In seventh grade I had a history teacher who was also a geography nerd. At the end of each quarter, sheâd hold a geography tournament where weâd be asked to identify 10 places across two different areas within a minute (weâd be given the maps to study about 2weeks in advance). Kids would be awarded extra credit points based on where their groups placed in the tournament (usually we played in pairs) and it also gave us about a 3day buffer to finish up assignments, fun for everyone
So the first time this happened, my partner was some guy who didnât manage to find a partner in time and I hadnât been paying attention so I didnât know what was happening. We didnât look at the maps until like 3 minutes before our first round, and neither of us were entirely sure what was happening. By happenstance, we got a card where we already knew 6 of the places and we guessed 2 of the remaining 4 correctly. Progressed to the next round with the faint air of Utter Bafflement, cheers at least weâd get a few extra points?
Then the next round we got the same card and places. Finished it in 15 seconds, 100%, and oooohh yeah, we were getting into it now. My partner was estatic, as he now had a chance to bump his C to a B-, and we went back to the maps with a lil more enthusiasm for cramming
Had we not gotten that lucky draw, we probably wouldâve been out the second round (arguably the first too, since we literally only knew those 6 places when we started). Even funnier, the final round had the 2 places we originally missed and Ooh yeah, we fucking nailed those
Anyways, thatâs how my partner and I bumped our first quart history grades up a whole letter thru sheer dumb luck and cramming enthusiasm
#my 5 minute memory can be a steel trap#bless#the ppl that had actually studied for that tournament Did Not Like Us#but also they can choke they just wanted their As to be A+s#q*

đâď¸Ror/ Snv characters as Studentsđâď¸
Also am I spotting a fellow Alien stage fan??? @miserable-homo-momo
Hades:
â ď¸Heâs a top student. On top of most of his classes, and heâs a senior.
â ď¸ Mostly hangs out with Qin or his brothers. He doesnât necessarily have friends but a lot of ppl want to be tho, only he focuses on being a big brother.
â ď¸ Listens to a lot of music tastes. Like his play list is full of mood swings. It contains: Classic music, Pop Music, HipHop, Heavy metal ect. It kinda depends on what he feels tbh. A few of his faves would be: Tupac, Beyonce, Megan Thee Stallion, Cardi B and Mozart.
â ď¸Drives a nice car which made him very popular. He used it to take his brothers everywhere but he ended up sharing it between his brothers and bought a motorbike of his ownđ¤
â ď¸ He had a lot of piercings: Ears, lip, EyebrowâŚnippleâŚBut he looks good and knows how to pull it off. Like just Imagine it. Gah dayum
â ď¸ He actually skipped class?? You wouldnât expect it from him but he did skip class. Itâs not often but once in a blue moon. Most of the times itâs cause he wants to hang out with his brothers.
â ď¸ goes to all the house parties. As good of a student he is, he also likes going out. So most of the time he gets invited to parties or hang outs.
â ď¸ most ppl thought he was a player but ended up being one of the ppl that married their high school sweetheart. He might have dated some ppl but they werenât flings but actually legit relationships
â ď¸ probably the one person that brings snacks or drinks for the class if they have a field trip or just a hot school day yâknow. Like just imagine it being a hot sunny day and you still have a lot of lessons to follow and boom, hades brings ice cream for the class?? Life safer frđ
â ď¸ He probably likes History, astronomy and psychology. He kind of has random subject but he just chose what he deems as interesting. He only likes the đŞâď¸đ đ and not the math in astronomy.
â ď¸ He cooks on field trips that last more days. Only if itsâs necessary tho. Mainly because heâs rich enough to afford going to restaurants or the school handles it.
â ď¸ heâs the therapist friend fr. Genuinely knows when thereâs something wrong and asks, not in public tho. He doesnât judge but actually listens to you. He also offers comfort if you need it. What a goat
â ď¸ class president. Even though he didnât want to be. Most ppl voted for him for the above stated reasons. And because heâs kind of a big brother type.
â ď¸ man could do anything and he wouldnât get into trouble. Mostly because all the teachers love him as a student so shawty has a good reputation.
â ď¸ Heâs bad at art yet has very nice cursive handwriting. Probably because he takes extra poetry lessons. Or he practiced it till he was satisfied.
â ď¸ Is in the chess club with Beelzebub and the birb. They often play and even have participate in Tournaments.
â ď¸ Heâs the type that also chose languages as subjects, so like German, French, Italian, Chinese, Latin and ofc Greek. Probably because his ass has a photographic memory
â ď¸ doesnât eat cafeteria food and actually goed off campus to buy food. If some of his lessons are canceled he just goes to restaurants or shopping streets to kill time
â ď¸ Actually doesnât rly do his homework. He only does it in classes that check homework or give bonuses for it, otherwise he usually doesnât do it. Besides he only studies like 2 weeks before the week where all the tests are. Unless he knows he needs more time for a certain subject. Then he catches up
â ď¸ Went to Spain, Germany and France because he choose those subjects and teased his younger brothers for it. He did buy them a requested item for each of em. Not Zeus cause he requested a Latina babe.
â ď¸ He has a place in school where he always sits when he aint off campus. So if ya eveer try to find him heâs probably there.
â ď¸ graduated w honors fr. Mosy of the teacher wrote nice things about them and held wonderful speeches for him since he was a good student. His quote in the year book was sum like âđâ.
â ď¸ He probably went on luxurious vacations and posted the pictures on his insta. He dont do snap or any other form of social media.
Buddha
𪡠the student that doesnât really care about grades but does get good ones.
𪡠Heâs usually eats in class. But for some reason the teachers allow it cause he ainât causing a mess. Or because heâs actually a prince and could buy the school in a second.
𪡠Definitely choose a language as a subject and geography cause man knows a lot about different cultures. My goat
𪡠Definitely a music lover. You can always catch him with one AirPod in his ear. Probably has the latest phone too cause he richy rich.
𪡠Goes to on lot of vacations. Like every break heâs somewhere. Japan, Greece, Italy, Singapore, Canada, Brazil, he goes to many places. Brodie might start doing them travel vlogs atp
𪡠He has lots of Social Mediaâs. Tiktok, Tenten, insta, snap, Discord??𤨠, Be real ect. His tiktok is just goofy ahh videos while his insta is usually pics of his vacations. Like you know them influencers who have them nice ahh pics? He has that, but he just aint a influencer
𪡠Never takes notes in class. So you might wanne share em w him if you have em. In return heâll let you munch on his snacks.
𪡠BIG supporter of Cultural day. Like he already sighed a petition and complained that every school should have one. He even offered to host them and buy stuff for it.
𪡠biggest class skipper together with Qin. Heâs either off campus buying stuff, at home cause brodie didnât wanne come or he just bailed mid way with the âcan i use the restroom?â Tactic. His ass almost got into trouble w the school cause of the many times he was absent.
𪡠If you have a presentation with him. Yall will score perfectly. Especially if itâs a subject he knows a lot about, brodie will carry you like how Eren carried that stone in Shiganshina (aot reference đ¤¨)
𪡠Deals candy in school. Like you know how some schools have the policy that their cafeteria doesnât sell unhealthy stuff? And the stuff is overpriced asf. Yeah he broke that by buying a lot of different candies and letting ppl buy em for âŹ1 no matter what the OG price was. He may or may not have gotten into trouble but man did not care
𪡠LOVESS LOVES LOVES school trips. He always buys snacks for em. He usually researches the place where yall is going so that he can divide the time and go see the whole place instead of just only doing the assignment.
