THE FOOL'S JOURNEY. || a satosugu poem. text below. feel free to reblog :)

CONCEPT: the sun sets and the sky looks like raspberries. we reach up and take one from a bush, bursting and juicy. the clouds touch our fingers shyly and we laugh and laugh until our stomachs hurt in the best way.

CONCEPT: we are becoming dull with age. we are still alive. i tell you about the raspberries and you tell me we are too old to believe in magic. i ask, is it the growing up that leaves us empty? you stay silent. the next morning there is a note on the counter. fear, it says. fear. i wonder how much courage it took to write it down.

CONCEPT: a home in which fear is an invite only guest. and we do not send an invitation. do not even throw a party.

CONCEPT: the day ends and you barge into our dorm room. yell and yell. grab my arm. chase me out into the night. you say, look at the sky. it is all cranberry and red. look, see how the wind grows strawberries? see the fields? how they breathe on indefinitely? and, lord, the look on your face. it is breathtaking. your mouth twisting up in joy.

CONCEPT: we eat from the vine. the stars wink their little eyes at us. the moon listens as we weave her a story. nothing stills until dawn.

CONCEPT: we stay here forever. fear does not reach us in this place. it is only our front yard but it is wild. it is brim filled with dreams. it is an accomplishment. to grow and still believe. it is magic. it is ours. in the best way, it is ours.

okay i've had this song on repeat for like the last two hours because i can't stop thinking about how well it fits Signalis..

Since this is a rlly good pun I shall answer

They put me in the torture labrynth for all eternity, but recently I escaped and avoided all the mouse traps outside AND the snipers. So hopefully we are back on track after this moon and I can start posting regularly again. At least before the hitmen and scientists isolate my location again and put me back in containment.

Be excited though, a very special boy is coming to Sproutclan!

Berry: What makes them happier than perhaps it should? Do others know about it? [ for kakuzu ]

Patchouli: What sort of outdoor activities do they enjoy most? Do they get the chance to do that activity often? [ for kisame ]

Vanilla: What is a food or scent that carries a lot of nostalgia for them? How do they feel if they smell it now? [ for itachi ]

Kakuzu enjoys nature and sometimes, if a mission does not go well and they are delayed in a particularly scenic area, he keeps up the pretense of anger but is much calmer and is taking in the landscape on the sly. It's old habit to obscure his interests from whoever he works with, if he can, because he does not want to be "overly familiar" with them. Also Hidan's whining and/or groveling is something he enjoys, to a certain degree...

Kisame loves water activities to no surprise, he gets to swim on his own whenever they are in Ame's base (there is a large pool/room for his water jutsu practice), but that's pretty lonely and not in the wild as he is meant to be. Unfortunately Itachi isn't great at swimming, so he doesn't get to drag him into hopping into waterholes along their journeys often. He also misses kayaking.

Itachi finds the scent of a particular blend of incense to be nostalgic, for it reminds him of the Uchiha shrines. It makes him quieter (than he already is), and more prone to respectful behaviour. A particular mix of a certain wood and oils will remind him of the training room Fugaku worked him in, and put him in an easier to manage mood. A certain combination of spices will remind him of the medicinal shops of Konoha, or of the food there, and make him quiet and wistful as well. There are a lot of scents that make him nostalgic but luckily they tend to be not too commonly found, and Itachi's general demeanour naturally obscures the reactions they evoke.

I too headcanon that my Lavellan gets (unintentionally) pregnant just before the breakup, has a child between DAI and Trespasser and well... I imagine she would do her best to keep the child secret from everyone, but I am not sure how feasible that would truly be :) She certainly does not tell Solas in Trespasser.

oooooh yes another one! i definitely think there's some feasibility, but it depends - in part i think it depends how much the child looks like her, because there's almost definitely families running around Skyhold by the time of trespasser, between the Inquisition's soldiers and other staff. so it's entirely possible that if the relationship is never acknowledged publicly and they don't look too similar, they could just be treated as another random elf kid....

BUT secrets like that are never completely secrets. because there's the core companions, who would know. the advisors, who know. the midwife who delivered the baby. and rumors spread, and we know the Inquisition wasn't as secure as Leliana believed it to be...so there's definitely room to go multiple ways here.

imagine the angst of Solas finding out she had his child from one of his spies and waiting during trespasser to see if she'll mention it to him and getting to be torn up when she doesn't, wondering if it means she does not want him as part of his child's life........

Thr problem with me is that my goal in life seems to be becoming a jack-of-all-trades and, much like matter is both a wave and particles, I manage to be both over, and under-qualified for most jobs.
