LA COMIC CON

Today, I closet cosplay as 11th doctor bc I'm meeting Matt Smith!
When waiting for an autograph, they're a lot of people who came her to meet Matt. Thankfully, I'm one of those people who are first in waiting
When I finally met Matt for an autograph, he's like 'ayye another doctor!" And OML HE'S SO CUTE AND SWEETIE. I gave him my drawing of him as 11th doctor and the bracelet I made the night before, he loves it sm! He loves my cosplay of his doctor 🥹. And I told him that my tumblr bestie (she's from a different country) of mine told me to say to him that she admire him and his talent and wishes him for happiness. He told me to tell my friend that he wishes her back
For the photo op, when I'm next top be pic with him, he said "hello doctor!" 🥹. I looks bit awkward in the photo op. My apologies to my sister for cutting her off from the pic
And I have a great time today at the con

He's a pretty little het white boy and they expect a few teens will drag their moms to the con. Meanwhile, if we're going to keep our "spots," we need to buy Matt Barr, Justin, and Mitch out like we did at RICC. (Gold is obv more expensive, but they do have day passes that can make CE virtually a comic con.)
I can just imagine those moms... "Drake, who?" LOL!
As for tickets, from what I've seen on Twitter, any Jared fan going to Dallas has already started purchasing!
If people want to do 'a la carte', it's actually not looking too bad with Creation's current sale.
Sunday Only Admission: $71.10
Mitch Photo Op; $72 Matt Photo Op: $45 Justin Photo Op: $45 Walker Photo Op (w/Jared) (est.): $350 - $450 WIndy Photo Op (est.): $100-$150 Mitch Auto: $54 Matt Auto: $36 Justin Auto: $36
Total: $809 - $959 (excluding Jared photo ops and autos)

Where MC would take them on holiday in the human realm (brothers, Diavolo and Solomon)
Lucifer:
- MC takes him to London solely so that they can watch a performance at the West End theatre (*cough* Phantom of the Opera *cough*)
- She also takes him to see Opera shows, knowing he’d be absolutely mesmerised by the performances they put on with the huge stages and complete orchestras
- They stay in a really high-end hotel and have romantic evenings eating at fancy restaurants and then sharing a bath together when they get back
- Shows him Buckingham Palace, “that’s where the English equivalent to Diavolo lives”
Mammon:
- VIVA. LAS. VEGAS.
- MC gets SO excited to take Mammon to Vegas because he will be in his absolute element with all of the casinos
- His eyes light up when he first sees the colossal hotels with all of their elaborate designs
- Him and MC become partners in crimes, hitting the casinos in their fanciest clothes and fake jewellery pretending they’re wealthy royals from a small country in Europe called ‘Devildom’
- They lose all of their money but they find it hilarious because they have so much fun together
Levi:
- this one is pretty obvious: she takes him to Japan of course! The home of anime
- Levi has never been so excited in all of his life as he walks through the city of Tokyo with wide eyes
- He falls in love with everything he sees, MC keeps treating him to little gifts that she notices he ogles over when they’re in shops (she does begin to worry how on Earth they’re going to transport it all back to Devildom afterwards though)
- They take cute selfies together: sharing bubble tea, Levi posing with cosplayers etc
***BONUS: MC takes Levi to San Diego so that they can go to the human Comic Con (she doesn’t tell him they’re going though). Levi has never felt so welcome in a place ever before in his life and begs MC to take him again the following year***
Satan:
- Satan reads a lot and he’s very gentlemanly with MC - when she looks at him she sees Mr Darcy
- To make her fantasies of Satan x Mr Darcy come to life, she takes him on a trip to England, renting out the most beautiful, historic cottage in the countryside
- The area around their cottage is so scenic, with willow trees and rivers; Satan describes it as ‘something he’d read about in a book’
- He loves the gesture! The pair often spend their evenings cuddled up naked under a blanket beside the fire as he reads Pride and Prejudice to her before it turns into something much steamier
Asmo:
- MC takes him to Paris obviously, what’s more romantic?
- It’s called the ‘City of Love’ and Asmo soon finds out why
- Their time away together is spent exploring cute French cafes, taking selfies in front of the Eiffel Tower and making sweet love in their elegant hotel (sometimes even on the balcony if they’re feeling extra frisky)
- They explore all of the high end shops and popular museums
- To solidify their love and to remember their holiday, they write their names on a padlock and attach it to the Pont des Arts bridge
- Also an excuse to be French kissing a LOT
Beel:
- MC takes Beel to Rome and not just because it’s a beautiful city filled with history, but because she wants to introduce him to possibly the best food the human realm has to offer: Italian food
- Beel falls in love with everything he eats there. His personal favourite is the gelato
- Every day MC treats him to some scoops of the flavour of his choice
- They make a wish in the Trevi fountain (MC assumes his wish is about food but it’s actually a plea for MC to always love him)
- Her and Beel unconsciously recreate the scene from ‘Lady and the Hound’ where they kiss after chewing on the same piece of spaghetti
Belphie:
- MC knows Belphie isn’t a very active person and would appreciate a peaceful holiday more than an all action one
- She takes him to a really scenic village in the Netherlands; one that is surrounded by tulip fields
- Belphie’s absolutely mesmerised by all of the colours and the windmills that erect from the ground
- He finds it so, so therapeutic
- MC does have to stop him from falling asleep in the fields though, “yes I know the flowers look comfy but you can’t use them as a bed!”
Diavolo:
- MC thinks the Prince of Devildom could do with a break considering how hard he works all of the time
- And where do humans go to get away from everything? The Maldives
- Their holiday is SO romantic, it’s just the two of them in their own beach hut surrounded by nothing but crystal clear oceans and white sands
- More often than not they will have steamy, shirtless makeout sessions in the sand every night after drinking too many pina coladas
- Lots and lots and lots of sex (with a view!)
Solomon:
- MC would take him to the Harry Potter studios in London or Universal Studios in America as a joke
- “Now you can feel at home with your wizard friends!”
- Solomon doesn’t find the gesture as funny but he makes the most out of the day, eventually giving in to her teasing
- MC cries with laughter whenever he poses next to any of the photo ops with his wand out and a dramatic expression on his face
- Their entire trip gets documented on Devilgram, showing the demons that they’re still staying in contact!

Belated RCCC Debrief: Day 1
Last weekend, @tundra-tiger and I got to go to Rose City Comic Con, and it was a lot of fun!