𪡠He is friends w actually almost everyone. Almost. Except Loki. But itâs difficult. Loki HATES him. While Buddha is kinda like đ. It got so bad that Loki had to switch classes fr. Now one may ask why? Buddha worked together Sigyn thatâs why
𪡠house parties, pool parties, after school parties, just any party tbh. If he catches one he is going. And Believe me it makes it so much better. He has the music, the vibe, the photoâs everything. Man is so chill fr
𪡠lowkey good friends w Hades. Mainly because they both chose languages. They usually practice together if they have like a verbal test. They got each otherâs back. And yeah Buddhaâs a senior cause he skipped some grades
𪡠Ppl expected him to actually be single cause of how care free he is but they were wrong cause man was SMITTEN by YasodharÄ. They were literally THE couple.
𪡠Got into a class fight with Loki. Imma leave room for yall to think how that went. Man CLEARED him. But he didnât hit tho. He didnât square up. He just dodged and threw chips in his face.
𪡠watched anime, reads manhwa and hd merch. But he the cool ones that keep it lowkey and dont rly act upon it
𪡠Man saved the ppl who graduated w him. He arranged that the ppl in the last year could have a week long vacation to Italy. Mainly to see art or just enjoy being free from school.
𪡠As much as he hated school. Heâs the type that goes for a good time. He likes being w his friends or his glorious gf YasodharÄ.
Shiva:
𧿠Laid back student that barely passes but doesnât really mind.
𧿠member of the party club! He hosts all the dances, plays, school events, parties, galaâs. Anything to do with the sort!
𧿠Also a big fan of house parties. Good music, good vibe, lots of ppl, drinks n a good home? Heâs all in.
𧿠He 100% had music, art and religion as a subject. Dancing is included with art and he gives extra lessons to the youngsters. He might even have his own dance club on campus.
𧿠Heâs also a fan of p.e. He 100% has a one sided rivalry with Hercules and Ares. But if itâs Ares and Hercules against each other heâs on Herculesâ side.
𧿠He hosted a Gala for the seniors and it was so goated, he even had a department for ppl who didnât want to dance and put on game consoles on the big ahh boards.
𧿠He and Poseidon were playing Mario Kart and SSBU against each other. Half of the ppl there spectated on how the two were so focused and at each otherâs throat. But after that Shiva went back to dancing.
𧿠A lot of ppl think that heâs poly but heâd monogamous and has a girlfriend. Aka Parvati. Who was his partner to homecoming. Which he hosted ofcourse.
𧿠Skips school so much that he once had to have a conversation with the school therapist to make sure there was nothing going on at home. (There isnât) but he played it off cause he a smooth talker and got away with it.
𧿠Heâs besties w Rudra. Theyâre the duo that everyone knows cause theyâve been going to the same school and usually have most classes together. Even if they donât like the subject. Like you can see Shiva in some classes they donât have together cause he just asks the teacher it its cool and most of the time itâs cool. Most.
𧿠They the duo that they meet each other in the halls cause they both got sent out of the classroom. Or they both have detention and never do any work in it there.
𧿠you can usually spot them outside going for a run or at the gym. They also share a playlist for of they go to the gym and its very intense. Or theyâre goofing around and end up doing something else.
𧿠Heâs also in Hades class as a senior but they aint rly close, no bad blood but they just have their own friends. Though If they were to be paired up theyâd make a very good duo.
𧿠Also a big fan of Culture day. But the best part is that Parvati is in a beautiful sari, her make up done, mehendi on her hands and feet, churias on her arms, a veil on her head. Hmm perfect.
𧿠He lowkey beefs with Loki but does it in a goofy way yâknow. Like he seems very intimidating cause of his physique and height but heâs lowkey chill and doesnât bother ppl.
𧿠is lowkey a model together with Poseidon. He posts a lot of pictures on his insta, Indian weddings (theyâre the best) pics of himself or if he went somewhere. Some of them are lowkey so aestheticly pleasing.
Yuh thatâs it. Might make a part 3 tho

Yule Ball: Part III - Professor Snape x Reader [Smut]
Synopsis: You and Professor Snape sort out a poorly written examination in his classroom, but somebody sees. With your reputations at stake, only magic can save you now... and a little of something else too, at a time most inopportune.Â
Notes: Sorry this is three days late, but I wanted to edit it to perfection, since itâs been a year since the last part! Enjoy, I love all of you so much. Happy holidays x
@fandom-puffâ (sorry I know there are so many more ppl who asked to be tagged but I lost track!)Â
Part One
Part TwoÂ
Part Four
The soft bubbling in his classroom late at night was comforting to Severus. He found it helped him think... and grade test scores, as per what he was currently preoccupied with. The moon is full outside, shining through what little window Snape had left uncovered. He ignores the squawk of Hagrid's distant Hippogriff (that thing takes pleasure in ensuring he never got any peace and quiet as of ten o clock at night) and gets back to the paper. He scowls. Â
"What is it with these twits?" he murmurs to himself, using his wand to mark a large "fail" on Ron Weasley's test, flopping it onto the pile of Fred and George's equally dismal efforts. Just then, he flips to one with your neat, flowery handwriting on it, and stops.
Well, what's the problem? Just mark it as you would any other student. Besides, this will be nice and quick. (y/n) always gets a perfect score on my examinations.
Beginning to read though, he finds himself beginning to frown. Wrong... another one wrong... He looks up at the ceiling, and clenches his jaw. Of course. Why should he expect any less, when you'd been all over him for the past month?
----
The next afternoon, youâre wiling away potions by watching your quill spin in its inkwell. Wandless magic, along with perfecting the art of apparition, is something youâd been trying your hand at for years, and the fruits of your labor are just starting to manifest now.
âMiss (y/l/n).â
Your attention moves up to Professor Snape, at the head of the potions room.
This your last class of the day, before a much needed weekend rest. You're supposed to get the test grades back this afternoon, and you have to say you're excited-- you studied long and hard for it, attempting to make Snape proud of a little more than your talents of bewitchment.
"Miss (y/l/n). May I see you after class?"
You smile to yourself. "Of course, sir." You expect he'll reward you, calling you his good girl, telling you all about how much you deserve him tonight. Snape was rarely pleased with anything, but you're sure he'd find exception in your astounding work.
After class had finished on the note of homework and groaning, you stay in your seat, assuring your friends youâd catch up later. Once the rest of the unassuming students had filed out, you move to get up and join him by his desk, but he strides over before you can, thwacking the test down in front of you.
"What⌠is this?"
You look down at it, and give him a charming smile. "The best damn exam you'll ever grade."
Snape makes a noise halfway between a laugh and a groan, sarcasm dripping as he says, "I insist you take a second look."
You frown, and look down at your work, flipping through. As you do, you become more and more frustrated. "But-- but I knew this one! This is... this was clearly draught of the living death..."
"Was it?" Snape asks patiently, staring at you with his arms folded, "I pray you never need to brew it, then."
You huff, glaring up at him. "Do you know, I studied for hours for this--"
"Don't lie to me," he hisses, "I know what you're doing. Fail the exam, get called up to see me when everyone else is safely in their dormitories and get the punishment of a lifetime.â He leans in, glowering. âI know how your mind works."
You balk. "You actually think I'd sacrifice my grades in potions to have sex with you?! You have more of an ego than I thought, professor!"
Snape sputters. It does sound quite far fetched the way you put it, but...
"Perhaps your exams are a little too hard," you raise your eyebrows, and push the test away from you.
"Perhaps. Perhaps I was mistaken as well..." He holds his frown. "I want a perfect grade next time, do you understand me?"
