I want to hear about your ocs! What does AKOW stand for and why are your ocs apart of it

I’m am now very curious about characters I know nothing about!

I am kissing you v softly on the mouth anon, unless you don’t want that, then I am softly bestowing affection on you in a different way that you are amendable to receiving

So the ocs and the organization were a part of a completely original story I was doing a long time ago that I lost the outline for (the real lost media) (I only ever got through the outline before realizing this was going to be too big of a story and I was never going to be able to accomplish it), but I loved the organization so much that I had still been mentally keeping track of it and every time I had ocs I liked that didn’t fit wherever I was going to add them to, I would add them to A.K.O.W.

Then I stopped mentally keeping track of everything during a breakdown I had at the start of the pandemic and I hadn’t saved anything (even after losing the first outline) because I learned nothing. Because I’m an idiot. But that’s why I’m making this post!! To hopefully encourage me to get back to this and actually write Shit down this time.

Now, I think, based on my memory, it was originally an apocalyptic story, and A.K.O.W. was full of fighters who’d go fight off the antagonists to save the remainders of Humanity

The antagonists were aliens invading earth, then I lost the outline, and also started to become eh about alien horror stories, so A.K.O.W. switched to being a PvP thing where all members of it would just go and fight each other whenever they wanted

A.K.O.W. (Full name being “Ass Kickers On Wheels”, yeah that was its name in the apocalypse version of the story too), had very limited rules for who could join:

You had to be over 18, you had to actually be willing to fight (none of this joining for street cred then never actually battling anyone), and you had to be on wheels (it could be any kind of wheels, skates, bikes, scooters, wheelchairs, heelies, etc)

Really quickly tho, despite it being in the name and it being in the rules, the organization started accepting people who didn’t technically have “wheels”, like people on hoverboards that actually hover, which is the main source of tension in the group

I used to have so many fleshed out ocs for this, there had to be an oc for every type of wheel thing, but then there also had to be groups for every type of wheel thing, now I can only fully remember 3 of them and 2 of them I vaguely remember 😭 (so many ocs,,, just gone,,,)

The three I fully remember were the 3 best fighters, the first was a roller derby fighter, I forget their name but it was a cutesy name, and their derby outfit was kind of “cutesy”, a lot of pink and hearts on it, and this fighter was sorta short with a bit of a baby face, and they were actually wearing the correct skating gear, like the knee pads and helmet

And they had the worst anger issues of the group

Their design was meant to be misleading to startle people when this character suddenly lunged at them with the anger of 1000 suns and a bat they used to beat the shit out of people

They were a part of a roller derby group who had beef with an ice skater group (because there’s no wheels on ice skates) but I can’t remember anyone from their group 😭

Anyways this character stood out for their anger issues and their (almost) undefeated fight record, they fought their way to number 3 top fighter out of hundreds of fighters

Above them, and the breakers of their record, is the top 2 fighters who are on a completely other level from everyone else, like yeah there’s a ton of group fighters, but none quite like these two who fight like an extension of each other (because they started off as Soul Eater ocs) and they’re also amazing fighters in their own right

Their names are Grim & The Reaper, they like to fight with people about their names (“Shouldn’t it be “The Grim & Reaper” so it can be like “The Grim Reaper”?” “No. Fuck you. I’m “The Reaper,” and they’re “Grim.””)

The Reaper goes by he/him pronouns, is a tall dude with a skeleton crop top and a large coat that looks like a cloak, has an easy going attitude, is a chatterbox, and likes to mess with the derby character from before, as The Reaper uses an actual hover board and it makes the derby character so mad that they don’t have actual wheels, he also uses a scythe to fight (he used to be a scythe when he was a soul eater oc)

Grim goes by they/them pronouns, has built up their reputation to be mysterious and visibly scary to people (they’re actually just nonverbal most of the time and if people are too scared to talk to them then they don’t have to talk), they’re on the shorter side and built like a wall, I forget what wheels they used to have, but their thing had actual wheels so they get along with the derby character, and they have spiked gloves to fight with (if I remember correctly, they also used to be a weapon and them and The Reaper would just keep switching places in battle to make it harder to fight), they also got the all black clothes going on

Now for the two characters I only vaguely remember: the leader of the ice skaters, and the character on that scooter with 3 wheels

So, again, the roller derby character wasn’t the leader of their group, but they were the best fighter, and so the leader of the ice skaters would target them, and I think they were sorta the opposite of the derby fighter? Like they were tall and lanky, and instead of a fiery anger they had a cold type of anger to them

And then 3 wheels scooter guy, I think they were mostly a part of the group for street cred so they hardly ever fought, had kind of a lazy attitude, and would always scoot in to fights v late when they were almost over with a cold drink in hand, is also a self declared friend of the derby character? (Derby character does not claim them as a friend)

God so much info lost, but at least Derby, Grim, and The Reaper made it!

Soul Powers :D (this is all over the place, forgive me ;;, also I’m not going for anything too scientific, I mean these people have powers that are projections of their souls lol, so I’m not too concerned about biological accuracy, cut me some slack)

The people living in my oc’s world have developed soul powers as a strange form of evolution. Millenniums ago, their ancestors started to develop powers to help survive. They had a harder time surviving in this harsh world than the prehistoric animals did. The animals had evolved in ways that made them masters of their environments and can survive the harsh nature rather easily, so their souls never developed soul powers. The ancestral people evolved more through their souls. These powers were used to help each other, since the prehistoric people lived in groups. The powers started off as the basics. Basic elemental powers (water, fire, air, and earth), flight, night vision, basically anything that helped with survival (fire helped with warmth, flight helped with navigation, night vision helped seeing any dangers others might not). The powers are just an extension of the soul, so soul powers like fire or water aren’t actually fire or water. Just soul energy with fire or water like features if that makes sense. Water powers, for example, isn’t actually h2O, but it could still cleanse, refresh, and cool one down in the heat. From there, while the people have comfortable lives in present times and don’t have to worry about the harsh weather or predators as much, the soul powers continued to evolve and vary. They’re still used regularly so they never went away.

Soul powers used to be able to be categorized but nowadays they’re so varied that some are hard to categorize. Below is a list of the basic categories:

- Elemental: soul energy that shares properties and features with the natural elements. (fire, lightning, plants, toxins, etc)

- Vision Based: soul energy that affects one’s sight of the surrounding area and the things in it. (night vision, being able to see things too far for the naked eye (don’t have a good name for that one atm), “x-ray” vision, etc)

- Additional Appendages: soul energy that attaches to the users body. (flight, spikes, protective “shells”, etc)

- Weaponry: soul energy that appears and can be used as weapons. (swords, whips, bullets, maces, etc)

- Psychological: soul energy that involves one’s mind. (alternate universe perception, visual manipulation (hallucinations), perceiving different outcomes of a current action (don’t have a good name for that one atm), etc)

- Physical Manipulation: soul energy that affects artificial/organic/etc things. (crushing something, levitating something, fixing/healing (only works with open wounds, so medical stuff is still necessary when it comes to broken bones and other thing like that; fixing refers to inanimate objects, idk a good word that encompasses both things), making something “melt”, etc).