Tumblr media
(Image description: a photograph of OP cosplaying Orpheus from Hadestown; they are wearing a white tee-shirt, grey slacks, brown leather suspenders.  They have a red bandana around their neck; their eyes are closed and they are singing while strumming a guitar.  Text on the photo reads “Head empty.  Only ‘la la la la.’”  End ID)
I wasn’t able to get there until 6:20, since I got out of work late (#teacherlife) and had to drive a few hours, but I was able to get a parking spot near the convention center.  I was going to meet Tiger there, and at first, I totally didn’t recognize them -- they had surprised me by putting together a Eurydice cosplay!
Tumblr media
(photo featuring Eurydice and one (1) Oblivious Boyfriend)
(Image description: a selfie of Tiger cosplaying Eurydice; it shows them from the chest up, and they are wearing a grey cap, black suspenders, and a white cloth band around their chest.  In the background is OP as Orpheus, whose back is to the camera and who is looking away.  End ID.)
Even though we were only at the convention center for an hour and a half, a few people recognized us and stopped for photos.  I got to sing at one person...but between allergies, the first week of teaching, and Very Strong Performance Anxiety, my voice cracked a little...  We also got to trade flowers with a cosplayer who was handing out blue roses.
I’m definitely looking forward to practicing guitar more and doing this cosplay again sometime!

I’m going to share some good news here. I’m going to have some money in my account soon which is good at least for awhile so I’m going to be tired in this upcoming month. It’s only temporary. I recently splurged money on my friend’s birthday present which is a brand name, stranger things photo ops, and now saving up for merch at jonas concert also maybe for LA comic con. I already brought photos for LA.
On top of that, I found $450 dollars from previous chinese new years that I forgot.

I got to video chat with my favorite actress today and support a good cause! Thank you for being so sweet @melissajoanhart and asking about my arm! I got a Cameo video from you for Christmas and now we video chatted. I'm so happy I finally got to meet you! A few years ago I bought a photo op for you in the Stan Lee Comic Con and drove from San Diego to LA after a night shift just to meet you, but when I got there they told me you canceled for that day (it was a Sunday, you were there Saturday but I couldn't go then) and I was so bummed. I drove back home, tried to take a nap, and then headed to work for another night shift. It was a long night! But I'm still hoping we will meet in person! Hopefully I will finally get to hug you soon! 🙏💜

Taylor was also there 😜💜

girl will u be sharing the whole meeting tom experience like what did he say what did he smell like i know very creepy but IM SO CURIOUS HDHDHDH
OKAY, STORY-TIME ––> long read with reaction pics
first thing, WOW. he had a crazy, crazy, crazy long-ass schedule. he was in LA saturday, and philly on sunday by 9 AM? probably? then i knew his projected schedule was panel from 10-10:45, 11pm photo op, 1 pm autograph, 3 pm photo op, 4 pm autograph. totally stacked! i signed up for the photos at 3 cos that’s easier for me….
little did i know… how long it would take……………….…
so, his whole schedule got pushed like an hour-ish back? like no real consequence to me, but it made me feel really anxious and just like, whew, thinking that he kept a smile on for like hours & hours. and all i could think of was that i hope he had like an iced coffee or like food or something cos that’s CRAZY. but yeah–––– i got to pass the time with some tumblr friends :) ( @spidey-waffles11 & @seamless-hart ) and my boyfriend but he’s whatever 😛
but OK time rolls up (4:50 PM), i get in line–– and i’m there for SO LONG. but it was ok cos i was talking to this dad & daughter and they were really nice. there were some like super  young girls behind me and they had like cute matching spider-man shirts but i was still looking at them like 🙂 . a part of me felt really extra cos i was really out there with false lashes and a BRIGHT RED dress. for reference, i looked like this:
Tumblr media
cute, i know. this is my armor, and even tho a part of me felt kinda flashy and garrish…. i don’t care! it makes me feel CONFIDENT! but yeah–– do, do, do~ we get through the line, drop off our bags and i feel like we went through a mini-maze of black curtains and then––
HE WAS FUCKING RIGHT THERE THROUGH THE OPEN DOORWAY! i like turned the corner, and was kinda looking to my side at the lady directing and then to the family in front of me–– and then he was there. idk what i expected but i was just like 😦
ok, ok, ok so i think maybe he was looking up to see how many people were next but i’m going to just sit here and believe that MY RED-ASS DRESS caught his eye cos he literally:
Tumblr media
looked at ME, then to the family in front of me as they came to him, but back at me as i walked over to wait. he raised his eyebrows and i smiled back and like, i think he looked at my hand cos i was like holding my wrist cos i was like, “oohhhh shit how the fuck do i stand like a regular person” but yeah either way it was like a back and forth–– that i’m probably romanticizing ALL HELL out of. but i was watching him so-– I SAW WHAT I SAW lol.
and then the family left and i still waited cos i’m polite like that and then he like waved his arm for me to come over and i was like 😧. then i think i literally hopped over and like rolled my shoulders back cos yeah and i smiled soooo hard and i think all i managed to say was , “heeey”
“hi! hello––” he waves me over again and i slide next to him while laughing.
i’m pretty sure i bit my fucking lip and like... no, no one does that in real life. god dammit.
“how are you?” i TRY to ask in a exasperated voice
and i think he just said, “yeah” (cos we were moving really fast it’s ok) and looked forward lmao
but i like was able to look at his face and i was literally like 😫 . what bb cream are you using sis???? it was too fast, i didn’t really absorb anything haha. but wow his lips really look like that i guess haha and i really fit into his side, like alright bro. this is where i belong i guess.
and cos of the time crunch of being super, super late i didn’t really get to talk to him cos it was just like photo time. i didn’t have a pose in mind, i just wanted to be WITH him that’s it.
so i put my hand around his waist and wow he’s lean! and he carries himself super tall, if that makes sense. he stands up pretty straight? but relaxed at the same time? and i think his hand was like on my upper back, near my shoulder but TBH i don’t KNOW. i just felt him press next to me.
uh, everyone keeps asking me what he smells like but i’m pretty sure i didn’t breathe until he let go. and then i was like, “ ah, soap. “
but after the flash of the photo i like turned to him and jfc i was really close. i’m kinda used to standing that close cos my bf is that height but 😬 . he smiled at me and just quickly said.
