Ys Memoire: The Oath in Felghana launches January 7, 2025 in the west - Gematsu

Ys Memoire: The Oath in Felghana will launch for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and Switch on January 7, 2025 in North America and Europe, publishers XSEED Games and Marvelous Europe announced.

Ys Memoire: The Oath in Felghana first launched for Switch on April 27, 2023 in Japan, followed by PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 on May 23, 2024.

As previously announced, a limited physical “Refined Edition” will be available for PlayStation 5 and Switch for $59.99. It includes a copy of the game, 14-song soundtrack CD, an acrylic diorama / keychain set, a set of four postcards with art from the game, and a graphic cleaner cloth.

Every day I wish ys fans existed I want to talk about ys so badly. I have so many theories. And blorbos. And crackships. And absolutely no one to share them with I’m fucking crying

Ys is such a hard series to get your friends into tho it’s like ok so you gotta play the remakes they put on steam and NOT the originals. Cause I’ve never played the originals and I haven’t the slightest idea what the differences are particularly in the plot and I’m not willing to take a risk on it. Also you have to be ready to GRIND LIKE MAD you will go down in two hits at the start of ys 1 if you don’t grind. And you gotta gotta gotta stay on top of your equipment load. And ys 1 and 2 have an ass battle system. Like I mean it’s good I enjoy it but it’s objectively ass. Pain in the rear end. So like. Play at your own risk. But also please play I’m begging you. Also ys oath in Felghana is kind of objectively bad too but for different reasons. But the plot and characters are great so you still have to play it anyways. Also it doesn’t matter what order you play them in but it kind does because they always reference previous games. But ys 5 didn’t ever get localized so you’re gonna have to skip that one. And ys 9 has terrible plot I’m so sorry. But the characters and gameplay are good. I promise. And ys memories of celceta is like also kind of a pain in the ass but I also love it. But I hate it. But I love it because it has my nonexistent crackship in it so you have to play it anyways. Ok. Do you understand

Ys Memoire: The Oath in Felghana Announcement

2005 Ys game Ys Memoire: The Oath in Felghana is getting a new release. The game was originally titled Ys III: Wanderers From Ys. This latest release will feature high-definition visuals and music, multiple versions of the soundtrack, accessibility options, and new character illustrations, but players can also play a Classic version, too, with the original illustrations.

Adol Christin and Dogi are returning to Dogi's homeland of Felghana after being gone for eight years. Those eight years have not been kind, with monsters now roaming the lands, an active volcano, and an evil new overlord.

XSEED Games, Marvelous, and Nihon Falcom's Ys Memoire: The Oath in Felghana releases for PlayStation 4/5 and Nintendo Switch in Early 2025.

Ys: The Oath in Felghana

Felghana is still a fun game. The plot is pretty thin, but it does its job. I think the Ys Origins gameplay style is my favorite, above the bump combat and the trio system that Ys Seven introduced. It's just a good time blasting through enemies. I should play one of these on normal some time, but I'm always worried that it'll make me not like them as much.