Though, as already stated, there are many that aren’t easily categorized; like creating platforms, creating “shadow” arms (aren’t attached to the body), being able to visualize your thoughts (not considered to be visual based or psychological as other people can see it, best way to describe it is how Pearl from su can make holographic demonstrations of things, or that one meme of the woman seeing a bunch of equations), and many many others. Making new categories aren’t very important to the people tho but some do find it a little fun and new categories are being made but as of rn these powers that don’t fit any of them are commonly considered as “other”.

It is impossible to not have a soul power though soul conditions do exist. They’re rare but some people can have their power “leak” more than normal or not enough. Whether or not this is a problem is dependent on what the power is. Mike has the “leaks more” condition and also has lightning as his soul power. This means he doesn’t need as much effort to create certain amounts of “electricity” as someone who doesn’t have this condition. This causes problems for him since it leaks when he feels strong emotions (fear, rage, sorrow, excitement, etc) and can potentially shock someone. But if, say, Aroma had this condition or the “not enough” condition, it won’t affect her nearly as much since her power (au perception) doesn’t physically hurt anyone and can’t be used in combat anyway. The way her power works is to look into select relating memories of a consenting person to see what could have been. These conditions would just affect how many memories she can see (either not enough so she can’t see enough “alternate timelines” or more than necessary and sees more “alternate timelines” than the ones she would initially be trying to see, it all depends on the amount of effort she’d put into it). note: Aroma’s power is a great example of the fact that soul powers aren’t just for survival anymore and have become much more varied.

Some additional things: Soul powers share the same color as the user’s soul and eyes since they’re projections of the soul. If two people share the same power, it doesn’t mean they’re related (example, if someone has lightning powers, it doesn’t mean they’re a blood relative of Mike). However, soul powers are inherited from a parent (Ashton got his from Scarlet, Bridey got hers from her mom (she still doesn’t have a name yet), Mike got his from his dad, etc). Sometimes the offspring can share the same power with a parent but with a minor difference that adds something new enough to the power (this is how new types of powers can be made, they’re kinda like common genetic mutations I guess). Example: if someone has a sword power and they have a kid and that kid has a mutation like this, their sword could be a double edged sword. It’s similar enough since it’s inherited from a parent but different enough that it’s considered a separate power. Someone can’t use their power right away as a kid. People can be able to use their powers and find out what they are at ages around 7-9 years. A power can only be used when it’s “activated”, when someone activates their soul power, they’re eyes glow more intensely (everyone who has eyes have a constant subtle glow to them due to the eyes’ connection with the soul).

ye, like, i like iris but i also can’t deny a lot of of what i like abt her are extensions of what little they give her

(for example idk in olgierd’s love letter he mentioned she liked singing bawdy songs to him while they drank from the same bottle and fucked around in that pub in oxenfurt till dawn or sth, which i find really cute and then i hc she’s actually more playful and laid back than she lets on in the game; not always the prim and proper princess that she appears. and i love the idea that she can be her true self around him, that he’s her enabler for those raunchy behaviors lol.)

i agree things might have turned out much much better if she listened to olgierd when he told her to elope with him—that’s a smaller sacrifice than selling ur soul to the devil lol, but then again, i also don’t resent her for not being willing to abandon her family cuz that’s totally valid. plus in such a dire situation it’s not always easy to make a right judgement anyway lol.

i dont quite get what ur referring to when you said “they never spoke about what happened.” if u mean the pact, she’s definitely aware of it because she told geralt (albeit in an optional dialogue iirc?) that she asked olgierd to wish for immortality for both of them. so ye she’s aware of the content of the pact (but we don’t know to what extent did olgierd tell her.)

i know i know im also constantly wondering why the fuck ppl don’t write more fics for him lmao. but i guess it’s bc fanfics by nature thrives more on unsatisfying executions of stories, and olgierd’s story imo (and i would say in many other ppl’s opinion) is pretty cleanly executed and kinda has no loose ends so it’s not like ppl are itching to fix it or fill in the gaps lol.

im reading a pretty dope (albeit a work-in-progress) fic tho which explores his life post-tw3. he’s not a main character and not a plot-driver in any way but the plot itself is really good and im enjoying the spicy slow burn gay romance (?) he’s having with a main character (who is an oc) 🥵 oh and he goes by a different identity too. just putting this out there in case anyone is interested.

Introduction to Salem (my deltarune oc)

because i really wanna post about her hsdgjshbdsfhj

info under the cut bc this is gonna be long as FUCK I have a lot to say about my daughter...please read it tho

first things first, her name is Salem and I first made her on my second run of deltarune when I decided to name my vessel properly (on my first run i made the vessel’s name my own since the instructions confused me a tad, haha.)

this is what she looks like in-game. here’s a sprite recreation of the above sprite cuz its kinda unclear (plus a pixel vers)

I didn’t flesh her out until may 2020 though, and since then she’s gone through all sortsa development. the first thing I did was try to make her design stand out from being a basic vessel while still keeping true to the nature of it, if that makes sense.

this is my first ever drawings of her- some minor things have changed as i’ve drawn her. here’s her current design!

as well as her sprite (plus the pixel vers)

she has a dark world form and a “beta” design (aka her in-game design just with a face) but I've shown enough designs for now.

Her backstory is that, after being discarded, she was saved and brought to life by Gaster. He acts as her father figure (she literally calls him father, since in a way he is bc bringing her to life and all that) and she holds him in very high regard. They live together in the void, however Salem can leave and I’m going to explain why in a bit.

Her purpose as a vessel is to house the player’s soul. That purpose was taken from her at the beginning of the game as we all know, and she’s determined to get it back by any means necessary. How she does this is she basically goes down to hometown and/or the dark world to antagonize/attack Kris to get the soul out of them. She hates them for this reason.

Of course, she’s more like a saturday morning cartoon villain than an actual threat to them. She tries her hardest but can never really get their soul. She keeps trying though. The only thing that could divert her from attempting to fulfill her purpose would have to be a genuine change of heart.

Personalitywise, She’s actually very proper and polite to people she’s not actively trying to steal the soul of. Gaster raised her with proper manners! Despite this, she’s also very sassy and not afraid to speak her mind. Also shes not above saying swear words because I think its funny lmao

Her powers are as follows:

Teleportation - Allows her to get to and from the void. she can teleport to places she knows, but not people, and she can teleport small items with her if she’s holding them but not other people, hence why Gaster can’t use her to escape.

Hovering - Salem can hover a few feet off the ground for a limited amount of time. It’s not exactly flight, since it’s loosely derived from Gaster’s ability to control his detached hands (technically a form of hovering). It’s more just so she can look intimidating and cool. Originally, she didn’t have this, but one day I sprite edited a pose that looked like she was hovering and decided it would be cool lmao

Gaster Blasters- Since they’re named after her dad, I figured I’d give them to her. However, I’ve been debating recently on whether to keep them or not, since I don’t want her being too similar to Sans power-wise and he’s the only place in the game we see them. It’s iffy for now, so we’ll see.

Fun facts!

