The boys’ weapons. I took a lot of creative liberties with some of them, and it’s important to note that Minish’s sword, Time’s sword, and Windy’s sword are not the Picori sword, Biggoron sword, and the phantom sword. But they are inspired by them and very similar! (Minish and Windy in particular had their swords purposefully made similar so.)
Also none of this is size accurate I wasn’t focused on the size 💀💀
#I admittedly got lazy in the end and traced the master sword and the knight’s sword lol#the master sword is a PAIN TO DRAW#I hate it#so yeah I traced it 💀#didn’t have the energy for Warriors’s sword either so#rip#the others I actually freehanded it tho#well. I did attempt to trace the magic sword but it didn’t turn out well#frick that sword man#I like the phantom sword. I added some fun stuff to it#like the ciela symbol on the top#also flail arms!#wish me luck#legend of zelda au#zelda au#legend of zelda#lbl chain#link between links

fluffy fireflight is finally done!!!! it was really fun to work on a new sewing project, its been a couple years since i did much besides mending. and even tho this fabric was a huge pain to worth with it was totally worth the trouble. hes soooo fluffy. fluffy flighty
based him on the seeker pattern by @milk-sharks, but a bit smaller and with some small alterations (wing shape, tail fins, added a nosecone, probably some other things i forgot). im thinking abt maybe taking it even smaller and making keychain-size versions of the other aerialbots? aside from silverbolt. i dont think a concorde would be very compatible here lol
#transformers#maccadam#aerialbots#fireflight#tho i have enough leftover fabric that i could def make the other limbbots in the same size#but i want a tiny handheld slingshot. stress ball-sized.#aaaanyways i made the slight mistake of just freehand cutting out the pieces since i was too lazy to trace out the pattern but!#i think only the cockpit really suffered from that. im actually kinda surprised the fuselage isnt wonkier tbh#robins doodles#(not a doodle but thats my art tag So)#i mean honestly a concorde wouldnt be that hard to make. and the delta wings would be so flappy... hm....

Been busy enough to justify a full round up for this WIP Wednesday. The TL;DR being that I'm back to being fully lace brained.
Blanket 10 is NEARLY finished. I've started attaching the last row and just need to finish out this row and then do a border (and give him a good wash, I've owned some of this yarn for years and it smells a little dusty). The nights are starting to get really cold here so I'll be happy to have it done, I just gotta force myself to work on it.
Doily 14 (Yarn | Pattern) needs to go on a longer needle but other than that is very fun and cute. I've decided to put it down for a bit to work on the next two projects but I expect when they get boring I'll go back to this. This pattern is surprisingly simple for a Neibling as long as you're prepared for the long pattern rows. Absolutely going to have to break out the washi tape to mark off my rows for the second chart, but the first one has been very easy lace knitting.
Unnamed project aka me fucking around to see if I can freehand this sweater design. I had started with a two row lace ("Honeycomb lace" from A Second Treasury of Knitting Patterns by Barbara G Walker) but honestly didn't find it fun to knit. So I transitioned to a favourite of mine (ssk, k2tog, yo twice). It's going a lot faster now tho it looks a little weird. I'm going to knit to the underarm and if it fits, it stays. If it's too small I'll rip all the way back and redo the shaping in this lace pattern instead with longer shoulder saddles. It's unfortunate that I didn't like knitting the honeycomb lace, I really like how it looks, I'll have to try swatching it in different yarns to see if the problem is just that this yarn has zero stretch (100% cotton).
I have decided I will put short sleeves on this tho. I had planned to just add ribbing for the arms but I saw a drop shoulder vest in a similar style and did Not like it, so this just saves me from having to rip back. I also think I'm going to have to leave this cropped, I'm not a big crop top person but with this yarn being cotton, having a full length body along with the sleeves is going to have the neckline very stretched. There may be no helping it regardless but there's no harm in trying. I imagine if this is does become something I wear it'll either be in the dead of summer or layered over a button up/some sort of top anyway, so a crop wouldn't be too uncomfortable.
Last but certainly not least is Shawl 14 (Pattern | Yarn). My precious Evenstar is coming along very well, I'm actually on the second to last pattern row before the set up for the border. I know the border is going to be a slog but I'm excited for it regardless, he's huge even all compressed on the needles. My self imposed deadline for him is April, but the border is only 56 repeats. If I can do one every other day I should be right on time, which sounds do-able even tho I know I'll get bored by the halfway point.
I need to keep an eye out for patterns for this yarn, I have a whole second cone plus what'll be left after I finish this shawl. These cones staring at me will probably be the push I need to settle on an Orenburg shawl pattern. (Or possibly a large Neibling, or one of MMario's patterns.)
#knitting#knitblr#lace rot#wip#wip wednesday#project: blanket 10#project: shawl 14#project: doily 14#i haven't really touched shawl 15 so i didn't feel it necessary to include him (also it took me an hour to write up this much anyway)#i'm procrastinating from working on blanket 10 lmao it just makes me so eepy. heavy and warm blanket = nap time.#I gotta find something interesting to listen to while crochet it. I watched Astroid City with my dad and tried to work on it#but got so distracted by the visuals I made like 1 dc every other minute.#also my new cellphone camera is fucking awesome in comparison to my old one holy shit#it's like i just put my glasses on except they're not scratched up for once

Hey, new follower here! (I'm actually in the wrong account so please don't mind me being anonymous!) I really love your art and I mainly wanted to say that your art and style is amazing and beautiful! Secondarily, do you have any tutorials or tips on drawing bodies, hands and I noticed you do blood? I understand if you'd rather not answer that; if so just only the first half! Love your art! Thanks for existing (if that makes sense)❤️
wah... first i just wanna say tysm!!! youre so sweet 😭
i unfortunately dont have any tutorials or anything made already and i dont really want to make any as of right now because i feel like i have a long way to go in terms of learning how to properly draw a lot of things. since i don't know what im doing id feel really lousy putting out a tutorial when i dont even have a lot of the basics down yet...
im gonna blab under the cut about tips (not really tips on drawing bodies themselves as a guideline, but what has helped me practice and thus allowed me to get better at drawing bodies in my own art), so u dont have to read all that if it doesnt interest u! but regardless thank u again for being so sweet!!! sorry i couldnt give u what u wanted.. maybe one day... 😭
again this is just how i practice, but its GENUINELY helped me get so much better.
