Wildflowers flourishing along a tranquil Ozarkian trail. It was a blessing to enjoy this beautiful place where the sun kissed spots of the blue forest floor and only the sound of bird songs and soft wind whispered through the trees. The blue-eyed mary (Collinsia verna) and virginia bluebells (Mertensia virginica) thriving on the forest floor are both native spring ephemerals found throughout the central and eastern parts of North America.

I have officially met The Bestest Boy. Everyday he drives to and from his work as a carriage horse in the back of a pickup. He has a half-brown-half-blue eye too, which is super unique! Curly works out of the very small tourist town of Eminence, MO, where his owner also runs a shop where you can get various odds and ends. I was super impressed by how well trained he is, and he's SIX! Super enthusiastic about his job too, he was more than happy to race a few cars.