“hi, thank you so much for coming out.”
and i was like, “no, thank you!” and he kinda guided my back to the direction of the exit and i was like 😣 and i think???? i called back to say, “take care!” but maybe that was just my brain idk
but then?????? he walked next to me for a second? like we walked to the exit together and i was like??????? like there people in the corner i was passing, and he stopped by them. i looked at him again and he smiled and nodded at me.
this was me: 👀
hahahah and then he grabbed a water bottle someone offered to him and i heard him say,
“can you get my bag..? and grab my air pods”
and i like audibly laughed as i left, idk why that was just so funny to me. like there you go rich king. good! for! you!
and WOW. the family from before waited for me and they were like, “how was it?”
hahah and it was so lame cos i was suddenly BLUSHING so fucking hard like 30 seconds after it all happened hahahahahahahah ok but i couldn’t stop thinking about how he like looked at me in the doorway, and even if it doesn’t mean anything imma never let it go hahaha
anyway, he was really nice and his voice was still so excited and lively even tho he’s probably talked to like thousands of people that day. like his charisma was super charming in all of the 20 seconds i really saw him.
lol this is how the photo turned out:
Tumblr media
AND YOU KNOW WHAT? i’m really haaaaappy with it! i’m kinda smiling too hard but lol THAT’S TOM FUCKING HOLLAND AAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH
so ya know, idk if i’ll ever see him like ever again? or if i’ll still always be into him as i have been but–– wow. what an experience to have with the way i am now. hope he’s getting a good night’s rest, and lots of warm hugs from his loved ones! thanks tom! thanks keystone comic con! and thank YOU GUYS for holding me together! 💛

Hello! I'm Slothie!! Nice to meet you.
I just got into the MCU about a year and a half ago. I thought I hated superhero movies, but after watching Guardians 1 + 2, I decided to watch Infinity War to learn more about the big baddy Thanos. From there I fell in love with Spidey, Ironman, Pepperony, and Black Widow. Turns out I was wrong and I actually really love superhero movies.
(Infinity War isn't the greatest place to start in hindsight, but at least it gave me an idea of what characters I'd be interested in.)
Now Marvel - and Spider-Man - is one of my hyper fixations. I saw End-Game and Far From Home opening night, spend way too much money on spider-man merch, have a mostly Avengers themed wardrobe, and spend my spare time writing/reading Irondad fanfiction. I also went to Ace Comic Con in 2019 and got a photo op + autograph from Tom Holland. <3
Favorite MCU Parings: Pepperony, Stucky, Spideychelle
Favorite Fanfiction Tropes: Homeless Peter, Sickfic Peter, Autistic Peter, Trans Peter, Drunk Peter Parker, High Peter Parker, Omorashi, Bedwetting, Puberty Talks, Irondad, Peppermom, Any Peter with a Disability, Bi Ironman, Soulmate AU's
Currently Working On: ❤ Focusing on Spideychelle Week - Stay Tuned!!
Other Chapter Progress: ❤ Rocketman - Alternate Ending - Not Starked ❤ Learning to Fly - Chapter 4 - Outlining ❤ Peter Barker - Part 1 - Sent to Editor
Spideychelle Week - June 21-27 ❤ Road Trip - Outlined ❤ Soulmate AU - Not Started ❤ Fairy Tale Retelling - Outlined ❤ Meeting After High School - Outlined ❤ Roommates - Looking for Editor ❤ Enemies to Lovers - Not Started ❤ Only One Bed - Outlined

There’s Something Rotten in Las Vegas (It’s Clexacon)
Hey y’all, I’m back again with my feelings about Clexacon. This is my 3rd year going to the convention, and sadly it’ll likely be my last. This will be a longgggggg post, so I’ll be putting it under a cut. So if you want to hear about my experience at Clexacon 2019, here you go:
Show! Me! The! Money! (No Seriously, Where’s it Going???)
One of my biggest concerns (among the many that I have) is how this convention is now an opportunity to grab as much money as it can from its LGBTQ audience. I’ll start with the con itself, and then work all the way through to its “affiliates”.
If you wanted to do anything at Clexacon that was not the actual convention itself, you were required to pay an additional fee. I personally went to the Academic Lab, which was an additional $75 on top of the regular $160 3-Day Pass ticket price. The Creator Lab was also the same day and was also an extra $75. Ascension, the Saturday night party, was $50. There was also a comedy show, and unfortunately I don’t have the info on how much that was. And sure, you might say, “Well Morgan, those are all extra events that are optional, so maybe paying for ‘opting in’ makes sense!”. Okay, sure, but there are also plenty of conventions that have additional, “opt in” events that are free for attendees.
Let’s use Dragon Con for example, as I live in Atlanta and am the most familiar with that one currently. Dragon Con has a TON of extra events, including a wrestling show, a burlesque revue, and dance parties. Most of these events are completely free as long as you have your convention badge. The events that aren’t free? An awards banquet and a HUGE ball with celebrity guests. There’s even an academic track for panels, which is also free. And okay, yes, Dragon Con is gigantic and is already established in the convention circuit. There are even smaller conventions that are doing free events too. I lived in Cincinnati for years and went to the Cincinnati Comic Expo, which is much smaller but still runs free events for attendees. So it is doable.
There also needs to be attention drawn to the fact that every organization attached to the “Clexacon” name is ran/owned by the same handful of people (NOTE: The two people in question will not be named here as I do not want to open myself to them potentially taking legal action. However everything stated here is either my experience, the noted experience of others, or easily accessed through organization websites, particularly the website for The Visibility Fund). Those people own and operate Clexacon, DASH Productions, and DASH Photos. They are also on the board for The Visibility Fund, a non-profit organization that gained funds from the Cocktails for Change event hosted at Clexacon this year. Prior to the removal of the Clexacon staff page online (which was removed promptly after the convention ended), the names of people from Tellofilms were also included as staff for the convention. It is deeply concerning that all of the money is being funneled in/through a small number of organizations ran by a small number of people. When I teach Media & Culture I always warn my students of the dangers of a small handful of people owning the means of creation. Often when that occurs, the limits on what the audience is able to see get smaller and smaller, focused on the wants of the corporations and businesses. It seems that Clexacon is moving in that direction.
Who’s Running the Show?
The organization of this year’s Clexacon was a complete and utter mess. I’ll start with the mismanagement of the Vendor Hall. While there was more space in the Vendor Hall this year, this did not lead to better promotion by the Clexacon staff. With the Photo Ops being moved upstairs, the hall was not as cramped, but it did remove a large source of foot traffic for the vendors. A logical next step would have been for Clexacon to tweet something about the Vendor’s Hall to push that foot traffic back into the space, but that did not happen. Instead, the traffic continued to flow upstairs and into the large panel room, with people only coming into the Vendor Hall through word of mouth or to get autographs. As someone who was in the Vendor Hall this year and last year, I noted a significant decrease in foot traffic, and other vendors I talked to noticed it too. This doesn’t even take into account the issues concerning the inconsistent pricing of vendor tables. I cannot speak further about this as I wasn’t involved, but there are multiple tweets in the #clexapocalypse hashtag with more info.