"Oh, perfectly. It's just I've been so preoccupied with extra activities, like the frog choir, that whole tri-wizard competition-- I mean the tournaments are bloody thrilling! They'll be leaving soon, anyway, with all the visitors. Also McGonagall's lessons..."
"There's nothing Professor McGonagall can do that I can't do twice as ruthlessly."
"Yes. I know," you smirk.
âDo not let it happen again. My class takes precedence⌠you should know that by now.â Snape waits, and when you don't get up to leave, sighs. "That will be all, Miss (y/l/n)."
âWill it?â
He turns back at your teasing tone, and already feels a headache coming on. He fell right into your trap⌠which wasnât even a trap in the first place. He brought this on himself, truly. Perhaps he should just forget how to feel guilty. After all, how many times had this happened?
"I'm not wearing anything beneath my robes."
Snape gives a tight lipped smile. "I was never foolish enough to believe you were."
"Proved it a bit difficult in class..." you begin to shrug the robes off, "Malfoy was hanging over my shoulder the whole time, it's a bloody miracle he didn't get an eyeful.â
"Perhaps he did," Snape muses, "We'll never know." You watch him closely, parting your legs. He still looks hesitant, even after all these times.
"We don't have to if you don't want to," you bite your lip, starting to undo the robe, "But Professor⌠I want to."
He puts a hand on yours to stop you, and you look up in surprise. Maybe this is really where he would take a stand... you were wondering when he would.
But he smacks your hand away, giving you that look. "Don't touch." He turns you around, and slots himself behind you, dark hair falling against your cheek. "That's. My. Job."
You grin, and he slowly opens your robes, admiring how your tie falls between your breasts, perfectly centered.
"This will have to come off," he murmurs, taking the tie with the tip of his fingers, then stops. "Unless..."
"What?" you breathe.
He hums thoughtfully, eyes narrowing. "Perhaps I ought to make sure you receive what you deserve. It was an abysmal examination score, after all..."
A thrill runs through you. "What do you mean?"
"This is the third time we've done this, and somehow I doubt it will be the last. You believe I'd let you get off without a punishment for your dangerous behavior?"
"I believe you'd let me get off.â
"Silence." Though he maintains most of his stern expression, you can sense his impulse to smirk. He takes the tie off, and ties it around your wrists behind your back, laying your back on his desk. He then begins to slowly tug the robes off, and groans when he sees your breasts bare to him in full. You moan, stretching your arms, and bite your lip, blinking up at him.
"You don't deserve what you have in mind," he whispers, "You deserve my lips on you, teasing you, bringing you close until I deny you what you need. That is what you get when you don't take my class seriously."
You whimper, rubbing your thighs together. "But Professor... please, I haven't touched myself all week."
He narrows his eyes. "Why? Preparing for something, were we?"
You avert eye contact, blushing. "I..."
"Go on."
"I expected a good grade. I thought you would reward me, daddy."
Snape inhales sharply at the name, and you see his hips start to slightly shift to rub against the desk. "Well, we both saw how that turned out. Knickers, off."
Just as you're reaching down, you both hear someone mutter an 'alohamora.' The door swings open on you and Snape. There, a boy your age stands, eyes a fraction wider.
"Krum," you breathe. He seems caught, and slowly backs away. Snape's eyes widen slightly, and you pull your robes back on. Before you can run after the visiting student though, your professor grabs your arm, tugging you back.
"He'll tell Karkarov," you protest desperately.
"He will," Snape nods, "Let him. There is little he can prove. It will just seem like dirty sportsmanship for the Durmstrang visitors to try and smear the reputation of one of Hogwarts' best teachers.â
Still... it was unnerving.
---
The next day, you're far more on edge than usual. A meeting had been called, as Snape had relayed to you, and youâre both so sure itâs about⌠that.
You lay on your bed, flicking your wand about as a feather dances atop you. It floats up, down, with each unspoken leviosa of your wand, and finally, you let it fall against your chest. You would much rather be practicing your apparatingâit was a little harder, and would take your mind off the possibility of your getting expelled.
You try and push the thoughts of Snape out of your head, and replace them with where you want to apparate. Focus⌠focusâŚ
In Dumbledoreâs office, Snape takes his seat alongside McGonagall, Dumbledore, Sprout, Flitwick, Karkaroff, and Maxime. Pursing his lips and narrowing his eyes, he doesnât say a word.
âWell. Let us bring to attention why this meeting has been called,â McGonagall begins, and Dumbledore nods.
âQuite right, Minerva. There has been an incident.â
In your dorm, you concentrate hard on apparating to the library. If you could only⌠focusâŚ
âA special thank you to Karkaroff, for one his boys, Victor Krum, bringing this situation to our attention,â Dumbledore goes on. âIt is a matter we here at Hogwarts, take very seriously.â
Snape is about to open his mouth, when he feels something under the table, directly in front of his legs.
You glance around, confused. Where had you ended up?
âA matter, I might say, that could even have serious repercussions if not looked into further.â
âMon Dieu,â Maxime tuts, âWhat has happened, Albus?â
Oh, shit. Oh, shit! Your subconscious had won out. You had been thinking of Severus too much when trying to apparate, and had apparated to the meeting.
Snape could not, for the life of him, figure out what had just materialized between his legs. Pretending to drop a vial from his sleeve, he reached down to check⌠and the two of you came face to face.
Snapeâs eyes widen, then he narrows them into slits. The glare is threatening in every way it could be, and you cower back a little.
I didnât mean to, you try to mouth, but heâs already sat up again. His boot comes up, and lays to rest on your stomach, keeping you far away from him, yet close enough so the others canât feel you. If anyone else was to check under the table, itâs not like you have an invisibility cloakâyouâd both be dead meat.
âWhat, might I inquire, would this matter be?â Severus asks, in the most level voice he can manage. He was absolutely furious that you were where you were. Had you no shame? He was about to lose his job over this! You were simply taunting fate, at this point.
âIâm very glad you asked, Severus,â Karkaroff interjected with sinister glint in his eyes, âFor this matter concerns you.â
Between his legs under the table, you try to apparate back. Only⌠you didnât apparate with your wand on you. Damn wandless magic! Now you couldnât get back.
âWhat have I got to do with anything, pray tell, Igor?â Snape is doing a rather good job of sounding unimpressed, bored even. You start to squirm, listening to his deep voice. It still does things to you, even in a situation like this. Especially in a situation like this.
âIt is a matter of something Krum saw, Severus,â Dumbledore says slowly, âSomething troubling indeed.â
Under the table, desire starts to creep up on you. You had been given a very rare, very exciting opportunity here. You could get back at Snape for grading your test badly, and have a little fun along the way⌠two can play at that game.
âYou see, we have learned that it involves one of our students here at Hogwarts,â Minerva says sternly, âNamely, Miss (y/l/n) of (y/house) house.â You hesitate, then take the chance to unlatch him.
âMiss (y/l/n)?â Snape quirks a brow, âA model student.â
âSeems like such a lovely girl. Tres jolie,â Maxime comments.
Snape begins to frown, feeling your hands on his breeches. You werenât. You wouldnâtâŚ
âYes, well thereâs no doubt about that,â Flitwick says, âBut the news we have heard of her is nothing short of shocking! Nothing we would expect from a young lady of her stature.â You take Snape out of his pants, half hard, and close your mouth softly around his tip. He tries to swat you off, but you dodge him.
âNo doubt,â Minerva agrees.
âSurelyâŚâ Snape swallows, shifting his hips, âWhatever she has done⌠can be forgiven?â OhâŚ.
