I'm reading 'Think Again' by Adam Grant (good read btws) and he says to help convince people to come to your viewpoint that it can be good to have 2 or 3 strong points instead of 10 mixed points. Well, listen, the fascism, the transphobia, the chaos, and the unwavering support for autocrats all over the planet really ought to be enough to outweigh anything else, if you ask me. It sounds like you know some people who got excited about the companies he threw money at, and they are having a tough time updating their feelings due to current events. Or maybe they share his values and don't want to admit that.

But I'll try to offer some simple facts.

He did not do engineering with Tesla or SpaceX or even PayPal. He is a fraud. He walked into these existing businesses, where people had done actual work and engineering, threw some of his Apartheid money at them, and took credit for their work. He claims, over and over again, to be a founder of these companies, and that's just straight up a lie that is easily disproved.

He literally did nothing except throw money at people and take credit for their work. Look at every Tesla up to the (chokes back laughter) Cybertruck. Those Teslas look like cars, because they were designed by engineers. Look at the Cybertruck. When you stop laughing at what a joke it is, know this: that's what happens when Elon Musk is in charge. It's like a ten year-old with some crayons drew it on a menu at Denny's.

All of the things his weird fans claim he made possible, are things that would have happened, and were in the process of happening, without him. He literally did nothing to advance the technologies or engineering. In fact, SpaceX whistleblowers have told reporters how they had to keep Musk occupied with bullshit, so they could do the real work without him fucking it up all the time with his incompetence.

But even if he were telling the truth, even if the myth were fact, it would not outweigh the damage, the pain, the chaos, and the suffering he has inflicted on millions and millions of people, all over the world with his lies, his spread of misinformation, and his incitement of angry incels.

Also, don't forget, when Ukraine was trying to defend itself, he turned off Starlink access when they could have decisively ended Russia's aggression. A lot of people have suffered and died as a direct consequence of that action, which he took to support his buddy and fellow autocrat, Vladimir Putin.

That's more information than I think your friends will be willing to hear. Studies indicate that people who are heavily invested in the myth of a person will fight hard to hold onto the myth, and reject truth and facts, because it's so jarring to them. Musk has built a cult of personality, and maybe your friends are stuck to it.

I'd gently encourage your friends to consider one key fact: he has lied about his entire origin story, he has lied about his contributions to Tesla and SpaceX. He lies about everything, except when he posts on Twitter like a 12 year-old edgelord, because that's who he is, emotionally.

Finally, and this is for you, specifically: if your friends insist on supporting a fascist, a racist, a misogynist, or a bigot, because they think rockets are cool, maybe it's time to look for new friends.

My thoughts on HEARTSTEEL (even though no one asked):

I should start off by saying that my expectations going into this were very low. I know that Riot's music team never disappoints, but the leaked splash art was a bit of a let down in my opinion so I tried not to get my hopes up and I was hoping some things would be changed before the skins' release.

Regardless, I watched the music video as soon as it premiered... and I haven't been able to stop listening to it since. The song is SO GOOD!! It took me a couple of listens before I really got into it, but to say it's grown on me is an understatement. Sure, it's not better than POP/STARS (that's a given), but I can honestly say I like it better than GIANTS.

The song might be a banger, but my grievances come from pretty much everything else.

First of all, I think the casting could have been better. Baekhyun as Ezreal was great, but everyone else just felt... Off?? I got whiplash when Kayn started rapping because his voice just caught me so off-guard (though I suppose it was Rhaast rapping, so that makes more sense). Sett and K'Sante were a bit better, but I still think it was iffy casting overall. There's just such a stark contrast between their singing/rapping voices and their normal talking voices that doesn't sound quite right to me.

Second, the music video was pretty decent. As I stated before, my expectations weren't very high, so considering how low the bar was I wasn't disappointed. There were a lot of good moments in it that I really enjoyed, but overall I felt that it didn't flow as well as it could have. I thought it was very flashy, fast-paced, and chaotic. This is all subjective, but I think the video could have been better. For what it was, though, it was decent.