all i can say as far as tips is to definitely practice with references as much as u can, it really will help u improve. i know people often dont like that advice too much but its really true... every time i use references to practice for a bit i can tell it helps me, and looking back at older art i know its true. i dont often use guidelines (i really need to...), or at least not in the sense that i do in most of the guides i see so i feel like i cant give much else in terms of advice tho, other than that.
anyway, its one thing to just use a reference, but really trying to get it down and learn it (learn the body, anatomy, how to draw it all) so u carry that knowledge on is sorta different, for me
what has helped me to really learn is this method of practice where i
draw a reference photo based off what i see
trace the photo
overlay both my trace and the first drawing i made
go back and choose key points on the photo/trace where i was very off and mark them as a little dot/line and then try to fix the original sketch with those dots/lines to match the photo (look below to understand what i mean LOL sorry)
try and draw it again from scratch based on what i see visually
and for number 4, what i mean is this:
lets say the 2nd is my visual (rough) drawing based off of the original
overlaying my original sketch on the reference i can see where a lot of points are off!
ill make note of a few of the areas that were very off and mark them, then get rid of the reference underneath. ill still look at it as a guide on the side, but overall try to just change the original sketch to match it instead of directly tracing!
i feel like this may not have been exactly what u mean as far as tips for drawing bodies, but ive found that in order to grasp them better in a way that helps u draw them on ur own, doing studies like this really helps! for me, at least, it allows me to better store things in my memory--because looking at the image and practicing doesnt feel like it really CEMENTS any knowledge, but seeing where i went wrong and then working backwards to try and alter it shows me where im lacking in skill, and helps me use that information later!
doing this allows me to understand how bodies take up space. it has helped me to see the body as more of a tangible thing while i draw freehand, and do it more accurately as well, instead of it feeling like its. a limp noodle i cant grasp LOL
i will say, tho, that for hands especially i almost always use my hands as a reference for what i want. like i dont even have a guide for that in terms of what i do to draw them out or guidelines i follow, i just straight up draw them based off what i see or imagine, i dont really do those step by step guidelines...
im sorry again i couldnt rly give u what u wanted, i just dont think im at that level where i can truly give any advice since im not good enough (yet ! we hope) for a genuine tutorial. if u mean something as far as like... body shapes and stuff im still not rly there yet either. i hope this helps even a tiny bit tho, if u read this far!!!
#thank u anon.. sorry again#even for blood i literally have to redraw it 50 times and hope for the best so i cant even rly give adequate advice there#thank u tho ur so sweet....#asks#AND DONT worry abt being anonymous i dont mind !!!#sorry about all the blabbering thats why i put it under the cut#also bc i dont think its what u asked for so. u absolutely dont need to read that#genuinely doing that tho#and even using that same method of practice but applying it to say. anime screenshots. has helped me a lot#it shows u how other artists think and conceptualize things which u can use to open ur own mind and how to approach things in ur art#references are the key to everything...............

uhh hi. i started drawing again recently and ive been trying to make good art of characters specifically, but i feel like it's... cheating? if i use photographic reference and trace it. ok a lot of people say it's not,but i just wanted to ask your personal open here, bc hey, you draw cool stuff, and your anatomy in drawings is very good. so yeah, should i try to not trace? or maybe only post things i didn't trace? and do you have like... any tips, maybe. a word of wisdom or two. (either way, thanks for reading, love your works)
hello!! thank you so much for liking my art, i appreciate it a lot!!❤️
oh boy i know the topic of tracing is very touchy in the art community and when i first started making art i was too stuck up on the whole cheating thing you mentioned so i completely discarded it. these last couple years though i have to admit that i warmed up to this method and i have to say it really really helps!
tracing poses has actually helped me a lot to get more familiar with anatomy and build muscle memory with how things should be so i 100% suggest it!! of course, practicing with just looking at the references on the side is also absolutely great but you'll notice yourself that your hand will work with much more comfort once you've spent a good chunk of time studying poses and anatomy, tracing, and just doing freehand sketches to make yourself feel more familiar with everything!
and as for the posting part, it's completely fine to post whatever you create as long as it's not traced art of other artists of course!
it all comes down to one key-word that everyone is sick of hearing tho and that's to *practice*!!! it won't go to waste i guarantee it!!
good luck with everything you do anon, i hope this will help you <3

i haven't watched this video for context but it's absolutely 100% okay to trace things, art or otherwise, to practice and learn something. obviously, don't trace someone's entire work, do not claim other people's art as your own, always give credit if you post something online, do not monetize traced things bc then it looks scummy but if there's an element you're struggling to freehand draw, feel free to trace it to figure out the anatomy till you learn it better. don't RELY on tracing (at least OTHER PEOPLE'S art) to be your constant crutch, actually take the time to learn things or even take your own ref pics of yourself or others etc and trace from that rather than using other people's works all the time but TRACING. IS. OKAY.
please be a respectable and ethical artist. don't trace someone's stuff entirely to pass off as your own. also know that some people might also have bad anatomy in their drawings and you should use real photography (if you can find any in this day and age of AI bullshit overload) to better learn anatomy but please don't feel ashamed for tracing things you don't know yet.
edit: okay so they kinda have the same sentiment, tho i think they lean more on the side of draw from ref or traces your own photography or 3d models w/e than using it as a stepping stone tool which is fine and valid. it was more just.. don't trace to gain clout, views, money etc etc which is also very valid bc twitter and tiktok have become rampant with art thieves. (literally the worst timeline for artists rn) but me being someone who has struggled to practice and gain better skill or understand at art, i say use whatever tools help your brain to understand the fundamentals better. i think it's important to learn like ACTUAL anatomy etc but if you don't get something in the moment, i think it's okay to use refs, tools, tracing w/e or even if you want to do something like. paint a pic to hang on your wall bc u thought it looked pretty and u just want to relax by painting something that only you are gonna see, i think tracing is fine in that way. but please, don't be a shitty person and artist and trace people's stuff one for one or heavily or even reference heavily someone's art or style and try to pass it off as your own ESPECIALLY for money. people will notice, people will talk about it and it will put a negative blemish on your reputation. you might think no one will notice but we live in the age of people WILL investigate what past posts you make and figure out how the legit artist is and it's just better to be your own artist and try to figure out how to create your own works as best you can. (also as i said, this artist/youtuber also said, if you rely on tracing too much, especially tracing people's art, you will just learn their mistakes and especially now with ai bullshit everywhere, if you trace from something you THINK is human made art but is ai grossness... there's a LOT of mistakes in ai art so. you won't be learning good skills that way. pls use a variety of sources and refs and study material.)