She has a wrench she uses as her main weapon. I tend to forget this fact, but it’s very important. (If I do get rid of the blaster power, she’d use this as primarily, since right now she prefers to use the blasters as a ranged attack. That said she does love to bonk people w the wrench, namely Kris she hits them with it a lot)

Physically, she is the same age as the fun gang (Since I headcanon Kris, Susie, and Ralsei to be 17, she would be 17 as well, however if you headcanon them to be younger she’s essentially just aged to match them. At the very least her and Kris are always physically the same age.) Mentally, though, it’s kinda complicated. She’s as smart as her physical age in the sense she’s able to use logic and wit, however her knowledge of the world is less than a toddlers. If you asked her what something normal like, say, grass was, she would not know. She would be confused as fuck. She could best someone at chess but the second you ask her what a movie theatre is she becomes all questions

She’s naturally very curious. Maybe because she has so little knowledge of the world or maybe because she was raised by Gaster to have a scientific mind, but she just wants to know EVERYTHING about the world around her. When she’s not focused on antagonizing Kris and their friends all the time, she’s usually out exploring and studying things, trying to expand her knowledge.

Gaster forgot if he taught her how to read and write or not and at this point he’s too afraid to find out.

In truth, Gaster’s better at being a scientist than a dad. He tries to act fatherly towards Salem but most of the time ends up treating her more like a lab assistant. She doesn’t mind as long as he pays attention to her, but it’s still not exactly good for her development.

I headcanon Gaster is ambiguously related to the skelebros, so by extension Salem is related to them as well. He’s told her to respect them. (She gets along with Papyrus, but Sans gets on her nerves sometimes.)

Chap. 1 of CONTRACT KILLER: Oc x Natasha Romanoff

I’m pretty sure this is gonna be the first fanfic I’ve ever posted, and I’m honestly wondering why it had to be one about everyone’s favorite insanely hot ginger (not complaining tho).

This story isn’t meant to take itself too seriously. This first chap. is a bit of a slow start, but their relationship will get off the ground quickly from here, so don’t worry. Thank u, and enjoy! :P

Summary: Jean Holiday is a paid mercenary known as Indigo. Or, in some other cases, ‘SHIELD’s Biggest Pain in the Ass’. And by extension of that, she’s Agent Natasha Romanoff’s biggest pain in the ass.

Although she knows Romanoff is the last enemy she should be fraternizing with, Jean can’t help but to want to get to know her when she catches her at a bar. Romanoff, ignorant to the fact that this charming stranger is actually one of her most begrudged targets, slowly starts to let her into her life.

---Holiday Season---

Takes place a year before the events of 'The Avengers' in 2008.

"Agent Romanoff," Coulson greeted the assassin as the doors slid open, and in walked SHIELD's best. He'd called her early this morning, so there'd be less people to get in her way once she was released and sent off. After all, she'd need as much time for preparation as she could get for this next mission.

"Coulson," Natasha replied with a nod, "So. Who is it today?" The assassin crossed her arms over her chest and flitted between Coulson and the hologram board. With an echoey click, an all too familiar masked face popped up on the screen.

The Black Widow found herself staring down a black mask and golden-rimmed glasses that hid eyes that twinkled with amusement. It was a bit of a messy photo, since they'd only been able to capture it through Natasha's body cam on her last go-around with the target.

Natasha let out a groan, and rolled her eyes. The source behind most of her headaches, and all three of her only failed missions' name was splayed offensively across the top of the board.

Indigo. A mercenary for hire. There hadn't been a hit of her's anyone had managed to intervene. Due to such, she was officially one of SHIELD's most consistent and colossal pains in the ass.

"How long have we been after her?" She asked.

"Going on three years," Coulson replied, pursing his lips, "But our boys think they got an inkling on her. Her next target should be," the screen switched to a picture of a man, "James Wagner. The senator of Florida. You're familiar?"

Natasha nodded. "Weren't there rape charges pressed against him just last year?" She recalled.

"Correct. But they were dropped," Coulson replied, watching as the gears in Natasha's head turned. "Interesting, isn't it? None of Indigo's targets have hands bare of any blood. Allegedly, at least." Coulson took a file from the glass table and held it out to the assassin.

"Allegedly," Natasha repeated as she started to skim through the folder. "Well, would you look at that," she drawled, "We know absolutely nothing more about her than we did three years ago."

"Well, we did finally figure out she was female last year," Coulson said with a sardonic smile.

Natasha snorted. "You finally figured out she was a female, Coulson," she said as she closed the folder.

"Whatever," he quickly dismissed, "Anyways. Feel free to use whatever means that are necessary. Dead or alive, it doesn't matter." Coulson leaned forward and opened his mouth like he wanted to go on, but stopped himself short.

Natasha raised a brow slowly. "And…?"

"I'd prefer her alive," Coulson said.

"Of course you would."

"Look, it's your call. But you don't know. We might have another Black Widow on our hands," he said, smiling and giving her the 'huh, huh?' hand gesture like a car salesman.

"In that case, guess I have to kill her," Natasha replied with a crooked smile, tucking the file away. No discount versions of herself would be crawling around SHIELD HQ. Not on her watch. "See you when I get back, Coulson."

"Be careful out there, Romanoff. And good luck."

The crowd was big enough that I was well-hidden, but not so large that I couldn't make my escape. Wagner was wrapping up his speech now, smiling and waving at his "fans" as he started down the steps. He'd just made another one of his empty promises to the state of Florida, calling for support and unity. Whether or not he intended to keep it this time around, nobody would ever know.

Ten bodyguards surrounded him. My client had told me to use any means necessary to reach Wagner, but the bodyguards weren't the ones raping underage girls (hopefully). I'd already made a plan beforehand, and quickly went over it as Wagner and his guards neared the side of the parted crowd I was standing on.

I suddenly became very aware of the knife in my jacket and the volatile smoke bombs tucked in my sleeve. They weighed heavily on my being, as if the objects of my assassination themselves were telling me to back off. Something was wrong. Someone who wasn't supposed to be here was here.

It almost felt like I was the prey.

But Wagner's eyes meeting mine snatched me from my doubts. I'd already pulled my mask and hood up, and assumed the identity of a killer. And he wasn't so stupid as to not recognize that.

Wagner's eyes widened, and he opened his mouth to scream Bloody Mary at his bodyguards. I darted out from within the folds of the crowd, and threw the smoke bombs down.

Enough smoke to obscure the entire block went up, and I flipped the fog vision of my glasses on.

Screaming came from all directions, and the crowd turned near animalistic as it started to stampede away, all of them trying to escape the danger that the persona of Indigo could bring.

The bodyguards yelled for Wagner and flailed around uselessly. I prowled up to one of them, and pulled him into a chokehold from behind. His body started to shake and jump, like his soul was trying to make its escape without the rest of him as he suffocated in silence.

"Sorry, friend. Guess you're taking a pay cut," I whispered to him as I lowered his now-unconscious body to the ground.

I made quick, methodical work of the rest of them in a similar fashion. The panic amongst them as their numbers dwindled steadily rose, and their yells for anyone who could hear them became more desperate as comrades were formulaically silenced.