Lastly, I wanted to talk about the skin designs. I said before that I was disappointed when the splash art was leaked, and the same holds true now. What I liked about K/DA and True Damage is that the skins provided a new, modern spin on the characters while still holding true to who they are. The HEARTSTEEL designs were disappointing for me because it kind of feels like they tried to change too much. Some of them work, but some of them don't. Ezreal and Yone both look amazing and I'm considering picking up Yone just so I can play the skin when it comes out. I'm still on the fence about K'Sante, Sett, and Aphelios. Kayn just looks mid, which is upsetting for me because I literally started maining him just for the skin. Sett looks like a car mechanic. These skins could have been so good, and I think what they should have done instead is gone for a more edgy/punky vibe all around. There are a lot of bright colours in some of these designs, and I think that's what's throwing me off. Kayn is the literal edgelord of Runeterra, and you CANNOT convince me that he would actually dress like that. The pink hair is fine, but the brightness of the pink should be balanced out with darker clothing (PLEASE just get rid of the yellow pants, Riot, I'm begging you. The design would immediately go from a 6/10 to 9/10 if you just made the pants black instead of piss yellow). The same goes for Aphelios, who is often characterized by dark, emo aesthetics. His design doesn't look bad, but again, it could have been significantly improved by incorporating some darker elements. This is kind of a gripe that I've had with HEARTSTEEL in general. Riot went with the same pop vibes instead of innovating and coming up with something new. The band in general should have been more punk-rock oriented than what we got. I saw someone online saying that Kayn should have been a screamo rapper, and I can't agree more. Overall I don't dislike the designs, but they could have been done better.

So that's the end of my spiel. I love the song, but there are a lot of things about the band that left me wishing. I just hope that Kayn gets a black chroma or something, and I hope that when they get a comeback after 5 years or so (if Riot doesn't forget about them before then), Riot listens to fan feedback and we get something even better. I think the group has a lot of potential and I've really been enjoying the Discord chats on Twitter. If you have opinions about the group, feel free to add on to this, as these are all just my opinions.

Ok, so here's what I can say.

You worry a lot about the well-being of your friends, kinda to the point where you get terrified that they're dead or in critical condition. This could stem from past experiences that have had a similar pattern.

You don't have many irl connections outside of family. This might be making you feel like the connections you do have are a requirement on the end of your family members, meaning you feel these things aren't earned.

You think your accomplishments so far aren't much, and you curse at yourself for making mistakes. This is too acidic to your brain gears, and even though you've seen it first-hand how forgiving your environment is, you still convince yourself you're not good enough. This is not healthy in the slightest, your brain gears can't keep going with this.

You've lost quite a few things that were precious to you, and you haven't quite processed it yet. But to quote that one song by Tree, "All good things come to an end, / It's just the way it's always been. / It's might not seem that fair to you, / But it is the start of something new." Yeah, sure, you know that song because of a friend you aren't really able to talk to anymore, but it's a positive thing that was left behind, yes?

You question if people would miss you if you just up and left one day. This has been proven wrong on several occasions. Your siblings miss you when you're at work. Mom, Dad, and Grandma worry about you when you leave the house because they don't want you to get hurt. And if you need to cool off somewhere, several family members said you could stay over whenever. Like, holy shit, deluding yourself into thinking nobody really cares about you is only that toxic edgelord shit that hurts everyone around you.

You are currently getting out of a self-deprecating part of your life. It's really tempting to make "Doober the Illiterate" jokes at yourself again, but that only really opens the door for more negativity that winds up pushing others away. People notice it.

You forget to take care of yourself tbh. You're addicted to caffeine, drink coffee, energy drinks, and Arizonas more than actually drinking water, and you hadn't consistently eaten any healthier. Those veggie trays at the minimart are OK, but you stopped eating those for some reason. You lack that discipline because taking care of yourself feels... lame? It's not, though. You often feel a little better afterward and, in general, feel the difference.

So, tl;dr: It's ok to hurt, life is super complicated, but you gotta push on because people love you, and because of that, you gotta learn how to love yourself, and you gotta learn to heal.

It physically hurts to type this out but here is the wicked statement many fans believe to be true:

What I feel like most fans fail to understand is that Zoro is not some mindless minion that would do everything Luffy tells him to do.