#gonna watch the video for context so maybe they have positive things to say about tracing#but i'm tired of these 'hot takes' or w/e about/in the artist community from privileged artists#and that's less directed at this person and more towards someone else i followed for a second till they kept saying#DON'T DO THIS TO MONETIZE YOUR ART when it was the most common things and accessible ways for beginner commissioner artists#to gain any footing in the art comm world and they were an established artist/youtuber telling people that method was bad cos they obviousl#have other options to keep working. it's very privileged to assume everyone can up and change work methods like they could#much like big streamers/youtubers lose touch with their audience and their smaller situational circumstances#i think well established artists lose touch with how much struggling it is starting out and it's just meh to see them talk down on smaller#creators

Jamuary 26: Lapse
youtube
Today's mission (well, this one was done in bits across two days) was to route other stuff through the Minilogue filter.
First, I put the guitar through it -- actually through the amp first -- and I had only read like 19 explanations of how to route audio through the Minilogue, so the sequence I was using had separate notes, but it all worked out pretty neatly.
Then after reading 17 more Reddit threads, watching a few YouTube videos, wait not that one, yes that one, oh it's that one again that wasn't helpful and mentions knobs that don't exist, oh yeah THAT ONE... right, after all that, I achieved the thing I was trying to do all along, which was to route the audio from a MIDI synth I had recorded in Ableton to the Minilogue filter.
It worked, I tweaked knobs, and had control over the filter track in Ableton.
Other stuff:
The glockenspiel from the Spitfire Labs BBC Orchestra because I still have Pram in my head.
A freehand randomish percussion track with an industrial thing happening (no factory video this time tho)
Another clean guitar track with fun overzealous ping-pong delay from Ableton
Time lapse public domain videos from pexels.com

ok so like, full disclosure, it’s not the majority of people who do this.
but it’s enough that i feel like
i must correct this, I must impart knowledge. I mean I get it, we’re not taught the fiber arts as a society, how are ppl suppose to know right?
Enter my shitty powerpoint. (that i actually really meticulously put together and even did research for)
Edit: I’ve added image description for this cross stitch vs. needle painting powerpoint under the read more.
Slide 1: On the left is a needle painting of plants and a human skull with screen shotted tags for “cross stitch” all over it increasing in size. A small skull doodle at the bottom says “I’m not tho”
One the right the text reads “Cross stitch, what is it? (it’s not this) A power point by concentricccokies. Not to shame but to enlighten. I just wanna bring a deeper understanding of (specific) fiber arts to the world. Pls join me, or don’t I’m not your dad.”
Slide 2: Text reads: “Cross stitch is: done on even weave gridded fabric. Two crossed stitches over the same area. Counted, oft from a gridded pattern. Kinda like pixel art, teeny squares to make up a larger image.”
Images show two examples of cross stitch taken from creative commons, Will Smith meme of him gesturing with his whole body points to them. They show the basic stitch and pattern of the type of gridded look cross stitch. One is more traditional patterning and one is of Space Invaders from Atari, highlighting how perfect cross stitch is to translate pixel art.
Text around the art reads “it’s also very cool and valid. Like look at this! The patterns u can achieve! & RIP to all the pixel landscape crosstitch i couldnt include cause it wasnt in the creative commons”
Slide 3: Text reads: “What cross stitch isn’t. Any freehand embroidery. I was going to do a breakdown of all the different styles of (freehand) embroidery but there are literally too many. Anyways here are examples of Needle Painting. Threads flow free over the fabric to create a realistic effect.”
The top image is a close up of an apple needle painting with text overtop that reads “These stitches do not care what the fabric is doing. Rebellious, Unrully. Defiant. Ungovernable.” (the stitches actually are all running along side each other very neatly to mimic the curve of an apple.)
The bottom image is of yellowed & browning fall milkweed leaves over a fabric that has a very oddly textured weave or knit. text beside it reads “U can have weird fabric choices. Do I know what this weave/knit is? No. Does it hold a stitch? Yes. Beaut.” (both images are taken from my own work)
Slide 4: Text reads: “In Conclusion. All cross stitch is embroidery BUT not all embroidery is cross stitch.”
There is a diagram in the middle of the slide with the word “embroidery” big and bold in the middle and radiating out from around it a whole bunch of different embroidery styles are listed. They are as follows: Zardozi, Mountmellic, Crewel work, Ayrshire work, Sashiko, Needle point, Chikankari, needle painting, cross stitch, Berlin work, Punch needle, Stump work, patchwork embroidery, Chinese silk (Xiu) embroidery, Kogan.
small text at the top reads: “There are literally too many styles to list. U guys this is only a handful.”
The powerpoint ends with “Thank you for coming to my ted talk.”
#ty for coming to my ted talk#cross stitch#needle painting#embroidery#power point#pls dont shame people for not knowing or using the wrong terms#even in ur tags#we all dont know things until we learn u know

Oh for SURE lol I've got that mp Optimus and it's very obvious. This WAS just a one off piece (two off?) So there's not an expectation to really be familiar with the characters and have a personal stylization yet...
I definitely have some really distinct notes tho
Even from just this photo I can tell this is a warped transparent PNG he didn't draw over. The resolution is ever so slightly off. Don't get me wrong this isn't a criticism, that's fine, jebus, you don't and shouldn't have to draw these things every time
But then theres this one that's clearly freehanded and it's just like.
LMFAOOOO what. Look at them beside each other. That's... Hilarious. You really have to pick one. Like you can't do both next to each other, it's so noticeable
That is a STRAIGHT UP marvel G1 hand. Chunky. Shiny. Smooth. Barest hint of seamlines.