There were also issues with volunteers checking badges and other forms of “security” during the weekend. There were multiple instances where I walked into the Vendor Hall and no one checked my badge. There were instances where I walked into the Vendor Hall without a badge on, and no one questioned me. Bags were rarely being checked. I’m not advocating for more security at Clexacon. I’m against having heavier security or “police” in a queer space, especially a space where queer folks of color are present. However, there at the very least should be volunteers present to make sure that people without badges can’t walk in. Why on earth would I buy a $160 badge if anyone can just walk into the space?
Photo Ops were also a disaster. My friend and I bought a Photo Op for Chantal Thuy and Nafessa Williams. Not only was the picture very washed out, but when we asked about getting an extra print for one of us, we were told by volunteers that extra prints wouldn’t be available, and if we wanted them we’d have to “wait for the digital print and get it printed at a Fed Ex or something”. Y’all, I’ve been to multiple conventions and not once have I not been able to get another print at the con. They also said that it would take nearly two weeks for us to get the digital print, as “it’s just one person processing all of the images”. WHAT. That’s completely unacceptable. Other folks I spoke to at the convention cited similar issues, including being charged for Photo Ops that they didn’t get and poorly shot photos.
Finally, there’s the issue of leadership for this convention. In the previous section I outlined an issue with the heads of Clexacon running multiple organizations connected to Clexacon, which appears to be fairly well known on the internet. What might be less well known is that after last year’s Clexacon, those people pushed out one of the original organizers for the convention. This person questioned the concerning direction the convention was taking and not only were their concerns invalidated, they were given no choice but to walk away from staff and were asked to not return to the convention this year. (Note: slight edit made to previous sentence based on new information) After the removal of that person, the convention morphed into what was presented this year. As you might have noticed on Twitter, many of the Clexacon staff resigned from their positions through each of them sending a public statement tweet. Of my knowledge of the situation, this was due to the management issues concerning the heads of Clexacon, as well as problems with how their labor was used (or misused) by those heads. When multiple people exit their jobs within an organization, that signals an issue with how that organization is run. I hope people will look deeper into this issue than what I’ve outlined here.
I’m going to move on now to more “identity based” issues. I wanted to get all the money bullshit out of the way first because I have a lot of fucking Feelings about how people were continually marginalized at this convention and I didn’t want to run out of anger steam before talking about the money.
Concerns About Accessibility (I Have Them)
HOLY FUCKING SHIT, DO I HAVE CONCERNS. First, let’s review what occurred before Clexacon happened. Multiple people contacted Clexacon with issues attached to their unclear accessibility policy, with many getting poor responses or no responses at all from the staff. Eventually the outcry on Twitter prompted the staff to issue a new statement about accessibility, which was initially done so through an image on Twitter…which was not accessible to those with screen readers. They later reissued the statement through multiple tweets, but this would be foreshadowing of things to come. They stated they were talking to people well versed with ADA compliance knowledge, but it’s clear that either they didn’t do that at all, or they did and then chose to not follow them. This showed at the actual convention itself.
First was the issues with obtaining the program itself. They didn’t have any paper programs available this year, instead telling everyone to use the app. Well, that app was only accessible half the time because getting wifi was impossible, and cell service was horrible in the con space. Also, having the programs through the app only meant that they were assuming everyone had a cell phone and were able to use it throughout the entire con. I’ve been to conferences/conventions where they’ve had digital programs, but there’s always the option of getting a paper program if that works better for you. Not having those options got in the way of people being able to plan what events they were going to.
From just my experience at Clexacon, there was not enough accommodation made for attendees who were deaf or hard of hearing. There were multiple panels, including panels in the large room, that did not have an interpreter present. There were also clearly not enough interpreters available for the number of attendees who needed them. Moog ( @wayhaughtt ) talks more about this in their vlog, which I’ll link here. It is completely and totally unacceptable (not to mention illegal) for Clexacon to not have enough people available to assist attendees.
Along with not having enough interpreters, the space is just totally not accessible for anyone who has mobility issues. Small panel rooms are all the way at the back of the con space, making it hard for people who cannot walk long distances. Aisles were not wide enough for people with mobility devices to use. While there were some things in place to assist with having to stand in line, it was still difficult for many people who couldn’t stand for long periods of time. The elevator on the bottom floor near the Vendor Hall was out of the way enough that I didn’t notice it until Sunday. The Quiet Room shouldn’t have even been called that, as it was sandwiched between the Photo Ops and the Film Festival, making it impossible for people to achieve the quiet they were going there to find. And sure, you might say, “Well that’s not their fault, it’s the fault of the Tropicana”. But at the end of the day if you are really committed to making your event accessible to everyone, to create this “safe space” that you continually advertise, then you will make the effort to not only actually provide people with adequate accommodations at the very least, but also find a venue that will be accessible for your attendees.
The Unbearable Whiteness of Being (At Clexacon)
Okay, so, I’m really annoyed that I basically have to write the same thing I did last year. I was really, really hoping that white people wouldn’t fuck it up again and would show up, but apparently the small amount of faith I had in my fellow white fandom people was too much. It was very clear AGAIN this year that white fandom will only show up for shows with white characters. I did notice an increase in the amount of people who attended the One Day at a Time Panel, and that’s great! But there were so many other panels with queer folks of color that were either a quarter or half full. I was hoping more people would attend the Black Lightning panel now that they were an established show finished with their second season, but nope, it was maybe half full. The Vida panel had a good number for attendance, but it was in a smaller panel room, so I can’t really gauge it with the other large room panels, but that room was not full. The Queer People of Color Representation panel, a really great panel with an important discussion, was about a quarter full. WHITE FANDOM NEEDS TO BE HEARING THESE CONVERSATIONS. Us not showing up and not putting in literally the minimum amount of work is fucking ridiculous, and shows everyone else where we stand.
There also, again, was a noticeable difference in the length of autograph lines for white actresses verses actors and actresses of color. Jes Macallan’s line was wrapped around the autograph area. Even though this is their third Clexacon, Dominique Provost-Chalkley and Kat Barrell’s lines were long as well. Caity Lotz’s line was also pretty long. On the other hand, Nafessa Williams was sitting at her table with no line for a significant chunk of her autograph time, as was Chantal Thuy and Lesley-Ann Brandt. Just that visual alone makes it abundantly clear who white fandom is willing to give their time and money to. So many of us complain that there’s not enough LGBTQ representation, but then refuse to put in the work when the characters are people of color. Saltygaysianpowerhour on instagram has a great post about this, which I’ll link here. White fandom, if we’re not putting in the work, we cannot complain when we feel there’s not enough LGBTQ representation. We’re part of the problem.
Lastly, I noticed that the Clexacon space was extremely white. When this happened, we as white fandom should have been aware of that and been better allies for attendees of color. That did not happen. I’ve heard so many stories of attendees of color who felt othered or additionally marginalized by both attendees and con staff in a space that should have been just as much theirs as everyone else’s. This convention is not a “safe space” for queer people of color, and some very, very significant changes will have to be made for it to get even close to that.
