The Legend of Heroes: Trails beyond the Horizon coming west this fall for PS5, PS4, Switch, and PC - Gematsu

NIS America will release The Legend of Heroes: Trails beyond the Horizon, known as The Legend of Heroes: Kai no Kiseki – Farewell, O Zemuria in Japan, for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Switch, and PC via Steam this fall in the west, the publisher announced.

The Legend of Heroes: Trails beyond the Horizon first launched for PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 on September 26, 2024 in Japan and Asia, followed by PC via Steam on January 23, 2025 in Asia.

I think it's really cute that the Dawn of Ys Guide Book contains an illustrated prologue of two kids reading about Adol's adventures. They appear to be the same children that appear at the very end of the game, with the red haired boy implied to be the son of Lilia and Adol.

Starting with the first game (Trails in the Sky) is a good choice, but if that isn't appealing then try out whichever installment above looks the most interesting. See if you like it and worry about the other games later.

Until relatively recently, it was impossible to play through the series in release order officially in English. So many longtime fans, like myself, have experienced Trails in all sorts of wacky combinations. So don't worry too much about where to start and just follow your bliss.
