I also have a trans male character that can be used for this plot, his name is A.J, just in case we want it to be a little gay instead. I just feel like this plot has so much sweet and fluffy but also super spicy potential. If necessary as I said above I can double up if I have no choice.

Kinks that may be featured: Petnames, Titles: Such as daddy, sir, master, etc, choking, biting, religious corruption, sex in religious buildings, inappropriate use of rosary beads and confessionals, praying during sex, drug/alcohol use (mutually and consensually).