Now standing in the middle of the sea of burly bodies in fetal positions was Wagner himself. I didn't bother to quiet my footsteps now, and watched with a smile as he jumped away from the sound.

"Thought you'd be running by now," I said, unsheathing my knife and letting that unmistakable sound of its reveal ring in the air.

"Leave me alone!" Wagner screeched, "Leave me alone, you hear me?! You ruined my goddamn speech! You goddamn- ugh…!"

My curved blade had shot out from the smoke and found Wagner's chest. I put a hand on Wagner's shoulder like you would an old friend, and pulled him closer to me, and further up on the blade.

"Ugh…!"

I clicked my tongue and shook my head. "Shouldn't have touched the girl, James," I whispered. I let the hilt of the blade go as Wagner's eyes went wide at the realization of why his fate had been sealed, and his body went limp with that final revelation. His body hit the ground with a 'thud', as heavy and unfeeling as he'd been in life.

The assassination was complete. But the mission wouldn't be over until I'd completely evaded the law.

I checked my watch. The smoke wouldn't completely lift for another minute or two. But there were advanced units around with fog vision goggles. I could make my way to the safe house without being followed, so long as I acted qui-

"There you are," a woman's gritty voice said behind me. Like a church hymn, I knew it immediately.

Romanoff.

I grinned underneath my mask. Of all the dogs SHIELD sent my way, she was always the best. No doubt, she'd force me to make a few changes to my escape plan. But if it meant a good spar, I was down.

"It's been a minute, Romanoff," I said. Instead of a verbal reply, I got two gunshots sent my way. She could see me.

I slipped my head to the side and watched the bullets whizz by, then turned to face Agent Romanoff. The smoke seemed to part for her as she launched herself at me, all red fury and SHIELD discipline.

“I’m ready to finally settle the score if you are,” she said, a shadow of a smirk on her face, almost like she was having just as much fun as me.

I made a face beneath my mask. “You’re down three, Agent,” I said in the tone you used with an idiotic little sibling.

Her leg slammed into my arm as I blocked what could've been a rib-breaker. I shoved her back so the smoke enveloped her, but she bounced right back forward at me, not missing a beat. She whipped her leg out twice, beating down on my defense with full abandon.

Every kick she sent my way was like a piston slamming into my body. Mechanical. Unfeeling. Sometimes it didn't matter if I blocked it, it still hurt like hell.

“C’mon, you got anything new?” I asked as I ducked and weaved around her kicks and punches.

Agent Romanoff took a break for herself after another kick only hit air, while I danced around like we were in a boxing match instead of a real-life fight. “You talk a lot,” she huffed in between ragged breaths.

“Just trying to catch up with an old friend,” I said, raising my hands placatingly.

“Ew.”

I heard the tell-tale sign of a gun being cocked, and weaved around three bullets as they made their way towards me. Black Widow soon followed after the bullets, coming for my neck with all the means to kill.

I grunted and then chuckled as she kicked me squarely in the stomach, making me stagger back a good several feet. My breakfast nearly came up right then.

The onslaught paused. "Surrender now, and I won't kill you," she warned. A red light flashed before my eyes, and I found a laser dot resting on my chest.

"You know, that’s more of a friendly greeting to me nowadays," I said. She pulled the trigger in reply. I darted out of the way. But instead of the explosive bullet I expected, the projectile expanded into an electrical net. I guess she figured out by now that bullets to me were a drunk man's swings to Muhammad Ali.

"Shit," I growled as I watched it expand, and pulled the wakizashi off my back to cut through it just in time to save my ass.

But I didn't get away from it completely unscathed, as one of the energized ends of the net still brushed against the exposed skin on my wrist. My heart seemed to launch itself around my chest cavity, beating sporadically as I cried out to maintain myself.

I threw the net away with a sweep of my short sword, and tried to regulate my heartbeat again. But Agent Romanoff wasn't about to allow me that convenience.

A flash of black and red flew through the air, coming for my neck. A pair of legs wrapped around me, and started to squeeze the ever-living fuck out of my throat. I grasped at them with a desperate gasp, and made the mistake of dropping my sword. A thin, but solid cord joined Romanoff's legs, which she wrapped around my neck and pulled. My vision went dark at the ends, and I could feel that real, raw fight or flight instinct starting to creep up. I grabbed and clawed at her legs uselessly, and muttered out several, “shit, shit, shit”s.

“You gonna tap?” Agent Romanoff taunted, as if me tapping would bring mercy. I choked out a muffled “fuck you” against the kevlar and leather of her suit.

Not gonna lie, suffocating between Black Widow's thighs wouldn't have been a terrible way to go out. But I was determined to get that paycheck I was promised.

I felt Agent Romanoff yank me around as she tried to slam me into the ground, where I'd all but have my fate sealed if it were to happen. With a laboring burst of strength, I let out a growl and reared back, then slammed Romanoff into the ground. I heard her wheeze as the wind completely exited her body.

In a moment of weakness not unlike my own, Romanoff was completely open to a killing strike as she struggled for air. I didn't give her any grace, instead closing my fingers around her throat. As her eyes widened and she grasped at my hand, I unsheathed the knife in my left hand, where it sat dangerously close to Romanoff's right side.

"I really should kill you," I said in a tone that was more for asking what she wanted for dinner than threatening homicide.

Even as she stared one of death's finest agents in the face, her blood dribbling down her forehead and drops of mine landing on her brow, Agent Romanoff remained defiant. Emerald green eyes narrowed and glared harshly at me.

"Then do it."

I shook my head, the decision made before I’d even said anything.

In one swift movement, I flipped my knife around and jabbed her twice with the hilt, right in her liver. Even the world's best assassin couldn't go against her body. And the body wasn't going to get up after a liver shot.

I stood up and watched as Agent Romanoff cried out, then folded in on herself from the pain.

"Anticlimactic, huh?" I said as I twirled my knife twice before sheathing it, "That was fun, Agent Romanoff. I'll see you next time." She replied with a pained groan, and continued to writhe on the ground amongst the bodyguards I’d taken out before.

And with that, I hastily made my escape. I could hear the law approaching now, but once they got here, all they'd find was a bruised and defeated Black Widow.

The score was now Natasha Romanoff: 0, and Jean Holiday: 4.

Last film watched: Last I saw in theaters was Rise of Skywalker, which ... i kinda want my money back. I think the last film I watched in general though was ... John Wick? I think?

Favorite TV show watched: Ergh I don’t... really... watch things. Like at all. I could just cop out and say Stargate SG-1 or Stargate Atlantis, but like. That’s something I grew up with, not really a favorite by deliberate choice. I’d say Gurren Lagann, maybe, but hmm. It was The 100 right up until they killed Lexa... that was a couple years ago... Neon Genesis Evangelion was extremely formative for me, but I’m not sure I’d say it was a favorite.

Favorite OC: [nervous laughter] I thought I had this figured out. Uhhh okay so it’s ... kind of a toss up between about four, given my mood.