âWhy would you be so quick to forgive her, Severus?â Minerva asks, âWe havenât even learned of the situation.â
âI only wish to reprimand students when reprimandation is wholeheartedly deserved,â Snape clenches his jaw, giving you a good whack with his knee, âOtherwise, such punishment would subsequently lose its value.â
âWell. With that I agree,â Sprout speaks up, âBut this, from what weâve been led to believe, is a very serious issue!â
âOut with it, then,â Snape annunciates in that menacing tone, âWhat exactly has she done, and how exactly⌠does it involve me?â His hand grabs you by the hair under the table, and tightens. If youâre going to play with him like this, then he will remain in control.
âWhy donât we simply ask the boy himself?â Karkaroff smirks, and with a whisk of his wand and the utterance of Dumbledoreâs secret password, the doors open. Victor Krum comes in, rigid as if he had been trained for battle. He gives a swift bow, and stands before them.
âTell us what you saw, Victor,â Minerva encourages. Krum looks to everyone, brow furrowed. Snape guides your head, gritting his teeth. Heâs already close, and he can faintly hear you moaning like a whore.
âWait for a moment,â Filius says, holding up a finger, âI hear something strange.â
Snape coughs, trying to overpower the sounds of him getting his dick sucked by a slutty little student. âMust be Hagridâs Hippogrif,â he grumbles, âThe infernal thing does not know how to quiet down.â
âBuckbeak only caws at night,â Filius frowns, âThis sounds much closer.â
Snape begins to sweat. This was it. If you didnât quiet down your sounds of pleasure from under the table, you would both be found out, and that would be that. Disgraced, humiliated, cast out--
Igor clears his throat in irritation, and attention is once again collectively returned to Krum. Snape relaxes a little bit, this being the only time heâs ever praised his old death eater friend for interrupting something.
You smirk under the table, quieting your moaning down a little as Snape slams you back into him, your lips sliding down even further over his cock with each thrust into your mouth. It feels so good to be used, especially in such a dangerous situationâyouâd never been so wet in your life, and you start to rub yourself, gasping softly and gagging on his large cock.
Snape curses you out in his mind. Youâre a troublemaker, more than a troublemaker, and absolutely disobedient little girl. What he wouldnât do to slam you down over a desk right at this very moment and teach you a real lesson.
âGo on,â Minerva encourages Krum gently, âWhat you say will never leave this room.â
âUnless required,â Flitwick sniffs, straightening his tie.
âOh, Merlin,â Snape grunts, crumpling forward a little. Heâs on the edge, heâs about to come⌠Everyone turns to him, their stares burning.
âSomething to say, Severus?â Karkaroff jabs, sneering.
Snapeâs eyelids flutter, and he white knuckles the table as his orgasm hits him. You moan under the table, feeling it on your tongue, and you come as well, biting back a whine. Fuck, youâre hit little whore⌠oh, yeahâŚ
âSeverus?â Minerva prods, frowning. Snape clenches his jaw, regaining his foothold on the conversation.
âOnly a reminder that I am very busy and do not have all day. Consider this an encouragement, Mr. Krum, to spit it out,â he growls, then his lips tug up ever so slightly. âThough not everyone present in this room must take that advice.â
You hold back a giggle, and swallow dutifully.
Through the confused stares of the heads of houses, Krum finally speaks. Snape holds his breath, and you listen carefully, nerves buzzing. At least you went out with a bang.
âI was walking past Professor Snapeâs classroom,â Krum begins, staring at the dark Slytherin head of house, âAndâŚâ Everyone seems to lean forward. âAnd spotted (y/n)âŚâ
âYes?â Sprout murmurs. Snape worries the inside of his lip. This was it. Perhaps he could apparate as smoothly as you had, out of this room. Though he could never match your impeccable timing, surely.
ââI spotted (y/n) stealing lacewing flies from Professor Snapeâs personal storage.â
Snape nearly drops his jaw. Everyone at the table looks terribly scandalized, and he counts his blessings that it is not for the reason they should.
âAllow me⌠to explain,â he says, fixing himself discreetly under the table. âI had given (y/n) an assignment outside of class protocol, brewing a specially modified batch of polyjuice potion for extra credit. I have been tutoring her as somewhat of an apprentice.â He looks up at Krum with a curious sort of respect. âI⌠appreciate your diligence in reporting what would typically be an unforgivable offense against my private collection of ingredients, Mr. Krum. However, in this particular case⌠no further action is required, at the bidding, of course, of Headmaster Dumbledore.â
Dumbledore opens his hands. âYour explanation is quite sufficient, Severus. I see no further need to pursue any consequence toward Miss (y/l/n), if her intentions were warranted and academic.â
You sigh in relief under the table, and Snape smirks. Karkaroff is fuming, thinking the matter would absolutely ruin him. The potions master lifts his chin.
âWill that be all, then?â
âYes.â
âGood,â he growls, and rises. He gets out a small vial, and hands it to you under the table, as the others talk amongst themselves.
âDrink,â he mutters, and you do. Before your eyes, you begin to turn invisible. His potion-brewing abilities never fail to astound you. Flitwick and Sprout spot the slight elevation in the tablecloth as you get out and follow Snape. They frown at one another, and check for an open window anywhere in the office.
You follow Snape to his classroom, and this time, he locks the door.
âYou are lucky he said what he did, you little harlot.â
You smirk, the small vial already wearing off. âHe knows Hermione. Hermione knows me. Itâs only natural heâd cover for me.â
âAnd what you did back under the table?!â he continues, cape billowing as he paces. You grimace a little, waiting for that. He just sighs, glancing at you. âWill be the reason for my nightly shut-ins.â
You saunter over, kissing his cheek. âI knew youâd thank me.â He doesnât look up.
âHardly. Detention for the remainder of the school year.â
âBut sir!â You slowly start to realize what that means. âAh. Yes, sir.â
He canât help but smile to himself as you leave for your dormitory, admiring your uniform on the way out. Perhaps he hadnât taken such leave of his senses when he had found you that night at the Yule Ball, as he had so forced himself to believe. Perhaps, instead, he had come to them.

Sir Reynard and the Red Knight
(aka 'The Tournament')
special notes:
the vibe i chose for this imaginary fair/holiday is a mashup of pieces from medieval christmas and new year's eve celebrations. ofc as I mentioned before most of those were Christianity-based, but some of them had a distintly pre-Christian Anglo-Saxon pagan flavor. now my source material here is from 1827, but the author makes sure to let us know which traditions (he thinks) are older than Christianity. the book (books actually, there's 3 of them total) itself is also kind of a fun read, it's sort of a combo of an almanac/calendar/reference guide/gossip column.
a n y w a y, so, specifically i want to mention (b/c i stole them for this story and i don't want to do that without letting ppl know these are or were real traditions that real people observed) serving a boars' head on christmas day (Essex, England, observed "from time immemorial"), the wassail bowl/toast (a new year custom very definitely from before Christianity and apparently present in various parts of Europe altho I don't have the specific expertise to explain why), and an interesting/weird/gruesome Christmas parade (Kent) which the book describes: "A party of young people procure the head of a dead horse, which is affixed to a pole about four feet in length, a string is tied to the lower jaw, a horse cloth is then attached to the whole, under which one of the party gets, and by frequently pulling the string keeps up a loud snapping noise." This is called a Hodening and whether or not ppl still do it I don't know but, uh, i hope so b/c awesome.
also theres only 1 chapter left if u stuck with it this whole time or, idk, it's 2024 and u read the whole thing at once thanks for bothering love u

9.