I Can’t Fucking Believe I Have to Write About TERFs
Just like the fucking subtitle says, I CAN’T BELIEVE I HAVE TO WRITE ABOUT TERFS. The complete and utter failure to make this con a positive and safe space for trans folks is honestly stunning. Literally so many people I know got repeatedly misgendered at Clexacon, and so many people didn’t even care to find out what people’s pronouns were. Volunteers misgendered multiple people, which is a problem staff should have addressed at the very beginning. I heard many people say they encountered TERFs at the con and I don’t think I need to mention this, but like, if TERFs think your con is a safe space then that’s a huge problem. I honestly think there were more cishet men on main stage panels this year than trans folks. That’s a problem. This con should have had some way to signify your pronouns on your badge, whether that be a ribbon, button, or even a fucking sticker for people to fill in. I feel like if you’re running a convention that claims to include all LGBTQ people, then you need to do basic things like that. Otherwise change how you market the convention.
What Is it Good For? (Actually, a Few Things)
Okay, now that I’ve aired all my grievances (or at least the ones I can think of), I do want to talk about the good things this con can bring. This con does offer a space for people to create community. Sure, we can do this online with Tumblr or Twitter, but it’s not the same as seeing a living person in front of you. It’s not the same as talking to someone face to face and being excited about whatever media you love. It’s not the same as getting to hug your favorite people. And with all its faults, Clexacon does create a space for this to happen in real time. I know people who have met some of their closest friends at Clexacon. Hell, I met my current girlfriend at the first Clexacon. But that doesn’t erase that this community is currently toxic, and if we want to keep going we’re going to have to deal with those toxic parts or it’s all going to rot. Unfortunately I’m not going to be attending Clexacon in the future unless the current management is removed and significant changes are made. I’m lucky enough to have other places that create positive LGBTQ community like @tgifemslash. I’m not going to shame anyone for going to Clexacon next year, especially if that’s the only community you have. I just hope that in reading this very long post (and thanks if you’re still with me!) you reflect on what Clexacon is and how it can be better. We’re already marginalized by broader society, we don’t deserve further marginalization from our own “community”.

Today, my first time going to a fan convention at LA Comic Con! I cosplay Angelica Schuyler for today and I met Elijah Wood (11 yr old me is screaming rn)! He's the sweetest guy I've ever met. He loved my quick sketch of him as Frodo (my favorite LOTR character) I did the night before and autographed it! I told him that I adore his role of Frodo in LOTR trilogy and Wirt from Over the Garden Wall and told him that I didn't know it was him when it first aired. Never forget that his beautiful blue eyes stared my soul. When I was next for an photo op, my autistic joy to see him again and we did the heart thing hand. I will cherished the sketch with an autograph by him and photo op

Today is Michael J. Fox's 58th birthday.
It's difficult to put into words how much this man's work has positively impacted my life.
He caught my attention the first time I saw Back to the Future. And I knew when I couldn't get that movie out of my head after the credits rolled for the first time, that I wanted to see if I could put a Marty McFly costume together.
The craziest thing I could imagine in 2013, just starting out, was seeing a DeLorean.
The first convention I wore the costume to, I found one in the convention center parking garage. That was the very first of many instances since, where I had this bizarre stroke of dumb luck.
I walked away from the car in that parking garage crying since tears of joy and gratitude at the incredible opportunity.
I figured it got no better than that.
In 2014 it was announced for Wizard World Portland that a DeLorean TIME MACHINE would be there. I freaked.
Still a new kid to all this, and to Marty, I nervously walked through the Oregon Convention Center doors knowing I'd meet my first time machine today.
The moment I caught a peek at it as I was walking towards it, I panicked and turned away because I was SO NERVOUS. My friend was luckily with me, and I knew I was home the moment I heard an extremely kind voice exclaim, "MARTY!" at me. That was Terry. I was taken into the booth, and an extremely kind person in a lab coat told me about the car he built. That was Oliver. Both were so patient as I took everything in that I could. They had the passenger's seat visor flipped down, and on it was a personalized autograph from Michael. Sitting in the driver's seat of his car, Oliver in the passenger seat, I asked about Michael J. Fox.
Oliver told me: "He's smarter than you think he is, kinder than you think he is, and better than you think he is."
I was in awe.
This was my very first brush with Team Fox, The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research, and all I could think about was how I wished that I could help Oliver and Terry. I could use this costume I had just put together for good.
I had a new crazy dream: I wanted to volunteer for Team Fox with these two incredible human beings.
Then 2015 happened, and I was sent to the greatest BTTF event that ever happened: We're Going Back.
I had wished that Michael would be there, but I was FAR from disappointed by how incredible that event was. Honestly the best trip I have ever been on. And on that trip I made so many new incredible friends that still hold a special place in my heart to this day.
But through a mutual friend, Andrew, I got to know Oliver and Terry better. We road tripped from Oregon to LA in two DeLoreans to We're Going Back, and a most excellent friendship was formed over the inability to roast hot dogs on a stick over a campfire.
In 2016, they were announced to be at Wizard World Portland again. I was nervous, but took a chance and reached out to them, asking if they might want any help. They said yes, I was on Cloud 9, and I got my chance to live out that dream of volunteering with them.
The year wasn't over yet.
And in March of 2016, I made it out to Silicon Valley Comic Con.
I was there to meet Michael J. Fox. I was there to achieve the single craziest feat I could come up with.
I stood in line for his autograph session, nervous as all hell, and ridiculously grateful to my friends Joe, Steve, and Andrew for being there with me.
When my time came, bright blue eyes and a warm smile greeted me.
"Hi Michael, my name is Shannon."
"Hi Shannon." A smile.
"I just wanted to say thank you for being here and for inspiring me."
I had my friend Steven's DeLorean visor with me that he had me get signed. Because he noticed the others who signed it had done so with a little quote, he remarked:
"Hmm.. what should I say.
... This is heavy!"
My eyes wide as saucers, I walked back to my friends. My own signed model DeLorean clutched firmly in my hands.
A bit later for our photo session, I walked in and greeted him, "Hi Michael!". He replied, "Nice to see you again!".
I had done it. I had met my hero. He said my name. I had done everything I possibly could. It got absolutely no better than that.
... Until 2019.
When I saw that Michael was hoping back on the con circuit, there was no doubt in my mind that I needed to see him again.
So I made it happen. I stayed with Oliver and Terry, and was so incredibly honored to be volunteering for Michael's foundation during Parkinson's Awareness Month. Let alone at a convention he was a guest at!