Karla is my oldest OC, who’s had the most extensive work done. She’s actually about 14 years old now, and the most growth. She’s for an original story that I’ve had bouncing around in my head for just as long. She’s the Soul of a World, given human(ish) form. A lot of her character arcs revolve around her learning to care again, and realize that life is worth living, and that life is worth loving too. She’s quiet, but also sarcastic and funny, and kinda relentless in her kindness. But she also falls under the “good is not soft” category.

Strikefire is Karla’s lover. Originally she didn’t have much depth, as she existed mostly in conjunction to Karla. She was actually killed off a few years before the story starts, and then later it’s revealed that she’s the goddess of Death, simply taken mortal form. Aaaand that’s about as far as I got. It wasn’t until I started Triptych with two of my friends that she really started being fleshed out into a character. Strikey is a woman who is, largely, defined by her grief and loneliness, of losing those she’s cared for, to war or famine or time, and firmly believes that every life has value. She’s this cutsey tiny woman who intentionally puts on facade of being not as invested in what’s going on as she actually is, and she’s also a bit of a troll just for the sake of it.

Aiden is kind of ... my oddest oc? I specifically designed him to be able to fit into any world, any universe, whatever. He’s a danger magnet, generally voluntarily mute, long raven black hair, and bitingly sarcastic. He was an Angel of Silence in the heavens, in service to the god of Silence, but he was cast out of heaven when his lover made him laugh. Ever since then, he’s been cursed to wander the cosmos, constantly reborn. He has a mark on his soul that labels him as an oathbreaker, basically forcing his random encounter rate up to 85%. In universe people don’t like him, generally. Right now I’ve been having a lot of fun sticking him into Assassin’s Creed and seeing how that works out. It’s great.

Helisent is one of my three main ocs for Final Fantasy XIV, and I talk/post about them a lot over at @thecat-inthehat so go give that a look. As for why she’s one of my rotating cast of faves-- she’s like. Just a fun oc to work with, with lore and shipping, and I can comfortably throw her into almost any situation and have it turn out great. She’s a fun loving person, with a care free nature, but also has her own issues to work through. She’s kinda similar to Karla, now that I think about it, but she doesn’t have the cosmic destiny weight behind her, she’s just.. a person.

Sweet, spicy, or savory: Spicy!!! I love spice, and I’m annoyed that where I live now doesn’t have the right kind of spicy. I also like savory, but generally if I have a choice, I’ll go for spice.

Sparkling water, coffee, or tea: Uhhh I drink coffee and tea on the daily. However the tea I drink is iced, sweetened, so I’m not sure if that falls under the category. Of the two, I generally prefer coffee tho. Eyes my triple toffee nut lattes. Basically if it’s cold, iced tea. If it’s hot, coffee.

Pets: This is Mittens! She’s got scar freckles on her nose and eyes, and she’s a Certified Diva. She likes to cause trouble, and she climbs under the covers to lie between my legs every night, and if she can’t, she’ll claw at my blanket until I lift it up. She’s kinda chunky, but I’m working on slimming her down some. Thankfully feeding her wet food seems to help.

re: that last hp ask i got

i know i said i wouldn’t be cross-posting my bellamort/dark au/riddle fam headcanons from twitter but i’ve decided to post a lengthy updated masterpost here after all so ENJOY bon apetit

1. see the thing is that 90% of my hcs can’t be described with words bc they’re just.. feelings.. aesthetics.. vibes.. vague scenarios that make me feel some sort of way… the dark au has a certain Feel and i just stick a bunch of domestic concepts in there and shake it all up and that’s it shshsh

2. disclaimer: im like 75% sure my self indulgent ramblings won’t make sense so sorry about that

3. i was fully serious that one time i said on twitter that voldemort’s no.1 priority after taking over the wizarding world was doing sth about his snace (snake face) so yeah. first things first he’s not as fugly in the dark au. as mentioned previously he just looks like mr. ralph and probably wears ornate haute couture power suits

4. the public doesn’t actually know who the augurey is for YEARS… they know whoever it is is voldemort’s second in command and sure there’s rumors that he has an heir but nobody knows it’s delphi. this way she doesn’t have to be reclusive and hide away, she just lives her life, studies and trains, masters the art of dark magic, hangs around town etc, and no one suspects anything bc who would think this tiny super friendly innocent looking girl is the dark lord’s kid — her identity isn’t revealed until she’s deemed Ready to publicly take up her position. and when she is revealed it’s a Big Moment bc she’s a drama queen and lives for attention

5. delphi is taller than bellatrix

6. speaking of bellatrix. she’s presumed dead after the battle of hogwarts which turns out to be a cool bonus for the dark side. any leftover resistance? she’ll take care of that and they’ll never see her coming. tbh this seems a lot cooler in my head bc movie bellatrix would not be stealthy enough to stay hidden for years she would probs trip over something and accidentally commit arson within a few days. but yeah sneaky assassin sounds sexy. plus to be super honest i imagine bella is a teensy bit more collected than in the films... no shade at helena y’all know i would die for her but there are in fact things i would change about her bella. so yeah for a while the only people who know she’s alive aside from her immediate family are probs rod and the malfoys

7. hm so. the malfoys…. much to think about. narcissa did lie to voldemort’s face during the battle so logically he should have killed her the moment he realized she knew harry was alive all along. but this is a soft dark au so let’s pretend bellatrix was like hey dude don’t kill my sister maybe and voldemort was like k. i mean no harm done, harry potter is properly dead in this universe after all

8. but seriously tho. the only reason voldemort didn’t yeet narcissa into a wall was for bella’s sake. he’s nice like that, he probably promised her at one point that he wouldn’t violently murder her family. peak romance

9. delphi is surprisingly close with both her parents although with voldemort it’s more of a mentor-student relationship than a parent-child one bc he’s Like That. growing up it was always bella who insisted they treat delphi more like a child and less like a weapon and voldemort wasn’t always happy about that bc he’s emotionally constipated and also never had a childhood. also he’s, like, evil. so yes, reminding voldemort that delphi was her daughter too sometimes got bella in trouble bc we all know of voldemort’s superiority issues. but no bella didn’t stop insisting that delphi deserved an actual childhood and in the end they compromised like functional adults and delphi turned out pretty well for someone raised by 2 of the most terrifying people alive

10. but yeah that’s not to say voldemort and kid delphi never had soft moments. they did. he even picked her up every once in a while. everyone was surprised, bella most of all. she probably cried in the bathroom later bc the softness overwhelmed her. i’m not sure if i mean that in a sarcastic shitpost kind of way or if she was really moved to tears. y’all decide for yourselves

11. delphi looks very very much like bella but she has tom riddley eyes.. so dark they’re nearly black. and soulless. maybe they even flash red when she’s enraged. and she has very aristocratic very controlled tom riddley mannerisms. it’s not until you piss her off and she goes off the rails that the bella side of her personality kicks in

12. delphi gets along really well with the malfoys (except lucius. she thinks he’s pathetic and likes to tease him. in a friendly way but it’s still harsh. she gets that from her mom) esp scorp. scorp thinks this makes him cool at school bc he gets to fist bump the augurey and not get murdered for it