And then obviously just... That neck. What were you thinking here? This is not good. Weird oversized neck dipping into a chest it's too flush with to actually move. No chin. And then worse, absolutely no expression. open up those eyes! And imagine the rest of his face if he had a face- the eyes just feel off, a little too small, a little too high.
It really does read as a good artist unfamiliar with drawing tfs. That's really... Something that only comes with practice, but a good story can always uplift the art. That's the real question.
Darren Warren Johnson is REALLY incredible at these big wide crowded scenes with lots of detail. He really does not skimp on detail. He also really focuses on inorganic shapes in his art, lots of robots, buildings, cars and spacecraft. He's got a really great grasp of perspective and depth and seems to love showing it. He puts it on full display.
He also has really interesting and varied panel layouts and page spreads. His comic pages are all so bombastic. Very exciting.
I like the balance of smooth emotive shapes and machine detail. I really like how he drew ravage here. he looks very smooth and curvy like a cat but also very distinctly recognizable as ravage. Then on lazerbeak you can see a lot of really intimate mechanical detail.
It gives me a little bit of jlaw vibes with the way he does shapes, very chunky. But also I see a bit of a marvel kind of feel.
I'm hesitantly quite optimistic actually. DWJ seems like a really talented artist who is specifically skilled in the areas that are really important for transformers.

Battle Subway Restrictions Apply: No Legendaries
(AO3)
Summary: Ingo and Emmet have always been together. A pair of twins. A set of brothers. Sure, they've had their time apart from each other - it's not like they're conjoined at the hip! But they've always known where the other is, and if distance was a problem- well, isn't that what modern technology is for?
They were always meant to be a two-car train. Never to be uncoupled until the two of them were both good and ready to let go. And even as age tries to drag them down as the years go by, they simply keep each other up and about. Youth is impossible to let go of when they have each other. How could they possibly be 55 now when they still feel like they're still 27? (Do NOT bring up the backache complaints.)
...But of course. Fate always had a funny relationship with twins. And not every joke lands in their favor.
Word Count: 1971
Bonus Tags: Pre-PLA, Ingo's Disappearance, Ingo and Emmet Are Old, Crack...?, Angst, Birthdays, Jokefic
A/N: Everyone kept making Grandpa Ingo jokes in PLA so I said let's make that canon. They're in their fifties here, but age has never really stopped anyone before! ESPECIALLY in Pokemon. Anyway, this fic was spawned from me giggling over thinking, “But wouldn’t it be funny if he IS old in PLA, but not because he’s been there for years. He’s just always been old. And now he’s rock-climbing freehand with a Sneazler and getting jacked as hell”. Infinitely more funnier. This does not get touched upon in this fic tho. Another funny joke does instead :3c
////
Trainers, for lack of a better reason, never seem to know when to retire. Likewise, both Ingo and Emmet find themselves in a predicament many veterans and older Leaders tend to find themselves in. The pair of twins walk down the empty subway passageway, the area clear of lingering trainers as they officially close for the night. With the remaining minutes of their birthday ticking away aimlessly, they find themselves in no rush to get home. Another eventful year together. Another moment spent together. They’ve learned that the time they’ve spent together is one rarely experienced by others, and by now, yearly celebrations of their birth seem small in comparison to the time they’ve spent battling together on the subway.
That being said, Ingo won the coin flip so now they’re having chocolate cake once they get home. Emmet can suck up his loss later; they still have to get candles as per tradition. Chandelure loves lighting the fire hazards, and both Ingo and Emmet agreed that they’d get five candles each to satisfy the fire/ghost-type. An easy silence stretches between them like a relaxing Purrloin as their footsteps echo in tandem with each other. However, the silence between the two can only last so long until Ingo breaks it with his booming voice. He never really learned how to control his volume after all these years.
"Emmet," Ingo begins, removing his hat to run his fingers through his thinning hair, "this two-car train has been running for quite some time, wouldn't you say?"
"That's true. Yup!" Emmet continues their march forward, the Battle Subway already having reached its last stop half an hour ago. "About 34 years now. Almost 35."
"Do you ever think about retiring from being a Subway Boss?"
"Nope. Never." He swings his arms as he walks, still so full of energy despite his age. "A train must always run as scheduled! No delays. No interruptions. Time hasn't put locomotives out of commission yet! We still have much to do. More battles to conduct."
Ingo chuckles as he matches his brother's step. "Indeed, you're very correct, Emmet! We can only improve, both in battle and innovations. Speaking of which - remind me to look over the schematics for renovations. I believe some of our cars are due for maintenance soon."
"Of course. First thing in the morning - maintenance and future plans!” Emmet pauses in his thoughts at his own words. He wonders briefly if Ingo too has his own future plans, given the question he posed earlier. “Actually - why did you bring retirement up?" He looks over to his twin curiously. "Are you thinking about putting the brakes on this train?"
"Not in the slightest." He shakes his head and walks ahead of his brother, the exit to the subway just in sight. "But I figured I'd check in with you just to be sure. In case you do want to retire eventually. I wouldn't want to push you past your limits if you're more than ready to lay this old carriage to rest. No need for unnecessary wear and tear."
"Verrrry unlikely." They come to a stop just before the corner leading to the stairs out the subway, Ingo turning around to face his brother as Emmet taps his chin mischievously. "But did you bring this up because of our birthday? I didn't realize 55 was that old. Or should I start calling you an old geezer now?"
"Ha ha, you're the same age as me." Ingo snorts as Emmet sticks his tongue out like a child. "I wasn't the one complaining about a bad back earlier."
"Hey! You carry around Galvantula. Tell me how your back feels then."
"Apologies, I can't hear you over the sound of my floating ghost-type pokémon."
"Don't you mean your loud as hell voice?"
"Rude." Despite his small admonishment, Ingo still laughs. "I see I won't have to worry about taking you along for another ride then."
"Really! As if I'd let you ride alone." Emmet pokes his brother's chest as Ingo backs away playfully. "Don't forget! I am Emmet. You are Ingo. We're a two-car train. Always a pair. Always together. Where one goes, the other follows. If you start forgetting, remember to take your omega 3 pills! Health checks are important safety checks."
"You know as well as I do that those pills hardly do anything for improving health."
"I know! Pretty fucked up they keep trying to sell it to us 'cause we're old. We may be old, but our wheels aren't rusty. Nope!"