Assuming we have that out of the way, it's time we finally get to the main topic. The topic that had me stressing ever since the discovery of it.

"Zoro lost his smile"

Don't get me wrong - I'm not encouraging emotionless jock boy Zoro. Never. But the term "lost his smile" is just so... off putting?

Zoro didn't lose his smile. He never did. Yes, we see more of his smirks and flashy evil grins than big laughs and soft smiles, but that doesn't mean he went Yaeger mode and is plotting to nuke 80% of the population.

No, no, no. Zoro is none of that!

Trust me when I say he's not gone emotionless. If we're talking about absence of emotions, we should be more worried about Sanji as a matter of fact.

Many people say he has started to be less expressive ever since his duel with Mihawk at the Baratie, so we'll start from there.

Through the duel's outcome, he comes to realize and experience for himself that the gap between his current self and the greatest swordsman is beyond far.

Not only was this a declaration of his loyalty for Luffy, but also a promise to his captain and himself.

He has set his goals straight and is now training everyday just to get even an inch closer to that title as the greatest swordsman.

He has set those standards for himself so he can have a clearer visualization of his end goal.

So when he lost to Kuma in Sabaody, not only did he break his promise, he has once again realized that gap between him and the New World. That is why he gets on his knees and begs Mihawk to train him.

The crew's separation had a big impact on Zoro, and so did the news of Ace's death (Once again realizing he wasn't strong enough back in Sabaody). So for 2 whole years, he has trained to get stronger - kicking his standards up a notch.

This flat out tells us why he delivered this line below:

"Get a grip", "This is just the beginning of New World"

Out of context, it sounds like an asshole thing to say. But if we take the reason why was so upset over Luffy letting his guard down around Ceasar (and losing once), they are words of concern in a way.

Zoro does not want the Sabaody incident to happen again. Being helpless under an opponent is the last thing Zoro wants. With this, we learn that he is not willing to let those 2 years go to waste.

His obsession with strength comes from his ambition - and his ambition is tied to Luffy's.

Zoro is a treasured member of the Straw Hats. Meaning he is aboard Sunny, under his captain, and sharing Luffy's dream. He's onboard it all.

We also get a little bit of insight on Zoro's character through Sanji, who says:

And he is absolutely correct. But Zoro is tough on himself for his ambition. He is pushing himself to be a man worthy of being the King of Pirates's right hand man.

Thus, realizing the importance his ambition and Luffy's ambition holds, this is the way Zoro becomes stronger. We are seeing Zoro, as one of the main fighters, stabilize the crew like the pillar he is - not going "emotionless" or "losing his smile" at that.

Well shit now that you mention it I’m starting to question myself. Do I actually like David, or have I just convinced myself I like him because most of the fandom does?

I mean. I liked when he was saying funny lines and stuff because I’m a sucker for comic relief characters (‘What else do you want, Teruko, my hand in marriage?’ Lives in my head rent-free). But David isn’t meant to be a comic relief character. When he was shit-talking Min I wasn’t enjoying his character that much. I didn’t particularly enjoy when he made fun of Hu, either (honestly felt really bad for Hu, she entrusted him with that info about her name and he misused the hell out of it). Him revealing Nico’s secret because it would ‘ease conflict between them and Ace’ annoyed the hell out of me, since it was pretty obvious he had ulterior motives. Like, he’s interesting but…Now I kinda regret saying he was my second favorite character.

I know really liking one bitchy character (Ace), and only feeling okay about David is kind of hypocritical but I mean. It’s true.

Don’t get me wrong, I like David a lot. He’s super interesting to analyze. But I don’t think I like him as much as Arei. I might like Veronika better too (Now I’m regretting putting David so high on my character tier list, whoops. Maybe I’ll remake that tier list one day, because I think I screwed over Teruko as well, I put her too low).

I’m sure my enjoyment of him won’t be as high later on in the series, because I think you’re probably right. He’ll probably be more toned down in chapter three, and even if he doesn’t get toned down, there’s a certain novelty to his bitchy persona that’ll probably wear off on me over time.