âYes, hello,â Gascon said, pretending not to notice Meveâs displeasure. âGood afternoon, ladies,â he added, as the Baroness and Giselle turned to look curiously down at where he stood in the shadows. The Baroness frowned and pursed her lips judiciously; Giselle considered him and glanced uncertainly at the older women.
âAnyway,â he continued, an edge of urgency buried in his easy tone, âDo you have a minute to spare?â
âNo,â the Queen said stiffly, turning back toward the empty lists. âIâm busy; whatever it is will have to wait until later.â
âOh,â he replied, growing very faintly annoyed, âBecause itâs about that thing you wanted last night; just thought youâd be interested tâ know Iâve done it.â
She hesitated, ignoring the Baronessâs raised eyebrow and Giselleâs uncomfortable confusion, struggled momentarily between curiosity and base pettiness, and finally said, âYes, fine; I have a few minutes, I suppose.â
âFifteen minutes,â the Baroness said, pointedly.
âNo time to waste, then,â said Gascon; he winked at Giselle, who took her cue from the Baroness and frowned disapprovingly back at him, and they hurried off.
âSo, what is it, then?â Meve asked bluntly, as they turned into the townâs streets at a rapid stroll. âI assume youâve caught the saboteur, else you wouldnât have bothered me.â
âWell, I caught Gaheris; he may be the saboteur, or may not,â Gascon said, disregarding her tone. âGaspar thinks he is, though, and heâs thâ only one who saw thâ intruder close up last night, so odds are good heâs your man.â
âReally?â She abandoned her moodiness in favor of mild surprise, and then asked, âWhen did this happen?â
âOh, only about an hour ago. Less, even. Seemed like there was no real need for a public scene, so I just had him snatched off the street and, you know - stashed somewhere convenient,â Gascon explained, leading the way down an alley and into a butcher. The owner nodded and smiled to him as he passed through the door and headed toward the back, spotted the Queen, and instantly looked away at nothing in particular. Pug and Gaspar waited in the yard behind the shop, standing guard over a man with a bag on his head and a bandage around his left ankle. Gascon nodded at Pug and she yanked the bag away; Gaheris squinted in the light and surveyed his surroundings - two large, brightly interested pigs in a pen, his sinister pair of captors, and, finally, Meve and Gascon. He sighed.
âGot âim in one piece, as you wanted,â Pug announced in her gruff voice; a dubious claim, as Gaheris had a black eye and a split lip, but Gascon nodded approvingly and jerked his thumb over his shoulder, toward the shop.
âWait inside for a bit,â he said; Pug and Gaspar departed, leaving their captive to his deserved fate.
âNow, sir,â Meve said briskly to Gaheris; if she had any doubts about his culpability, she kept them firmly to herself. âLetâs not waste time with falsehoods or denials.â    Â
âNo,â he said, resignedly, âDoesnât seem to be much point in trying.â
âQuite. So, explain what it is youâve been up to, then.â
âStart with last night,â Gascon added, as the squire took a few too many seconds to think it over. âHurry up.â
âAh, well. I was trying to get hold of a piece of equipment I knew was among Sir Odoâs things in the barn,â he said. âThe girth from a saddle.â
âContinue,â the Queen said, as he paused, clearly thinking the question answered.
âWell, obviously I didnât get it, since that - that thug sliced my ankle tâ the bone when I tried. Seems the girth held up, though, regardless, through today; probably because Sir Odo donât take many hits, luckily for him.â
âNo, itâs because I found it last night and changed it out for a new one,â Gascon said, angrily. âYouâre the one who cut it, are you?â
  Gaheris nodded.
âI knew it,â the Duke muttered; Meve waved his self-congratulatory comment away, scowling.
  âWhen did you do it?â
âOh, a month ago, or more,â he said. âJust before the duel against Sir Holt.â
  âWhy?â
He blinked at the question and said, as if it was obvious, âBecause Sir Holt told me to, in hopes heâd win.â
âYou did a bad job, then,â Gascon snapped; Gaheris looked mildly offended.
âNo,â he said. âNo, I didnât. The girth held, did it not? Sir Odo won - or, well he could have, if heâd wanted to.â
He looked at his interrogatorsâ baffled stares, and then explained, patiently, âLook - I cut through the leather, left just enough to hold a strain for a good while, glued it so itâd look like nothing, and told Holt Iâd done what he wanted. Simple. I just didnât have the chance to get it back, after the fight; too many people hanging around who mightâve seen me. If I had done, nobody would have been the wiser.â
Meve stared at him, torn between confusion and anger, opened her mouth, and closed it again as an echo of distant horns bounced off the buildings.
âDamn,â she said. âI have to go. Gascon, find Sir Holt.â
âWhat should I do with him?â he asked, as she turned to leave; she hesitated, considered her options, and came to a hasty decision.
âJust keep tabs on him, donât let him leave town, and - and weâll sort this mess out, later.â
âYouâll find him in the tavern, no doubt,â Gaheris said wearily to Gascon, as she quickly departed.
She nearly ran back through the streets, but she was still late; she returned to the lists to find the Baroness had started the final round without her. However, she she was in time to see Nolda avoid an immediate defeat by the same method she had used on Sir Eres, but Reynard survived her trick, when his fellow knight hadnât. She nodded in satisfaction at the display.
âYour man is a quick study, as heâs always been,â said the Baroness, as if Meve had never been away. The next pass involved no deceptions from either side, nor any displays of brilliance; Nolda blocked an ordinary sort of attack on her shield, and never touched Sir Odo.
âHeâs testing the waters,â Meve said, slightly bored with her favoriteâs typically cautious tactics. âHow long have they been at it?â
âYou only missed one pass; the foreignerâs better at this than I expected.â
âSheâs tricky,â Giselle noted, appreciatively. âWhatâs the Count doing, there?â
There was a short pause; Meve glanced downfield and answered, âOh, he wants a different lance, I imagine.â
The delay took a full half minute, due to some confusion on Ethanâs part; the Baroness mumbled a displeased remark about the squireâs ineptitude, and then the combat began again.
âHe wants to make up for Noldaâs left-handedness,â the Baroness explained, louder, âThatâs what the long spear is for. Most people donât learn to fight the way she does -â
She broke off; Reynardâs change of weapon had answered, and he had dealt a strike that had nearly unseated his opponent; she managed to stay in the saddle by luck or skill and they lined up again.
âHe has her figured out; thisâll be thâ end of it,â said Meve. The Baroness nodded agreement. Giselle looked unconvinced, but, in the end, Reynard landed a direct attack to his opponentâs helm and Nolda crashed to earth at long last.
âA devilishly difficult play,â the Baroness said, in the silence that followed. âDangerous, too.â
Reynard had turned to look behind himself, before his horse had even reached the end of the barricade; Nolda lay still on the ground for a few moments, and then, as her husband vaulted the fence and came running toward her, stirred and sat up. She waved an irritated hand at Bohault and Reynard, who had trotted back and dropped from his horse as soon as he was rid of his lance, but neither paid attention to her gestures or her repeated insistence that she was perfectly fine. The crowdâs general din returned, drowning out their conversation; Meve breathed a relieved sigh and reluctantly turned her thoughts back to Gaheris and Sir Holt, and then - she frowned slightly - Gasconâs mysterious absence during the day.
âPity you canât make her a knight,â Giselle said, of Nolda, interrupting her consideration; Meveâs frown grew thoughtful.