"Agreed. Although I would say I'm the much younger twin, right, Emmet?" Ingo spins about and walks forward as Emmet trails behind him with a laugh.
"Oh, so now you're the younger twin? Really? After how many years? I see. Your final stop is… straight to hell!" he responds playfully as Ingo laughs loudly. The younger twin notices a stray flyer littering the ground right as his brother is about to step on it, but before he can warn his twin, Ingo speaks up again.
"I simply cannot, there is no terminal called Hell in my- ah." Right on cue, Ingo's boot steps down and slips on the flimsy flyer. He loses his balance and quickly begins to topple over with a noise of surprise.
Emmet laughs as he rushes forward to grab the back of his twin's coat-
Except.
For some reason, Ingo's coat slips through his fingers as the amusement falls from Emmet's voice. A force of wind presses against his back as it pushes him forward. His boots skid against the tile of the subway, and with widening eyes he watches as the ground in front of Ingo... disappears.
The shock melts into horror as Ingo yells, arms windmilling by his side as he tries desperately to fight against gravity and the pull of whatever this thing is (shining void-like spinning swirling bright dark white black wormhole portal unnatural dangerous bad bad bad!) gaping wide at his feet. "Emmet-!"
"Ingo!" He reaches out for his brother yet again, risking getting pulled in as he runs forward to catch him. "Ingo, I'm-!" Just as he's about to wrap his arms around his brother, a burst of energy flashes in their eyes as they both shriek. Still, Emmet hugs the air in front of him tightly even as the light engulfs his brother. Still, Emmet cries out for his twin even as the answering soft pop is the only sound left in the subway.
…Still. Just like that, everything becomes still. A soft rustle of the wind is all that’s left as a clatter of pokéballs falls to the ground.
Ingo's pokéballs.
He falls to his knees, chest heaving as his arms hug himself. The subway is quiet now. Lights flicker harmlessly from the aftermath. There’s no one else here. No one else but Emmet. Just Emmet. Cold realization builds from his chest and slowly spreads, and spreads, and spreads , freezing him, chilling him to his core as his breath catches and stutters and breaks. Never in all the fifty five years he has been alive has he ever prepared for this kind of separation.
Never. At least, not yet. Not this soon. He had at least another ten or so years left with Ingo to even consider the oncoming waltz with death. They still had things to do. Places to visit. Pokémon to see. His chest seizes with the realization that they just turned fifty five. Today, they are fifty five.
…They? No, they. Right? Today. Today, they are. Right?
…But how can they be a they if there is only him? No Ingo, just Emmet. The truth pulls a pained whine from him as he stares at the tiles his brother once stood on.
(he wasn’t ready he wasn’t ready he wasn’t ready he wasn’t ready he needed needed needed more time more time more TIME-)
Today. Today he is. He is-
Just Emmet.
"Ingo...?" His soft voice isn't loud enough to echo in the empty halls. Still, he tries again as he calls for his twin. "Ingo...!" As if to reward his efforts, the empty subway station just barely echoes back his cry. The lacking response only works in swallowing him whole. His breathing quickens as he looks around wildly. Emmet has never needed to be loud enough to echo because Ingo would always answer loud enough for the both of them. Ingo was is Emmet's echo.
And now his echo has been silenced.
Desperately, his hands scrabble at the spot his brother stood just seconds ago. He scratches and claws and tries to peel back the tile, the ground, the earth as tears fill up his vision. Panic and despair rises up in his throat like bile as a broken sob breaks through.
"Ingo!" But the ground doesn't break. Emmet slams his fists against the ground, pounding at it as if it’ll open back up and return his brother to him. "Ingo!! INGO!!" He pounds and pounds and pounds .
But the gods don't answer back.
And the wind refuses to carry his cries to them.

A phone chimes in her pocket and Elesa takes it out, a smile on her face as she reads the familiar contact name. Without missing a beat, she opens up the texting app and quickly scrolls through her previous conversation with the twins to get to the new messages.

#14 with whichever member or members you think it would apply to most! The prompt made me giggle and I could imagine saying it to any one of them! 😂
14: “I really can’t leave you alone for 5 minutes can I?” Warnings: Damiano being, well, Damiano lol. Fluff.
-x-
You opened the door to your apartment and walked back inside, you had quickly run out to grab a few things for your date night tonight. You and Damiano decided to stay in tonight and make a meal together instead of going out as you’d normally do. You made your way over to the kitchen with the bags of groceries and placed them on the counter, ready to unpack them when you heard a noise. Stopping what you were doing and holding completely still so you could focus on the sound and where it was coming from.
A high pitched buzz was ever so slightly echoing from your bedroom. Your brows knitted together as you were confused about what was happening in there, so you left the kitchen and walked down the hall to the bedroom door. It was shut but the closer you were to it definitely confirmed that the sound was coming from behind the piece of wood. You moved your hand to the door handle and opened it. Your eyes are widened at the sight before you.
“I really can’t leave you alone for 5 minutes can I?” You called from the doorway over to Damiano, who was sitting on the bed with his godforsaken tattoo gun in hand, adding yet another new piece of ink to his collection.
That thing had been the bane of your existence since he bought it. All the random tattoos he had done to himself out of pure boredom or just because he thought it was funny. He had even managed to talk poor Thomas into letting him do it to him too, and you aren’t even going to get into the countless times he tried to talk you into it, but as always your answer was always a firm ‘no’.
“You went out, I got bored.” He told you before dipping the needle of the gun into the ink and tracing over the stencil on his leg.
“I was gone for 5 minutes, 10 max, you could have turned the tv on like a normal person!” You told him with a slight laugh at the situation happening in front of you. “What are you even tattooing onto yourself now?” You went to walk closer to see but he raise a hand stopping you.
“No, you can’t look until it’s done.” He told you sternly. You stopped just short of the bed, not being able to see what was being tattooed.
“Aren’t you sick of giving yourself home done tattoos yet?”
“Nope.” He replied simply, all of his focus going towards the, well, whatever it was he was doing on his leg. You rolled your eyes and shook your head at his response.
“Well Kat Von D I’m starting dinner and would love it if you joined me.” You sang out as you walked out of the room.