Then again, I’m a very indecisive and easy-to-persuade person so I have no clue if my opinion on him will change in the future.

In conclusion, I like David. He’s just not one of my all-time favorite characters. So I can totally respect your opinion and all that.

So, About Oppenheimer,

While technically impressive, it ultimately boils down to a cramped, bloated, self-important biopic which never actually says or does anything significant whatsoever.

First of all, most importantly, this film has no reason to be three hours long. In fact there are about half a dozen points where it feels like it could have and should have ended except it just keeps going. Apparently Nolan was never taught either restraint or the age-old adage "less is more".

Worse still though, is that this entire bloated excess of time is edited like one big montage. There very well may not be a single scene in this movie that runs, uninterrupted, for longer than three minutes. The result is a senseless and endless assault on the mind that gives neither you nor the actors time to breathe. The characters can never play off each other, we're never really able to explore them, and we can never think about any given element of the plot for more than a second before the next jump cut slams something new down our throats.

This is done to create an illusion of suspense. The illusion that there is some big dramatic bombshell moment just around the corner, except it just never pays off. I can barely remember what the final scene was, because it was almost exactly like every other scene that came before it.

I caught myself thinking, halfway through the movie, that this should've been a miniseries instead, and that maybe ten hours instead of three would let us slow down and actually think for a second, but now I'm not so sure. Don't get me wrong, this movie still desperately needed time to breathe, I simply don't think more runtime would be the answer because I no longer trust Nolan to manage said runtime. Ten hours wouldn't give this movie time to breathe, it would simply add an extra seven hours of mess.

We all know Nolan loves using discontinuity editing, but this film takes it to such extremes that I can only assume he was high on cocain for most of the process, and not in a fun way. We're constantly jumping back and forth between three different storylines at three different points in time. While I admit I admire the ambition & vision involved, the execution is almost nauseating in practice.

In case you can't tell, Nolan's name will not be drawing near as much respect from me in the future.

The only good things I can really say about this film, other than the fact that it's technically well-made, are that it's at least something of a spectacle and the acting is sufficient. Nolan promised us a big explosion and we got a big explosion, and Cillian Murphy does a respectable job in the lead role. Robert Downey Jr is essentially playing the same role he always plays, but that's hardly his fault, and most of the other supporting characters are given so little to do that any problems with their performances do not have time to become apparent.

Ultimately, this film is condemned to be nothing more than another flashy, pretentious spectacle that will be rewatched primarily by white wannabe hipsters and edgelords who want to pretend they have good taste. They will like it because it puts up a very convincing illusion that something profound just happened, but because nothing profound actually happened they don't actually have to think about anything.

You should not see this film in theaters. If you insist upon subjecting yourself to it in spite of all I have said, I can't blame you, after all I have admitted there are a few redeeming qualities and it is something of a spectacle, but for your own sake, do it in the comfort of your own home.

I get what they were going for with the omg video but honestly it just made me feel uncomfortable especially when the song could have worked with other concepts. To nobody's surprise, it's a symbiote!Peter AU because I am starving for more content with him and y'all know I'm an edgelord.

Anyway, during a fight with the Green Goblin, Peter is off his game due to lack of sleep. He gets beaten up pretty bad and is close to passing out. Norman takes his mask off and his deranged scientific fascination gets the better of him, taking Peter with him to Oscorp. Similarly to the first Venom movie, they've captured the symbiote and it killed every host they tried it on. So, Norman has the genius idea that they should try to make it bond with a superhuman.

So, for the next six months, Peter (and the symbiote) go through horrid experiments to the point that Peter’s mind blue screens and forgets who or what he is (symby tried reaching for his memories inside his mind but failed </3) Norman has another genius idea, he convinces Peter that he's a weapon made for killing and nothing else. He doesn't even tell him his name. Then, the experiments cause Peter and the symbiote to meld into one entity. He still looks the same, just...y'know...he's kinda deathly pale and can create black goo tendrils.

Cue the generic scene of a lab experiment going on a rampage and breaking out of the lab. Peter's only goal is to flee, get away from all the torture he was subjected to, so when he actually manages to escape, he doesn't know what to do next. But he needs to hide, so in the meantime he figures that he should just try to blend in. Until he runs into MJ who throws herself at him, crying about how much she missed him.