âA knight,â she repeated to herself, under her breath, watching the muddle on the field break up - Reynard back to his horse, Bohault and Nolda to hers - a vague connection, or suspicion, growing in the back of her mind. She turned abruptly to the Baroness, interrupted an ongoing reminisce on the handful of times sheâd seen another knight employ a tactic similar to Reynardâs winning strike, and said, âListen, Hilde - the black knight; do you know who he is?â
The Baroness hesitated, slightly confused, and replied, choosing her words carefully, âI believe so, but - wasnât that what you and the Duke spoke about?â
âNo,â the Queen said, disgruntled. âNo, it wasnât.â   Â
âAh,â she said, looking away toward the approaching victors, âWell, perhaps you should. Count Odo, congratulations on another victory; well fought, Nolda. My lord, youâve won quite a fine horse, I believe, and you, madam, a sword. Theyâll be bringing them along shortly.â
Any personal urgency she felt to finally sort out her ongoing affairs was wasted; the prizes took very little time to hand out, but a number of unrelated problems were brought to her individual attention as soon as the victors rode away. She sent Giselle back to her tavern with genuine gratitude for her service, dealt out various solutions, and then at last she and the Baroness set off toward the castle. The streets of the city were packed, twilight was setting in, and there was no way to hurry their progress no matter how their guard tried. A wagon that had lost a wheel blocked the way, first, and then a succession of other disruptions: a traveling comedic play about a sorcerer and some maidens, some cows wandering loose in the street, a troupe of drunken minstrels playing festive tunes, a strange procession led by a solemn youth holding a freshly cut horseâs head mounted on a pole as a banner, a group of offended clerics in its wake, handcarts selling buns and ale, and, finally, on the bridge over the castle moat, an armored knight still on his charger, who would not be shifted by man or beast until Meve stepped out of the torchlit crowd and threatened to remove him herself.
Then there was yet another feast, this time held in the hall and attended by more of the usual crowd - but, of course, with the horde of knights and sundry that had participated in the jousts, somewhat more of them than normal. There were the typical, expected customs - a boarâs head served, bowls of spiced ale passed around, a number of favors and pardons bestowed, gifts received (and given; Count Odo, for one, courteously gave the warhorse heâd won earlier in the day to Nolda, who accepted it in a fiercely embarrassed but otherwise gracious fashion) - and various other ancient rituals observed.
âI wouldâve asked if you thought giving her the horse was a good idea,â Reynard said privately to the Queen, during the Mayorâs inevitable remarks, âBut I didnât catch you in time. If Iâm honest itâs less a gift and more a bribe, of a sort; Ethanâs left-handed, same as her, and I thought it might make it easier to convince her to teach him.â
âThere were some delays getting back,â she replied, also in an undertone, her eyes resolutely fixed on the speaker as he recited a hopeful list of future developments for the upcoming year. âThis whole afternoonâs been nothing but delays, in fact.â
âIâll tell you about it later,â she added, quickly, as the speech ended, aimed a quick but pointed glance at the distant Gascon, who immediately slipped out a side door, and then dismissed the court in the exact words sheâd recited for ten years, and, before her, her late husband, and his father, and their distant grandfathers, for all of remembered history.
Finally getting rid of her guests took much longer than the traditional close to the winter solstice did. As a result, it was past midnight before she made the solitary climb up the stairs to her office, looking forward to finally having a quiet minute to think. However, Reynard and Gascon - and Gaheris - were within, despite the late hour; the squire stopped in the middle of a sentence and all three men automatically turned her way when she stepped through the door. She waved an impatient hand at him to continue and leaned against her own desk, hiding her weariness behind a cold stare. Gaheris returned to repeating his confession; Reynard listened in silence, his expression drifting subtly between offense and genuine confusion. At the end, he frowned and asked, âYou - pretended to sabotage my equipment? Why? Why not do it properly, I mean?â
  The squire shrugged.
âItâs - listen; before I go on, you should know Holtâs an ass, and a stubborn one at that. Yes, I see youâve all noticed. Well, I couldnât dissuade him when thâ idea came into his fool head, but Iâd no wish tâ see him win a fight by such a trick, against such an obviously superior opponent. Itâs not right, and, also, would be easily seen through. What I did seemed the simplest solution.â
âYou could have refused,â Reynard pointed out; Gaheris smiled pityingly at him and shook his head. His response drew an exasperated comment from Meve.
âYou could have done nothing at all, and told him otherwise.â
  He frowned, again mildly offended.
âIâm no liar,â he said. âIf I can find any other solution, I mean. They say a half-truthâs better than a lie, donât they?â
Reynard blinked, considered, and then shook his head. Gascon shrugged his shoulders, grudgingly.
âYouâre clearly a capable man,â Meve said. âWhy do you serve someone you know isnât?â
Gaheris shook his head again, helplessly.
âHoltâs always been like this,â he explained, âEver since he was a boy. Heâs a decent fighter, but heâs too competitive for his own good, and heâs still not learned tâ pick his battles. However, he is my little brother - well, half-brother; my mother married Sir Ulrich after my father died. He was a stonemason,â he explained, seeing the Queen raise a questioning eyebrow, a gleam of challenge in his dark eyes. âHis name was Gors.â
When she failed to react to his admission, he continued:
âAnyway, she wanted me tâ look after Holt, best I can. He isnât a bad person, really, he just -â
  He shrugged.
âHe canât help how he is, when heâs in a mood, and when he isnât heâs not the worst of men, or the worst of nobles, for that matter. Heâs never struck a knight whoâs yielded, for one, and heâs not one to steal or run villainous among thâ yeomen. And, heâs all the family I got left,â he finally finished. Meve nodded and said nothing for a long moment; she noticed that he couldnât have been any older than herself, but he briefly appeared gray and worn down. She was, to her mild irritation, somewhat sympathetic to his troubles. Gascon glanced from her icy frown to Gaherisâs tired stare, curiously. Reynard watched her carefully.
âKeep him under guard,â she said to Gascon. âIâm not sure what to do with him or his brother, just yet. Wait - leave him on the landing; the guards there will look after him for the moment. Iâve another matter to discuss, before you go.â
âHeâs the black knight,â she said to Reynard, as Gascon stepped back in without his captive. âDid you know?â
âNo, of course not,â the Count said, frowning slightly. âAlthough, in truth, thâ idea has crossed my mind, but I found it - unlikely.â
Gascon hesitated, then shrugged, grinned broadly, and said, âYou caught me at last, mâlady; howâd you figure it?â
âThe Baroness it was that discovered you, not me,â Meve said, crossing her arms stubbornly; she attempted to appear angry, but in the end managed only mild, slightly amused, annoyance. âAlso, she appears to have found me out, as well, incidentally. In fact, there seems to be very little she doesnât know.â
âSheâs uncommonly sharp, no doubt about it,â Gascon agreed, readily.
âSo,â she continued, âIs there anything at all to be gained by asking you what you were doing, today?â
âWonât tell you unless you first promise not tâ bite my head off,â he said promptly.
âYes, very well, as itâs the solstice, but donât expect any more favors from me before the summer, at earliest. I mean it, Gascon.â
Reynard sat down, shaking his head at them; Gascon nodded and said, âFairâs fair. Well, then, itâs a short tale: I won that fight against Sir Holt, then I saw Gaheris come limping âround to scrape him up off the turf, and it all came together clear as mud, so I decided it was time tâ stop playing at knights for the day and do some real work.â
âYou could have appeared in the joust as yourself,â Reynard remarked, almost idly, âAnd not as -â
âAs me,â Meve interrupted, a hint of her previous ire returning.
