It's officially New years for me here! I am not the best at words, but I'm thankful for the support that I've received for the short amount of time that I've started posting art more often.

What started off as me wanting to just Archive some art I'm proud of snowballed to so many memories that I'll look back fondly to, so many silly ideas that breached containment that I remember seeing people do (Like the draw your oc reacting to their fave card that me and addie just talked about as a joke, and the Shroompocalypse that was just meant to be an Jade stealing people's yume joke)

- Ummm. this is just something i find very funny but i absolutely love the idea that before they “Formally” announce their relationship, the public have just been spreading rumors left and right about the princess’s “affair”. cass and rapunzel somehow NEVER notice this but for a while it seems like eugene cant go ANYWHERE without someone either awkwardly being like “Soooo how are things going with the princess ^_^;;;” or just straight up asking “Hey is your wife cheating on you?” with no hesitation.

before long literally EVERYONE has heard about it. rapunzel’s fucking Parents have heard about it. people in other KINGDOMS have heard about it. Meanwhile eugene’s having the time of his Life. He’s got disguises just to go in and listen in on the servants’ gossip. at this point he’s just started Making shit up and every day he’s spreading a proposition thats somehow even more absurd than the last. Most of them don’t even make sense. Like “Oh yeah no the reason rapunzel and cass are always sneaking off together isn’t because they’re having a steamy love affair it’s actually because they’ve been making blood sacrifices to the underworld to make sure zhan tiri never returns. Just girl things yk?”

“No see you’ve got it all wrong thats not cassandra at all. That’s shorty. He and rapunzel are having a book club together. It’s not going very well because shorty keeps eating all the books.” Or his personal favorite, “Wait you thought RAPUNZEL was the one having the affair?” gets them EVERY TIME.

Cass and rapunzel finally declare things officially only for everyone to become even MORE confused and they finally realize eugenes been fueling the fire for the past 3 months and he had just Assumed they were already aware of it

- this is kind of random but i PROMISE its going somewhere bear with me. In my head eugene is NOT the captain of the guard because a character becoming a cop is literally a fate worse than death. instead i like to imagine he does some kind of social work and is also an author…Eugene has a rlly strong connection to literature and is a great storyteller, hes got a flair for the dramatic and a strong imagination and seeing how much the flynn rider books meant to him in his childhood, i think he’d absolutely want to create something like that for other people 🥹

Anyways one of my favorite ideas w them is a modern au where rapunzel and eugene are both starving artists who are making a webcomic together…Eugene is still trying to publish his first novel and is writing for the comic in the meantime. theyre aspiring towards turning it into a graphic novel. Cass is literally just forcing everyone around her to read it. You’ve already read it? Read it again /J. She’s their number one hypeman but she’s trying to act sooo chill about it to keep up her Cool stone cold butch aesthetic. She’s like going to cons with them and hands out business cards and helps sell merch and she has a side account on twitter where she gets into heated arguments with anyone who hateposts about it.

Bonus points: it’s a fantasy comic about a lost princess, her knight girlfriend and her rogue boyfriend and is loosely a reference to the events of the canon show

- OH OH something that DEFINITELY fits this category has to be the girls taking eugene to the lagoon for the first time…….I think cass and rapunzel still spend a lot of dates there just the two of them, and no matter what it is very much Their Spot ™, but after things become official it just. Doesn’t really feel right to keep it exclusively between them anymore. i have a LOTTTT of thoughts on this…..rapunzel bouncing around and showing everything to him and cass just being dragged along for the ride…picnics together by the water while cass and raps are eagerly telling him all the stories of what he missed out on. it’s their quiet place i think they escape to whenever they don’t want to be bothered at the castle LOL. eugene officiates the cassunzel wedding there….. not to mention if/when they have kids 🥹 Augh. They make sooo many memories there i think🫶🫶🫶

- Not a specific scene so much as just a silly hc but rapunzel LOVES it when they “fight” over her. Usually it’s just a playful thing and rapunzel finds it so cute and endearing. They have the exact same banter every time and the same fake “duel” for her hand and raps will NEVER get tired of it

