"It's not funny"

You rush out of the bathroom, heart pounding, and immediately start pacing back and forth. You can't believe what you've just done. You were only trying to trim your hair, but now it's much shorter than you intended. Panic sets in as you run from the mirror to the bedroom, trying to figure out how to fix it.

Jaemin, sitting on the couch, hears the commotion and looks up, concern etched on his face. He sees you darting around, clearly distressed, and quickly gets up to approach you. "Hey, what's going on?" he asks, trying to catch your attention.

You turn to him, tears welling up in your eyes. "MY HAIR MY GODDAMN HAIR" you say screaming almost choking on your tears "hey hey calm down let me understand whats wrong with your hair its gorgeous" he says trying to understand whats making you panic " well its not gorg I cut my hair too short, Jaemin! It was supposed to be a trim not make me look like hanni from new jeans in how sweet MV !" you cry, breaking down on your knees completely .

Jaemin looks at you, a mix of concern and amusement in his eyes and he lowers himself getting you up off your knees on your feet. Despite your panic, he can't help but think you look adorable. A small giggle escapes his lips, and you immediately hit his chest lightly, pouting. "It's not funny!" you protest.

He quickly stifles his laughter and pulls you into a gentle hug. "come here my angy baby I'm sorry, I'm sorry," he says, trying to sound serious. "But you do look cute."

You roll your eyes but can't help giving in and flashing him a small smile. Jaemin starts showering your face with kisses,now making you giggle despite your tears. "Stop it~" you say, in between mixed emotions.

He pulls back slightly, raising your chin with his delicate fingers looking into your eyes. "Aigoo let me look at you, You look beautiful no matter what baby, and it's just hair. It'll grow back, and until then, we'll make the best of it together, okay?"

His comforting words and tender kisses ease your panic, and you nod, feeling a bit better. With Jaemin by your side, you know you'll be okay.

It was late when Kiyoshi and Jeb came home after the Valentine's Desaster. After they'd met Sai and Jack at the market, they went over to work on their secret project. Jeb's plan had been to leave their home to be out of the way and to not upset Saiwa and Jack with their presence. Their intentions were good, and if Jack and Sai hadn't cought them together, it would even have worked. Kiyoshi is sneaking around the houses to Jack's shop to make some cheese (as Noxee requested). Hopefully no one sees him this time.

Even though it's painful to see how Jack had reacted when he saw him, Kiyoshi can understand him and Saiwa. They had a lot to endure because of him. How is he ever supposed to make it up to them? It's his fault that Saiwa and Jeb avoid each other for days now. All because they wanted to help him. Kiyoshi hopes that Saiwa never finds out that Kiyoshi's mind wasn't as far away as they thought during their fake relationship. He remembers everything...

And as much as he appreciates Vlad and Jeb's help and comraderie - and them being by his side - he can't ask this of them. It only deepens the gorge between all of them. He has to talk to someone and ask if he can leave, so Jack can heal in peace. He will only upset Jack when they stay here together.

What advantages does it have to be a diety if he can't even help his closest friends? All the sacrifices he made to be able to fulfill his duties for the Temple and the Resistance - futile. He messed up his relationship with his fated mate Jack and even had to betray Vlad to the Council. He can't go on like this. Dtui isn't allowed to have any contact to him but he has to talk to someone. How is he supposed to live with this guilt? He's tempted to go back into the Tree but his friends would keep on trying to get him out there again and this would only cause them more and more pain...

Every second they spend here together is painful for all of them. Kiyoshi is also aware of that Jack is avoiding the Temple to let Arturo treat his pain. He's glad that Ji Ho helps him so much (and Kojin) but Ji Ho can only ease Jack's pain. He's not able to heal it. The pain is caused by their breakup. And it's impossible to be cured as long as they are divided...

Kiyoshi also made a label for his cheese. The name of his brand will be 'Moonchild'. He'd seen a lot of full moons during the decades he'd spent in the Tree. These were the hardest times for him because that was when he missed Jack the most. His Moonchild 🐺

The Warrior Cats project of the day is Get Up Shadowsight by RamKat! This AMV/PMV takes place when Shadowsight's nearly-dead body was found by Rootspring in the gorge. The lipsync at the start is smooth and fun to watch, and I love the way Spiresight seperates into clouds to reveal Rootspring! You can really feel the desperation and emotion in this MV, and I must say I really like the Rootspring design.

So, someone who wishes to remain anonymous asked me about my birchfreckle au and tbh imma just ramble about it.

While I do not have an exact reason why, but Frecklewish and Birchface end up becoming mates around the time Mapleshade's Vengence would have happened. However, this AU was essentially me going "What if Frecklewish had kits and got exiled then went on a killing spree?" and "What if Birchface was really the father of the trio?"

But Frecklewish ends up getting pregnant with Petalkit, Larchkit, and Patchkit and gives birth shortly after the battle with the RiverClan patrol due to the stress of Birchface's and Flowerpaw's deaths during the battle. Now, Mapleshade is pregnant with Appledusk's kits, but she gets found out early in her lie and instead of her being kicked out, she rats out Frecklewish as having a mateship with her brother and gets her kicked out. And with river trauma still fresh on her mind, Frecklewish decides to go towards WindClan for help.

However, on the way, they get ambushed by a fox and during the fight, Frecklewish hits her head and gets knocked out. When she comes to, she finds does not see her kits, but sees blood. And in her grief, Frecklewish seeks revenge for her kits.

First target for her is also Ravenwing, who did nothing to help her and voiced on how she should be kicked out. Similar to MV, she kills Ravenwing by the moonstone and leaves his body for hawks.