âYes, well - the black knightâs more interesting than I am,â he explained, with a broad shrug. âPeople have heard of his prowess, or what have you; the dangerous reputationâs an advantage, of sorts.â
âYes, weâve heard, in fact,â Meve said, coldly. âSlew a werewolf, did you?â
âSure did,â Gascon replied. âOr, I helped, anyhow. There was a witcher involved. Like Gaheris said: half a truthâs better than a lie, so I let the former take precedence.â
âThatâs not the saying, as you know perfectly well. Itâs worse,â Reynard said, rolling his eyes. âHalf a truth is worse than a lie.â
Gascon shrugged at him, grinning slightly. Meve interrupted their tangent, impatiently.
âAnd you killed a dragon, they say?â
âNot I,â the Duke said, quickly, eyeing the Queenâs scowl. âThâ only dragonslayer here is yourself - although, I did kill a pretty big snake in a roadside inn. The landlady was most impressed. So was some minstrel who happened tâ be around, it appears; he has, uh, embellished thâ incident, somewhat.â
âYes, that much is obvious,â Reynard noted, âBut howâd he know it was the black knight who did the deed and not merely one Gascon Brossard?â
At last, Gascon turned uncomfortably self-conscious and clammed up; Meve watched him squirm for a long moment and decided, after a glance at the amused gleam in Reynardâs eye, to not to press the issue further.
âAnd you gave poor Sir Orlac a dunking,â she remarked, finally; Gascon looked relieved and seized on the change in subject.
âYes, that storyâs true,â he admitted. âHeâs not a bad fighter, at all, thought he donât seem to enjoy it much. It took some convincing tâ even get him to go against me, actually, but it was worth the time, in thâ end, to get thâ extra practice.â
âYou have improved, somewhat,â Reynard observed, casually. He shot a quick look at Meve; she spotted it and broke off her intended response, frowning. Gascon either missed or ignored their exchange and said, brightly, âWhy thank you, sir.â
âAlthough,â the knight continued, âIt remains to be seen if you can beat me just yet; Meve, of course, has already unhorsed you once, so no thereâs burning question to be answered on that account.â
âBy a trick,â Gascon said, and then, as Reynard shrugged unconcernedly, added, âLook, I only really wanted tâ fight Sir Holt and beat him, again, to prove I could, like. I had no notion of much else.â
âYes, very likely,â Meve muttered, rolling her eyes; Reynard continued, despite her:
âNot afraid to lose, are you?â
âOf course not; it happens all the time,â Gascon said, mildly indignant.
âWell, then, tomorrow, if youâve no other plans, letâs see how good youâve really become, shall we? Without your intimidating disguise, I mean.â
âWell, all right,â the Duke said, doubtfully, clearly wary about what exactly he was agreeing to. âI suppose Iâm not busy, but - â
âGood. Iâll see you first thing in the morning, then,â Reynard said, a suggestion of finality in his voice; Gascon still looked uncertain, but nodded and then made a tactical retreat to âsee to those other matters.â
âWhat the devil are you at, Reynard?â Meve asked, the instant he was gone. He stood up, strode across the room with a self-satisfied smile, and wrapped his arms around her.
âYouâve had a long day,â he said, âLet me worry about it.â
âUgh. Fine, then; do what you want,â she said, ingraciously, leaned her forehead against his chest, and continued with a muffled sigh, âWhat do you think I should do with Holt? I canât very well banish him for trying to cheat in a duel, much as Iâd like to - he is the sole legal heir to Sir Ulrich, who has been a relatively loyal supporter of the crown - nor can I demote him, since he isnât one of my own knights.â
âJust ban him from your tournaments, and the rest of the realm will follow,â he said, as if it was obvious, âItâs the worst thing that could happen to a young knight.â
âYouâd know better than I,â she remarked, unfolded her arms, slid them around his waist, and added, âWhat about Gaheris?â
âI donât know,â Reynard said, âHeâs not so easy to deal with.â
âThe trouble is,â Meve said, darkly, â- the trouble is that, in his circumstances, heâs done nothing worse than you or I have in the past, which makes me feel something of a hypocrite if I consider having him arrested for treason - as I certainly could, given your indispensable position and high rank.â
âYes, a - a similar thought crossed my own mind, to be honest.â
âWell, itâs true,â she said, raising her head and frowning up at him. âIsnât it? Reginald -â
âHe wasnât quite so bad as Holt.â
âBecause he was older, and the King, and no other reason. Well, and he had you around to clean up after his worst decisions. And, his sons - my sons - are the same, or worse, than Sir Holt. Or were, I mean. Anseis certainly is, in any case.â
âPerhaps,â Reynard said, thoughtfully, âThereâs no need to do anything to Gaheris, at all.â
âAs youâre thâ one he wronged, in thâ end I think what happens to him should really be your decision,â Meve said, shrugging.
âWell, then, speaking from experience, the manâs trials in keeping control of his brother are worse than anything you might think up.â
âYes, I know what you mean. Iâve no wish to see him hang or rot in prison, but banishment would be no curse to him, and weâd have to contend with Holt still, regardless, but without a convenient manager. What a waste; were he noble-born, Iâd have some use for a man of his talents, and I could more easily secure his future loyalty. A shame, to have Holt be thâ one who inherits old Ulrichâs lands and titles, and Gaheris remain a squire still.â
âI agree,â Reynard said. âHowever, that problem only you can solve.â
She looked into his eyes, thoughtfully, and nodded.

Life Update
Itâs been a while since Iâve last posted. The last time I posted was the first day of this semester, and now itâs basically two weeks in. Have things changed a lot? Iâd say, not really. But life has been good definitely.