Peter is stunned, because he doesn't have any idea what is going on. MJ stares at him, and with the way he's looking at her, she realizes he doesn't know who she is. She convinces to go with him to their apartment, they have a long conversation, and Peter is trying to wrap his head around all this. MJ's goal is to help Peter restore his memories, and she cooks up a lie that they tell to May, Harry and the rest of their friends about how he got kidnapped and the kidnappers hit his head, so he has amnesia.

Despite losing his memories, Peter has the urge to go outside and help people, but since he's been conditioned to use extreme violence, he kills a lot of criminals (which will be fun when he regains his memories and has to live with the fact he broke his "no killing" policy)

Actually, after regaining his memories, he's struggling with the whole "to kill or not kill" thing since he's practically an entirely different being, now. Cue mental breakdown and identity crisis.

But he really wants to kill Norman (so does the symbiote but like I said they're one being)

He didn't react well to Harry when he met him for the "first" time since he looks a lot like Norman. It took him a lot of time to warm up to him again.

MJ is at first fully determined to help Peter with his memories, but gets progressively more and more emotionally exhausted, and depressed. It's difficult for her to see how much Peter has changed and how he still thinks that his only purpose is to be a killing machine. The fact he doesn't remember all the moments they've spent together doesn't help her deteriorating mental state.

After regaining all of his memories and processing everything that had happened to him, Peter goes kinda....feral. He starts spiralling, which causes his symbiote powers to go haywire and he almost loses his sense of self. Thankfully, the power of love and friendship brings him back. He emerges a stronger person and has to come to terms with everything he's been subjected to.

He still wants to kill Norman, though. And he does during a big epic city-wide fight. But that strains his relationship with Harry that they've been slowly rebuilding.

* I've had this cooked up as a petermj thing, but I think it could work as parksborn too. You have the additional angst of Peter being resentful towards Harry because of Norman. Sure, he knows it's not Harry's fault, but he can't help himself.

I swing up and down on my excitement for The Batman (2022) from like moderately interested to severely disappointed. The reason being that I am kinda fucking sick to death of Edgelord Supreme Batman and the specific brand comic nerds that swarm around the release of edgy batman movies.

--You know the types. The very white very misogynistic ones who think "I've never met a girl who was into comics before" is a high quality pick up line--

But like if we are gonna have another dark edgy I Am Vengeance Batman then start-of-his-career-first-time-unleashing-his-trauma-in-the-form-of-fursuit-vigilantism-Batman is absolutely the way to go. Enough with the jaded I've-been-doing-this-for-years-and-Gotham-still-sucks-and-I'm-still-sad-and-lonely-Batman. Dude kinda sucks in that form.

Baby Batsy just figuring out where his lines actually are in practice and how fucked up of a ride he's signing himself up for is at least interesting and so there in lies my excitement, when I can feel it.

However remember that mention of being severely disappointed? Yeah, let's get back to that, because I've just figured out a big part of why I'm disappointed by this movie that isn't even out yet.

Initially I thought it was just because once again we are getting a Batman without ANY of the Robins. Batman is a brilliantly nuanced character who can stand on his own in general but you lose SO much of what makes him interesting and fundamentally Batman if you don't give him someone lighter/younger to play off of. So having him on his own consistently just gets bland.

He's like rice. A fucking great staple. Can really hit the spot on its own sometimes. Sometimes. However generally it should almost be eaten alongside or mixed with something else if you're gonna be eating consistently.

Give us a Batman and Robin and let us witness Bruce slip into his adoption addiction.

And while this remains a pretty big portion of why I am disappointed there is something more.

When I saw Robert Pattinson was gonna be Batsy I was unsure--Twilight and Cedric Diggory weighed heavy in my mind--but then I realised, with the discovery of there being no Robin, that it'd be fine.

This many times around with the signature no direct light sources style of filming fucking anyone can do batman so long as they can do a halfway decent glare and a kinda growly voice. Between the shadows, stuntmen, near monosyllabic dialogue for 80% of the time, and costuming you could seamlessly make a Batman movie with a different Batman actor in every scene and if you didn't credit every actor then most people probably would only pick out like 5 max and it'd be a massive conspiracy. Honestly, it'd be fun to see.