- oh and SPA DAYS. God cassandra’s self care routines by herself have always been SHIT. I love that girl but i think she absolutely reeks. Her hair looks like something died in it and whenever it gets too long she just grabs the nearest sharp object and cuts it off in one swoop. Eugene and rapunzel are UTTERLY horrified by this and they do not let that shit fly as soon as she’s living with them. They have little self care nights at least once a week, sometimes just with the three of them and sometimes the rest of the family gets into it too, it depends on the day. eugene helps do her hair for her and they pick out all sorts of fancy products for her skin and her curls and just absolutely SPOIL her. at first shes kinda whiny about it but once she realizes how much better she feels on a day to day basis she reluctantly apologizes for ever doubting them

Dooku. Man. To get some technical stuff out of the way, I think he has a castle in the Serennian hills that isn't an egg-shaped chrome dome. A *really* nice one made of painted stones and wood. Old. Full of portraits of his ancestors and with a stupid whimsical garden that has only become more whimsical ever since he stopped hiring people to trim it. I also think he has a room full of traditional swords in there. Steel blades, all types of lengths and edges, and he knows how to wield each and every one of them to perfection. That room has been collecting dust for a while, though. It comes up in Gone with the Light and I'm VERY excited to write that segment! Hehe

And I just love his inner world - or lack thereof. Old fuck in a castle who can't seem to keep anyone around for one reason or another, but he never makes himself acknowledge the pattern that's so obviously there. His internal monologue is so tasty to write, partially because he's his only hypeman, and also because he has no idea who he is unless he forces himself into the Sith grindset. That way, he doesn't have to think about all the painful stuff so much. Between the genuine revolutionary intent of his younger days, his Jedi upbringing of even younger ones and his present holding on to Sith teachings for dear life, he is lost. There is so much MEAT to him and whatever the hell is going on inside that thick skull man <3 The loneliness and denial always comes up in some way

Also, a more basic headcanon: he's a BIG eater. That body needs a lot of energy even in his old age, considering its dimensions and what he does with it. Back when Qui-Gon hit his growth spurt they could hit a pantry the way the locusts hit the fields of Egypt - in contrast, Dooku deliberately under-eats in official company. Diplomatic dinners, long-winded negotiation meetings, the days he inevitably has to spend with Sidious, you name it. The Republic has an abundance of overly indulgent Senators and Count Dooku, leader of the Confederacy, very much does not want a reputation like Orn Free Taa's. Whenever we see him in canon there's a 50/50 chance of him being hungry as fuck (I am convinced of this because it amuses me greatly)

🫐 What’s your favorite underrated thing in your fandom? (A ship that only you seem to write for, a character there’s almost no fics about, a trope that criminally hasn’t been written yet, etc.)

DEFINITELY the Dooku & Asajj dynamic! It's the sort of juicy but under-developed part of canon that you'd expect to have a couple hundred fics, and among them some of those lifechanging longfics. You know the type. But tragedy strikes... we're not getting that for these two. There's barely anything. I am planning to rectify that because they make me insane and I need to drag more people into the insanity pit with me until the numbers add up. I swear I'm already following every single person who has ever been unwell about them in the character tags augh

Just wanted to say that because of your re:zero posting i started reading the LN of it a month or so ago, and ive been really enjoying it! But i also feel the need to tell you about an incredibly funny thing that happened because of it

I had just finished volume 12 and am talking to my younger sibling about how i was eagerly awaiting the next book, which i had to order online. They expressed interest in it, and asked if i wanted to try watching the anime with them! I had watched around half of season one when first reading and decided i liked the LN version better, but i thought it would be fun to experience it with them.