I made peace with our meeting in 2016 being separate than what would happen here. I did not expect him to remember me, nor would I particularly have time to bring it up with how rushed they were in getting people through the lines.
I was still nervous as hell standing in line for the first time I'd see him at our photo op. When my time came I greeted him the same as I did in 2016: "Hi Michael!!!". I asked is I could put a hand on his shoulder, and he chose the pose for our photo: "Let's do one of these." And mimics the poster pose. Oh hell yes.
In 2016 I had wished I thought to tell him that I was also there volunteering at the Team Fox booth. I was so frazzled that I didn't!
That's what I would say this time.
When my time came for my autograph moment, I said: "Hi Michael! I just wanted to say it's an honor using this costume to volunteer for your Foundation."
He looks up at me after signing.
"I certainly appreciate that."
A smile.
And that was that. I was happy. But... his handler took a photo of a behind the scenes photo that couldn't be shared.
I couldn't shake that it happened, so I told Terry when I got back to the booth.
Turns out she knows who I described, and she walks me over there.
Michael is still THERE.
His line is gone but for some divine reason I will never know, he was still THERE.
So Terry and I talk to the handler and get the photo sorted out.
And Michael is just... THERE.
So I just LOOK at him. My eyes WIDE and probably looking psychotic.
His bright blue eyes meet mine, and he puts his hands on the table and stands up. We're level now.
He addresses me.
"Your jacket."
Eyes WIDE. "Wha...huh???!!!!!!!!!"
"Your jacket... your vest. Can I sign your vest?"
"???????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
I think Terry told me to take it off because all coherent thoughts had vacated my mind and all I was hearing was white noise because this wasn't happening.
The vest is laid out, and with Michael perched above it at some point my name is asked. And I'm pretty damn sure Terry has to say it because I've gone mute.
But I squeak out, "OH. OH... UHHH... Michael I'm so sorry but could you sign the inside??? I use this a lot for charity events."
Dear GOD Shannon. You asshole.
But it was a smart move.
With an elegant swoop of a sharpie, on the inside right-hand side he signs:
"Shannon,
Love
Michael J. Fox"
They say to never meet your heroes. But I got lucky. I can honestly tell you that Michael is just as Oliver described him to me back in 2014:
He's smarter than you think he is, kinder than you think he is, and better than you think he is.
Happy birthday Mr. Fox. You have enriched my life in ways you'll never know, and I'm more grateful for that than I could ever say.
Love,
Shannon

So I always post a recap, mostly for myself 🙂 (for later^^), but I hope you will enjoy as well! (Got a kiss from Will there and Hannibal didn’t kill me!  – Win win!!) 🙂
I arrived on Wednesday afternoon this time, planning on working on Ravage stuff that evening with Romina, but we ended up with Electra and room service instead, which was awesome. (Thank you soooo much for the little firefly man dear!!!)
Thursday was Ravage ToDos then and London – going by Fuller’s on the way
getting my daughter a Harry Potter „Hedwig“ (as requested^^)
and dinner at the Michelin-star „Aquavit“ (Skandinavian Restaurant – the Blood Pudding was DELICIOUS!)
and then Pinter’s Theatre, watching Martin Freeman’s performance.
(We tried to catch him at the Stage Door, but he came out after 2h(?) and we left after 1h in the snow, because you know, Mads and Richard wouldn’t go so well with pneumonia^^).
Friday I spent a LOT of time trying to catch all the Fannibals I saw, say hi and invite them to sign „my Mads“ – bought back then for the German Comic Con 2016 (when he canceled) this has now been utterly filled up with Fannibal love from all over the place! (And Evalie brought her Will! It’s the same one from the meme photo you might have seen btw^^)
(And I had him sign it, too :))) Picked up lots of beautiful things from the con, but they’re mostly in the big package still and on their way home.
Opening ceremony had standing ovations, driving home the fact, that these people were actually there!
  Truly amazing.
Meet and greet was fun but short, they only did a few minutes each.
Still enough time to realize a few interesting things about them, Scott being really aware of what we put on the table for example and interested in Radiance (looking through it ) and trying the Hannigram smarties that @TheCakeIsPeople brought, Aaron loving that people liked the Go-Getters and his other projects so much, Jeremy very unsure at that point still (Twitter feed later showed he always said the same things^^) but very deep and elaborate answers already, Richard interested in where everybody was from and commenting when he knew the place, Mads on beer 4 (afaik) at our table and a bit brisk, recognizing fans he met before, talking swedish with the Fannibals there and refusing to put on the bite mask we had laid out (as decoration) on sight^^^^. Darn. 😛
On Saturday I had 5 (!) photo ops, group with Romina, Aaron & Scott, 2 Mads and a Mads and Richard one. I took the cardboard to the photo op with Mads and we had to redo the photo 4 times, because of the glare :))) (Starfury put them all up for digital download, wohooo) and he was amazed by all the signatures on it!! Also – really life size 😛
The other was with something for the Kickstarter, I can’t show you yet^^.
Richard didn’t really pose that day, he was very stiff, hands in his pockets, standing to the side – we wondered if he maybe had a bad con experience before. (That was different day 2, yeah, good job Fannibals!!). Unfortunately you cannot see the “I’m fine” on my shirt, that’s what I was pointing at^^
Panels from noon, with Aaron and Scott being their usual hilarious selfs, Mads kind and witty (even though some of the questions were really… ugh. Disgraceful – someone asked him if he got „excited“ in the sex scenes for Polar(!) and someone else told him he didn’t have a fashion sense (like what the actual fuck?)).
Richard had an introduction interview with Sean on the first day, with only a few audience questions. Again, I think he was a bit … IDK, careful. On Sunday he did an open panel and was way more relaxed there as well! And he is SO WITTY and intelligent! And much more good looking in person than on screen somehow. Like really. A bit scary. :))
Mads is very nice, smelling lightly of cigarettes (well, duh^^), it was funny to watch/experience the poses he switches through for photos^^. Very easy to ask and stand next to. My hands were shaking nonetheless^^.
Aaron and Scott gave me one of the best hugs ever, I already had my pose with them from last time and told them so, just wanting a hug 🙂
Signing was fun, Mads and Richard, with Mads signing my three books (not showing you Ravage yet!), and I showed him the scene with the illustration of „Will pushing Hannibal in a wheelchair, at Bedelia’s dinner“ – because he had said in his panel that Will would have really enjoyed having the upper hand in S4, pushing Hannibal around in a wheelchair(!!). AND I FUCKING WROTE THAT. (Not actually in „A blackish red hue“ (at least the Ao3 version! (The book version has that scene)) but the image has created for a scene EXACTLY of that (and then adapted into the book, with permission of the artist(!)). I just…. I WANT TO SEE THAT, DAMMIT!! He said „Very good call“ :))) And then personalized it to me <33
Also, at that point he knew about the cardboard cutout being from the GCC, so they must’ve talked about it backstage! And I asked him to sign it all over his own face which he did, grinning.