But anyways!

I realised tonight that the other reason I so quickly came to accept the idea of Robert Pattinson as Batman and why I'm so god damn disappointed by the concept of this movie isn't just that it wouldn't make sense for him to have a Robin, it's that it wouldn't make sense for us to see Brucie Wayne.

And Robert Pattinson would do a phenomenal Brucie Wayne!

Think about it for a second.

Robert "Kissed Taylor Lautner so Kristen Stewart wouldn't have to at an awards show" Pattinson.

Robert "crashed the Order of the Phoenix premiere after eating pizza and beer all summer just coz" Pattinson.

You can't convince me they wouldn't get some quality Brucie Wayne shenanigans out of that scenario. The only reason they'd need multiple takes is to ensure the full info needed for the scene got across and that people weren't laughing too much.

Dude could absolutely make the "do the butts match" joke feel natural on screen.

And the movie is gonna be too dark and gritty to give us anything even remotely in the fucking vicinity of Brucie Wayne and that is one of the major reasons I am pre-emptively disappointed by The Batman (2022).

Got into it in middle school because I was mentally ill and took every personality quiz I could find😭 I would literally spend hours on quizlet. So naturally I just stumbled upon mbti at one point and then got into ennea after getting tumblr at 14. My first type was Intj because thats what the test gave me 💀

I figured out I was an Isfp because I sat down my sisters and made them read through horrid cringe mbti posts and they went "well yea the artist fits you most ofc" (cus im good at drawing) and yea it was right 😭 Sometimes u just gotta go simple and admit to yourself you're a stereotype

With baby's first ennea core I went for cp6w5 actually. I just read through the description and went "yeah this works for me 100%". My first tritype + iv was spsx 648 because I was convinced Im this mean and dark person, also any abused kid identifies with 8 at one point lol.

Then people told me I wasn't aggressive enough, that I was too caring and a doormat, so I typed as 9w8 sxsp. The 9 lasted for a couple of years, turned to 9w1. The spsx became sxsp cus ppl said I wasnt contra. Its funny how people used to tell me I was way too mellow and chill to be contraflow and now they all insist I'm overly aggressive and so so so undeniably contra😭 The only reason I went from sxsp to sxso is because ppl agreed I was very sp-blind (as u can see, I've never changed anything about my type by myself. I usually always asked ppl around me how I come across) and I'm very obviously sp-blind so it was a good call.

I only stopped typing as a 9 like..a bit more than a year ago? I went from 946 to a 2 core 295 tritype. I had always really related to 2 but never typed that way because people insisted I was too much of an edgelord and too selective of ppl to be one. Now I think its just being cp6 + FiSe + sx-dom. So I went with 2 for a bit, but honestly it didn't make much sense and the 5fix was just so I could blame all my obvious headcore behavior on it😭 goofy.

But yeah then I just went with cp6 again a couple months ago, can't believe I typed my core correctly at 14 and then it took me 6 years to type that way again. I think its accurate, the only thing im iffy on is if im a p6 or cp6 (im sxso so its kinda hard to tell for me)

I guess my way of typing myself has always been about getting feedback/relating to others but it wasn't always right. My advice would be (if you're asking for advice) to keep it simple, to not dive into your own traumas or passions or whatever too much. Thats not typology, thats personal. Just think about what makes you you in the most basic way, how do you react to others, what do others see? What actions do you take? I think one can often blind oneself a lot. You only know whats inside your head, not whats subconsciously lying in your brain and you can get very caught up in your own idea of self-image. Other people have a better chance at guessing this. They see your body language, your behavior, your essence much clearer tbh. Just..base it on tangible things in your life.

By proceeding to genuinely act as normal as possible." and that's the story of how he accidentally became The Most Normal Vasil and also learned that having things like "conversations with" and "trust from" other people is cool actually. sometimes other people are like "hmm not actually sure if he should be getting kenzie* and the heartbroken to act less dysfunctional by convincing them that it's self-serving, like he might actually be making them worse" but he maintains that results are results.