The next target is Mapleshade. And Frecklewish finds her and her kits by the river. However, she does not want to kill the kits and instead kinda lures them away the moment Mapleshade turns her head away for more than a moment. Frecklewish lures her target deeper into the forest, away from the camp, and close to the thunderpath. After hiding the kits so they do not have to witness the carnage, she pushes Mapleshade into the thunderpath as a monster comes by, snapping her up in it's "jaws" and carrying her away with blood.

The last target of her rage is Oakstar. She brings the kits to ThunderClan and sees Oakstar leading a small patrol with Seedpelt and Bloomheart. After towards the fourtrees border, Frecklewish can't take her grief and anger anymore and then pouncing to attack Oakstar.

In the chaos of the fight, Seedpelt and Bloomheart run off to get help. And during the fight, the two end up dangerously close to the where the river meets the gorge. With timing running out before the rest of ThunderClan would be there to save Oakstar, she throws him and herself off the cliff and into rapid waters, taking her life and his last life.

Now, my AU kinda ends here with Beetail becoming Beestar, but I also am lowkey also into the headcanon that a twoleg finds the kits who hid after the fox attacked their mom, raises the three at the barn, and they all become the surrogate grandpaw-like family that Barley and later Ravenpaw would need.

It takes a good two months before a year starts to pick up for me. The first big win was in the final frigid day of February when I decided to take the train to Greenpoint’s Academy Annex for some records; the first stop of what would be an amazing record-store victory tour. Then arrived March. I drove four miles to the shopping mall to look for leather jackets when I discovered a new retro- video arcade opened up. Within a few days I walk in and spent the entire day re-living my Atari / Nintendo / SNES youth. Those eight hours were a thoroughly exhaustive one. I saw games which I threw many rolls of quarters into, to others I only read about and fantasized even seeing up until then. The original Super Mario Bros. cabinet, The Neo Geo MVS, Outrun, R-Type, Taito’s Superman, Atari’s Star Wars. Most of every great moment of my youth spent in delis, card stores, ice cream parlors, long-gone restaurants, and amusement parks were now all in one room.

Good thing I went because my all-time favorite ginger April* made a rare appearance in my store and I had to tell her about it. She came in to buy some A/V components like she always does and we spent a good ten minutes catching up on everything. April was a fangirl and a hardcore gamer of all formats so I had to share the wealth of news with her. Too late. She already went. Still, every visit from her counted as she was the cutest thing of pale skin, glasses, and Irish ancestry I ever seen.

I had another holiday spent with my Coney Island family. My aunt invited me to her daughter’s house in East Meadow for Easter where they, her aggressive right-wing country-music loving Trump supporter sons, her sister, and all the offspring you could think of would be there. A great four hours were had coloring eggs, watching Disney’s Encanto on the big screen, and an endless feast of Italian food were laid out for all to gorge ourselves to death. Blessings were counted and they were enough to cash them in for a bright sunny Sunday. I also enjoyed the hour-long drive from East Meadow through Rt. 27 all the way home.

In between all this was a major event I was chasing for a while. It would be nice to attend a Boy Harsher show and they’ve been making the rounds in New York City quite often. I jumped at the opportunity to purchase tickets after their Halloween show and ultimately got them - only for January show to be postponed. Blame the COVID- omicron for it. But Jae & Augustus pushed it back to April and this time nothing was stopping them from performing nor anyone attending The Music Hall Of Williamsburg.

I learned that it was a two-hour ride each way from my line to Penn Station and back due to transfers at the Jamaica Station. Not good as I had to work a 10AM shift. This time, I opted to drive out to the Babylon stop for a direct line to Manhattan and back for fifty-five minutes each. I went up the stairs and waited only a few minutes before the train arrived on an elevated platform. Nothing special about the train ride on a cloudy mid-50* weather. The show, however, was a whole other story. Everyone enjoyed the opener Twin Tribes and the headlining Boy Harsher hands-down to great fanfare. I couldn’t have waited in line to get some merch- as, once again, someone had to ride home for tomorrow’s payday.

I reversed the path from The Music Hall- by taking the L and ½/3 line back to Penn Station. It just so happened that I missed my train home by three minutes and it cost me an hour more before the next one came in. As I mentioned before, no transfers. Just a direct line from Penn Station back to Babylon where the double-decker cars awaited us. A nice surprise for me sitting in the seats above to contemplate my next major win: Sacred Bones’ 15th anniversary show. It could only get better.

Fifteen years ago from this month, a new concept was born. I purchased a 30GB iPod Classic through a ‘friend’ of mine at WUSB. Since then, I loaded all of my music into it and took it through many train rides. The iPod Classic has retired in favor of my iPhone SE. What once became a distraction has now been an auditioning process for future Omega WUSB shows and seasonal personal playlists. Nothing is off limits. Noise, backpacker, jazz, fusion, shoegaze, noise rock, post-punk, electronics, hardcore - everything. Everything I discover gets played in hopes of either being featured or forever a part of me. With a near endless plethora of outlets, mutuals, and other ways of obtaining music, there’s almost never a moment of silence outside of work or sleep.

oh my god so I know I constantly say Proxie never misses but they really don't?? this song is SO good. it's giving me everythinggg I miss from recession pop, yearning included, and I love it. in an ultra rare moment for ANY modern pop group, the rap parts don't feel out of place or like the song could be fully functional without them. i adore the styling and the simplicity of the mv that really just allows you to focus on the song. the bridge is gorg. really i have no notes. life changing, transcendent, beautiful, and I could easily listen to this song 100 times in a row and not be sick. 90% likely to be my tpop soty