Now, my favourite character even before reading re:zero has been and will always probably be Otto. Something about his cringe fail vibe had captivated me. However i was under the impression he was truly just some guy whos purpose was to be a little bit unfortunate and help out every now and then and his existence in the story would remain as such. This did NOT stop me from hyping him up to my sibling like the liar i am saying he was actually super important and he was gonna save everybody and was the specialist guy ever. Normal things to jokingly say about your fave deal.

You can maybe then imagine my surprise when RIGHT AFTER we got past where i had read in the anime, Otto is suddenly the key element in helping Subaru, giving him the will to continue and trying to help free the Sanctuary and save everyone and getting sad backstory and cool power moments and everything. And now my sibling is upset at me for spoiling things while i am standing there jaw on the floor. I am really truly shocked about how the timing of it all worked out.

FIX 1: MORE KOICHI FOR THE MASSES

koichi! we love koichi, don't we folks? i know i do.

who's koichi? oh shit, that might be hard to explain.

if you DON'T recognize this little gremlin above, his appeal might be totally lost on you, and his appeal is necessary to understand if i'm going to convince you of what a fucking missed opportunity his narrative purpose could have been.

that's koichi hirose, the short king of morioh. i didnt think i would like him at all after realizing he was being set up as the deuteragonist and companion to the titular jojo of part 4, josuke. like, who the fuck was this little dork? get outta here! im here to see the joestars kidnap children and have homoerotic adventures. i am not here to be subjected to the trials and tribulations of a friendless, spineless, standless dipshit. i assumed he was going to be the designated joestar hypeman for the chapter, a role usually carved out for precocious children.

wrong! koichi gets hit with the stand arrow (the arrow the gives you stands, remember this) early on and gets dragged into a frightening battle of good versus evil right in his own backyard. the arrow and the responsibility that comes with it acts as the main catalyst for his transformation from nottie to hottie. in contrast to the bastardly joestars and their ilk, koichi is a genuinely kind, empathetic, and honest person; he's intended as a foil to the mischievous josuke. he brings to the table the platonic ideal of an every-man who rises gallantly to the challenges thrown at him because its the right thing to do. the series folds koichi as a main cast member to the point where he is one of the very few people on planet earth to draw a smile and praise out of jotaro kujo.

who's jotaro kujo? uhhh.

hmm. i'm getting to my point. but it might require a chart:

POINT: jotaro kujo, the man who probably has with the strongest stand in universe, who appears in 4 chapters out of a total of 9, and who is probably one of the most recognizable and beloved characters in manga history, trusts literally one person on the entire planet: koichi hirose.

SO:

when koichi shows up in part 5 right from the jump to act as the part 4 connective tissue, there is absolutely no reason why he can't stick around for longer than he does canonically so that he can satisfyingly fulfill his role as official vibe checker. let him be important!

look, i need to make sure "we're" all on the same page and understand the perspective i'm coming from. "we", in this case, being the audience of both jojo fans this is primarily aimed at and fandom rubberneckers (greetings friends) who shouldn't have to comb a wiki exhaustively to decode my unhinged ramblings. it's essential background info that koichi is a fan favorite both in canon and in fandom. we gotta understand the role he wound up playing in the overarching struggle of good versus evil in his hometown to understand his narrative role in part 5.

YES. there SHOULD have been more koichi! but not just because we like to see him! he provides an established, trusted moral backbone for the audience. his reputation as a reliable guy is such that jotaro sends him on his own to investigate a young man who may be related to the dreaded bisexual nemesis of the joestar bloodline, dio brando. this is a big fucking deal. if dio has a kid that's really bad. how many backup plans did this guy have (answer: dude you have no idea).

ugh! part 5 koichi! if you really want to scream look up how he looks in the rohan spin off series.

in ep 1 of the "golden wind", koichi arrives in italy looking for our new jojo, giorno giovanna (who sucks, but that's a whole kettle of fish we can only barely touch on now). koichi, who has the street sense of one of those dogs that gets carried around in a luxury purse, instantly gets robbed by petty street criminal giorno in a rare burst of personality never seen again after this initial story-line.

