Next up in the dragons that never were series is Egg's....egg. ;) Aegon V Targaryen, of Dunk and Egg fame, had a cradle egg that he says has white and green swirls (fun fact: during this period there are 3 described eggs. This one, Elaena's white and gold one, and Lord Butterwell's red and black one. They're very similar in color to Dany's 3 eggs.). As usual, there's a short blurb/story about the egg below the art.
"Unlike most of the cradle eggs that hatch at all, Aegon's cradle egg hatched not when he was a baby, but when he was four years old. The young prince was delighted to finally have his own bonded dragon, whom he named Zokerion, after the old Valyrian god of the deep forests. For that was the creature's coloring: his body was the deep, rich green of the summer forest, with wings and horns of brilliant white.
Although Aegon was a small child who would have been no great burden for another dragon, his dragon was also small and slow to grow, and did not reach a ridable size until well after Aegon left to squire for Ser Duncan. However, when he returned and found that his dragon had grown, he eagerly took his first flight. Having been away from Zokerion for so long meant that their bond was not as strong as it should be, and his control was not as skillful has it might have been. While the beast did obey its master, it protested some, spitting fireballs the color of his scales into the sky before allowing Aegon to fly him around the city. But Aegon, stubborn as he was, stayed in the city and practiced flying every day, and their bond strengthened. Zokerion started to grow more quickly, and within two years had near doubled its size. It is said that when Egg met his future bride in 219AC he earned her love by taking her for rides on his dragon. Whether this is true or not we cannot know, but it is common knowledge that Zokerion was often seen with two people upon his back.
In 233 AC, the 33-year-old Aegon on Zokerion joined his father, King Maekar I, who rode an old, red beast named Balraxes, in putting down the Peake Uprising. Two dragons was more than enough to quickly end the altercation with few casualties, but Aegon's mount was wounded by a scorpion bolt that tore a long gash in its wing. The wound was sewn together by the dragon keepers, but Zokerion could no longer participate in the battle and Aegon stayed longer than he wished in Dorne in order for it to heal enough to return to King's Landing."

need to put some kind of disclaimer on all my silt verses shipping posts to say that i actually think it's awesome that tsv is a very aromantic narrative and that the shipping potential is incredibly limited and largely based on textual extrapolation. i just have a disease called "aromantic who enjoys deconstructing the traditional expectations/"tropes" associated with romance and examining how they can possibly be challenged, reclaimed, or transformed by the people they're used to exploit and shun for failing to meet these ideals".