10 minutes later you were standing by the stove, a glass of wine in one hand, spoon in the other as you stirred the contents of the pan. You heard footsteps behind you so you turned to see your boyfriend standing there with a cheeky grin on his face. You turned down the heat of the stove and placed the spoon down.
“Show me what you did.” You said as if he was a child that had done something bad, which to be fair, this could easily be compared to that in your opinion.
“I love you.” He told you.
“Oh god it’s bad isn’t it?” You placed your wine glass down on the counter before walking towards him, preparing for the worst.
You looked down at his leg, spotting the new art down on his ankle. Looking closer you saw it was a simple heart with your initials in the centre. It wasn’t terribly done like you had expected, the heart was obviously a freehanded one tho as it wasn’t perfectly symmetrical, but you actually thought that made it more meaningful. It was his drawing of a heart, not some generic google image. A smile slowly started to appear on your lips as you looked at it.
“Did you think that if you dedicated a tattoo to me I wouldn’t be as mad that you did it yourself?”
“Maybe, something like that.” He laughed “but also I just love you and hate leaving you, so now I have you with me wherever I go.” You smiled at that. This man has a way with words, even if he was just trying to butter you up and not make you mad over his continuous self tattooing. You leaned closer to him, pressing your lips to his in a soft kiss.
“I love you. I love it.” You told him.
“I’m glad.” He smiled “Now here’s the real one I did.” He said as he started to lift his shirt. Your eyes widened, almost threatening to pop out of your head.
“Damiano, I swear to god!”
“I’m joking.” he laughed dropping the hem of his shirt down before pulling you into a hug.
Hours later, you both sat on the couch in each other’s arms, some movie played away on the tv, you had lost interest in it tho as you found yourself looking down at Damiano’s new tattoo.
“I have an idea.” You spoke up.
“Hmm, what’s that?” He asked, eyes still on the screen.
“Tattoo me.” You told him, causing him to quickly turn and look at you.
“What?!”
“You heard me.” You sat up out of his arms sitting cross-legged and facing him. “Give me a tattoo.”
“How much wine have you drunk?” He questioned you, completely taken back by what you are asking him.
“Come on you have been begging me to let you do it since you got the damn thing.” You told him.
“Yeah but that’s partly because I knew you’d never actually say yes.” He said back, still in shock of what you asked.
“Well, that backfired for you then because I’m saying yes. Do it!” You grinned.
You laid there with your eyes squeezed shut, teeth biting down into your lip as you felt the needle burn over your skin.
“One more line.” He told you “aaand you’re done.” You felt him wipe over the area on your ribs that he had been working on, cleaning off the excess ink.
Sitting up you looked down at your side see the small heart with his initials inside it. Matching the one he gave himself earlier. You smiled happily down at it. It wasn’t bad, luckily for you, he had been doing them on himself enough that he had a pretty steady hand now.
“I love it.” You told him.
“I can’t believe you actually let me do that on you.”
“Matching couples tattoos are normally bad luck aren’t they?” You asked him.
“Well yeah, kind of. I mean people do it and then break up after, leading them to regret the tattoo.”
“Cool can’t wait until we break up in like two weeks now.” You joked. He rolled his eyes and laughed.
“I’d never allow it. Sorry. You’re marked as mine now.” He told you with a kiss.

PART 8
“Holy Sh*t. Jang! Did you just--- Urgh! You bastardo.”
A surprised curse blurts out into her mouth definitely, the moment she led her unprepared eyes upon the arrogant Jang Taeyoung who is just confidently came in to the room where she is. Only to receive an exasperating awe which also halts his steps for a second through its closet. Doubting eyes now landed to her. “Did I heard it right? You just cursed in English? That’s new eh?”
His very random casualty anyhow which she straightly did not entertain. Him who is finally settling a chosen cloth putting it for a bit on the backrest of his dressing table chair. while she in the other hand has to deal with it as usual. He’s only wearing a bathrobe, for Pete’s sake! She can’t still even oblige herself to turn her head to look at him. Waking up in an unfamiliar room was already a bewilderment for her, what more with this loco she is with. She almost seen half of his--- “Aish! Can you please wear something already?!” only answered by a smirk which she obviously unseen.
“Wait? Are you shy? What a news. So, Sung Eunyoung still knows how to get nervous, huh?”
Thus, she had no choice but to face him with a frowning look, remembering to seek her own confusions. “Tsk. Happy? Where am I anyway? And why am I with this thing?” pertaining to the IV inserted in her wrist certainly, as her gaze wanders to him who’s reaching a first aid kit from a bedside table.
“To detox the drug in you. And for the record, you’re in my penthouse.”
His firm answer indeed while she was shock, undecided between which she must confirm first. “What?” the sensible remark she can only utter then. Eyes still following onto him who’s now setting himself to grab a seat beside her on the bed. “Which of the two did you mean by that? I can’t follow.” Him who’s starting to get a cotton and sanitizer from the kit, which also led for the appearance of her anxiousness that she was now totally agitated settling her eyes between his movement and to her IV, including her unsettled answer as well.
“T-the pent--- I mean the drug. I was drug?!” her stuttering success words somehow, but not long enough to get her nervous the moment he finally holds her forearm that she quickly moves back. “Hey, what are you doing?” her prudent fight indeed, only to be hold back by him. “I’ve been doing this on my own, Sung Eunyoung. Trust me.”
Just to be answered by her hesitating groan, still. “Are you sure? Can’t you at least call a doctor instead?” thus a frustrating sigh went into him totally. “Seriously, woman? Who do you think settled this dammit Intravenous, and the hell who shot you a tranquilizer during your influence, huh?”
“You shot me a what?!” obviously another surprise for her. “You heard it. So, are we settled then?” only proceeded by her surrendering hum. “Good. Tss. You stubborn volatile.” His last statement then, before cautiously performing the removal of the IV. Not when he heard a whimper from her though who’s actually avoiding her eyes from her wrist. Reason for his little laugh as well. “You’re afraid after all. Is it blood or needle?” holding her temper not to explode. “Shut up. Just finish what you are doing will you?”
Only to hear another laugh from him. Somehow take the courage to look at him though, as she only notices the usual brushed up hair of him is on a hair down bangs for a while. ‘He looks good.’ As what her thoughts says otherwise. Later landed to the glimpse of his tattoos especially by the lower part of his neck. ‘se---‘
“I might melt anytime soon, Sung Eunyoung… You don’t have too fluster me, I already know I’m erotic.”