okay whatever. after skipping a few eps, giorno and koichi team up to defeat the first stand together after drawing its ire during giorno's weird mafia test. the stand, black sabbath, stabs its victims with a stand arrow (the arrow that gives stands), causing them to either die or gain powers. this might be controversial, but its my personal opinion that its probably not good for a mafia to have a factory that creates jerks with super powers and its right to try to shut that down. after the fight, giorno reveals his dream to koichi of joining the mafia with the explicit purpose of reforming it from within. koichi promises not to report to jotaro about the fact that there's ANOTHER STAND ARROW until after giorno is initiated into the gang. god. jesus christ.

first of all, this GANG-STAR thing is the silliest shit anyone has ever heard. this is literally his for real goal throughout the entire story-line. which could have been great! but people within the fiction should react to this like hes telling them he's going to invent the first bicycle for fish instead of looking at him with the kind of wonder and glory you reserve for jesus christ himself. this train of thought leads to too many thoughts about giorno's lack of personality, so let's set it aside for now. i think giorno should maintain this insane goal, but he should actively have to convince people that he is capable of doing something that fucking nuts.

second, no way would koichi agrees to this absolutely braindead truce lol. koichi doesn't know giorno from adam; the sense we're supposed to get is that koichi innately senses that he's a good guy from his little speech and we, the audience, are supposed to take his word for it. but there is nothing convincing or authentic in how the situation plays out. there's a level of naivety/stupidity applied to the characters involved for this situation to work at all: i dont know why telling jotaro in florida that there's a stand arrow in italy would impact giorno's mafia standing at all. especially considering the arrow breaks and no longer functions shortly after giorno's initiation. koichi should find giorno's dreams and desires spurious and continue his investigation for jotaro, both to impress him and because its the right thing to do. he should also be like "heh, i took care of a stand arrow for you mister kujo". let him have another win. fuck it. why not.

third, koichi doesn't know that the stand arrow is destroyed and i have a hard time believing that he, a victim of said arrow, would do anything other than raise serious alarms over the proliferation of objectively evil stand users in italy where dio's son coincidentally happens to live. the following arc in which giorno and his new team mates go on a hunt for a hidden treasure should have been a series of demonstrations to koichi that italy was being cleaned up by a joestar (as opposed to the danger of being exploited by a brando) and was ultimately in good hands. this would require giorno to get some wins in during this time so he would actually have to do something for a change.

keeping koichi around long past where he does in canon could and should have given giorno a chance to demonstrate a different form of heroism to contrast the pure-hearted pursuit of justice championed by koichi. in eventually winning over a familiar and trustworthy character, giorno would have proved himself to be more than just "dio's son", a fact which should have hung over this part like a dark cloud.

These two are very much a secretive couple but not like their doing bad stuff they just keep to themselves

Kahili is a bit emotionally constipated so molayne helps her a lot with expressing her emotions

They both have bracelets that they wear that were made by Olivia for their engagement

Molayne’s represents his dugtrio with two little diamonds for the eyes and a citron gem for the nose

Kahili’s is based on her Toucannon and has two onyx gems for the eyes and a spinel for the red part of its beak

They met due to the elite four and Kukui introducing them cause he thought they would get along well

And they did but Kahili was definitely a bit skeptic due to her golfing career and not wanting to shove Molayne into the spotlight

But she does end up kissing him on camera at her last match before retiring

Overall they are very soft and sweet

Shauntal x Grimsley - Rolandshipping

These two are very romantic but also very very freaky at the same time

Goth couple

Very much library dates and candlelight dinners but also just lounging on the couch with each other

They are both extremely into the paranormal (Shauntal especially she is ghost type for a reason)

She has a podcast that grimsley frequents and they talk about hauntings and all the spooky stuff

Shauntal can be a bit shy at times so grimsley is her biggest hypeman

And Shauntal makes sure that he gets enough rest and doesn’t gamble to much

They are big softies who do look intimidating but really aren’t

Kris x Silver - Redemptionshipping

Kris becomes a triathlete when she’s older she still loves the thrill of battle but she’s not really focused on that anymore