Alejandro Saab as Yuri: Perfect, there's basically no other word I could use to describe as accurately how effective his voice and performance were in this role. He shifts from aloof, sensual, cool, witty, and emotional without it feeling awkward. The way he talks under his breath or just casually pokes fun at people is so realistic and charming it doesn't even feel scripted. It's a shame there's not more of him, I'd have loved to see this role expanded specifically to get into the different aspects of Yuri's character that Saab delivered so pitch perfectly. I also just adore taking a very feminine-looking man and giving him this sexy masculine voice. The contrast of being both feminine and masculine is such a fun trait of Yuri's that is usually skewed towards one or the other, but he goes total Jia Baoyu and that's how it is. Love it.

Lucien Dodge as Felix: He fuels my voice kink. Don't get me wrong, Hackney's Dimitri does too, but Saab and Dodge's voices just hit, you know? Like, as far as raw... attractiveness(?) Yuri and Felix are the clear winners. And I love Dodge's performance too. The force of his scorn and disgust is genuinely biting and Dodge does a wonderful job of the sharp, brittle way Felix clings to his beliefs because he needs them to be true. And there's also this dorkiness that is so charming. It really sells him as an edgelord who says things not because they're actually cool, but because he thinks they're cool and that's who he needs to be in order to convince other people as well as himself of his unwavering strength. And, at the same time, he's oblivious and awkward. There are a lot of instances where Felix is cool and a lot where he is a dweeb and Dodge performed both of those really well.

Joe Zieja as Claude: Obvious. He's only going here because I had to remind everyone of my voice kink first and foremost. Zieja is really fun as well. Wholesome dad core. I mentioned that I really like Toshiyuki Toyonaga's Claude too which is true but Zieja gives him this personable charm that makes him both incredibly effective at sneakiness and an affable friendly facade which is exactly what he needs. Overall, I'd say he tends a little more towards dorky? But I also really like that interpretation of Claude, he's a very eclectic mix of intelligent, kind, disrespectful, funny, and laid-back (or pretending to be) that makes it easy to believe he's this charismatic mastermind that makes a game of balancing politics. It's really fun early game because he's got a "you can trust me :)" voice while everything else kinda hints that you can't.

Joe Brogie as Sylvain: Listen. Look up Joe Brogie. He's on Instagram and did some anime impulse things a while back on youtube. Like, that's not why I'm enthralled by his performance as Sylvain but it helps. Anyway. Sylvain is both a fuck boy and a bro and Brogie captures both really well. He's another that feels really natural, like it's just a conversation with someone. Except for his terrible, terrible pickup lines but the schmoozy asshole way he delivers those is great. Brogie, in my opinion, makes Sylvain really likable in places where he's really not and is convincing with the emotional beats. The way he tells the off-color jokes deserves a mention as well.

Billy Kametz as Ferdinand: One time I was hanging out in a stream of his and my friend gifted me whatever it is that your name is on the screen and he said it and some anon messaged me after asking if it was me. That is, no joke, the height of my career. Anyway. He's great! I love his Disney prince voice and have watched the 2016 Aladdin stage show more than once because I am cringy. Ferdinand is just a Disney prince because of Billy Kametz and it makes me unreasonably happy. As far as favorite sounding voice, just the way they sound, Billy Kametz (and Ferdinand by extension) is definitely is my number one.

Robbie Daymond as Hubert: Sexy laugh + I like it a lot when he threatens people. Like, he did a really good job but also that.

Chris Patton as Linhardt: The best thing about Linhardt, probably. His sass is everything.

Allegra Clark as Shamir and Dorothea: Allegra Clark is wonderful and her work for both ladies is over half of the reason I like them.

Kirsten Day as Constance: HER LAUGH! She sounds like Barbie and I love it so much, Constance von Nuvelle Supremacy.

Mark Whitten as Seteth: The battle at Garreg Mach if you kill Flayn. I don't have a link but if you know you know and if you don't, look it up.

I know there are others I enjoy but these are my faves off the top of my head. I think a lot of the voice actors gave fantastic performances and I applaud their work!