13. speaking of hogwarts. umbridge is scared shitless of delphi and it’s always a school-wide spectacle when the augurey drops by unexpectedly on official business and umbridge starts stuttering and quivering. scorp sometimes makes a point to approach umbridge and delphi when they’re talking and act all chummy-chummy with his cousin just to make himself look powerful and Cool in front of umbridge and the other students

14. i still don’t know whether voldemort would call delphi ‘delphini’ or just ‘delphi’… i imagine he’s a strict stick-up-his-ass kinda father but who knows. he does call bellatrix ‘bella’ but that’s different i guess

15. but THEN AGAIN he does have a gigantic soft spot for delphi too. maybe he slips up every so often and calls her delphi. i’m literally making this shit up as i go along i’m just smashing my mf keyboard and occasionally glancing at my messy hcs notebook. I TOLD YALL i don’t have solid hcs i just have VIBES and AESTHETICS. the only way you’ll get specific hcs out of me is if you ask very specific questions

16. weirdest brotp is delphi and rodolphus. nobody knows where that came from but they get along so well and it confuses everybody

17. we been knew that bella is batshit crazy and criminally insane or whatever but against all odds she is a surprisingly good mother. she’s always been soft for family (narcissa etc) so it makes sense that she would legit die for delphi. they have this super casual bantery relationship YALL GET ME bella is so proud of delphi she’s literally that “my little baby off to destroy people” meme!!! honestly mother-daughter relationships are my goddamn weakness i would die for the two of them

18. delphi has a gf (underdeveloped oc time!) who, for the longest time, doesn’t know who she is dating bc delphi is obviously not allowed to say. she finds out the truth eventually and she is properly freaked out for a very very long time. and since all of these hcs are stupidly soft we’re just gonna keep making them softer: the gf is terrified of delphi’s parents at first (obvs) but they’re both extremely fond of her (well, bella is, voldemort probs doesn’t care all that much about who delphi is dating so long as she’s not of subpar blood status or secretly spying for the opposition ya know. as long as delphi trusts her he does too)

19. no but really voldemort trusts delphi and bella implicitly. with delphi it’s bc he raised her and he trusts her to be loyal bc she knows no other way, she was meant to be an extension of his power etc. but with bella it’s something he learns over time, to trust her judgement bc despite her many many flaws she’s very perceptive and usually right

20. voldemort probably makes more horcruxes. still haven’t decided how this ties in with the fact that he’s now safely immortal again and neither delphi nor bella are. who knows maybe they all do the do and split their souls. much to think about. feel free to send ur thots and ideas my way

21. ya know im basic and always on my bellamort bs and therefore: as the years go by voldemort warms up to bella. not that he wasn’t already extremely fond of her before but he kicks it up a notch. i mean, he’s already taken over the world so it’s high time to start experimenting with other wilder things like Feelings. 80/90 years old isn’t too late to experience Love or whatever. might as well wake up one day and realize you’re completely and utterly in love with the woman you’ve spent the last 50+ years with whew. LIKE to be fair bella knows him better than anyone — they understand each other, they’re familiar with each other’s likes, dislikes, mannerisms, nervous tics etc etc. let’s be real it freaked voldemort out at first, being vulnerable to any degree (not that he let it show) but it just became so easy to tell her things that it became a natural thing to do. and obvs he trusts her to keep everything between them and never judge him for anything so that’s sweet

22. y’all keep asking me for domestic hcs but what can i possibly say?? imagine literally any domestic scenario ever and just think bellamort and i’ve probably imagined that same scenario before. except its sexier bc the world is dark and evil and they live in a dark gloomy super fancy manor. so we have these 2 goths right but they’re in love but in that casual familiar way YALL GET ME and sometimes they even drink coffee together in the mornings or like. do that thing where Person A returns from work late at night and its dark and raining and Person B is already home just chilling and they don’t even have to talk they just go about their nighttime routine but it’s soft and familiar and COMFORTABLE. i clearly dont have enough softness in my life i just. love domestic scenarios bye

23. i forgot everything else i wanted to write bc i got distracted by domesticity. im also thinking about how voldemort absolutely despises the thought of any pda but he’ll take bella by the wrist in public every so often when he wants to get her attention, or like. put his hand on her back. small things but oh so soft

24. hhhh okay i have a LOT to say about the power fam’s fashion choices but it’s hard to explain without pictures. i have a wholeass ppt presentation but i’m not about to upload 20+ slides to tumblr. but i seriously was not kidding when i said voldemort wears fancy suits and yes i have references. meanwhile delphi is a fan of feathers but mostly goes with lowkey military-style outfits.. she’s practical yet ostentatious. bella sticks to a conservative yet undeniably sexy selection of evil looking dresses.. i should make all of these into pinterest boards hmm

25. controversial opinion but i think delphi knows she and voldemort are half bloods. so does bella but that’s a whole other story, she been knew. anyhow yeah delphi was told the truth bc it was better for her to find out from the source rather than hear rumors from the opposition and begin to distrust the foundations of voldemort’s whole empire and voldemort himself

26. i used to absolutely hate fics where bella would eventually call voldemort by his name but now im like FUCK THAT we don’t do guilty pleasures anymore we just stan ridiculous things and that’s that. one day voldemort had a Thought (shocking, i know) and was like. Hm so we have a wholeass child and we’re basically married maybe bella shouldn’t have to call me My Lord for the rest of her life. BUT ONLY IN PRIVATE. THATS BETWEEN THE TWO OF THEM it’s nobody’s business. It Is Nobody’s Business

27. speaking of marriage. bella and rod got divorced a few years after the battle. it was just a formality tho let’s be real. they remained very close friends tho!!!!!!!! i think that’s an unpopular opinion among bellamort stans but i genuinely believe bella and rod were always close the way best friends or family are ya know. rod really loves bella but as long as she’s happy he’s happy even if it means her fucking the dark lord on the reg or whatever

28. going back to #6 — when the public finally finds out that bella’s alive they obviously start to wonder about her and voldemort and connect the dots re: delphi etc but nobody ever gets any concrete answers bc there’s never any public pda.. any sort of affection is limited to when it’s just the two of them. and obviously it’s not like voldemort gossips about his private life in tabloid interviews or whatnot. ALSO the whole Bella Is Alive reveal isn’t nearly as dramatic as delphi’s big moment.. it’s more discreet and insidious in that way it implies that she was there hiding in plain sight all along. and if the ministry can keep sth this big a secret, what else are they hiding.. ah classic intimidation tactics of an authoritarian regime

29. i dont think this is ever stated in the CC but in terms of politics and bureaucracy i imagine voldemort has a fancy office in the ministry and spends 99% of his time there and rarely spends any time out and about. he’s almost never seen by anyone, rarely attends events etc. delphi’s the one who handles the day to day shit in the wizarding world. she’s like.. the public relations manager.. between the public and voldemort

30. bella is of similar status within the ministry but that’s just bc people are scared shitless of her. she doesn’t actually hold any political power and she most certainly does not want to, that is not her area of expertise at all