Silver goes on his own journey to Kalos and they end up being really good at the long distance relationship things

Silver makes sure that Kris takes breaks and spend time away from her sport

Kris makes sure to stay in touch frequently so silver doesn’t feel alone all the time

When they do meet they aren’t really the type too show to much affection in public but they do hold hands alot

They are the silent but very sweet couple

Silver gets taught dessert recipes by Kris cause she’s amazing at baking

Whilst he himself is more a cook and does big meals a lot of the time

They love to take hikes together it’s an unspoken thing between the two of them but they just know when either wants to meet up and go for a huge hike

Their bond is extremely strong which makes them an awesome team to battle against

It shows through their pokèmon who have an equally strong bond

These two were the enemies to lovers in kalos

Most of the league had bets on when they’d get together or break up

But they are very sweet

Cafe dates or battling dates they pick and choose depending on their moods

Grant helps viola with her photography sometimes when he’s not busy with the gym

Viola joins grant climbing sometimes and they get into some very heated competitions

Grant had to get Alexa’s approval before he could officially ask viola out

It took a few months of convincing (alexa is a tough cookie to crack)

Bit together they are extremely strong and cute

Viola helps grant with balancing the gym and his work

Grant helps viola relax with his cooking as making sure she rests enough due to her own photography projects

Having said that grant sometimes just takes some shots of viola when there put and about on dates sometimes

He has a photo book full of photos from the start up till now of their relationship

Selene (Moon) x Lily - Moonlilyshipping

They are both very quiet, their relationship is not one many know about (apart from elio/hau/gladion)

So they spend hours and hours just snuggling and chilling in each other’s rooms with their pokèmon

Lily likes to read to selene when she’s not doing her champion work and stuff

Selene loves to make lily little trinkets and give her gemstones as a symbol of her love and it’s her way of showing Lily she cares

They tend to take long walks on the beaches just talking about their days or something that had happened

They have double dates with hau and gladion which consists hau talking his ass of with selene trying to match his energy

Lily and gladion both end up smiling like idiots and wonder how they got wonderful partners like that

Lily becomes a pokèmon professor in the future staying in alola to help kuki and burnett with their growing family

She eventually becomes alola’s official professor, travelling all over to spread her research along with the other professors

Selene eventually retires/gets beaten and leaves the position of champion at some point (early 30s/ late 20s?)

It took hau a bit to realise that gladion was trying to find his weaknesses whilst battling and while he knows he has a few, hau knows he and his team are strong

And when hau continues to beat gladion’s ass oh he falls hard does gladion

He tells Lily and Lily is the same about selene, they are very bad at love btw

Hau and Gladion are getting to know each other a lot better

They have battle dates as well as malasada dates

Hau ends up asking him out when they finish a battle one time cause he knew that gladion might not do it

Gladion blushes his ass of and makes sure to always reaffirm his love for hau because the bean is a tad bit self conscious

Hau travels to jhoto and kanto to try all the food, his blog becomes quite popular in the world

Gladion stays with Lily sometimes but travels to kalos to meet with Korrina who he’s close friends with

Hau loves to bring back little keychains and accessories that will suit gladion

In turn gladden brings hau food from kalos back

random life updates for anyone interested:

- starting my last year of university next week; beyond freaked out bc idk what im doing with my life, but finding little mercies in the mundane to keep me sane. coffee, kissing my dogs nose, waving at babies in shops, etc. i have yet to start my dissertation but i have shifted my original plan from ai ‘art’ and why it sucks to the importance of having an open mind when it comes to dadaism and the idea of what art is in general. this is mainly due to lack of resources around generative ai in regards to the art community

- started a website for my artwork! still have to pay for the domain name, but i have a few blog entries and a portfolio and a page for commissions. i have to contact my aunt, who i did three commissions for this summer and who has yet to pay me, because i want to use the money from those comms to pay for the domain and starter inventory for my shop, where im hoping to sell prints and stickers

- travelled overseas by myself for the first time this summer, and got a (kind of) job! i actually enjoyed the flights (i watched bottoms for the first time!) and security was not as scary as it used to be. (is it bc im on medication now? probably but also the airports were fairly quiet (which was crazy bc i left from heathrow) and i had direct flights which was nice). i worked in a local art gallery and gift shop in retail and i got to help set up an exhibition and it was a rly great opportunity to meet artists and get experience in retail. i found that im fantastic at chit chatting with people and definitely have a chameleon effect w southern accents.