And he’s finally on the LA Times ad, completing it.
AND on the sword sheath, checking all the signatures and commenting on them. He wanted to know where it was from and I explained and he was amazed. (Since he and Richard signed so small (in comparison to Eddie Izzard^^), I was able to put Scott, Aaron and Jeremy on it as well – you can’t see Scott here because he didn’t press that hard, his signature is above Aaron’s).
Oh, and Mads didn’t know that Hannibal got an Emmy nom that year we put up the ad in the LA Times – he was surprised and asked me which ones and of COURSE I’d had forgotten. Hope his team relays him the info via the tag on Twitter^^.
Richard just grinned a bit when I told him that the book is my S4-8 and that it starts at the Motel. He had an interesting expression on his face, I can’t really describe it, maybe a „would’ve sported dimples if he actually had them“, you know. Amusement-tinged. Also very interested in the signatures on the sword sheath!
Life goals. :)))
I had dinner in the bar late afternoon (the London Pride ale is very good imho^^), and then the cosplay contest was on and Noah won, yay, as flaming Chilton!!! They put up the incredible Wendigo-Cake there, from KitchenConjurer – it was cut up the next day, because Mads wasn’t at the cosplay contest.
Don’t remember what I did after the cosplay, lol. Ahem. 🙂 I think I went to my room because I was exhausted. ^^ All the nerves shot from the photo shoots and signings^^.
Next morning were more photos – another with Richard (and a little red dragon by PersephoneSiren!!!!!), who was so much more relaxed that day, and one with Jeremy – who was a bit bewildered by my ask to give me Bunny Ears – and THEN went and did the same expression Hugh Dancy and Joe Anderson did!!!!!! ROFL. Amazing!
Incredible panels followed – I would invite everyone who hasn’t to read through the Twitter transcript tweets – Aaron and Scott gave Mads a run for his money – aka he never stood a chance :))))
And then they went and cut the ear and nose/chin off the Wendigo cake and Scott kissed Aaron with its lips and you should have seen Mads’ face :))))) Hilarious! ❤
Jeremy is a panel revelation(!), I would pay REAL money to have him, Richard and Hugh on one stage, talking. These three must be so extraordinary together. (They already are separately, just saying… that would be like an intellectual orgasm).
Had to queue early and so I went and got my autos from Aaron and Scott and Jeremy then, who were soooo sweet and appreciative. And Aaron smiled when he saw the Go-Getters DVD, gave the DVD inside a little pet and signed it to me with a very sweet personalization.
Can’t wait for his new film btw, because the Go-Getters is hilarious and you should definitely watch it!!!!!
Another bar visit for food and ale and then the closing ceremony. Already.
It’s been almost 5 days and yet the time flew.
I cried.
And then I went to my room and packed up everything, creating an impromptu bubblewrap-suitcase. Went through fine, fortunately.
It’s been incredible and I will gladly come back no matter the guests (though these were incredible of course!), who knows maybe I can go to FFT3 if/when it happens as well, and I hope I manage some meat-ups. I met more people than I can remember, spent some very precious times in deep discussions on not so easy subjects, which I love and which is so, so, SO important.
If you’re reading this – thank you for doing so!
And if I met you there – thank you for making my weekend. Because the guests is one thing, but meeting you guys…. that is incredible.
I hope you enjoyed this 🙂
Feel free to ask if you have questions!
Personal RDC5 recap So I always post a recap, mostly for myself 🙂 (for later^^), but I hope you will enjoy as well!

My trip to the happiest place on earth: Heroes and Villains Fan Fest
This is going to be really long I am sorry in advance, but I feel like so many celebrities have been letting us down lately so here are great stories about actors we should stan.
I bolded every actors name so if you are interested in just that particular actor and how they behave with fans you can jump there!
Some things to know about this convention:
It was HVFF Chicago and Walker Stalker Con Chicago, all rolled into one. So most of the focus was on The Walking Dead cast, like Norman Reedus and Jeffrey Dean Morgan.
I was pretty much only there for the cast of The Gifted and The Defenders. It got WILD on the Walking Dead side.
I also went to everything Riverdale because my friend that went with me loves that show.
Day 1 actors: Emma Dumont, Sean Teale, Blair Redford, Hayley Lovitt, Élodie Yung
Day 2 actors: Emma Dumont, Sean Teale, Blair Redford, Hayley Lovitt, Élodie Yung, Mike Colter, Lili Reinhart, Madelaine Petsch.
DAY 1
A lot of you know that Lorna Dane aka Polaris is my all time favorite superhero. So knowing that Emma Dumont was going to be there was v overwhelming. But I brought her some of her fave snacks and a necklace and raced over to her table. There were probably 8-10 people in front of me but the second I walked up she screamed and pointed at me (in full Lorna costume) and goes “YAS QUEEN ITS LORNA” and I got really really really excited about what was coming. She was also bothering Sean and kept sending him her own headshot.
She chatted with all of her fans and as I was getting closer she kept turning to me and chatting with me along with the others in line. When it was finally my turn she kept going on and on about how excited she was to see another Lorna (as she was in full costume) and was SO excited. We chatted for about 10 minutes about Polaris and why we both loved her so much and then she told me HELLA SEASON 2 SPOILERS THAT I PINKY PROMISED TO NEVER TELL SO I AM SORRY BUT WILL NOT SAY A WORD and then I gave her the present and she read the card first and started to cry she was so excited. She screamed when she opened all of her snacks. And then I gave her the necklace and she cried because she loved it so much which honestly amazed me. I was wearing mine too and so she took lots of pics of us in our necklaces. It was of Polaris, the north star, and she said it would always guide her.
Then we took probably 100 pictures on both of our phones and they are all incredible. She kept hugging me and after about 20 minutes of holding up the line I left and I sat and cried for a good minute because wow she was the most kind person in the world.
When I saw her later in the day for our photo ops she told the photographer that she was making a weird face so she wanted a second photo with me and then when she hugged me goodbye she told me to pick my fave which is honestly such a queen move.
At the end of the day she posted a photo of the two of us captioned “I found Polaris” on her insta story and I cried.