Before she could piece her second thought obviously, he already concluded it right. That she had to only clear her throat and avoid his gaze instead. Before deciding to dodge it by another reopening topic. “Uh. Hm. Right, tell me how did I got influenced then. What drug was it?” only to be answered by his hidden smirk as he welcomes to give her details.
“Ecstasy. So basically, the filthy Spanish dimwit poured a powder type in your drink and you carelessly bite it. The end.”
As if his tale-like story telling that he already expected the disbelief reaction to her who only manage to glance by her reflection through the window glass, out of frustration.
“Jesus. It literally slipped on my mind. He probably did it when I was focused to the gift h--- wait? Speaking of, where was i---“
“Burned.”
Somehow satisfied from what he did. “Ah. Okay.” That she just casually answered without objection. But to him was a bit unexpected. “I actually thought you’ll disagree. But after learning from you today, well I like it though. Good to know.” And with the last touch from the cotton and plaster tape on her wrist. He’s finally finished. “I did something crazy, aren’t I?”
Just to receive a sly smirking smile from him, as he even tilting his head for teases. “Want to go on details as well?” understanding his remark perhaps that her hair should be disheveled. Promptly realizing the white shirt and checkered pajama on her that surely his. As she was now fuming mad with the man beside her. “You take advantage of me?!”
Fully her accusations indeed after hastily throwing a pillow to his face. “Great. What a word for a thank you.” As he helplessly reached the thrown pillow somehow and putting it back on the bed. “Listen, woman. I honestly did not. Well fine, almost. And upon mine you were wearing, I called assistance. Now, does it answer your madness then?”
Crossing his arms as he gave the straight explanations to her. Only to see the doubting look on her, still. Cause by his aggravating sigh. “Do I now have to call for CCTV personnel?” scoffing in the end as she just chose to believe his words. Thus, he stands up after closing the first aid kit and place it back where it belonged.
“Anyhow. I had to go somewhere for a bit. I already called room service for your breakfast, though. You’ll just have to open the door for them. Unless you’re in a diet…” thus his quick reflexes of changing his clothes began that she had to curse him again as she just decided to went out of his bedroom first instead. Than implanting malicious images she never wished to see anyway. Loud banging of the door definitely, proceeding with her series of curses. “Urgh! This maldito bastardo, really.” Only to be answered by a laughter from him once more.
As she went nowhere to his living room couch. Frowning eyes still focused to the cursed room she went out. “Tss. This bastardo really get on my nerves. Aish.” Her last call of complains finally, before chooses to just wander her eyes to the features of his penthouse somehow. For it was also her first time to be inside it. Truly it is, for she always refused his invites. The hell will she dared too. Thus, she starts to stand up from the couch, roaming herself to each corner of his living room with the crossing of her arms, as if a critique meticulously rules on every aspect of it. From the structure of its walls, design of selected artworks, to the bookshelves, until a pit stop to his window glass. Giving the answers of her opinions. “Hm. Not bad.”
“Of course! Why would it be?”
Just to hear the boasting remark of the owner who seems good to go, after buttoning a last button from his coat sleeves. Too late to regret her compliments. “So a Jang Taeyoung knows to read somehow, huh?” her motioning to the pile of books in a way. “Uh. That? Nah. Just for display purposes. You don’t have to fall in love. Are you?”
That she had to rolled her eyes with his nonsense schemes. “Just go, please.” The dullness of her words certainly. “Wow. I was not informed that my penthouse has a new owner, eh?” thus, his sarcasm came in. “Big word, as if you’re not doing it well with my apartment.”
Satisfied by the raising of his arms of surrendering. “Fine, I lost. Jeez you, woman. You really have your way of words I can’t seem to defeat.” As he starts to push the up icon of his private elevator, with a freehand in its pockets. “Bye! I shall return. Don’t worry, I won’t take long. Be good to my penthouse. Alright, Love?”
As much as she hurries to protest by his last word, she’s too late anyway for the doors of the elevator already closed with the sly winking man inside it. That she only walks back with a frustrating shaking head. Not long enough after remembering her little disappointment a while ago, unconsciously turning her head to the closed elevator again.
“He looks better with a hair down, tho--- Aish! Am I really thinking about that? Urgh.”
Her reproaches to herself definitely, after shaking her head again as she chooses to continue exploring his penthouse anyway while waiting for the room service to arrive. Later on take a minute before it finally came, that she can even decipher the discerning eyes of the service crew as if implying something she surely know. “If you’re done, you’re good to go.” A superiority coldness from her words indeed, just enough to scare an already nervous crew, which she did not fail to give an intimidating look the moment it went out.
“Mierda! So, I had to suffer for misjudgment now? Great. Just great.”
Her last complains definitely, before settling to the food served for her. And when she’s in the middle of biting the last variant of fruits, a small opening from somewhere caught her attention that she even takes its saucer and fork with her as she steps into it. Just to be astonished upon learning what’s through it.
A better view of the mesmerizing sky and busy streets of the city. That she wished she could see during the night. Capturing every futuristic structures. Not when her eyes landed to its indoor pool situated on the center though. That she intuitively frowns with the thoughts of him bringing different b*tches for his satisfaction. Thus, without any second thoughts, she swiftly avoids her gaze to it, not liking to feed her thoughts with much scandalous one. Thankful for her eyes to find a much intriguing view. As she decides to put off the saucer and fork on to a wooden deck chair just beside her. Walking her steps towards a wall to later take off the satin cloth covered on it.
A pastel portrait of Jang Taeyoung that is too good to be one. For she almost considered it a photo. Clasping her hands to her back as she somehow studied the intricate wave of lines of it that she began to get curious of its texture and was about to touch it.
“Loving your view?”
Only to be cut by the devil who’s obviously just came back from his agenda. That she had to turn her back to the portrait and unwillingly face the latter who had just use her fork to pick a fruit from her saucer on the wooden deck chair. “Not really.” Chooses to slip her disapproval by his actions, instead, and just better entertain his questions. “Why?” his itching question while she tends to point to her back, again.