- got officially diagnosed with tourette’s. will i be writing another eddie w tics fic bc of this? mayhaps

- started digital art and have been working on it fairly regularly; still trying to figure out an art style but i think i might be getting there— i finally got an apple pencil (everyone say thank you robins grandma) which has been marvellous

- learned how to crochet; i cannot for the life of me read crochet patterns so ive only made a hat for my brother (using a youtube video as guidance), half a scarf bc i ran out of yarn, and a small throw blanket, but it’s v fun to just fidget while watching movies and stuff— im going to make another hat for my brothers xmas gift using yarn from my friend

- i found that i am crazy good at recognising voices; my grandparents listen to almost exclusively classical music so they started playing pandora radios during dinner while i was with them, and my darling grandfather would quiz me about who the artist was and what the song was called. i often would name the artist based on their voice (usually only knowing one song by them) but wouldn’t know the song and usually hadn’t even heard the song before. my grandpa was continually impressed. he’s my #1 hypeman

2. my grandpa preparing some figs left by their next door neighbor; i found that my dislike of fig newtons is just my dislike of figs. but they were pretty.

3. went on a ‘moth walk’ with my grandparents; there’s an arboretum near their house, and some people showed up to listen to a moth expert talk about moths. he’d set up equipment to attract moths and it was sososo fun. this is one of the moths (i don’t recall what it was called, but the leader had his own nicknames for them all) that i got to hold. i also got to hold a firefly for the first time. it was magical.

4. my grandma is a quilter— this is her piecing together a small quilt that we made together for a friend of mine that had a baby recently.

can’t think of any more updates but i’ve realised that i’m spending more time on twitter these days than i am on tumblr so <3

Hobi! What the hell, man, did you even let yourself rest since the hiatus announcement?!

Somehow, since June 2022 (9 months!), Hobi has accomplished:

- performed at Hobipalooza

- released a full, official, debut album (critically acclaimed!)

- did the rounds of a promo cycle

- practiced and performed at Busan YTC with BTS

- performed at award shows + represent BTS

- released a documentary

- unofficial hypeman and social media manager for BTS (/jk)

And now your telling me he’s releasing a single?! THIS FRIDAY?! With a possible MV and choreo?!?!?!

I'm officially done whith both my newsies shows,it's so bittersweet but i don't want these characters to be lost forever so I'm going to tell you about them.

Oscar delancey:

-in typical delancy fashion me and morris cried the entire last show (and I mean entire) and morris attempted to cheer me up at the end,it kinda worked.

-im the more childish one I do a lot more smiling and taunting,I even stuck out my tounge at some kids.

-I'm way meaner,I hit race so hard on the face right in the mic,I throw papers at people's face,hit everyone at any point and worse.

-I went on a date whith seitz in meddas theater and we "made out " at the end

-in reality I overcompesate for my cowardnes

-I have a really wihinny bitchy voice

-at the end I put my arm around wiseal and morris puts his arm on me,but the last show I basically just hugged wiseal still crying

-during carrying the banner me + fiesty (my friends newsie) play war for cash,I'm fixed to win then she gives me money and I wave it around and act like I'm buying dinner Richmond cheers for me + more people thought I'd win in the first place because that's my thing,fiesty also steals some of my cards and has them in her pocket as a reference all show

-fiesty is my charcthers best friend,I help her walk(she litterly broke her foot ),we hug and over all are just best friends