Once I got my shit together I went to Sean Teale, who plays Marcos. BOY OH BOY THIS MAN IS HANDSOME. He was so smooth and that is the only way I can describe him. While he was chatting with another fan I talked to his brother who was so funny and incredible. More about his brother later. So I greet Sean and he smiles and hugs me and loves that I am dressed as Lorna and jokes that if Emma sees me she’ll lose it so just be ready and I told him I was with her for 20ish minutes and he said yup that’s about right. So we chat and talk about season 2 and he kept ragging on his costars (mostly Blair). Then he stopped me mid-sentence and was like wow you have like “mutant colored eyes”. And I about fainted and he was like “omg I’m sorry I mean that as a compliment, it’s like you’re one of us” and I had to keep reassuring him that it was the best compliment he could have given me. Then we took our pic and he hugged me and he smells rly good and he kissed the top of my head and sent me on my merry way.
Next was Blair Redford. I thought I was ready to meet one of the loves of my life. I was wrong. I have had the BIGGEST crush on him for forever. So walking up to his table was so intimidating. But this giant teddy bear was so warm and welcoming the nerves went away so fast. He told me I looked great as Lorna and again we chatted about The Gifted duh and we talked about his broken foot (which everyone had a different story for what happened. I think I am the only fan that knows the truth) and how he wants to be a writer for the show at some point. And then he stood up to take a pic (which he did not do for anyone else) and had me check it to make sure that I was happy with it before hugging me and I swear in that moment my crops were watered and my skin was cleared.
Then I met Hayley Lovitt who plays Sage on The Gifted and The Wasp in Ant-Man. She kept telling me how nervous she was because it was her first con and didn’t really know how to act around fans. There weren’t too many people at her table and she was in the mood to talk so we stayed and had a grand time with her. We talked about loving milkshakes and the show and how hot Blair is and it was just a really positive experience.
As we went to leave I saw that Élodie Yung’s line was empty which had not happened all day, so I seized the moment and ran in real quick. I got my money out to buy an autograph and she stopped her manager and was like no no I’ll just do it. So that was a queen move. And then we talked about Elektra and how she thinks they could bring her back again because hey why not. Her French accent is literally so mindblowing-ly beautiful I cannot get over it. I was just in awe of her the entire time we were talking. Then we got on the subject of how hot it was in the convention and I joked that I am really prone to fainting (which I am whoops) and she was like “No we can’t have that” so she had me sit with her and had her handler get me some water. So I sat with her and had my water and that is how my day one ended. Pretty wild.
Day 2
I am going to tell this day in chronological order bc it is important.
I went back to Emma Dumont because of course I did and she literally yelled “GRACE OMG YOU’RE BACK HOW ARE YOU” while she was talking to other fans, and then explained to everyone in line that I dressed as Lorna and that we were best friends. So as I am waiting I am talking to her manager and Sean’s brother, who happens to be his manager. They were just really chill guys and you guys that is the BEST way to get perks when you are at these things. MAKE FRIENDS WITH MANAGERS. So it gets back to me and Emma is her regular chatty self. I told her how much I appreciated her posting the pic and that I am sad because she had all the best pics of us on her phone and she goes “Oh girl let me send them to you what’s your number?” and I told her and boom- my phone buzzes. Pics from an unknown number with an LA area code. Emma texted me off her own damn phone and now I have her number and I am waiting for the perfect moment to text her. I will keep you posted on that. We chat. She’s great. She tells me that I have to come back before the end of the day to say goodbye.
I catch Sean Teale’s brother/manager and ask if it is cool if I just go up and say hi to Sean again without getting an autograph and he was like yeah of course. So I head back up and he goes “My favorite mutant eyes! How are you love?” and then KISSES MY CHEEK AND HUGS ME AND I LOST IT. I mean I was not ok at all. He asked me about my day and everything I did yesterday and he was just so genuine and I felt like he really cared about everything that I was saying. It was magical.
Then I went to a panel with Élodie Yung and Mike Colter, aka Elektra and Luke Cage. We got to line up to ask questions and some how by some miracle I was first in line. Mike was on facetime with his daughter because she liked to see all of her dad’s fans and it was the cutest thing I have ever seen. When they sent the questions over to the line Mike said “is the first question coming from Daisy Johnson?” and I wanted to die I was so excited. I got to ask a question and they gave really great answers. I’ll post the video on my insta! They talked about a lot of really great Defenders stuff and it was really awesome.
Then we went to Lili Reinhart and Madelaine Petsch’s booths. I am going to start this by telling everyone I have not seen one minute of Riverdale. My friend that was with me loves the show so I went with her. They seemed pretty nice, but they did not stand for photos and everything felt very rushed. I did really like one of Madelaine’s people, who recognized that I was Daisy and talked to me about his time working at Marvel Comics. That was fun. Nothing negative to say about the girls but everything felt very strict and not as fun. Could be management, could be the fact that everything is a gentle amount of chaos. Who knows.
It was about time for us to leave so it was time to say one last goodbye to my friends from The Gifted. When we hopped back into Emma Dumont’s mile-long line, Sean Teale’s brother/manager saw us and gave me a look, so I went to talk to him while my friend held my spot in line. I told him that I had a comic I wanted Emma to sign and that we had to leave soon because we had about 5 hours of driving to do to get home. We chatted for about 10 minutes, then I rejoined my friend in line. We waited for about 20 minutes and only about 5 people had made it through. There was no way we were going to be able to see Emma again, so we cut our loses and jumped over to Sean’s line, which had almost no one in it. His brother/manager asked what I was doing and I told him I couldn’t wait but he was like “but! you wanted that signed!!” And I was like yeah I just can’t wait and I am really bummed.
So he goes “well here I’ll get it for you”. He walks over to Emma, who is about 5 feet away, stops her convo with a fan and goes “Hey can you sign this real quick for me?” and she kinda gave him a look because why does he need something signed? And then he pointed at me and she goes “OMG GRRRRACEEEEE ARE YOU LEAVING??” signs it, comes over and gives me a hug, tells me to be safe, and to keep in touch. I will be eternally grateful to this man. I gave him a hug and told him he is the best person on the planet because it is true.
All this time I am in Sean’s line so it is my turn and we chat some and I showed him what I had Emma sign and he tells us to be safe, gives me a big hug and another head kiss and it was everything.
We pop by Hayley’s table and give her a quick “hey” and a hug and she told us that she had just seen our posts on twitter about meeting her day one. She is the sweetest.
No one is in Blair’s line so I ask if it is okay to say goodbye. It is at this point that Sean’s brother and Emma’s manager come over to talk to Blair’s manager and she literally could not care less because she knows that I am in love with him so it is fine. I talked to Blair for about 25 minutes about script ideas and plot lines before I literally have to leave the convention so I give him a hug and it’s out the doors I go.
IF YOU MANAGED TO READ ALL THAT WOW AND GOOD ON YOU BECAUSE THAT WAS SO MUCH. I HAD THE BEST TIME AND I HAVE SOME PHOTOS COMING SOON!