31. delphi is dangerously powerful and i think that’s really sexy of her

32. re: #21 it’s like. as voldemort warms up to bella, she in turn chillaxes a bit with the whole blind devotion thing and becomes bolder with him like. she’ll outright question his decisions or tell him what he should do, make judgement calls etc. and it becomes a regular thing.. turns into this casual companionship ya feel.. i won’t say they become equals bc that’s just unrealistic but he certainly stops treating her like his inferior. he recognizes her value and i daresay her authority and stops treating her like shit all the time Wow Romance Is Alive!! (this sounds like some sort of “douche fuckboi changes for his poor mistreated love interest” schtick but it’s really not that bc they’re both monstrous people who do not deserve any pity so jot that down. they’re horrible and they deserve each other and they eventually do make it work and i am so so happy for them)

33. it is never outright stated that voldemort can’t love. jkr has said that he doesn’t understand love and that it’s just symbolism!!! that he’s the child of a loveless union and grew up without knowing love!!! BUT THAT DOESN’T MEAN HE PHYSICALLY CANNOT LOVE thanks for coming 2 my ted talk. i wasn’t aware of this until a few months ago and i was thrilled to find out my soft hcs are not entirely ooc after all

34. THE POINT IS. THEY ARE A SEMI-FUNCTIONAL FAMILY and i just really love soft domestic scenarios so sorry jkr but the dark au is the only canon now and it belongs to me. everybody has feelings and everything is soft. i’d like to pitch an idea for a kuwtk style reality show but it’s these 3 sociopaths under one roof navigating family life and wizarding world politics

35. to finish i’d like to apologize for downplaying the fact that all 3 of the people i woobified in this post are psychotic murderers and tyrants etc

AND as much as voldemort thinks love is weakness or whatever he knows this, that they’re about as close as two people can get. lately got some ideas for new ocs so!! decided to try and scribble them up lmao

the original concept was along the lines of “twins but not siblings and very alternate-universe-ish” which is why i tried to draw them similar to each other ww

ofc that concept definitely evolved into something else riporoo. right now it’s more like one became a heavy influence over the other, and thus that’s the reason for their similarities. and then, i got the dumb thought that this is Literally What That OC Does - influencing or creating people similar to them. and then i tried to reason why even and thats how i ended up with two new ocs that arent even going to exist in the same universe/project lmao

anyway, the tentative names for the ocs is, left to right, Jack and Jill. i came up with Jack’s name first and well, there’s the Jack and Jill rhyme right? and theyre supposed to be matching so rip. Jack is in my [fated alice story] project and Jill is for my [dreamland the mmorpg] project.

now, for the real fun stuff!

Jack:

her name is technically a nickname, which is based off her title which functions as her name (but isn’t her real name? maybe??) for a majority of the time since thats just the Aesthetic ive seemed to have chosen for my alice project lmao

her title is “The Jack of Cards” - in reference to the dumb alice in wonderland motif ive got for this project, and yknow theres that whole playing deck kingdom with the Queen of Hearts and all that stuff so. yeah.

now, since my alice project basically revolves around a bunch of people who luckily or unluckily somehow become reality warpers - ive got Jack as one of those reality warpers, who ive been considering to call “Authors” bc Fancy

and tbh god knows how long Jack actually been around as a reality warper, but i currently got the feeling that shes been around for a Damn Long Time

anyway, Jack’s choice of reason for using her cool powers is to---create avatars of herself, which can range from literal clones to people she simply selects and observes as a really weird extension of herself.

her reason for doing that? god i havent actually nailed it but shes trying to find something through what her clones think and do and achieve.

is it a sense of purpose?? the meaning of life?? the alternative ways she can exist????? or is it the fact that she wants something---therefore believing that shes lacking something---the whole motive in itself???????????? yeah no clue yet im sorry

all i know is that shes secretly p melancholy about her lack of what shes trying to find

which ofc she buries away through her extremely weird form of soul searching experiments and a v cheery persona in general

tbh this guy is much less developed then Jack since i like. ?????? is the feeling

anyway, like i mentioned, he’s in my dreamland project - and in said project, ofc, is one of the rare few allowed to reside in the Dreamland, which is basically pseudo wish-fulfillment land in a pocket dimension

so the thing is, basically, Jack literally hopped into the creation of one of her fellow reality warper acquaintances, probably did some dumb shenanigans, and at some point met Jill who became highly influenced by Jack---and Jack in turn, interest piqued by smol boi Jill, chose him as her next avatar and then poofed the fuck off

what exactly happened is what i dont have nailed down in the least, and why i say this poor guy is not as developed as Jack is lmao

tho i get the feeling its that Jack did some magical shit to some assholes pestering Jill or something, and Jill was like “oh shit miss you have to tell me how to do that too i want to cool things like you”

anyway!! rough backstory aside - Jill’s personality!! is a complete mystery!! i get the feeling tho that hes kind of standoffish but say the right things and you get a damn motormouth who refuses to stop until You Listen To Me Tell Everything God Damn It You Asked For This So I WILL, basically. i think he also likes to be a lil flashy, but fails either bc he just Can’t Do The Flashy or is maybe a tinsy bit embarrassed of being super attention-grabbing in public

despite this, he definitely gets a close knit group of friends. I fucking guarantee it he has to

This is for the Anon that sent me this ask askin me why I ship the ships that I do. Aaand it turns out. Dee got no chill. So I wrote an extensive set of paragraphs explaining why I ship my OCs with these characters. My first ask rant tho! Yaay! (pls don’t judge how lengthy it is 😅) NOW! Time for the second answer for the lovely anon’s question. I’m just gonna start randomly, not gonna be ranking these in order of which ship I like the most or anything.

Mal & Kai: The two big elf bitches. The smol and tol thicc-ness. (okee that’s enough)

Now for reasons as to why I love this ship: Because it’s a beautiful ship that involves two like-minded women harboring healthy feelings for each other, showing great respect and trust towards their decisions and choices and each other. Despite them being the most fast-paced ship of mine that was forged during their timeline, it’s not just the big flashy steamy moments between them that draws me to this ship. It’s also the fact that despite their different backgrounds and upbringing and race, they’re both two thicc-af, BAMF babes who don’t give a shit what anybody else thinks because they care and love each other enough despite it all. And the fact that Kai still found it in her heart to accept Mal despite what she did in her past and blaming herself so deeply for it, just made the big lovable babe love her belfy all the more.

Another thing with Mal is, despite the stone-cold bitch vibe she gives off to everybody, she’s a total softie for Kai - she calls her nicknames like “honey, gorgeous, babe, sweets”, listens to her, compliments her and ready to fly to wherever she is to beat the fuck out of whoever messes with her smol babe. And the care and affection that Kai gives is just as much! She tries to help Mal out as best as she can, accepts her help when Mal offers it, actively works to make her feel better when she’s down, I can fuckin go on.

Jaz & Trobu: okay no more nicknames cuz...I honestly ran out. xD Onto why I ship this!

Honestly, a big reason for me is their similarities, and how well they are able to relate each other. Both Trobu and Jaz ran away from their homes because they were different and trying to avoid their parent’s expectations for them; I suppose… for Trobu it would be different, ‘cause his parents wanted him to be a Zombie lol, but for Jaz, it was for a sense of belonging and trying to find her own way. They’re both also in a way seeking acceptance from their peers; for Jaz it was more like she wants to feel accepted as someone who is stronger and not limited by what everybody thinks she is. And in a way, she’s grateful that Trobu never assumed or judged her by her surface, even though he’s like twice her size and most brutes she met that were as big as him weren’t as friendly.