“Well, did this man tell you how I’ve been discriminated by a service crew as if I’m one of your bicha, huh? Cabrón?”
Only to accused the innocent portrait indeed. Leaving him in awe somehow. “See? That’s the result of your everyday refusal with my invites. They could have been familiar to you by now if you at least agree just once.” That she only gives in a rejecting snort. “No thanks still, Mr. Jang.”
“Oh, come on. Again?”
“Since I can tell how many b*tches you already brought and claim with this dirty pool of yours. And you still expect me to come?”
Pouting with the thought truly, as he even gazed his eyes to the thing. “Well I can’t argue with that, though. Do you want me to move out, then?” that confusions crept her. “Eh? And what does it have to do with me? Do what you want, why need my permission, Loco. You have money enough to waste.”
That the only thing he could do is snap in the air. “Right. What am I expecting even? Tss. Here, at least.” That’s where she noticed two paper bags in his hands as he offers one to her. Somehow understood her questioning gaze onto it that he seemed oblige to answer in some way. “Your cloth from yesterday. I handed it to the laundry last night. In case you want to retrieve it?”
Just a reason for her sudden irritation in a way. “Trash that. I can only remember what the coño kid did to me. Urgh.” Thus a satisfying smirk paved his way. “I knew it. A new one it is.” Him, swapping it with the other one then, as she seems contented by his guts. “Thank you.” Accepting the offer indeed by means of her starting walking ahead of him to finally change. Remembering something she almost forgot to ask. “Right. By any chance. Did you manage to---“
“Don’t worry. We already solved the mess, Ms. Sung.”
Cut by her words obviously, but somehow relieve by his answer. “Good. I thought I---“
“Almost forgot to remind you as well that the next time you wear revealing clothes, don’t expect me to be a good boy. Understand, hm? Love?”
Had to gasp an unexpected certainly, for she did not expect his sudden move, hugging her from behind as soon as she went out of the changing room. In means of feeling his rubbing thumb on the navel part of her body. Worst when he leans to kiss the back of her earlobe, that she had to grip to his hold for a while as support to her unravel stance and close her eyes like it’s the best sensation she ever had, to later silently curse herself with the thought. If this is the aftermath of her influence, then screwed up! She really hated it totally. By means she had to fight it in any way. With a gritting teeth and stern look, she succeeded surely.
“Get your hold out of me before you meet your destiny behind bars, Jang Taeyo---“
“Want to take revenge with the dimwit somehow? I can be a help though.”
The supposed to be frustration from cutting her words only replaced by a tempting welcome from the offer he suggested. “How?” too late to regret her move of turning her head to face him, as she forgot they were still close to each other. Opposite to how he desirably stares to her lips. Meeting his sly expression again. “Now, you’re all ears.” His only remark before miraculously just let go of her without urging for teases like he always do. Except for the smirk, maybe. Thank God still, as the thought of punishing someone excites her for no reason.

I absolutely love your art style! As someone who's been trying to develop an art style for multiple years now, do you have any tips? (Tbh I wish I could draw in one similar to yours, its both so detailed and simple at the same time. I love it 👉👈)
That’s actually so funny, just a day or so ago I started doing a style study for my own style lol, maybe expect some supplementary material for this question sometime soon
So, I might not be the best person to ask about pursuing a style, I kinda just accept whatever my hand makes at this point lol. I do remember when I was still looking for one that I was aiming for “simple yet detailed” so hey, if I made it then I’m glad!
Okay but honestly -
1. Find stuff that inspires you I know it’s cliché, but finding a style takes a lot of practice, and it’s 1000% easier to practice a lot on stuff that makes you happy. Whether it’s something IRL, other artists’ work, anything, find what you like and dedicate time to picking out your favourite aspects. Figure out what makes a style you like tick and use it.
2. Do style studies Piggybacking off the last point, style studies are absolutely invaluable. Freehand copying, however you want to call it, is an incredible tool, and it trains you to translate what your eyes see to what your hand is capable of. A lot of artists get tripped up by not being able to put what they see in their head to paper or screen, but the building blocks are getting your hands and eyes to work together first, brains come last lol. (Do be aware that some artists are very uncomfortable with any form of copying tho - studies are for you to learn, so it’s the safest bet to keep them to yourself unless you have permission from the artist directly)
3. Silhouette is everything Okay so that’s maybe a bit of an exaggeration, there are a lot of things that make up a style’s whole, but for me, learning silhouetting really changed the game. Being able to identify what you’re looking at just from the outline applies to everything, from overall composition down to minute detail work, silhouette is so so so important. It’s the reason I really love drawing hands, they’re basically 100% silhouette in simpler styles!
4. Be nice to your art Your art wouldn’t exist without you, so be nice to it! Work on things until you like them, even just one aspect, so you can compliment yourself and your art and be more energized to improve, using that thing you liked in the future. If things aren’t going well that drawing session, just set it down and rest for a bit - it’s better to take a break than to hate your art.
I hope these help! These are more general drawing tips, but hopefully they’ll point’cha in the right direction
#thatonewannabedragon#Art advice#??? Lol I hope it's helpful anyway#Take everything with a grain of salt I'm basically completely self-taught so I have no formal education on any of this :'D#But yeah basically all of these points have worked for me#Also thank you! I'm glad you like my style uwu I like it too#Each hyperfixation - a very clear thing that I can throw myself into lol - helps me improve each time#In consistency in form in posing composition - it's a very wholesome experience lol#I literally cannot recommend style studies enough they are Incredible#I consider myself a bit of a Style Sponge by this point - as long as the shading/toning isn't too intense I can mimic a style decently well#And I always learn a bunch from them! Every time I've done a dedicated study I've walked away with a better understanding of /something/#And silhouette is just ugh I could probably talk about silhouetting forever lol#There are few better feelings than having studied something enough to confidently draw just the outline and successfully identify it#Plus it makes you more aware of every detail you put down - How visible is everything? How clear is each position each element?#Posing is extra fun in silhouette#I still struggle with the last one sometimes I think every artist does but I still try to find things that I like!#It also pushes you to experiment I think to see if there's something new to like about your art hehe#Also if you want to do a style study off my art and it's something you're comfortable with sharing I give my permission for it#As long as you remember to credit I'd love to see :D