Today is a rainy day, so Iâm in a mood to finally write and idk vent some feelings. Today, Iâve slept in for a while. I ate lunch and then showered and met up with Rebecca. The reason why I met up with Rebecca is because sheâs auditioning for Mulan and needs photos of her. She asked if I could take photos of her and I was like sure. So I got over to her place at like 3:30 and it was a pretty cloudy cold day. We walked around to the beach near Manzanita (one of the 2nd year dorms), itâs a meh beach. I took photos of her, asked her about her classes, winter break, and etc. Since although we have math together this quarter, I havenât really seen her. But sheâs Kaiâs ochem lab partner this quarter tho. It was nice talking to her. She asked if thereâs any new gossip going on with my life, and I was like haha nah. Apparently I have pretty friends tho, so my next gf has to be pretty since I must have high standards according to her. I was like nah, Iâm pretty chill tbh in terms of looks. Iâm definitely more of a personality person. I asked her if anything is new with her love life, and she says she likes being single a lot. She asked about Stefanie actually, and I told her I havenât really talked to Stefanie since August. Apparently Rebecca heard gossip about Stefanie o.o I was like oh and told me some stuff? I wonder who told her such gossip o.o. She asked if I met Helen before, since sheâs good friends with Helen. I told her that I met Helen once at a USC party lol. Then Rebecca treated me to a starbucks frap and drove me to my house, which was nice of her. Since her place is a bit far (walking wise at least) from my place. Then I chilled, ate dinner with my friend Bryan, made some plans with him, and yeah. He asked if I was going to Bharatâs party tonight, but I honestly wasnât feeling it today. I know I didnât go out Friday, but idk this week is like one of those weeks where I just wanna stay in my room and be by myself. Iâve been pretty good about hanging out with my SB friends and thereâs like a groupme with all 12 of us in it now lol. On Friday, they went to watch a horror movie, but I wasnât feeling like going. I actually thought about just going to the movie theaters by myself and watching La La Land by myself. I never watched a movie by myself, but it feels like it could be a nice thing just going and watching by myself. Idk I heard La La Land is good and I really wanna watch it. So yeah, today, I just kinda chilled in doors and had a good day at home. Idk I just enjoy those lazy rainy days indoors and cuddling up in bed. Also I played some Overwatch with my friend Ann (from back home) and it was cool. Also Rebecca + Lindsay (her housemate) both recently said we should hang out more, and I agreed we should haha.Â
As for general updates overall... Schoolâs been going good, nothing to complain about yet. I got a new lab partner in ochem, but sheâs like idk the most unsocial lab partner yet? Like she doesnât make any small talk like oh howâs your day, what classes are u taking, etc etc. Idk Iâve had some cool lab partners like my MCDB1C lab partner last year :( and my lab partner last quarter is pretty cool. I see him at parties sometime still haha and we say hi and whatâs up and stuff. But yeah, canât complain about classes yet. Going to be studying for them tomorrow! As for friends, idk if Iâve made new friends exactly just yet. I still keep in touch with Hope and Fyona. Fyona and I text pretty much every day and facetime fairly often just for fun. Weâre like best friends and itâs cool. Catherine, I still snapchat every now and then, but havenât really talked to her. Kristy is taking ochem lab and I see her now and then with Jessica. We all ate ramen with Brent, Bharat, Henry, and Bryan just like last week! Idk thereâs so much to update, even tho itâs just been a bit. Uhm... School okay, maybe stressed about future when it gets to like 4th year and stuff. But I guess just gotta take life one step at a time sometimes. Iâve became decent friends with one of my models Cindy! We made plans to shoot sometime in the future. My photography ig has been doing some good growth :D itâs at nearly 800 followers~ and I still get hit up by models randomly asking to shoot with me still, which is cool. Outside of the shoot with Rebecca today, I havenât really shot lately. But I might in February with Sabrina in Fyona, maybe a future shoot with Cindy again, uhh random models potentially, and this one photographer that wants to link up and he works near SB. Idk photography going well! As for sm4sh, thereâs no tournaments recently. But this week was the Arcadian on Thursday, which is a tournie where no PR players can play in. Iâm legit ranked 3 in SB, so I canât play haha. But Brent played and I went to support him + gave him some coaching. He ended up getting top 8, which is really good. It had like 70 ppl!! Uhh, I still keep up with my friend Jia. Kai and I are doing fine, she liked her expensive xmas gift that she chose. Sheâs getting a roommate still, and she hasnât really been home this entire week. The roommate is prob gonna be some random, idk who or when theyâll move in. But Iâll miss having the house to myself T_T ahhh. Hopefully they wonât be a bad housemate D:  I play overwatch with my boi Alan still now and then. I havenât really bought clothes in a while, so no progress there. As for clothing brand, itâs made some progress. Henry is a lagger with vectorizing the designs ahhh. Since we have one good design :( and just want it already done. But we got 3 samples of a pretty basic shirt that says, âNo Sleepâ. Itâs to be like edgy and fit our sad boy theme. Like you can interpret it in a lot of ways. Like oh no sleep, since weâre up late crying or thinking. Or if you wear it to the gym, itâll be hardcore like damn this guy going hard, no sleep!! But yeah :3 I did the designs for that and we got 3 samples being shipped to me. If itâs good, then weâll do an order for a couple more to sell to friends. Mostly waiting for Henry to finish the graphic design for our first real tee. Then maybe weâll have a launch party + make a website + ig. Then once we have another design done, then weâll start to advertise it I guess lol. So clothing brand going okie. These past two weeks, I did go to friend parties, ate dinner/lunch with friends, go to the gym and etc. Oh right. So Iâve been really really good about my diet this week. Iâve tracked my calories and ate reallly well in terms of eating at a calorie deficit. Last week I was pretty good too, but this week damn Iâve been really good. Itâs hard a bit, but life style change yo. Iâve been hitting the gym occasionally too, so that should help! Just wait 1-2 more months yo :D gonna be way more fit and super happy with my appearance. My skin has been good lately, so thatâs going for me! But yeah been improving fitness wise ever since I got back to school. I guess I donât really have much to complain about. I have good friends that invite me to things, so I have the option to decide whether or not go out haha. I have buddies for lunch/dinner if I want. I have gym buddies like Brent/Bharat/Shannie/Brooke. Been doing good progress on every aspect I guess of my life, and nothing bad happened at all lately. So I guess I gotta appreciate more when things are just content or good. But yeah, brief summary I guess about how Iâm doing, thereâs probably a bunch more stuff that I havenât thought of. I think Iâm going home next week for Lunar New Years :O I also have midterms next week .-.Â
As for my love life.. Hmhm, thatâs a bit more tricky in some ways. I guess similar to Rebecca. I think I finally got to a point where Iâm definitely okay and fine being single. I legit have made 0 attempts on looking for a gf, and been mostly focused on myself for once. I definitely think Iâm making some progress on myself and working even more on improving myself in mental/physical/etc aspects. I have gained back more confidence in myself as well. I definitely think I could be a great SO as well. Like Iâd like to think that Iâm fairly knowledgeable about relationships. Iâve done some reflecting and learned from mistakes on what to do/not to do and I hink Iâve improved in how I treat ppl/myself/etc as well! But hey, Iâm the type of dude that would drive hours just to see a SO for an hour or even 30 minutes. Iâm the type of guy that would genuinely cherish them, try to keep interest by flirting with them, show them love/affection through words + actions, give small gifts now and then, treat them to every meal if possible, drive them around, try to find new places for adventures, make plans with them, make sacrifices for them, try to get into their hobbies, pull all nighters for them, try to give amazing gifts, try to plan/throw great life milestone events, and etc. So I guess Iâm confident in my ability on being a good SO, so Iâm not shying away from relationships. But Iâm not necessarily going out of my way to look for one. Iâm trying for once to focus on myself and improve myself, be happy on my own, and become an even better person for myself and I guess maybe future SO as well. But yeah, not in the place in my life, where I canât be vulnerable anymore. Definitely at a good place, where I could take risks and be vulnerable and open my heart again, if I wanted to. But no real big motivation to go out of my way to look for a SO or anything rn. If it happens, it happens. I guess semi-related to my love life, is that my ex Kristy randomly followed my theo.centric ig account o: we havenât talked in maybe almost a year? So Iâm surprised she followed me, but I followed back since whateverz. Nothing came out of it tho, still havenât talked, and itâs been a while since uh she followed me (maybe a week)? As for Stefanie. Honestly, I miss her still a bit to this day. I guess Iâm fine being single and would be open to dating other people. Yet for whatever reason, I still miss her deep down in my heart... I guess I just went through so much and spent so much time with her and was so used to having her in my life, that itâs hard without her sometimes. I guess I shouldnât in some ways, since sigh some of the things she did to me... But idk... :( I canât help it... I guess even tho Iâve âmoved onâ, the way things were/things ended just never sat well with me to this day like closure was kinda reached but not really... I guess in an ideal world, maybe she would have loved me more and looked only at me.. Oh well, life. Idk I guess itâs late and just in an eh mood. Idk itâs crazy, since Iâve broken up with Kristy/broke off short things with so and so, but I guess I never think about them this long after a break up... Idk why itâs like this with Stetefanie now... She was so mean to me too :( sigh. Maybe one last emotional update later. A bit sleepy now and I guess thatâs all for now. Iâm good, maybe sad a bit sometimes at night, improved myself, working on all my hobbies + school, and yeah.