Another reason why I ship this ship: they both start off as just friends mostly. The fact that it all started off as them both just messing around and causing havoc but having each other’s backs and being super chill buds, but then the feelings grow later on, is the best.

And yeah, Trobu’s a dumbass and it’s not like Jaz doesn’t notice it right off the bat, but that leads me to my final point; their personalities are well suited to each other. After Jaz’s rather traumatic and emotionally exhausting experience with her last mate, she doesn’t really love as easily as she used to and is afraid that if she does, the same shit would repeat itself. But the fact that Trobu’s just as durpy, albeit quite dumber, and willing to put up with her crazy-ass shenanigans and stories and likes her for herself (and vice versa), made her finally decide to trust him because...I have a feeling Trobu’s too dumb to come up with any backstabbing plan anyways xD. And Jaz definitely needs someone who can love her with just as much loyalty and honesty as she can.

Kersoroe: the most recent one, and the most ‘came-out-of-the-blue’ ship for me. The Cock and Green. The Ketchup and Mustard. The Chocolate and Carmul. (lul i lied i still have plenty of silly nicknames)

The reason I say this ship came out of the blue for me is because at first, Kerso and Roe don’t really get along and me and @flynneware agreed that at first it would probably be a fuck-buddy thing. Kerso thinks Roe is a good lay, and Roe is thirsty for that sexy-voiced orc daddy, so it worked (rubi pls dont hate me for phrasing it like that xD). But then. Then the fluff came in. And if y’all know me, you’d know that Fluff™ is Dee’s kryptonite, and it got me thinking about their parallels. On the surface, Kerso and Roe don’t look like they have a lot in common. Kerso’s much older and mature, he’s wiser, compassionate, patient and his idea of a good time is reading a book or sitting down to engage in a good conversation over a cup of tea. Roe might as well be his opposite; loud, brash, arrogant and always having a problem with Kerso’s sudden authority over him when Kerso comes into the Dragon Squad.

But then you see them interact more often and you see the similarities seep in. They both start to grow and Kerso starts to be more patient with Roe and after catching him in a vulnerable moment and seeing how he had grown into what he was, Kerso only wanted to try and help him. Because at the end of the day, that’s an essential part of who Kerso is. A healer. Was it wise of him to do that even when all Roe used to do was call him racist orc-slurs and threatened to kill him? Probably not, but despite Roe not being one of his favorite elves, he cannot just ignore an aching soul when he sees one.

Next thing you know, they’re both opening up to each other. They find out they’re both loners, that they were both tortured, been through so much, scarred inside and outside, but despite all that they both accept those sides of each other. And you don’t just see it in the big feels-y moments they have (and omg you guys, when I say ‘big feels-y moments’, I MEAN BIG FUCKIN FEELS-Y MOMENTS. I can’t wait to see if we can post the RPs here when they are done), but also in the smaller, yet significant moments where their support and banter for each other is also shown. You’ll get a kind of balanced relationship where they need each other, where they complete each other, and where light and dark come together. If you focus on all these things you get a complex and beautiful relationship.

gasp, thank you anon! I love the ocean aesthetic, so all these questions are welcome ://^D

Shipwreck: I do have a few OCs, but with no real concrete concepts- I have 2 touhou OCs and one SU OC, some old Danganronpa OCs and one Bungou Stray Dogs OC, and for my English Extension 2 project I’m making a whole cast of characters for a fantasy book I’m writing! I’m not much of a drawer, so I haven’t made ‘concrete’ designs for these characters, but if you ask which one, I’d love to show you! (this post would just be big enough as it is ‘orz sorry)

Cerulean: True love? I don’t know… as an aroace who used to have an extremely cynical perception of love, I’m more in the grey area. Sadly, most non-romantic forms of love are really disregarded these days in favour of romance, but I do like to believe that I am someone that ‘truly’ loves others, and can devote myself to people. I think, if it’s passion you feel, than yeah I suppose so! (like my true love for crabs and musicals ahahaha~) I think if you put care into things, sure it may not be ‘the ultimate love’ or whatever, but it’s true enough. Honesty is the best policy sort of…

Boardwalk: Favourite fictional couple? One that’s canon, or one that’s not? Who knows! I honestly can’t choose, because my ships are things that give me all regards (platonic, coworker, devotion, drinking buddies, married) So in regards to canon couples, victuuri wins by default (i don’t have anyone else ;v;) but non-canon? Probably Renmerry (renko and maribel from touhou) or Pearlidot…although with me getting into Bungou Stray Dogs hell that might be subject to change, these two are always top tier.

Coral: if my personality was a food, what would it be? Lemon, absolutely always. It’s a good side dish, with others, but not many people like it just straight up alone and raw. It’s adaptable, and is used in a lot of remedies, so it’s useful. It goes in all different forms, it’s a fruit, but also acidic and sour. It gives life zest, and I like to think that I do too! I like to think I’m pretty amicable, but it’s rare that I ever get close to people (trying me alone) and sometimes I can be bitter, sometimes I can be refreshing (I hope). I want to be someone that’s energising and useful, but I should be allowed to have my bitterness and sour at times.

Waves: Favourite season? Autumn. Forever. As an Aussie who deals with smouldering heat, Autumn is the perfect time (because us Australian’s think 5 celcius is a blizzard) the trees look really nice too, and I love the ~*aesthetic*~ it’s cold and crisp, but the crunch of the leaves just gives you a nice warmth in the soul (if people have them)

Seafoam: Ideal summer vacation? (Not in summer *sweats*) I’d love love love to go on a boat or a train and just cruise around different places. I’m not really a beach person, but I love the ocean, and it’d be cool to go crab-catching and cruising along on just a normal boat (not really one of those people that thinks a good vacation is staying in a fancy place) or the mountains, but not in summer ;v; I have to deal with 40 celcius weather on a 6-month a year basis don’t do this to me

Azure: Something I do that makes me happy… Acting or singing, that’s why I love musicals so much. I do a lot of piano in order to burn some mental stress, but singing or acting is something that you can do anywhere (if you don’t care about the people watching…or you do it under your breath when no one’s looking) I like to walk around a park down to my local beach, catch a few crabs (humanely) and talk to them for a while, hang out and enjoy the breeze (maybe read to them) before putting them back. I actually have a whole photo collection of crabs that I catch! (each one I name after a terrible crab pun, with the exception of the first crab I caught, Fitzgerald. I finished Bungou Stray Dogs Season 2 tho)

Rain: If it were possible, what exotic animal would you keep as a pet? Easy one, and anyone that knows me in Straya can answer. Chinchillas. (I love mantis shrimp, but they’re deadly. You don’t own a mantis shrimp, a mantis shrimp owns you.) They’re one of my favourite animals, they’re so soft and fluffy and really energetic (they can bounce up to two metres, and they roll in dust to clean themselves!) it’s no surprise that Minccino’s my favourite Pokemon either…
